Amazing! Dr. Heather Carlson went above and beyond to help our cat this is the first time any vet has ever put so much thought in options for our cat. Emailed us viable options explained in detail so we could understand what she was talking about. I'm beyond impressed 👏 I will definitely be recommending the All City Pet Care on South Minnesota! Wow what awesome service best experience we have ever had with our cat. They also did an amazing job at the ER with our other cat he's healthy as ever thanks to the staff that helped him. We are so grateful! Thanks again!

All City Pet Care took such good care of us over the weekend when we were watching a friend’s dog. The dog got into stuff in our garage and we weren’t sure what to do. We called the clinic and received good information, they even shared an article explaining the effects. We took the dog in and he was well cared for in a timely manner. All of the staff was friendly and answered all our questions. We were sent home with good instructions and were able to return the dog to its owner heathy and well at the end of the weekend. We were so grateful for the help!

I visited the emergency vet clinic on 1/27/2023. I was very impressed and very happy with the service I received. I waited for 3 hours, which is a LONG time. However, it is an ER. This tells me that the staff was focused on triaging and making sure that the pets received the care they need and deserved by order of need and I respect that. My 16 year old pug needed care that couldn't wait for an appointment but I know their were pets that needed care quicker. Dr Huddle was AMAZING. I am highly considering switching vets because of her care and how she interacted with me about my dog. The techs that worked with us were equally amazing. I cannot remember their specific names, which I apologize for. I think it was Angie and Tanya. One of them got my old and admittedly diva man a dog bed and blanket to lay on while we were waiting and I really appreciated it. I can't speak highly enough of the team and how they worked together and appreciated everything.

It is a blessing to have an emergency vet office open 24/7! It was early morning (5:30 am) on a Sunday when we rushed our dog in to the pet hospital. The staff was very calm, kind and caring. Our dogs assessment by the vet tech and Dr. As well as proposed plan of treatment was pulled together and presented to us in about 10-15 minutes. Our dog was discharged at 5:30 that night rather than having to stay 24 hours. A big thank you to the doctor/surgeon and staff for caring for Maya while there. Thanks to the staff and Doctor for keeping calm and so informative! It is very comforting to know 24/7 service is close and available, if needed. Highly recommend All City Pet Hospital & ER on S. Minnesota Avenue. Thank you for all you do!

At first, I was put off a little when I arrived, after a 1.5hr drive, that the wait was 2 hours with only two other people in the waiting room. I gave them my information and went back to my vehicle only to be called 5 minutes later, which was a relief and surprise. I went in with the 8.5week old puppy and was taken directly to an exam room. Vitals were taken by a tech and the doctor had come in shortly and was very thorough and explained things in a manner that was easy to understand. Within 30 minutes we were all done and left with the medications needed (a bit pricey but convenient). Overall, the staff was great, the facility was nice and clean, the cost wasn't overly expensive. I'd recommend the facility for emergency vet care!!

For this being an emergency vet, there seemed to be zero rush to help those of us waiting. From the time I arrived to when I was actually put in a room, it was 2.5 hours. There was animals who were bleeding, another with a wide open gash along chest and armpit, and these dogs waited just as long. Seemed to be no rush to care for the animals who were worse off than we were. When we did finally get put in a room, the vet tech was great. Dr. Fiedler was amazing when she came in. Very attentive and caring. Zero complaints with the actual care we received. My wish is that they had more than one doctor working, or even able to be called in, when they have a wait of over 2+ hours and a waiting room full of animals.

Great in a pinch; But understand, they're the only pet ER for hours.. It's $120-160 just to be seen, even without treatment. They're professional and knowledgeable, but expensive. If your pet can wait a few days, Horizon and Companion Animal are excellent alternatives. When your pet needs treatment now, thank God we have All City south. Keep up the good work.

This Emergency Vet is the BEST! I was traveling home to WA with my dog when she developed an eye infection. All City Pet Care and their awesome staff were amazing. We were checked in and seen within minutes on a Friday evening. Treatment and meds were very reasonably priced. We were back on the road with medicine and peace of mind in under an hour!

Our dog stayed for a week at their hospital. The staff was so friendly and nice, and the vets called us twice a day with updates about our dog. My dog was treated really well. Incredible Drs and assistants!. The front office could work on it a little. Unfortunately this was our third emergency obstruction surgery with our boy. Dr. Carlson and her staff were amazing! She is so knowledgeable, skilled, empathetic and compassionate. She has always taken time to explain our options and answer any, all questions that we have had. I moved from Charlotte, NC and had the BEST, most compassionate, educated veterinarian for over 20 years (having a lot of experience with animals myself) I’m very critical when it comes to my “pets” care. In all my years I’ve never had an animal have an obstruction, much less three! Dr. Carlson has never passed judgement or made us feel like we’re being irresponsible owners. I highly recommend All City Pet Care for ALL of your pet’s needs!

My dog got into a fight with a possum and needed to go to the ER. They only needed $120 upfront, which was cheaper than I expected. We only had to wait a few minutes and once in the room it was only a few more minutes until the Doctor checked him out. They run good care of my puppy dog!

As soon as I arrived I was met with smiles but not in the most pleasant way, it was as if they were not taking my concerns seriously. I do look young for my age and I had my younger brother with me and he mentioned after we sat down that the two ladies started whispering to each other and that it felt as if they were talking about us. I also had to drop off my brother quickly as the wait time was 3-4 hours long and he did not want to stay the full time (he had prior engagements). So when I mentioned to the staff that I had to drop him off quickly (I was probably gone for 30 minutes) I was given an irritated look and a bit of attitude that rubbed me the wrong way before I dropped him off. Apart from that the nurse and doctor that looked at my pet were really nice and reassured my concerns about my pets health.

I took my Boston terrier Doc to the emergency pet care on Saturday. She had been sick off and on for a few months with diarrhea and then began to have blood in it. The diagnosis prior to this had been PLE which is protein losing enderopathy. We have done several different medications for it and I pretty much knew the outcome was not going to be good. They were very kind and loving and understanding and through with their explanations. They went over what would further have to be invested money wise to get a exact diagnosis which is something I can't afford. There was not as long of a wait as I thought there would be they are fast and efficient and would highly recommend them to anyone. And I understand there is nothing more that can be done at this point but to keep her comfortable as I can

You guys saved Alice's life. One of our farm cats was attacked in the barn a week ago and these amazing people handled the situation with fervor and grace. She's been eating and moving around a lot more since she got home a few days ago. I thought it necessary to leave a note of this experience on here. Staff was very kind and knowledgeable. The vet took the time to explain the physical exam results, review the X ray images with me, and explain the treatment plan/medications. Pain control was a priority. He also caught an incidental ear infection and got us started on treatment for that.

Paid $120 for the "emergency vet fee" only to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes and counting with my dog choking in the lobby while all of the staff talk about food trucks and how they want to go to break. No noticeable system of help and even people waiting in the private rooms were not seen. Once we were able to get into a room our vet and vet tech were both every kind, empathetic, and helpful. They changed my whole experience and I really appreciated their time and help.

Very good care, the wait time was a little slow, about an hour and a half but the front desk workers verbalized it was due to shift change and that that can cause some slowing down and were very explanatory. I also liked that they helped defer care by talking to the patient and helping them know when to bring an animal in or if it was necessary for them to be seen as at one point the wait time was 2-3 hours. Once we got in the room, it was very time efficient and the doctors explained very well what the plan of care was.

The staff truly cares for the well being of my 11 year old Shihtzu. I chose to have my pup stay overnight and be monitored while getting at IV fluid and his heart medication given. I’m so thankful they gave updates on my dog every 12 hours or so. Their attention to care and wellbeing of animals is worth recognizing as my dog is my registered ESA since I was 12. They sent him home with medications and appetite stimulants which has helped TREMENDOUSLY. Thank you everyone at All City!

I have only positive things to say about this clinic. The vets and techs are great at communicating exactly what is going on with your pet and do a great job of developing a care plan. When I was younger, both of my family dogs had multiple night stays at this vet, where they received amazing care. I now have my own puppy, and I chose to come here to have her spayed even though it meant driving an hour to the clinic for the appointments. I think so highly of this vet, and am so grateful for all of the quality care they give.

I brought my 8 month old kitten in as he was close to death due to severe anemia. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful and I could tell they truly cared about my baby. They called to update me on how he was doing after his blood transfusion multiple times each day he was in their care. He pulled through and is home now, and I am so grateful for all of the kindness and amazing care that was giving to my kitten and me throughout this entire process.

The staff are always so kind and friendly in this facility. We did two visits recently because one of my bunnies was sick, and even though they couldn’t find exactly what was wrong with her, the vet that saw my bunny was very kind and sweet. She told us from the beginning that she was not an expert in rabbit care; nevertheless, she educated us on the different ailments that could’ve been affecting my bunny. My bunny, unfortunately, did not survive; however, the nurses and veterinarian doctor in this facility were very kind, very compassionate, very friendly, and super understanding of our pain. I will definitely take my pets back to this place if needed.

Dr. Fiedler was very thorough at explaining everything that was going on with our doodle and what our next 24-48 hours looked like. She was patient with us and answered all of our questions. We received updates from both of them as promised every 12 hours. It would take too much space to express how wonderful the care that our Shadow received! We were traveling from Georgia when Shadow seemed to be having a problem. We got him to All Ciy. From the moment we walked through the door they knew the seriousness of Shadown’s condition and immediately took him for x—rays which diagnosed that his stomach had flipped. Within a couple of hours, he was in surgery. They kept in constant touch with us with updates. Shadow received amazing care and is on the mend! Thanks you does not even begin to cover it but it is all we can say! May God’s blessings be on each and every one of you wonderful people at All City!

I took our beloved cat here today who was very ill. The staff was very quick/willing to answer questions, very kind and caring towards both myself and our cat, and explained everything very well. Unfortunately, our cat had to be put down, but the staff was extremely caring and respectful of the entire situation. They offered the free service of mailing the pets inked paw prints to your address, which is very kind. The bill was expensive of course, but all charges made sense and were expected in a ER visit. Thank you to all the staff, especially to our vet that helped us find answers and was with us through the euthanasia process the entire time. All of your kindness and respect will not be forgetten.

When visiting the emergency hospital I have experienced varying wait times. The front desk has always been incredible to me and my old girl. When it came time to say goodbye to my Tazzy and no other vet was available for a final evaluation Doctor Heidi Hanson and her team were there. And even through my sobs of despair they were patient and kind and gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye. I am forever grateful for their staff and their care

Been taking my dogs here for over 10 years. I have one dog that always has health issues. They are the most kind and helpful. I attempted one other location once and the services aren't comparible. I won't go anywhere else. Update: after experiencing the loss of a pet I can't suggest this place enough. How they handle euthanasia and loss of a furry family member is absolutely amazing. The support and care they give during the process...I am absolutely grateful.

All City was wonderful with my dog (and me as I was very emotional) when I brought my dog in with pain. They assessed her, gave us medications, and we were in and out relatively quickly. I felt as if they had listen to my concerns and so far the doggo has been getting better. I had also heard horror stories about how it was expensive to use the emergency vet and I felt like it was not at all what I was expecting, much more affordable.

Recently had an appointment for Liliths knees. Dr. Heitman took time to explain her knees, and what was going on. She will need surgery to fix the tear in them. I never feel rushed, and always enjoy the doctors. I know the wait times for the ER can be frustrating, but I'm honestly happy I'm not the pet parent who had to be rushed back because my pet is in a critical way. If we need the ER, I'll bring treats and headphones so I can watch a movie and keep Lilith from getting too bored. Thanks for all you do!

The entire staff from the receptionists to the veterinarians were respectful and kind. They listened to my concerns and answered my questions when I brought my cat in for emergency care. When we brought our dog Loki to the ER they came out to the car and got him. Brought him straight to the back to assess him. He did end up spending the night. I was impressed with all the follow up phone calls keeping us involved in his care. They even helped in finding him a place to have surgery sooner rather than later. I was impressed with the estimates they gave when we left for the night. Spot on so no surprises when we came and got him. I would 100% recommend these guys again.

My initial visit with them wasn't the greatest. I'm from out of town but brought my kitten with me and he was very sick so I brought him in. We were there for over 4 hours and didn't get any solid answers for $350. However, the vet called me back 2 days later and let me know that my kitten had a good chance of having FIP. He died late that night. I brought him back in and they took good care of him and were very compassionate about it, even gave me paw and nose prints to remember him by.

First took my best friend of 18 years to them in his time of need and they helped with his passing. Couldn't thank the staff enough for what they did for him to make him comfortable. Adopted 2 kittens on Saturday Sunday they weren't feeling well and I'm thankful for them to be open. The small fee you pay up front is nothing to compare to have to watch your pets be in pain. They took great care of my 12 month old puppy. They explained everything thoroughly and we went home knowing how to give our puppy her medicine and how to make her feel better. It has been 24 hours since our visit and our puppy is making good progress and we can tell she is already feeling much better. While it was a bit of a drive coming from Vermillion, they were very accommodating and we did have a long wait but expected it where its a first come first serve. Staff was really good about explaining to us why the long wait. Waiting room was spacious enough to be comfortable with nervous pets who need some space and not be crowded. Vet was very kind and patient with our nervous pet . We took our german shepherd to All City South when she suddenly became very ill. Our normal vet office was short a vet because it was Thanksgiving week and couldn't see us. They recommended All City pet care south. They were so kind and told us to bring her right in. Even though they were clearly busy they saw us. The Dr. stayed in contact with us frequently. We were sent home with chewable tablets for our dog and instructions to bring her back if she took a turn for the worse. That happened at 4AM the next day. We called and again we were told to bring her right in. We ultimately made the decision to put her down. The staff was very kind and comforting. They sent us home with her collar and her paw print made in clay. It was an excellent experience during a devastating time for our family. I can't say enough good things about every contact we had with all their staff. I highly recommend them for any of your vet care needs.

Our dog was transferred here from Sioux Nation. Our dog was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder and we had to take him back every week for rechecks. The staff was alway super courteous and friendly. There were a few times we had to wait a while even with having an appointment but I am not going to remove stars for that as the level or care made up for that. They also did not lead us on or recommend additional treatments that would have been costly. Sadly, after about a month our dog was no longer able to fight the disorder and we had to say goodbye to him. The staff did such an amazing job at letting us know how everything was going to work, what options we had, etc. I would definitely recommend and will bring our current and future pets here.

From out of town. My 12 year old male Shepherd became sick. Call them and was told to come in immediatey. Upon arrival, receptionist took all the vital info on him. Within 5 minutes a tech took him into an examination room. Within another 5 minutes he was examined by the doctor. Our dog got loose came back no asking right at all stiff then becoming limp. We took her to our local vet they took test her bp and heartrate were really low. She also had a temp. They ran iv and transferred us the All City. We go her here and her temp went from 104-106 along the route. When we got here they hooked her up and had a planned set up. They got her back to herself and kept us updated the whole time. We couldn't be anymore satisfied for them to fix our 8mo old puppy girl. They saved her and we could not be anymore grateful. They were open 24hrs and gave her around the clock care.

All City was able to fit him in for surgery that day, all I had to do was drive to South Dakota! (I live in Iowa.) They got him in, which was easy with spot numbers for their curbside pickup. He had surgery Saturday afternoon, and they called me with updates often. He's home now and doing so well. He even had his nail trimmed while there! I called this morning with a question and had a friendly woman help.me easily. I definitely would recommend All City!

I just moved to the area, and I had to bring my 12-week old Mini Goldendoodle to the ER and she was admitted. Without knowing any businesses in town, I was nervous to go to someone new. However, I had a very good experience. The vet (Heidi) was very nice, listened to me, and was very caring towards my puppy. She made sure I understood the plan of care, and was not pushy with treatments. They only did the necessary labs and treatment. It was nice that they gave you an estimate of what everything was going to cost before you agreed to everything. The vet techs and receptionists were very helpful and nice as well. We took our cat here late at night, at the recommendation of our regular vet. It was an emergency, though we didn't know what was wrong with her yet. Ultimately, she did not make it. However, they tried to save her and figure out the problem. During her 4 days in the hospital, the staff was overall very helpful and communicative. They even allowed us to visit late because we had to drive down from Brookings each night. Dr. Teachout admitted her, and he was the one who put her to sleep. We will always be grateful for his honesty and his respect for our cat. The vet techs were also compassionate and respectful. The compassion offered by the staff here made one of the hardest experiences of my life a little easier and we both will always be grateful for that. Thank you for letting us spend so much time with her before the end and thank you for trying to save our girl.

I had to have my 19 year old cat euthanized last night. It was a bit later in the evening when this occurred, around 9:00 p.m., so I thought it might be a "rougher:" experience than during the day because for some reason I thought the staff might not be as professional as the day crew. I have no reason why I thought that, but I did. I was completely wrong. Both the woman on phone who took the call and explained the process as well as the tech who came out and administered the shot to cause my cat to sleep were both terrific. They fully explained what would happen, and even though it was later in the evening and they had people lined up in the cold dark of night who needed their pets euthanized, they weren't stressed and they didn't act rushed. They were both calming, considerate, and most importantly, empathetic. It made the process much easier, and I greatly appreciated the professional way they conducted their business.

When my dog got injured we called to let them know we would be on our way. When we got there we waited 45 minutes in the car for someone to come out and get our dog. Then we waited another hour and 15 minutes to find out what they were going to be able to do for him. We left him there so he could have his mouth stitched up They called at about 3:30 in the morning and said he was done but they would like to keep them until about 4: 30 for him to come out of the anesthesia. We went at 4:40 and called them to let them know we were there, they said they would bring him right out and it was about 30 minutes before they did that. Our dog had excellent care it's just kind of slow service.

I have been taking both my cat and dog (both rescues) to see Dr. Heitman for over a year now. Last year, my cat broke her leg and Dr. Heitman worked with us over the course of several months to help her heal. He was patient, provided free follow ups, and was generally concerned about her wellness. He inquires about her every time I bring the dog in too. Both my pets have had strange skin issues, which Dr. Heitman has helped us resolve. He is also very patient with my high-strung pit bull, who is not overly appreciative of vaccinations. Whenever we have an issue, he explains what the problem is or could be, the varying options available to approach the issue, the costs and time involved in each, and which he would recommend. I have never once felt like he, or any of the staff, was "just interested in my money," they genuinely show care and know my individual animals. They always have a separate room ready and waiting for my very enthusiastic dog when we come in, since he doesn't do well just sitting in the waiting room. The entire staff has been friendly and accommodating of both my schedule and my very special animals. I appreciate all their efforts, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

During this COVID pandemic my cat had a traumatic injury occur that he unfortunately passed away from while at this hospital. However, the veterinarian was very kind and called multiple times giving updates on my cat's condition. I know they took care of him despite the unfortunate outcome. However I was not impressed with the front desk or admin person because she was very pushy for payment immediately despite me having lost my pet and in shock. I understand the importance of paying for services but being able to be sent a bill would have been more sympathetic, particularly after the loss of a pet.

Earlier this summer, my dog suffered from a ruptured spleen and went in for emergent surgery. The staff at All City was very diligent and caring. They gave us all the facts upfront and prepared us for the worst but did their best work. I never doubted that our dog, who is more our baby, was being treated like he was their own. I relocated to Sioux Falls less than a week ago. One of my little ones did not do too well in the move and starting having issues. I needed have her checked, but was not sure where to take her. I spent countless hours reviewing Vet Clinics in the area, including online reviews. All had good and bad. From my research, I decided on All City South. I am beyond glad I did! I was incredibly impressed with how thorough and knowledgeable Dr. Klatt was- even down to checking for any neurological issues/signs. Sam, vet tech, was just as impressive. The entire staff was kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. The affordability of the clinic was also a nice surprise. All City South will definitely be the new Veterinary Clinic for my little fur babies.

My dog was running and fell, he ruptured his bladder which we didn't know at the time. He needed emergency exploritory surgery to find the ruptured. He was filled with 2 liters of poison in his tummy. The doctor did x-rays and ultrasounds, and couldn't see problem. After doing blood tests to find EXTREMELY high numbers they decided it was a ruptured bladder. He went in at 3am and by 530am they called and said it was repaired. My boy is back home and doing super! He's back to his loving kissing happy go lucky self. I can't believe how fast things can happen and how bad they can be. Thank god they found the problem and my baby is back home! Thank you to all who took such good care of him from sat pm to mon pm.

I have many dogs and I have done lots and lots of rescue situations for every type of animal particularly dogs for many years and I can tell you NO WHERE has ever helped me so much as this place. When they could not help me with my main dog or my number one dog they referred me to Minnesota and they connected me to all the reference places I needed and doctors and helped me transition to Minneapolis to the University of Minnesota. I have brought in many rescue dogs where I was unsure of so many things and they helped me bring many dogs back to perfect health. I had another dog who was my baby and she had a very terrible brain injury accident and left her literally I thought was going to die within minutes and they put her in the hyperbaric chamber and they made her comfortable and they let me sit with her and holder and visit all night and needless to say on day 4 she got to come home. This place has helped me tremendous and I love that it is 24 hours and I love that I can come in at any time and I do often.

A really great example of what a vet/animal hospital should be like. The staff, Dr. Heitman are really just phenomenal with our dog "Bo". They treat a dog or animal like we would want them to be treated...very gentle, not pushy or forceful. Very genuine and friendly environment where you never feel pushed in or out. I would recommend these guys for any pet need or exam. I would especially recommend this place if you've had a bad experience at another pet hospital/vet and are leery of trying someplace new. My daughter's cat was sick and I was told about All City Pet Care Veterinary Emergency Hospital. I called them and they told us to bring Midnight in as a walk-in as they are also a regular vet clinic in addition to being open 24 hours as a vet emergency hospital. We got there and they took him right in. They found out that Midnight had a urinary tract infection which was quickly and efficiently taken care of. They were very kind and compassionate towards my daughter and to Midnight. It was a good experience for us all and they will be taking care of Midnight and our other cat, a kitten my daughter named Mitten from now on. I had to go to All City in the middle of the night due to my dog ingesting a very large dose of xylitol. She convulsed and was non-responsive the whole way from Vermillion, SD to Sioux Falls, SD. It was the longest hour of my life (thanks to one lane construction). She had to stay for two and a half days to recover but she made it to the clear like a champ. No lasting liver damage or otherwise. I was a blubbering mess when we arrived and could barely think. They were patient, honest, and kind. They kept reassuring me that if I was worried I could call anytime for an update. Obviously this wasn't a cheap snack for Bailey (my dog), but All City didn't do any more than they needed to drive up the price at all. Very honest. When we picked her up the vet came out and spoke with me to make sure I understood her home care to wrap up her recovery. I couldn't have asked for a better experience during a time of crisis. 10/10 recommend. Now if only there were an emergency vet closer to Vermillion!!!

Ended up at All City because there is no one in Sioux City that will see animals that aren't "regular clients" after hours. Our primary vet referred us to All City. Dr. Toth was great with our dog. This is Dr Nesli Duda Tom Duda`s wife. I would expect to see more reviews on this facility. When we take our animals to these facilities our pets are in the hands of veterinarians that could do wonders or they may not. We are a guardian of 11 dogs and we have become very cognizant of how this business works. This emergency Hospital is one of the best we have visited in the nation. One needs talented doctors Dr Naida Huntimer has it all. But there is more to her talent she has the ethical anchors which we all yearn to instill in our young scholars and doctors. These anchors are based on our American protestant ethics . Having solid skills and knowledge, humility, accepting an error of for example an employee in the facility and apologizing, not doing more than necessary, being cognizant of the patient`s health even more so than one`s self, loving the job and being honest to the customer are included in these. Nadia has them all. Please skip all the other vets in the city as I am less than pleased with them and trust me I am well versed in this. Our puppy got well quickly thanks to Dr Naida and her team we could have easily lost him. In addition the receptionist Alexis and Kayla and Dr Hanson are excellent as well.
