Dr. Abadie is an amazing veterinarian. He cares for our kids with compassion, love and kindness. He spends the time needed to go over everything we need to take the best care of our cats and dogs. If all veterinarian were are kindhearted as Dr. Abadie, we wouldn’t travel 50 miles to see him.

Sam is the boom! Sweet and informative it was a pleasure and refreshing to talk with her. She really nows her stuff! Dr. Lauren is awesome and I was very comfortable with her and knew she would take excellent care of my precious Tizzy, while I had to leave her for x-rays and blood work and everything worked out fine with my kitty! My appointment for my cat was this week. We had never seen the Sr. Dr. Abadie before. What a treat! He was so good with my cat! She fell in love with him and I think I did too a little bit. He was so gentle with her and so thorough. She’s a 14 year old cat and she never had such a great examination as she had with Dr. Abadie. . I was very impressed with his professionalism and his knowledge. Old school all the way for me and my cat. We felt so comfortable with the doctor. I will not be leaving the clinic until Dr. Abadie does. He’s that caring of a doctor!!!

We had a very sick cat we brought him in to Abadie Vet without an appointment but were told by the receptionist who was very nice, that we could wait and they would work us in. It didn't take long to be seen. Brian the technician was very gentle and professional. Dr Guillory came in and was so compassionate and gentle with our sick cat. We recently adopted our 13 yr old grandpup..He is not established at a veterinary clinic yet when he suddenly had swollen face due to a bad tooth..We were able to get a same day appointment for our boy.. Dr Tiffany and her were awesome..They took their time with us answered every ? we had and they were absolutely wonderful with Chevy !! By the next day swelling was down he is feeling much better..This will be the vet we choose !!

We had an opportunity to do a last minute cruise while visiting New Orleans but had no one to care for our Lucy... Scary to find people you don't know to care for your pet. We researched lots of possibilities and found Abadie Vet group. When I called in the gal who answered was wonderful and made feel so comfortable. She didn't rush me and answered all my questions. So we booked our stay for Lucy with them. Lucy had little anxiety from being away from us. She was not sick. The Vet took time to call us and kept us informed. Then when we picked her up they had just bathed her and she looked so darn cute and happy. Dr. Abadie came out and spoke to my husband and they had a great conversation. My husbands background is animal genetics. We couldn't of been happier with Lucy's care. She had incredible care. Would recommend the whole team over and over again!

All of the staff at Abadie treat my cat, Handsome, like he is actually their own personal pet. And he likes them to. He never minds going there as you can tell by his calm, relaxed behavior. On my most recent visit he was seen by a "fill in" Vet whose name, I think, was Dr. Young. She was great with him AND ME, taking her time to answer all of my questions and explain everything to me.

I had an appointment for my dog's yearly check up and vaccines with my Dr. Killian, but Dr. Abadie came in the room. I figured Dr. Killian must have had an emergency. No big deal. Dr. Abadie examined my dog, gave him his shots and handed me the rabies tag and license. He said he looks good for his age. My dog is only 2, so I questioned this and looked at the paperwork he gave me. It was not my dog's, it was for an 11 yr old dog. I told him this and they realized they my dog in the wrong room. I'm not very confident about them not double checking which animal they are providing care for.

I called Abadie Vet for something that was an emergency to me, but it may not have been to them, yet they still had me come in that day! They saw my puppy who has a lot of issues. I took him to another Vet, and they were still having me wait a full 2 weeks before seeing him again, when he was getting worse. So I called here because I heard from numerous people how good of a place it is, and that’s when I went for the first time. When we went, we were taken to a room very quickly. They thoroughly took care of my puppy. The Vet checked him all over, and completely took cate of every single thing, way more than why I took him in initially. I did not feel rushed, and the Vet & tech were extremely genuine, and so we’re the girls at the front desk. What I really respected is the Vet didn’t have a problem saying the phrase “I don’t know”, and she was hesitant to start an initial medical process due to the concern of the effects it may have on my pet. It showed me that she was definitely more concerned about the well-being of my puppy more than money. I walked out of that office very satisfied and I was so happy that I found this clinic. So like people that I’ve heard say, and that I’m now saying, you won’t regret taking your pet to Abadie Veterinary Hospital. It will more than likely be where you remain. I’m not switching all of my animals to this clinic!

I have used Abadie Veterinary Hospital since it opened in Harahan. I have always been able to call in the morning to see if I could drop off a pet on my way to work. Apparently now the phones are not answered until 8:00 am. I had to drive to the hospital, find out if I could drop off my cat, go home to get my cat, then drop off my cat. All of that took an extra 30 minutes. My cat did receive EXCELLENT care but the process of getting her her there was very inconvenient. I miss they way Abadie Vet used to be.

At this point, our pup has seen pretty much all of the vets at the clinic, and they are all FANTASTIC! Our dog recently visited for a skin allergy issue, and since it was around the time of his annual, they lumped that check up in with this one. Dr. Dubuc was able to make great suggestions for the allergy issue, and also change our pup to a much easier heart worm preventative and flea/tick preventative measure. Abadie Veterinary Hospital is the ONLY place I will/would ever take my 4-legged babies. Dr. Folse is our Dr. of choice and she is amazing to say the least. She shows to be a true animal lover and is the most upfront and honest person I've come across with experiences at vets. Luna will never see another vet. We highly recommend them for all of your pets needs.

In 1998 I found myself searching for a new veterinarian. I wasn’t happy with the one I’d been seeing. I had taken my cat Skeeter to him because I could tell he was losing weight and knew something was wrong. His comment was “He weighs more than the last time he was here”. He didn’t really seem interested in checking him any further. At that point I knew I had to find someone else. I looked in the phone book and decided to try Abadie Veterinary Hospital, and I’m so glad I did! Although I ended up losing my cat to cancer, the care he got was wonderful! I’ve come to think of Dr. Abadie, Dr. Perronne and the staff as family. I’ve gotten the greatest care for the many fur babies I’ve had over the years. I’ve recommended them to many people and all have the same opinion of him and the staff. If you want caring, compassionate people, go to Abadie Veterinary Hospital!

We have gone to Scott for years, and frankly I would not take my dogs to any other vet. Not only is he our pet's physician, but over the years he has become a good friend to Rod and myself. We have absolute confidence in him, and above all else we trust him with the care of our dogs. And I simply can not say enough about his entire staff. They are great. On ocassion we have had to see another vet in his office, and we have had nothing but great experiences on these ocassions as well. His office staff and the vet techs are also the greatest. They know us by name, give us personal attention, and care for our dogs as we would. We would never take our dogs to any other vet. We love Scott and his entire office of qualified staff members. Even the times we have lost one of our dogs they turned a awful situation into a bearable one. He has come to our home with four (4) of his techs to put our last Great Dane to sleep and help her cross over the Rainbow Bridge. He and his staff will never know what that meant to us. He and his staff sent cards and made calls to our home to make sure we were doing well. We have been out of state, had a problem with one of our dogs. We called him at his home several times, and when we got back into town the next morning he came right away and met us at his office. What more can you ask for? Our children are all grown with children of their own. Our animals have now and always have been our children. He knows that and he respects that! I just can't sing his, or his staff's praises enough. We love them all!

Normally and I have seen it time and time again, when you bring a dog to the Vet they don't want to exit the vehicle or do their best not to enter the clinic. When I arrive with mine they can't wait to get out of the car and go in to see who is there to greet them. Additionally, Ms. Lynn who performs grooming services is outstanding. She has a relationship with every pet she handles and again mine seem to love her. Scott Abadie is by far the best Vet in town or anywhere for that matter. My wife and I won't take our pets anywhere else.

My puppy was very small when I got her, weighing only 1.5 pounds. I accidently dropped her, and she was in distress. Dr. Abadie took her immediately, examined her and reassured me she was ok. I began going to this office after that. They have provided excellent care as she continues to grow. She was just spayed and micro-chipped with no obvious trauma or ill effects. I just switched over and I am over the moon with the service I’ve received! I brought my dog Beignet to another vet over the last several months, complaining of her limping. The vet did not take a-rays, just said it was her arthritis getting worse. He upped her meds and sent me on my way. The first time Dr. Peronne met us, she thoroughly examined Beignet and immediately said the cause of her limp is most likely her knee cap popping out! We’ve only been to Abadie twice now, but we’ve already had x-rays taken of her hips and legs and have been referred to an orthopedic surgeon!
