Ive been bringing my pets to Florissant Animal Hospital for years, and I will continue as well. They have excellent customer service, informative, and always wants what's best for my pets. They always recommend, suggest, or let you lean on your own understanding when it comes to preventive care. The staff is very friendly and courteous. If I could give them more stars, I would. Definitely recommend!

My dog has been there 3 or 4 times now and I've been very pleased with the level of care, service, and knowledge. The staff are very helpful and willing to answer all of my questions. They're also very caring to my dog and they all obviously care about animals very much, that it's much more than just a job to them. The staff are very conscientious about following up, whether it's needing a same day appointment or checking on the patient. Honestly, I can't say enough good things.

I had to bring my cat in for a lump on his side he was a little apprehensive and wouldn't go in the carrier so I had to carry him in in a blanket. The staff was very helpful and understanding and helped me with the paperwork and got my cat settled in a room waiting for the vet. The assistant and the vet were very good with him he was so calm when they were examining him and doing his biopsy I was very pleased with the service I received

Update: August 2022 I have been bringing my pets to Florissant Animal Hospital for more than 10 years now and I can't say enough about the staff and especially about my dogs doctor, Dr. Klotz. She is so AMAZING with animals and the only doctor I trust with my Maximilian. Dr K. is patient, gentle, caring, understanding, smart as hell and we (my dog my husband and myself) just Love her. I recommend this hospital to any pet parent that is serious about the well-being of their precious animal.

My visit was great. First of all I was a client of Banfield Pet Hospital through Pets Mart for my dogs. I found Florissant Animal Hospital to be more responsive and more eager to assist with my pets. When calling to make an appointment for a sick visit or doing it online you are in the next day or two. I appreciate you serving us.

I was very pleased with how Dr. Parr treated my cat. I brought her in as a new patient with a concern of her persistent diarrhea she had been having. Other vets can be overly aggressive with cats, but not here. They took their time with her and let her get comfortable so that my cat was not traumatized with the visit. I really felt like they listened to my concerns and walked me through the possibilities. They took costs into consideration and openly discussed prices with me ahead of time. In the past other vets have jumped to the most expensive tests first without first ruling out simple possibilities of what may be wrong, I appreciated Florissant Animal Hospital not doing this. I will definitely be looking to set up my other pets as patients here.

We have a huge German Shepherd with anxiety issues about the vet. Dr Sullivan made sure our boy was able to have a vet visit & everything he needed done without him having a meltdown. They provided us a mild sedative before we went & gave him something when we got there so he was able to snooze away his visit & come home relaxed. Their prices were more than reasonable, they discussed everything with us before doing it & made sure we were all in agreement on our plan of action. I highly recommend them, they’re the best around!!

Love how there is a separate dog and cat entrance and lobby. Though I have both canine and feline, the cat appreciates the peace. The Doctors and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. You can see clearly that they all love animals! Highly recommend FLOAH!

Thank you to Dr. McDermott, Dr. Parr and all the Staff at Florissant Animal Hospital for taking such good care of my Border Collie Betty. Two minor surgeries on the same day and the results were all we could have hoped for. The cost was was exactly as projected, so no surprises. I have been a client of FAH for 20 years, covering 5 different dogs and 1 cat. They are wonderful.

I still use them for annual shots but I quit taking them for grooming first off they need boardatella shot which I understand now they need a flu shot to. I asked if the staff had flu shots with not much of an answer I guess if I go there and get the flu from one of the staff that's ok but let's protect the dogs. Imo another expense as if 1400 dollar teeth cleaning isn't enough I say rediculous.

Our groomer Jennifer is amazing with our furdaughter Jazz!! Jazz always leaves looking beautiful and smelling great. Her coat is always shining and she is so happy!! Jennifer always clips her nails but always insures she doesn't go too low to hurt her. Amazing job always!!

I took my 22 year old cat Felicia in on 09/10 for her yearly checkup and vaccinations. With her being so old, of course she had some other issues that needed to be looked at. Dr. McDermott was very gentle and attentive to her. I also had bad heartburn that day, and one of the assistant nurses gave me a Tums capsule. Always love taking our dog Angel there and she actually enjoys it too. I know she is in great hands whether we are getting treatment/regular checkups or boarding for a period of time. I have taken her there for about 5+ years now. Staff is always so great and friendly. Boarding rates are great compared to some other places. Would definitely recommend.

Five star service. Haven't been to the vet with my little guy since moving to the florissant area. These pros did a great job making me feel comfortable while they helped my dog. Great social distancing. You sit in your car and call them to check in. Then when you appointment is ready one of the attendants comes out to get you. Limit one pet parent inside. Very happy with my experience.

Great practice! My dog Ellie is comfortable there and they are all very kind. The vets are quick, answer any questions, and are great with my fur baby. They also have grooming and boarding, which I have yet to use but I would be comfortable taking her there for grooming services in the future. I asked about grooming cost and it's a great price in comparison to what I've seen for quotes in the area. Vet appointments can be pricey, but they are pricey everywhere and Florissant Animal Hospital is competitive with others in the area.

Amazing staff. So kind and informative when it comes to the care of your pet. They go above and beyond when it comes to procedures. So much more than any animal hospital I've ever taken my pets to. It's so obvious that everyone who works there absolutely loves animals and not just tolerates the, big plus for me. Their prices may be a little more than I've had at other clinics, but, by far, their services are worth every penny.

Years ago I brought one of my cats to Dr. Klotz. Other vets, even one specializing in cats, could not find out what was wrong with her. Within minutes of her eating (regardless of what I feed her) she would throw up the food. Dr, Klotz immediately new what the problem was and placed her on a specialized food. The issue was solved. I have also brought other pets there and felt that the treatment was excellent and the staff very empathetic. We bring all three of our animals to Florissant Animal Hospital. On this visit, May 27, 2015, we brought our dog and one of our cats for their annual check-ups. As usual, the staff and doctor were great! Dr. Jean examined them. She was gentle and put them both at ease. They were both declared healthy with the exception of our dog Daisy. She had an anal gland infection. We were given medication and scheduled a follow-up appointment for two weeks. All services were rendered in a timely and friendly manner. Keep up the great work!

Love all the veterinarians and staff at Florissant Animal Hospital. We had to rush in a neighborhood cat that had been beaten up pretty bad and they took excellent care of him. They are well organized and really care about our pets. Also love that they have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs. They have later hours which really helps when you work as much as we do. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have been bringing my cat here for a little less than a year. I find the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. They help me get my cat in on short notice. The veterinarians are friendly, and gentle with my cat. They provide helpful advice to help keep my cat healthy. I also find the service speedy; we don't sit in the waiting room very long. I also like how the cats and dogs have separated waiting rooms. It helps keep my cat calm. I can't recommend this place enough.

Since the first day I brought in my oldest puppy Irish over 9 months ago till my last visit with my youngest puppy Bailey; they have been absolutely fantastic. Helpful, friendly, understanding, knowledgeable, and willing to assist any way they can. I've had many pets in my life and lived in different places. The vets I've experienced in the past will never compare. Dr Parr is amazing with my girls and they love her even though she gives them shots. She always follows up with the treats.

We use Florissant Animal Hospital, specifically Dr. Kuhn, regularly and have been very happy with their dedication and willingness to contact specialist and make sure our pups get the top of the line care. Last week, we got to see them in a whole new light. My service dog, a 9 year old Labrador Retriever, went in to bloat. Bloat is absolutely a medical emergency. After recognizing the symptoms at home, we called FAH and let them know we were coming. They met us at the door and took Woody directly to the backroom to assess and help him. They were able to decompress some of the air in his stomach which returned blood flow to his digestive track saving his life and allowing us to get him to surgery with no permanent damage. We are so grateful for the emergency care and their willingness to go the extra mile to save my Woody. Everyone at Florissant Animal Hospital is there for the right reason, they love and want to care for our pets.

I absolutely love Florissant Animal Hospital. The staff are always so friendly and compassionate. I always see Dr. Harlen or Dr. Kuhn. I feel as though they genuinely care about the well-being of my animals--even when they come to their appointments with an attitude (my pets, not the doctors ha ha). Something that is really important to me is how nice the receptionists are, even if they are completely swamped in paperwork, phone calls, and check-ins. They have always been supportive for any issue, especially making decisions regarding quality of life issues. I have seen Dr. Angela Parr for most of those 20 years. She has always been very professional & knowledgeable with any issue. It's very apparent that she cares deeply for her patients & always knows all my dogs by names, even the ones not receiving services at the visit. I have had others tell me that FLOAH is "too expensive", but I always tell the that I have confidence in the medical & support staff to provide the absolute best care and support for my dogs & I through the many years I have taken my "children" there.

I've been taking my pets to this animal hospital for over 20 years. We have since moved out of the area, but we continue and will continue to travel to take our pets to be seen by the staff at the hospital. The office staff is very helpful and friendly and we absolutely love Dr Parr. She's world class, caring, informed, everything that you wish your own doctor was lol. I always joke if I could have her for my dr I would :) If you are looking for a vet this is THE ONE that you want to go to. If you have an emergency, they are very quick to react and get you in to see a doctor. I've lost pets over the years, and the staff has always treated my pets (alive, or passed (ashes)) with genuine care. We will continue to bringing our pets to this hospital. We just adopted 2 new boy's and they will have their appointment to meet Dr Parr and the staff when their shots are due. I really enjoy the care and compassion that Florissant Animal Hospital provides for my dog, my best friend, King. King is very shy around new people and doesn't let anyone too close to him but here the staff are very friendly and patient with him and he warms up to the staff a lot quicker then anywhere else I have taken him to. I also feel very confident in the care that they provide him with. The Doctors really know what they are talking about and are very informative in telling me what they are doing, why they have to do it, and what needs to be done, if any, on my part. With all that being said I will not go anywhere else to get King what he needs because at Florissant Animal Hospital King feels safe and that's all that matters when it comes to dog, my best friend . Florissant Animal Hospital has been our source for quality veterinary care since we moved to this area in 1999. The office staff is wonderful.... friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. The doctors are absolutely the best. Although we've only dealt with Dr. Parr, I would not hesitate to see any of the other doctors if necessary. Taking our furkids anywhere else just ain't gonna happen. Dr. Parr rocks!

Sent her back to me with a week of anti- inflamatory meds and no diagnosis info. When i called a few days later with a question was told I had to make another appointment to get the answer. We have taken our dogs (and other pets on occasion) to Dr Parr for more than 20 years, and have never had a negative experience with either her or anyone else at the Florissant Animal Hospital. We recently had to put one of our dogs down, and the staff was beyond sympathetic, going so far as to send us a condolence card the following week, as well as a plaster cast of her pawprint (something we had not expected, and treasure). Ordinary office visits are also positive experiences, with the staff projecting positivity and a sense of real interest in your animal and their happiness and health. The doctors take the time to actually talk to you and listen, as well as accepting emergency patients so sometimes appointments run a few minutes behind. At most, we were once delayed roughly half an hour while the staff cared for a dog that had been struck by a car, which ultimately is what you (the prospective patient) want; prompt knowledgeable treatment available when the unthinkable happens. Florissant Animal Hospital also offers boarding services at what seems a reasonable rate (though given the trust required in leaving your pet in another's care I admit to not having done an extensive price comparison on the matter), as well as excellent grooming (hair, nails, etc.). All factors considered, Florissant Animal Hospital is everything I could ask for in a veterinary clinic.

Recently just had our first meet & greet / well visit with Dr. Klotz and we loved her right away! Very knowledgeable and answered every question we had. She suggested that we bring our Jersey girl to the vet every once in awhile so she would get used to the staff and no be afraid of them (since she is a rescue and at the first visit she was very timid). I have been taking my special needs cats to Dr. Marquardt for several years (my childhood pets also went there when I was growing up, but that was long before Dr. Marquardt). She and the staff are very caring, and Dr. Marquardt is very willing to listen to my input and ideas (as I do a great deal of research on feline nutrition, disease, testing, treatment, etc.) She always takes as much time as necessary and I never feel rushed, and she is very patient with my problem child (Tillie). My eldest girls go in for testing 4 times a year, and Dr. Marquardt made a schedule for them to maximize the value for my dollar. I have taken my dog to Florissant animal hospital since we got her. They are always nice and informative. She went in to be spayed. There is 1 thing I would ask for. I didn't leave my dog over night because no one stays with them. I would ask for a change in that. 1 person should be there to make sure they are ok. That shouldn't cost too much, but would give owners a peace of mind to know they are not alone in case of an emergency. Especially after that kind of surgery.
