12/21 update window addressed and resolved all of my concerns addresses earlier. Excellent customer service resolving all issues and concerns. *12/2022**. Missing screws on back of home per my last week review or Man home. The eve of Home has 2 holesiding. Also no screws to connect new roof to soffit after pics sent to window world showing issues. Be aware once you tell a company of same issues but STILL not corrected i doubt the overall project management of this company. It should not take over 2 weeks to correct the ifinsl sues ONE STAR RATING. HAVE HAD TO TRAVEL FROM NEW ORLEANS 3 times to review window world claims of repairs only to find Repairs are not Complete. Please let know if your installer can fix ASAP. I’ll be happy to have one of your competitors complete the installation without having to wait 6 months for the installation. “Update after original post on 12/11/22*. Window World did an excellent job of responding to the issues noted below. One of their Project Managers is coming onsite on 12/13 to ensure all concerns are resolved. Thank you for promptly addressing my concerns. Updating my review from a one star to a 3 star. Plan to update to a 5 star once all the installation and issues are resolved. Original post on 12/11/22: Window world does an excellent job of installing windows. However, I do not recommend for siding installation. One of their contractors almost died in our yard after the installer let him “sleep off” what they thought was a hangover. Very disappointing to see someone almost pass in my front yard during the siding installation. Three local country EMS teams had to respond. Be aware if you consider using Window World for siding installation. Also, be sure to inspect their work closely as you can tell from the photos of the sub par work. Also, anticipate work will begin 7 months after you make the initial 50% deposit. Very disappointed with their service, lack of response to their contractors near death experience (when your contractor is passed out in the installation truck with abnormal breathing) phone EMS immediately. I hope your company begins drug testing your contractors. Had we not heard your contractors erratic breathing when walking by the contractor propped up in their work truck he would no doubt not be alive today.

I am so pleased with the service provided by Window World. I read several bad reviews and my main concern was the quality of contractor that would be doing the installation. The contractor's name that installed my windows is Tellus (sorry if I misspelled) and he was absolutely amazing. He is professional and truly took pride in his work. My house is very old (1932) and it took a lot of extra work to create the wrapping around the windows and it looks great. I am so happy that I chose Window World out of all the other companies that gave me quotes. I would highly recommend Window World and would recommend that you request Tellus to be the contractor to install your windows. If he took this much care when installing the windows on my old house, I'm sure he will do the same for your house. For 100% transparency, there was one window that was cracked, but Tellus taped it up, put in a work order to have the sash replaced and explained the process to me before I ever noticed it. Also, originally they quoted me 8 - 10 weeks for installation but I think it only took about 6 - 7 weeks, so they were ahead of schedule. They also installed 16 windows in one day and Tellus had a great crew and made sure everything was done correctly. I'm so happy with how everything turned out. I also spoke to Aaron the project manager and he explained that the new management has been working hard to fix past problems that lead to some poor reviews in the past. The sales rep, Davis that originally came to my house was also very professional and did a good job with the measurements. I waited about 2 weeks to post this review just in case I noticed anything concerning. The main thing I'm noticing now is that my HVAC doesn't run as much and my house feels more insulated! Thank you to the entire crew at Window World!

Everyone is very friendly and professional from the moment you make that call. They follow up on appointment times and call the day of to let you know the exact time they will be at your home. I made a big investment in my house by replacing all windows through Window World more than a decade ago. It’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Initially, I noticed how much quieter and more comfortable it was with the double-paned windows and I loved being able to open windows easily when the weather was nice. In the long term, Window World’s warranty has been one of the best things. Screen come loose? Just bring it to the WW store and they’ll fix it. Pane having condensation issues? Call and they come out and replace it. All at no cost and in a friendly and professional way. If I need windows again, I’m going with Window World every time

When I first had my windows installed I was actually very impressed with the windows, they turned out quite well. However, there was a miscommunication between the head office and the contractor as the exterior part of the window frame was not fixed. I’ve been told that window world is under new management and they have gone above and beyond to ensure that the job was completed as it was supposed to be originally. Aaron has been great to deal with. Nicholas and his crew did great. I’m glad to see this company make moves to better themselves

I was very pleased with my installation from Window World of Birmingham. The windows are gorgeous, the installers were very kind and courteous and prompt as well. My storm door didn’t fit, but the installer showed me why, and explained the process of getting a replacement ordered. The rep from Window World called me that evening and will be here in less than a week, and they have been in contact with me once again, to confirm our next appt and what will happen. I am so glad I went with them and I also saved about $4000 by using them over the competitors. You won’t be disappointed if you choose Window World!

They arrived early and installation was fairly quick. I had 18 windows replaced in just under 4 hours. I am missing 1 screen from the order but they put in an order for that before they left. They cleaned up most of the mess but I continue to find bits of the metal/vinyl they used to cover the old trim. Wouldn’t be a huge issue if I didn’t have small children. Would be 5 stars otherwise.

I assumed my windows would take an extremely long time to create considering I had to get custom sizes for my house, and I was able to get them measured and installed fairly quickly! They called to keep me updated and even moved up my installation time. My windows I had were broken and terrible and someone even came by to add insulation to them to help until my windows were ready! 10/10 would use window world again!

The initial contact with Window World was positive and a gentleman came out and gave me an estimate. My wife and I thought it over and decided to go ahead and I contacted the gentleman to come back out and we came to an agreement on the price and I paid half up front to get the windows built, so far so good. After having to deal with weather issues and some minor miscommunication W.W. sent out 3 of the nicest and most knowledgeable installers you could ever imagine and my new windows look FABULOUS ! Now 5 months after installation the proof is in the pudding meaning: when I went to bad last night the temperature was 48F degrees, this morning the temp is 17F and the room temp has remained constant and is comfortable. Window World's professionalism and quality of product recommend themselves. The salesman that appraised my job laid out my options clearly and honestly, and the two young men who did the job were respectful and detail-oriented. I appreciate seeing those options and being told exactly what I can expect from each of them. That way I can make the best decision for my family. Plus, I cannot say enough good things about the two young men who installed my window. They reinforced the base of the window, took precautions against the glass breaking, and cleaned up the whole job site. Even after 2 weeks, the only hand prints that I can see are those of my 3 year old. I had a large window installed in the front of my house. The double pane impacts the warmth of my house positively. The glass has already withstood a knocked over Christmas tree, three soccer balls, and a family get-together. Plus, the view from my front window is dramatically improved. Thank you Window World for the respect, attention to detail, and quality construction.

They were on time, did a great job with the removal of my old windows and installed the new ones. They cleaned up everything and finished just as it started raining so I was so happy to get them in before the storms. I am very happy with my new windows. I would recommend them to anyone. I bought a home that I planned to use as a rental. The owner said only negative was that it got really cold in the winter. It had single pane windows with metal frames that would radiate cold inside. My first tenant had a new baby and I wanted the home to be comfortable for them. I had Window World install new windows, and that winter, on a very cold day, the new mom commented on how nice and cozy the home was. Only change was the windows. I have since had them do another home for me, and a third is on order. Good value and I have been pleased with the results.

I was very hesitant to use Window World after seeing some terrible reviews. The salesman was great but reviews were nerve racking. After getting several other quotes, we chose to use Window World. They were very responsive and did a fantastic job installing the windows. Would recommend if considering window replacement for a good value.

After speaking with Cassandra the production assistant, I decided to move forward on the replacement of my windows. Hesitant about the company at first, Cassandra quickly gave me a comfort level without sugar coating anything. Shane and his team arrived for the job early and proceeded to put on a ROCK STAR performance. These guys were bad to the bone. Before I knew it I was looking directly outside all throughout the house. The old windows were out and gone. The new windows were installed. They cleaned up inside and outside. I watched the professional caulking and sealing job. The efficiency of this installation was unbelievable. I watched it all. They started at 9am and were done by 3pm, complete with giving me a demonstration and providing the pertinent information I needed to know. Neighbors were at my house immediately talking about the outstanding job and look of the new windows. Several have already asked to be referred. I cannot speak on the entire company. But I can tell you with certainty that if you ask for Cassandra, Production Assistant; Aaron, Project Manager and Shane and his team for installation, you will be grinning and proud like I am right now. Aaron called to make sure the team was there, He called mid-day to make sure the job was going well and he called when the job was finished to see if I had any issues. I don't know how you can ask for more than that. If there was I would ask because I am a customer with an expectation of excellence and that is exactly what I got with this installation of 16 windows from Window World.

We had ordered 4 double hung windows in the summer and we were given an installation date in Oct. When the installation date arrived we were called and told that only two windows could be installed as the other two had arrived broken. So two more windows were ordered with an installation date for Dec. We were then called on a Friday in Mid Nov. to get an installation for that Sunday to which we agreed. On Sunday we were called to inform us that the installation would not happen that day as the installer's previous job was going to take all day. When I asked to have the installation happen the next week, I was told that I would have to talk to the scheduler. My issues with all of this are these: 1. The original shipment of windows should have been inspected when they arrived at the warehouse and the new windows ordered that day instead of the damage being discovered on the day of installation. 2, The Sunday installation should have not been scheduled at all as the size of the other job should not have been a surprise. 3. As a customer, it is not my responsibility to call your scheduler to get a new installation date, that should have been handled by the manager to fit me in ASAP and then a call to me to verify the acceptability of that date.

I have a 3 page write up of all the issues we experienced. We ordered our windows back in November 2020 and the job was finally complete in April 2022. At first, we were told 10-14 weeks to get the windows in. Customer service did a poor job keeping us update on when our windows would come in during this time. I had to call and beg for them to install at the end of April (we were due with our first child the end of April). We were told April 18th for the installation date however, this date got pushed back to April 19th because of installation issues with other sites. During the installation, two of the windows were broken when they arrived, so they weren't able to install the 4 windows. In addition, the sashes was also broken on two windows. The installers asked us to sign a “Certification of Completion Form”. My husband asked if the form was to show that the work was completed and they said “No”, this was only to confirm the work that had been done so far”. We were told it would take a few weeks to get the windows and sash in. Turns out, we were charged for the whole project even though the work hadn’t been done. We had to spend hours on the phone with both Wells Fargo and Window World to get this resolved and convince them the project wasn’t done. Turns out, the biller in Window World made a mistake. That was issue #1. We had bigger issues, the original installer put nails in our fames (would void the warranty) and did not install any metal trim. We didn’t know that until another installer came out to install our shahs (the message about our missing windows got lost) and after a QI person came out months later. This meant that Window World would have to come out again to re-install all of our windows. Overall, it took 18 months, hours spent on the phone, damage to our credit score, and needless stress to get our windows. After all the stress and time spent trying to resolve this, we were able to work out a resolution with Window World. We are happy with the end product, just extremely frustrated and disappointed with the process.

Update 6.1.22. We are finally done. Everything is installed. Update 1.18.22 Still nothing from Window World. 4 more months and still incomplete with 2 missing screens. I have paid but just can't get what I paid for. I just don't understand this company at all. So sick of it. At least I got a small credit for all my trouble. So tired if calling, sitting on hold for hours etc. Ugh Update 9 22.21 Finally got my last 2 windows about a month ago. Just went to open them and no screens. Wth window world. I have put in a call to Shane daily. So frustrating. Update. 5.10.21 Still no windows or communication from this company. I still need the last 2 windows. They did come and repair the locks in April and now 2 of my windows will not lock at all. Disgraceful. Update: They came and installed some of the windows 3.30.21. Two of them were broken and could not be installed. Of the windows I actually got, 8 locks broken, 2 screens broken and one window light is coming in along with very cold air.. I was displeased to say the least. Maybe 9k is easy for some...but I feel that is a great deal of money. The installers said no worries at all, a service guy will be here tomorrow to correct the issues. Great right? Not so much since he did not show up and no call. So I called them. Hahahahaha. Good luck getting anyone to answer a phone or return a call. I have called 36 times over the course of 7 days and nothing. This is by far the worst experience with a company I have ever had. I would love to review the product if I could actually get the windows I paid for 6 months ago now. The rep said 3 months. Okay...I get it with Covid. He said I would surely have them by Christmas 2020. No joy on that. So after the holidays and hearing nothing from the company, I gave them a jingle. Finally they gave me an install date of 3/12/21. Yeah right! Not so much. Got a call today 3.11.21 at 4:30 pm they needed to reschedule me for June. Are you kidding me. We took off work, moved everything out of the way like instructed and disrupted our home and this is how you treat customers. She said the installers were finishing up another job. So 3 more months though...I am furious and will now find another company for my doors. Wish I could cancel this contract. You got me on this one Window World. Buyer beware..you can wait 9 months to a year for what you have paid for. Super unprofessional company with zero communication.

The rep who came out and gave me an estimate was very professional. I feel he could have been more detailed about the different window options. I think because I was female he did not. However, I am pleased with my windows. It took a while to get them and I had to keep calling to check the status instead of being called with an update. The person who came was a contractor. He did an excellent job and cleaned up the mess from the old windows. I felt he should have asked me if I wanted to keep my old windows which two wasn't broken. But after he finished we reviewed the job together and I told him I was pleased. So he left. My experience was a good one. If i need windows for the future it will be Window World. I didn't give 5 stars because the time it took to get the windows to be installed and me having to call to check the status.

To tell you all that I am satisfied with my experience with Window World of Birmingha, Alabama, is an understatement. My wife and I originally just wanted to replace the windows in our kitchen bay area. Naturally, we shopped around for the best price. Mr.Bruce, from Window World, came to our home for an estimate. While visiting our home, Bruce was professional, highly respectful, and extremely knowledgeable about the windows he presented us. Once Bruce finished his demonstration on the different functions of the window and explained all of its advantages, he presented us with a ridiculously low price! At this point, my wife and I requested that he measure all of our windows. Once again, Bruce presented us with another ridiculously low estimate! My wife and I didn't hesitate for a second, we pulled the trigger! Once we paid for our installation, we were given a reasonable expected installation date, which we both were happy with. However, Window World under promised and OVER DELIVERED! Our new windows were professionally installed three weeks AHEAD of schedule!!! Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee Jr. and Mr. Colt, (Window World installers) arrived two and half hours EARLIER than they had previously promised me! All three installers were professional, highly respectful, and extremely knowledgeable during the one day installation process. I would highly recommend this company to my family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers! Not only am I satisfied with my overall experience with Window World, but I feel as if I have gained new friends as well.

The wait time was a little excessive but in their defense we were in the middle of a worldwide pandemic which delayed every thing in America. But it was worth the wait because these finished French doors are amazing. The quality along with the workmanship of the technicians was spot on. Will use them again in the future.

Had great experience with new replacement windows from Window World of Central Alabama. I had an issue with the lentils above the windows that caused a delay in the work evolutions. The manager even got involved in setting up rescheduling and finishing work. They made sure I had the same tech to finish up the work and even had found someone who could have done repairs. I was able to fine local craftsman to do brick work but still was impressed with their willingness to help me get windows in. I can give them no less that five stars. I also feel they will back warranty if needed but feel the windows perform as desired. Thanks guys for a great installation experience. I look forward to enjoying our new windows for years to come. Horrible, Horrible company I didn't read reviews before contacting them wish I had. This company is a joke after 3mos waiting for windows changed appt 3 times that day finally got here after 5pm, didn't have all windows didn't know until installers had finished said were in warehouse would call when they were found, after a week called them was told had to order them would be another 12wks,when they came in made appt. 4 times b4 finally came out. That's all they do is make appt and cancel never call to inform you of anything, took all the joy out of having new windows in my home just glad be through with them. Paid cash so only paid for windows that got installed didn't finish paying until they finished took 9 months.

I ordered windows in August. The salesman measured and the project mgr measured. They call me December 10th and tell me they are ready to install that day or wait until March. After rearranging my day they show up and the windows are as much as 3 inches to short. I canceled the order and was told I had a contract.

Installers were the best part of this deal. Job is still Not complete, but it’s due to sales person. Asked for all windows to be replaced and yet one window was missed??? But I wasn’t give the list of windows measured, just told a number. Didn’t realize one large was actually 2 smaller windows. Not happy!!! And still haven’t been sent “estimate” for final window. Talk about customer service. Glad they stand behind their windows, not their customer service. Updated: did get missed window at cost, they came out and installed it very quickly. No problems with windows. Very good, easy to clean and am enjoying them greatly!!

Window World has definitely bit off more than they can chew, when it comes to jobs and enough crews to get them done. Contract was signed March 5th, we were scheduled for installation in early June, and rescheduled 6 times up until I was able to speak with a production manager who explained why and what was going on. He made a date of July 6th, and the crew finally came.. They got all of the windows in, and left because there was an overcast (It didn't rain). So they said they'd be back on Wednesday to complete the installation, and a no show, no call. Today they showed up unannounced and completed the job. The crew was very friendly, cleaned up the mess and handled any concerns we had. I am impressed with the windows, and the sales rep, but as far as the ladies including the supervisors of them, they are blunt out rude, and only one offered a simple apology for all of this. If I wouldn't of had to clear all of my windows and move things so many times because of being pushed back, my rating would be better. But for the lack of apathy and unapologetic and rudeness, my rating is what it is. If you don't mind being rescheduled with your actual install date not being held, I recommend this company.. The prices are fair for the windows and their quality .. The price is NOT fair for the inconvenience.

I highly recommend this company and will be using them again in the future. Window World did a great job on 6 windows. I will say I wasn't very happy with the Salesman Dan once he sold me on the windows I never heard from him again. I called numerous of times and sent texts and to me that's not how you earn repeat business. But like I said Larry went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased and Happy. Install went great. I am completely thrilled over my new windows! My house looks brand new and the view in my yard is gorgeous! Really dont want to put curtains back up LOL. I love how easy the windows open and close and how well insulated they are. The installation crew were very nice and professional not to mention they got 12 windows installed in about 4 hours. Have a nest of baby birds on my porch ledge and they were even extra careful not to disturb them 🙂

Great initial consult with company representative. Costs and number of windows needed was presented. Myself and my wife did not feel as though we were pressured which allows us to make a more informed decision regarding windows for our home. Of all the products that we have looked at, the quality was indeed excellent. Haven't made a purchase decision as of yet but based on our experience, will definitely consider Window World. Also, the lifetime transferable warranty is a great selling point.

The whole process was easy from quote to completed project. My installers were wonderful and very satisfied with how they left the job. They worked tirelessly for two days replacing 22 windows in my almost 100 year old house. I can tell a huge difference in both exterior noise penetration and energy efficiency. I have agreed to revise my review after the company has an opportunity to fix and REPAIR the issues we have with this install. So far, all the management has been responsive. Although there are still negatives, the inconvenience of the repairs and the work taking up more of our time than was planned...hopefully there will be an improvement for this review and our experience. I will update this at the end of it all. DAY TWO; Day 2 of what we were told would be a 1 day job. Last night they were here working until 8pm. Meaning I could not use my kitchen or fix dinner and still had to move furniture to get to our bed. Another day/night with no privacy or window coverings. We had plans for tomorrow, however it looks like we will still be dealing with this. Today they didn't show up until 1pm. Costing my husband another day at his job. Now we are told they don't have the materials to FIX the DAMAGE they did yesterday! One of them is CONSTANTLY on his phone (while on ladder, while "working") to a woman. He's the one that caused the most damage yesterday. If he put his phone down and worked with both hands, maybe the quality of their workmanship would improve and get done on schedule?! If I hear "oh we can Caulk that" one more time! I would suggest asking whatever company you choose if they have their own Installers or do rent unknowns like WW does? UPDATED from a 1 to a 3 star review. Although the process was long and irritating...the management did try hard to make it right. And finally the defective windows and damage were repaired or replaced. The product...the windows...we were very pleased with. We would even consider WW for our new home if they could assure us their installers were not a bunch of unskilled illegals that really were not professionals. The WW Management went above and beyond to make it right, I would give them 5 stars if it were a review about them, but it’s not.

It took a while to get our windows, but once we received them, the work went flawlessly and they had the job completed within two days. The salesman, Bruce Craig, was very patient and understanding. He answered all of my questions and showed me what my windows would look like. In addition, the crew who installed our windows were very polite and got straight to work. Working with the sales representative at the beginning was great. He was very patient and knowledgeable to explain the products, the installation process/timeline, and the financial options. Scheduling was much more difficult as I had to make initial calls and was told install would be a month later than planned. After I posted a poor google review and they learned we were trying to put our house on the market, they reached out to us and scheduled our installation for the next day. One of our windows has some scratches (very obvious since we have dark colored vinyl) so we are waiting to hear how they’ll correct that. Otherwise the window installation itself went smoothly and they look great.

His knowledge, problem solving and management of the project was excellent. There were a few bumps with the installation, however they were clearly the best choice of the many companies I looked at. Windows seem to be high quality. Time will tell but if there are ever any problems the iron clad lifetime warranty is there to resolve it. That is the main reason I chose window world. As for the installation, it was spot on and the crew were extremely polite, courteous, efficient and professional. I couldn't have been more pleased.

They did a great job at a fair price. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the wait time. It was mid July when I hired them and we just got the windows installed on Sep 21st. I think this is because they are so back logged. I will end with this. It was worth the wait because the price and on job site service was great. We order the windows beginning of March. Scheduled the appt for installation first of May. It took 5 times of rescheduling before we actually got them installed. BUT wow what a difference they have made in the house! The temp upstairs is now the same downstairs! Our air conditioner is not constantly running all day! I had Window World replace all the windows in my house SEVERAL years ago. They did a great job then and they are doing another great job! I had a couple of windows go wonky. I am not sure if a couple of seals leaked but I had bubbles between the glass. I was able to go online, put in my window information, the windows were ordered and installed and life is good. We have used window world 3 times now and we have had good results with their windows, service, and installation. But this last time the guys that installed the windows are a joke. They did not clean up and half way cleaned up the outside. At 8:30 pm I was cleaning and vacuuming up under each of our windows. Also, I just discovered that one of the men peed on the ply wood in our attic. Left glass up there. I hope no one ever gets them. They are from Lee County. It is a Dad, Son, and brother in law. If they come up send them packing and ask for someone else. Window world did compensate for their just plain sorriness. I hate to say that but that is what they are.

We've already signed a contract but it's taking forever to get the damn window. They have already cashed 1/2 the money and I still have a taped up window, waiting on this new one. It's been over a month and that's just ridiculous and we haven't heard squat since the last measurements in 3 weeks. This also seems to be a theme based on other reviews. Update: When they installed it (finally) about a month ago, it was very professionally done. They just take forever to get out there to do it. Apparently they custom make every window and it's probably some third party which is always a waiting game.

Well, I spoke with Larry and he came out and evaluated my home. Since I have such a unique house he sent his best crew out to redo the job. Raphael and Amelio were fantastic. I would recommend them to do the job! Everything looks professionally installed. No gaps, capping looks amazing, and they fixed a few extra things that wasnt in the contract but they felt like needed to be done. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because this was a redo.
