Our experience was absolutely pleasant and satisfying. The veterinarian was so kind and so informative about our dog’s health. We felt very comfortable and trusted our dog in her hands. The staff was also so pleasant and kind and the ladies at the front desk was just great! We highly recommend this office to anyone who is searching for the right Veterinarian. We will definitely be returning and making this office our Primary veterinarian for our dog ! Extremely Grateful! Thank you all .

From the time I entered the clinic there was such a family vibe. The staff are fantastic, pleasant and so helpful. The veterinarian L. Victoria Coronato is AMAZING!! My cat MoMo was treated with love and compassion. She was thoroughly examined and treated for her symptoms. The price was quite reasonable. I highly recommend going to Oliver’s Dog and Cat Clinic, you will never go anyplace else. I guarantee you will feel the same way I do. 🤗

I've been taking my 3 year old Siamese here since she was about 4 months old and now we take her little sister, now 6 months old. The office is extremely clean, no hair our dust to be found which is greatly appreciated. Dr. Coronato is straight forward and to the point, available to answer any and all questions I've had. Her prices are responsible considering what you get compared to some of the other Vets we've been to. No surprise charges, she's upfront with the cost when asked. You get what you pay for honestly. I've had both of my babies spayed here, I didn't trust some of the other doctors we've been to based on the look of the waiting room alone. Let alone how they behave when they think no one is watching. I'f you're looking for a safe, clean place to take your baby. This is it.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Coronato and her team. They have been a major help in looking after my cat for more than 10 years from the time my cat was a youngster to now a geriatric cat over 20 years old. They truly care about their patients and the patient’s parents, and understand the love that bonds with a companion. Dr Coronato is highly skilled at her practice, easy to talk to and ask questions, and goes above and beyond to provide care - whether for routine check ups, travel related issues, or when the little one is not feeling well. Hernando is a fantastic vet assistant. He’s gentle and kind with the animals and is amazingly able to soothe during distressing situations like shots or those dreaded nail clippings. Staff at the front desk are responsive and friendly. I’ve always felt the team has my cat’s and my best interest at heart. Highly recommend.

I could not be happier with the care my fur baby Gouda has received at Oliver's. I recently had her spayed, and she was playing (albeit somewhat gingerly) just 24 hours later. Thirty-six hours after the surgery, it was all I could do to keep her from being too rambunctious, as though she hadn't just undergone surgery. And I'm not sure what surgical sorcery was at work, but I only caught her licking her stitches twice--never even chewing or scratching. No uncomfortable e-collar needed. When I went to collect her after surgery, it was passed 5 on a Friday but Dr. Coronato didn't rush me at all, answered all my questions about post-op care very patiently and gave my groggy pup a last look. She also checked in multiple times that night and over the weekend to make sure all was well and answer questions. As for the initial puppy appointments and vaccinations, Dr. Coronato was incredibly thorough. I grew up with German Shepherds, which seem pretty sturdy at 9 weeks. So I was extremely anxious about caring for this tiny, 3-lb floof who seemed intent on getting into as much trouble as possible. Dr. Coronato set my mind at ease, gave me useful and important information on puppy proofing, food, vaccine schedule, and overall well-being. She answered many questions and never made me feel rushed. I only wish my own doctors' appointments were so thorough. I also really appreciated the way Dr. Coronato and her technician handled Gouda during the initial exams. They had a very good shorthand with each other on how to maneuver her so she never felt manhandled, forced, or scared. She was super happy, thinking she was getting cuddles and pets, maybe would be momentarily confused when there was a quick camera in her ear or a pinch from a needle, but never seemed distressed and went right back to happy mode from cuddles and attention. It was honestly very impressive. Gouda herself gives the doggo equivalent of a five star review-- we live three blocks away and when we walk the office by she sits by the door with her tail wagging and refuses to move bc this isn't a scary place where painful/scary things happen, to her it's a place she has a positive association with, where people give her attention and treats. In short, I feel very lucky to have such a competent and caring vet in the neighborhood and whole-heartedly recommend!

At the referral of a friend, we visited Dr. Coronato and her associates for Kenji's first vet visit in the city. Incredible folks at the front desk that immediately made me feel comfortable (after a chaotic journey to the vet). And Dr. Coronato was both so comforting, yet so efficient with Kenji throughout the exam. Also, just a complete fountain of knowledge on all things related to our little guy. Olivers dog and cat clinic is a wonderful vet. Dr. Coronato takes a deep personal interest in your pet’s well being and will give you very good advice on what is good for your dog and will keep your dog happy. She follows up and calls after your visit to make sure everything is okay and her staff and assistants are wonderful with your pet. We not only use her for annual visits and vaccines but our 1-year old dog had to have corrective eye surgery and she did an amazing job with that. As always she called the next day to follow up to see if everything was all right. I recommend Oliver’s clinic very highly if you want a vet that is both a great professional and caring.

My cat, Missy, had her first appointment at Oliver's and I just had to write a review. Dr. Coronato is very caring and patient. Missy, normally a loving cat, does NOT like the doctor's office and made her feelings known. The doctor and her assistant went out of their way to TRY to keep her calm. They have a great "bedside" manner and gave excellent advice. I was seen on time in the "cat room", and to top that off, test results come back the next day! 10/10

Oliver's Dog & Cat Clinic isn't cold like some vets. It's a small practice. She gives you and your pet the attention you need. She's good at following up on how your pet does after surgery. I've had many pets, and this has been the best vet experience. I highly recommend Dr. Coronato.

It's not often that I write two reviews for the same place... however, Oliver's Dog & Cat Clinic deserves this honor. Dr. Coronato is an angel. My kitty, Missy, was approaching 16 years old and only got to benefit from Dr. Coronato's care for a few months. However, in that time, we both felt very cared for. Dr. Coronato and her staff (Hernando, Veanne, and Miriam) are so warm and professional. I'm taking time to heal from losing my kitty, but if/when I adopt another pet, Dr. Coronato will certainly be my veterinarian. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience!

I recently adopted two kittens from the streets who needed a ton of help to get healthy and feel better. Dr. Coronato took the time to explain the examination to me and show me what her exam findings were in addition to clearly laying out a course of treatment for them (turns out they had ear mites, worms, and giardiasis). After a week my boys are like different cats! They're super affectionate now that they're feeling better. I'll be recommending the clinic to anyone who asks and cannot say enough good things about them. Some technical details: turnaround time for medication was quick - same day pickup with no fuss and I got their lab results within two days. The office was clean and the staff were friendly. Edit: Read some other reviews on here saying that Dr. Coronato doesn't have good bedside manner and I would take them with a grain of salt. I work in the medical field and from my interactions with her she seemed like a straight shooter who knew her field extremely well. Sometimes people interpret confidence and expertise as condescension.

I arrived this morning assuming that I had a follow up vaccination appointment (which I forgot to schedule). Dr. Coronato and her team are so accommodating and fit us into a cancelled slot. Dr. C was pleasant, concerned, inquisitive and responsive to the abundance of questions that I had as a fist time French bulldog owner. She was friendly and patient and very knowledgeable of allergies, puppy illnesses, good recommendations and medication overview. I truly appreciate her efforts and all of the support that she is providing to her patients! Dr. Coronado diagnosed a rare inherited disease in our puppy, so we were able to get prompt treatment. She shows a lot of real care and love for our animals! When she spayed our puppy she warmed up a towel in the microwave so we could wrap her up for the ride home, and then she called a few times over the weekend and evening to see how she was doing. It made a huge difference!

Two years ago, Dr. Coronato performed surgery on my little one to remove bladder stones. I decided to entrust her aftercare to a local clinic with various locations due to its proximity to my home. This is a decision I will always regret. I returned to Dr. Coronato after detrimentally realizing that my little one's health was not a priority at the other clinic, resulting in the accumulation of further bladder stones due to the lack of proper management. Dr. Coronato took the time to walk through the necessary surgery, aftercare and long-term management that would be required in order for my little one to live a healthier, pain-free life. I have visited Oliver's Dog & Cat Clinic a couple of times with my 18-year old cat Hermione and I always walk away feeling really great about the care that Dr. Coronato provides her. She never pushes unnecessary procedures/surgeries/medicines, which is really refreshing. Recently, my cat developed a tooth abscess and I took her here and Dr. Coronato explained several options and provided time for me to think about it before making a decision. We ended up bringing her in to be put under, and being the old lady cat that she is, I was nervous, but Dr. Coronato made me feel comfortable and listened to my concerns while also being realistic. Her surgery was successful and Dr. Coronato took extra care to make sure that I knew exactly how to follow up with Hermione and make sure she was ok, going so far as to call me after her normal business hours to check in on her and provide me with more information. I'm so lucky that this office is so close to home, because I can't imagine going anywhere else for my cat's care. Her whole staff is friendly and they run a really nice vet office that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. Thanks so much, Dr. Coronato! Here's a picture of Hermione resting and recovering from her surgery last week. She's doing really well and she's back to her normal, spunky self!

This place is truly a treasure. I'm a first time pet owner (as an adult) and I had never been to a veterinarian so I was unsure of what to expect. Dr. Coronoto is straightforward, caring and down to earth. The front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. The prices are reasonable and the location is excellent. Both her and her assistant were gentle with my cat Sushi. They only let a couple of people in the waiting area at a time, so if you come early be prepared to wait outside until someone leaves. I would definitely recommend this place.

Oliver’s truly is the best! They are all in one veterinary care provider and shop. I was impressed with how much they followed up and kept asking me about how my dog was doing, even weeks after our visit. Also, my dog is aggressive and usually treated, well, not so nicely but Oliver’s they treated her so nicely. Just like if she was a sweet little Pug or Poodle! I've been bringing my cat and very senior dog to Oliver's for years. They always provide amazing treatment, and I know my fur kids are in really good hands. Dr Coronado is singularly focused on their care, even if it means telling me something I don't want to hear (like my dog's favorite treat is bad for him). I know there are some negative reviews, and not to discount others' experience, but as long as you make your appointment on time and don't show up after not taking your pet to vet for years and then expect miracles, you will have a great experience but more importantly, excellent care.

Dr. Coronado and her staff are truly caring people who go above and beyond. As an owner of dog I adopted three days ago from a shelter, I had tons of questions, and Dr. Coronado answered each and every one without rushing. She and her staff take the time to connect with owners and their pets, are extremely knowledgeable, and they really listen. When my dog got nervous, they handled it with lots of humor and patience. Highly recommend. Update Nov 2022: I moved to Yonkers but have continued to go to Dr. Coronado. Over the three years I’ve had my dog, she’s been great about supporting us with last minute emergencies like severe ear infections. When she did surgery on my dog to remove a growth from his tail, she called us on her day off to check up on how he was doing. She also helped us get our dog on a diet that worked for him so he got to an appropriate weight. We eventually need to choose someone closer but I’ve been really happy with this clinic. They really care.

I have a new kitten who I’ve fallen in love with and was super scared for her (and mine) first vet visit. Dr Coronato and her veterinary assistant we’re nothing short from attentive, professional, and even humorous during a somewhat stressful time. On the way to the clinic, my kitten was pushing her face against the mesh on her carrier and her nose was a little bit raw. Regardless of not being part of the visit, which was scheduled for vaccination and deworming, Dr Coronato was kind enough to provide my Luna with some ointment. She even gave me a recommendation for healthier food, and was attentive enough to notice the breakaway collar was a little bit big on my Luna. This goes to speak about the care she truly has for our little furry friends. Will definitely continue giving Oliver’s Dog and Cats clinic my money!

I've been going to Oliver's since first moving to the neighborhood with a rescue dog with plenty of issues ranging from anxiety to anti-social behavior. The staff and Dr. Coronato have been nothing but honest, upfront, and accommodating. My dog was prescribed medication that has worked very well, and they are always able to refill prescriptions quickly. I will say this, some people may take Dr. Coronato's directness as rudeness, but this is NYC, and Dr. Coronato is cut from the old cloth. She will not BS you on things, and contrary to other reviews I've read, she does a comprehensive rundown of costs before treating your pet, and even worked with me on a price to fix my dog after she was attacked. I trust them implicitly, and have even stopped to chat with some of the staff when seeing them around the area. Posted below is a photo of my dog when she goes on her walks with my girlfriend. I ask anyone to find me another Vet that a dog actually WANTS to go to!

Dr. Coronato was a god-send! She prioritized our Chihuahua who needed immediate care and show a lot of love to her. Dr. Coronato and her team tended to our dog's emergency dental surgery and when it came down to talk business we were pleasantly surprised by a manageable and fair price. They also offer Care Credit for interest-free payment over 6 months. She called us everyday prior to surgery and asked that we call in the following day post-surgery to answer any questions/concerns and check in on our pet. Maxi, my overweight and aggressive American Bully, went to visit Dr. Coronato for the first time a few months ago. Maxi had a horrible ear infection, that had actually already caused her ear to swell and form a huge cyst. I was very nervous about taking my dog there in the first place, because her ear was painful and so my dog was in a super bad mood and therefore more than her normal aggressive. Dr. Coronato and her staff were incredible; they knew how to handle my dog, met me outside with a muzzle for her and to slowly introduce themselves to Maxi outside. In the end, I received antibiotics and Dr. Coronato drained her cyst and to this day my dog, who used to have constant ear infections, has had NONE! I am so thankful to Oliver's and highly recommend them!

I made an appointment for my 5 month old puppy. The office is very clean! You have to be vaccinated for entry. The doctor was amazing she asked questions checked everything and even gave me great info to take home. She tells you everything she’s doing and why, you’ll feel confused about what’s going on. Her prices are great for the service she gives! She doesn’t rush you and takes her time to get to know your pup. I know he’s in good hands and won’t be going anywhere else! Her staff is great from the front desk to the assistant in the room. He makes your pup comfortable before the exam. Amazing place!

Dr Coronato is amazing. Our 13 year old chihuahua was having an emergency medical issue. The staff was understanding and booked us the first open slot. At first her symptoms were showing signs of a GI issue but after a week of a new diet she was still not better. We called Dr Coronato again and got an appointment for that same day. The location had great COVID-19 safety protocols in place and is very clean. I appreciated not having to wait outside for a long time like I've had to at other veterinarian offices, even when I had an appointment. EDIT (to 4 stars): For pet owners who require prescriptions, please be prepared to mail in a paper prescription to Petmed, etc. The office will not accept phone calls from them so you will need to allot extra time before getting your medications for your pet. My cat will not be getting her 2.5 mg thyroid medication for a week because of the delay. Dr. Coronato only has 5mg in-house. It's unfortunate but now I know moving forward. She refuses to answer any calls to approve medicine prescriptions. -- (5 stars) I brought my 14yr old tabby cat to Oliver's Vet for the first time today. I just moved here from Brooklyn. Dr. Coronato was SO friendly and relatable. We shared our cat pics and she attended to my cat tenderly. Knowing she is the last vet who will be regularly treating Betty for the remainder of her long life brings me so much comfort. I love this clinic. I adopted Beckett in March of 2018 at 15 months old and he is my first dog. I initially started out with another vet clinic and they were dishonest and up charging with no explanation. I heard about Dr.C from a neighbor and was told to contact her. Beckett had a little area that was losing hair last year and he kept itching it. She gave him some Apaquel and he healed right up. I have been going to her ever since. She is honest and thorough and really cares about animals. Her staff is very nice. The receptionist Jennifer is always helpful and friendly. The vet tech is very playful with Beckett as well. I have been taking my two cats to Dr. Coronato’s Office for over a year. One of them is special-needs (feline asthma - which is a thing). Dr. Coronato and her team at Oliver’s are professional, knowledgeable, and you can tell they really care about animals. Some of the negative reviews I noticed prior to trying this office pertained to cost, which hasn’t been my experience as their rates are pretty much the same as my previous vet on the west side. So let me start by saying I was negligent in taking care of my senior citizen dog Chuckys dental care. The worse it got the more anxiety I had to bring him to a vet. I have to admit I was very nervous about being judged when bringing him in for a much needed dental procedure. All my worries were gone as soon as I stepped in to Oliver’s!! Everybody and I mean everybody from front desk to vet assistant and especially Dr. Coronato gave my senior the utmost care and attention and also put all my fears at ease. They are extremely caring and take their time making sure all of your pets needs are attended to. During the dental procedure Dr. Coronato even went as far as removing a skin tag out of the kindness of her heart. My Chucky is now having a better quality of life. I'm writing this review to recommend Oliver's dog clinic. Dr Coronato is the vet you can trust. My 3 yrs old Korean Jindo was diagnosed with Pyometra about 2 weeks ago. She was in critical condition. There was no guarantee that she can survive even after the surgery but Dr Coronato did amazing job and literally saved my dog's life. As a pet owner who has 15 yrs of experience of raising dogs, I've met quite a few vets who don't really show affection for animal. Some vets only care for money. Dr Coronato is exactly opposite of that. You can feel she really loves and cares for animals. I'm glad that i made a right choice. I will definitely recommend Dr. Coronato to my friends too.

Great vet. Dr. Coronato takes wonderful care of my cockapoo, Sunny. The staff members are great. The clinic is bright and clean with rooms for cats and dogs. The prices are reasonable. I myself travel from down town to bring my pooch there even though there are closer vets. If we have an emergency she immediately follows up so there are no gaps in care.

This was my first experience and was lucky I found such a great staff of people to help my cat. My cat hates going outside, is terrified of others, and doesn't like interacting with strangers, I came into this clinic to have his growth checked out and was relieved to know it was taken care of (benign tumor). When taken to other vets they had to hold my cat down to administer shots to him but he actually chokes when doing so due to his age and then was told they can't proceed with the shots since my cat is just too unruly, I was relieved when they didn't have to hold my cat down at all when I mentioned this issue to the vet and were able to sedate him no problem, they also managed to remove his stitching weeks later without sedating him as well despite the fact the he hates being touched by strangers. I'm really thankful that these guys are open during these difficult times.

I recently brought my two cats to Oliver's Dog and Cat Clinic while visiting NYC from Boston for a month. I brought them in because they were having health issues that had not been resolved since our last visit to our local Boston vet. Oliver's Dog and Cat Clinic was able to see us next-day. Not only did Dr. Coronato quickly and accurately diagnose both cats, she discovered a completely different issue our other vet had not noticed: one cat had THREE rotten teeth! We scheduled an appointment for a cleaning/extraction the following week. Dr. Coronato was extremely attentive, and called me to check up on my cat after the procedure. Overall, she took a tremendous amount of time with us, and we never had to wait. Going to the vet is never cheap, but at other vets I have felt taken advantage of. At Oliver's Dog and Cat Clinic, the pricing was transparent, the recommended services were reasonable and solution-oriented, and I felt like my cats were being really well taken care of. We are ditching the Boston vet and will continue seeing Dr. Coronato when we are in NYC!

I am so happy I found this vet! I took my cat there when he was almost in an emergency state AFTER being in a hospital that cost me a few grand and didn't give me the proper results. Here, they explained everything completely and made sure I understood. They read the hospital's discharge paperwork better then the hospital! Dr. Coronato is just the best. Very attentive, caring, and devotes a lot of time to each patient. She gives you plenty of time to ask questions and takes a lot of time to explain everything to you. The two rooms are absolutely adorably decorated, one cat specific and one dog specific, and make you realize you've come to a place that really cares about you and your pet. Unfortunately my kitty had to be put down and Dr. Coronato stayed open late to give me time and space to decide what was best and to grieve. She and her techs were extremely sympathetic and caring; she even offered to bring my cat's ashes closer to my house since she knew the clinic was a bit of a drive for me. I even got a sweet note in the mail a few days later that expressed sorrow for my loss.

I not only love the staff and Dr. Coronato, but I trust them. They are always very flexible with seeing Betty (the cutest labradoodle, ever IMHO) especially if she does not feel well. I am a particular and finicky owner and my dog is my family, so I want to ensure that I find her the best care possible- we have been to other vets uptown in Harlem and have had some poor experiences that I will not put my little love through again. We finally landed at Olivers through a reliable referral, we have been with Dr. Coronato for over a year now and I trust her implicitly. Her prices are very fair, in certain instances I know I could source what I need from Chewy for a couple of bucks less (usually just $3 to $4), but I CHOOSE to support this business and it is important to have the guarantee of a reputable DVM behind the product! She always takes my calls and checks in on us, I recognize her dedication and I will continue to go to her for all of my veterinary needs because she is full service (PetMeds nor Chewy actually care about your pet, they are simply running a business). Being in healthcare myself, I appreciate and notice the passion that Dr. Coronato has for providing care to our beloved companions- we are lucky to have her in the neighborhood. She gets 4 paws up and an enthusiastic tail wag!

Dr. Coronato is one of the most professional and helpful vets I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I had to bring my cat to her after a traumatic experience at the local Banfield and she was exactly what I was looking for. I was told by a previous vet that my cat required amputation of her tail, no question. When I sought a second opinion from Dr. Coronato she reassured me that nothing that drastic was necessary and the other vet was probably trying to exploit me and my pet. She prescribed my cat a few medicines and low and behold a few hours after getting home she was already recovering, tail and all. Dr. Coronato is a highly qualified and kind individual who truly entered this profession for her love of animals. Hands down the best pet clinic in El Barrio (East Harlem). What you should expect when you go. Oliver's is quite small and can fill up quickly with you and your furry friends. There is seating available and very, very clean. Who you'll be greeted by and who will check you in. Her name is Jennifer and saying that she is a mutitasker is a bit of an understatement. I have personally seen her greet, check in, answer the phone and shuffle through records simultaneously. For those that know growing up in a Hispanic household, it's sort of like when you were a kid and your mother was cooking dinner, yelling at your father, talking on the phone and she threw her chancleta at you because she knew you did something wrong 🤣. The Doc. L. Victoria Coronato, D. V. M. She is the truth. It's obvious that she loves what she does and is good at it. Very knowledgeable and down to earth bedside manners. One visit there, I did see her handle two appointments at the same time. While she is doing her doctorly duties you will be have a casual conversation about just about anything. I've been there a few times for my English Bull Terrier for her issues with allergies and another time for a foot injury. Queen Boudicca, a.k.a Bodhi recovered nicely. Thank you Doc. She does have an assistant, for the life of me I cannot recall his name, but he is very nice and caring. Like a ninja you'll see him in the room doing something and then you blink and he's gone. The endgame? Both you and your furry friends with be very happy and satisfied with Oliver's. It took me a few Docs before her and I have found my LNV... Local Neighborhood Veterinarian and that makes the both of us very happy. ** My last note on Oliver's is that my family all take there pets there as well. After Rosie had a serious surgery I received personal phone calls from Dr. Coronato from her cell phone every few nights just to check in on Rosie. The wait time is reasonable and for one doctor practice, Dr. Coronato still manages to remember my name and more importantly my Rosie girl's name and info. The only sad thing I can think to add is that she is adding more doctors into the practice which means we may not get to see her every time! She also called to check on my cat after the procedure and to see if I had any questions or concerns about the after care.
