All the staff at Northeast Veterinary Hospital have always been welcoming to me and my pup. Last week he had a nasty encounter with a wild animal and they went above and beyond to help us get seen as soon as possible, to care for Grouter and make sure he is healing well and the care plan is working for us both. I cannot stress enough how amazing they have been! Thank you to all of the vets, technicians, front desk and back office staff too!

I couldn’t recommend Northeast Veternarian Hospital more to anyone, I have NEVER had a bad experience or incident with them ever. I have been going to them for over a decade now and my dogs always feel extremely comfortable there, and are treated with such care. I have worked in the dog industry my whole life as well and I can just tell that they go above and beyond to make my dogs and cats comfortable. My parents first went there with their dogs, and then we went there together with my new dogs, and now that I am married and have my own dogs we now go there. I have recommended this vet to over a dozen people, and now my in laws and there friends go there. I love this place so so so much, payment is a breeze they don’t overcharge ever! Thank you Northeast Vet for always being amazing to me, my family and my fur babies!

I like the new streamlined approach for visits. The separate waiting areas for cats and dogs is wonderful. My two cats have never seen or been near a dog, so I appreciate the separation which helps decrease the anxiety of being in a strange, new place. The staff has always been attentive and supportive whenever I have brought in my dogs and cats. They are friendly and caring, too! I like the new process of paying in the exam room because it would have been difficult juggling two 12 1/2-pound cats out in the open lobby! Again, it helped soothe my pets from having anxiety and scary interactions with other pets and people. Love this vet clinic and would highly recommend trusting your fur babies to their care.

Extra shout out to the tech (I didn’t get his name) who my cat jumped on with claws out to grab his scrubs. He not only didn’t flinch, but proceeded to have the best cat whisperer skills and soft demeanor with her, and by the end of the appt Lucy was likely ready to go home with him.

I was just reading a psychology journal article summary about how people have lost a significant amount of their social skills, most likely as a result of pandemic-related experiences. Those who front-face customers, clients, patients, or students don't have to read an article to know that. Anger thresholds appear to be low and anxiety very high. That environment doesn't mix well when individuals, panicked about what might be wrong with their well-loved pets, bring their fur kids to the vet. I appreciate and thank Dr. Christensen for his patience, calm manner, and kindness, My trip to NE Vet for a senior visit was easy on my dog, and I very much appreciated the willingness to answer a few questions I had about her as well as ways to help my other, anxious dog. I realize that being in the veterinary industry right now is extraordinarily difficult. Thank you all so much for helping pet owners at a time when it may be easier to find another job or profession.

Northwest Vet has been serving our family for over 35 years. They have cared for generations of pets with all of my family members. All the Vet's and staff members are caring and gentle with your furry family member. I also really appreciate they can see your pet 7 days a week. We once had a dog have an allergic reaction on a Sunday and they got her in right away. Gives peice of mind. Highly recommend.

First time dog mom to a Frenchie… so I’ve had tons of vet visits. That was until I found Dr Tweed at Northeast Veterinary Hospital. Dr Tweed has provided the best abs most knowledgeable care for my frenchie, so much we’ve gotten another one! The entire staff are knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. We moved quite a ways away from their location now, however I will not go to another veterinary!

I’ve been a customer since the 1990s. The last time I was there was 6 months ago, so my pet emergency is a lower priority” and I am now considered a “new” customer. Unfortunately, my dog is very sick with an infection. …so, I created a mobile vet visit. They placed my pup on antibiotics and pain meds. The mobile vet advised me to see her regular vet ASAP, because she needs a sedated procedure. Upon a second call, still no luck…. I can now call at 8am for a raffle visit… which I tried …but no luck. Thanks NE Vet!

All aspects of Maple’s spay surgery went well, from scheduling to intake to receiving an update from the vet after surgery to the follow up to remove staples. Take home instructions we’re clear. I feel very lucky that I have been able to go to take my dogs here the entire time I had them. They are open for such long hours it makes it easy not to deviate from using their services. I asked friends and family where they take their pets, and my family in Kent drive up all the way to Lake City to continue going here. They had glowing reviews about Dr. Edwards’s and I totally understand why, she is serious and passionate about what she does and it is clear she really connects with your animals while staying very scientific and professional. I also always look forward to working whit Dr. Scire, she has great bedside manner, is very friendly and easy to talk to about your worries. The vet techs are also always stellar, I have never met one I didn’t like working with! During Covid they have a good system where you waiting in a parking spot and text them when you are there for your appointment and tell them what spot you are in (the spots are clearly labeled) and a vet tech comes out to grab your animal. To communicate with you the doctors call you while you are waiting in your car. Another great feature about Northeast Veterinary Hospital, is that every February they have 10% off dentals. Just wanna make sure you book ahead because they do fill up. The photo I have attached is from right after my do got surgery and wasn’t doing great. I wouldn’t have been able to get through the first few days of his recovering without their support!

Recently followed Dr. Tweed here (from previous clinic she worked at) and I have to say that all the staff there is extremely nice and seem to care about my Frenchie (whom is like my child). As a pet owner, there’s nothing more important than making them feel as comfortable as possible when they already find the vet office to be a scary place, this place does that! It’s obvious that the staff there love their jobs by the way they treat patients! Grateful for Dr. Tweed & caring staff!

This is a fantastic vet; my family has been going here for decades. They were extremely compassionate when we put down my old spaniel (he was 18!). Now that I'm a cat person, they have been spot on with keeping Mia healthy. Their communication and advice is extremely fast and professional. They always have great advice, and you can ask them anything! They are very friendly, and surprisingly affordable. I expected a more traumatic experience for our arthritic senior cat as a new patient. Instead, he remained calm due in part to the expert handling by the technician and the vet. I left there with the medication we need and confidence about our pain management plan. He even got a complimentary (and much needed) pedicure!

This is a pretty decent veterinary hospital. I’ve always had great experiences with all of the doctors I’ve seen! I docked a couple of stars though because I’ve had more than one interaction with staff who were a bit rude, had some attitude and were generally off putting. It definitely leaves a bad taste in your mouth as a customer, which is unfortunate considering that the quality of care is otherwise great.

Dr. Ward was amazingly understanding and patient with my reactive, anxious dog. She and her technician actually LISTENED to me when I gave instructions on how to behave around him and what not to do. My dog let out some scared lunges and snarls but she was experienced and calm and let him calm down. By the end, he was doing tricks and letting her give an exam and vaccinations, which the previous vet could not do. I will continue to come back and have my dog treated here. Thank you for being the only vet who can treat my dog!

We had a great experience with our dog as a new patient. I was nervous about not being able to meet the vet or see the inside of the clinic, but everyone I spoke with put my mind at ease. Editing my review and rating after a follow up visit. I appreciate that a partner within the practice was proactive about my experience and acknowledged their areas of opportunity. They are aware of the challenges I faced and trying to address them. My dog's follow up visit after an ER trip was leaps and bounds better with the vet tech confirming information with me (from the ER notes). Overall a much more professional, friendly, and informed experience! Everyone swears by one vet at this hospital so I am going to give them a chance, but I'm finding it difficult. Person who answered my call regarding a prescription that needed approval (ordered through Chewy) JUST HUNG UP ON ME! I ordered the prescription online on Sunday and on late Tuesday afternoon I still have not received any confirmation of approval and have received 3 emails from Chewy saying they have contacted the hospital but are not receiving a response. The person who hung on me also threw Chewy under the bus - all I need is for them to approve a prescription, that's it. No drama necessary. My onsite visit wasn't any better: they ask for medical records and an intake form, which was filled out days in advance and all records attached. I noted on the intake that my dog has a complicated and long medical history (hint: at least skim the records). No records were reviewed, skimmed, or even attached to his new patient file. Then the vet started asking me very specific and nuanced medical questions expecting me to answer because the pages upon pages of records were too much to review. The vet tech was also too lazy to review records (despite me telling her exactly which provider and date of last record) and decided she should just go ahead and administer all vaccinations possible. I had to stand there and make her look for the correct record and verify that not all vaccinations were overdue and not all vaccinations were needed that day.

Needed a Vet to take a look a my cat on short notice. This was the only place that was ready and willing to setup an appointment for me on the phone. The visit was great, easy check-in, short wait. The vet (Doctor Ward?) looked over my kitty and gave her diagnosis. Would absolutely recommend.

While every other place turned us down (sometimes even rudely), the receptionist was so kind and got us in last minute. The staff here are truly empathetic and the kindest people ever. They were the only place willing to put down my bunny while he was suffering even though they’re a dog/cat place only. They allowed us to grieve and be with him in his last moments, and the vet was so kind. Even though they’ve never met my bunny or even me, the staff made it seem like they felt like they lost a pet close to their heart too. I will forever appreciate everyone here for allowing my bunny to spend his last moments painlessly with family .

I've been coming here for a little over 2 years, and the staff and crew are incredibly hardworking and kind. Never had any bad experiences, and I've always felt super heard and my dog very cared about. However, the one unfortunate down fall is it's next to impossible to get an appointment, or have any successful communication. I often don't get calls returned, or if you need to reschedule anything, it could be months before another one, which is hard for dogs who have reoccurring problems or who need to be seen asap. I know that can be completely circumstantial due to short staffing, which is not entirely their fault, but it's honestly been like that since I started going there in 2019. I do want to emphasize though the front desk people I talk to are doing their very best, it's just something I would have liked to know before choosing them. Having a dog with chronic skin/ear problems and a vet with constant short staff and changing hours, has been a stressful journey.

I adore this place - they are so kind, wonderful, and understanding. My kitten loves going to the vet (mainly because he's very charismatic and loves new people), and it's always a joy to hear how much they adore and know Mr. Dude. They explain every option to me, and give me the chance to make the best decision for me and my kitten. Even going all consultations over the phone because of the pandemic, they make everything quick and easy. I won't go anywhere else!

As a new Seattle resident, I was concerned about finding a good vet for my beloved senior dog. NE Veterinary Hospital was recommended by a neighbor in August but I couldnt get an apointment until January and then not even with the recommended vet. Fortunately (very very fortunately) Dr Ivory joined the staff and I got an appointment with her for late November. She and Hunter, the tech and vet in training, were extremely helpful, informative and very very solisitous to my nervous frightened dog (she's not a fan of doctor visits nor groomers). They sat on the floor with her for the exam! !! I've never seen this before and it made a huge calming difference for my dog. Dr Ivory answered my questions and addressed all my concerns. I learned more about my dog's condition in 15 minutes with Dr Ivory than in the many visits with my former vet. She clearly loves and understand animals. There's no substitute for that.

I have been going to Northeast Veterinary Hospital for years. We started out near the area and then moved across the water. But I decided to stay with the hospital for my pet care needs. The docs are great; they are conservative with their care; their prices are reasonable and they even helped out with a vet bill when the kitty I brought in wasn't mine. The hospital is caring and kind. Highly recommend!

We started bringing our puppy here because in March 2020 our primary vet was not taking any non-emergency appointments. I understand that they’ve had to adapt during covid and we appreciate that they were available and open. It’s close to our house so that is really convenient, but I have never had a particularly positive interaction, so we’ll be switching our dog to another vet. They still haven’t worked out their curbside system. I always have to set aside multiple hours of the day for routine appointments because when you arrive and text your arrival, you usually still have to wait, or knock anyway to let them know that you texted. When I call, there are usually at least 10 other people on hold ahead of me. Maybe they’re under staffed or over booked. I can’t tell you if the doctors are particularly good or not because I’ve only had such brief interactions with them.

Love this clinic! Today was our second visit, and like the first, it was a great experience. They squeezed my poor sick pup into their busy schedule and the whole staff was lovely. Front desk staff was super efficient and kind, the vet tech was so sweet, and both Dr. Ben and Dr. Alison were so incredibly gentle and sweet with my dog. We have been going here for many years since we started rescuing, fostering and adopting dogs. We tend to prefer sticking to a few vets who get to know us like Dr. Edwards. We trust her implicitly. Her bedside manner with animals and people is stellar. Her technical competency is without question. She can be hard to get an apt with, but she tries to squeeze us in when needed. Several vets are reasonable with cost effective approaches and I don’t feel like high priced treatment is pressured - most have realistic approach and offer all budget options. I have seen high pressure sales in other states and I don’t feel that here. I have also seen vets elsewhere who don;t seem to like what they do and I don’t see that here. Staff too seem to want to do what they do and so far all techs have been very good and caring and concerned. Parking is easy. Hours are very good for us. One star off for prices, but probably reflective of the area economy. Medications we’ve used comparable to online prices it seems. `Over the years several vets have treated many of our dogs and at one time diagnosed a very rare blood condition which was investigated and solved with tenacity. This is not the most conveniently located vet for us, and we have many choices, but we are happy to travel for the care we get. We’re sticking with this vet office!

My discussion with Dr. Shire was very helpful. We took our 12 yr old dog to Northeast Veterinary after getting what seemed like very high quotes for some lump removals from 2 other vets. The estimate at Northeast was MUCH more reasonable, but more importantly they were competent, kind, compassionate, caring and thorough. Dr. Ward did her surgery and was excellent in every way. She took plenty of time to examine our dog and talk to us and she followed up with us after surgery, making sure that her recovery was going smoothly. When I had some questions she spoke to me on the phone, suggested that I send video of my dog so that she could assess her and patiently went over my questions with me. I am impressed that such a fixture business in NE Seattle would spend the $$ to update their office but they did and it is very clean and easy to maneuver around in with a dog, with other dogs and cats nearby. The front desk staff, especially Matt and Gabriella are fantastic. They listen first, are detail oriented, get answers and provide excellent customer service. Dr. Wrycha did the surgery on my dog and I believe everything went well. It has only been 3 days so I haven't seen my dog's complete recovery but the follow-up communications from the office staff has been excellent. Never once have they tried to sell me on a procedure that isn't necessary (I have had vets try to do this in the past) and their pricing is reasonable. The front desk staff is always friendly and efficient, even when it's busy, and they made me feel at ease when my new puppy was screaming (not hyperbole--he's known as the screamer now) in the lobby. We live in Mountlake Terrace now, but the drive to Wedgwood is totally worth it.

I have used Northeast Veterinary for over 30 years. Cats, dogs, rabbits. The prices are fair and the care is excellent. I bought in my 10 year old dog last night who I believed had an upset stomach. Dr. Christensen took an X ray and determined she had cancer with blood pooling in her stomach. When I asked him if it was his dog what would he do, he gave me a straight answer. Which gave me no doubt I was doing the right thing. It was a rough situation for me my husband was on a business trip and I was alone at the clinic with the dog. They were gracious enough to mail the bill which I sincerely appreciated. As I walked out of the clinic I stood there a moment and a tech asked If she give me a hug. What a tough job they have, not only caring for sick animals but the owners themselves. Thank you

And best of all I didnt receive hidden fees on my bill at the end of the visit, it was all very transparent. I also wanted to praise their assistance with follow ups to the initial appointment. Many times I have brought my dogs to Northeast for effective, inexpensive treatment after another facility, featuring specialists, prescribed unending, expensive tests which offered no real solution. Also, my dog loves to go to Northeast and seems to feel it is her second home. I think she recognizes that the staff members seem to love dogs! In fact, my other dogs before her also have shown the same love for Northeast. When one of my precious dogs escaped from my yard, ran away during the night, and was lost for two days, she was found in the parking lot of Northeast, her second home, and was brought home to me by Northeast patrons, who found her wandering the parking lot and received help in identifying her from Northeast staff! I have visited other veterinary hospitals but have always returned to my dogs' hospital of choice: Northeast!
