Temperature, group size, cleanliness, variety of classes and I can park in the garage. Instructors have all been great

I have mixed reviews about this location. The staff and instructors were welcoming and friendly. The room and bathrooms were well taken care of. They have multiple classes throughout the day, so it is easy to be flexible with your practice.
The cons:
Within my first two weeks of signing up, three classes were canceled for various reasons. (instructor has a personal emergency, the heater went out, and again another reason I can't remember). With the prices they charge, you'd think they'd have backup instructors ready to fill in. When I missed a class, I canceled on the app and was charged $10. It was ironic that they could cancel three within a week and not offer any reimbursement or discount but are quick to charge when I cancel.
Second, they say the room is equipped to handle 20+ people at a time. This is not true. I went to a night class so packed that people couldn't do their stretches without being in another's space. This was during covid as well. It was dangerous and uncomfortable for everyone. (This was discussed outside with a few others). I will mention this was a one-time thing for me; I don't know if they had a special going on or what.
There is a lack of diversity among the instructors and the sessions. Sometimes instructors would read off papers, mess up directions, or make things up on the spot. It didn't feel like there was a lot of thought put into the classes. I've been to a few classes in Renton, Federal way, Cali, and North Carolina. There are many ways to teach and engage a class, and this location fell short for me personally. It would be nice if they added more variety when it comes to music and energy overall. There was also a few times that the instructor would walk in a few minutes late.
Lastly, my NEW credit card was charged after I canceled my membership. A card that I did not provide to them. I do not know how they received my credit card information, but they ran it without my authorization. This was really uncomfortable. On the positive side, they reimbursed me and promptly handled the issue, but they would not tell me how they received my personal card information.
Things they can improve
- More diverse classes and instructors/instructor teaching styles.
- More thought put into the classes and the flow.
- Less expensive
Overall I enjoyed my experiences; my intent is not to bash this company or its employees.

Love this studio! They offer a variety of classes so you never feel bored. Class times are spread throughout the day so it’s convenient. The teachers are all super knowledgeable and very nice. Staff is also super friendly. Most importantly I feel like they really do yoga here and you really get to push yourself. Love all the teachers but Quinn, Alexandra and Alex are my favs. But honestly you can’t go wrong with this place. And they usually have special deals so definitely no excuse. Check them out!

UPDATE: I’ve been going to YogaSix post mask mandate and absolutely love it! Their restore classes are perfect for relieving stress and tension (which is extra important now). Their administrative staff is also very welcoming and helpful when you have questions. I was worried I wouldn’t fit in since I’m not the stereotypical yoga-goer, but that could not be farther from the truth. The instructors give plenty of advice on modifying poses and using blocks/bolsters to help give everyone a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this yoga studio!
I’m super excited to join YogaSix when they open. Alex was very helpful in getting my membership set up, and I’m looking forward to taking online classes in the meantime. If their classes are as amazing as their customer service, I know it’ll be a 5 star experience 😊

After 2 mo progressing w classes slowly at Yoga6, I took my first Hot Yoga class. Coming from someone who has lots of tissue issues … there are instructors who are spot on amazing every single time. I average one class per day for about three months now. Thank you

Disclaimer: I'd never done yoga before in my life so I have no other studio or experience to compare to.
After years of distance running and getting stiffer and stiffer, I thought I'd give yoga a try when this studio opened near me. I really love it. I like the variety of classes and the fact that instructors always give you modification options. The best part is how friendly everyone is: I live close and walk by multiple times a day. They always wave and say hi to my dog and me. During classes, Alex makes a point to call you out by name which really makes the whole experience feel intimate and not like you're just a number in the membership machine.
In all- highly recommend.

Membership came with the Y6 GO on demand and it was great! Really enjoyed the Yoga 101 class. No excuse to not spend some time on yourself! It has been awhile since I’ve worked on my yoga practice, this is great for all levels! I can’t wait for this studio to open in West Seattle Junction!
Thank you YogaSix!

Started a new membership at the West Seattle location with Y6 GO on demand with the recommendation from a friend! This is a great app with easy to follow yoga videos. I love the variety of classes they offer! Excited for the studio to open!
