Hands down, the best veterinarian & team! Dr. Wright always handles my scaredy cats with care - a 15lb cat with anxiety is not an easy patient. They are a small practice, so it's not surprising that they book up quickly! You'll want to schedule in advance whenever possible.

My dog Ghost is 130lbs, very intimidating, has high anxiety, and a big baby who hates going to the vet. After many frustrating visits to his former vet my sister gave me information for this clinic. Our first visit was this weekend and my anxiety level was at an all time high. They took Ghost in and I was expecting a call saying they couldn’t treat him and I would have to continue looking for a vet, about a half hour later Ghost comes out wagging his tail! Nails clipped and all shots up to date! I cannot thank Dr. Wright and his staff enough! I would highly recommend

The fees are very reasonable and you can tell they really care about your pet and aren’t in it for the money. Dr. Wright is THE BEST vet, his staff is amazing. Not only did they schedule me in ASAP for minor issue I was concerned about for new puppy but they also called the next day to just check-in and see how she was doing. He is wonderful with my other dog as well. Highly recommend!!!

I’m so happy I found Dr. Wright and family! My boy, Major needs accommodations (really for my anxiety level not his) they make sure I can get him in a room right away so we are not around other people and other animals. Dr. Wright is very patient with him and me.....he takes him out the room for an examination because Major is very protective of me. After the examination I wanted to leave him in the room while I took care of the bill but Dr. Wright offered to go and put him in my truck for me. Dr Wright was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I have been going to his clinic for 3 years now for my cat and never regretted it. I have been very impressed by his attention to details and his care toward animals. He asks very astute questions and does take his time- He wants to make sure the diagnosis is correct and all the questions are answered. His staff shows also a lot of professionalism... Located a 1/2blk S of 51st& Brown Deer Rd. Update: Great service for my dogs. Had dental work, their teeth were not so great. Cleaning and extractions. Price shopped and saved about $1000 total, for both dogs! Their breath and teeth are 100% better! Yeah! Dr.Wright and his staff follow the C-19 precautions. Very friendly and professional! Highly recommend for health and dental🐕

My cat is 14 years old. I've always taken him in to see his vet every year. We were going to another animal hospital for most of his life until several of my neighbors told me about Dr. Wright! He runs a wonderful animal hospital and the staff are always friendly and pleasant. I can always get my baby in whenever I need to have him checked out. They'll always squeeze you in somehow, someway, at a moment's notice. I'm so glad my kitty has Dr Wright as his doctor. You can tell he genuinely loves animals. I also have to mention that I live two minutes away from the hospital which is extremely helpful since my kitty hates to travel. I'm so glad I listened to my neighbors and decided to change my cat's vet to Dr. Wright. Great hospital, low cost fees and a really nice team! Kudos!

We just moved from Madison to Brown Deer and went to this clinic simply because it was closest but my pup ended up getting sick a few days after moving in and Dr. Wright has proven to be AMAZING. He's super friendly, very knowledgable, has no problem referring other clinics and vets for specific needs, and made me feel very comfortable bringing my baby here. The prices (as far as I've seen) are also very reasonable and they even took my sick pup in for the day while I was working so they could monitor him and make sure he is healthy. Definitely would recommend - only downsides I can note is that the lobby is dimly lit and I didn't get the best first impression from the other staff but I am very new here so maybe that will change.

I think this place is great for most people in the area. My dog is very nervous and doesnt like other dogs so I take every precaution when taking him into public places which means he wears a basket muzzle and I inform staff upon arrival and wait outside for a room. The lobby is very small and not great for my situation, as is a lot of clinics. He was much more nervous here than he has been at other offices. While the staff was accommodating to this and everyone was friendly and respectful to me, my dog was kind of treated like hannibal lector. Which I get, hes a pit mix and he's wearing a muzzle but honestly he's just scared, and hurting and will warm up to anyone willing to make the effort and he'll love you for it. I dont know if it was because of this or our reason for the visit but he did not get a thorough exam. No temperature or heart rate, no looking in ears or eyes or listening to heart on either of our 2 visits. I do respect Dr. Wright as a medical professional and found him personable to talk to if not exactly helpful in the questions I had outside of his recommendations/experience. Ill add that I've found most Doctors both for humans and animals to be like this. I DO recommend his practice to those without behaviorally challenged dogs. He is very reasonable in pricing and knowledgeable, but the clinic is just not right for my dog. That's just how it is sometimes and honestly I doubt they will be sorry not to see my dog again lol. Fortunately or maybe unfortunately I did find a vet my dog did surprisingly well at and it's near Madison. So much for finding a new vet near my new home.

My dog unexpectedly had a litter of pups. Took them to dr. Wright thanks to a recommendation and best choice. He's very friendly reasonable price. And seems to genuinely care. Asked what I planned to do for fleas for the one pup I kept and told him I planned on a collar which is when he told me they don't work and would send me home with a once a month nexguard chewable instead.

My wife and I have been happy customers of Brown Deer Animal Hospital for over four years now. We learned of this clinic while listening to a radio program, as we were new to the area. Our previous vet was in Mequon and seemed to be tossing darts blindfolded in seeking a remedy for our Westie's allergies! Dr. Wright examined our lil' guy; prescribed 1-2 meds and recommended a dietary change. When this regimen didn't fully satisfy our concerns, Dr. Wright referred us to a pet dermatologist. We were astounded with the results but especially grateful that Dr. Wright was committed to HELPING us (vs. merely extracting our money while encouraging us to settle for a low expectation of our dog's well-being.) We have a new puppy now and are looking forward to more excellent care at Brown Deer Animal Hospital for both bundles of joy. We are well pleased and highly recommend Dr. Wright and his delightful & professional staff. Our appointments feel like we're visiting friends!

My dog (puppy) shattered his elbow in three places...long story short....this man (Dr. Wright)...put my dogs elbow back together...and though he may have a slight limp...he's in remarkable spirits ....here's the part I like...he took a 3 to 5 thousand dollar surgery and only charged 1300 hundred dollars....I'm very grateful....and he allowed me to make installments....no words can describe my gratitude....he's a little pricey in some ways but overall I absolutely love coming here....plus his staff is awesome....😃😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😁

I have numerous fur babies and I care for the strays in my neighborhood so affordability is important and Dr. Wright’s prices are reasonable. He’s been my vet for years and I’ve always had numerous pets at a time. And for the majority of them they’ve all lived pretty much to the latter part of their life expectancy.
