TL;DR - everyone is great and accommodating, prices are affordable. I’ve been taking my pup Archer since I got him and everyone at the clinic has been amazing to us. The staff is friendly and knowledge, the techs are patient, friendly and kind. Archer’s had a couple issues lately and as a worried pup parent the staff has been understanding and very accommodating to his needs. The doctor is great, explains what’s going on and what needs to happen next and goes above and beyond when we needed him.

Such nice, compassionate caring staff and veterinarian. I was on the next door app and saw this vet clinic getting referred by lots of people. He truly does care about your pet and is affordable. He took his time and taught us how to administer insulin and reassured me that our dog was gonna be fine. Definitely referring this vet to everyone!!

Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our dogs. One of them passed away peacefully at home this weekend but my family and I will always remember how well you took care of him. We are so grateful. The staff are so kind and compassionate. Dr. Oh is absolutely one of a kind, so honest, caring and gentle with animals. It’s hard to find a vet clinic like this. I’ve had dogs my whole life and have never experienced this degree of care anywhere else. I feel lucky to have found them.

If you are on the fence about taking your furbaby here-- let me tell you that Dr. Oh and his entire staff have been the best I have ever experienced. We have a 19 year old shihtzu (so we've been to many places in the past) and have experienced all kinds of service from both vet and staff. I have not experienced a single negative thing here. We found this place in a desperate time for a second opinion and we are so glad we did. We drive all the way from Koreatown because they are just that awesome. Dr. Oh is always pleasant, thorough, compassionate, and LISTENS !! Can you believe that?? Haha. We just left a vet who had been seeing Kiki for 2 years. Our last visit to him-- he tells me he thinks she's blind. Excuse me, she's been blind the entire 2+ years you've been her vet. It's only been about 3 months ish since we've been coming here but dr. Oh remembers her and even how loud her heart murmur is! I also deeply and genuinely appreciate that he has NEVER mentioned euthanasia to us. So many vets are quick to suggest that because of her age but Dr. Oh finds solutions and has never pushed or even said that word. I am always impressed by his staff as well. Every single one has been patient, compassionate, kind, and understanding. They answer your questions and if they don't have the answer, they will find it for you. The communication with results and appointments have been amazing. Every vet tech has been gentle and sweet to our baby. They seem so busy all the time but they get it done efficiently! Even with emergencies, they've been able to squeeze us in with very minimal wait. They also bring a sheet of paper with all the possible charges of your visit and won't proceed until you approve! I'm overall so impressed and in awe that a veterinary hospital like this could exist but feel so blessed that we found it.

Absolutely hands down best Vet clinic anywhere in Los Angeles! Caring Doctor and staff. The love patients and their humans both. Extremely professional compassionate and kind. I have a very nervous chihuahua who usually is terrified at the vet! Some how they do a great job of making her comfortable. They are always understanding and kind, the main Dr on staff always explains things in a comprehensive and easy to understand way as well as letting you know the full cost beforehand! ive had an appointment and x rays comped here when we had to return for a second appointment! I found this to be so courteous considering how much us pet owners spend on vet bills! Will continue to be my favorite vet ever!

I’ve always came here for my cats’ needs. Dr Oh is an empathic vet along with his staff. I’ve always been treated well and with whatever questions they answer without an attitude or trying to make me feel stupid. The only thing that is suss is that they take your pet inside without you but that’s okay because my cats always appeared calm and their issues have always been addressed. Their prices are affordable too and honestly I never had a long wait time here because I’ve been helped promptly. I’m always going to come back here. It’s a clean facility too.

Doctor and staff are very friendly and hands on. Had my dog undergo surgery for bladder stone removal.. they made sure my dog is in a great condition and recovery fast. Updates me twice a day.. and gives an excellent service everytime. im very happy and i trust them.

Our 17.5 year old cockapoo, Sammy, had been a patient at another clinic his entire life, but when the practice was sold, new ownership made us feel like they were constantly trying to find ways to generate huge bills ($275 to clean his ears!!). The obviousness of it all made us distrust their recommendations on whether or not the things they were suggesting were necessary or just a money grab. Consequently, we started looking for a new vet. We then found Van Nuys Veterinary Clinic and they were really wonderful to our beloved Sammy from go. Dr. Oh, the main doctor there, was kind, professional and personable. Sam never got anxious or nervous with him even once. Unfortunately for us, Sam's health issues declined and reached a point where we had to make the excruciatingly painful decision to let him go. We were and are heartbroken over it. 😪 By the time the decision came about, Dr. Oh had only been treating Sammy for a few months. He handled the entire process of letting Sammy go with caring, compassion and kindness, which is what mattered most to us in that moment. But then Dr. Oh told us he was not going to charge us and was going to pay to for Sammy's cremation. We were stunned and never expected that ... why would we? Dr. Oh simply said he appreciated how well we had obviously cared for Sammy (he passed due to a brain lesion of some sort, but was otherwise still a strong little tank nearly 18 years into his beautiful life) and he wanted to show his appreciation for that as a doctor. Imagine that!! Ultimately, Dr. Oh shared true grace with us. He didn't have to do all that he did ... we certainly never asked for nor expected it, but we felt the touch of his kindness in that horrible moment of loss and grief. What a good man and a caring doctor he showed himself to be. He sets the tone for his office and it's clear his entire staff carries that same feeling of being good people who love animals. We have two other dogs and cats and Dr. Oh will certainly be their vet for life, along with any other animals we will eventually adopt in the future. Dr. Oh and his staff have our trust and confidence, and I would unequivocally recommend his office be the choice to care for all your pets.

The Dr was very personable and so was the staff. It was our first time with a new rescue dog. The exam was not very thorough! The Dr checked her heart looked her over and left. A staff member came in with list of what they recommended for our dog. Undated shots blood test stool sample. I asked her about the dogs ears as the Dr hadn't looked at them. She had him come back and he found an infection in dogs ear. No temperature was taken. They took our dog away to another room for the ear cleaning, blood test and vaccinations. I prefer being with my dog when procedures are done! I wouldn't leave a child alone with a new Dr either! The only way you know everything is done without stressing the animal is to be with them. So they were not great but not terrible.

I have tried other vets and they were not as good. They are fast yet thorough. Good customer service. The best thing I can say is they will outline what they suggest and pricing and they only do what you can afford. That being said very accommodating and will even knock the price down if possible without losing a service. Many times I see dog rescuers bring dogs in for shots and whatever else they need. You can tell he enjoys his work. Most times the medication needed is on site. Will sometimes consider walk ins .Highly recommend.

I've had mixed experiences here. The first time I saw Dr. Oh he was very thorough in his explanations and I felt confident about entrusting him with my pets. The second time I saw him was the opposite. The whole appointment was very rushed, there was no actual physical exam, he didn't listen to what I said because he'd suggest things I'd just told him we'd already tried unsuccessfully. Maybe he was having an off day or he's just overwhelmed because this place is always busy and he seems to be the only vet there. One thing I really disliked is that he didn't call with the test results. Every other vet I've ever been to, the doctor is the one who calls after tests/procedures so they can not only discuss the results but answer any questions since they're the only one qualified to do so. Here, a vet tech or one of the front desk staff calls you with the results and if you have any follow up questions you have to ask them to relay a message and wait again. And that leads to the biggest issue I have with this place: it's so hard to actually get through to anyone. The phone line is always busy. Emails go unanswered. That said, it's one of the most affordable vets I've found in the Valley. Unless prices have changed recently, exam fee is $35, bloodwork and x-rays were approx $160-$180 each (edited to clarify that that's the price individually, not for both). I just wish the level of care was more consistent.

By far the best vet experience I've had in my dogs 11 years. He is a very big aggressive boy and they handled him so well and Dr. Oh was non judgemental and super helpful! Also the visit was super quick! We were in and out in a little over an hour with sedation, x rays, blood work, vaccinations and all! I cannot express the relief I feel knowing that we have a new amazing vet to take our boy too. The entire staff extremely kind and professional. Would 100% this vet to any pet owners! Dr. Oh is really just a great Doctor! He listens, and we really felt that he took into consideration any concern we had. We have taken our kitten there for a couple of concerns and he has always put our minds at ease. We had our baby Kitty spayed there and her incision site has healed so well! While their prices are a little bit higher than other clinics, the care, value and walk in service are worth just that little bit extra. Mind you, their prices are not unreasonable. Thank you Dr. Oh and staff!!

Van Nuys Vet Clinic is NOW my go-to vet. Getting same day appointments is difficult in general.. even more so during a pandemic. My cat was very ill. I explained my situation to the front desk and they were nice enough to squeeze me in. They told me I had to wait a bit longer since I was a walk in BUT when I finally came in, in person they took me right in. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and explained everything that I needed to know about my cats condition. He answered any questions I had. He was super gentle with my cat. His staff were super nice as well and the clinic was BEYOND clean. Definitely a place to go if you want a reliable and trustworthy vet/clinic. I’ll be taking my other animals here from now on.

I left my old vet clinic of over 30 YEARS after a certain incident didn't leave me happy and I sought a new clinic. I saw this clinic suggested by many people on the Nextdoor app so I decided to give them a try. I can't recommend this place enough! Although it's in a strip mall and the clinic itself is quite small, Dr.O has wonderful personality, is always so helpful and kind and usually personally calls you back with your pets test results and goes over them with you and allows you to ask any follow ups. And the staff/vet techs have always been very helpful and super sweet. Sometimes it's a little busier than other times so you might wait 15 mins or so, but I personally don't mind because I know my furbabies are going to get the care and respect they deserve. In the past year+ I've been coming here, I've brought my cats in for issues ranging from a fever, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, bladder stone removal, torn ACL surgery (where they called in a specialized orthopedic surgeon), hyperthyroidism, tooth infection/cleaning, to routine check-ups and vaccinations. I have several special needs and Senior cars why is why there always seems to be some issue, but thank God for Van Nuys Vet Clinic- I don't know where my babies or I would be without them!

Love this place! I had never been in before and needed my cat seen for an eye infection. After initially saying they had nothing available for 5 days, they called right back and told me I could get him in at 3pm same day. The office was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient. The doctor was very gentle with my nervous cat and had me in and out in under half an hour. I will be using them for primary care from now on and would definitely recommend them.

I’ve gone through 5 different vets for my 5 year old English bulldog. I’ve never experienced a “bad vet” - just different types. Dr. Oh has set a high bar for the rest of the Vets in my opinion. Dr. Oh is the the best and it’s obvious that others feel the same. I switched vets because my dog had an eye infection that wouldn’t get better. (Dr. Oh is who actually told me it was an infection as soon as he walked into the room and saw his eye). They did a test and then showed me under a blue light that it was an eye ulcer that got infected. They provided meds and in a week it started to get better. I also talked to him about his back legs and he provided some medicine that will assist his eyes and a possible sprain. He said if his legs don’t get better than we will do an X-ray to see if it’s something else. I was grateful as it seemed like he didn’t want to run up my bill as other vets have. I had to come back because my dogs legs were still bothering him and would sometimes limp. Dr. Oh wanted to know more information so he took the time to talk about the history of when it started my dogs symptoms. Dr. Oh had some theories of what the issue may be and then had my dogs legs and hips X-rayed. It turned out that my dog had tore the ligaments in his knees - like a torn ACL. He brought up a YouTube video to help me understand what is going on with my dogs legs. He needed surgery. I ended up doing the surgery for one of his legs and Dr. Oh said that it depends on each dog and owner but it will be up to me if I would want to do the 2nd leg. I was happy with the surgery and will do the 2nd leg later this year. I want to add that the staff is terrific. They are busy and the phone can busy at times but it’s because they are busy. Everyone there seems to like their job and to me it shows that there is great leadership. I’m not sure if that is because of Dr. Oh or if there is an office manager. Regardless of where it’s coming from. They are friendly and professional.

This was my first time going to this specific Clinic. Before I came here, I went to a wonderful veterinarian office that gave really good quotes for how much each exam was going to be but for some reason they shut their doors. I'm so grateful I was able to find this Veterinary Clinic because it has close to the same quotes as my old Veterinarian office. First impressions, it was a pretty small location but it had enough room to fit approximately 9 people and the front desk had a person to check them in at all times. Going into the exam rooms was simplistic and had cute pictures of dogs and cats. Second impression, the main doctor came in and quickly examined my animal but since my animal was afraid and nervous it looked like barely they touched my animal. Then a veterinarian technician came in and broke down everything the main doctor didn't tell me. The vet technician was friendly, nice, and was diligent about satisfying the owners. Third impression, price-wise it was reasonable, for example, if I wanted to get some blood work done for my animal, then it would come around to $200 or $300. In addition, if I wanted to get the necessary shots for my animal that are required for the license in LA then the price range would be around $15 for distemper parvo annual, Bordetella annual vaccine, and a Corona Annual vaccine then for rabies it would $9. Depending on what you're going in for I would say prices may vary but this is for my overall experience with the prices. All in all, I would recommend this Veterinarian Clinic to people who are interested in high quality Care and sufficient service.

Super fast and efficient. Great quality X-rays and affordable compared to other vets. But, analysis of X-rays were a bit suspect. Was told that my cat would require two back to back surgeries costing upwards of 4 grand. Very quick analysis with no alternative solutions given. Will update post after I get a second opinion.

Nothing to complain about in terms of prices, wait times, etc. However, Dr. Oh is always in a rush and does not spend the time to make sure you have all the information you need. You are given a diagnosis that is sometimes suspiciously fast, given medication, and then rushed out. This is a great vet for ordinary checkups or nonthreatening issues, but if you need somebody to actually care and take time to give you personable service, then this is not the place to go.

Went a couple of times with my kitty. First time was great and staff was overall friendly. My cat felt comfortable and the people who gave the vaccines were nice as well. My only concern is that they don’t actually tell you want each thing you are paying for is. I’ll ask for my cats second set of shots and there will be a list of other items I didn’t ask for. I did not need my cat to be de-wormed for the second time. This veterinary clinic is nice when you get there but has awful customer service. I’ve called several times to make or cancel appointments but it takes around 15-20 minutes for them to actually pick up the phone. I do not know what the girls up in the front are actually doing but it doesn’t take that much to just pick up the phone. There are much cheaper options for veterinary clinics with better customer service, I would only return because it is clean and not sketchy inside.

I have been a dog owner for 14 year and I wish I knew about Dr Oh. I have never met a Veterinarian that actually cares about animals and is not just in it for the business. The prices are extremely affordable and natural supplants are recommended instead of expensive drugs. Highly respond this place the staff is nice too!!! Dr Oh is amazing !!

Dr. Oh's accent can be a bit hard to understand at times, but he evaluated our cat and did bloodwork, and negotiated a very fair price for us. I'm grateful for his generosity and desire to make us happy customers. The only issue is that there is only one trashcan there (that I know of). Not great for a place with pets who have potty accidents. On another note, thankfully there's a bathroom (I have OAB) but it's strangely close to the front desk. Hard to tell how close they were following covid precautions...quite a few customers came inside. Nonetheless, I'm satisfied with the service.

One of the best clinics I've ever been to. Dr. Oh and his staff were very compassionate, and treated my dog and I very well during a difficult time. He explained my dog's illness in a way that I could understand so that I could make the right decisions and he even dismissed some of the fees. The clinic is well sanitized and the staff were very friendly (one of them had to clean up my dog's vomit and he was nice about it).

I love Dr. Oh! My dog does not like new people and will not let anyone he does not know get close to him. With Dr. Oh, my dog was calm and did not have the normal anxious behavior I observed when taking him to other vets. When I took my dog to other vets he was very scared and either would hide under the chair, shake, or try to run away. With Dr. Oh my dog just sat there calmly and seemed fine, which I was not expecting! Dr. Oh is very easygoing, professional, friendly, funny, and calm, which is likely why my dog was able to be calm and feel comfortable with him. Dr. Oh is a 30 minute drive for me but I don't care! His prices are also very reasonable and I don't feel like he is just trying to make money and charge me for things that I don't need.

I adopted a puppy about 2 weeks ago who started to show some alarming symptoms. She was limp, not eating, and vomiting. I immediately took her here to find out what was going on. It turns out she had a parasite and hypoglycemia. My pup is a Pomerianian so her little body was giving up fast. Dr. Oh informed me of my best options and we went with it. You can tell he is very experienced and guides you through the process. The staff is also very knowledgeable and kind. They were able to find my puppy’s tiny veins with ease when she was hospitalized. Dr. Oh called me with updates when she stayed overnight. During my follow up appointments the receptionists always greeted me with a smile and asked me how my puppy was doing. My puppy gets so happy when she sees Dr. Oh and the other staff and it’s obvious why; They have treated her so well! I had an older dog years ago and went to MANY veterinarians in the area. This is by far the best place I’ve been to! There is no doubt that they truly care about their patients. They go above and BEYOND to make sure your little babies are comfortable and get better asap. I am SO thankful to have found them! ❤️

Dr. Oh made my visit to Van Nuys Veterinary Clinic a memorable one. When I first came in, my visit was a little rough but I expressed my concern and Dr. Oh went above and far beyond, to make things right. You can tell that he prides himself in making sure his clients (human and furry), are happy campers. He had mentioned to do bloodwork on my little senior girl who was having tummy troubles and check out what may be going on under the hood. He thoroughly checked out her blood, did a feces test, and an x-ray to rule out any major issues. He found her thyroid was off and put her on some meds and requested I came back in two weeks to re-test her blood. While going through blood work, he explained in detail what was going on and helped me understand the results which was helpful and gave me more of a reason to trust him. I appreciate Dr. Oh, his honesty, his kindness, and his staff. A visit to the vet is never fun or easy and he has really proven that he wants to do the right thing for his clients. Dr. Oh is a great, generous, kind man that is true to his Vocation in caring and saving animals lifes. I went in heart broken having to make the hardest decision of my life to put my beloved dog Princess who is 8 yrs old to sleep. I took her to many Vets for a tumor in her paw that was growing fast and the only solution was to amputate her limb but were charging me $7,000 + that is extremely out of my range. I had to pay upfront no one was offering payment plans. I started Googling for places that put dogs to sleep and this vet appeared. I called went in and Dr. Oh came in the room examend my dog told me she looked very alert and said, that he wanted to do and X-Ray and if the X-Ray came out good and her heart wasn't affected we could do something for her. Quick, let us be in the room with our cat during the initial diagnosis which helped her relax as she's a very anxious kitten. Update for Feb 2023 - they were able to squeeze us in on a day that was full to help address a mass that was on our cat's leg. They were able to remove the mass and let us take her home the same day.
