The staff here is SO kind to my cats. They always have such great care and respect for me and my cats when we come in. One of my cats had a potty accident in our crate when he came in one time and while the doc was talking with me and reviewing everything the nurse was so sweet and helped clean everything up. They take such great care of us every time. I would highly recommend.

These folks really really care about our animals. We have a dog and 3 cats and everytime an issue occurs, I can count on Grassmere to treat the animals and to teach me. One of our cats had a pocket of infection rupture one afternoon just before closing time for the weekend. The doctor and staff stayed late so we could come get antibiotics. They truly are wonderful and I'm happy we take our pets to them.

Dr. Piper is amazing. She truly cares about my 2 dogs. She remembered that 8 years ago when she gave my dog his first shots he had an allergic reaction. When he got shots this time she gave him a shot of Benadryl, just to make sure we never have to repeat the scare from 8 years ago. She cares deeply about all animals well-being. I could go on and on but Dr. Piper will be out vet for as long possible!

Over the past 18 years my family has taken nine dogs to Grassmere. All our little ones have received compassionate, efficient care. I especially thank Dr. Walter Clark who has been our primary Vet. He is wonderful, and has truly saved my little Mille at lest twice.

We have been going to Grassmere since we lived on that side of town, and continued to take our cat and senior dog when we moved to Madison in 2018 in spite of being closer to other providers. We rescued 2 pit bulls in 2019 and 2020, one named Forrest who has a lot of fear and anxiety. Dr. Piper, Dr. Clark and Dr. B have all been so loving and patient with Forrest, our fearful boy. It means the world to us and Forrest now trusts them. We are so grateful for the team at Grassmere and will always rely on them to care for our family. I have been taking my pets here for as long as I can remember. Recently, my 15 year old shih tzu had a tumor removed from her eyelid. Dr. Piper did the surgery and her eye looks amazing, almost like nothing happened. I’m excited to see her heal and become her old self. I feel that Grassmere can offer the best care and would be capable of offering “no-limits” care recommendations but are also aware that many pet parents are most comfortable with basic, comprehensive care for their furry family members. I brought my two reactive dogs in for a wellness check 6/30/2022. Vet visits are always filled with anxiety for my dogs and I, and Dr. Piper made the visit extremely pleasant. She and the staff were patient, and welcoming. I called ahead of time to ensure there were no dogs in the lobby of the hospital that could be a possible trigger to my dogs, and the staff were understanding and accommodating. So sad that I am not a permanent Nashville resident, as I would love to take this hospital along with me on my travels. Highly recommend this vet for your beloved pets.

Have been going here my entire 43yrs of life. EVERYONE of my family let's have gone there. Have seen each and everyone of the Dr's. Each I'll add have been there 4 multiple years. Staff has always been GREAT. I had a 17yr cat going down hill quickly. Made a appt to see Dr.Cindy. She was awesome as always. Very informative about what was going on. Then let us make our decision... a VERY HARD ONE AT THAT!! We had Little One cremated and within a wk she was back home with us. They even took time 2 send a card. If you LOVE your fur babies you should bring them here..

I have had cats all my life and think the place is great. It's no-frills where it doesn't matter and rock-solid-excellent where it does and they pass the savings on the former back to you. They have helped me enormously in nursing a couple of elderly cats back to health including currently 17-year-old Rocky, who is my avatar. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. GREAT AT SAVING FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS!

Dr Piper has been the best Vet we've seen in Nashville. She is super sweet to my pups and treats them like children which they are. Joey and Lucy adore her and the peanut butter she has. Grassmere has been our vet for years now. Everyone there is a delight. Nobody in town can take better care of your pet than these folks. We have had several dogs over the years and all of them have had the best care ever. Even my daughters' pet rabbit was cared for here. Dr. Clark has been our main vet, but we have seen everyone at one time or another. The staff are amazing!

I've been to a few different vets recently, and I think covid has really put a strain on this industry because everything always feels very rushed and like everyone is stressed or like they don't have the time to really look for what's wrong. However, this wasn't the case at Grassmere. Dr Clark spent a considerable amount of time looking over previous medical records, listening to my cats heart/lungs (an area of concern for me) and answered lots of questions. My cat has had a few issues going on for a few months that no one really seems to know what's going on. While I still don't have a definitive answer, this is the first vet visit I didn't cry at or leave feeling like my cat is on the brink of death. My visit was less than $90, which also included a bag of food. I will definitely take him back here in the future.

Just started going here this year and have had really good experiences with two different vets. One was able to get rid of my cat's recurrent ear infection he'd had for over a year that my previous vet couldn't seem to figure out. Took my other cat in a month later for vaccines and a checkup and had a pleasant experience. The prices are WAY better than some other vets in the area. I will continue to use this vet!

EDIT: There is not enough I can say about this hospital. In the past 7 months we have lost two of our dogs, both at unreasonably young ages. Their care and compassion while explaining their conditions, and helping us deal with their end of life decisions were absolutely amazing. It is unfortunate that they know us now by our first names, even when we call. This is the only vet that we will ever use while we live in the Nashville area. They are amazing from their front office staff all the way to all of their amazing doctors. We love Dr. Brumbelow and Dr. Piper, but all of the other docs have been amazing as well. We are lifetime clients. Please take your pet there, they are amazing people. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have been taking my animals to Grassmere since we got our cat 5 years ago, and now I take all 3 of our animals to them (cat and 2 dogs). The staff is wonderful, the doctors always spend plenty of time to answer all of your questions, and their prices are always reasonable. I continue to go to them even though now we live in Smyrna. It is very much worth the drive. I wouldn't think about going anywhere else.

The team at Grassmere Animal Hospital always took really good care of my cats at an affordable price. The techs and front desk staff are attentive and friendly to you and your pets. Their lobby even has a separate area for cats, so you can wait in peace for your appointment. Dr. Cindy Brumbelow always recommended multiple treatment options, including starting with the most conservative option, and working up from there. I never felt like anyone tried to oversell me anything here. Sadly, we moved to another state, but I highly recommend GAH to anyone looking for a new cat vet in Nashville.

I’ve been going for 3 years now. Dr. Walter Clark is willing to sit and explain everything they’re doing, all the options and any questions you have. I could not have asked for a better vet, and I simply stumbled upon them when I had just rescued my pup and I needed to get her into a vet quickly for bloody diarrhea. They got me in within hours and were helpful and empathetic. It feels like a small town family business. Highly recommend.

I used to take my cats to Nashville Cat Clinic, but my husband recommended Grassmere as it’s closer to us and generally more affordable. I had seen Dr Brumbelow before and I liked her, but after Dr Piper squeezed me in one morning after I woke up to find my beloved tabby had passed away- I’m pretty loyal to her now. I bring in my remaining elderly cat and our new young cat to see Dr Piper. She’s gentle and patient, and you can tell she cares and genuinely likes cats (some vets are clearly only DOG people!). Supporting staff are always helpful too.

Staff is AMAZING! I had a pet emergency (cat Lilly was having seizures and tremors) and you can walk in on Saturday mornings. They got us right back and saved her life and even left her IV port in should I have to take her to an emergency vet over weekend. I brought her back on Monday for follow up and she was sent home and recovered after just as predicted by Dr. Clark. Love these people♡

Very happy with our experience! Referred here by Miss Kitty's Bed & Bath after recently moving to Nashville from out of state. Even though we only came in for a vaccination update only, Dr. Clark took his time examining each of my dogs even though I didn't pay for an exam. I've taken both of my cats there. This last time we went, we went in as an emergency. My cat came home one day after being missing, and his eye was scratched out. Freaking out, I ran him over to the vet and told them I thought my cat was dying. They took him in immediately and checked him over. Luckily only his eye was injured so they did an eye removal surgery that day. The doctor was AMAZING and gave me all the steps necessary for a good recovery. Unfortunately they found that he had FHIV as well and talked to be about everything that comes with that. I was scared how much everything would cost, but the wonderful ladies up at the desk helped me set up a payment plan that suited me. I'm so lucky to have this animal hospital so close to me. They are absolutely amazing.

We have been going to Grassmere for over 20 years and completely trust them. Dr. Clark is wonderful with our dogs and always take his time explaining everything that is going on with them and never, ever makes us feel rushed. I like to ask alot of questions and he is so patient with me in giving me the information I requested. All of the staff is great. Our 17 year old had to be euthanized and it was at their closing time when the decision was made. They all patiently waited for my mother to drive there (over 20 minutes) to say goodbye to our pup. It was long after closing time before we were through and no one ever made us feel rushed. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Clark or his staff. I highly recommend Grassmere!

I absolutely adore this vet! Drs. Piper and Brumbelow in particular are fantastic, and the support staff is very friendly. We used to take our pets to a more "value" minded vet, but we actually pay less here and our cats are no longer stressed out during or after their visits; they used to come home and the ones that went to the vet were very agitated and the ones who didn't reacted poorly. That's not been a problem since we made the switch. Even better, they saved one of our cat's life, correctly identifying her feline hepatic lipidosis and intervening immediately with a feeding tube. Even if I move across town, I'm never taking my animals anywhere else!

At 6pm we brought our brand new retired racer in with a cut paw. Not only did they treat her like a princess up front, the staff was amazing all around. We had two follow ups and each time we left thinking we had someone in our corner if anything should happen to our Pup. You would think with service like that we would have paid up the nose but thats not true, they have fair prices and amazing people. Any fellow greyhound owners know how hard it is to ensure the vet knows the odd nature of your hound, but with GrassmereI had no worries. I would recommend them to anyone for any type of pet. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I brought my kitty in with some bladder troubles and they went above and beyond taking care of him and myself! They took the time to tell me what was going on, let me call every morning to see how he was doing while he was in the hospital, let me come and visit him when I asked, and even called the next day once I brought him home just to see how he was doing. Just excellent care for both the pet and parent.

Dr Piper and all the staff are the best. My dog had a reaction to some flea stuff I had put on him. He was having seizures. He was going to die. They took him in and started treating him immediately. They literally saved his life. They deserve 10+ stars.

My husband and I were traveling through Nashville (from Georgia to Indiana) Thursday afternoon and found a little puppy on the side of the road. We tried animal control and a few other vets and got nothing but frustrated from the runaround. Until we called Grassmere. They are wonderful people and didn't hesitate for a moment when we asked if they would be able to help. They had us bring the puppy right into the office and asked for nothing in return. In fact, they seemed surprised when we offered a donation. I would absolutely take our pets to Grassmere if we lived in Nashville.

Our rabbit was hopping around with a slightly different stance than normal and was favoring one leg more. Thought she had a small broken bone or dislocation, so we went in to have her examined. X-ray showed no breaks, so she was prescribed an anti-inflammatory and pain reducer (she's just getting a bit older) and she has been progressively getting better!

I tried Grassmere after trying out several other vets in the area when I got my first dog back in 1996. After mentioning to Dr Lambeth that I was interested in natural remedies for my dog, he pulled out his big homeopathic book and began giving me suggestions. I knew this was our guy right away and he took special care of Sammie her whole life. In addition to always thoroughly explaining every condition I ever brought my girl in for, he took the time to give me park suggestions, dog diet tips, etc. When Dr Lambeth was out, we did at one time or another see all of the other doctors in the office and each were very thorough and caring. I’ve never had anything but positive experiences with any of the doctors or staff at Grassmere. Additionally, I’ve always found their prices to be fair and reasonable.

They whole entire staff was very supportive....in my difficult situation....it was hardest thing to do for me...Dr Clark took timeout n staff as well to guide me thru my struggle of watching my dog struggle with a cancer tumor cell...Dr Clark even went above more than I could ask for to listen and helping me understand my options....I want to say thank you for everything to everyone who work at Grassmere...I miss my little brown eyed little bella girl...daily...again Thank you for everything it was truly a great place to go to...
