This place is a gem for pets and their parents. After having an unsatisfactory visit at Banfield hospital at san Felipe we decided to give this place a chance based on the google reviews and ratings. The staff is super polite and check in process is super smooth. The place was busy and I can see why. Because they are awesome. I even met a person who was regularly coming to this place for last 8-10 years. Dr. Stone and his assistant were super considerate and knowledgeable. They took their time to explain the issue with our cat. Dr. took her time to go through the file of my pet to see the history. She explained all our options with advantages and disadvantages of the treatments. She answered all our questions patiently. Overall it was a great visit and we got all the answers to our questions. The prices are reasonable as well. For the same treatment Banfield quoted almost double. Kudos to the everyone working at this Hospital.

The staff is always very friendly, professional and helpful. I have been going to them for more than 5 years. They have taken the time to know me and my dogs. We moved further away but the drive is worth the service. I love that they understand that pets are valuable members of a family and they treat them as such. The office hours are very convenient. I have been able to schedule a vet appointment after work. They usually book an appointment within a week or less, depending on service that I need. The staff always answer the phone with a friendly voice and I can tell they love what they do.

This was our first visit with our new rescue dog. Dr. Stone was excellent. She insisted on a thorough search and discovered a second chip on our Rescue Dog, so we will now be able to register both numbers. She answered all our questions and helped us with a specific food recommendation and bathing instructions for our new dog's sensitive skin. Very reasonably priced.

The whole team is just so kind when it came to all three of my kittens (Jasper, Malcolm, and Axel) and even Atticus. They worked with us to be able to keep costs down and even taught us how to care for Atticus overnight when he had the catheter. Even the day after they took the catheter out and I had anxiety about if he had reblocked. They truly are the kindest people in veterinary medicine I’ve ever met. Thank you all so very much.

We have taken our dog, Snobol, to Beechnut Animal Hospital for the past 6 years. When she was just two years old she needed surgery because she tore the ligaments in her knee. The hospital did a rope technique which has lasted her all these years. She doesn't seem to have arthritis in that knee, which she would have if we didn't have that surgery. The people at the front desk are wonderful. They are polite and courteous. We have boarded our dog there for several times. The people that take care of her are so kind, and she comes back home so happy even after a week stay. They have walk-in gated run kennels. They even called me when I was in Europe to tell me that she wasn't eating, and if they could try something else. I recommend Beechnut Animal clinic to all my friends.

Beechnut Animal hospital has the most caring staff and veterinarians I have ever encountered. I drive 25 miles because they are the best. They take their time explaining the situation and answer any questions in detail. They call to remind you of an appointment and try to squeeze you in if you need to see a vet right away. Their boarding facilities are wonderful! All of the staff genuinely care about each pet. My dog loves going to Beechnut Animal hospital!

They we're great. They explained everything very completely, taught us how to trim our dogs nails and clean his ears. Said we could come in to just use the weight scale anytime to weigh our dog. They were very good with the dog as well too.

I feel so fortunate to have found Beechnut. We started visiting them when my dog tore her ACL in 2015. The staff was incredible, the surgery was a great success and she recovered quickly. She is currently hospitalized with them, getting treatment for acute pancreatitis and kidney failure. I don’t know if she is going to pull through, and it is awful. But what I do know is that I wouldn’t want to be going through this at any other place. Dr. Slack and Dr. Stone have been amazing, as has everyone else [extra shout-out to Ms. Patricia who has been with me each step of the way]. They are doing everything they can to turn things around while keeping my baby comfortable, and that is the only thing I could ask for. Thanks, y’all.

Starting from staff at front desk till I left the hospital, I had a very good overall experience. My dog is a very nervous and shy dog. Dr Slack and her assistant was very patient with my dog and helped calming her down. I went there to get help for two issues 1. my dog swallowed a piece of plastic, 2. My dog had eye conjunctivitis. Dr Slack diagnosed the issue and clearly explained the treatment plan. I was let in and was allowed to stay inside throughout the treatment process. Also I appreciate doctor’s assistant for taking time and answering all my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Slack.

Dr. Sarah Slack and her staff were professional and courteous to a fault. Not only was my appointment on time but they were accommodating and very sensitive to mine and my pets needs. They took the time to do a very thorough examination and explained every step. They went through all of the treatment options available to us and allowed me to decide the best course of action without any pressure. They gave me the information I needed to make the right choice as well as layed out future treatment options for us all at a very reasonable cost to me. Very happy with Beechnut Animal Hospital. I was able to bring both cats in the day I called thanks to a cancellation. Dawn in reception was very personable and helpful; Julie the vet technician was kind and gentle with my 2 yo and 20 yo cats. Dr. Slack took time to discuss my concerns re: my elder kitty during the appointment and the next day when she called to discuss blood work results for my elder kitty. All-in-all, great service especially given how busy this practice appears to be. I'm very relieved to have found such a good veterinary home for my fur-babies.

When I walk into Beechnut Animal Hospital, I know that my two dogs will be given the best possible care. The well-trained staff are a pleasure to work with. I am always met by friendly and compassionate workers. Patricia stands out. This smart lady works hard to see that everyone who visits the facility has a positive experience. Doctor Matt is a person of integrity and extremely knowledgeable. He is a great diagnostician and a very skilled surgeon. This dedicated vet is always caring and compassionate. He goes above and beyond what is expected. One example of this is that he returned to his office at 9:00 PM to check on my very sick dog. He then called me to tell me that she was better. He takes time to explain all the issues He listens carefully and answers all my questions. All this is offered at a very reasonable price. I completely trust Dr. Matt. This trust is based on the treatment he has given my two Corgis. Beechnut Animal Hospital is by far the best .animal hospital I have ever used. .

The staff and Dr. Greg Matt are amazing! I will be changing vets because of my experience. (Daisy's regular vet could not see her until the next day & suggested I take her to an emergency clinic). This hospital was recommended by a friend. They were able to get me in the same day. They are very professional and provided estimates for the various options for treatment which was wonderful! The office manager was very busy attending calls but still took the time to acknowledge I arrived and got to me as soon as she had a chance. From then on there was a bit of a wait but not too bad. When we were seen both the assistant and vet were very courteous & took the time to explain & answer any questions I had. We set up a plan for my smallest pup who currently has a few issues going on but everything was explained in detail. The quality of service is 100% worth the wait. We weren't rushed in and out and that speaks volumes on the care they show to each patient.

I’ve been bringing my little boy here for the past couple months and I don’t have a negative thing to say about them. I’ve never had a senior dog with health issues but they have been extremely wonderful at answering my questions and taking care of my little boy. The staff is all extremely friendly and very nice and the vets have been amazing as well. Never in all my years of going to a vet have I been as pleased with my experiences . Especially now being able to go back into the room with them vs waiting in my car seeing how gently they handle my dog makes all the difference as well. Beechnut animal hospital is a wonderful place and I will continue to use them for my little boys care !

Honestly, they are the most incredible doctors and staff I have met. The staff, especially Patricia, are so sweet and informative and they do everything they can to put you at ease. They are so kind and thorough and respectful of your wallet. Been to three different vets and I dropped them all to go to Beechnut Animal Hospital, solely on their kind hearts and professional attitude. The doctors and vet techs are wonderful to work with! I can always call and they will give me an answer. Only downside is: I wish they were open on Sundays.

My dog has been to Beechnut a number of times over the years. I haven't always been able to go to them because we have moved around a lot but when I have they have always been the absolute best to both of us. Recently they helped her cross over to the next life and they were extremely kind, empathetic and compassionate to us both. I can't think them enough or recommend them highly enough for helping me through one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life.

I was particularly pleased that the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The waiting room was quite busy and I was able to observe a large amount of staff involved in the operations of this veterinary practice. I thought it a little odd though that short time tasks were given to the dogs right in the waiting room in front of everyone such as the Cytopoint injections. It was not a red light to me but it was still odd .

Love this place!! Amazing staff!! Explained all costs prior to treatment!! Very friendly!! Spoke with several people over the course of the visit. Felt like we were working with a group for one of our dogs needing a leg amputation. Plan on using them much more in the future:)!!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Beechnut Animal Hospital and the way they handle a crisis. My pup was hit by a car and the team was so amazing! They stabilized him and let me spend every minute with him, even going the extra mile to bring me a blanket to sit on the cold floor with him. They treated him like he was their own pup and explained everything they were doing every step of the way. He had to be transferred and they coordinated the whole thing so the hospital had everything they needed when we got there. They were so wonderful, caring and compassionate. And my pup is gonna make it - no doubt because of their quick, efficient work.

Incredibly friendly and helpful, had no trouble getting my dogs' old records, very transparent and forthright with pricing and procedure. My dog ate something that she wasn't supposed to and our regular vet service was unable to help us. So, I called Beechnut to request an appointment for x-rays and a consult. They set us up with an appointment one hour after I called, which was a huge relief. We arrived and the staff and doctor were very helpful and friendly. They put our minds at ease. My dog needed to have surgery and they were able to do it the next morning. The prices for all of the provided services were quite reasonable and this gave us peace of mind. Also they provided a thorough quote for the surgery and stayed within the budget. My dog had to stay overnight after surgery and the staff allowed me to come and visit her for as long as I wanted. Last, the doctor and staff communicated with me regularly about my dog and were happy to answer all of my questions. My family is so grateful to Beechnut Animal Hospital, and we appreciate everything they did to make this unplanned emergency not so traumatic.

First off, I’d like to emphasize the fact I hardly ever write a review for a place, unless I had an absolutely terrible experience OR an absolutely outstanding experience. In this case, it was an ABSOLUTELY outstanding experience. Our family dog Andrú randomly started yelping, so after researching various vets, we decided to bring him in to Beechnut Animal Hospital. Long story short, Dr. Slack did a physical exam and determined the root cause of his discomfort to be a dental infection. She recommended a dental cleaning and tooth extractions. I’ve always been terrified of having my dogs go under anesthesia, which I expressed my concerns to Dr. Slack. She was EXTREMELY professional, courageous, patient, and knowledgeable in explaining all the preventative measures they would take to prioritize the health of our beloved dog. She radiated confidence, honesty, and professionalism in the manner she communicated and explained each step of the procedure. For that reason, we decide to proceed with the surgery. In addition, the entire staff was extremely kind and patient in addressing any concerns or questions. They provided an estimate of the cost of the procedure after the physical exam, which they definitely prioritized in staying within the price range. They are not out to get your wallets like many other vets. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Slack and the staff did an outstanding job in providing updates prior, during, and after the surgery. The entire team truly does care about the animals and their owners. They went the extra mile to provide peace of mind especially since they knew how anxious I was about the procedure. I simply cannot express how impressed and thankful I am for their quality service. Thank you, Dr. Slack and the entire staff for a truly remarkable and professional experience. I have been going to this vet for a few years. There is minimal doctor turnover, and the docs are always great. The nursing staff is beyond. They are so caring towards my dog and myself. They work hard to give a fantastic experience, both because they are friendly and caring, but because they also work hard to get a you a good deal. I have visited for everything from minor check-ups to major surgery. I live on the other side of town and insist on going there because of how much I like it. A full five stars.

Beechnut Animal Hospital has been caring for my dogs and me for more than 20 years. They treat me like family and my dogs as if they are their own. I had a rough time recently when my 4 year old pom had elevated liver enzymes and decreased liver function. Through their prescriptions and referral to a specialist and advice on diet her liver function is now normal and she may no longer need medication. My dog has seen every vet at Beechnut and they were all knowledgeable and attentive. I cannot say enough positive things about the front office staff. That are the best. For several years now i have been using the services of Beechnut Animal Hospital, I have never had any complaints about the service of their team or the treatment they have given.my Pets. That being said I did have a horrible horrible experience not to long ago with one of the new Veterinarian's they had added to their team. I can say that I am still using them as my pets Vet, This Is mostly Because of the great service i had always had and because of Patricia Cuevas. She actually took the time to speak with me and listened to my complaint in regards to that one vet. Beechnut animal hospital amazing!! Dr. Carmen is extremely nice and knowledgable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Iris does an amazing job making my dog feel at ease (I think he might actually enjoy going to the vet) and figuring out the problem and solution. I have been going to BAH for years after Banfield tried to over charge me for my dog's tooth surgery and Beechnut did a great job for half the price. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone I know that needs these services for their pet.

Very happy and thankful I found this place because of Iris! My fur babies are always taken care of here and never leave super traumatized! The whole team is compassionate and answer all my questions with detail. Started coming here during COVID so I’ve never been allowed in the rooms, but I know my dogs are in good hands always. When necessary the doctors will discuss a case and make decisions as a team on how to move forward and proceed. Advice was provided to me to avoid an expensive surgery, which worked out wonderfully. I’ve gone to plenty of vets and hospitals over the past 3 years & this is hands down the place to take your pet. This is also the only place I’ve come back to more than once. All members were AWESOME!!!! I especially LOVED how they worked with Cuddles. I am traveling from out of town and my home vet insists on my dog wearing a muzzle for all services. Not one person, from the front desk, to the techs to the doctors, feared Cuddles. They did not need or desire a muzzle and Cuddles felt VERY COMFORTABLE. The vet even sat down on the floor to try to get to know Cuddles. I wish we could clone this entire clinic and move it to the Rio Grande Valley. With this type of service, they would be guaranteed a huge business in no time.

Honestly amazing place! I was so afraid of my new puppy Pepper not being able to be seen after realizing that she likely had kennel cough. I called and was met with nothing but love and respect from everyone. I was so impressed with my veterinarian who took so much time with me to explain everything including information unrelated to her cough. I honestly believe I have found my new veterinarian! The entire staff at this clinic is amazing!! I will always be thankful after being rejected by many clinics who required thousands upfront to save my dog after being attacked by a Pit bull. They helped by caring for my dog on the weekends, with special treatments and so much love when everyone else gave us no hope of survival! Vets at this clinic definitely are keepers :)

I couldn’t say enough good things about the Vets and staff of Beechnut Animal Hospital. My dog Hendrix was neutered in April but he was had cryptorchidism so the surgery was a little more involved, everything went well until a few days after the surgery and he developed an infection. I took him back and he ended up staying a few days with them. Dr. Slack and her staff took amazing care of him during a time I could not. The most recent instance was just this past weekend, I had him boarded because I had to go out of town, the day I was supposed to pick him up he broke out in a bout of bloody diarrhea, most likely from stress it was raining a lot that weekend and he hates thunder, Dr. Matt called me to let me know what happened and said he should stay overnight just for observation. Since I was supposed to pick him up that day they allowed me to go in and see Hendrix to ease my worries. I know any dog I bring to them will be given top notch care! They have very reasonable prices and they make sure to inform you of costs before anything is done to make sure that is a price you can work with. They have a customer for life!

Dr. Rodney was knowledgeable & patient with me even though I was multitasking (in a Zoom conference & taking phone calls) during our visit. If you want caring and professional vets and techs these are your people. They amputated my first dog’s leg after an accident and they were so kind to him . He lived to be 16 and when he passed I notified them and they sent us a card. Now we took our little chihuahua who was struggling to deliver, they did an emergency C section and were able to revive the puppy that was born without a hear beat! We had previously gone to the emergency 24 hour hospital in Sugar Land and they didn’t bother to look at her, claiming it was normal, to wait. My fur babies (two dogs, and a cat) have been patients at Beechnut for a little over 2-1/2 years. They have helped me through puppy care, routine care, specialized surgery referrals, old age arthritis and end of life between my two mastiffs. I started bringing my oldest mastiff in because I simply couldn't find a good vet in Houston, and travelling 1400 back to her old vet for annual vaccines just wasn't a lot of fun. (or practical, or cost effective, and a boat load of other reasons). The first time I brought her in, she was a little apprehensive. There must be a smell that veterinary facilities give off, because she hadn't willingly walked through the door at one in over 5 years. She did her typical sniff, sniff, and gave me the "mom, why are we here?" look. After we got in and settled in the exam room, Dr. McBride greeted us with loads of positive energy, a smile, and treats... (bribery isn't above any of us). From that day forward, she was actually happy when we got there and excited to see her people friends in the blue scrubs. They were able to provide an effective option for the management of her progressing arthritis, with minimal (read: no) side effects. It was cost effective, worked WONDERFULLY, and had none of the side effects that we had experienced with other medications. When I got a puppy they were great, even though the puppy (now 2 years old) judges everyone and prefers that you don't look at her, touch her, or speak to her, unless you are one of her people. She has let the Doctors and techs examine pimples on her chin, clip her toe nails (not an easy feat - I have scars to prove it), manipulate her legs, shoulders, elbows and paws for x-rays, gotten micro-chipped (she did give the dirt eye after that one) and had multiple vaccines, injections, blood work and an infection treated. At this point my fur babies have been seen by every one of their veterinary staff and they are all great! When something comes up and we need to be seen right away, the ladies at the front desk work their magic and are able to get us in that same day, or early the next day. I could write a short novel about my experiences with Beechnut Animal Hospital, constantly singing their praises. They are reasonably priced, provide amazing care and compassion, have positive attitudes, are beyond helpful and genuinely care about every animal that walks, crawls, flies, is carried or limps through their doors! Beechnut Animal Hospital is one of the best clinics I have been to.

Took my cat here on an emergency visit sometime late November of 2017 when i noticed he was having problems urinating. i called before i went and they accepted my visit the same day in a few minutes with no problem. The wait wasn't long. My cat was tested and treated for his urinary infection at a reasonable price. No unnecessary treatment or procedure was even advised or pushed on me. Dr. Wheeler and his staff were courteous and professional. Dr. Wheeler even called me everyday to check up on my cat. I went in because my dog was limping. Dr. Matt is awesome, and the techs are incredibly helpful. My dog doesn't like being handled, and they were super comforting and accommodating to my dog, minding her anxiety and not forcing her to do anything too difficult. Dr. Matt is extremely thorough with his physical exams: he assured me that X-rays weren't necessary, but sent us home with anti inflammatory medication and directions to limit my dogs activity. It's been less than a week but she started showing improvements only a couple days later. Vaccinations are extremely fairly priced, as are all of her testing and medications. The most expensive thing I paid for was the three month heart-worm preventative injection, and it was still under $75. They do offer and urge you to take care of everything while you're there (vaxxes, preventative care) but it's all in the best interest of your dog. Dr. Matt is my new preferred vet of choice for my dog! Definitely recommend.

TL;DR: Low cost, great surgeon, did my surgery for $450 rather than $1200 at another hospital. Feels like a family ran place and could not ask for better. Please choose this for any situations. Lead up story on how we got to this hospital: We recently visited this hospital for an urgent situation. My cat had a severe skin infection and was in so much pain. To describe, she would scream if you even grazed her fur where the infection was. We addressed the situation firstly at Banfield, but they said they couldn't so anything. We then went to Westbury and they wanted to charge us $3000 for a total. A tech at Westbury then suggested Dr. Karvin (the tech's words, not mine), an awesome surgeon. We quickly rushed to Beechnut hospital in hopes to get help and they did the whole operation for ONLY 400!!! Westbury wanted to charge us for blood work, fluids, and overnight ICU care for $1200. This was not including any surgeries for my cat because "they didn't know what was going on". The estimate was easily over $2700. Coming to Beechnut hospital was an amazing choice and they really treat you like family. They're very friendly and is more of a "family-ran lunch diner" atmosphere. We've called and visited many vets, but this is our favorite. Thank you so much Dr. Karvin for saving my cat's life!

If I could give 10 stars I would. I was looking around for a clinic that would charge me a reasonable price to put down my dog. My old man had a cancerous bone tumor that grew so quickly that multiple vets gave him very little time. I was very nervous that this clinic would try to rush me because im a fairly young client and it was my first time here. They accommodated my family even though there was about 5 of us. They didn't treat us condescendingly because we were all teenagers or anything bad. The vet was an african american lady that was so patient and sweet. The vet tech was also nice and they both didn't mind that we were all bawling our eyes out. Truly sympathetic people. Took good care of us and I will remember that. Amazing vet practice. Even though my first visit was for something so heart wrenching they came through with flying colors.

We love the team at Beechnut Animal Hospital. All the Drs. and Vet Nurses are amazing with our family pets. They are kind, patient and caring! Our two dogs, Casidhe and Aileen, can be nervous going to the vet and the entire team of nurses and doctors are willing to work with our girls to make veterinarian trips more pleasant. Dr. Matt performed the tight rope cranial cruciate ligament repair on both Casidhe's knees and her surgery and recovery went more smoothly, than we could have ever imagined. Doctor Matt made himself available to answer all our questions and alleviate concerns as we navigated recovery. She's nearly two years post surgery and running and jumping like a pup again! Her sister, Aileen, gets an injection every 4 months to help control hip pain along with all her routine preventive care like blood work for her thyroid disease and heart worm screenings. We appreciate how thorough Dr. Matt and his team are when explaining our pet's needs to us. This is one of the best veterinarian hospitals we have ever been to.

We are switching to this clinic after seeing the difference in demeanor, sense of urgency, and overall customer service compared to our now-former veterinary clinic nearer to my home. My cat had been turned away from our regular vet without even a a cursory look or suggestion of where to go since they "didn't have any more appointments," (and only one person in the waiting area besides me). So I found Beechnut Animal Hospital on Google while in the that other vet's parking lot. Upon arriving at Beechnut Animal Hospital, I apologized to the receptionists for not having an appointment, but I had a cat with an injured eye and needed to know how serious it was. The clinic was busy with patients being dropped off and picked up, but even with all of this commotion, the receptionist didn't hesitate in telling me they could take a look at the cat. Then she emphasized they could take a look AND treat the cat even though I didn't have an appointment. In minutes, I was in an exam room with the cat and LeeAnn (such a genuinely gentle person). The cat was treated by Dr. Carmen (awesome young vet!), given meds, and I made a follow-up appointment for the cat. The entire visit was no more than 30 minutes. Not once did I feel that the staff was rushing things--they were just that efficient. I was not only impressed with their willingness to help a new customer without an appointment, but also with their friendliness, preparedness (they had a full staff running rather than a weekend skeleton crew), and their rates for services were very reasonable. Nothing like my old vet. My only criticism is that the music is a bit loud for a waiting area and reception desk, but I can deal with that. :)

Very professional vets. Extremely friendly 'front of house' staff. Very conscientious that not everyone can drop unlimited amounts of money on their pets. Bring your dog here if she's torn her ACL. We brought our dog here a year ago after our first vet gave us very bad advise about her torn ACL. We looked through the scholarly literature about repairing ACL and chose a procedure that Dr. Matt is a well known expert in doing. He took a lot of time with us, walked through all the literature again, and even determined that our dog could have a similar, but slightly less costly procedure. In the end everything worked out great and we couldnt be happier with the result. Subsequent visits and follow ups have always been handled professionally. Another thing i really appreciate is that the vets are very price conscientious and there's been a number of times he's found a less expensive alternative treatment/medication for my dog. And always lets me know how much it'll cost for everything before he moves forward. I Strongly recommend this practice.

If I could give a hundred stars I would. I saw a few places before I ended up here. I had never had a pet emergency in the past but had one with my cat recently. He was definitely very close to death and they were able to get him to pull through. The staff is incredible from the front to the back and of course the doctors are awesome as well. They call on their own with updates on your pet vs you having to hound them trying to find out what is happening with a plan of the day which I found to be quite a relief. And found it easy to stop worrying. If I were any of you I would stop google searching and go nowhere but here!! If you’re thinking of going anywhere else, Don’t!!!

*COMPASSIONATE, GENUINE, KIND, AND PATIENT* Beechnut Animal Hospital has been truly wonderful to me and baby boy Ozzy. We were first introduced to them when we saw Dr. Matt in 2013 for Ozzy's tight rope surgery to repair his knee when he tore is cranial cruciate ligament. This year at the end of November we came in for abdominal ultrasound due to some urinary issues Ozzy was having. Dr. Carmen was our Vet this time and she was quite pleasant. Very sadly we discovered that Ozzy has a tumor in his bladder. This was heartbreaking news and navigating what to do next was overwhelming for me. Through teary eyes I tried my best to discuss what this meant for us, all the while Dr. Carmen and her tech were EXTREMELY PATIENT and compassionate towards us, and displayed probably SOME OF THE BEST BEDSIDE MANNERS I HAVE EXPERIENCED AT AN ANIMAL CLINIC. I feared doing anything too invasive to my dog because he is nearly 12 years old. After some research I learned that Piroxicam (an anti-inflammatory drug) could benefit and even help treat bladder cancer...so I called Beechnut to see if this was something we might be able to try. I was also very worried because despite my best efforts to help Ozzy naturally it was becoming more difficult for him to urinate. This was the day before Christmas. It was not a drug they normally carried in house so they= receptionist talked with Dr. Wheeler about it (Dr. Carmen was out of town) and then special ordered it for us without me having to come in and pay for another appointment! Dr. Wheeler actually followed up with me on the drug as well and was very helpful. We picked up the Piroxicam the day after Christmas and Dr. Wheeler came out briefly recently to make sure I understood everything and what to expect or look for. Moving forward I decided to take Ozzy to see a specialist, and again, Dr. Wheeler called me and discussed options and gave me advice on everything that comes along with it. He basically walked me though on what to expect with the specialist. He also followed up with me and made sure that everything went accordingly and that I was able to make an appt as possible since Ozzy's situation was becoming more urgent. HE HAS BEEN VERY THOROUGH, KIND, AND PATIENT. The receptionist(s) have been very warm and helpful as well! And I thought I might mention Beechnut doesn't seem to want to stiff you on pricing like some clinics either. Overall I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic and their staff...and I couldn't be more pleased with their kindness and eagerness to help!

Dr Mann and his staff came my cat/s rescue last Friday morning. Told my cat needed his leg amputated by sugarland specialty hospital thursday afternoon after a dressing change. the ortho specialist could not do it until tuesday. all of the vet hospitals required the cat to be assessed for life threatening condition in order for the leg to be taken off prior to tuesday. Dr. Stuart Johnson who did my dog/s tplo two weeks prior refused to :get in the middle of this. Palms to Paws finally recommended beechnut animal hospital. Patricia answered the phone. told me to stop crying and took control of the situation. I was in front of Dr. Mann within one hour. The leg has a 75% chance of being saved. Caesar is doing excellent. pain to a minimum. Dr. Mann is extremely reasonable. i am doing 5 out of 7 dressing changes. sugarland specaity hospital refused to let me do any dressing change. All of the staff are attentive, concerned and engaging. this is a premier vet healthcare setting equipped to take care of urgent and emergent conditions. xray, operating room suites, a staff of 16. 4 vets. Dr. Mann also specializes in an alternative to tplo knee surgery for dogs. the tight rope procedure is not only more cost effective. the risk of infection is only 1 to 3% versus 6 to 8% for the tplo. you also have no other alternatives than redo the tplo with another tplo if one has complications or an infection. if an infection occurs with a tplo, it is a train wreck. all of the hardware needs to be removed. with the tight rope, it is only minimally invasive to removed. Dr. Mann has a very low infection rate. 1%. i intend to have him perform the tight rope in my dog/s other knee. Beechnut Animal Hospital is a unique discovery. As an advanced practitioner and hospital administrator, i rate this facility an A plus. I am truly blessed to have to been rescued by Dr. Mann and his staff. Caesar/s leg looks very very good. no fever. resting. i am very very pleased!!!!
