Top Star Egress is great. We recently had an egress window installed along with 6 other basement windows and the quality is excellent. The work was done in a timely manner and communication was good. Would 100% recommend their services.

Let me just start by saying overall the I am happy for installation of my new 2 egress windows, they look great and provide a amazing amount of light to our basement. With the said it was not all sunshine and fairytales. From start to finish I think it was +4 months, which was 100% too long of a time period for this work. It was not supply shortage related. It was a two-fold issue, one was Edgar and his first Engineer that flaked out of him. After that was cleared up it was the Denver Planning department completely dropped the ball and left our permit in the queue while they were out for at least 3 weeks. Edgar's crew seemed to be nice guys, while it took 3 days to dig, cut and install 2 egress widows. They placed all the dirt on tarps and a trailer and left the side clean at the end. Sadly, the inside they did not remember to put up and plastic or tarps, so while unfinished, our basement had a coating of dust on everything. Edgar was apologetic as he was out of town, but that does not clean up the mess. I will also have to say the communication was not great, and he could really work much harder on keeping me in the loop on developments and changes like not starting on the day anticipated. But again, the end result is what I wanted, and the price was much more reasonable verses the 3 other companies I reached out to.

With the work now done, all I can say is that we’re really happy with how the windows turned out. Once they did get started work was completed in two days with precise finishing and a perfect cost. They came back and cleaned up the property and it looks better than it did before.

I had a 48x48 egress window installed to start my basement finishing project. I feel so lucky that I found Edgar! This crew is extremely efficient and professional. Others warned me that this would be a messy job and my house would be covered in dust...not for me! My house was totally livable during the whole 3 day process and the crew cleaned up everything for us. During the clean up day (day 3), it started hailing and pouring rain. I invited the crew inside but they just kept working! I couldn't believe how hard working these guys are. Additionally, I highly recommend upgrading to the larger window size. It brings in so much extra light and will be instrumental in making a basement bedroom feel more comfortable.

I can't recommend Edgar and the Top Star crew enough. I was worried about the hassle and mess of doing egress windows in an occupied unit. If I knew how easy and painless Edgar would make this, I would have done the work years ago. Once we obtained a permit (which Edgar handled), they had the work completed and the permit signed off on and finalized within two days. I met Edgar via a different contractor I was doing business with for the renovation of my 1958 Ranch home in the Holly Hills area in Denver. The attention to detail and his listening skills is what made my project successful. If he was going to be even 5 minutes late he called, before he left he let me know he was leaving and when he would be back and what items of the job was still outstanding... I never wondered when doing business with him. He installed an egress window then installed all new window wells for the remaining basement windows... he even finished other window installation when the original contractor stopped showing up. Edgar and his team did a great job on the egress window. Better quality AND a lower price than Colorado Window Source that I had used for the other window. Edgar's team did cut through a sprinkler line while they were doing their work and didn't mention it whatsoever until I noticed it and asked that they repair the line (almost gave four stars for this - they should have reached out to me first). They repaired the line at my request. Unfortunately their patch burst when the sprinklers were turned on. My sprinkler company did the repair and Edgar and his team paid the bill. Very much appreciate him taking responsibility and resolving the problem. Impressive professionalism.

When we needed to put in egress windows we shopped around for the best possible price. They were the most affordable. We were sooo happy with their work. They were careful with the all the details and did a fabulous job!!!! They were cautious to put up partitions in the house to minimize the dust and dirt and cleaned up completely when finished. They worked diligently from morning to night for 3 days and completed 2 windows. They worked around our tight space to make it work in the exact location we wanted the window. Edgar and his team did an amazing job on my egress window. I would have liked to hire him for a second one but he caught that there was a gas line running right through where the cut out would be. I really appreciate how thorough he was in investigating the gas line and helped me avoid unexpected cost by finding the exact location before real work started. They worked during a really big snowstorm so the outside turned into a muddy mess, but they were diligent about cleaning it all up and leaving it in good shape. I've already recommended him to friends and will use him again when I'm ready to do my next window. *** 7/31/20 Update to reiterate how happy I am with Edgar and his crew. Over 6 months after install, my new egress window started to stick. Edgar and his installers came out and fixed it without any hesitation. It's one thing to nail the install (which he did), but it says a lot when he still stands behind his work long after he's been paid. Thanks again Edgar!

Edgar and his entire crew really went above and beyond my expectations!!! I hired Top Star Egress after my handyman had started to cut into my foundation but badly botched the job! My entire house was full of dust, zero prep and to much drywall was cut off that had to be repaired! Plus my exterior sidewalk concrete was over-cut and that had to be filled in also. After all that trauma I was a basket case, so I decided to learn everything that I could about egress windows and had interviewed about seven companies before I finally found Top Star Egress. They checked all the boxes for me, they were insured, they had great references, they offered quality service at a value price. The best part was Edgar’s patience and professionalism, he really reassured me by clearly communicating every step of the process. What I learned through this harrowing experience is that putting in an egress window is a big deal and needs to be done by professionals, that do it every single day! I would say if you’re just thinking about getting an egress window or in the middle of your project and you need help, give Edgar a call. I called Edgar because I needed not one but two egress windows cut into my basement. Edgar and his guy came in and did a great job. He communicated well and promptly; if something came up he kept me informed. What I was especially grateful for was his expertise and input for the job. His extra time and work made my job easier. Any questions I had, he answered. On the day of the project, they were met with obstacles from snowy weather to job site challenges; however they worked through it and finished quickly. We received three quotes. Not only was Top Star the most competitively priced, but they also included better features and quality. For example, Top Star actually cut into the concrete foundation walls to install a steel beam/header above the window. I opted to finish the interior myself, but they left clean lines and cleaned up their mess.
