An amazing vet clinic! They’re very accommodating. My dog doesn’t do so great with other dogs and they work with me to make sure their lobby is clear of other dogs and a room is available for us to go directly into. The vets and techs treat my dog so caring and and gentle, they answer questions without making you feel dumb and they provide the best care!

Best vet clinic in town. I started going here after adopting my most recent cat a few years ago at the recommendation of my partner who has taken his dog here for years. I've had many pets in my life and no other vet seems as consistently compassionate and caring for each pet they see. Visits are always quick, and I greatly appreciate that they have sperate entrances for cats and dogs, as past vets I've been to didn't and it would stress mine and others' pets out.

Have been here on several occasions with my pets. The clinic always seems to do good work for our pets and we have never had any issues. I feel the clinic is competitive with the price of services compared to some other places I've taken my pets to. I enjoyed meeting the little three legged greeter kitty on the cat side ( which is another nice thing about this place when you walk in you either take the door to the right if you are bringing in a cat or take the door to the left if you're bringing in a dog I think this makes it less stressful on some animals that way ).

I read negative comments first before giving my review. I have been with Heather Ridge & Dr. Anderson since the practice opened. This past week I had a cat in for routine vaccinations. My appt. was the last of the day. Yes they were running behind, but I feel that my cat was well evaluated and cared for very nicely and still had time to ask questions. In the past I have had a cat the reacted to a vaccine after receiving this same vaccine for years. I left her at the clinic to be monitored while I went to work. I was not charged for the extra treatment. The following year, my cat did not have the vaccine thought to be the culprit. The cat reacted again, thus time worse than the prior year. We were at the vet for 2 hours. Again I didn't have to pay for the extra treatment. I have been with another clinic in town. They did not tell me when my cat had kidney failure. I have been to the emergency hospital several times. My last several times were not positive. I took my dog in with breathing problems during the middle of the night. She was diagnosed with heart failure & sent home with $85 worth of medications. I took her to see Dr. Anderson later the same day to find she had a mass in her chest putting pressure on her heart & lungs. Medications were not going to make a difference. Everyone has different experiences. I may have had some I didn't like as much. I respect my vet & the staff so will continue to bring my pets here.

I've been taking my pets to this clinic for years and they have been wonderful. Dr. Anderson helped me manage my senior dog's lymphoma, and when it was time to say my final good-bye to him, she was so gentle and supportive. The staff is always friendly and professional. Connie, the groomer, does a wonderful job with my Pomeranian. And the three-legged office kitty is adorable. Love this clinic so much!

I'm so happy I stumbled across this vet! I decided to go here because they quoted me the best price for a neuter after calling about 5 places in town, but now I'm staying for not only the prices but the atmosphere and care they gave my cat. She actually didn't mind the vet this time which is big for her (she can be a bit feisty around strangers). They have separate cat/dog entrances, windows in the room that overlook a birdfeeder, bird noises in the room, calming diffuser, and much more. They actually gave my cat a thorough vet exam when my old vet would do the bare minimum of giving her the required shots.

They have a whole separate part for the cats that was great to me! I have taken my cat Raven to other vets and she never got the care that she needed due to her being a little to irritable at the vet. The vet here were so great put my mind at ease and gave me a call with results. I have not gotten service like this for her! I'd definitely recommend them

I have two dogs and have now taken them both to this clinic. This place is the best!! My first experience was a teeth clean. My dog had some pretty bad build up and in the initial exam they said most likely a back tooth will need to be extracted. However, I got a call once my dog was finished and the vet said they saved it! Now my second dog got a UTI recently and I was able to get her in the day we noticed the blood in her urine and we started meds at a very reasonable price that night! They don't overcharge, they don't try and sell you on unnecessary and expensive steps, and they are all so nice to talk to and be around. Love this place only vet I'm going to.

I love how they treat both my boys like their own. we had an issue with our dog Dakota In January he had a tumor on his spleen that ruptured. they performed surgery and saved our baby boy. Fast forward to Sunday night we noticed Dakota had lost the very tip of his tail later on he had a seizure not sure why but both issues were not connected. He got to go see one of his favorite vets dr. hillbrant the one who did his surgery prior and she again took such good care of him and gave great advice in case he has seizures again. this place is 100% about their furry patients!

I’m very happy I found a great Veterinary to care for my dogs in Sioux Falls. When I arrived to my appointment there was no waiting. The waiting rooms were nice and clean. The front staff were very nice. The Vet and the technicians were also nice and kind to both me and my dogs. I have a German Shepherd and a large Standard Poodle which were seen at the same time. What I liked was that the Vet examined the dogs and gave them their vaccinations right in the examining room with me. This made the dogs less frightened of the Vet experience. We recently moved to the Sioux Falls area from So. California. The veterinary care at Heather Ridge Pet Hospital is so much better than our veterinary experiences in California.

Took my dog here as he had been very itchy and smelly following a trip to a groomer. I took him to my regular vet first who completely brushed of as no big deal and did a very brief and poor examination . Fast forward 2 weeks later and my co-worker referred me here and I was very impressed with both doctors. Not only did they get my dog fixed up in 1 visit which is rare with a skin disorder but they did such a great job of actually examining my dog and answering my questions. I was worried about the cost of a vet in Sioux falls but found their services to be very reasonable. Thank you so much for getting my dog feeling better you had made a client for life!

The staff is wonderful and I couldn't imagine taking my pets to any other clinic. They are extremely flexible with bringing your pet in (sometimes at the last minute or in an emergency) and you are really getting he best care in town. I have tried a few other places that weren't bad, but never felt I got the same level of care as I did at Heather Ridge.

This place is AMAZING. I recently adopted a dog with teeth issues and I took her here. No one at the clinic pushed me to do anything extra on my dog that I didn't want done. ( a problem I have had in the past with previous vets basically acting as human product promotional pamphlets). They were extremely gentle with my dog and removed her bad teeth and the teeth she still has are SUPER white and clean. VERY affordable. I have been going to vets long enough througout my life that I can identify a good clinic, and this place is it!

This is a very high quality vet clinic. Service for both cats and dogs and very easy to set up an appointment. Most appointments (checkups) don’t take longer than 10-15 minutes, which is very convenient if you need to squeeze in an appointment on a busy day. Always recommend to new pet owners.

Both Vets at Heather Ridge Pet hospital are outstanding. I recently was blessed with being able to get a dog for the first time in twenty years. They take the time to answer all of my questions and provide pretty good guidance on raising the dog. They are also handle my dog wonderful and have given her shots that the dog doesn't even notice. It could be the treats she is inhaling though. I would recommend them for all pet medical needs.

Very helpful; they diagnosed our dog with diabetes. They took the time to explain what it was, and how to care for him. He went from barely alive to five star tail-wagging after a couple of weeks. Also, they showed concern and sensitivity toward our little cat who passed away a few months ago. She was pretty old, and the treatment they provided extended her life with quality.

We noticed my pup was starting to cough on sunday, called first thing monday morning to get her to the vet, and she was in before the afternoon was over and diagnosed with Kennel cough! I'm literally still in the exam room, not finished with my visit, and I'm already blown away by how accommodating and helpful this office and Dr. Kaufman have been. I'm passing through South Dakota on a cross country move to Louisiana. I had a vet emergency regarding my cat. They took my concerns seriously and made sure Ghost was taken care of. They covered all the bases and fit us in at the last minute. This move has been so stressful, but Dr. Kaufman took her time listening to my sleep-deprived rambling and has me feeling confident that my cat will be comfortable and well during the remainder of our road trip. I cannot say enough good things about Heather Ridge. We had 11 extra years with our Dachshund andcwhen it came time to put him down, Dr. Anderson was right there with us. She got us in when we knew it was time to put him down even though it was a crazy hectic day. All of the vets are straight forward, give you options, and don't try to upsell or give unnecessary tests. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I took my four year old Maine Coon kitty in today for her left leg because she has been limping. Mopsy (my kitty) was NOT happy when I walked her through the door but about halfway through her appointment she was rolling around on her back like a happy kitty.
