We are very happy with our cabinet resurfacing. It looks a lot better than what it did and it brightens the room up. The person doing the work was very tidy and helpful. The complaints we have are minor. We wish the corner bits were finished on the bottoms. Also we wish we weren't rushed on deciding on this company so we could ship around. We like the work but felt it was a bit pricey for just resurfacing. However, having someone clean as they work is the most appreciated thing about the whole experience. The rest of the house stayed dust free! I would recommend this company.

The Resurface Experts division of The Window Store recently resurfaced our kitchen cabinets. We are totally THRILLED with the results! The process was quick and not as disruptive as we thought and the installers were very courteous, keeping us apprised of the progress daily. They were also able to reconfigure a couple spaces in our kitchen (took out a desk area and replaced with a cabinet; added a lazy susan to a corner cupboard area.) We have received many compliments from friends and family. We would highly recommend if you are looking to update your kitchen.

We needed two (very old) attic windows replaced in our 108-year-old farmhouse. We had a great, seamless experience with The Window Store. Aaron, the sales person, was honest and didn't make us feel pressured during our quote appointment. We had to wait for a few months for the windows to be fabricated, and they were a bit spendy, but it was totally worth it because they're custom made in Duluth and are specifically made for Minnesota weather. They are excellent quality and we're very happy with how they look and function. Isaac came to install them, he was friendly, professional, and made quick work of installing the windows and cleaning up after the job. We love our new windows and highly recommend The Window Store.

The Window Store crew did excellent work for our kitchen upgrade. They guided us through the design process with good suggestions and creative ideas. They listened to our needs and were clear about the timeline and costs. Both office staff and on site workers were great to work with, returned calls promptly and handled needed changes in the plan without adding cost. We appreciated that they stuck with us for the whole project and promptly tended to issues that arose after completion. We are very pleased with the self close doors and drawers, roll out shelving, special design wine rack, very unique lazy susan, and more. Last winter, our patio door was making ice inside of our house and the insulation was not great.. So, We look up online to find a contractor to replace and install our patio door. We found out the window store through google and they have an amazing reviews so My brother and I decided to go with window store to fix our patio and they really did a great job! Our overall experience with The Window Store was positive. I was extremely surprised they came out to install our new siding in the middle of winter. It took just a little over two days to complete the house and it looks great with a exception of a couple of small spots where corners don't match up but that's about it. Maybe we're just being a bit picky??? The negatives were that we had an arm broken of an Adirondack chair and a few plants pulled up. Overall we're happy with our new siding and they were knowledgeable about the original make-up of our house and planned accordingly for any issues that might pop up so there were no surprises.

We recently had all of our windows replaced by The Window Store and it was such a wonderful experience. For this project, we went back with them and had brand new windows installed into our home renovation project. The Window Store did a great job replacing my window. It's huge, over 100 inches wide and the old window didn't seal properly. You could hear noise from people going past and feel air coming in. The new window looks great, fits great, has cut down on outside noise, no more air leaks it's everything a window should be. They sent out 2 guys to do the replacement and they were both very polite, efficient, and professional. They put a drop cloth down inside to help keep things clean and cleaned up the ground outside.

I love my new refaced kitchen cabinets. I was worried when I signed the agreement the day I met the salesman because I hadn't really researched what wood and stain I wanted. By the time the employee came to measure the cabinets, I had done more research and was able to change the wood and stain to cherry wood with a dark stain. The results are great! My installer was an expert and did a wonderful job.

I live in an old farmhouse on a lake. It was moved to the site in the early 1900's, and added on piecemeal over the years. On my 3-season porch (which I use year-round) there were 18 floor length windows with storms and screens that were old, warped, badly in need of scraping/sanding/priming/painting. I just couldn't face doing that job yet again. So, I contacted The Window Store. The entire process was wonderful- from the helpful, no-pressure salesman, to the amazing installer who completed 18 windows in less than 2 days by himself. He cleaned everything up, and hauled away my old windows. I couldn't be happier! I have been recommending this company to everyone and sending photos of my windows to my family and friends, who are amazed at the transformation! Honestly, every morning I walk into the room, and look out at the lake and can’t believe I waited this long to have the windows replaced. I love them!

We loved our experience with The Window Store. We were looking to replace all of our house windows at once + convert our front three living room windows into a bay window. Several window companies came to quote us, and all seemed way overpriced. We had just had a terrible salesman from another window company come to our home practically threatening us to go with his company, stating they wouldn't take our business if we didn't give them the money up front. Then Jake, the Window Store salesman, showed up and everything about his visit was a blast of fresh air. He was so laid back, kind, and non-threatening at ALL. He was very thorough in his brief presentation and answered all of our questions. We were also really impressed by the quote we were given in contrast to the other companies. It was an easy choice to choose The Window Store! We are so glad we did! Our windows were installed this past week by Ron who was very professional and efficient. And they look AMAZING. The installation process was a breeze. All of the installers were professional and kind. We were very impressed by their efficiency and could tell they took extra time/caution for the more difficult parts. Our only minor frustration was that it took 15 weeks for our windows to be ready (they had told us it would be 8-10 weeks). But we understand that the current pandemic/lack of jobs is hurting every business. We were patient and it definitely paid off; we absolutely love our Walsh windows and can't wait for our next project with the Window Store!

I was wanting to replace the old picture windows on our 65 year old house. I gave The Window Store a call to get an estimate. The salesman that stopped by was knowledgeable and courteous. The Window Store, Refacing Experts, updated our kitchen cabinets. We've been in out house since 1988, and the old cabinets were already showing signs of wear then, so by now they needed new faces. Cabinet doors were refaced. All the lower cabinets were replaced with drawers, making it easier to get at the things we need. The installer, a very personable young man named Josiah, took about four days to get everything in place. We are very happy with the work that was done.

I recently had all of my upstairs windows replaced in my 1970's home. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the product. Jacob was amazing at answering all of my first time homeowner questions. Overall, the experience was great. The only complaint I have was the delay of start to finish of the install. It started on a Friday. They were to return Monday to finish. Received a call saying first thing Tuesday morning. But they didn't show until Thursday.

They did a fantastic job with my kitchen resurfacing. Even after agreeing to purchase there was still a part of me that was skeptical how custom and seamless it would look. The results exceeded my expectations. The cabinets look beautiful and the custom touches I was able to do (i,e., extending my cabinets to the ceiling, custom molding, adding cabinet doors to the backside of my island, garbage pull-out) made the transformation that much better. Family and friends thought I did a complete remodel with new cabinets (and I didn't even change my countertops or backsplash). Needless to say, I couldn't be happier with the end result. The service was also great throughout and Jake (the installer), was extremely professional, detailed, and kept me informed during the process and it was all complete within a week as quoted.

It started with our sales rep who was extremely helpful in steering us in the right direction and really understood what we wanted to do. The installer was great as well, he did outstanding work. My fiancé and I used The Window Store Inc to reface our kitchen cabinets and install new countertops in our little ‘fixer upper’ (attached are before and after pictures). For the most part, our experience was great! John, the installer, was professional, on-time, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly. The only issue throughout the whole process was communication. If we had not called several times- & I mean SEVERAL times to make sure the correct changes were applied (we changed the countertop style and added an under mount sink), we would’ve ran into several issues the day the project was scheduled. Even after Mike, in advertising, confirmed and told me the changes to our project had been made, the first day of the project we were told the changes had not been applied. Thankfully, John took extra steps to make sure everything was corrected. My only advice would be to make sure you call and double/triple check on things; especially if you make changes to the project. Overall, the finished project was exactly what we wanted!

There was a slight issue with scheduling where the team they sent out to install my windows did not have the right equipment so install was postponed by about a week. However, after calling the company to talk about this, I was granted financial compensation for the inconvenience.

The Window Store was great to work with. Alex came out to look at my roof originally, but found a new roof was not needed right now. I appreciated his honesty. I had planned to do some window replacements for old crank-out windows with another company. That project fell through so I called the Window store. They were able to replace the windows sooner and with less expense than the other company. I appreciated how quickly the window install went. It was November, so it was cold and the installers worked quickly to make sure my home did not get too cold inside. They were professional, friendly, and efficient workers. on jan. 25th, I had the window store replace my bedroom window. the old window wouldn't close properly, and you could see the outside through the tracks. The installers, isaac and reed did an awesome job! They were very in-tune to all of my wants and concerns regarding the installation. They were very considerate about keeping my light beige carpet clean, and totally cleaned up all the mess when they were done. It was like they were never even here! The window looks great--I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Satisfaction Plus Plus !! We had our honey oak kitchen cabinets refaced with The Window Store. This company is awesome in every way! The salesman, Mike Leisen, was thorough and honest in his description of the scope of the project and how our expectations could be met. He gave me as much time as I needed to make a very difficult decision on which cabinet style to choose. And, the day after signing the contract I changed my mind on the cabinet color and he was very gracious and accepting of my decision. The guy who came out to make the detailed drawings was meticulous and insured us that some of our modifications could be realized. But the true STAR of the company is the installer - Jon Amos!!!! He is a professional in every sense of the word. His 20+ years of experience is evident in the finished product - every piece fits seamlessly, all the corners are mitered perfectly, every door is square. His work ethic and high standards, in addition to his attention to detail was paramount in making our finished product look so amazing. After living with a dark, 70s-style kitchen cave for 17 years, we learned that our good friends had their kitchen cabinets re-faced by the Window Store and were very happy with the outcome, the cost, and the short completion timeframe. Knowing we could neither stand, nor afford the total disruption and cost of a full gut/remodel, we met with the WS salesperson, who dedicated an entire afternoon to describing options, helping us navigate material choices, and telling us in great detail what to expect during the process. Due to covid, the ETA was understandably extended. We signed the contract in May, countertop/sink was installed in September, and cabinets were re-faced during a 5-day stretch in October. The installer was on time, worked hard all day, and cleaned up at the end of each day. He replaced backbreaking lower shelves with drawers, extended the uppers to the ceiling, and installed soft-close on everything. The room went from heavy, claustrophobic fake-mediterranean style to modern, accessible, bright and sleek, and the room now feels huge! Just in time for another winter working from home…what a gift. We were very pleased with our experience with the Window Store. From the initial request for our window project, everyone we worked with was so pleasant. The sales team, the window measurer, Jordan from finance, to Paul and the installation team; we had nothing but a great experience! We had 19 windows replaced in our almost 100 year old Craftsman Bungalow. We immediately noticed a difference in the temperature of the house and can finally sit by the front windows without being wrapped in blankets because of the cold drafts! The second best part about the new windows is the ease in which they can be cleaned! It's so easy to clean both sides from inside the house! A good experience all around. Good customer service and good prices. We had 8 windows installed upstairs. The installer (Mike) was very professional and considerate. One minor tweak needed to be made to a window that was sticking a little bit and they sent someone out within a week. The photo shows 2 formerly stationary side casement windows they were able to convert to crank outs. We’d recommend them without hesitation.

I am really happy with The Window Store Inc. For 25 years I have lived with a clouded patio door! It would also refuse to close during the coldest part of the year. Getting new windows has been on my bucket list for years. I am not fond of having sales people come out to my home. A recommendation from a neighbor made me call The Window Store Inc. Travis, the salesman that came out was a joy to work with. He was very easy to communicate with. The Windows Store (St Anthony MN) has just completed refacing our kitchen cabinets. The cabinets are solid but definitely mid '80's in design. With the Windows Store we have upgraded to a much more contemporary style, brightened the kitchen, and made some modifications so we can install an over-stove microwave. The roll-out drawers for the pantry cabinet are great! We can see what we have! The installer, Rick, was professional and an ease to work with. He has a great attention to detail, kept things clean and restored the kitchen daily to be usable for preparing dinner. The rest of the house, with everything removed from the cabinets, was a bit of a disaster :-) Steve, our salesperson, was great in helping us choose design, colors, and improvements, without a “hard sell.” I highly recommend The Windows Store.

We just had two exterior doors installed by The Window Store yesterday and love them! We are first time home owners and initially I was wary about the door to door interaction but the two gentleman that I spoke to were very low pressure and just feeling out whether we'd be open to getting a quote for any projects we had coming up. They set up an appointment for someone to come out a few days later. Our sales person, Howie, was exceptionally knowledgeable about doors. He helped us feel confident with our choices and outlined the projected time line and everything else we would need for installation to go smoothly. We recently had The Window Store reface our kitchen cabinets. The cabinetry in our home was custom built in 1962 but the doors and drawers were in disrepair after so many years of use. We maintained the layout, keeping the original solid wood boxes, but now we have sleek new cabinet fronts and new smoothly gliding drawers. In addition, they reconfigured the space to replace an outdated 24-inch double oven/range top combo with a new slide-in oven. The salesman was very thorough and helped us understand where we could save money and where it would be best to splurge. The installer was very skilled and did excellent work. We had a few bumps along the way, as happens with any home project, but The Window Store was very responsive to our concerns and quickly fixed any issues.

The Window Store just completed our kitchen reface project. We are extremely happy with the professional service from start to finish; and we are especially pleased with the finished product! Our salesman, Arlen, was very knowledgeable of the process, product, and options available to us. He was also very patient with our request to see new samples after we changed our mind and decided to go dark instead of light for our new cabinet finish. Once we decided to go ahead with the project, Arlen told us exactly who would be contacting us and what the timeframe would be for each step….all of which happened exactly as Arlen said it would. Our installer, John, was very skilled and knew exactly what he was doing. He was here on time every day; and completed the project right on schedule (5 days). He was very friendly & able to answer any questions we had along the way. Best of all, John’s workmanship was truly excellent! The quality of the products used is exceptional, where we refaced our oak cabinets with Birch in a Mediterranean stain. The doors & drawers (100% birch for the front; and dovetail drawers made with cherry) are just beautiful; and we love the hidden hinges and soft-close doors/drawers that are included. The Window Store was also easily able to do the customizations we asked for (ie, John raised the floor of the cabinet above the fridge so that we can fit in a larger fridge someday; and they pre-built cabinet boxes that extended our old cabinet frames to the ceiling). Again, we are extremely happy with our finished refacing project and would absolutely recommend The Window Store to anyone who is interested in updating their cabinets without having to pay for a full rebuild. Included are pics showing our old oak cabinets; what they looked like midway through the process; and then the finished product. We had a terrific experience and our cabinets are gorgeous!!

The process of purchasing windows from The Window Store went very well. From scheduling the appointment with a sales representative, to scheduling window measuring, to the window installation, to putting the final trim on the windows inside and out was a smooth process. The personnel were very friendly and knowledgeable about the product and willing to do what was needed to give me a finished product. The process began when I called The Window Store and talked to Laura who set up an appointment for me to visit with Jacob in March of 2022. Jacob showed up and told me about the windows and which ones would be the best for my house. He also explained to me about their word of mouth program or Advertising Agreement that would help in lowering the cost of the windows. They would take before and after pictures of my windows to show the final product and the difference their windows made in increasing the value of my home. I decided to purchase the windows. Jacob said that the windows would not be ready until the end of June, beginning of July. I thought that would be fine. I then scheduled an appointment for the following week for an employee to come out and measure for my new windows. I received a call from Hailey to schedule an appointment for the installation of my new windows. After several rounds of phone tag we finally connected. She wanted to set up a time to install my windows, this was at the end of April beginning of May. 2 months earlier than expected. Windows were installed mid May. Izzy was the main installer with another installer and they did a very nice job. They finished installing the windows on Friday and would come back on Monday to finish putting the outside trim on the windows. Needed to allow for the foam insulation time to harden and set before putting the final outside trim on the windows. I was not happy about how the window sill area and trim looked for my front window. Izzy mentioned that sanding down the area and painting it the trim color would work in making it look finished. I was not satisfied with that answer. I waited until Monday to discuss other options for my front window. Came home and Jake and another installer were doing the finish work on the outside part of the windows. They did a great job of putting the outside trim on the windows. The windows look awesome. When they were close to being finished I asked Jake if he could come in and look at my front window. I explained to him the situation and he had some ideas of what he could do to remedy the situation and would come back on Thursday. Jake came back on Thursday and put 1 inch trim all the way around the windows on the inside. Great idea and it looks awesome. Now the front window on the inside looks finished. Very happy with the result. I am very pleased with my windows. It is great to have the ability to open all of my windows on nice days and get some air flow through my house. I could notice the noise dampening effect of the windows as soon as they were all installed. Now I can’t wait for the energy efficiency they will bring. Overall very, very pleased with my purchase of windows and the professionalism of its employees from The Window Store.

I have had a great experience with The Window Store. Travis was incredibly helpful in getting me setup with brand new windows and patio doors, which were replacing windows installed back in the early 70s. I never used to open my windows or doors for fresh air, because the seals were so bad that bugs would fly through. Every winter I had to wrap my windows and doors in plastic, and even then the plastic would have frost on the inside. Great price, great product, great people. What else can you ask for? Another benefit is my AC runtime. My AC has been running 30-40% less since my new windows were installed. An absolute game changer.

Kim was wonderful, she walked us through all of the options that we had for windows. We had 49 yr old, odd shaped windows through out our townhouse. She was able to envision what would look best in our dining room. I never envisioned large casement windows there, but they are gorgeous there. Kim was wonderful and walked us through every aspect of what to expect. Charlie's crew came through and in one day replaced all of our windows. They were quick, efficient, and wonderful. We have windows that we love. Should we ever move and need new windows, I know what company to call. Thank you for giving this old house a beautiful update. We can see clearly now!

Had cabinet refacing on old 1960's maple cabinets & 1980's home store cabinets with cherry. Looks great, love it. Great workmanship done by Jim G. Took 3 1/2 days. Protected the work space & kept everything clean. Very pleased.

I would recommend The Window Store Inc. In 2013 we had 2 lite sliders, a 3 lite sliders and 1 double hung. We wanted to pay these off before finishing the rest of the house. We moved into our house in 2004 and the windows were really old, storm windows, very hard to open, wooden windows hard to open. Now 2021 we finally finished the windows and front door and patio door. We love the way our cabinets look, and the work is of very good quality. I love that the doors and drawers are made from real wood, and not MDF. The sales person worked with us to find a way for us to afford the project. Even with real wood they were more affordable than other companies we got quotes from. There was a bit of a snafu with our breadboard, and we had someone come in twice to correct it. I am satisfied with the way it was fixed, but it's not perfectly lined up. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend The Window Store for cabinet refacing.

We had The Window Store replace 6 old single-pane windows including our dining room picture window. Every step of the process went smoothly from the estimates to the installation. The time to manufacture was longer than we'd hoped but that was out of their control and still within the 4-8 weeks they originally quoted. They continued to communicate and send updates and once they had the windows, the install appointment happened quickly. The installer even found some bad seals on other windows we didn't have them replace and caulked them up to prevent further damage. We have more windows that will need replacing over time and we will definitely return to The Window Store when we do. UPDATE: Removed a star because the service department has completely blown me off. A technician came out about an issue with a window not staying open. He said he's get back to me about a fix but hasn't. I've reached out in 3 different contacts forms with no response. This was 4 weeks ago.

The Window Store Inc just recently replaced the roof on my house and garage. The sales person I worked with was very helpful and knowledgeable. He explained everything in detail. The roof was done on schedule. The roofing crew arrived early and had all work done and the yard cleaned up by mid-afternoon. The crew laid done tarps to collect the roofing debris and did a great job at cleaning up. I was impressed with how fast they worked and what a great job they did. Everyone I worked with from the sales rep to the roofing crew were courteous and friendly. As new homeowners, we were novices in the home improvement category, but knew something had to be done about our house's original 1964 windows. After researching reputable window manufacturers, we found Walsh Windows (which are made in Duluth!), which led us to The Window Store. Howie Garren came over the next day for a sales introduction, and presented us with a quote that was very workable. We did agree to the advertising contract--which requires a sign be placed on our property and left for 60 days, and a review be written within 30 days of installation-- in exchange for a discount on our project. Although I was initially wary of this agreement, now that our new inserts are in, I am very happy with the product and the quality of the installation, and would recommend The Window Store to others looking to upgrade their windows.

We had a very positive experience with the Window Store Inc. We knew that we didn't need to replace our cabinet bases, but still needed an update. Our sales manager did a great job of walking us through the process and helping us pick out details like material type, design, and color. We were even able to swap out a few cabinets for drawers or flip drawers and appreciate the "modern amenities" like hidden soft close hinges not found in our original 1950s kitchen. Our installer was wonderful, paid so much attention to detail, and was really dedicated to making our kitchen look perfect. It really does look brand new! We had a slight hiccup where our project took a bit longer than expected, but it wasn't anything major and is something that we factored in anyway (construction always takes a day or two longer than anticipated and I would guess that the COVID boom in projects is largely to blame and will soon fizzle out). We're very satisfied with the product and the service and I would definitely recommend the Window Store to anyone looking to do a similar project.

Now I can open a window with 1 finger if I wanted - no stick required. I had no way to clean my old windows, now just swing them in. Overall an ok experience. Job was completed by a contractor and 2 Window Store employees. One of their employees was only on the job for one day, leaving 2 people to finish. After the original installation, I noticed that the 2-light sliders had been installed incorrectly. The center of the bottom was either not shimmed correctly or the installers had tightened the center screw way too tight. The bottom was bowing down noticeably as there was a gap in the screen to bottom track. They did send the contractor back to correct this and so far I am happy with the results. Adam - the contractor - seemed to be much more concerned with the install than the employees of the Window Store. Time will tell how the quality of the installation may affect the windows. Side note - they did not clean the windows before leaving.

The windows have brought so much additional light and living on a busier street, we’ve already noticed a reduction in the sounds of traffic. Last week we had 7 of our windows redone. The Window Store replaced the original windows from the 70s that would stick and barely worked. We are very happy with the new product as they slide with ease and certainly seem to keep the noise and heat out so far this spring. The install crew was very fast and efficient however we wish they had at least done one final walkthrough as they had missed putting some filler caps in several of the windows and I am hoping that was all they had glanced over. We also thought they would be putting down some drop cloths or protection for our floors however they did not and we found several chunks of pink insulation under the bed. Product seems great but we would have preferred a little more of a quality install.

I was initially skeptical of the kitchen cabinet refacing idea, but now I am a believer. Our kitchen was completely transformed for about half the cost and considerably less disruption. Refacing was a good option for us, as we had already replaced countertops and backsplash (we were resigned to just living with our old cabinets). Refacing allowed us to enhance the work that was already done without demo or replacement. With some negotiation and compromises, we got the price to a level we were comfortable with. The original refacing work was done in the promised timeframe. There were 6 doors that were slightly incorrectly sized and had to be replaced-- it took a couple of months to get those installed but the communication throughout was good, and I was not billed until the project was completed to our satisfaction. The entire team (salesperson, designer, installers, office staff, etc.) were always helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend.

The Window Store replaced all 12 of the windows in my home. Eight windows were replaced the first full day of installation and the last 4 large livingroom windows were installed on a separate day. The quality of the window unit is beyond my expectations all were vinyl foam filled frames, Double glazed, Low E coating (e=0.042, S3), Argon/air filled windows. The installers were friendly and courteous and made sure we were perfectly happy with our window order during installation. The window store team made accommodations to give us exactly what I wanted, windows that were the same form, fit and function that I was used to for 54 years but with the advanced LoE-272 window glass technology. The installers were nice people, hardworking and cleaned up the jobsite when finished. The entire window store team made sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed and answered to our satisfaction every step of the way. I am very pleased with the final product, the 12 windows are a beautiful home improvement!!! The Window Store replaced our siding and back door and were great to work with. The work was performed on time, as scheduled. The quality of the building materials were of very good quality. Pricing is reasonable compared to other window companies, they worked with us to change our original order when our home owner’s association didn’t approve the first windows we ordered, they scheduled us for installation considerably earlier than we initially thought which was nice. July 2021 - We did it! Last fall, we had The Window Store install new windows on the front of our house. We were so pleased with the results (looks, street noise reduction, and air draft reduction) that we ordered windows for the rest of the house this spring. The windows were installed July 1. Bob & Mike, the installation team, were really great to work with. They arrived within the project start window, protected our floors with drop cloths, cleaned up inside and out when the project was done, and were happy to answer any questions we had. They completed the job well within the projected time parameter. If you are thinking about replacement windows for your home, please seriously consider The Window Store. They’ve been great to work with through all our projects, two window replacement jobs and a kitchen remodel. Our salesperson is Sean Arco, and we found him to be knowledgeable and helpful with great suggestions for all the projects. Our house was built in the 70’s and is located on a frontage road facing a busy city street. We replaced the windows on the front of the house. One of the first things we noticed after the windows were installed was how much quieter it was in the house. The installation process was neat and efficient. Nick and Scott arrived in the time frame promised and completed the installation in significantly less time than estimated. Drop cloths were placed to protect the hardwood floor, and at the end of the process, the work area was vacuumed. All the old windows and installation scraps were cleaned up and taken with them when they left. We are very pleased with the appearance of the windows and ease of operation. The finish closely matches our existing trim, and unless we point out the new windows, visitors don’t even notice. Kudos to Shawn, our sales rep for his excellent suggestions and guidance in selecting the windows, and to Haley, the scheduler, for keeping us informed of order progress and giving us plenty of notice when we needed to clear the window area for measuring, before and after pictures, and installation. We’ll definitely be using the The Window Store again when we replace additional windows.

Since being installed, I've noticed that it's much quieter in my house from outside noises. It's also been quite windy and chilly since they were installed, and I don't feel drafts or air leaks from any of the windows. My kitchen cabinet refacing turned out better than I imagined. It is such a process and art. My kitchen looks brand new and I spent significantly less than getting all new cabinets. The Window Store went above and beyond to accommodate my wishes and timeline. They sent out a tech prior to my install date to rework and move my island, as well as to build the area to house my new farmhouse sink. Overall, we had a great experience with the window store. We're very happy with the quality of our new windows. The new living room windows let in more light than the old ones and look much clearer, and the laundry room windows are much nicer too. Make sure you get quotes from a few other places so you know what to expect. Our sales guy Travis was friendly and good at his job, but their promotional/advertising special price is only available the day of your presentation, so you want to make a decision that night. Thankfully, we had already gotten a few other quotes (including the first one which was a similar one day sale that we turned down due to not doing our research), so we knew it was a pretty decent price for what seem like great quality windows. Our installer Bob was also great. He made sure to do the job right and replaced the exterior trim that had been damaged by water, and he didn't mind me taking a look to make sure the frame and house weren't affected. The old glass block windows were cemented directly into the foundation of the laundry room, so those were a huge pain to replace, but we're very happy with the end results. There were some tiny pieces of broken glass left in the laundry room, but we just cleaned those up ourselves instead of bothering them to come out; the rest of the cleanup they did very well (and I know there was 10,000x more broken glass that they cleaned up than the specs that they missed). Overall, we're very happy with our new windows.

This is our second time using the Window Store for kitchen cabinet refacing. They did an excellent job in our old home, so we used them again for our new home. Although its expensive, you get top quality results. We compared their prices to Home Depot, and the pricing was really on par, but the quality was so much better. Our kitchen turned out amazing, we are so happy everything, and best of all, they were done in 4 days! On top of having the cabinets refaced, we had two sets of cabinets turned into drawers and had a new cabinet created for over our refrigerator. All turned out amazing. It looks like a whole new kitchen! They are not the cheapest, but their quality honestly makes it worth the investment.

My husband and I moved into our home in April and we knew we wanted to get our windows replaced. We had two windows replaced, the upstairs and downstairs living spaces. I've always wanted a bay window and The Window Store did not disappoint! Our dog has a new favorite perch. Kim from sales was a delight to work with. She had a wide selection of options to chose from and helped us pick out the right colors and window types to complement the inside and outside of our home. She was very informed on the installation process and was able to give us contracts for all the departments in case there was a hiccup at any point. Haley from operations was very sweet and got back to us quickly with any questions and concerns we had, especially since there was as slight delay due to Covid, but that was unavoidable. I appreciate that she gave us updates as soon as they came her way. Paul and the installation crew was phenomenal. They came early in the day, wore masks when inside, and were very quick! It took them half a day to remove the old windows, install the new ones, and clean up. I was impressed watching them haul up and install the bay window, that thing is HUGE. We will definitely be contacting The Window Store again for the rest of our windows.

The window store was awesome! They came to my door and was like what the heck i needed 3 windows for sure that just wouldn't open anymore,. So i setup an appointment. Travis came out did his pitch and sold me on the windows. He was very good at his job and fun. I have dealt with other window companies and this window seemed to be a much better product than what I had bought before and they sure are. I only wanted 3 but was able to afford 5! Had to wait a bit for the windows due to covid but worth the wait. Ron my installer came out was very efficient at removing the old ones and placing the new ones. He was very meticulous about the finished product with the aluminum wraps and all. I need 8 more windows, yes I have a lot and will be calling them for the rest when i can afford to do more. I had The Window Store replace 9 windows in my house recently, and I have to say, I VERY much appreciated Arlen's knowledge, patience, and detailed insight during our first visit. I knew exactly what to expect, and everything I was told has proven to be true and factual. Windows are expensive no matter where you get them...but WHAT you get for that money IS the difference, and I feel like the value here is as good as it gets, and thanks to information from Arlen I know why! The installation team, Paul and Chris, were fast, friendly, courteous, patient and timely. I know enough about the building trade to know and understand what "should" be done during installation, and these guys covered every detail. Quality work throughout the installation with a professional result. The windows themselves are well constructed, easy to clean and use. Windows are supposed to keep the outside out, and the inside in, and these windows do just that! The “hot” areas from the afternoon sun are no longer hot…I mean who knew? When the sun comes in through these windows you do not feel the heat at all! I have never had windows that I did not have to have covered to keep the heat out in the afternoon, and I expect they will do the same with the cold. I love that these windows are made right here in Minnesota, and the fact that the lifetime warranty is unmatched anywhere that I’ve ever seen in my research. I could not be more pleased or impressed! I had the kitchen refacing service done two weeks ago. Before speaking to the representative, I wasn’t aware of this option. I assumed you can either paint the cabinets and doors, or throw it all away and start over. So, after all the details were explained to me including the quality of the materials and the expertise of the installers, I agreed to get an estimate. The estimation process was easy. It took about three hours to choose the materials and have an estimate prepared. I liked the price so much I agreed that night to do the project! The install was quick and high quality. My kitchen is on the small side, and it only took four days to complete the job. I had access to my microwave, stove, and sink every night. The attention to detail on the trim work and the joints exceeded my expectations. If anyone is unhappy with your kitchen, but scared of the cost to redo it (like I was), I would highly suggest getting a refacing estimate through The Window Store.

We recently hired the Windows Store to replace some windows on our home. (I've included some before and after shots.) We solicited bids from a half-dozen companies before deciding, many (but not all of whom) sent a representative out to meet with us. Travis from the Windows Store was the most knowledgeable and the most generous with his time. He answered every question we could think of about the manufacturing and installation process. Their price was on the high end relative to the other bids we got, but it was not the highest. We also plan to stay in this house, so we were looking to invest in windows that would last a long, long time. The team at the Windows Store was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They helped us set up financing and communicated with us about delivery and installation timelines. Installation was a bit rockier. We had some trouble settling on an installation date, and the contractor that the Windows Store hired to do the installation under-estimated the amount of time it would take to complete the job. He ended up having to come back on two separate occasions to finish the job, which drug the process out by about a week. All told, though, we’re extremely pleased. The windows are everything we were promised: beautiful, easy to operate, quiet, and warm. It’s night-and-day compared to the drafty old windows that we had before. The aluminum wrapping they did on the exterior of the house has also radically changed the way our house looks. We had some minor bumps along the way, but definitely nothing unusual on a project of this scale and importance. More importantly, the Window Store more than made it right. For example, when the team accidentally damaged a window that we hadn’t planned to replace, the Window Store expedited delivery and installation of a new window, free of charge. We’ll plan to use them again on our next renovation project!

I believe it was about 6 years ago we talked with the Window Store about new doors and windows and to be cost effective, we planned to replace all doors/windows in "chunks". So the first year we replaced out big picture window, both patio doors and the front door and they look amazing! Then a a couple years later, 1/3 of the windows and then this year, the rest of them. The Window Store came to me at a time where I was looking to make improvements to spaces within my house since we are spending a lot more time here than we normally would! Both my husband and I love to cook and were feeling like our kitchen felt outdated with all of the oak cabinetry. The Window Store's cabinet refacing option made the most sense for what we were looking for. We just wanted to lighten the feel of the room--not try to remodel as we do like our current setup. Everybody who we encountered from the beginning to the end of the process was incredibly professional and did a great job. There were a couple of mistakes but The Window Store took care of them timely. I have one complaint about the communication around removing our valance. I was not given the impression that I would have to do anything after the fact in terms of utilizing a carpenter or attempting to do a DIY project. As a matter of fact, every photo from The Window Store's website that has a before and after with a valance shows a finished product. It will be interesting to see what they show people since I am an ad house, and have before and after photos that will be shown to potential clients. I attached a photo of how the space above my window was left. When I contacted the Operations Manager, Haley, she told me "it is not their responsibility." This was the only disappointing interaction I had, and it is the only reason my project did not receive 5 stars. I would recommend The Window Store, but make sure you have good communication on the front side if you have an outdated valance that you will have removed!

They call with updates on when they'll be working, answer questions as they go, and are very clean before, during, and after the job is complete. The quality of materials, whether it is the windows, door, or siding, is always top-notch. Better than you can get at the local DIY store. We love the new front door and couldn't be more happy with the installation, fit, and color! Now that the door is in, I need to get my house painting done (as you can tell by the pictures.) The siding was done to replace the wood siding that was in need of repair around our chimney, and the final result is fantastic! I highly recommend The Window Store!

Nice looking windows, very helpful staff. Glad we decided to do the project! More details: This was perhaps the third in-home window schpeel we've had from various companies door-knocking, and windows are expensive so it's not my favorite decision to make - it's hard for us to make decisions about spending money, but saleslady Kim did give us different prices and options to best fit our goals and budget. She was quickly able to tease out which product would work best for our space, worked with us efficiently and pleasantly, and definitely has an eye for color and design. She said she has Window Store windows in her house too. I was concerned about getting vinyl windows versus other types (read: Anderson windows use some kind of composite material, not vinyl) but Anderson is definitely not in my budget. She agreed that their windows are vinyl, but said not all vinyl windows are made equal and I think that made sense. She says they have replaced vinyl windows of lesser quality, and assured us that these would last. I guess there's only one way to find out, but our windows were sooooo old and drafty that it has to be better at least in the short term. We decided to replace just three of the windows in our home, ones that we use most often, to see how it goes. And now I'm glad we did! At first we had chosen three basement windows to replace but later changed our minds just after someone came to measure. I called Kim and she was flexible with our ideas, so she shifted our window selection to the upstairs which we REALLY appreciate (and the guy came back immediately to re-measure). True to their promises, the installers were awesome: they were at our house exactly when they said they would be, they were fast, and they didn't leave a mess at all. They worked around our family. I was asked to leave a google review but definitely not pressured on how nice of a review it was supposed to be :) which I appreciate. The windows match our house really well, so it doesn't look weird at all that we just did a few, which i credit to Kim's color selection. They dampen sound way better than the old ones; they fit inside the frame perfectly, they open and close like a dream and seal up nicely. We'll see how the coming years treat us but for now i'm very happy with them. One thing i wish i had realized was because the windows fit INSIDE the existing frame (they are custom sized to do this; but it saves time and money that they can install the window inside the frame and not re-frame anything!) that the new windows create an ever-so-slightly smaller opening to look out of than the previous old drafty windows, so in the small bathroom window it looks smaller. I'm used to it now, but the first day I was disappointed that it looked smaller - which was my bad, because i didn't fully realize what it would look like. I do like it now. Our bedroom window was 4 part in the old one, and now is a 3-part window so those actually look bigger and i LOVE that one. Overall I think they are nice windows and I appreciate the company's flexibility. I would work with them again. When we get a bit more money saved up I will probably replace other windows in my home with the Window Store again. Photos shown are all the new windows - bedroom and bathroom. Bedroom is sliders and bathroom is a crank out; i like the little folding handle. Screens held in with easy little tabs.

***Update 1/16/2019: I can't add the detail I'd like due to character limitations but the Window Store came and fixed the issues I addressed. I still would not recommend them because I think there are issues with the supplier of their cabinets, but Kurt and Justin were both great. I'm updating my rating from 1 to 3 stars to reflect my experience*** A door-to-door salesman knocked on our door asking if we needed new windows or kitchen cabinet refacing. He said they were looking for work in our area and were offering advertising discounts. The idea of kitchen cabinet refacing was intriguing to me since we were in the process of updating our newly purchased home. I agreed to have someone come and speak to us. We made an appointment for a Saturday. The man who came out was okay (Arlen) but literally took almost 4 hours of our day selling us on the wonders of their process and how refacing is superior to painting cabinets since it's more durable. He went through the whole spiel and sold us on the advertising discount. The price would go from $21,000 down to $13,000 if we signed the contract that day (lots of pressure to sign). He originally sold us a laminate countertop but I changed my mind and went with a quartz countertop through a subcontractor that he recommended. So glad we spent the extra money on that because it's the best part of our kitchen. To get the advertising discount we had to sign a checklist saying that we'd agree to have a Window Store sign in our front yard, write reviews on social media, let them use our before/after photos etc. We were told we would be contacted by someone named Tina to initiate these reviews and satisfy the contract. Fast forward a couple months to when they come and install. We were originally told our install would happen in December but they ended up scheduling us at the end of October. The process was quick - only 3 days which I appreciated. Justin was pleasant and very nice to work with. However, a couple things irritated me, like the fact that they didn't trim out the bottom of the cabinets. A jagged, raw edge was left below one of the cabinets which got caught on the broom and pulled away (see photo). The veneer is very flimsy. The seams are also very visible (see photo). At the time of install, I hadn't picked out the hardware yet but Justin said he could come out and do it later. It took 2 months for a different guy (Shawn?) to come back and install the hardware. In the meantime, we had to open the cabinets and drawers by grabbing the tops and the sides, which has led to the paint wearing off. Arlen told us this "professional grade" paint would be stronger but I see no evidence of this. In fact, my very short fingernails have accidentally scratched holes in the paint by accident (see photo). To their credit, they did replace one of the cabinet doors that got scratched, free of charge. I worked with Jim on this and he was very good. However, I'm deeply disappointed in how the cabinets have held up in the 11 months that we've had them. We are not hard on our things and we don't have kids or dogs. I contacted the Window Store through email and ended up connecting with a woman named Michelle. I explained my concerns and she agreed that someone should come out and look at them. She scheduled an appointment for the beginning of March. A guy named Jake came out and took pictures, but apparently they weren’t good enough. Justin came out weeks later to take new pictures. Months went by and I didn’t hear anything so I emailed Jim. He called me and said Justin’s pictures were also not clear enough and that he would need to come himself and take new pictures for the manufacturer. I called him back a few weeks later and he said he could come out the next day. This was July and he has never come out or called to follow up. At this point, I’m just over it. I've never been contacted by Tina or anyone from the Window Store about writing a review, which solidifies that this "advertising discount" they offer is a sham intended to pressure homeowners into signing a contract on the spot.

Our Window Store experience has been great! A few years ago they came by our house and we had just moved in. We were thinking of redoing our Kitchen so we had them out to look at it. They were very friendly and helpful and said that our kitchen was actually in good shape. I loved the honesty. We didn't feel any pressure to do anything that didn't need to be done. This fall my husband and I were talking about getting new windows. Luckily within weeks, the Window Store salesman was in our neighborhood. We scheduled them to take a look at our windows and the loved what they had to offer. My husband and I were very impressed with how the windows turned out and the workmenship of the guys that came out to install the windows. We purchased our 1959 house in the spring of 2018 and it came with the original Anderson single pane windows. Out of the 11 being replaced there were only 2 that were not painted shut. The exterior wood was rotting, there was condensation when the AC was running, and condensation on the interiors as it got cooler. We were in need of windows, so I called all of the companies from the TV commercials. I called the window store because a co-worker had a positive experience with The Window Store, so I included them in my quote quest. Not only was the sales person more respectful, but the price was also better. When the install crew came to complete the install they were efficient and clean, they were on time and completed in 7hrs. Then the next day another person came out to wrap the exterior. The windows look great!

Refacing of Kitchen Cabinets. I am quite impressed with the quality of product used and the workmanship of Pete the installer. Extremely happy with the results, fair price, 3 days of work, 100% satisfied. The one and only caution I have is that when you sign the contract, make sure you are aware of the terms on the back of it, I signed the contract without ever seeing the stipulations on the back. Thankfully, they were a great company to work with, very professional, and we are thrilled with the results.

We had 5 windows installed by Ron at from the Window Store and this guy is a PRO! Our home is over 100 years old and there isn't a "square" angle in any room! Ron spent almost 10 hours making sure the windows fit tightly, were insulated and then wrapped neatly and then caulked every seam. He is a true Craftsman! The Windows were exactly what we ordered and we couldn't be happier! We will need a new roof on the garage next year....we will be call The Window Store again! Great Work Guys!

We had all of our windows replaced by The Window Store and would could not have been more satisfied with the final result. Every step of the process went smoothly, from the original consultation to the final installation. The price was extremely competitive, the quality of windows was excellent and the installation was professional and well done. The most important piece for us was that The Window Store did exactly what they said they were going to do, throughout the entire project. They communicated every step, they were always on time, the installation crew was courteous and professional and the window quality was immediately apparent when the work was done. We heat our home with a wood stove, and prior to getting new windows, we would have cold spots in the house as you got further away from the stove. This almost completely disappeared with the new windows. We had expected an improvement but were completely shocked at how significant it ended up being. 100% A+ work. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

We have one door with a small chip as well as a couple of chips on the cabinets. The Window Store sent someone out to look at the chips immediately and are resolving the issue. This was a great experience from the first discussions to the final clean-up! I wasn't sure about The Window Store at first because it wasn't a big, well-known brand, but I discover it was everything I wanted in a company. The salesman came to my house and answered all my questions in a low-key manner, no hard sell, just lots of information. I needed to replace a large living room window and we were able to talk through all my options since it would have to be custom-made. Once I put the order in, I got updates about when to expect installation. The installers were fabulous. They did much of the work from the outside but never disturbed the bushes right under the window. I left for an appointment soon after they came and they were gone before I returned. What an amazing sight greeted me! They left not one trace of mess! More importantly, the window made the room look larger and so much brighter. My old window had dirt between the panes that couldn't be cleaned. This window was totally sealed and is both energy-efficient and easy to clean. I am totally satisfied with the entire experience and highly recommend the company.

Our experience with The Window Store exceeded our expectations. When I originally set up the call to get a bid on windows, I didn't really know what to expect, but was definitely not planning on making the decision that day. All of that changed at our consultation with Steve. After showing us the product and talking about all it's benefits, we were impressed. On top of that, the quote was lower than we had exepected for 8 windows, so we decided to do 11! Everything went smoothly from the measure of the windows the following week to when they stated they would arrive and be ready to install. Approx 4 weeks later, our install date arrived. Our installer called to alert us that he was held up at another project but gave me the time he would arrive so that if I needed to run any errands or go anywhere, I would know what time he arrived I thought that was extremely courteous because no one likes to sit around all day wondering when their contractor is going to show up. He arrived at the time he stated and got to work. One guy did all the windows! He was extremely friendly and was used to working on old homes (nothing is level or square and had planned on that being the case with our 100+ yr old home) . I was worried that with the current state of our windows, we would run into a lot of issues. Shockingly we didn't! He was able to install all 11 windows in one day, the second day was spent working on all the finishing (or details as he called it). He did an excellent job and they look fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and TWS exceeded all our expectations. We can already tell the difference in our front porch where we had all the windows replaced. It's staying much cooler in there now that the sun is heating things up and as an added bonus, when the windows are shut its so quiet! We love our new windows and plan to replace more next year. Excellent windows. It took quite a long time for the whole process, but it was absolutely worth it. We replaced a very drafty bathroom window that is now 100% sealed and keeps the heat in. The inner pane is never cold to the touch, which makes the rest of the windows in our house seem terrible in comparison. We also replaced 2 basement windows in preparation of framing and finishing. I swear the basement is a little warmer now too. The contractors that did the installation were polite and didn't leave a huge mess. They had to come back after a week to finish up external work, but everything is done now and looks great.

I had 2 double hung windows and 1 picture window replaced and The Window Store delivered a beautiful and functional product. They look amazing and the winter draft is gone. There were two issues that could have made this a bad experience for me, but The Window Store's customer service was very responsive and understanding and they ultimately earned 5 stars from me. There was a minor issue with the way the grids were cut in my picture window and they replaced it, free of charge, in order to meet my expectations. There was also some debris left in my yard and I provided that as feedback. They sent someone out the next day to clean up and pick up the debris. They were eager to provide great customer service. We had The Window Store do our window replacement this year. Seventeen windows in all (including an awkward half-moon custom window). I felt their prices were lower than other competitive companies I checked into and the quality of their windows was very comparable. They gave us a great deal and were very easy to work with from their visiting rep, to the office staff, and the installers. The window options we had to choose from were excellent and they were very helpful to match and measure for precision. During the installation, the crew was efficient, knowledgable and courteous. When any questions came up, they were polite and very willing to work with us. Follow up from the office as great too. When two of the windows needed to be replaced due to a confusion with the order (privacy pane), the company had new windows created and shipped directly to us in less than two weeks. There was never a time that we felt inconvenienced during installation even though the entire family was home due to work-from-home order. I strongly recommend The Window Store. Little Canada Kitchen Cabinet Refacing My wife Cindy and I were looking to have our kitchen cabinets redone for quite some time and came upon the Window Store exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair. We were impressed by the rep and the products he showed us and made an appointment for an in home evaluation and quote. Our sales guy Mike came out as scheduled and listened to what we wanted and he offered that and other suggestions to bring the kitchen up into a more modern look. The quote we thought was reasonable and we signed up knowing that due to Covid many materials would be on back order, but were assured that the installation and what we chose would happen. We were contacted in early December letting us know that our installation would start January 4th and were reminded what we needed to do to be ready. Our installers after 7 working days of tear out, prep work, installation and finishing, we have a very striking kitchen. Seth and Jim were professional taking care to keep the work and common areas as clean as possible. As an example refacing can be dusty work and care was taken to keep it at a minimum. Everything we observed showed them to be on task. They did their best to make sure we were involved and informed with their progress and any other items that would require addressing by the Window Store. Installation: Great beyond issues out of the installers control Measurement/Builder: Built one of five trim kits to the wrong size. Window was the correct size however Customer Service: Poor I appreciated the work that the installers (Great!!) and Steve did on our purchase and installation of windows. Steve helped take care of some bumps in the road that were encountered during the 8-12 week window (25 weeks total) that it took to get the remaining pieces for the windows installed. We had friends go through another company that their project was done prior to the start of their projected window. Their windows were ordered at the same time as ours for reference. I can understand the supply chain issues around this time so I don't hold the timing against them but I probably would have looked elsewhere if I had known the delay was going to be some impactful to this company and not others that are more well known. The customer service from the company itself is the only reason they are getting the three stars; I would give less but that would be unfair to the people that did a great job. The first time I got a call from The Window Store was on 12/8/2021 after reaching out to get an update since the end of October. They never were able to give a straight answer as to what the delay was as it seemed to change after each conversation. At first it was the trim not being in, then it was the half circle window on 12/6. After many self-initiated phone calls to the company the install was finally scheduled for early January however due to trim not being available it was delayed. The customer service after purchasing was probably the worst I have had with a company. It took many phone calls just to have the company understand that it was the lack of customer service during the whole process and not the delay in product that was my concern. The Windows: So far, they are amazing compared to the windows that were replaced. If you get the white trim package I don't believe they use the right caulk or filler to cover the nail holes in the white trim. Not sure if this was only for our install or not but it will cause us to repaint the trim this Spring possibly. Not a huge deal but it would have been nice to have known that before we ordered the white trim. We did get a small bottle of touchup paint from them. Matching the color shouldn't be a problem but a small issue overall. You can only see it when the angle and light are just right. Blotches of touchup paint cover the nail holes but it looks much better than the caulk that was smeared over each hole.

We wanted them to go to the ceiling, but other companies would only reface what we had and not do the extra. The Window Store was able to do this work and now our cabinets look great. I had a great experience with my new window install. I was told upfront that it might take a while between when I signed a contract for my new windows and the install, which was totally fine and understandable given the amount of home improvement projects going on in the market today. After my windows were built my install date was much earlier than anticipated, which was great! The installation went very smoothly and they look fantastic. 8 windows installed in one day is quite a feat! My old indoor trim was covered in many thick layers of paint but the installers did a good job ensuring the wood didn't get damaged in removal. Everything was very clean and tidy afterward. They did need to return to finish some outdoor wrapping a few days later, but I barely noticed them here finishing. The quality of the windows is unmatched. They are very efficient in keeping the cool air in, reduce outdoor noise substantially (living fairly near the airport - this is a very noticeable improvement), and are so easy to use and clean. I would recommend The Window Store to anyone looking for window replacement.

They finished on time and I am very happy with the end product. I would have given them 5 stars except I had some issues with the salesperson. I wanted to make some changes to the original design and I would call him and he would say he would get back to me in a few days but never called me back. This happened on more than one occasion. I did eventually get everything I wanted and was very happy with the end product. The refacing is not as cheap as having your cabinets painted, but the end product is far superior. I would recommend the company overall, and that is coming from someone who is pretty picky!

Kim, our estimator, was timely and professional. Tom, our measurer, was thorough and precise. We were especially impressed with our installers, a pair of fellows named Mike and Rob, who performed the installation with precision, care, respect and professionalism. Very well done indeed. From our sales person (Steve) to the installer (Ron), everyone is first rate and treated us very well. We decided to take a chance when The Window Store came by our neighborhood and we set up a sales meeting. We met with Sean and we talked for about 4 hours. It was a fantastic start and he really sold us. There was so much information and insight he could provide. Whether it was the case or not, by the end we felt we could make an educated decision. They had a great promotion and we were in a good position to pay the deposit. Next step was getting the Blue Print appointment. They said it was going to take a while and it did. Unfortunately, I had to contact the company first for the appointment, but they were great in providing me the contact's direct phone number. It was quick from there to set up the Blue Print appointment. Next was setting up the actual installation date and for that they said it was going to take another few weeks which it did. The company did call me. As promised, the installation took 4 days and one additional service for the cabinet handles. It was one guy who did the installation and he was a professional. Overall great experience at the beginning and afterwards, it was pretty smooth. I did financing through the company and that was easy enough. After promotions, I ended up paying just over 10k for the job. The work consisted of refacing the cabinets and installing new counter top. I am a perfectionist which means I am super picky. I will note that I found a small niche on the corner part of the countertop. I felt it before I saw it. And there was one part to the countertop backsplash that wasn't laminated; it is up against my stove so it ended up not being too big of a deal, but we thought it odd. An important question is will I got back to them for other services? My answer is yes. I will still shop around as needed, but they will definitely be in the running for future home projects. The quality of the products provided are excellent and the workmanship is equally superb. A kitchen rework is, of course, going to be disruptive. That said, The Window Store has an effective team with a good process and communications skills. They used those skill to schedule both work and materials smoothly, starting on time and completing the project in four days as promised. There were a few twists and turns by the time all was said and done. Throughout execution of the project we were able to work out any issues that arose and we found the team at The Window Store helpful making necessary adjustments and ensuring that we were satisfied customers.

They also did a great job in communicating what each step was and scheduling the measurement and installation dates. The new colors in our kitchen and new slow close cabinets and drawers are amazing! Overall it took 6 weeks from the free in-home quote to the end of the installation. We were contacted by a sales person for the Window Store Inc in October of 2021. We quickly scheduled an appointment to go over the details of having our kitchen refaced. While it was more than we wanted to spend, we knew that it would take us too long and the quality would not be where we wanted it if we were to do anything ourselves. We made our selections and were told that someone would come to get measurements soon. That person came and was in and out fairly quickly. He left a business card incase we had questions. A few weeks went by and I emailed asking if he knew any sort of eta that we were looking at. I never got a response. I received a call that someone else was going to double check the information and measurements. That person came and there seemed to be a handful of discrepancies between what we ordered and what was on file. No big deal, we got it straightened out. I asked that person what time frame we were looking at and was told Jan/Feb 2022. With the supply chain issues, we agreed that that seemed timely. At some point in December, we scheduled installation for mid-January. When the contactor came, we were confused as he was not in fact an in-house contractor as we were told at the initial meeting. He also did not work the hours that we were told. When the contract was signed, we were told that it would take about 2 days, possibly 3 and our kitchen would be usable the entire time. When we scheduled the contractor, I was told it would take the 3 full days. It took our contractor 5 days to complete. He only worked a full day on the last day. The other 4 days he came for only about 1-3 hours to get stuff done. He also brought his school age child along claiming daycare issues…which I get, but this was frustrating. The entire week our kitchen was not at all usable as everything had to be cleaned out of the kitchen. Pots/pans/dishes and food was boxed up and stuffed on the dining room side of the kitchen. Upon completion, the contractor realized we were short a single cabinet door as well as some shelves for cabinets that were special ordered for our kitchen. He went back and looked for that single door and the shelves and they were nowhere to be found. They were then ordered. He said it shouldn’t take long, maybe two weeks. I received an email shortly after from the Window Store Inc stating it would take 10-12 weeks for a single door which was made in the “most popular color”. In the meantime, I kept getting emails to leave a review and I would reply stating that it our kitchen is not in fact completed. I never got a response. At 12 weeks I called to ask for an update. I was told that they didn’t know when it was coming, just that they do not have it. Fast-forward to May 2022 and the door is finally ready. We quickly scheduled and yet ANOTHER outside contractor came with the cabinet door. He was quick and professional, but we still don’t have the shelves. At this point, we have simply given up on them. As for the refacing; it looks great (minus a few drawers that seem crooked). We like the finished product but we would not use the Window Store Inc again, nor recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience with The Window Store from start to finish. While I am not typically a fan of door-to-door marketing, the Window Store's marketing representative was very polite and unimposing, and due to my otherwise busy work schedule, it made scheduling an appointment to get a free quote on my window project (which I had been meaning to get to for a while) quick and simple. The sales representative that subsequently visited our home in April was equally polite, conscientious, and thorough with her presentation. Moreover, I greatly appreciated that the Window Store was upfront about the expected timeline for production and installation due to supply-chain difficulties caused by COVID-19. I am very pleased to report that Window Store accomplished what many do not: they under-promised and over-delivered. That is, the sales representative told us that it would be very possible that it could take as long as four months to manufacture the windows and complete installation (putting installation around August), but our windows were instead installed in June, approximately 2 months ahead of schedule! And, during the time we were waiting to hear back to schedule the installation, the Window Store reached out of its own accord to let us know that they had not forgotten about our project and would be reaching out ASAP to schedule the installation. More businesses should approach transactions this way. As for the installation and quality of the end product, both appear to be of excellent quality so far. We have already noticed improved energy efficiency and decreased draftiness, especially with the replacement of a large wooden picture window that was original to our 1940s home. From an aesthetics standpoint, I was afraid that I would miss this old wooden picture window, which had ornate wood lattice work, but I actually prefer the new vinyl window with built-in vinyl lattice work even better. Izzy and his installation team were very professional and efficient. They installed four new windows--a large picture window, a casement window, and two double hung windows--in a single day. And, when there was a minor mix-up on the color of wrapping used on two windows, Izzy and his team made time in their busy schedule to come back two business days later to correct the mistake. Finally, after the installation was complete and it came time for setting up the financing arrangement, the Windows Store promptly reached out to me (instead of me having to reach out to them and/or spend time searching online, which is difficult due to my busy schedule) to inform me of when I could expect the initial financing letter in the mail and how I could thereafter set up my account with their third-party lender. In short, we are very pleased with the process and product thus far and will definitely consider using the Window Store again for future projects.

The process for getting from sales to installation was also incredibly easy and fast. After having someone come out and double or triple measure the windows it took about 2 months to get all 14 windows ready, which was about a month shorter than I was originally told they would be ready. The installation was carried out by Charlie and his team. They were fast and efficient and got all 14 done in a day due to weather complications the first day that prevented us from getting started. I really appreciate you guys making that happen. They were also incredibly personable and answered all my questions. They kept everything clean and packed up so well that other than having new windows you might not have known they were there at all. The windows themselves are fantastic, easy slides and cranks to open/close. And the design for the crank wi does to come in a bit will be a huge help in cleaning. The one small negative that I have right now is that one of the windows didn't have the crank and that will require someone to come back out to finish up, but that is a small bump in what has been a great experience. I had a bay window and kitchen window replaced through The Window Store and have been very happy with the results. Out of the quotes I had been collecting from other companies, theirs was the first one that seemed fair. I was told by other companies that the bay window was the complicated kind that would require a full rebuild, but these craftsmen did a great job fitting the new ones into the existing structure. The window looks great and I am definitely enjoying the space it's in more than I did before. I am also very happy with the kitchen window they replaced and the custom casing they put around it. I will definitely give The Window Store a call when I'm ready to replace the rest of my old windows. 1 year later, still 5 stars. I have now had The Window Store replace the rest of my old windows. Not only did they do a great job once again, but I was also impressed with their speed and professionalism. Maybe next year I will have them put in a sliding door.

The window store did a great job. I knew I needed windows for awhile but didn't want to spend the money or energy on them. The window store basically did it all for me. I was approached one afternoon by one of their appointment setters who asked if I'd like to meet and discuss replacing my old windows. Then met with a salesman at my house one evening who was really nice. There was no high pressure sales tactics. I think he said he had worked for the company for over a decade. A week later someone else came by to take an accurate measurement, the windows were ordered and a little over a month later they were in stock and ready to be installed. I even got an email from Haley during the waiting just saying hi and reminding me that my windows were being custom made. The installation was done by Ron on a Friday morning, he couldn't have been a nicer guy and easy to work with. He spent a lot of time making sure the windows were right and the trim around them both on the interior and exterior looked great. I couldn't be more pleased with the windows and the company. They have communicated with me honestly every step of the way and have absolutely fulfilled every promise they made. I would recommend them for windows as well as any other services they provide.

Two Thumbs Up!! We had 13 window replaced. All were original from 1972 when house was built. The new windows look and work fabulous. Howie G was a great salesman who explained everything clearly and without sales pressure. Best part was he brought cutaway sample of a window to show its construction and features. None of the other companies we looked at did that. Installation was well done, cleanup good, attention to detail excellent. In fact... we had a poorly, improperly finished window downstairs which made the new install / finishing problematic. But the installer actually went out on his own to find / buy a piece of trim not intended for a window, but could be used in this situation to trim out the inside of the window. It looks great after he finished; better than the original. When we looked at and compared the price and product we got from the window store we found that we got a Premium product for the same or lower cost than the other companies / offerings we looked at. The other windows quoted were either entry grade or mid grade windows. I appreciate the fact that the Window Store only offers one grade / price of window. They build and sell the Best / Premium product period, no lower cheaper options. The Window Store and Howie G was recommended to me by my son and his in-laws; both purchased windows and were very happy. You can add myself to that list.

My Wife and I moved into our new home just over a year ago. We always knew that new windows would be something we would have to tackle eventually but we never thought we would start the process so soon. The Window Store made this a possibility. Not only was the price right for us, the whole process was easy and stress free from start to finish. Aaron J was our salesman and he went out of his way to make sure we were not only well informed about the product we would be purchasing but was comfortable with the company as a whole. He was respectful of our time and of our needs. When we had questions, we were comfortable reaching out to him and always received a response within the same business day. A+ experience with Aaron! On the day of installation, we had two installers who showed up right on time which we always appreciate. They too went out of their way to ensure we were happy with the finished product (including making trips to the local hardware store to ensure the framing around the window was to our liking). They kept us informed throughout the day ensuring that each decision that needed to be made was "okayed" by us. Two of the windows did show up, out of the box, with small cracks in them. I do not believe this to be a reflection on the Window Store and could not have been happier with the way it was handled. By the end of the day, the order for replacement sashes was placed and we look forward to getting those in a few short weeks. We look forward to continuing to do business with the Window Store to finish off the rest of the windows in the house.

I absolutely love my windows that Window Store installed this past week. Every step of this process was really seamless and professional. The sales representative, Howie, was patient and knowledgeable about the quality of the windows, both mine (or the lack of) and The Window Store products. He was able to convey the quality and importance of having well-functioning windows, especially in Minnesota, in a professional and respectful manner. Haley, the scheduler, was polite and able to schedule installation during a time period that was convenient for my work schedule, Ron, the installer, did a beautiful job with these windows. Ron's experience was very evident in his installation as well as the finished product. Ron also fixed a couple of non-window related items he happened to see, such as fashioning a doggie door cover when he saw our garage needed the cover. He went over and above what he had to do during the course of this project. Finally, the windows, themselves, are beautiful! The best part is that, although new windows are an expensive renovation, The Window Store provided top quality for a cost that would have likely been 50% or more higher with some of the other "big name" window companies. I am hoping to replace my other windows through the Window Store in the near future.

The whole experience from beginning to end was very smooth. After setting up an appointment with a door knocker we met Sean. They had our windows custom built and set an install date earlier than we were expecting. Install took only a couple of hours, and then 2 days later a different man was out to finish wrapping the exterior of the windows. What an improvement! We noticed immediately how much quieter the house is. The windows are very nicely made, and look beautiful. Looking forward to seeing a difference in the winter and summer months. We recently had another window installed by The Window Store. They did a great job again going above and beyond our expectations. My particular window was not difficult but it has special white trim on three sides that varies from 8 to 6 inches wide. Purely decorative on the front of the house. I purchased some vinyl trim pieces to replace the original wood. Fully expecting to perform this work myself I learned the installers were tasked with installing aluminum fascia over this old wood trim. They agreed that since I had purchased the material they would be happy to install it correctly. And I'm glad they did! Unknown to me until the old wood was removed there was no vapor barrier under it. They installed the vapor barrier, trim and caulked all the seems. The new window and trim look absolutely splendid. Great job guys! We'll have another project for The Window Store next year, assuming the budget holds up.

And we had a double layer of shingles to remove! The crew did a excellent job cleaning up the yard and driveway. We ordered our windows in November and throughout the process we were provided status updates along the way. Once the windows were ready we were able to get a quick installation date. From start to finish it was such a great experience! Our St. Bernard shattered one of our windows back in late July and on that same night a rep from The Window Store was going around the neighborhood dropping off information at all the homes in case anyone needed new windows. Freaky coincidence right? I set up a consult with him for that following weekend. When Howie came for the consult I knew we were dealing with someone who had A) been with the company for a long time, and B) was very knowledgeable and passionate about the product and quality of workmanship that would be put into our installation. I ordered 3 new windows through The Window Store in November, they took quite some time to get made, but the wait was worth it. Our installer, Ron, came out on a 0 degree February day and quickly replaced all 3 windows. I can already tell the temperature difference in those rooms now that the old drafty windows are gone. After seeing lawn signs in our neighborhood for the Window Store —where they were working on old homes like ours— we decided to look into their products. We liked that this was a local company building a product that was designed specifically for this region and climate and employing local labor. The installation was very efficient and clean looking. I had restored the trim around one window years ago and they took steps to preserve and reuse that work. We had one problem window with a rotting sill area that they repaired professionally. The aluminum cladding they used around the exterior looks great and should hold up to weather. Time will tell on the overall quality of construction but right now I’m very happy with the price and product. We elected to do this in stages with the upstairs done first. We should be happy to proceed with first floor window replacement in the spring.

Any company that values money over customer service be mindful of them. These guys did a good job on our windows but when it comes to their payment business they don't play. They will harass you to the point you wish you went with another company. They have very poor customer service and bad receptionist. They also did a half complete job on two of our windows and had to call them to finish the job. Just be mindful of them.

Installation was better than perfect, as the installer noticed a material mistake by the warehouse and rectified that error before beginning install. Overall, very good. The door-to-door salesperson didn't wear a mask and probably should have but the in-home salesperson did when asked to, and all of the installers did without being asked. The payment method is slightly outdated (checks, primarily, though they take credit card over the phone too) but the installation and the experience overall was very good. The price seemed to be good (I'm sure bigger brands would have cost more) but it's hard to compare the windows themselves since I don't know all the features of those competitor's windows. These windows are very nice so far; no issues. They seem high quality. The installers were very very clean too, and extremely friendly and easy to work with.

The work team was scheduled to be at my home on a certain day. They arrived at 8:30 and finished the work by 3:30. To my surprise, they replaced both of my chimneys and installed a new seal for a plumbing breath tube. They also installed new valley tin as well all of these items were color coded to match the shingles. I did not read this in the contract I signed. Very cool. Looks great! I cannot compliment the work and the workmen more highly. Very efficient and obviously they are pros. Highly recommended.

They are so easy to operate and take care of – I’ve just lost my excuse for not washing our windows! We would definitely recommend The Window Store – for the quality of their product AND of their personnel, and for the value they place in customer satisfaction. We found the sales rep, Kim Fuhrmann, to be very personable and knowledgeable--it was truly a pleasure to work with her. She gave a clear explanation of the windows and the various options and answered our questions thoroughly. Normally my husband and I would take more time to think things through and also do some comparison shopping before making a big decision like this, but we felt very comfortable going ahead with the window purchase at the end of Kim’s presentation. We appreciate that we didn’t feel at all pressured. We chose to get window inserts--keeping our original window frames but getting rid of our old windows and storm windows (which we don’t need anymore with the new double paned windows). The installers Paul and Chris were pleasant and professional. They installed our window inserts much quicker than we had expected and did a great job, including covering our not-so-great-anymore exterior wooden window frames with aluminum cladding. Paul didn’t mind our curiosity to see how things were done and was glad to answer any questions. The other folks from The Window Store that we had contact with were also pleasant and helpful: Tom who measured for the windows; Haley and Courtney who took our calls at the office, handled our order, and kept us updated; and Scott who did some follow-up replacement (see below). Our experience is that The Window Store truly values customer satisfaction with their lifetime warranty, resolving any issues as soon as possible. Paul (the installer) took note of slight imperfections on two of the window panes and two of the screens that had just been installed, which he reported to the office. These were replaced with no hassle or added expense on our part. We definitely recommend The Window Store and are glad we went with them!

We are very pleased with our experience with the Windows Store. We were interested in cabinet refacing in our kitchen. John, the sales/design consultant, was very knowledgeable and easy to work with showing us various options we might be interested in. And he was agreeable to negotiating a cost that was satisfactory to both he and I. Justin, the architect who came in to obtain measurements, was friendly and efficient. Last but not least Jim, the installer, was awesome. Each day, he was extremely punctual, covered everything to prevent damage and set up a plastic partition to isolate dust to the work area. Prior to leaving each day, he removed everything he had set up and did a thorough clean up giving us access to the full kitchen. During the project work, Jim explained what would happen each day, brought us in when there were decisions that we needed to make, and gave a good overview of everything when he finished the project. We are more than happy with the end result. Kitchen is so much brighter with the new facing. The only negative that I can provide is that the Thur afternoon prior to our expected Monday install, we got a call indicating that their sub-contractor had failed to deliver the materials needed for our reface so our install date would need to be pushed out one week. It was explained this was due to supply-chain issues, I assume related to covid. This would not have been a big deal had I not already moved 1/2 of our kitchen out to the garage prior to the Thur call. We just ended up rummaging through boxes to find kitchen items that we needed during the week. Until the supply-chain problems are resolved, I would suggest the Windows Store specifically mention/discuss potential delivery delays with future customers to prevent premature emptying of kitchen items. I would have no problem recommending the Windows Store to family/friends who may be interested in a cabinet reface.

Steve came to our house and I told him what we are looking for and didn't waste anytime to get me the quote and we were on our way- no prolonged sales pitch. The installers let us know the exact time they were showing up, and we are very satisfied with quality of workmanship. Our house remained in tact- no paint scratches, broken trim, muddy carpet, squished landscaping etc. Unfortunately, the patio door had a defect and the installers let us know right away. They apologized for the door, and ordered a replacement patio door to be installed. We are very satisfied with installation, overall. The windows and trim, both inside and out, fit and function perfectly. We can already tell the difference in our home. Charlie and his installation crew were friendly and very tolerant of our dogs, who barked every time they came in. They wore face coverings inside our home, and covered the floor and carpet to prevent damage. We had some wood that needed replacing due to water damage, and they fixed that, too. They were able to install all of the windows in a day and a half, and did a good job cleaning the yard up after the job was done. Everyone we dealt with was very pleasant and easy to work with. My wife and I had an excellent experience with the Window Store. I am usually wary of companies that go door to door, but decided to give it a shot and see what happened. The original meeting was done at our house and we were able to schedule it at a time that worked conveniently for both my wife and I to be present. The presentation was very thorough and very well put together, and the explanation and demonstration of the of the windows highlighting some of their features and benefits was very convincing. We decided to start off with replacing the four windows in our kitchen. About two weeks after the initial meeting someone came out to take final measurements of the windows. I think it took him less than 10 minutes to get in and out! Just over a month later the windows were in and we had the crew come out and install the windows. The installation went very quickly, the guys were clean and professional and even re-mounted the blinds on the window even better than they had been mounted beforehand. A few days later another person came back to finish the exterior metal wrapping of the windows and the sealing. Overall the experience was very good, and I would definitely recommend the Window Store. The communication was clear throughout the entire process, and we even had the windows installed and completed faster than we expected. We have been slowly replacing the windows in our 1948 home over the past 10 years. The Window Store replaced the final 7 windows in our home. I usually make it a point not to do business with solicitors but the oldest windows were in dire need of replacement and their sales team was courteous and professional. We love the new windows and the quality of the final installation. The new windows look great and as winter sets in we already notice how much more comfortable those rooms have become. Sure, we had put window insulating film on the old windows but it never looked good and by the end of the season it either had holes poked in it from the kids or was ripped away from the edges. I am so glad to be done with that routine. The new windows also needed flashing installed around the frames. I was concerned about how that would turn out compared to other windows we had replaced. They matched the existing flashing on the other windows perfectly and the quality of the work was excellent. We were very impressed with how it turned out. Looking at the finished product it is obvious they knew what they were doing. We have dealt with four different window suppliers over the years so we knew what to expect for cost and installation. It is worthwhile comparing our other experiences with the Window Store. Window Store experience: -excellent and professional installation -windows arrived on schedule and were installed within the timeframe communicated to us -order was accurate Other suppliers/installers: -poor installation, visible gap between sashes, windows did not meet code and eventually were replaced -missing caulking required return trips to fix -installation team was unprofessional and was eventually fired by the rep. One member had admittedly never installed windows before. -sales rep had a difficult time accurately placing the order for new windows in an addition -one window was missed in a replacement window order You can always expect to run into issues in any home improvement project but this project was completed without any major issues. I would gladly recommend the Window Store to anyone.

We just had our kitchen cabinets refaced and granite countertops installed, and a couple pantry’s added. Overall the work done looks really good. There are a couple things that bothered me. The first was communication, apparently the layout provided to the installer showed a cabinet going over my fridge (which was never discussed). This led to several holes being drilled into a wall I had just spent a ton of time mudding and painting. That cabinet that was put above my fridge was actually supposed to go above the stove. The second thing is that a couple of the shelves in the pantry aren’t level and wobble a bit from the pre drilled holes not being quite right. That being said, I do love the look of my kitchen now.

We just had our windows on our main floor windows replaced with the Window Store Windows-eight total, 3 of which have 3 panes each, 2 of which were the narrow "picture windows" (no screen) on either side of the deck doors...so MANY different types...they came in the morning and were gone by work-day end (before that I believe)!! Super smooth and absolutely beautiful! Will send pictures when it's light outside!! Our biggest worry that kept us from doing them previously was the cost and when we heard the total for all those windows, it was at least $5,000 less than we expected. We plan on having the other windows done as well now! The salesperson was so helpful and well spoken and the fact that they are made not just in the US, but in Minnesota, sealed the deal! I gave it a four only because when they installed them, they took all the windows out at first and then didn't cover them with anything which worried me about our cats, and then became problematic with the flies that got in. Otherwise it would be a 5 star review!!

The installation went way faster than expected, about 45 minutes per window start to finish. We have had the windows now for almost a month with no issues. Over the last 2 years the Window Store has replaced 16 of the original windows in our 107 yr old home. We chose double hung vinyl inserts so that we could keep the classic charm of beautiful woodwork that frames the windows. Updating my review one year in: my wife and I love the windows we purchased. The product and install deserve 5 stars, but I am leaving my overall experience at 4 stars because I still have an intense dislike of the high pressure sales tactics used - and one year later I would still rate the interpersonal experience with the company and salespeople at 1-2 stars. As for the windows themselves, we noticed a significant noise decrease immediately. Over the course of the winter I was able to see the positive impact in my heating bills and more consistent temperatures throughout my home. The difference has been amazing, and window quality appears to be as billed. Original review below: I'm writing to provide a testimonial of my experience with The Window Store. Our overall experience with the product and install was very positive, and I am only giving this a 4 star review because I wasn't super comfortable with the initial sales tactics. Full review below for those who would like to read it. We initially were introduced to The Window Store by an employee of theirs wandering into our yard and asking if we were thinking about replacing windows, which was actually good timing since I was in the process of soliciting bids from multiple other providers. When we met with the salesperson to discuss the possibility of installing vinyl inserts we were immediately impressed with the windows' functionality and efficiency. Weirdly, the start of our appointment, we were told that we had odd-sized windows and would have a hard time finding inserts to fit at some of the bigger box home improvement shops (which we had been pricing for comparison purposes). However, that was not the case - our windows were all of a standard size. Once the discussion got to pricing, we then felt pressured to sign *immediately* to get their "special advertising discount" (we received a discount for agreeing to various advertising methods). I don't like to make decisions quickly, and I wasn't fully comfortable with the decision initially. I expressed those concerns firmly and made it known that while I loved the windows, and thought the price was fair, I don't make financial decisions that large without thinking them over and discussing them with my wife. The salesperson gave us some additional time to discuss - with the understanding that we could potentially miss the discount. We didn't need to replace any of our windows immediately, so that was a chance I was willing to take. With the extra time to think it over, we decided to take the plunge and are glad we did. Once the windows had been ordered, everything moved much more quickly than we had expected (and more quickly than we had initially been told was possible). The final install date was almost three weeks ahead of what we had initially been told (though I did have to call multiple times to get it scheduled, and never had a call returned), but an install so much sooner than expected almost never happens! Our install crew was very friendly, quick, and professional - they were able to replace all 8 windows over the course of a few hours. The windows look fantastic and they function great. We've already noticed a significant decrease in road and plane noise, and I'm looking forward to the increased efficiency this winter! We absolutely love our new windows, and every time we use them - or even just walk by - we are so pleased with how they turned out. Absolutely would recommend using The Window Store for vinyl replacements like ours, just be wary of the high pressure sales tactics and don't fall for "limited time offer" gimmicks.

I had windows installed on June 6th. The crew arrived at the time they said they would and immediately started to work. I was told the job would take 2 days but they finished up in one. They were one of the hardest working crew I ever dealt with. Courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. They were careful of my plants and in the house. We did run into a problem with the front window which was taken care of after 2 months because they had to order new sashes, their heavy workload and had to make a cosmetic change on the front window. Because of this I think they really need another crew to help with their workload. The crew takes pride in their work and at all times from salesman to office manager everyone was very polite. I would recommend if your looking for home improvements you give The Window Store a call.

For years I've been afraid to find out what it would cost to replace the 32 windows in my house that are 27 years old. The Window Store was in the area so I took the leap to schedule an appointment to address the 2 windows that had to be replaced this year. The sales rep came out and without being pushy provided me complete information about replacement windows. Like the insurance company commercial - I broke into my happy dance when he told me that they could replace both of the windows in one opening with a larger single window for the same price. That meant I only had 19 windows to replace. I scheduled the replacement of 14 windows down to 7 new ones. The quality of the new windows is amazing! The view, soundproofing, clarity of glass is great. The window frames are very solid, not like I imagined vinyl replacement windows would be. I had a little harder installation because I didn't have window trim on my old windows. They worked that through and my new windows make my house look better because they have trim on them. Every aspect of my interaction with The Window Store has been enjoyable. They will be back next year for another 14/7 windows and then the following year to finish up the rest of my windows. All at a price that is far less than I was afraid it would be. I have recommended them to all of my family members and friends as a really great deal. I love my new windows.

I usually opt to do my own remodeling work because it's hard to find a contractor with good pricing and quality work. I have had two very good experiences with The Window Store that have both been competitively priced and high quality. Starting last year I had my kitchen cabinets redone. (Yes, ironically, the *window* store has a great system for resurfacing cabinets.) I had a complicated kitchen layout that needed a lot of change and they worked with me to make a plan that fit my requirements and my budget. The finished product involved a combination of old and new cabinets that now all look the same. They were also very flexible to stage the work so that the cabinet trim was done later, after I installed a new floor. This year I had most of my windows and a patio door replaced. The new windows look very nice and are easy to open/close. Same goes for the patio door. The exterior wrap also looks great. It perfectly matches the other trim on the house. Perhaps the most impressive part of this job is the fact that it took just under 2 months from quote to job completion. Very fast for custom sized windows!

We had our windows replaced by The Window Store this past spring. I'm very pleased with the results. The crew that did the instillation were lovely, and the windows themselves are fantastic, especially considering half of our old windows didn't work. The Window Store's quote was considerably less expensive, as they insert their windows into existing framework, instead of rebuilding the frame. This made sense for us given that our frames seemed to be in good shape, and the installation crew confirmed we had no evidence of wood rot. They also added insulation around the new windows. I'm curious to see how they fair over the winter - we SHOULD notice a considerable decrease in draftiness. It is worth commenting, however, that this company uses AGGRESSIVE SALES TACTICS that puts immediate pressure on perspective customers to commit to a project in order to get their "best price" so I would recommend scheduling them as your last quote if you really want to do comparison shopping. The salesman was nice enough; I believe he was just following the company's sales playbook. If I understand correctly, part of the pitch for why they "discount" if you say yes right away is because it is costly to send the salesman back to the consumer's home to sign the contract, time is money etc... which is completely bogus! Anything can be signed ONLINE folks. Tell your leadership team about DocuSign, and maybe hire more Women to consult on sales tactics...

Since buying our house two years ago, we knew we would eventually need to replace a small 3-window bay in our kitchen. Those windows were original to the house (1983) and had lost their seal. They were noticeably cold in winter and frequently iced completely over because of the moisture produced cooking and doing dishes. Furthermore, the previous owners were obsessively private and had added some sort of one-way mirroring coating. This reduced the amount of light coming through the windows, especially in the areas where the coating was chemically deteriorating. Despite these problems, several other house projects took priority and we weren’t necessarily looking to get new windows this year. We had received a quote from Anderson Windows last year and knew it wasn’t in the budget. A door-to-door marketing person from The Window Store recognized the poor state of our kitchen windows and asked if we’d be interested in a special offer. I knew it couldn’t hurt to at least hear the quote. Advertising manager Steve Garren came to our house, evaluated our windows, and explained a special marketing offer. (An honest, public review/testimonial was one of the requirements, as was having a Window Store sign in our yard for 60 days.) Steve was a good salesman, if not even a bit too aggressive for our tastes. The windows appeared to be good quality. Previous customers seemed to be pretty happy with The Window Store, both in the testimonials Steve provided and the online reviews we read. The price was a lot better than Anderson, but that was to be expected. These are window inserts, not new frames and sills like Anderson. As I said, we had not budgeted for new windows, so we were reluctant despite the good offer. But we were approved for 0% financing for 18 months and that made it a more reasonable proposition from the standpoint of our home finances. Installation went smoothly—no complaints from the two-man installation team even though it was raining outside. They were careful in our kitchen and cleaned up after themselves. We noticed the smell of adhesives for a few weeks after installation, which bothered my wife some, but the smell wasn’t overwhelming or permanent. The new windows are much clearer than our old ones and let in more light. The caulking on the outside doesn’t look the best, but no one will get close enough to notice it and we’d rather have more caulk than less. The city inspector confirmed that they are indeed quality windows and that installation looked good. Four stars for now as we plan to reserve our final judgment until after the windows have been through their first winter. But so far we're happy with them.

The Window Store replaced 2 windows that may have been original to my 80 year old house. I bought the house 4 years ago and had never been able to open the windows. They came complete with ancient giant wood framed storm windows which were impractical to remove, so I never did. The sales rep who I had requested (due to a recommendation from a friend) was Arlen Engelson, and he was wonderful. He listened to what I needed very carefully, and understood what I wanted without trying to sell me on something else. The 2-man crew who came to do the work knew exactly what to do. I really loved the fact that they removed all of the hardware - brackets and more brackets - some of which I couldn't figure out how to remove - and carefully replaced all of it once they were done with the installation. They cleaned up thoroughly, and they helped demonstrate how to use the windows. This company is great. I had a quote from Anderson Renewal company a week before Arlen came to give me his presentation, and they would have charged me 50% more without giving me the double hung windows that I really wanted. I would recommend this company to anyone without reservations.

We were skeptical about refacing our kitchen cabinets but got sucked into the Windows Store booth at the MPLS Home & Garden show. They came out quickly, within a week to give us an on-site consultant. They ended up refacing our existing kitchen cabinets and added new cabinets on a bare wall to provide more storage and to "frame-in" the Fridge so it looks more like it belongs. The design consultant was fantastic and he came well prepared. We had a very unique layout and he was pretty excited about how well everything would turn out and offered suggestions on what he felt would look good. The installation was pretty quick for our small kitchen, 3-days in total, and the team was thorough and brought us it in when a decision was needed. Overall, the experience was positive and we are more than happy with how everything turned out. Even our Granite & Tile Contractor made comments about how well everything turned out. I would recommend the Reface Experts and honestly, I think I would look at refacing before going all new.

I just had all of the windows in my house replaced, including an oversize patio door and having a new bay window put in to replace a regular window. The whole process went really well. The person who came to the house to talk to us first was very knowledgeable and worked with us to make sure the order was what we wanted. We were kept in the loop about time lines and how long things would take. When the windows were installed, we were told that they would allocate three days for that. The windows (including my new bay window) were installed, insulated and finished in that time. There were a couple of minor things that needed to be taken care of but after 1 phone call both things were completed quickly and without any hassle. I'm so thrilled with my new windows and am looking forward to showing them off. Thanks!!

Great deal on solid product. We got a deal on our windows that requires an honest review of the finished product. Windows are ridiculously expensive in MN, but these windows are really quite nice. The custom built features have definitely made a difference in the heat retention of the space where we had the replacements in. There was a minor manufacturing/paint flaw on one window, but otherwise they look great. The workmen were polite and efficient and did a great job cleaning up when they were done. I really have no major complaints or concerns.

The sales rep sold us on the windows as well as a new patio door as they were competitively priced and seemed to meet what we were looking for. The day of the installation went smooth and Paul the installer did an excellent job. The new windows look great and the we can really notice the different in the amount of noise pollution we are getting now. Not only did we have the windows done on our main floor but we also had storm damage right before they were going to be installed. I came across The Window Store when a very nice man came to my door to talk with me about Windows. I explained to him we weren’t looking to replace windows for 6 months to a year. He said that’s not a problem at all and set us up with an appointment with a consultant. The sales representative came out to our house. I did not care for his pushy sales style. We wanted information going into this appointment. He was making comments of how he wouldn’t have driven all the way across town if he’d known we weren’t serious about buying that night. Honestly their warranty and quality and price is what sold us. We had looked at 3 other competitors and ultimately ordered 3 windows that night. The man who came out to measure the windows was great. Kind and professional and knowledgeable. The instillation was quick and again the installers were great and friendly. We love our new windows. I would recommend them based on the installation and quality. I really think they should revisit their sales training. I was not happy with this salesman one bit. I would have said no if I hadn’t shopped around.

Alan Wagner gave me a very good first impression. Kim Fuhrmann helped make both the decision and the process easy. Six custom windows were built in 25 days and installed in 3 hours. The installers didn't clean the windows before they left, but the sticky residue left behind was easily removed with window cleaner. The price was very good, the product quality is great and they stand behind their product with their warranty. It was well worth it and we will definitely be ordering more in the future. They even took care of the city permit.
