I would highly recommend Crawford Animal Hospital. Dr Schneider and the staff understand our special needs dog. She has tried to attack previous vets and staff we have taken her to. I’m so happy we found Crawford Animal hospital! And so is Remi! She still not happy going to the vet…. But has not tried to attack any of the staff or Dr. Schneider. They take time with her and do not overwhelm her like previous vets she has been to.

Excellent staff and communication. We just adopted our Australian Cattle Dog Mix and needed a new vet, so I looked on-line for a vet near us and read a ton of reviews. So we tried Crawford, from the first call to check prices and available appointments the person who answered the phone was very helpful and answered all my questions. We were able to get an appointment right away. When we arrived, the person at the counter asked for our dogs name (Shilo) which I liked because it was her appointment. We got in the room ( within 5 min of our scheduled time) and saw on the white board Shilo's name. The vet assistant, Jessica was wonderful! Since this was our first appointment with them she read all the paperwork from MADACC, where we adopted Shilo from and she took the time to go over all the recommend shots and treatments and options with us and told us she would have all the pricing printed it out for us. She then told us that Dr Schneider would be in to see us in a minute or two and she was. Dr Schneider was wonderful with Shilo, very kind,gentle, and loving. She explained everything as she checked over Shilo. She then explained all the options for us in detail and said it was up to us how to handle vaccinations and Heartworm and flea and ticks along with other vaccinations for Shlio with our life style. When Jessica came back with all the pricing for everything we had discussed she gave it too us to discuss without any pressure or judgement. Jessica told us they would call us the next day with the feces test for worms and low and behold they did call back the next day. We really like them and they will be Shilo's vet going forward. We would highly recommend them if you are looking for a great friendly vet who are upfront on all pricing and options without being juged.

I had a really positive experience at Crawford! I am moving to this area in a couple months, but visiting in the meantime so Crawford was able to get me in to have my pup seen for a previously treated skin infection at our old vet in Texas as well as a wellness visit. Dr. Boockmeier was awesome and really explained everything to me and all of my options for my dog, Koa. This will definitely be my vet once we get settled up here! Thank yall!

Had to get our pup seen same day due to an injury to the nail on his hind foot, which appeared painful and was really bothering him. Called the office and was able to get him in that afternoon. Expected to have him examined that day and have to come back another day to have a surgical procedure to remove the nail under anesthesia. Dr Panther examined his foot and was able to do the procedure immediately. He got pain meds and antibiotics, and we were home within 2 hours! He is a little quiet this evening due to the sedation but glad it could be resolved so quickly and he will get back to his silly, playful self soon! Thanks to the entire staff. Everyone is so caring and patient.

So, a few weeks back....my old kitty was sick. My regular vet was closed & it was just past 5 pm. I preferred not to have to go to animal emergency. I called Crawford, explained the situation & I am so very grateful & thankful to the lady that answered. She told told me to come on in with my kitty. That really shows the love and compassion this place has for animals & their people. Dr. Schneider, the vet techs & front desk staff were AMAZING! They did a complete work up & gave her meds and fluids. Everything was in-conclusive, so I brought her back in for an ultra sound a few days later. How great that they work with someone who has an ultrasound machine & I wasn't forced to go to animal emergency for this. I love this place & will definitely be back. I do not have the words to express my love for the people at Crawford....From the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU ALL!

My little guy was suddenly in pain. I reached out in the morning as directed by my current vet. ( they don’t deal with emergency care) The entire team at Crawford from front desk, assistant and the Vet were all compassionate and welcoming. They got us in the very same morning. Crawford is the only place I will ever take any of my cats. My Killian was diagnosed with kidney disease when he was almost 3. With them we were able to give him an extra 4 years. He was a miracle cat, thank you for everything you guys did for him.

My boyfriend and I walked into Crawford Animal Hospital not knowing it was our last day with our kitten. It turned out he had a severe issue that if we were to save him today the probability of him having the same problem in the near future was high. We decided we did not want him to keep suffering and to let him rest in peace. We stayed at this hospital for 4-5 hours bawling our eyes out trying to make this decision, the staff not once rushing us out or rushing any of our decisions. Let us know all probabilities ranging from various price points that could help us take an alternative route because they saw we were just not ready to let him go. Dr. Panther was so very gentle and very sympathetic, she kept apologizing about us having to go through this even while in between different clients through out these hours. The staff even helped us get his paw print, so we could have something of him. We would not have wanted any other place to help us with this and are truly grateful for the over pouring of kindness.

I was very impressed with my whole experience here. I brought my dog in with allergies for her first visit, which I was able to be seen within a week of scheduling! They ran three tests in house and gave me the meds right there. The front desk staff and the assistant were very friendly and welcoming. The vet I had was hands down the best vet I’ve ever interacted with. He explained everything to me which made me feel very involved with my dogs care.

I love Crawford! I had to get a same day appointment after taking my 19 year old cat Frank to an emergency vet in the middle of the nite. They got me in no problem.they did lots of tests and found he had arthritis. Got all the rite meds and frank is doing fine now at a price i could afford. I highly recommend them.

My Balinese (Zori) stopped drinking and was dehydrated. I called two other vets and they both actually referred me to Crawford. I've had Zori for less than a year and have never been to a vet so this was a new experience. Everyone was so thoughtful and helpful. Hailey was great and treated her as if she was her own. Dr Panther was very informative and made sure I understood everything on her treatment plan so I could make an educated decision. We have found a home with Crawford and would highly recommend.

Our four year old German Shepherd had a cough for about a week which turned into a breathing problem. Unfortunately our vet was not able to get her in to look at her. We called Crawford Animal Hospital and they advised that their first available appointment was at 10:00. They said we could still bring her in sooner and they would do their best to get her looked at prior to our scheduled appointment. Staff was very friendly they got Daisy in right away. Poor DVM Derek Williamson comes in the room and Daisy joyfully greets him by jumping up on him and giving a direct shot to his manhood. Dr. Williamson took it in stride. Thankfully she just has an upper respiratory infection and with some medicine she should be fine. I can't thank this clinic enough for getting us in so quickly and all for someone who is not a regular customer of theirs. Thank you for all you did for our girl.

I took in one of my aunt's cats after she unexpectedly passed away. I took the cat into Crawford Animal Hospital at the recommendation of VCA Pahle (where I usually take my cats) because she was limping. The visit was great. I was greeted and checked in quickly, and didn't wait too long to be taken to the exam room. The tech who saw us was nice and attentive. The vet was also incredible. I felt like I was listened to and that I wasn't rushed in and out. I asked to have a microchip inserted when a scan showed she didn't already have one. At the end of the visit, I asked for an emailed receipt but didn't get one until I called a few hours later. I was shocked to see a microchip was almost $75. Neither the tech or the vet let me know the cost before it was inserted. I called Crawford Animal Hospital and let them know that I wasn't frustrated with the cost of the service but that I wasn't informed prior to it being done. The gal on the phone was nice and respectful but let me know that there was nothing that could be done about the cost after the fact, and admitted that I should have been provided a treatment plan with costs before anything was performed. I told her that had I known it was going to cost $75, I would have scheduled an appointment at the Wisconsin Humane Society and had a microchip inserted for $25. I wasn't expecting a full refund for the microchip but hoped that the clinic would meet me halfway, especially after admitting they fell short. I'm disappointed in the clinic's lack of transparency and their unwillingness to make the situation right. I'd be willing to take my cats here in the future because the medical care was great but I'd require a quote for all services before I would agree to them.

Update in August 2021 - I nominate them for all of the possible awards! I can't say enough good things about the care and compassion over the many years they have been taking care of my cats! Older posts - I have been taking my cats, Flourish and Blotts, to Crawford for years. The facility is always clean, the staff friendly and knowledgeable. I am extremely confident in the care that Crawford provides and would recommend them to anyone! - Update, another year has gone by and I still appreciate the caring and professional staff that we find at Crawford! More years have gone by with many vet visits and I don't know what I would do without them. Fantastic caregivers to my fur baby!

I can't say enough about how happy I was to take my cat here. My cat needed emergency care and they were able to see us within an hour of me calling. The vet and all of the assistants were incredibly kind and helpful. I never felt rushed like they just wanted us out of there. The time and compassion did not go unnoticed, and they really treated my cat as if he were one of their own pets. They prescribed a medicine that helped heal my cat and even did a follow up call the next day to see how he was doing. Very appreciative of the care he received and will definitely go back if there are future emergencies.

Dr. Schneider took great care of my cat when she was quite ill. She is very healthy now so I decided to bring my new dog to her as well. Dr. Schneider took plenty of time to answer all my questions regarding my new family member. I live a fair distance from Crawford Animal Hospital but to me the staff & care my animals receive is well worth the drive.

When we adopted our dog, the shelter recommended Crawford. We went against that and went somewhere closer to our house, and regretted it. We then tried Crawford and it made the world of a difference. This place is an amazing place to take your pets to! I've only been taking my two pups here for the past two months and they have made a huge impact for us. One of my girls has had some issues with UTIs and an allergic reaction. Every time I call, they have been able to accommodate and fit us in for a same day appointment FAST. The care is always wonderful. All of the staff is kind, patient, and so great to work with. I feel so lucky to have such a great vet for my fur babies. I highly recommend getting your pets treated here - they are passionate about what they do.

This was our first time using Crawford Animal Hospital, as our other vet restructured. I was really nervous about switching and finding a quality place for our dogs. I had nothing to worry about with the people at Crawford! I have a young husky who is usually a handful…and a half! All of the staff were so warm and welcoming that Chichi was calm! I went here today due to an overwhelming recommendation from people via a Facebook group. I brought all three of my dogs which is a handful, and they were all new patients to this clinic. The staff called our previous vet, and they were prepared with what needed to be done at this appt. Despite it being chaotic because we had all 3 dogs, one with major anxiety and the other being way too excited to be there, they took their time and never made us feel rushed. I feel for the quality of care, the availability of the clinic, and the time they took, any price I paid was worth it. I would highly recommend, and I hope they know how appreciated they are by pet owners in the area!

Crawford Animal Hospital is by far the best vet I’ve ever encountered. My pup Finn has had the pleasure of seeing every doctor there for various reasons and they are all amazing. The staff is all so friendly and reassuring. Our animals are our babies and they treat them as such. They’ve always gotten us in as soon as possible and have been extremely attentive. I love that the doctors are straight shooters and tell you what they think is best, instead of just trying to upsell you and get you to spend money (which has been my experience at many other vets). I’ve been an absolute wreck going in there worried about my pup, and they’ve been so comforting and reassuring. 5/5 absolutely would recommend to everyone with pets.

I have called many times being concerned about my pup, and asking many questions. They have always taken me seriously and are always respectful and patient. Have been using Crawford Animal Hospital since 1983. 2-3 years ago the owner retired. We continued to use Crawford as the new owner brought in more Veterinarians and we are very pleased with the current DVM staff. Feel confident in their care and diagnosis of our pets. One pet was ill during this pandemic and at the time we could not goin with him for his exam. We had never met the Vet caring for him but she did an excellent job in caring for him and keeping us informed about his case. Followup was very good too. The staff at Crawford are so friendly and kind and you can see that everyone loves the animals! I am confident that my dogs are given the best care. Recently my one dog, Arrow, had a lot of dental work done at Crawford. Not only did they prepare us for what would happen but also called me during the surgery to explain the procedure and what they found. Also the Vet called to check on him after we got home. In addition to that we got very clear home instructions for care in handouts and also explained and education on what are the best chews and future dental care. We got a home packet of toothbrush and finger wipe device and toothpaste too. The rewards program with the app is a nice bonus.

My prior vet was booked up for months and several other vets in the area were. I read a review about Crawford and I was very glad I went there they handled my dog extremely well. I personally love the covid-safe way they come get the dog from the car so we don't go in. I know it's probably hard when there's an anxious pet but this works for us. I was so pleased with the care my cat received yesterday at this facility. She and my other cat got into a very brief scuffle the day before. She seemed fine at first, but as the night progressed she began hiding, refusing food, whimpering and hissing when approached. It was clear she was in a great deal of pain. By morning her condition was worse. I called Crawford based on the fact that their website stated they provide emergency services. My normal vet hasn't been very accessible during the pandemic. The staff member that answered the phone (Eileen?) was so compassionate and concerned. She triaged the situation and told me that my cat could be seen ASAP. I arrived within 25 min and called her back from the parking lot. I expected to be waiting a while, but within 2 minutes after hanging up the tech escorted us in. She was quickly seen by Dr. Kathleen Bookmeier, who identified and assessed a small claw wound. She explained the options for treatment, and we both agreed the less invasive plan would be best. My cat received an injection of a fast and long acting antibiotic and some pain tablets to be used at home if needed. The Dr. felt that since this infection was being treated early that we would have good results. The Dr. and tech both explained to keep an eye on the wound and return if an abscess did develop. Within hours after returning home, my cat was so much better! This morning she is 100 percent! The cost of the visit was VERY reasonable. I expected it to be much higher. I am very satisfied with my experience and plan on transitioning my cats here for their routine care.

Amazing! I called my regular vet for an emergency and were told they didn't have any openings and could try again the next day. We said she might not make it to tomorrow so they said, well you can try somewhere else then. So we found Crawford. Holy cow were they wonderful. Fast, attentive, responsive. Kept me tremendously informed every step of the way, and treated my puppers very well. Cost wasn't as much as I expected and I was so impressed I moved my full care there. Couldn't recommend more!

Got a new puppy and she had issues I was unaware of when I bought her. The doctors here are working hard to resolve her problems. Everyone I talk to is so very helpful, kind and caring. I hope someday to meet you all. Thank you for helping my fur baby get healthy. My puppy is now 7 months old and she was having some problems and appeared very sick, I called Crawford Animal Hospital and they got her in the same day. Gave her meds, explained to me what was happening with her and what to watch for. She was so much better the next day. They always call to see how she is doing the next day. I called them when my kitty was experiencing an issue. I had never seen them before, but they were still quick to see him. Within an hour and a half of me calling! They called and spoke to me over the phone due to COVID restrictions in great detail about the care my sweet baby was receiving! I called because I was worries about my cat who was having lingering concerning symptoms from a procedure he had done at the emergency hospital days earlier. I was a non existent patient as nd they gave me a same day appointment on a Saturday no less. My first experience was great regarding the vet tech and the veterinarian. They were amazing with my puppy and treated her wonderful! They addressed every concern I had and more to make sure my baby was healthy. The only problem I had was a lack of communication and the wrong itemized bill for my pup. It was pretty busy and there were issues with the credit card machine, so that may have been why.

Anyways they always tell me all my options so that I can 1. Fit it to my budget 2. Know the side effects and 3 if you can’t decide they will give their recommendation and why they think it’s best. But won’t pressure you into one or the other. This is Mimi’s primary vet. Her Recent visit Was because she had double ear infection and rash/bumps on her stomach aka allergies. So she wasn’t feeling well to say the least. When she seen the technician come out to the car she got excited, she just went right off with her with no care in the world! That makes me know and feel this is the best place for her. One more thing, they do not judge you! We started using Crawford Animal Hospital when we purchased our new puppy (Winston). He's been there several times now, and each visit has been easy, informative, and friendly. With the social distancing procedures they have implemented, they pick up Winston from our car in the parking lot. At that time, we can discuss with the tech what's planned with the current visit, along with any questions we might have, all which gets passed on to the doctor. We don't actually see the doctor, but after the exam you get a call explaining what they did, anything they found that you should know about, and answers to any questions/concerns you have. The techs all wear masks, so we never felt unsafe, and each visit has been very informative and thorough. We are able to get routine medications we need (heartworm/flea and tick), and they are excellent at followup (we always get a call the nexet day). They also have an app that is pretty useful in making/confirming appointments, etc. We do have confidence in the vet even though we don't see her; I'm sure it will be even better when the "normal" routine is re-established.

2017-I've had an excellent experience every time I have taken in my two kittens. The people at the front desk are super sweet and welcoming, and the doctors absolutely know their work well. I especially love that they work with the pet apothecary. Costs are reasonable. Definitely my preferred vet. 2019/2020 update- I've added another cat to the family and Crawford continues to be the best Vet service. My newest addition came with a slew of medical issues in her first couple of months. I brought in a sample bill from another clinic that I got a free checkin with (through madacc) but wanted to get an actual checkup/shots with crawford. Crawford nearly cut the bill in half, because there were a number of things our new girl didnt need based on her history, age, etc. I have an inkling some of the negative reviews are towards one vet in particular, whom I had a problem with as well. Her bedside manner is definitely below par. That being said, I've switched solely to another and always have exceptional service. My suggestion is to try another vet before you rule out completely!

After 2 different Vet Clinics and 3 vets and 5 years later, Crawford Animal Hospital's Dr. Bruckert was the only one who identified and diagnosed my cat's GI concerns. Within 5 days my cat was on an anti-inflammatory for his gut and a new diet that consisted of real meat not the garbage you get at the "Big Box Stores". So happy I found this vet. I adopted a fearful dog and the first vet I went to didn't really seem to acknowledge that. At another visit after, her fearfulness was much worse. A coworker recommended Crawford. Their website mentioned that they are trained in dealing with fearful dogs. At our first visit to Crawford our dog was, of course, terrified but our vet took his time with her. Lots of treats and even baby food, helped try to distract her. My hopes's are that vet visits with eventually not be so terrifying for her and I believe that Crawford Animal Hospital will help with this. Prices are also reasonable.

Our dog has had allergy issues most of her life. This last flare up was bad and she got an infection. We took her to our normal vet who barely even looked at her. She was given an antibiotic. Three weeks later, my dog’s legs like a strawberry. She lost all the hair on her legs and they were swollen. That’s when we took her to Crawford. It’s only been three days and the fur is already returning and her legs are no longer red. We will definitely be switching both our pets to them. I am extremely grateful for the service we received at Crawford Animal Hospital. My puppy had an allergic reaction around 7:10 pm, he could not breathe and was swelling up fast. In the desperate time, we could not find the 24/7 Emergency Animal hospital number or address. We google searched for an Animal Hospital and found Crawford Animal Hospital. We called them, explained the situation and they informed us that if we could make it before 8:00 pm, there will be able to see our puppers. We made it by 7:37 pm expecting to receive a bad attitude from the staff because they would have been ready to go home and here we were close to closing time. The staff was great: respectful, understanding, caring. The entire process took longer that their business hours but the staff did not rush through any of the processes. At the end, they even waived the visit fee because it was an emergency. My puppy is all healthy now and I could not be more grateful to Crawford Animal Hospital. THANK YOU!

They have a great staff, know our animals, greet them and pet them, give them treats. They have reasonable prices and have never pressured us to do anything that is not necessary. They have great recommendations for other specialty doctors. One of our dogs ate some fake berries with wire, and we rushed him in immediately and he was the same one who had a broken foot when we rescued him and Dr. Baker fixed it right up. 12 years later you would never know, this same dog also just had a curtain procedure done from laringial paralysis(which he could have suffocated from-this happens in older dogs). He is doing amazing from the specialist Dr. Baker recommended. Thank you for your love and care for our animals over the years!

Crawford has some great technology: therapeutic laser, ultrasound, digital radiography, and possibility for in house labs if needed. The doctors and staff are experienced yet current on recent research. If you need additional information or have in-depth questions they take the time to clearly communicate with you and will get any additional information you need. They also work well with specialists and have done a great job referring and working as a team with specialists. My dogs love their visits to see Dr Hoyer!

Dr. Tomcheck did a great job keeping her occupied with treats and tried to make it as pleasant of an experience for our puppy. She did so in a way to give us the facts and not push us into getting the medications through them exclusively. We look forward to bring our puppy in for future check ups!

Clean and friendly. My first visit went well enough. I'm always a bit leery when a vet (or doctor, or dentist..) seems focused on pushing shots and vaccines that are not deemed "necessary" - more so when their offices are littered with propaganda and supplies from the manufacturer of those commercial vaccines. But I certainly understand it's good to give people the option. We'll be back for our next check up :)
