Reviews of Lockridge Animal Hospital
This was my first visit, with my first kitty. The doctor and associates were excellent. They handled my 19 month old Hannah with great care and ease. I could see my little girl during the whole visit. They answered all my questions. They even trimmed hey nails for me.
They gave her shots. They took a blood sample. All of it with apparent ease. I never saw my Hannah even twitch. I will definitely continue to bring Hannah here, hopefully for life!!!
Such a great place! My family and I have been using lock ridge for over 25 years. Recently my 20 year old cat bacon was sick. Not eating and not like herself. So I made the hard call to lock ridge to set up an appointment to bring her in and see what was wrong. Once i told them her age and my concerns they were able to take us within an hour. Upon bringing her in, the doctor, assistant, and myself decided to try meds to see if bacon would get better. The care and affection lock ridge gave bacon was something I've never seen. Very gentle and caring of her. They even called every few days for a week after the visit. Asking about her and if she was getting better. I am very happy to say the meds worked! And bacon is back to her normal self. Thank you to Lock Ridge and the staff for going above and beyond their jobs!
I love Lockridge Animal Hospital...Been with them for years!! . I moved and have tried to find a good veterinarian and its next to impossible where I live. I've had Dr Fisher and just recently Dr Leahy (not sure of the spelling of her last name) both are very good.
If you are looking for the most loving, caring, compassionate, personal and professional practice like Family for your animals, you should consider coming here.
I, and my pets have been going to Lockridge for almost 20 years. That probably lets you know how much trust I have in them, but I'll still say unreservedly that the entire staff - vets, vet techs, reception - are all exceptional. So, if you're looking for a group that provides extraordinary care, communication and follow through - and makes you feel like you're part of the family, you should become clients of Lockridge Animal Hospital.
We said goodbye to a fur baby Rocky today , the 2nd Charlie earlier this year. Thanks to Dr.Fisher and all her staff for making it peaceful transition.
Thank you Dr. Fisher & staff/extended Family to our fur babies.

I'm very thankful for Lockridge Animal Hospital and the exceptional care they continue to provide for our cats. Recently our cat Zelda needed an urgent appointment for a mystery illness. They were very kind both to me and her, explained everything thoroughly to me, and their heartfelt care for our cat was very evident. They even brought me into the back to look at x-rays so I understood what was going on and made sure I left the appointment with clear instructions on what to do moving forward. Luckily, Zelda has recovered and is a-okay! On another note, I also appreciate the split waiting room with a "dog" side and a "cat" side. While LAH is definitely on the pricey side, I feel that it's worth it for the care they provide, and I look forward to bringing our other 2 cats to their first appointments here.
These folks are great! I've got an older dog and he was treated with care and concern the entire time. Everyone from the front desk to the vet were open, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They listened to all my concerns (and I had a LOT of them) and answered each one. It was a great experience for me and my dog. Thanks folks!!!
The staff at Lockridge Animal Hospital are so friendly and caring. I have been going there for many years and wouldn’t even consider going elsewhere for my pets care. They are the best!!! Peanut and Sookie love them!!! Thank you all for your hard work and compassion!!!
Very friendly staff and accurate quote provided for our dog’s operation! The vet techs and veterinarian walked us through all the details, answered all of our questions, and were very transparent with the pricing and options! They had printed out after-surgery care information and instructions ready when we picked up our dog and even made a cute Certificate of Bravery with his photo! We were so impressed that we’re moving our other dog over to Lockridge as well!
Lockridge has been a wonderful animal hospital for my three dogs, especially as they’ve entered their senior years and need more care. We’ve seen a couple of the vets there, but our primary has been Dr. Fisher who has been tremendous in the diagnosis and treatment of one of my dogs cushings disease.
Every time I call, the front desk staff are great about getting all the meds ordered or getting an appointment as soon as possible when needed.
They also just really care about all the pets that come in. They know every name and are always happy to see them.
Highly recommend.
We have been going to Lockridge for over 13 years now. Since our dog was a puppy to the time of his death. They have been helpful, kind, courteous and loving. I want to thank the staff for giving us over 13 years with our great dog and the warm thoughts in the end. Great staff, friends and I wish everyone, including our small friends, all the best.
I have had an appointment with Dr Fisher and Dr Richard and both were great. Dr Fisher went above and beyond when my Frank was sick, he ultimately succeeded to his sickness but she was amazing the entire 5 days we were there. Explained everything and all costs as we went along. Most recent was Dr Richard and she was also amazing as my cat was terrified to be there, lenni is back to normal and we are very happy.
Have tried many local places over the past 10 years for my dog. I wish I had found Lockridge years ago. Had spent lots of money at other places with a supposed "undiagnosable" limp and after 1 appointment Dr. Hinz gave us a combo of 2 meds and some very clear activity modifications. She also found a tumor that had been overlooked by other vets, designed a great treatment plan and lined up a great surgeon to remove it. The techs are absolutely amazing, they remember who you are, take the time to ensure you understand all the steps and I swear they read my mind by answering questions before I had even asked. I love my Benny Boy so much and I will NEVER go anywhere else than this top notch, 5 star company. They have great people in every position, I cannot say enough good things about them. Go here with your loved pets!
Lockridge animal hospital has been around for a long time. I have been bringing my animals there for many years and have always gotten great service. I will keep bringing my pets there for years to come.
They were very friendly. I brought in a stray to have checked for a microchip, and they didn't even hesitate. They took her out back immediately and were very helpful.
the folks at Lockridge are fantastic.with my cat Sophie ,they always treat her well and with care ,I have full faith in them . Becky welcome back , George Levasseur
We were visiting from Florida and Lockridge Animal Hospital was recommended to us because our dog's eye became infected. The team was able to see our dog the same day. Excellent staff. Everyone treated us like we had been going there for years. The office was super clean and organized. As a follow up, we had to return a second time for a different issue. Same excellent service, friendliness, etc. I recommend this business based on the great customer service, the time they spend with your pet, and detailed explanation of care, medication on-site available, and the the overall experience of the whole team involved.
Surgery to remove a cyst went very well and everyone did a good job. my pup has had a good recovery and stitches were removed and all looks good
We have used Lockridge Animal Hospital for a very long time. Started when we got our first American Eskimo Happy. He grew up knowing Dr. McCammon. We trusted him and everyone 110%. We had to put him down when he was 11 which killed us, the practice was super. Dr. M sat on the floor with us, explained things and talked. Then gave us alone time with Happy. They even sent a sympathy card. We waited and got another esky named Gibbs. Totally different from Happy but sadly Dr. M only saw him in the beginning of his life. He is now 13 doing well, but they have grown so much we see a new person every time lately. Its okay, gives Gibbs a chance to get to know them. The services are top notch, as are the people. The place is so clean, cleaner than my own house sometimes. lol Is it expensive? Yes it is, but if you are getting top notch care, it will cost you. Sometimes you have to wait a bit but if it was you getting that extra time if you needed it you would mind. It all evens out in the end. I won't change where Gibbs goes to save a bit of money, not when I know he gets the best care available. They all care about our animals.
Everyone is very supportive and understanding. In the 13 years I have been going to them we have been through everything from new furbabies to end of life. They never push for unnecessary testing and are understanding of owner's budgets. The quality of care is exceptional. I recommend anyone looking for the best Veterinary Service around to make an appointment and decide for yourself. I am confident you will agree.
For over 14 years the care Sunny had received at Lockridge was beyond my expectations. Thank You to all the staff for the sincere thoughts and kindness during the good and difficult times. Sunny had a great life and will be missed.
This is the best place to take your pet. The staff is so caring and they care about you as a person. After a few days or so you can always expect a random call from them to see your pet is doing and if u have any questions or concerns. Just a wonderful place over all... Some people will say they are priced higher than other vets in the area and my answer to that is... give them a try and you'll quickly forget about the few extra dollars after the top notch quality care that your fur baby ends up getting. They set the bar for top quality care.
I haven't been in during a non-pandemic time, so haven't seen the vet nor inside the facility. They were pleasant on the phone and when they came to the car to get my pet.
Upside: Staff is super friendly and fantastic with my dog.
Downside: Very hard to get an appointment and they are expensive.
Came in without an appointment, only waited half an hour. They took great care of our dog. It's clear how much they love animals. We're here for a follow-up and will keep coming here for regular checkups. Very happy with this vet.
Staff at Lockridge always go above and beyond to offer the best care and we have only had positive experiences here. Staff are also really thorough and transparent about costs and explaining your pet's care. All employees are knowledgable and great to work with. You can tell that they care so much about their work and the animals. I always recommend them to people who are new to the area because great animal care can be hard to find. Our pup says thank you!
We have been patients for more than 15 years. We are 110% satisfied with the practice at all levels. The entire staff is outstanding and professional. The care our companions have received is second to none from checking in to complex medical diagnoses and procedures. Thank you for being here.
Dr. Fisher was caring and kind to my Rocki, helping us come up with a plan for Rocki's allergies. She is genuinely concerned and does not rush you out the door. Rocki liked her too!
They take wonderful care of our three dogs. We always have a good experience here!
Lockridge is one of the best veterinary hospitals I have ever been to. They are pleasant and helpful. They sincerely care about their clients. Each patient is treated like they were the family of the staff. I can't think of any other place I would want to take care my Harley.
When my husband and I moved to Manchester, we were still traveling to RI to receive vet care as I didn't trust anyone but our former vet with my fur babies. However my girl got sick and I realized I needed someone closer as she was getting older. I initially picked another office, but it just didn't feel right. So I looked again and still didn't pick Lockridge until I called the wrong office and I am glad I did. Lockridge was able to see her immediately and I was impressed on how thorough they were. I transferred the care to my two pups to them that day. I am thankful for the guidance Drs Fisher and Edwards gave during one of the most difficult times in my life. My pup Bear fell ill and after several procedures and an invasive surgery, I needed their support to make the most difficult decision I have ever had to make, to let my soul dog go. They recommended Lap Of Love and I will forever be thankful to them. We now see Dr. Hinz and we love her. She is thorough in her explanations and rationales and she, like I, loves Brussels Griffons. The office staff are also amazing. The techs know my pups by name and I appreciate that they care so much about their patients. I can't imagine going to another vet office.
Was looking for a place to take an injured turtle 🐢 that I found beside the road. Call lead to final locating the NH Turtle 🐢 Rescue in Nottingham. The woman met me, took info of where I found it because if it can be returned to the wild, it should go back to where it came from. The only damage was it's right eye had popped out of it's head.
Please watch out for turtles crossing the road at this the of year 🙏🐢
Always very kind, helpful and caring. I’m a super huvor mom, and I worry about my (dog) babies for every little thing that I see, they have taken the time to answer any questions I have with no issues! If needed, they always call back with any test results in a timely manner! On top of that reception is always helpful and great with my pups as well!
We've been taking Argus, our little Jack Russell terrier here for years. His visits have been nothing short of professional with wonderful staff who genuinely love Argus. They call him "The Argus" :D
I have been coming to Lockridge for a very long time 10+ years. They have always been so kind and great with the animals. Best veterinarians in town! Thanks Lockridge!
I’ve been going here for years and would never take my dogs anywhere else. Drs. McCammon and Richards are caring, smart, professional and take the best care of my dogs. I recently had an emergency and am thankful they were there for me and my dog. Truly, they are the best!!! Their staff is great too. Thank you for all you do!
Lockridge Animal Hospital is a great place to bring your pets for care! The facilities are nice and clean with an area outside to relieve themselves before going in for treatment. My dog Layla is there about twice a year for an allergic skin condition she has or a checkup and every time we go she is treated as if she is family.
This vet practice is equipped to handle many problems from quarantine, to surgery, to sterile surgeries. They are cat friendly and have separate waiting rooms, exam rooms, and holding areas for dogs and cats. It is clear that they care about your animals. My elderly cat has been only twice to this vet practice. Once for a physical and vaccines and the second time for dental cleaning and tooth extraction. Everyone in the office knew of and fell in love with our cat! It made me confident and comfortable with leaving my cat for the day in their capable hands!
I've been taking my pets to Lockridge for years. I love all of the staff and doctors, they have all given excellent care for my fur-babies whether for routine visits or in emergencies. They do get extremely busy sometimes but have always done their best to see their patients as soon as possible.
We got a new puppy and going to the vet during Covid is a weird new experience. i was worried not being able to go in with my little guy, but the techs were so friendly, the vet answered all my questions and they even prepared new puppy welcome packets.
A couple days later they called as the pup needed a round of antibiotics, and as a new dog mom I was worried but they put my mind at ease. It very apparent they truly are animal lovers!
Great animal hospital.. the reason why I gave them a 3 star is bc I tried for months to get my dogs meds through a different company and they never responded or just ignored the request, they want you to only go through them and pay an extra 10-50$ + for medication and I feel this isn’t fair or right on there part.
So update…. After contacting them they said it is bc as a prescription they needed to see my dog. (Like a dr needs blood work every year to refill a prescription for a person) so not the vet but the stupid law. That’s why I changed to a 5 star
Turns out that our new puppy has a cellulitis infection with the temp of 104. They were able to get me right in. They were very knowledgeable kind and considerate of all things.
Been with them since 1998 . Even drove 2.5 hrs one way when I lived up north. Such exceptional cate here. You may more but foe the care your pets gets worth it
They took part in saving my doggies life. Doctor Hinz helped me amd my dog so much.
Some say they are expensive, but they are very local to me in south side. They have a nice little doggy bathroom area next to the parking lot.
Thank you lockridge.
Very nice people. Good location right off the highway just outside the city
I have used Lockridge Animal Hospital for the care of my pets for many years. I find the staff very knowledgeable and caring. When you need help they are responsive and accommodating. I never feel rushed when I take one of my animals in for care. They explain the course of treatment thoroughly. Their care is compassionate. I would highly recommend them.
I have been going to this veterinarian for years the doctors and assistants are always great to my dog and my family members’ pets.
This wonderful place has always taken such good care of my precious little fur baby. The staff are amazing and really go the extra mile to ensure your pet feels as safe and as comfortable as possible. My kitty loves them, and I've never experienced any bad moments from Lockridge. I can't say whether the pricing is fair, as that's subjective to each individual but I've never felt that I was being overcharged for any services (and realistically they're working with patients who cannot verbally express what is wrong so I'm willing to pay if it keeps my baby safe and healthy). Highly recommend!
I've been bringing my cats to Lockridge Animal Hospital for 16 years and can't imagine going anywhere else in the Manchester area. Several of my cats have had complex medical issues and the team's diagnostic capabilities, progressive treatment plans and support for me, as the cat guardian, enabled us to keep them feeling as good as possible until the time came to make the compassionate choice. The techs and doctors take great care to explain everything in detail, answer questions and spend quality time with their patients . They are wise, loving, professional and exceptional at what they do.
I have two dogs that has been to Lockridge for the last three years. They have a clean lobby, friendly receptionists, and the nurse/doctors took good care of both my dogs. They will take the time to answer any and all questions and give relevant information when needed. Pricing has been fair, and they take a number of credit programs to help pay off over time with little to no interests. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new animal hospital.
We take ALL of our furry family members here! The staff is friendly, the facility is meticulously maintained and the pricing is very reasonable when compared with other vets in the area.
So kind and so gentle with our animals! Our cats and dog have come here and we have seen a few of the veterinarians here now. Their veterinary technicians (I think their title is nurses there, which is love!) are also really lovely. Especially great service and care since the start of coronavirus and very educational, even just over the phone or outside next to the car. I trust them with my animals very much and will continue to recommend them to others!
ALL of our furry family members have been patients at Lockridge Animal Hospital and I can't rave about Lockridge enough. The hospital is always spotless and everyone treats our pets so special, which is extremely important to us. (My parents even brought our family pets there while I was growing up.) I wouldn't think of going anywhere else!
The staff was great with our cat. The facility was cleaned and well maintained.
The lovely staff stayed late after closing to help my newest kitty. She was in a bad way but the staff made me feel at ease about the situation. I am so very grateful for all that they do for my two fur babies! They are always helpful and informative. Thank you, Lockridge!
There’s no other place that I will bring my animals to. Everyone is so warm and kind. Especially, Dr. Hinz. She is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her! Our babies love her!
I have been going to LAH for 12 years. Everyone there is so knowledgeable, and I always feel my pets are in good hands. They always seem to accommodate us and make sure we get what we need.
We adopted a new puppy about a year ago and decided to try Lockridge Animal Hospital. We're very happy we did. The veterinarian for our previous dogs was also very good, but Lockridge is closer to our new home.
We've only brought our pup in for regular checkups and have seen Dr. Eileen each time. It shows that she really loves her animals, with her gentle touching and care. I like that she explains everything she does as she goes along. And all the vet techs we've had are great. I can see some of them going further and becoming great veterinarians in the future.
Lockridge Animal Hospital is outstanding for its professional and caring staff. The vets and technicians are very attentive and kind to the animals and to their people. This practice is so much better than the vets we brought our cats to before finding Lockridge. For one thing, the staff actually likes cats!
I have been taking my dog, Coco, to Lockridge Animal Hospital for the past 8 years. The doctors and staff at the hospital are amazing. The facility is clean, professional, and very nice. The staff is very accommodating and friendly with all clients that walk through the doors. I have always been able to get an appointment for my dog in a short time frame, and been able to speak with a doctor if I needed to. If you are looking for a new animal hospital for your pet then look no further than Lockridge Animal Hospital.
Everyone at Lockridge was very kind, polite, and helpful. I am giving 3 stars because I question the necessity of everything they do during an annual appointment. I put my trust in the professionals and so I said yes to everything that they offered that was portrayed as important. The end result was over $500, I have had my dogs for around 11 years and this vet has been the most expensive so far.
Lockridge is great! They’ve been seeing and taking care of my dog Basil since I first brought him home at 12 weeks. They are responsive. Informative. And really make sure I’m set up to best care for Basil.
I recommend Lockridge for your animal veterinary care.
Whenever I'm getting my kitten ready to go to the vet, I tell her we are going to visit her Lockridge family, and I mean it.
I rescued my kitten at about 2.5 weeks of age, far too young to have been away from her mother. Having never cared for a bottle baby before, I called Lockridge that day seeking support, and they have been there for us every step of the way in teaching me how to properly act as a foster mother, helping me get the supplies I needed to raise her, and even going so far as to call during the week to help me monitor her progress.
My little girl is now about three months old, and I can't imagine bringing her anywhere else. Anyone I speak with over the phone or any of the techs who see her always speak excitedly about seeing her-- I feel so comforted knowing that she has vet staff who remembers her and is glad to see her and make sure she is okay. Not only that, I felt supported, too, as a first time kitten-mama.
Cannot recommend them highly enough!
Took my almost 3 year old Mini Aussie Shepard there for his yearly wellness exam. Have always just got his shots at Vetco but wanted him to get checked out and found the best establishment. Dr. Children's was very thorough and he received the best care. Highly recommend. The staff there are amazing, I couldn't go in because of COVID and the restrictions, but they stayed on the phone step by step with me the entire time
We took our elderly dog here for a second opinion about an operation. They were very professional, compassionate and honest. The vet spent a lot of time explaining options to me and giving me ways to improve my dog's life in her golden years. My favorite thing about this place is that it wasn't about the money it was about our beloved family member. They realize that your pet is part of your family and you just want what's best.
I have been going to Lockridge since 1999 with 4 fur babies and have always felt that the doctors are top notch and truly care about the welfare of my pets. They have also demonstrated that they care about me and encourage my input. The support staff have also been terrific to deal with. They are receptive and responsive.
We have trusted Lockridge for years with our dogs' health. They are professional, knowledgeable, and have always come through for us. Thank you for the continued love for our four-legged family members!
I have been going to Lockridge Animal Hospital with my cairn terrier for the past 14 years since he was 4 months old. He was neutered there, had his teeth cleaned, and seen on a regular basis for shots and visits. I have seen several doctors over the years and each one was kind and thorough. I would definitely recommend Lockridge to another animal lover.
I used to love this place but since the two best vets left it's all about the money now and not actually the care for the pets or owners during ths awful pandemic. In the past i had privately fostered 2 american bulldogs who needed alot of medical from a homeless man living in a tent in manchester. He agreed to pay me back when he got back on his feet but he never did. Lockridge let me go on a payment plan with them because i took responsibility where someone else did not, to save them from being thrown into an overcrowded shelter or being put down. Here i am a couple years later i come in with my three ferrets, 2 with possible adrenal disease, and i don't get paid until every 2 weeks, the bill was an absolutely outrageous $600 for what was supposed to be just check ups and they refused to go on a payment plan with me despite having a history of paying them on time without issue. The staff is still very friendly but it's not likely i will be returning.
Great vets. Helped us tremendously in areas that other vets missed. We were able to get years more with our dog because of their diligence.
My only complaint in the office staff can sometimes come of abrasive and "short" (and I'm sure us customers never do that, right?). I know they are busy and I say this with intentions to help, they need to do better with "MMFI" - "Make Me Feel Important". They never give you the impression that you have their undivided attention. That's my constructive criticism. Highly recommend.
They are warm and care about the pets they attend to. I trust them with my fur baby 100%! I recently rushed my dog to a different ER while on vacation in another location. Once the record transferred to Lockridge (48) hours they immediately called to check in and see if we had any concerns or follow up needs. Great service!
It has not mattered whom we have seen at Lockridge. All of the doctors and especially the Vet techs have always been amazing. We entrust them with all 3 of our cats' lives. They are always so nice and patient with all of our questions and concerns. Even the office staff are excellent; always professional and helpful. Highly Recommend!!!
The staff and Vets are kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. They are pricey, however, will access they most humane, cost effective and beneficial, means possible to treat whatever ails your pet. Since the pets cannot talk, they must also observe the problematic human owner, such as myself, who equate food with love. I want my little, beloved chow hound to be happy. Food makes Max happy. He is overweight and this is not good for his health. Mommy and Daddy struggle with this. Theoretically, both beloved pet and owner are their patients'. With this thought, perhaps they are not charging enough.
Been going here for the past 8 years, all of a sudden I guess you need to make an appointment to pick up heartguard- went in today and was told by the front desk that I needed to wait 45 mins or come back tomorrow. I went to chewy.com and ordered what I needed, shipping directly to my house in a few days- I guess that would be my recommendation for anyone who is looking for one thing to make life a little easier.
Best vet I have ever encountered! Made the experience with our 11 year old cat easy going, he can be very timid. When the cat said enough is enough they didn't force anything on him which I LOVED. I've had bad experiences with other vets. There also very knowledgeable and give great advice! I highly recommend Lockridge Animal Hospital!
I brought my dog Rambo in for his first visit with them, we had moved from Florida. Everyone from the first phone call to his visit were all so polite and kind.
I felt at ease letting Rambo go in with them without me as he went in tail wagging and came out the same.
Unfortunately he had to have a lump aspirated and they explained everything to me with care and concern. A couple days later the vet called to let me know it unfortunately is a mast cell tumor and needs to be removed sooner than later
She explained it all in detail a d was very compassionate which I appreciated very much. I highly recommend them and will keep going back for sure.
Survey will be soon and I know Rambo will be in great loving and caring hands
💜
My pup does well here. The Veternaruins and staff members are all very polite as well as professional. They have a restroom in the waiting room. There's plenty of outside areas for your pet to roam around or to use the bathroom. Plenty of parking. My dog is treated wonderful from the time we walk in til we walk out.
Just had an initial checkup with my new kitten friend, and couldn't be happier! The staff was entirely wonderful across the board, and provided top-notch service throughout our visit. Their safety protocols are immaculate; definitely a plus during these crazy times. Thanks again, folks!
We, have been coming to Lockridge for about 3 years now. They are absolutely fantastic. Every vet that we have seen there has given both of our dogs the best possible care and compassion. The staff is so thoughtful and they all do there best to make sure that their clients are well taken care of.
This is an EXTRAORDINARY Veterinary practice. I can't use too many superlatives about this group of Vets and their staff. My dogs (and cats prior) have been going to Lockridge Animal Hospital for approximately 17 years, and to say that the care they – and we (my husband and I) receive is exemplary doesn't begin to tell the story of how much I believe in this group of individuals. The care they give goes well beyond what you would expect from any practice. Our dog, Jesse became critically ill three years ago during a time we had to be away due to a family wedding. We received updates on Jesse’s progress two and three times a day and this made an extremely stressful situation so much more bearable. All of the doctors – Dr. Richard, Dr. McCammon, Dr. Carey, Dr. Fisher and Dr. Cornell all followed her progress closely. I had no doubt they were all treating her as one of their own family. Finally, they take whatever time is necessary to complete an exam and I (or my dogs) have never been rushed through an appointment. My questions are always answered and concerns addressed. Their follow through and compassion is outstanding - and extraordinary. They ALWAYS return phone calls - and make off-hours follow-up calls subsequent to treatment. I know that all the doctors know my pets thoroughly, and care for them as well. Furthermore, they have taken the time to know me and my husband, so that we are never a "number" on a chart, but more like a member of the family. The front office staff and techs are also absolutely amazing; professional, friendly, knowledgeable and wonderfully compassionate. This is a great group of caring, nurturing veterinarians, vet techs and front office staff. If you love your pet, you should take them to Lockridge.
i have been going to them for years. They provide excellant and compasionate care all my animals.
They are trustworthy.
I have taken my cats to LAH since I moved to Manchester and they have been wonderful. The receptionists, techs, and doctors are all extremely compassionate and attentive and explain everything going on with your pets. I have sometimes had the experience of vets treating cats as if they're small dogs instead of a different species with different needs and ailments; the staff at Lockridge are all knowledgeable about cat health and I couldn't imagine taking my babies anywhere else.
The staff at Lockridge Animal Hospital are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have a nice layout of property where you can walk your pet around, and they keep the inside very nice and clean. I do feel they are a bit high priced, but if you love you pets as much as I love mine, they are well worth it, as they do everything to care for them. They do let you know upfront what's going on with your pet and what they feel is best for them, but ultimately let you decide what you can afford to have done. I like that about them. It's a great environment for them, as they do everything they can to help keep your pets critter free. They are the best, when it comes to that, as I've seen many other vets that don't take that kind of approach to help keep pets from transferring critters from one to the other. A+++++
We have had nothing but great interaction with the staff and vet's (we love Dr. hinz) she is knowledgeable, kind, understanding and patience. We drive 45m but is so worth it, to get such great care from lockridge Hospital and their team.
I have been taking my 2 dogs and cats to Lockridge Animal Hospital for over 10 yrs. The entire team are warm, professional and very welcoming to my animals and me. We always review what will be done during our visit in advance, so there are no surprises. I couldn't be happier with their service, treatment and results.
This last year, the folks at Lockridge and I endured a very challenging and heartbreaking scenario with the love of my life, Romeo. Romeo was diagnosed with Copper Storage Disease, a rare and sometimes treatable liver disease. Unfortunately, my Romeo did pass away, despite all of our best efforts. Dr. Pamela Richard and the team of care givers at Lockridge consistently went above and beyond expectations in his treatment, frequently reaching out to the top professionals across the country to ensure Romeo received the very best and latest treatments. In the end, the compassion and love they showed both me and Romeo allowed us to bring him to a very peaceful death. And for this, I will be eternally grateful.
Thank you again, to all the staff and Dr. Richard in particular, for your tireless efforts and support during such a difficult time. Knowing that you all cared, loved and will share his memory gives he and I enormous peace.
Took my dog in today and had a wonderful experience with the knowledgeable staff. They were comfortable around my 80 pound Am. Bulldog, which put her at ease for a nail trim and her booster shots. They're quite busy, so don't expect a fast visit, but more importantly they spent time with my pup to thoroughly examine her and even collect her vet history from MA. They're very compassionate and understanding of pet parent needs and concerns as well.
I brought my 2 kittens in for their first appointment , and I can’t say enough nice things about the staff and great care my babies received. We will be your furever patients.
Thank you!!! 🐈⬛ ♥️ …
I have two cats who go to Lockridge Animal Hospital. They each see a different veterinarian and both are wonderful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always explains all options for taking care of the cats. They charge very reasonable amounts compared to other vets, but more importantly, I know I can rely on them for the best possible care.
We have trusted Lockridge for over 13yrs. and have never been had a problem with the Drs. or Staff. They are courteous and caring and professional. We especially love Dr. Fisher who has been our primary Vet foe our dogs past and present. Keep up the good work THANK YOU
I've been taking my dog to Lockridge Hospital for 6 years now and they have always answered all my questions, friendly staff and very clean environment.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr Hinz is excellent, takes the time to explain diagnoses very clearly, follows up with calls to check on things after your visit. They give you full written discharge instructions and treat all their patients with love. On another note - this may be irrelevant to some for whom pets are family and money is no object, but I moved to NH from NY where the prices for veterinary care are much higher, and all of our visits and procedures at Lockridge thus far have been very affordable. Highly recommended.
My family and I have been taking our pets here for over 15 years and absolutely love it! The staff is so friendly and extremely caring. They all genuinely love animals and their jobs, and it shows! Not only in their positive attitudes, but also the clean and well organized offices and waiting room. They offer tons of discounts in their already competitive prices to top it all off! I'd give them 100 stars if I could!
I bring my cat to lockridge animal hospital and I am always pleased with how he is treated. I also have to buy my cats prescription food at this animal hospital and they have fair prices and always keep what I need in stock. Their vets are very compassionate from what I have seen and they saved my cat's life. As soon as I left my cat in their care, I felt a lot better because I could tell that the team at Lockridge really care about the animals.
I highly recommend this animal hospital.
Very clean and fairly large vet office with a separate waiting area for dogs and cats. We had an issue and they were quick to set up an appointment for the next day. The women working the front desk are fantastic. It is pretty obvious that they like their jobs. They are more than happy to answer any questions, even over the phone. If they don't know the answer, they promptly call back after talking to a vet. The veterinarians and their assistants are wonderful as well. They explain things in an easy to understand way and will take all the time needed to answer questions - no rushing to get you out the door and another person in. They are warm and caring and treat your pet like it was their own. I can't give them enough praise. All practices should operate like this. I highly recommend Lockridge!
All of my dogs have gone to Lockridge since they were puppers. I've been a client for 16 years. I trust them with my dogs' health and well-being through all their life stages. I love my dogs, and I know that Lockridge loves them, too.
Also fantastic is that they are AAHA accredited. They go the extra mile for that -- not every practice can claim the same.
I took my two rabbits here for their first vet checkup and nail clipping last weekend. I was quite nervous, for my rabbits can be shy and skittish around people. The Vet and Vet tech were very professional and helpful, making the experience so much more relaxed for my rabbits (and me) than I expected!
The people of Lockridge Animal Hospital care deeply about their patients and during normal times things ran smoothly. Unfortunately not so much now. Each time I have had to call I am put on hold no matter what. I brought my pet for an appointment and called to announce our arrival. I waited in my car for half an hour for them to take my pet in. Apparently we were forgotten. They did apologize and I hope things improve.
This is the BEST vets office I’ve ever been to. The staff are so friendly and wonderful. I can tell they really love their jobs and their furry patients. I felt that Lucy is in the best hands and is getting the best care from this team of professionals. Also, they’re so flexible with scheduling and rescheduling when life gets crazy.
Lock Ridge has been great with our cat, who is never a happy camper at the vet. They definitely do their best to minimize the trauma for him. In addition, my visit recently, when I couldn't come in because of covid restrictions, also went smoothly and was hassle free!
I've been taking my animal friends to Lockridge since I moved to Manchester almost twenty years ago. Dr. McCammon is my favorite but the whole team is wonderful! Sound medical advice without undue pressure; top notch care. I wouldn't take my cat or dog anywhere else.
Lockridge has been the vet for my dogs since moving to NH 12 yrs ago. Always impressed with their professionalism and genuine concern for the well being of my dogs. I appreciate their attention to detail and they never fail to take the time to answer any questions we may have. The staff is always friendly and courteous. Wouldn't consider taking my dogs anywhere else.
I needed help and honest assistance with the decision to help my 16 year old cat pass on, as he was riddled with ailments and soon for a particularly unpleasant natural end. The staff was so tremendously respectful, professional and kind... I can't say enough. They addressed billing tactfully and made every effort to accommodate my needs throughout the consultation and procedure.
I don't think anyone feels comfortable with this sort of decision, but the tech and doctor were exactly what I needed - they gave me the options, encouraging no decision, and supported the outcome I came to with tremendous compassion and kindness.
When I'm ready for my next pet, I will continue to patronize this establishment - they're good people focused on the well being of your pet and best outcome for the family.
They are so caring and kind and make sure that your pet is happy and healthy. They go above and beyond to make sure that you and your pet are comfortable, and make it seem like you are the most important during your time with them (even if they have other patients).
I've been bringing my Saint Bernard to Lockridge since he was ten weeks old. Everyone involved in this practice has always been very kind and caring towards my pet and very professional and reliable to me. They're all willing to go the extra mile to make using their services convenient and comfortable.
This was our 1st experience at Lockridge animal hospital and it was amazing it's amazing! The staff was great with my cat Archie for the 1st time to the vet ! I would recommend them to everyone.
Outstanding care! In the short time we have been at Lockridge they have gone above and beyond to welcome us in and get to know the newest member of our family. We had a small scare and they got us in within an hour and was there the check up the next few days. The staff are friendly and care tremendously for the animals. We are lucky to have found them!
I've had dogs and cats all my life so sadly I've seen too many come and go; miss them all. Many of them were rescues and along with dogs I have bred in the past, I've never spared money for their healthcare. Unfortunately, animal care today does not come cheap because of the modern care available and the associated costs that come with it. During that time I've also had my experiences with both good and poor veterinarians, some who were not thorough so they misdiagnosed conditions in my pets. Still, like all professions not everybody's services, thoroughness or competency are equal. Nonetheless, Mike McCammon and Pam Richard have assembled an amazing staff of veterinarians that includes Eileen Fisher, Will and Kristen Childress, Carolyn Leahy, and Krsytyna Hinz. Along with their dedicated staff, such as June, Becky, Gail, Robin, Christine, Sandra, Stephanie, and Tiffany, just to name a few, we have become good friends over the years. Lockridge Animal Hospital offers just about everything possible in modern healthcare for your pets. For example, we were able prolong the life and quality of a few of my best friends thanks to the technology of laser therapy. Overall, Lockridge Animal Hospital truly deserves a five-star rating. I applaud their competency and thoroughness as well as their services. It's probably why it's always a "busy place."
Lockridge has been fantastic with my pets for years. They have seen my cats their entire lives, from the moment we adopted them. They take fantastic care of my Corgi and have helped me to find him a treatment that works for his arthritis. They are always respectful, and will talk you through the best possible treatment options for your pets. They will also break down cost and be up front with you about the risks.
They are the only vet I have been to that knows me and my animals on sight, even if we haven't been in since the last yearly check up.
I can't recommend them enough.
Our 8 month old Labradoodle Dexter has been part of the Lockridge family since we brought him home at 8 weeks old. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They are always able to see us even with less than 48 hours notice. I have NEVER had to wait for an appointment Dr. Richards is the BEST. We love seeing her when we go, and she always shows our puppy so much love. When our puppy hurt his leg when he was 14 weeks old we went back twice for follow ups and we received two calls at home just to check in to make sure our little boy was okay. When our puppy had a little ear ache at 7 months old, they called the next day to follow up with us on how Dexter was doing. We will be a Lockridge client for our dog, and our future dogs. We love them!
I have been bringing my dog and cat to this office for many years now. I love the stuff and the doctors. Everyone is friendly, remembers you and your pets, and treats them like they are their own. Would highly recommend. Prices are comparable to other vets in the area.
We love these guys! The doctors all love the animals and are knowledgeable and friendly. Office staff always friendly and helpful. Waiting room is clean. They are pricey though.
I have been taking my pets to Lockridge Animal Hospital for many years. The staff is wonderful, friendly, caring, honest, and the facilities are always clean inside and out. The cost for yearly visits and vaccinations are reasonable. I bring 5 cats and a dog every year and the staff know that my expenses can add up so if there is a way for me to save money without compromising my pet's care they are honest and tell me. I have never been to any other vet that does that. If there are different treatments or tests available they will tell me my options and let me decide which I think is best for my pet. I have never felt pressured into any unnecessary treatments for my pets. If I can get a prescription for my pet for less money at a pharmacy they will write a prescription for it. Not only is the medical care for my pets above average they have also been able to give me great advice to improve my pets behavior issues. I think my pets are lucky to have such great place to go to.
Couldn't be happier with the care, attention, and love that my cat Duncan receives when he has appointments. His "girlfriends" (reception, nurses) are all so kind and dote on him - even though he can be a tad difficult! Everyone answers questions thoroughly, detailed, and I've never left feeling confused. My fur-child has to go almost regularly for routine dental cleanings, has had to have a few teeth pulled to try to manage his gum-disease, and they were also VERY quick to find that he had two bladder stones that needed to be removed. Dr. M was so helpful and reassuring that surgery would be the best option to get him healed and on the road to recovery, it put me at ease for something I was so nervous to do. They scheduled him immediately, and for that I was so grateful. While going through "sleepovers" (overnight recovery), everyone was so sweet to let this worried Mama visit to check on progress and answer questions. Duncan even texted me one night with a photo and a "miss you!" text ;) It's the constant communication, little details, and general friendliness that Duncan and I love about Lockridge. There have been times where the hospital has run late for appointments - but with a busy practice, that's to be expected. I can't knock a star off for that! Even when busy, they still give their undivided attention to Duncan and I. We are so happy we were recommended this Vet and we certainly recommend them to anyone looking. Dr. McCammon & Staff - Duncan and I are forever grateful for your love and care, and we appreciate all that you do!
Have a home to bring my babies to when they have a tummy ache or a boo boo. Love them.
I brought in my 2 cats they are a bit skiddish but they were treated with so much care and concerned for their feelings. They were also very kind to us. I would absolutely refer people to this vet.
We've had nothing but good experiences with multiple cats being brought to Lockridge over the course of more than 15 years. We've seen different vets at various points and all of them (the techs and other staff as well) have been nothing short of compassionate, patient, understanding, and a pleasure to engage with. They take the time to understand our kitties personalities and work with us to determine how best to keep them happy and healthy. Their communication is clear and they always follow through to meet the expectations they've set with us. We've been through FIV, infections, cancer, CM, and ultimately euthanasia more than once, but their caring concern and respect for us as a family in those difficult times has made all the difference in the world and it's something we'll never forget.
We have been taking our cat Gideon since May of 2006. He is now 15 plus years old. Doctors and staff are very compassionate, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. We feel Gideon is good care at Lockridge.
The Vets and the staff are awesome here. They are very caring and they explain everything. They are good about giving the options you might need without pushing you one way or the other. They have been great with our cats and dog. I highly recommend them for your furry family members.
Our family started at LAH over 50 years ago. We were so loyal that even after moving forty-five minutes away, we still went to LAH. We were concerned when the practice was sold but we couldn't be happier with the new doctors. They have been patient, compassionate, and simply wonderful with our cats. Even though we have since lost our cat family from the Dr. Lockridge days, we continue as clients because we know that our cats are getting the most progressive and thoughtful care possible. I can't recommend highly enough this practice for your animals. We continue to rely on Lockridge Animal Hospital for the care for all of our four beloved cats.
Wonderful vet! Clean, beautifully decorated waiting area. Nice assistants. Very caring. Received a call back after 24 hours to check on my puppy. Very informative meeting, appointment. Very easy to talk with. Puppy is better all ready! ♥️♥️♥️
There is no better veterinarian than Dr. McCammon. He's given us years with our pets that we wouldn't have had without him. His veterinary skills and kind heart are unmatched. Thank you Dr. M!
Words can’t describe how amazing the staff and doctors are here. My cat was truly blessed as was I from all of them!! If it wasn’t for lockridge my cat wouldn’t be alive today. Tubby loves you guys thanks for all you’ve done for him!
Lockridge is great. We brought our new puppy for his first visit and they were very professional and courteous especially with the current pandemic situation. They answered all our questions and were super thorough.
Anytime Molly is having an issue, I can always count on Lockridge Animal Hospital seeing her immediately. They are so caring and loving you know you and your pet are always in good hands.
Sincerely
Nancy D
Kind, caring, compassionate, clean, professional. Honestly, I am beyond pleased with having found Lockridge after my previous vet's office went out of business. They have a separate area for cats, which helps a lot since my cat really dislikes dogs.
Very caring staff and doctors. They love your dog as much as you do!! Have always had a positive experience every time I bring my dog in for her appointments.
Our cat has been going to Lockridge for 2+ years. Overall I am happy with the staff and services provided. I do feel the pricing is very high, we have had two overnight stays with our cat and they charged us "medical waste removal" for everytime he pooped and various charges for "general hospital supplies". Ask for pricing before you agree to anything as they nickle and dime for everything.
We always brought my dog Rodney to this vet even had him put to sleep there. As horrible an experience it is to put down a pet, these guys were so nice. They let us have a lil room for our family to say goodbye. They didn't rush us, they knew it was hard & let us all cry and hug him. That 1st Christmas without him, they sent us a Christmas card saying they knew it was our first year without him & gave their well wishes. That was over 10 years ago & after that I will NOT take my pets anywhere else. I moved to FL last year, but anytime someone needs a recommendation I always tell them to go to Lockridge. Thank you for always being so good to the fuzziest parts of our family. We will always have a special place in our hearts for you guys 💕☺👏🏼😘
Didn't have a local vet yet called and they saw my dog the same day even for a minor emergency. It was a quick wait time and a reasonable price for a first time visit. Hadn't been to the vet for a while because me and my dog get anxiety. They were totally understanding. I definitely would recommend this vet and we will be back!
My daughter and I brought our bunny in for a first check up and the team was so inviting. We had an amazing experience and everyone was so kind and friendly. They were able to educate us on basic knowledge about the health and diet of a bunny. I didn't leave there without making my next visit ☺☺
Best vet in town, and we've been to a few. These guys know the ins and outs of animal anatomy.. seriously though, I wouldn't trust our pets with anyone else.
I’ve been bringing my pets to Lockridge for 22 years I’ve loved my vets all thought they keep leaving they offer excellent care but seem a bit pricey. I am happy with there service but am going to look around because my three favorite vets over the years are gone
I've been taking my pets to Lockridge for over 20 years. They are THE best! Everyone there from the receptionists, to the technicians, to the veterinary assistants, to the veterinarians, is so caring and kind yet professional. The care they dispense is first class and they explain everything so you can understand and answer any questions you have. I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for my pets My favorite is Dr. McCammon, but Dr. Richard, Dr. Carey, and even the "new" guy Dr. Gentilella is great. Thanks for taking such great care of my family, past and present.
I am extremely appreciative of their recognition that my pet needed to be seen instead of just using the same "we are at capacity" line I heard at 4 other places. I understand the times are difficult, but they recognized my anxiety and provided assistance.
My family has been taking our much loved family members to Lockridge Animal Hospital since 1952, even before it was Lockridge! We have been with Dr. Durant, Dr. Lockridge and now with Dr. McCammon's team. I have never been disappointed. I have laughed, and cried, in that office my whole life. Veterinary medicine has changed dramatically in my lifetime and I am grateful. What I a more grateful for is my decision to stay with the practice when Dr. Lockridge retired. They are the best team in the veterinary medical field. Five years ago I moved fifty miles away and still "we commute". When a loved one is injured or ill, trust is the most comforting feeling and I totally trust everyone at Lockridge. On a lighter note, it is the cleanest place I have ever seen!
WE have been bringing our pets to the Lockridge Animal Hospital for a very long time. All of the Veterinary Doctors led by Drs. McCammon and Richards care for our pets with compassion and thorough care. We Trust and appreciate the care given to our beloved pets.
Our pups are new patients. The staff have been warm and friendly. The Doctor has called and talked to us several times about the care needs of our pets. The care and service we have gotten has been wonderful!
I recently moved to Manchester and have been using Lockridge animal hospital for my two dogs a beagle and a chihuahua both over the age of 11. The doctors have been wonderful I've had an emergency for one of my dogs and they took me right in. Both dogs had dental work and it was great. It's very hard to find a good veterinarian hospital that will take good care of your animals and lockridge animal hospital is one of the good ones. I don't trust my animals to anybody unless I feel comfortable with them and the staff at lockridge animal hospital is great caring and loving to my babies.
If you’re going anywhere but Lockridge you’re missing out on a place that cares for your animals more than anything! I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. I even received a phone call after bringing our new puppy there a few days later just to see how everything was going with her! Amazing people work here and it shows!
The staff and doctors are great! They helped diagnosis my dogs eye injury and was able to get me a referral appointment the next day. My Gizmo has been with them 13 years and Bella 11years. I truly appreciate there care and guidance.
Had my first visit at Lockridge with Matteo, my 5 year old recently adopted Domestic shorthair. I was extremely nervous to bring him to the vet because he hates car rides and I got him from a shelter. Lockridge put me right at ease. I was immediately comforted by the fact that they have a separate waiting room for cats and dogs, so I knew I didn't have to worry about Matteo's interactions with other animals. I also really appreciated how thorough and nice Dr. Childress and Alexis the technician were. Matteo was in good care there and I know that Matteo and I are going to be a part of the Lockridge Animal Hospital family as clients for a very long time. Thanks for the great care. See you guys soon.
I have been going to different veterinarians in NH for more than 30 years and recently was recommended Lockridge by a friend. Now, after going there for a year I can honestly say that they are second to none! Every single person I have dealt with has been courteous and kind; treating all of my animals as if they were their own. I have gone through dental surgeries, spaying, and general health care on both dogs and cats and every time I have been extremely happy with the quality, care and results. I have also found their prices on everything to be lower than other Vets I used in the past. These people are the real deal, and run their hospital the way it should be run. It's not often I take the time to write a review (this is actually my first), but the Lockridge should be recognized for their excellence in animal care. In my experience, and that's extensive, there is no better!
Lockridge has a very caring, friendly staff.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff who consistently provide clear instructions and reports on the health of our animals and are transparent about what they are doing and why. We have been bringing our cats here for 2 years and have never been unhappy or unclear as to the health of our family members. 5 stars in all aspects!
We have been with Lockridge Animal Hospital for over 12 years. The staff, and especially Dr. Pamela Richards are extremely caring and humanistic in their approach in dealing with our pets and with us. Our first Golden Retriever, Houston, was diagnosed with cancer of the aorta in 2012. He fought a brave battle, as we did, to assure the best of care. Dr. Richards provided the treatment options and direction to assure our treasured pet was comfortable during his battle. When it finally came to the point that allowing him to go on was not the right decision, Dr. Richards and her assistant cried along with us in his final moments.
We now have our second Golden, River. He has been in Dr. Richards care since a puppy and is doing very well. Her calming effect has often resulted in offsetting his puppy energy and enthusiasm. Although we have singled out Dr. Richards in our praise, we have found all of the veterinarians and staff at Lockridge to be very professional and caring in the treatment of our pets.

Started bringing our cats here a few years ago. Nice facility with plenty of staff. Have dealt with several vets since that time. Most of which have been a pleasure to deal with and very sympathetic to our animals.
I went to Lockridge hospital on my friend's recommendation as I was on a holiday with my pets from MA. I had with me my little girl whom I knew was very sick. By Saturday morning, her strength were all gone...
I met Dr Carolyn Leahy and she put an plan in action to see what needed to be done for Mia and what we could do to help her.
After a blood test it became clear that my poor little girl could not make it any longer.
When the decision was taken, the whole staff were very considerate, helpful, leaving me plenty of time to say goodbyes.
If there is ever a good place to do it, I highly recommend Lockridge hospital.
Thank you again to all of the staff and to Dr Leahy.
OUTSTANDING! When I moved to Manchester, this office came highly recommended, and they definitely live up to their reputation. Everyone that I have talked to has been welcoming, and friendly. They handle the animals with care and compassion. If I could I would give 10 stars!
A really impressive vet hospital with caring staff and knowledgeable professionals. I was impressed with the quality of the care. Clean and friendly location. Was busy when I got there but they still saw my cat at the scheduled time and overall I can say I am pleased thus far.
I cannot thank the staff at Lockridge Animal Hospital enough for their immediate outstanding compassionate critical care provided to my dog! I brought my dog there in a very emergent situation they had never seen my Lila before and everyone acted promptly and calmly to provide her with the upmost immediate care she needed. Dr. McCammon and his staff saved my dogs life and they allowed me to be with her ever step of the way. I will FOREVER be grateful!! Thank you all so much! Much love to you all!
Love the Wilmot family
