We just moved to Wichita and my cousin recommend Oakcrest to me based on that she used to work with one of the vets. From the first time I called the office to schedule a boarding appointment to my actual appointment I have been very impressed with the staff. During my dog's boarding they sent me updates and photos. Very happy with our decision to use them so far. Attached are the photos they sent me of my very happy dog

Best Vet Clinic on the planet!! We love Dr. O'Campo so very much. The front staff, Kayla and Erin are so friendly, caring and helpful ....and they do everything they can to get you an appointment on the same day if needed. And Sarah the vet tech is awesome as well. She knows how to draw blood from an animal! Super happy with this place and super grateful to know my pet is in good hands! Highly recommend this place!! Wish I had known about them years ago, when I had some not so good experiences with another vet clinic.

We moved here from a small town where everyone was a friend. The vet made evening calls to ensure our pets were okay when something had happened with them. I was nervous about switching to a city business and loosing that customer service and care for us and our fur babies Dr. Hemmen and the Oakcrest team go above and beyond to show they truly care about us and our five pets. We have been impressed since the first appointment we had. Dr. Hemmen is so kind and truly cares and it shows in every one on the team as well. They are truly a small town feel and family atmosphere vet right in the city!! Keep doing what your doing guys!!

My family has brought our pets to Oakcrest for many years and now that I have my own pets I trust them to Oakcrest as well. Staff is always very courteous and hard-working, the veterinarians are kind and explain issues well. They are excellent advocates for the animals in their care, I recently witnessed staff actively educating individuals over the phone on why declawing is not recommended for cats. The clinic is clean and pleasant.

The staff at Oakcrest is great with my EXTREMELY stubborn Bulldogge! They went above and beyond with patience and understanding while trying to get my boy to cooperate without ever making me feel like they wanted to rush or give up on him. They even have a behaviorialist there at certain times to assist the doctors and owners with extra stubborn pets! 🙄 The only downfall, and the reason I did not give a full 5-stars, is they are definitely on the pricy side compared to the other clinic we used to take him to, buy after a very trauma-filled experience at the other place, I will pay Oakcrest's higher prices.

I don't think there's any way our experience could have been improved! We had a great visit and look forward to this being our new regular vet! Dr. Hemmen and her nurse were friendly and very informative, they were great with our dog, and they got us in for an urgent care appointment on Christmas Eve even though we were a new patient. The facility was roomy and clean, the exam room was well-appointed, and the exam was thorough. The vet took her time to explain everything to us. 100/10!

Maybe a clearer understanding of what to watch for and when to come in. Also I think if an animal is brought back in due to complication from surgery only the new meds should be what they are charged for. However Kelce will always be worth the money. The care and compassion they show you and your pet is top notch rated high in my books

Oakcrest Pet Hospital has been our veterinarian since November 2014. They are very professional, care about and love animals. They are very good at scheduling appointments when you need them, and at times will go out of there way to get you in. Having to work from 8-5 makes this convenient, as well as there hours are extended past 5:00 pm and have hours on Saturday. We have boarded Harley here before and he just loves it. When we bring him in for a check up, he thinks he is going to have doggie time with other dogs, so he gets very excited. Last month we boarded Harley for one night and asked for a nail trim. We have Pet Perks, which you accumulate points, which can be used for different services. We accumulated enough for the boarding and nail trim to be free. We mentioned it upon arrival, but the person picking up Harley received a bill. The next day I called up and mentioned the Pet Perks, and it was taken care of, so in the end, everything worked out and we are very satisfied.

We have a guinea pig that is dealing with eye issues! And our experience was awesome! They treated jersey with love and knew how important she was to my daughter and I. We definitely will be using them for all our guinea pigs needs. Definitely worth the trip to see an exotic pet vet!

This vet is incredible! The staff, the veterinarian Dr. Hemmen, and the vet tech Michell was all so very kind to both me and to my senior cat. I was so pleased with their services as well. They offer Wellness Plans to everyone that help with many vet costs and discounts including the office fees for a year. I wish I would of been recommended them a long time ago but I am ever so grateful to have them now ❤ I would to thank everyone there for their continuous kindness and help 😊 I highly recommend!!!

I had come home and discovered my 12 year old golden could not stand or walk on his own. I had used Oak Crest years ago for another dog and my Macaws. They were close to where I lived and they always did a good job, I have since moved to a different part of town I knew my vet was on vacation and the office was closed. I made 26 phone calls to various clinics, and was told sorry no appointments and not one of them offered to work him in. Oak crest was my 27th phone call, and they said they could work him in at 3 in the afternoon. The staff and doctor were excellent. I will probably continue to make the trip across town due to their kindness and compassion.

Our regular vet was full for boarding and referred us here. They took all 3 dogs, were super nice when checking in and sent us pictures of our pups while we were on vacation. Our almost 6 month Golden Doodle got very sick and my normal vet could not accomodate her until later in the afternoon. I then turned to look for help and this place was open arms and very helpful. They made sure we were put in right away and was very thorough with the treatment she needed. I will recommend to anyone to see this vet if needed for emergencys anytime!!

Working with the staff at Oakcrest was exceptional. I had previously been with Banfield, but was looking for something a little more personal (less corporate feeling). Getting setup for my first appointment was a breeze. They allowed me to email my details, which made the process so much easier than doing it over the phone. They even took care of getting records transferred, reviewed them before my visit, and had questions. The day of the appointment, not only did they take exceptional care of my pet, but on more than one occasion, asked if I needed anything to drink (water, coffee, tea). They are in a new building that is easy to get to, it's welcoming (as well as the staff), comfortable, and the pets seem to like it. I went during the COVID pandemic, and they were taking additional precautions to protect everyone. I'm not sure if they would normally do this, but they had very little overlap between pets, which contributed to a great experience for me and my pet. Well done!

This was my first visit. My African Grey parrot started to pluck his feathers. Dr. Campo was very involved in solving this mystery. His hands on with my parrot was awesome! With this positive experience, I will return for further problems with Kudo.

The staff is very attentive and professional, wonderful caring people. However, if you are not comfortable paying at least $100-200 for regular vaccinations then seek elsewhere. I have taken my pup for all his shots about 4 separate times and spent usually $150. A neuter costs $400. I will be taking him somewhere else that charges half that. No reason such a routine necessary surgery should cost DOUBLE everywhere else in Wichita. That being said if you are very comfortable financially I absolutely recommend using them! I do trust them and they are fantastic with my pup.

I cannot thank you all enough for all the help with my dogs. The staff is amazing. Seriously. Everyone there is happy and just full of energy just like our pups! The new office is very nice with more room to sit and wait for your turn. And the pricing is VERY reasonable. Overall, definitely a 5 star across the board.

The veterinarians and staff at Oakcrest have been wonderful to us and our pets. From helping us through the process of having a pet in kidney failure and having to put him to sleep, to surgeries and normal routine office visits for shots, they have been caring, compassionate and able to answer all of our questions. After having a previous care at another vet office, I wouldn't go anywhere but Oakcrest now. I am thankful that they were recommended to us and I would recommend them to anyone who genuinely cares for their pet's health and happiness.

Dr. Rafferty has gone above and beyond in some diagnosing for our dog. the entire staff was absolutely amazing when my cat got sick through all of the diagnosing and exams. worked with me on getting her in so quickly and just being so caring for her through everything. Dr. Bruner and Dr. Rafferty were very supportive in allowing me to attempt different treatments from home instead of having her hospitalized. the entire staff was amazingly supportive after she was diagnosed terminal in giving me all of my options for her end of life care and supporting our decision to allow her to pass at home. I've taken 4 different animals there and will continue to bring every pet we own to them. our pets are just like our children, they deserve the best and they get the best!

I rescued a dog from the Kansas Humane Society and Oakcrest was one of the partner pet hospitals on their paperwork. My daughter had a very sick kitten and she received excellent care and treatment through Oakcrest. She said I should give them a try. She also said that our family vet from years ago is at Oakcrest and I would be happy with the team. The day I made an appointment to get treatment for my new friend, the computer system was experiencing problems and the usual day to day routine was not working. Everyone at Oakcrest was pleasant, professional, helpful and caring. Even though the routine was disrupted and nothing was as it should be, I could see the team dynamic and the care given my furry friend even when things were not going smoothly. The team was writing things down to transfer them to their usual paperless system and I received a follow-up call the next day to check on the progress of my dog. I will be taking my family pets to Oakcrest.

I was impressed with the fact they were open on Saturday. My kitty had an abcess on his neck. It was painfull to him. We would have had to wait till Monday. But oakcrest was open on Saturday and they were able to get him in. He came home that same day feeling good and no pain. I am impressed.

When we had to put our dog down, Oak Crest was amazing. We went back and forth on whether or not to put him down, and they were accommodating to our indecisiveness. Someone was waiting for us by the door and walked us to the back room, where they had tissues ready and chairs for us to sit in with an exit through the back for when it was over. Dr. Bruner and the techs were amazing and empathetic. Love Oak Crest!!

I had a great experience here and would recommend it - the staff was great and super friendly. They really put me at ease when i was going for a spay surgery for 2 puppies. The reason they did not get all 5 stars is that both of my girls got minor infections (13days after surgery) at the incision site due to the knot of the dissolvable stitches. I had to pay for the follow up visit. After taking antibiotics for a week they are both healing very nicely. They did take me with no appointment as soon as I showed up. Overall, I do still recommend them and the minor infections scared me but ended up being treated quickly.

Due to the Excellent care they gave her we had her for 15yrs and 5months which is old for a dog of her bred. I always feared the day that my old Pitbull would have to leave this world to go to doggy heaven. I called at 6:30 at night letting them know what was going on, and all of the staff came in early for us. My eyes were full of tears as I came in carrying my best friend of many years. I am so impressed and appreciative with receptionist answered the phone. Dr. Johnnie Brunner and Dr. Christy Rafferty have treated our two Carin Terriers, Dandy and Tess, for approximately 10 years. They are knowledgeable, professional, have taken a sincere interest in our fur kids, and shown an incredible amount of compassion toward them. Our Dandy developed Epilepsy at 19-months old, plus severe allergies and skin problems several years ago. In other words, there have been numerous office visits to Oakcrest. Never once have we had a poor experience. Contrarily, we have found all four Veterinarians, and the entire Oakcrest support staff to be compassionate caregivers. On December 19, 2016, Dr. Brunner helped us say our final good-bye to 12-year old Dandy. He was extremely understanding of the emotional pain we were in, but did not hesitate to assure us that Dandy was dying, and it was time to let him do so without any more pain or delay. Just yesterday, we received notice that Oakcrest has made a living memorial to the Arbor Day Foundation, in Dandy's name. Naturally, the tribute is not a replacement for our Dandycrossed, but it does ease the void of his loss just a bit. I would highly recommend Oakcrest to anyone with a fur kid of their own.

We had an emergency with one of our dogs after two of our dogs got into a fight. Our normal Vet was not able to fit her in, but Oakcrest fit her in on short notice, and they called the following day to check up on her! We will be using Oakcrest from now on!
