The experience was the kind you always hope to avoid but is sometimes just unavoidable no matter how careful you are. First, pricing changed a couple times. So I reduced the number of windows to stay in budget. Next, the 8-12 week wait ended up being 18 weeks. There was no safety measures and a tragic mishap was avoided by mere seconds when a 2nd story window pane came crashing down right where a neighbor and I were standing. When I refused to pay an additional $200 due to a "mistake in addition" a representative of the company threatened to illegally withold county inspection and did not advise me as to the inspection time when it was set. Luckily for me, I was home. Workers were quick and efficient even though safety was disregarded. They do not clean out window areas so make sure you are watching and can clean and debug the window area before they install the new windows. I wish you better luck than I had. I'm sure not all experiences are as bad as mine. There are a lot of additional fees you should be aware of.

I am so happy with my new windows. Matt was a terrific salesman. He explained everything and showed me samples. The installers we so polite & respectful of my property. They worked so fast and cleaned up everything. Steve was very helpful in scheduling and follow up phone calls after my inspection. The price was so much better than the other 2 companies that offered me cheaper quality and still could not beat your price. I was pleased to send Matt's number to my cousin to have her windows replaced. I would highly recommend Window World for your needs. Next I am going for new doors. Great experience! Windows arrived faster than expected. Installation was done quickly! There was no mess and no need to touch up stucco or paint which really surprised us. We received 3 different estimates. Window World was the best price plus couldn’t beat the zero interest finance. Now the real test…. Seeing how my electric bill goes down.

We originally had Window World install 8 vinyl, double pane windows to replace our 23 year old single pane windows. We were so pleased with the windows and the installation, we decided to have the remaining 4 windows (on the screen porch) replaced. The window replacement process with Window World has been amazing. The quality of these windows is incredible. We've been able to use them in the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter. They make such a difference in the comfort of our home. The installers, Andy Wanderson, Rafael, Clayton, and Danny are wonderful. They are all efficient, professional, courteous and got the installation done perfectly and timely. These guys know what to do and get it done properly. They did our first window replacement and we requested Andy and his team for our second window replacement. What a fantastic team they are. I wish I could say I had an excellent experience from start to finish, but I cannot. The ordering went well, the salesman great, we understood the 6 month wait, and then came the installment, this was great as well, communication was good, the crew was clean and professional. Then came the downfall. The windows themselves are not as sound proof as they boasted, they won't close without forcing them and holding them down wit 2 hands while the third hand latches the latch. when I talked to the installment crew they were not concerned, then when I spoke to the field supervisor, he said the final touch up guy would fix that, when the final touch up guy came buy, he said that it is normal for them to be like this. Really? $1000/ window and you need 2 people to close and lock them? This is not right.... So sorry Window world, 5 stars for service, installment and communication, 4 stars for appearance, 1 star for performance of the window. Average out your review = 3 OK after 3x called and them finally sending someone who knows what they are doing, my windows are now working fine... changing my stars to 4... job well done, but it should have been done right the first time

What a wonderful experience, from start to finish. We got bids from 4 different companies, Window World Of Tampa was on average 1/3 less. We are thrilled with the quality of the windows. The curb appeal difference is night and day. Our installation crew along with the gentleman that took our order could not have been more professional. Everyone at the company made us feel as though we were the only client they had. Our order came in considerably sooner than we expected. We were notified on a Friday that the windows were in, and they were installed the following Monday "only 3 days later". I updated my 1 star review to a 4 star review because of the superior job the Salesman Tom and the installation team did! Also I must mention the windows themselves are great! Now if they could improve the customer service (scheduling) department I would give them 5 stars! My original review: “The installation was scheduled. I removed all blinds, curtains, etc. Installation day came. No Call! No show! I called the office they informed me that they forgot to get a building permit, they apologized and said they would compensate us for their mistake (never happened) and rescheduled installation for the next week. I informed the customer service person we would be out of state May 10-June 1. They scheduled for May 6th. The day came, no call, no show again! Called and they said it was down for May 11th! They forgot We were out of state! I told them I would schedule after June 1st when we go back home.”

I had 6 estimates to replace my condo windows (original) with hurricane windows. Window World was clearly the most professional from the salesman to installation and pricing without compromising quality. I compared showroom windows, and thoroughly researched the companies. I am so happy with my windows. The installers worked quickly, were polite and careful (I had just had my walls painted), and totally cleaned up afterwards. Customer service was very helpful and courteous whenever I called. The only issue was that the window order was somewhat delayed due to the Covid crisis. But it was well worth the wait. I would highly recommend Window World of Tampa, and already have to my neighbors. I also know a number of people who also are very satisfied with their windows from Window World.

Keeping me informed of whats happening on installation is not good was told 8 to 12 weeks out. Had to call an see whats going in. They did give me a tentative date of Aug 8th. I've been trying to see if I qualify for the no tax . Still no answer. My sales person seems like he got the account an now leave them alone. If the communication is this bad kind if nervouse about the installing. Just a thought. Sales man like a car dealer. Once u buy they don't care.or no effort.

From the no pressure consultation to the fast and clean installation, I am very satisfied with the windows and the service I received. I received 3 quotes from other companies, and Window World was by far the least expensive with a comparable or better product, also with a better warranty. I received a quote and very high pressure sales pitch from another company just before Window World. It was a very similar product but the price was nearly twice as much. Also, Window World’s windows had much better safety features. Financing was quick and easy. The windows arrived in exactly the amount of time initially estimated. The installation guys arrived at my house around 9am and were done by 2:30pm. We have A LOT of windows, and they are large and some have special shapes. They covered everything in the surrounding areas and cleaned up afterward. I couldn’t believe they finished installation in such a short period of time. My den gets much hotter than the rest of the house because it has lots of windows. I immediately felt the difference in temperature after the windows were installed. I highly recommend Window World.

Not only are they improving my home, but I feel more secure. Too early to find out about electric savings, but anything was better than what I had (single pane windows). The windows are wonderful. We replaced all of our upper story windows with hurricane windows and are thoroughly pleased with them. The crew was efficient, polite, thorough, and worked with us to overcome a few challenges. Caleb, our sales rep, was also very helpful and efficient. First, the window product is absolutely outstanding. The fit, finish and quality is perfect. My wife and I were sitting in the living room when the installers placed the window. Once it was in place and they closed the window were amazed. It was like they had closed a vault. We could no longer hear cars passing on our street ! Secondly, the install crew was also amazing. Jonathon & Terry, a husband and wife team never stopped moving. It was like watching a window waltz. It took them about 8 hours to install all 12 windows in our home. Third, our sales/point person, Steve Shcherig was a delight. His presentation was informative, precise and on point. And when he quoted $8200, when Home Depot quoted $16,000, I said, where do we sign ?!?!?! Therefore, we are totally, completely satisfied with Window World and all it's representatives. They are a Class Act ! ! !

Update 5/13/21: While our windows have been providing good insulation and the repair department is incredibly responsive, we have found many of our windows do not fully operate. The top down feature gets stuck on many of the windows (we had 15 installed) about a third of the way down, almost like the window is too big for the size of the window opening to fully open all the way. We’ve had the service department come out a couple of times, and the advice we were given was that they would loosen up with time. Hasn’t happened yet, unfortunately, and we’re about 10 months in. We’re still happy we have them, but it’s pretty disappointing for brand new windows. Window quality is great for the price. We were quoted a two-day install and Luis and Andre got 15 windows done in just one day, which was pretty remarkable. They worked SO hard and had wonderful energy. The process from Dan measuring and setting us up with financing to Dave always being available made the process hassle-free.

We purchased energy efficient windows from Window World. They were installed today. The installation crew was polite, courteous, and very careful with the windows and our home. The prior year I had a horrible experience with a different company that only installed 4 windows for about half the cost of what Window World charged to do the entire rest of the house. Window World was able to have my new door in 5 weeks when other competitors informed me that it would be 8-12 weeks. The initial salesperson who visited the home had many good and cost saving ideas and provided options for the available windows. The installation process went smooth until the building inspector checked the window installation. He reported to me that there were unseated and missing screws. He asked if there was a supervisor on site during the installation process and I advised that there was not. When I talked with Dave, the supervisor, he scheduled the crew to come back and fix their mistakes. The bad part about this is that I have to schedule time to be at the house for the repair as well as an additional inspection. The quality of the windows is better than expected. The house is much quieter and the AC does not run nearly as much. Overall, we are happy with the windows, but could do without the missteps.

This is copy of my response to their after-service survey. To date no one has contacted me about these issues: "It has been a couple of weeks since the install and even after leaving a message with the foreman no one has followed up with me until this survey. One of the install team damaged the inside ceiling of my porch in one place that I directly witnessed, and (possibly) another that I didn't. I also observed this same person banging pieces of equipment against poles both on and off the porch and minor damage the inside the window opening prying out the old window. This is my second time using Window World and I was very satisfied with my first service. I would not feel as negatively if anyone had followed up after this installation, even after my requesting a call."

From the Sales representative to the installers, all were very professional and knowledgeable. I had received quotes from two other companies, one of whom’s quote was three times higher than Window World’s and embellished with a lot of information I neither asked for nor wanted. I found Window World by googling “Replacement Windows” and read the reviews as well as the product information. I liked what I saw and liked that Window World did not advertise on television as these types of ads are costly and this cost is added onto the purchase price of the product. Therefore, I called and scheduled and appointment for a few days later. The Sales representative arrived and answered all my questions and did not try to push the product on me. About 20 years ago we replaced all of our windows and sliding glass doors with Window World products. It was an amazing upgrade to our home in looks, r-value and most of all, noise reduction. Now after all these years, the sliders were difficult to open and we had a torn screen. We called to see about the life-time warranty. The only charge was $15 for screen material but the new hardware for the screen sliders and the labor was all part of the warranty. The installer, James, showed up on-time and did a fabulous job. I just recently had 31 double pane vinyle indows installed by Window. My salres rep here in Friendswood TX was Danny Taylor. I found him very knowledge about the product he was selling. Never any high preasure pitch. The order was turned itno their factory and I was to expect delivery in about 6-8 weeks. It took about 10 weeks due to coivd which they told me about in advance. I finally receivd call that my windows were in and we set up a installation date. The crew arrived about 11 am and started immediatley. First they rip all the windows out...I mean rip...lol. Don't worry they lay down tarps and in the end they sweep and vacumn up as much glass as possible. Since drywall is alos impacted you'll find sheetrock dust thay you'll have to wipe down. I had my house keep come in aftert they left to dust and vacumn. Once old windows are out they start the process of installing the knwew. All four guys had a differnet task and they all worked in harmony. I was so impressed that I bought 2 extra large pizza and some soft drinks for lunch for them. Once finsihed they'll show you how your new windows work. I should have done this years ago. Don't wait....call them

Not sure about the few bad reviews on here...these guys were top notch. I have extensive experience in window/door sales and there are plenty of shady companies. This IS NOT one of them. I honestly expected to suffer in quality and/or service because their price was so fair...but that was not my experience. First off my salesman was great. The way I work is: dont BS me, dont give me a dog and pony show -- give me your best price and you'll get a signature on the spot. He did exactly that. Window World was approx 65% of the other quotes I got. To my surprise they beat their timeline on scheduling the project and I had windows installed in four weeks. Most companies its 8. Next lets talk about Dave the install coordinator. Fantastic --professional, prompt, set proper expectations along the way. The install is what I was most nervous about. Figured it would be subcontractors, etc. Couldnt have been more wrong. Great guys, efficient, answered every question I had. Window World followed up immediately after install to make sure I was happy. This is a true 5 star rating. Doing projects like this is stressful for homeowners -- these guys made it easy. This will be the best review I have written for any entity. If you want windows, just go to WINDOW WORLD! I did my work and obtained five estimates. They were all over the universe. I had specific concerns, large window over porch and looking for safety and a good look. Of course none of that was in my budget. Every estimator came and gave me estimates for exactly what I told them I did not want. They wanted to give me what THEY wanted. I'm in the Tampa Bay area andJoe Pogash came to our home and had his own design after listening to my concerns. He nailed them all. All with a price I had never heard of. We are now the proud owners of hurricane impact windows! We never thought we would do our windows, after being in the home for 28 years. Joe took care of everything for us. When the windows came in we got to choose our install date. Joe left a specific sheet of how to prepare the home for the installation, while doing a walk through a final time. We were told "they are working with glass, sometimes people have a bad day, and sometime stuff happens. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. The installers came and watching them work was unbelievable! We have seen this done before, but Junior cut them out and did not break one tile on any window sill in our home! AWESOME! James was his partner and he's the neatest, most detailed worker, caulker, you will ever see! David the supervisor called to give me his number to call him if anything at all happened, or needed to be discussed. I never had to call him. So I called him the next day just to say thank you and what a great job! Junior and James did a perfect job. And, that is according to the City of Clearwater building inspector. Eleven windows and not one screw was off. He had never seen that before on the job. He said he was giving them an A+ on his end. Window World has the best designers/estimators and installers ever! My original post is below. I've updated the rating from a 3 to a 5. Had the rest of my windows done and Window World exceeded my expectations. Quote received in October and was told the windows would be ready for install in 6-8 weeks. They were installed in mid-December; the 3 installers were professional, hard working and cleaned up everything. We had to reschedule the building inspection 3 times due to our work schedule. The Window World staff was extremely patient and the supervisor texted and emailed me back quickly with updated info. Window World even scheduled the final trim to be installed immediately after the inspector left so we didn't have to take off another day of work. I would highly recommend this company and figure my original post issue was due to the custom order. Also, my first two windows were fine during Hurricane Irma where my old ones leaked. Original Post: The window installer and product gets a 5 but the long delay to get the product gets a 1, hence the 3 rating. Got several estimates and Window Worlds price was in the middle - higher than the big box but lower than other mom & pop locations. Got the quote in October but had to wait until the kitchen counter was installed before WW could make an accurate measure to order. Windows ordered 12/10 & was told they'd be in 4-6 wks. Called repeatedly in February and was told they were backordered. Last week in February told they were in but my city was slow with the permit. Called the city and was told that WW picked up the permit the previous day and the permit was issued the day they requested it. Hmmm. Informed WW. Told they'd have to check. Called back the following day and scheduled but the day before the install in March the installer had a family emergency so it was cancelled. I was offered another installer but decided to wait for the original installer who has the experience with tricky windows. Because of the delay they did schedule on a Saturday. The hurricane windows are wonderful; city inspector said it was the best install he ever saw. Will have the remaining windows done through them; hoping they can be quicker next time.

Price was best of 3 quotes! Interest free financing was hassle free and made this much needed investment possible! It would have been nice to see product samples with pictures or model during quote. Industry specs didn’t give this lay person a great picture of product or quality so decision was based only on pricing! Representative was professional and courteous. Windows came during specified time frame. Installation scheduling was a breeze as well as home inspection. Two reps called on day of install to ensure everything went smoothly and to assist with any problems. Installers could have did a better job keeping my home free of dirt and debris. Clean up was ok, would have been better if more furniture and flooring were covered, a lot more to clean when they left. Inspect Every single window and screen before installers leave. Make sure every window/door operates as expected. Pay attention to caulking and trim inside and out and the screens. I had them tighten several window screens and fix caulking before they left. The windows and sliders are beautiful noticed an immediate difference in inside climate and noise! I replaced full house of 7 windows and 2 sliders. 2 of my windows were as big as sliders. Dont forget to initiate rebate with power company, hopefully this will help recoup some of the cost for the windows! I would recommend Window World for window replacement. I will use them again when I am ready to replace front and garage door!

The installers were great. The problems started after the installation. I was given an date for the final inspection and told i needed to be there all day or pay a fee if inspector came and I wasn't available. Nobody came that day and then was told a mistake was made on the permit and that I would be advised of the new date which, again would require another day off work. After the inspection, I called to have the plugs and covers installed as instructed. Again, I had to take a day off work to be here when the Tech arrived because they could not give me an arrival time. at 5:15 pm nobody had arrived. I was told the Tech had a truck issue and would be out the following day. I again took another day off to wait for the Tech. When he arrived about 2:30pm, he said the warehouse was out of stack on that parts that were needed and had been for several weeks. I called to speak to a supervisor, but nobody ever called back. it to 3 calls before they agreed to send someone out on a Saturday so I would not have to take off work again. I then requested to speak to someone about compensation for time off work due to Window Worlds poor communications. I'm still waiting after 3 weeks.
