I am so happy I found City Kitty! There is something very comforting about taking your cat to an all cat vet. They are really cat experts here! They took me right in as a new customer and provided excellent service. Everyone at City Kitty was so kind - the person on the phone, the people at the front desk upon arrival, our vet tech Kelly (she’s amazing), and the vet herself! They were so loving and gentle with my cat, they moved at his pace, they were never afraid of him even when he seemed a little upset, and I could tell they really cared about how he was feeling. They gave him a full check-up and even covered the little things to make sure he was leaving as healthy as he could be. I swear my cat left more calm then when he arrived because of the comfort they provided in their care. Your cat deserves City Kitty!

City Kitty saved my cat’s life! As a kitten he was is such bad shape, and had illness after illness. City Kitty is always able to get us in during emergencies, even though I know that they are very busy. The staff is always kind and we are so grateful for them for all that they do! You can tell that the doctors really care about the cats, and they are very knowledgeable and compassionate. We moved to another town but still bring our cat here because they’re simply the best and we trust them so much! Thank you City Kitty!

I love City Kitty. Been taking my cats there since 2010. Dr. Palmer and vet tech, Chris, made our recent visit great. My cat Jay did NOT want to be there and they handled him so calmly and expertly. Our Lily is looking forward for her second appointment next week. She likes her gift from the first visit. We have a catnip plant that now and then we rub around three leafs on the toy. Now after playing with it decided it was good for shade 😜 The first appointment was great! They checked on her, and clipped her nails. Really good people working there.

I just couldn't believe how attentive the staff was to me and my pet. I'm so glad I found City Kitty on the web. This was our first visit and I was very pleased. My kitty is scheduled for surgery soon and I am very comfortable incontinent with putting her in their hands.

They took my cat as an emergency when his normal vet turned us away. They were AMAZING! The vet and tech were compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. My cat isn’t a huge fan or being handled, but he let them pick him up and carry him without a fight. They called the next morning to see how he was feeling. I couldn’t ask for better care. We now have a new kitty vet!

I went in on Friday to speak with someone regarding my cat's recently modified behaviour. Noelle was at the front desk and brought me somewhere private to discuss because I was emotional and distressed. She was understanding and non-judgemental I left with a plan of action and an appt fot the following Monday. On Monday everyone was sweet, kind and concerned about my kitty, Zanni, and our ongoing issue. We have another plan in place and hopefully Zanni will return to her less aggressive self soon. Gordon (our cat) had a great experience at City Kitty (minus the temperature reading and his rabies vaccine). Everyone there is so friendly, relaxed, and ready to help. He also LOVED the branded catnip toy they gave us as first time visitors to the vet. He played with it for a good half hour after we returned home. We'll very happily return to City Kitty for vet care.

Bringing 3 cats to the vet at the same time is no easy task. Actually getting 3 cats examined at the same time... Much easier task for the city kitty team, they clearly know what the are doing...me not so much. We were in and out of there in no time, and all the staff was helpful and amazing as usual. Amazing! I have a very difficult cat. Or at least I thought. I don't know what kind of voodoo magic the cat whispers used on her but she was not stressed, purred the whole time and basically showed all the staff that she is a normal cat- not the cat with the many personalities that I live with, most of which are terrorizing lol. Highly highly recommend City Kitty - especially if you have a bipolar kitty like mine! The entire staff their are the best.

I was in a bind when I called City Kitty, since I had just moved to Providence and didn’t have a new vet yet, but my kitty was sick. They honestly couldn’t have been nicer! I got an appointment the same morning, they got all the medical records from my previous vet, and took such good care of my cat. Everyone was so nice and caring from the minute they picked up the phone to the time I walked out the door a couple hours later. I’m so glad I found my new vet, City Kitty!

Specifically Iris (Vet Technician) and Dr. Mecurio for the prompt, thorough and compassionate care I received for my cat (Koko) and me. This place is great! I just got two 8 week old kittens on Saturday and was recommended City Kitty by multiple people. They got me in for a last minute appointment on Monday as one of them was having stomach trouble. Everyone there was very friendly, professional and even took extra time to answer all of my questions, which as a first time cat dad was a kind of long list. I felt like they truly care about me and my kitties. Seemed like a clean place. They tested her for parasites, and gave me a whole goody bag of things to bring home to help her tummy feel better. I highly recommend this place. They even called the next morning to follow up and see how my girl is feeling! My only complaint, which is consistent with what I’ve heard from friends and family who use them, is they are a bit pricey. But you definitely get what you pay for at City Kitty, which is quality care.

Oh my gosh, I can’t say enough. They were with me through all of my old Sammy’s decline and so gentle with me and him. I am so grateful for their compassion and meticulous care of him (and me). Now that I have new cats (of the “senior” variety!) there is no one else I would go to for their care. Whether you are grieving the loss of a pet or just have a question about behavior and routine care, they are patient and compassionate. Scheduling, visits, and aftercare have been managed so smoothly during the pandemic, which is amazing, and they take time to explain medications and address any concerns you might have, and follow-up later to see how kitty is feeling. Great vet service. We just moved here and did not know any buddy to ask for references for veterinarians. Luckily citikitty is next to our son school and I found it when I was driving by. The staff are super helpful and very efficient. The office is so clean and well-organized it's comfy and easy to hang out in while waiting for your kitty. My cats were treated with a lot of care and affection. I highly recommend them.

I truly cannot say enough nice things about here. Until today I have only had to bring my cats in for wellness visits and vaccines. One of my cats had an emergency issue today, I called right when they opened and they took him in right away for a drop off appointment because they were very busy. Within half an hour I had a call with their findings and my options. They were very understanding and honest about their plans and costs upfront. They kept me updated throughout the day every step of the way. Everyone who works here is truly a joy to interact with. City Kitty is BY FAR the best veterinarians I have ever had the pleasure to bring my cats to. They are beyond thorough and are so compassionate. The entire staff seems to love their jobs and are so kind and comforting in the worst of times. I have had Dr Mercurio operate on one of my cats and it went perfectly and he healed fine. They are super helpful when it comes to tips on how to make the fur babies feel better. I drive 90 minutes just to bring my cats there. It is WELL worth it. During a recent crisis with my kitty, they sprung into action, gave him what he needed, ran some tests and, thankfully, he seems to have turned a corner for the better. I can not thank them enough for saving my boy’s life. If I could give them 100 stars I would. I TOTALLY recommend City Kitty! You won’t be disappointed!!

I brought my kitty here for her first ever vet visit. I was probably more anxious than my cat, and they made the process so easy! They were super knowledgeable, so comforting, and great with my cat. You can tell they love the animals so much, i also appreciated the punctuality. They got me right into a room where my cat could roam around and wait for the tech. City Kitty’s prices are higher than most vets, however, the care your cat will receive make it well worth it. I would not bring my cats anywhere else!

Everyone is always amazing and cares for my girls so well. Simon, city kitty welcome purrtroll, made sure to greet us when we got there. Doctors are so attentive and the staff always makes my girls feel comfortable (and gives them plenty of cuddles!! Even my shy girl loves the staff). This my first time at Kitty City and I am impressed with how they are able to give the high quality of service through the COVID-19, staff was very polite and attentive to both their cat customers and human parents as well. I was very impressed as when I first pulled in I noticed the staff escorting an elderly customer indoors so she didn't have to wait in the scorching 90 degree weather, thank you for that! They are safe with handling for your cat as well as their safety. My Zuko hates his head touched, every time they know this and are so careful Not to upset him further. I have a very happy Kitty thanks to City Kitty! The staffed showed me the estimate before starting and did not pressue me into anything. The technician also clipped her nails and brushed her. Best vet experience. Note: My challenging Kitty has always needed to be sedated to be examined by a vet, but City Kitty uses gas. She was in and out quickly with less side effects (and less $$).

I am so WOWED!!! I heard so much good about City Kitty, and now that I’ve finally went I completely understand why everyone says they’re the best! Because they are! City Kitty always treats my senior cat with such care..she can be a bit cranky but not at City Kitty. We recently had an ingrown toe nail emergency, what a mess here, I was seen in a half an hour of my call. At that time they also did all the routine shots Aggie was scheduled for at an appointment next month. Saving me time and poor Aggie the car ride. She screams the whole way!!!! Love City Kitty😻

This was my first visit to City Kitty - recommended to my by a client - my senior cat is sick and I needed a vet- yes they are booking out a month and a half for new patients just like a human dr office - when I told the front desk what was going on she got me in the next day. They were all very caring, knowledgeable, and worked with me. I was able to go on a payment plan (you don’t hear of that anymore anywhere!) which was a great relief for me. I can’t thank them enough! Very much over-priced, especially lab. But generous to permit a payment plan, with high charge for that as well. Kind and caring and truly concerned about their furry patients. Today, for first time ever, there was close to an hour’s wait prior to visit and visit itself quite lengthy. End-of-year high volume perhaps. Usually in and out in under an hour. On March 18,2022 I brought my cat in for a routine check up of her thyroid levels. Unexpectedly one of the outside cats that reside in my area was ill. Not knowing what the difficulty was I called and asked if it would be possible to bring him in at the same time. Even though their schedule was tight they told me to bring him in. They are wonderful,caring and very responsive to your calls and messages and get you in ASAP if you have concerns about your cat. The staff is very knowledgeable,loving and patient and took their time to explain information and answered all our questions and concerns. Made sure to schedule appointments for our sick kitty without a long wait I was shocked they responded so quickly because most veterinary services wouldn't take us as new client or there was a 2 month wait . Hands down the best vet I've ever been to. They were able to fit my cat, Taco, in for a couple same day visits for semi-urgent urinary issues recently. We were visiting family for Christmas and our kitty started limping. City Kitty was wonderful to agree to see him the same day even though he is not one of their patients. They asked that we do a drop off appointment so they could work him into their already busy schedule. Within a half hour of dropping him off we had a call back to discuss his limp and were able to pick him up within an hour and a half of dropping him there. Everyone was very kind, considerate and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who loves their kitties.

My cat lost a tooth so it was somewhat of an emergency, I called many places closer to me and would have had to wait weeks to have my cat seen. City Kitty had something available in two days. Things happen for a reason I guess because I am very pleased with the care they gave my fur baby. I wouldn't take my cat anywhere else! They're easy to get a hold of, make an appointment, and get one-off questions answered. I love that I can check the app to confirm my upcoming appointment dates, track my spending, and see Hendrix's prescriptions. Those are all wonderful perks of taking my cat to City Kitty, but I would say my FAVORITE thing is that they run true to their appointment times. I arrive on time, they get me in the room with barely a few minutes wait. Compared to Providence River Animal Hospital (where we take our dog and wait a minimum of 25 minutes in the parking lot before even coming to get the dog from the car) it is a true blessing to go to City Kitty and not have to worry about a simple vet visit taking up to 3 hours simply because of wait times.

She ends up getting a lot less stressed and aggressive overall because they're so calm and unphased when she does get upset. They get that cats are different than dogs at the vet, and it's made it such a better experience for her and me.

I called my regular vet to schedule a non emergency visit for an ingrown claw. So, it wasn’t an emergency YET, but my cat was uncomfortable and I knew this claw could get real bad and infected quickly. My regular vet was completely unhelpful and unapologetic , told me no appointments for over a month, didn’t even say a single word to recognize that this wasn’t a good situation for my cat, and didn’t even suggest any alternatives/courses of action/etc. So I called City Kitty. They had never laid eyes on me or my cat. I told them about my cat’s situation, didn’t mention the other vet. The receptionist first said, “we don’t have any appointments for over a month.” I was disappointed for a millisecond, until she said, “but hold on. That claw needs to be taken care of.” She came back to the phone and offered me an appointment in one week. Grateful, I said yes, rearranged my schedule to make myself available, brought my cat there yesterday, and now me and my cat are so happy! They took care of him and made him feel comfortable in the office and I can already tell that my cat feels better than he has in some time. Thank you, City Kitty, for your accommodating customer service and on point care for my cat!

Greatly appreciate the flexibility to be able to get Leo in for treatment - we know how busy clinics are these days & were worried about being able to get him the care he needed. Dr was clear and helpful. Cost seemed very high but services were extensive and given concern about heart we had no basis to question balance between such extensive recommended analytics and capacity to just issue treatment. Tension is always what we can afford to provide for our beloved cat given all other financial needs (including the rest of our family's expensive medical care). Every time I go in with my two cats it's been a very pleasant and easy experience. All of the vets and technicians working there are compassionate, knowledgeable, and hard working. I have never waited for long (even when I arrive before my appointment) and am almost immediately put into a room. While I can't say my two kitties love going there (they aren't fans of leaving the house), I truly can say it's one of the best/easiest vet visits each time compared to any other facility. We moved back to RI in early July and as soon as we arrived, our 3 cats starting needing medical attention. City Kitty was the only vet that would take us for a sick visit and saw us right away. Over the last month and a half, we have been there for ear infections, allergies, and various bladder issues, including surgery. They have been amazing through it all. They recognize us by face (I mean we have been there 8 times within the last 5 weeks…) and go above and beyond to not only help our cats, but to ease our nerves and concerns. She has not been eating for days, has been extremely grouchy, hissing and growling at her brother and even at us sometimes, and has been throwing up on and off. It was my first time visiting City Kitty since they moved. Their new space is beautiful, and it was fun being greeted by the resident kitties. They quickly put us in an examination room. Jill the technician was wonderful; I was impressed with her handling of our at times difficult kitty Maggie, and of how thoroughly she interviewed us. Dr. Mercurio was also very thorough and kind. I know this practice is very busy, but we did not feel rushed in any way. As far as prices go they seemed comparable to other practices.

Let me tell you something about city kitty, i had a severe need to get my kitty treatment, she had been acting different for a couple days, sick, tired, weak, and generally exhausted. I’m a Massachusetts person, who had literally tried every vet under the google name. One after another denied, because they were either too busy, or they had a full capacity. When I tell you I tried to call places I mean I called 14 different vets offices throughout RI and MA. Denied every single time. I had almost no hope and thought I was going to lose my kitty to who knows what. At my last attempt for anything I mean anything something made me look up vets who specifically work with cats and feline. City kitty popped up, I called, and not to mention the outstanding person who took my call, heard my concerns and made SURE I got in there within the hour. Yes I had to travel extra time.. but at what cost? It was worth every dollar. They were helpful, respectful, and showed such care for my kitty that I couldn’t not say something about this place here. Outstanding job, very informative, very attentive and very professional. They took care of my kitty and called me before every step of the way to make sure I was okay and updated with what they thought should be done. Pricey? Maybe a little but at the cost of my little kitty being herself again and treated the way I think she should, not even a day later my kitty was almost back to normal, two days later my little Lizzie was back to herself, and when I say she was bad.. she could barely walk or move by herself. I know City kitty saved her life without a doubt. They called me twice to check up on her after the appointment as if she was their own. And this is real important. I didn’t feel like they were there just for a job, it was much more than that, you can feel the love radiating from that place. From the exterior building to the facility of the place it was a 5/5 stars. If it wasn’t covid season I wouldn’t been in there hugging everyone for their part in this. Thank you, thank you so much. My appreciation goes beyond words, beyond expression, they did everything I had hoped they would and then some. Needless to say, they will be a part of my family and future family for years to come. Money: Off the bat, I will say that this clinic is not cheap, but it is SO worth it. I have never regretted a single payment to this practice because the entire staff here has proven time after time that they care for my cats. Can I try and look elsewhere for a cheaper vet? Sure. Will I be able to commit this level of trust to another vet? Absolutely not. At the end of the day, I'm happy as a client as long as my cats are happy and healthy. If the money ends up providing more resources, training, staffing, etc to the practice, then I'm completely for that. The veterinary world is a tough field to navigate, and I'm happy to support this business. Care and Treatment: I have two cats that I've brought here as kittens for 5 years now. One is RATCHET at the vet and the other has pre-existing conditions that's left her with one kidney. Both have received the utmost, fabulous care that I could possibly ask for. I'm working through feline herpes with one right now and god, I can't thank City Kitty enough. I've become helicopter cat mom and they have provided me such reassurance both at my visit and over the phone multiple times through this week now. They always, always get me an appointment right away and is able to fit me in last minute on various occasions. The techs call me as a follow-up and this is something that I've just never experienced at any other vets. Shout-outs to my techs: I have met with all three vets, Drs. Lund, Mercurio and Palmer and they are all compassionate doctors. I've also had the very fortunate experience to meet Chris, Lance and most recently now, AJ, throughout my time here. THANK YOU!!!!! When it Jack was very ill, the Doctors answered our daily phone calls and gave us advice, support and love through the process. I truly believe this was the best place for Jack to be in his final weeks in this dimension, we are grateful to City Kitty for the love, support and empathy they showed us in our time of grief and loss. Both my husband and I spoke regularly to our friends and family about how helpful and thoughtful City Kitty was for us in that difficult time.

I did not ask about the certificate at Prov Animal Rescue League, so some of the services I had to pay were a surprise. However i will make sure to fix that in a week. My Maximus was having a paw issue. I called City Kitty they gave me an appointment the next day. My mom who is 81 brought him in. Everyone was kind and Courteous to her and my Maximus. What a great experience. When my kitty had an immediate issue, they were able to make time for me to come in right away, within the hour. They were more than friendly every step of the way, and somehow, my VERY picky cat didn't even seem to be upset at all when she was returned to me! From how calm and almost grateful she seemed when we got home, I can tell they treated her so well that she could probably tell they were helping her. They also had a wonderful social distancing plan that allowed me to privately hang out in my car, while they came out to retrieve my kitty and hand me paperwork etc. The doctor made everything very clear, took the time to answer my questions and special concerns, and covered all our bases to bring my girl some immediate relief. When the vet referred to my cat's current status in her weight loss journey as "Rubenesque" I knew I found my favorite vet forever :) They really care and love cats!

I hadn't taken my two indoor cats to a vet in quite some time. Although they were healthy, they were overdue for a checkup. They also had some issues with matted fur. I felt terrible! The people at City Kitty were polite, helpful, and efficient. There was no guilt trip involved. My kitties are now up to date on vaccines, have a clean bill of health, and look adorable. We're working on a grooming routine to prevent future issues, but I know that I have a wonderful place to take them if we have any trouble. I have already recommended them to a friend.

About 6+ years ago, I was working in Providence, and we realized there was a cat stuck in our drop-ceiling, who had gotten in during construction and couldn't get back out. We lured him out, and I took him to City Kitty for a checkup and shots, then adopted the cat. I named him Lionel. Two weeks ago, after battling with stomach cancer for two months, Lionel had to be put down. He was my best friend, was always there every morning when I woke up, and always ran to greet me when I came home. City Kitty, their vets and staff took care of Lionel his entire life, from yearly checkups and rabies shots, to a medical emergency a few years back. While they may not be the cheapest option for pet care, they are the only ones I trusted Lionel with, and still trust my cat Leo with. They let me hold Lionel after they administered the drugs to put him under, and then stay with my cat holding his paw while they administered the euthanasia drug. They treated him with kindness, reverence, and many of the employees even shared their own losses with me in my time of grief. I opted to get my cat cremated and receive his ashes. Two days ago, I received a card from City Kitty's staff. Two wonderful, handwritten messages from the staff at city kitty expressed their condolences for my loss, reassured me I did all I could, and conveyed their deepest sympathies. If you have a cat, take them to City Kitty for the care they need and deserve. When I first brought Lionel to them, I was just out of college and didn't have much money. They let me pay monthly instead of turning me away when I informed them I had to know how much the shots and care was going to cost for my newly rescued best friend. Animal lovers can tell each other apart, and every member of the City Kitty family are pet lovers through and through, of both their own pets, and yours.

First, I never post reviews unless there is something exceptional that occurs. My cats had an appointment for their annual exam. Before those appointments, One of them got into a cat fight. I called City Kitty and they adjusted their schedules to see my cats that day. They were so gentle with my cat who had been in a fight. They made me feel like he was in good hands and ensured he would not be in pain. You can tell they are all people who love cats, but they also are good with people. I trust that they are doing what is right for my cats and charging me what's appropriate. The staff is friendly and caring, and I feel like their favorite kitty owner when I have to visit (for annual check ups or an emergency). Dr. Lund always comes into the room with a big smile and great energy. She takes time to listen to all my concerns (this crazy cat lady comes up with some good ones-why can't my cat eat cheese puffs?). When one cat had to be put to rest, they were compassionate and let me hold her while she passed on. I wish my own doctors treated me with that much respect. They actually care about (and are knowledgeable about) cats; you won't be rushed through for the sake of time or money or whatever else, and you will be scolded if you're not doing right by your cat. The techs and vet were extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I didn't feel rushed through the appointment like at previous places and they really took the time to answer all of my questions. They explain all of the charges and fees prior to running the tests so there were no surprises when the bill was presented. Sky was a gem on the phone and just as concerned about Baloo and him feeling poorly that she squeezed us in, not wanting a feline friend to be suffering!! Zoomed on in and they had a cancellation, so even better -- Dr. Palmer and all the crew at CK where awesome!!! they looked Baloo over gave him hydration and some antibiotics, some meds for home and lil'Baloo is feeling much better!!!!

City Kitty is incredible. My newly adopted cat seemed lethargic/low appetite/pretty out of it after a few days, and the first vet I called basically brushed me off and told me not to worry about it. CK heard me out, and not only squeezed me in for a next day appointment, but gave me actually helpful advice over the phone for what to try to get him to eat/drink. Turns out he had a really nasty upper respiratory infection and DEFINITELY needed to see a vet. They gave me some meds, food & advice and he was up and at em again the next day, and then they called on a Saturday morning (!) to check in and give me an update on his bloodwork. It felt like I had been coming there for years. These folks are MAGNIFICENT.

Cats Only!...this is a great idea. These are thoughtful, caring people working in a calm, sort-of-quirky space. For me, taking my little buddy here is an EASY experience; it is in town (the shorter the trip in the carrier, the better), they seem pretty flexible in scheduling, and best of all, there isn’t the commotion from dogs. I love dogs, but at my last vet there would always be a few pups in the waiting room exasperating what is already a stressful situation. This, and the fact your kitty is trapped in a carrier and in a strange place around strange people and likely ill to boot can make many cats feel unsafe. Basically, night and day. There are few reviews criticizing the pricing of this vet. This hasn’t been my experience. Going to the doc is expensive whether you are a person or a cat. Cost-wise, I would say City Kitty is roughly on par with other vets. I've been to 3 in the area. I'm sorry, but I see NO WAY that this vet is 2-3 times the cost of going to one of their competitors.

We have been taking our two cats here for years. Even after moving 45 minutes away from Providence we still happily drive our cats there. Most of our time at City Kitty has been routine checkups until very recently. Our cat Dwight has some serious health issues and CK has been great about getting a quick diagnosis, explaining the treatment options, and being compassionate in the process. Love this place. I needed to bring my cat back to my country, and they help me a great deal. They explain everything in details for me and are happy to help. After a while, I moved to New Jersey for a one year working contract, and I found out that they need to change some information on the documents. Since I’m in New Jersey, it’s pretty inconvenient for me to go back to Rhode Island. They actually mail all the documents I need to my place, Twice! Very good customer service. Dr. Mercurio was recommended to us by our previous vet, so that's what first brought us to City Kitty. At the time, one of our kitties was having a difficult time adjusting to her new environment and Dr. Mercurio helped us navigate those behavioral issues, which our cat was over within a couple of days of that vet visit, after we tried what Dr. Mercurio advised us to do. Our other two cats have chronic health issues that have to be monitored and we feel that they are getting the best possible care from all of the vets and the staff at City Kitty. We've never had a negative interaction with anyone there. We particularly appreciate that after even a routine checkup we get a follow-up phone call within a day or two.

Every person who works at City Kitty is a fan of felines and an animal lover. We have received excellent care and service on our visits. We adopted an adorable 15 year old torti from the SPCA several months ago. City Kitty performed a thorough exam and workup to make sure she would be in tip top shape for the rest of her senior years, and also microchipped her. They are also good about reminders on checkups. I love receiving computer based reminders, as well as the ability to check on our cat's records online. My 4 year old daughter is a cat lover, and everyone from the attending vet to the staff members answered her countless questions with patience and good humor. When my daughter asked if they had a cat skeleton she could see, lo and behold! They did indeed have one, which they let her examine. I also have to say that the clinic has a homey feel to it, with lots of amusing cat artwork and decorative items, and a resident cat who keeps everyone company in the waiting area. We love City Kitty and wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

City Kitty has been one of the best veterinary clinics I have ever needed to use. My almost 6 year old black cat one day about a month back started peeing blood and my husband and I were not sure what to do. After calling them on Friday afternoon they set us up with an emergency appointment. They staff there was so kind and helpful. The appointment went well and I was given very clear instructions on how my husband and I should monitor her care. Another thing I want to talk about is the bill. I know that this may seem strange but hear me out, I have never seen such a clearly stated itemized bill before. Everything that was done, from medications to cost of different tests, was clearly stated. If I had any questions about anything it was explained. I don't get that sort of clarity on my own medical bills. If we ever need more medical treatments for our I know we will be returning here in the future.

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at City Kitty! I called at 4:30 PM on a Friday when I noticed my cat Vinny was showing signs of an ear infection. I did not want him to suffer through the weekend, and the staff was kind enough to fit me in right before closing for the weekend. The techs were so unbelievably kind, patient, and gentle with Vinny, and I knew instantly that Vinny was in good hands with them. Dr. Mercurio was also extremely gentle and informative, and she patiently answered all of my questions, even at 5 PM on a Friday. Overall, this was the sweetest and most patient vet staff I have ever encountered, and there is no doubt that they are passionate about and highly skilled at what they do. We're brand new transplants to Providence, and came across City Kitty during a walk down Hope. Our almost 7 year old cat, Samwise, was due for her annual and rabies, and I liked the look of City Kitty so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try, and we're glad we did. The staff was very friendly, and full of compliments about Samwise, which is always a plus. :) Dr. Mercurio answered all our questions and took quite a bit of time to talk with us. I really appreciated that the results of her parasite screening were available immediately, that was a first for any vet visit, in my experience. The cost of the appointment was reasonable, we didn't get a hard sell on any services or products, and we got a good deal on Sam's heart worm preventative. All and all, as long as we're in Providence we have our vet.

Hello City Kity, Just wanted to thank you so much for putting my mind at ease with my beautiful kitty Sasha. She’s been a part of my family for the last 18.5 years and we absolutely adore her!!! So when she started coughing and getting thinner, we became really concerned especially since she’s an older kitty. Plus we never want her to be uncomfortable in any way. So the post below I must have not finished or hit the wrong button, so this is an update to an update. City Kitty was again just awesome for us this month. We've been fostering a hospice cat with Cancer, Buddy, for about 7 months. He was given 6 weeks to live when we first got him, but with City Kitty's care he made it an astonishing 7 months!!! It's tough to write a review when you lose an animal that you've bonded with, but City Kitty really helped me with Buddy's passing. Unfortunately, Buddy died suddenly a few weeks ago while I was away on a business trip and my wife found him. It's not how we wanted him to go, but higher powers had different plans. My wife, Nicole, who was very shaken up had to bring Buddy to City Kitty by herself. I called and spoke to Lance and he said don't worry, they'd be waiting for her. When she drove up Lance immediately went out to the car before she even went inside, grabbed Buddy and took him in for her. He spent time with Nicole and consoled her in my absence. What a wonderful vet tech he is. The next week I went to pick his remains up. I walked in and one of the new techs was at the front desk. I said I was there to pick up Buddy. He started looking into the computer to see what was going on. I was really having a hard time keeping it together and I kept saying to myself, "please don't make me say I'm here to pick up my dead cat" but again, Lance was right there. He spotted me as he was walking in the back room and said, "Hey Brian, I'll get Buddy for you". He brought him out and talked with me with total compassion and knew what a hard time I was having. To top it off, we received a wonderful hand written note from both Dr. Lund and Dr. Mecurio expressing their sympathy. City Kitty, and ESPECIALLY Lance are just top notch!!! Thank you for being there for us and just being amazing!!! As an update to my previous review (below), we just rescued a little kitten who has had a rough first 5 months (lost his right front leg, had some little wounds on his legs/body and was shy and scared) and City Kitty squeezed us in on the same afternoon I called to ask if they would look at him if we took him from the shelter right away. Kathleen, Lance and Dr. Mercurio were simply wonderful!!! They got us right in, assessed little Oliver and treated him for all of our concerns. We took him home that same night, and within hours he was looking around to play with our other cats. It's almost like he knew we and the staff at City Kitty were there to do nothing but help him. City Kitty is a WONDERFUL vet, and I can't say enough nice things about them. The level of care they provide is awesome!!! City Kitty City Kitty is simply amazing. When our little girl Callie was diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Lund and the team's level of compassion and care were simply amazing. A special mention must be made to Jill. She genuinely cared and loved Callie from the beginning to the end, and her compassion was great comfort to my wife and me. When it came time to put Callie down, Dr. Mercurio was patient, understanding and kind. We know that Jill and the entire team at City Kitty made Callie's last months the absolute best that they could be, and we're forever greatfull!

Even though he can be very difficult to handle b because he gets so scared and becomes combatative, they talk to him and handle him with living care.
