My dog receives the best of care here and we are so thankful for their compassionate care, patient explanations and willingness to dig into what might be causing an ailment. We had to put our sweet girl, Cosette, to sleep today. Coventry has been amazing with her care, especially over the past year as our sweet girl slowly declined. Dr. Villanueva is the best veterinarian we could ask for. She has always been very informative, never pushed us to make any decisions we weren’t comfortable with, and of course, was always so sweet and caring to our baby. Cosette loved her so much and I am so glad that she was in such great hands today at Coventry. Thank you for making the worst day ever as best as it could possibly be. As long as we live in New England, we will always be bringing our pets to a Coventry Animal Hospital.

My dog had a HUGE abscess on her neck that was causing her to have a hard time breathing. No other vet in the state could see me. And the ones that could wanted to charge thousands! My pup was in there getting treatment an hour and a half after I called. Everyone was so kind and treated my dog like she was their own. She got an exam, pain meds, antibiotics, flash ultrasound, sedated, her abscess drained and UTD on her rabies shot for literally close to what I would pay for an exam at my normal veterinary office. Definitely switching!

Coventry Animal Hospital is hands down fantastic! I called on a Sunday morning on Labor day weekend because my kitty needed to be seen and they had no appointments left for the day. He needed a recovery collar to be put on and he wasn't "cooperating" with us at all was told to bring him in for them to help out and we could get an appointment on Tuesday. They saw him for the collar and the vet treated it immediately. THANK YOU FOR CARING ABOUT YOUR CLIENTS!!!!!

Absolutely love them! They take such wonderful care of our rottweiler, who will be 12 yo soon. Reasonably priced, don't push you to do unnecessary tests or procedures to make money (like some other places we've been to). The vets make time to discuss the visit (even during this whole pandemic) and care plans. And their technicians are also the best...our pup loves them and they show her lots of love too! Only wish we had switched to them a long time ago.

I would like to take a moment to ensure you all that Doctor Lester’s entire staff at COVENTRY ANIMAL HOSPITAL, are, the most courteous and professional staff. They care just as much about the dog owners as they do your pets. The receptionists, technicians, and Doctors, continuously show a true compassion for your loved animal. A few years back our dog required an intensive type of surgery that obviously came with certain risks. Doctor Lester assured us multiple times that our best friend would be just fine. This experience reassured my family that everything was going to be okay, the compassion displayed by every staff member will be held in our hearts forever. Unfortunately, as a family we had to make a tough decision to put our beloved “Kennedy” down. From the moment we arrived at the Hospital until the completion of the procedure the entire staff, showed us love, respect, and appreciation. A special thanks, to Katelyn, the technician who greeted us and put our entire family at ease from beginning till end. We cannot thank this entire group of Veterinary professionals enough!!!!!! Thank you for taking care and loving our “Kennedy” over the years.

I had an honor to personally know and to work with most doctors at Coventry Animal Hospital, and saw their professionalism, their dedication, their love for animals. Now, each time I take Beam to a doctor, be it an annual wellness exam or any problem he may develop, I realize that my best friend is in very good hands. I cannot recommend Coventry Animal hospital enough. I called them hysterical with an emergency. My dog has never been there before. The super kind woman who answered my call calmed me down with such compassion listened to what was going on with my dog and told me to stay by the phone she would call me back in a minute. She literally called me back 30 seconds later and told me to get my dog in right away. They took my dog in 2 hours before they closed and did an emergency surgery on him, they saved his life. I cannot sing their praises enough they really went above and beyond for me and my dog. Prices are absolutely phenomenal. I am changing where I take my dogs for there care to Coventry Animal hospital. They get 10 stars from me. They took the best care of my baby, he is back to normal just 24 hours later. I highly recommend Coventry Animal hospital.

We are frequent visitors with our dogs. These folks are nothing short of spectacular! From the people who handle the front desk to the techs to the docs! Just went through the horrible experience of putting down a cat and they were so incredibly compassionate. I can't say enough positive things. We have a diabetic dog who requires special care. They know her and know what she needs. They are simply the best!!

A pleasant experience. This was our first visit since moving to Coventry from out of state last year. We have 2 small dogs and needed annual shots, 100,000 mile check ups, blood work etc. Both Vet tech and Vet were very kind and friendly towards our dogs. They set both at ease with genuine feeling. This was the most relaxed in that setting we have seen them in 12 years. They were also great to us as well. Definitely a 5+ star review. No disappointments. We have found our new Vet.

This wasn't our first choice when we got our pup in 2021 because we have another vet right down the street who at the time was not accepting new patients. I am more than happy with Dr Levy. He is down-to-earth and knowledgeable. He very patiently took the time to inform and talk with me about my dog pre and post-op. Mandy is extremely timid and nervous in most places especially if they are unfamiliar. I especially liked the kind and caring way he approached her. Dr. Levy was referred to me by someone and I would recommend him to anyone 100xs over. July 27 2021 Brought our boxer/mastiff in with an accident to his tail. The doctor, assistants and entire staff are incredible. Not only was our dog in great hands for his pretty urgent procedure but it was quick, efficient and the cost was shockingly less than we could've imagined. Great experience all around. I’ve had such a great experience at Coventry Animal Hospital! I recently took my English bulldog mix puppy for her first visit. Everyone from office staff to the vet himself truly care about the pets and seem to love what they do! They are responsive, I emailed for a follow up and they got back to me in less than an hour. A HUGE change from previous vets I’ve used in the best way! And they are very reasonably priced! Highly recommend!!

Coventry Animal Hospital is the absolute best at animal/ pet care-hands down. This group, from the administrative staff to the vet techs to the vet doctors have proven time after time that they are the most caring and professional veterinarian staff I have ever encountered. It’s a been a while since the pandemic but my visit today with my anxious dog was handled with the most incredible care I could ask for. Dr Lester has such an amazing presence with my dog and works together with the myself and the tech to make this visit tolerable and productive. I am forever grateful to this team! I had to take my cat to them today. Not only was being open on Sunday a plus but I did not have to wait long once I got there. The receptionist was so pleasant and I could tell she was listening to me. She did not rush me answered my questions and made me feel like I could leave my cat in good hands. When the vet called she was very informative about what they did to diagnose my cats problems. She also listened to me and did not rush me. The process to diagnose her issues was very thorough. The bill was very reasonable and for what they did to diagnose it was extremely affordable. I love this hospital and would recommend it to anyone who has sick animals. While my cat was there they cut her nails gave her first dose of meds. I can't recommend them enough. Staff is kind and caring. I will return.

We LOVE it here! I have french bulldogs and they understand and are familiar with the breed. Anytime ive had an emergency they fit me right in. They are absolutely fantastic! The staff there are amazing it’s my dog and very pleasant on the phone when you call. They are kind and take time to explain things. Dr. Lester called me to give updates when my dog was having a procedure which most places don’t do, it was nice to know he was doing well. Wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else and they are reasonably priced and won’t try to talk you into it pressure you into tests that aren’t absolutely necessary. Best vet office in RI.

Coventry Animal Hospital is amazing. We've deal with all of the doctors, every single one is kind, intelligent, responsive and caring. The techs and reception staff are also some of the sweetest people I've ever interacted with. Our 3 year old Rottweiler had to have eye surgery during the pandemic. We were so stressed and worried about him, but they communicated with us all day and treated him amazingly well. His surgery cost was also below the high end of the estimate they gave us, which was wonderful. I will never bring my dog anywhere else.

We're still pretty new there but, Dr.Levy has been great the couple times we've been with our pup. So far his diagnosis has been accurate both times and my dog is back to great health again! The rest of the crew there has all been friendly and helpful as well. Some times it's tough to get an appointment sooner then a week or more away which can be a stinker for when your dog is ill but, other than that I would definitely recommend.

The doctors and staff here are great, I have been going here for 2 years with 4 of my animals, 3 being exotics and they are amazing. I had a pet pass and they called for an appointment reminder, I told them what happened and along with an apology, they were nice enough to send a sympathy card as well. I have been bringing my dog here since he was adopted and I would give 10 stars if I could. I've brought my dog here for everything from routine checkups and booster shots to emergency surgery and we have been treated with kindness, compassion, and an unrivalled bedside manner. Everyone from the receptionists to the veterinarians have gone gone far above and beyond for us and given nothing but world class care and service. Yesterday my little rabbit raisin had a wellness check. Everyone was very kind and the dr was very knowledgeable with rabbits.the price was very good also! I brought my rabbit cookie here when he passed to be cremated and everyone was just so kind and compassionate and didn’t bring up money or prices until I was ready to discuss prices. Kerry was the tech who helped me and she was so kind and loving towards my fiancé and I through that sad and devastating time. When I picked up my baby boys ashes he was in a nice wooden box that was free and they gave him to me in a gift bag along with seeds to grow with his ashes and pamphlets on how to grieve the loss of a companion. This place is amazing and this is where I will be taking my raisin for now on along with 3 of her babies that are now part of our bunny family! Thank you so much for everything you guys have done!

This is the best vet I've ever found. Years ago, my cat swallowed a shoelace. The entire thing. He's such a nice, happy cat, that he didn't show any signs of anything wrong until about a month later when he vomited for the first time. I brought him in, and they found that he'd eaten the shoelace, and it was wrapped around his little intestines. They operated and kept him overnight, and I was terrified. He came home the next day, and aside from having a shaved belly full of stitches, he was right back to his normal happy self in no time. Fast forward to a couple days ago, I noticed one of my necklaces was missing, and got afraid that he might've eaten it. I called the vet and explained, and they took him in first thing the next morning. They did some x-rays, and luckily my baby didn't eat the thing this time. I'm so grateful for this place, you've saved my cat multiple times and I'll never bring him anywhere else.

He listened to what we had to say and had answers., was very attentive to us and our dogs., played with our dogs. It is very obvious he cared. Me and our dogs love this place, great Dr.s and Vet techs, we have a dachshund and dachs/rat terrier mix. Weekend appointments at no extra charge. There hours of operation are the best, I travel for work during the week, knowing I can get a Saturday or Sunday appointment and not have to wait weeks is awesome. As my dogs weigh less than 15 pounds I prefer their shots broken up over a couple of visits and they have no problem doing that for me.

They are so amazing and she was almost a perfect angel going into the Coventry vets! They immediately greeted her with a big warm welcome and she loved them! My family and I are in the midst of a move back to RI. We have dropped in and visited several practices, none of which are measuring up to what we are leaving in Virginia. Over the last week our pup was taken ill and treated at the ER vet. I had literally called to establish our pups with Coventry in the morning when shortly thereafter our oldest had a medical emergency. The front staff worked to help me and I was told to bring her right in to be evaluated. While the outcome for our pup was not what one would wish, Dr Lester treated her, and me, with an incredible amount of kindness and compassion. Dr Lester was truly amazing and we look forward to bringing our other pets to this practice when we have permanently located. Do not hesitate to establish with this practice. If our first experience with them during an extremely trying situation was so incredibly amazing, I can only imagine how the rest of our pack will be treated on a routine basis. Today we had our first appointment at the Coventry Animal hospital and we could not be happier. Dr. Wietsma was loving towards my cats and thoroughly explained what he was doing the entire exam. He gave honest answers to my questions and listened to my concerns. Both my cats who are normally scared at the vet sat perfectly on the table and one even felt comfortable enough to be held like a baby in Dr. Wietsma's arms! This place isn't just a vet clinic that tries to push products or unnecessary procedures on you. The warm front desk staff and assistants make this place so unique! The waiting area is clean and has an inviting atmosphere. Prices were beyond fair as well. I highly recommend to anyone !

Coventry Animal Hospital is a great place to take your pet.Had a emergency with my cat the staff made arrangements to have my pet scene that same day. She received the necessary care that she needed and she doing great. For a animal hospital I highly recommend you try this facility The great thing is they areopen on Sundays. Instead of going to Ocean State Animal Care where it cost you $$$$ just to walk in the door. Highly recommend you give Coventry Animal Hospital a chance

Open 7 days a week, for emergencies (call ahead) as well as appointments. Over the years Dr. Weitzma and Dr. Lester (as well as the more recently associated veterinarians) have provided our many cats, dogs, parrots, tortoises, chickens, etc. with terrific care and quality of life. We never feel rushed as they answer every question we have. Waiting time is reasonable as well - usually 5 to 10 minutes at the most. Note: Dr. Weitzma was featured on the cover and in an article of a Rhode Island Monthly magazine a few years back - a WELL deserved honor...!

I brought my dog and birds to Dr. Wietsma for many years when he was in North Kingstown and it was worth the trip from Coventry. I was very disappointed when he retired because I knew I could not find another vet of his caliber after going to over ten other vets in my lifetime. Beautiful large waiting aeea ample space to keep cats from fear of dogs and dogs otgerwise occupied abd coffee for anxious pet parents. I found the staff at the desk very accomodating to my needs, I had an issue with my car and had to reschedule and they gave me no trouble at all, even though it was a promotional discount rste. I have an appointment with my cat who I am obsessed with next week but if the people behind the scenes are as pleasant and professional as those at the counter, I will likely come back to this review and give the final star.

Dr. Hank Wietsma is the best exotic specialist veterinarian in New England. I bring my rescued guinea pigs to him. He is so knowledgeable and incredibly sweet with my piggys. His partner Dr. Sam Lester is wonderful too. I'd gladly see him if we can't see Dr. Wietsma.
