I recently lost my 15 year old cat Toby, and still felt the need to come on here and thank the doctors and techs for everything they did for him. Dr. Thiessen worked tirelessly for him, trying medications and suggesting treatments in order to give him more time. The techs graciously offered us stools when we had to visit him on an IV, and they let us take him home for his final days. We had arranged for an at home service for him, but when Toby told us his time had come we rushed him back to pass peacefully, and I’m truly thankful for the compassion and stories they shared with us in his last hour. As your animal ages, every extra second with them is a blessing and this team works hard to give you as much time as possible. Thank you for giving me as much time as you could, and for treating Toby as one of your own.

My kitty got the good fortune of coming to Tender Touch for her first 5 years of annual check ups. It wasn’t until we moved and had to find a new vet that we realized just how lucky we were at Tender Touch. Muffin really only loves her human mom and tends to display her dissatisfaction for other people. She is not mean but has a big bark to her in order to not be touched by others. Tender touch was soft and gentle with Muffin and gave her the proper care and understanding she needed and deserves. We will miss this wonderful place.

Tender Touch is a phenomenal vet practice. They have given us a more extensive veterinary overview of my dog more than any other place we have taken him to. And he has a lot of issues! They are extremely knowledgeable and understanding of both the pets and pet parents alike. My only wish is that I didn’t have to receive sad news when I was there.

Love this vet!!! We’ve been going for 10 years and have only ever had fantastic experiences. They are high quality, friendly, clean, organized, and very fairly priced! They don’t try and add on or pressure you to spend on extra services, and they truly care about your pet. I drive over an hour for this vet because it’s absolutely worth it.

Tender Touch hospital has cared for all of my pets since they first opened and their professionalism and knowledgeable advice has only improved over time. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and take a real interest in the health and well me in of all of my pets. And when the time came to say goodbye to one of my pets, they were outgoing and sympathetic towards my need to grieve the loss and to look forward to my next friend.

The doctor and staff were awesome. We were new clients and they helped us out so we did not have to take our cats, that hate to go in the car, to a different place to take care of their matted fur. We left cats there for a couple hours and they took care of everything we needed in the one visit. Very helpful.

My (no longer a) puppy has been going to Tender Touch since she was about 8 weeks old. They have always always always provided the most thoughtful care and follow-up. I always get a a call the next day to check on her and always receive comprehensive consulting, directly from the vet, after her visit. They always tell me exactly what they've checked and exactly what they found. I always feel that my pup is truly cared for when she is at Tender Touch, it is not transactional in any way. The Doctor and her assistant were incredible! I was worried about my cat Uma would attack them. To my surprise both were calm, showed no fear and knew exactly what to do. I believe I was the nervous one. My cat had a very bad experience several years ago, but felt it was time for her to see a Vet. I was so impressed with their service! We love every single staff member here. Our three cats are patients of theirs, and we've loved every visit. Most importantly; They helped walk us through one of our cats treatments for FIP. Yes. FIP. Our boyo survived FiP; and the vets and staff here helped us monitor his bloodwork every month, and evaluate his weight and general improvement. If your cat gets FIP; Find the facebook group FIP Warriors 5.0. They will get you the meds, and although the vets can't administer them for you, the vets Here don't tell you to kill your cat. And they will help you, and will cheer you on. It's a fatal diagnosis; but there is med available, just not at any USA vet. Thank you, with all our hearts, for the continued care of our Orange Cat Gang. We love you, and we appreciate you all!!!

I’ve taken both of my dogs here for several years. All of the vets, techs and office team have been wonderful. My rescue dogs are highly anxious around new people (which makes me anxious) but Tender Touch works well with us to get through appointments as easily as possible. Staff are super friendly and communicative, they explain treatment options and recommendations clearly and are very transparent about pricing. I have an indoor/outdoor cat, and Tender Touch is always able to take him for a last minute check up when he gets beat up in fights with the neighbor cats. The vets provide very thorough examinations and care.

We could not say enough about how much we love Dr Barnett and the staff at Tender Touch. We took our very senior dog there towards the end of his life - and he and we were treated so well. Staff was great they were very helpful on explaining what was wrong with my sick puppy dog. They were able to fit her in same day appointment when she was sick and couldn't keep anything down. If I need to take her to a vet again for an emergency (hopefully I will not have to) I will call them again. I brought my senior dog to Dr. Audrey Barnett-Pritchard as my pup has been experiencing some more health issues as she ages and I haven’t been thrilled with the service provided by my prior vet. The appointment started on time and I appreciated the care and time spent to review prior records, listened to my concerns, and was able to explain some things to me that were poorly described by previous vets and specialists. We are working on getting my baby girl in better shape but will definitely be back to see the team at Tender Touch. You can definitely tell they care about animals and don’t overprescribe or push services that aren’t needed.

I had a new patient visit for my kitty, Shaun. It was curbside drop off and pick up, and everything went smoothly and quickly. The staff as well as the doctor were very personable and friendly. The vet called me after the exam and spent at least 15 minutes talking to me about my kitty, her eating habits, and things I can do to help with potty training, eating, and playing. Overall I'm very happy I selected them as my vet, and I know Shaun and I look forwarding to working with them in the future!

Here’s the thing. This is my first google review ever, but it’s because I truly love this vet. My sweet dog has had a variety of health issues and injuries over the years. We have been frequent flyers at Tender Touch for the past few - we all have that one dog, right? I've had positive interactions with all the Veterinarian's and staff at Tender Touch. Not only do they provide top notch care, they also have phenomenal customer service. Dr. Barr has consulted on all my dogs injuries, and now I always try to see her. She always provides a few recommendations and doesn’t jump to high-cost tests. We all now how expensive vet care can be, especially when we’re talking surgeries. I've recommended Tender Touch to many of my friends, and I'm recommending them to you too.

Tender Touch has been AMAZING! I adopted my dog in March, right as COVID was starting to shut things down. I got our first appointment in before they had to switch over to their drop-off system, but have had a few appointments this year (for normal new-puppy stuff) and they have been amazing. They definitely seem to understand that it's not easy to have a new rescue dog (or any dog) and not be able to physically go into the appointment with them to ask questions. They've been extremely responsive and helpful, always ready and willing to answer my long list of questions, no matter how major or minor. They always follow up after the appointment too to make sure my dog is still doing well and to see if I've thought of any more questions, even if we were just there for a quick booster shot or something small. I grew up with dogs, but this is my first dog that is 100% my responsibility (health, training, vet bills, etc.). I did my research and read reviews for a lot of vets around Denver. There will always be a few bad ones because of unfortunate circumstances anywhere you go, but the majority of the reviews I read about Tender Touch made me feel like it was the best choice and I am glad we chose them! They've definitely gone above and beyond customer service-wise during these unusual times to make sure I feel good about my dog's health and really do seem to care about his wellbeing! I've never felt like they were overcharging me for anything or "upselling" in the slightest. I don't normally write many reviews, but I was planning on it even before they emailed me to ask how our visit went because I really do appreciate them so much!

Through the years, they've been there for everything like annual check ups, helping manage my cat's chronic condition, and have been there through the hardest part of having to say good bye. All the vets and staff here are just fantastic! I have been bringing my lab, Betty, here for 8 years. From her very first checkup when I adopted her at 2 years old, to her annual visits as a (now) senior 10 year old, we have received nothing but the best care. I originally came here because I lived in the neighborhood and it was convenient. We have since moved and I still come across town because we love them! I think we have seen just about every vet on staff here and no one tries to push vaccines or meds that aren't necessary, and they really try to keep costs down or at least provide payment options. That being said, they are a bit on the pricey side as far as vets go, but you really get what you pay for! The office and patient rooms are always very clean, communicating with office staff and making appointments is effortless with their online portal, and they always provide a variety of options for treatment. I never feel forced into any treatment and really feel like the decision is up to us. Betty has now had a couple of teeth removed here, and most recently had a cancerous tumor that they were able to check and give a preliminary diagnosis the day of our office visit. We then had to schedule surgery to have it removed. For both the tooth and tumor surgeries the instructions and expectations were clear, we received photos of the surgical procedures, and helpful info for follow-up care. I just really feel that they go above and beyond here. I can't say enough great things.

I have been going to Tender Touch Animal Hospital for many years now with my 2 cats & my 2 dogs. They might not be the cheapest. But the do exactly what they say there are going to do. They even go above & beyond to make you & your fur baby feel special. I most definitely will recommend for anyone to go to this place because of how much they care about our animals.

They were able to squeeze Zoe, my 12 year old Terrier, in for emergency dental surgery the day I called. They are so caring and so professional. Dr. Thiessen is the best vet I’ve ever met. She’s helped me on so many levels… from my cat Huey, who was diagnosed with acromegaly to my latest incident with Zoe. Dr. Thiessen even emailed at 9:30 the night of Zoe’s surgery, to see how she was doing. They are amazing and I would recommend her and Tender Touch hands down.

Everyone was friendly and We just switched from a larger big box vet because I wanted my dog to have a little more attention by the same couple doctors instead of getting a new one each time. I can't say enough good things about Tender Touch and Dr. Thiessen in particular. My pup was having mystery urinary symptoms, and I knew something wasn't right. The team from the front office to the tech and then the doctor really made my girl feel comfortable and gave me very clear and non-pushy options for different things she was needing. While you still can’t go in with your pets due to COVID rules they have a very good system in place. I waited maybe barely 5 min before they came out to take my dogs in for their checkups. The vet called me while I was waiting and gave me all the information on what was done how my dogs were doing and asked me general questions to get to know them better. My cats have seen Dr. Barr and Dr. Barnett over the years. Dr. Barr saw my cat of 17 years for the last few years of his life. Dr. Barnett has been treating a cat that was abandoned who I took in. He was really sick but a fantastic community of vets got him through his initial health crisis. Between Dr. Barnett and a vet at another practice, Roger went from being on death's doorstep to being a pretty happy cat. He still has his health challenges but we work on them in a reasonable and caring way. He's been getting acupuncture from Dr. Barnett regularly over the past year and it really has done wonders for him. We don't know how long he's got left but I'm relieved that the time he has had has been quality time.

Thiessen and Barnett did an amazing job managing the condition and a number of complications that arose. All of the receptionists and staff were truly caring about our situation, and during the final days of our dog's life, Dr. Barnett and her colleagues were there for us on the phone and helped us enjoy our final days with our dog at home rather than repeatedly taking her in for appointments. My story with them: Back in the mid 2000's myself and my then wife had a young male cat who was getting all of these bloody legions all over his coat. First I took him to the big box pet stores vet, they couldn't figure it out. After a couple more vets these girls got it figured out. Flash forward ten years: I'm broke and my Kitty needs a vet checkup and someone to look at a lump on her neck. They recommended a surgery and when I took her in for it they found a few more problems. They worked really hard to make sure my cat got the best care she could and ended up charging me less than the estimate. These people really care about you and your animal. This past Sunday I got home from work after midnight and realized Punky' eye was swollen. Called the tender touch Monday morning and I had to day admit him because there were no availabilities for appointments. Long story short they discovered he had a severely infected abscess behind his eye. They prescribed antibiotics and probiotics. Tuesday came around punky wouldn't eat and the swelling above his eye got worse and it popped through the skin. Took Punky back to the vet where they attempted to drain some of the pus and infection which was effective however I took him home and he still wouldn't eat and wouldn't drink. I was hoping maybe the sedative was a bit too strong and he was just wiped out from that. Wednesday morning came and he still would not eat or drink. Later that day Dr. Barnett and myself made the tough decision that it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge. I would recommend tender touch to anyone and everyone! While they may be a bit pricey for some, you get what you pay for. They care about your pets almost as much as you do!

I love My Tender Touch ! My cats have been so happy here even when they don't feel good. I have been going to Tender Touch for many years. I have tried a few other places in cases of emergency or if my doctor was out of town and I always come back. There just is not a spot we have found that makes us any happier with the doctors knowledge, care and love. Dr. Barnett is my pets regular Doctor but I have see a few others in house as well. All Fabulous!!! I can't say enough great things about them. One of my cats was see at the VRCC for an emergency other night along with other follow up care and Dr Barnett personally called to check in on my sweet Topaz to see how she was feeling. Lets just say about 6 months later we lost our one of best furry friend. They we so sweet to call and also hang an Angel on the Christmas tree in her honor. They do some of the sweetest little things that just mean the world when your dealing with the tough times of your buddy not feeling well or passing on. After we lost one kitty our other cat has been very sad and depressed. Dr Barnett gave her "kitty acupuncture" to help with some athirst and sadness. I think it has worked wonderers. My first experience with Tender Touch was nothing short of amazing. I was out of town for two weeks without access to internet when my three dogs got violently ill with diarrhea, vomiting and lethargy. Kelley at Tender Touch was quick to answer the phone and my questions, set up an emergency visit the same day for the sickest of the dogs and was very accommodating to me knowing I was away. They were able to do all transactions over the phone and get my other two dogs in very quickly on my dogsitters schedule. Dr. Charlotte Thiessen called me to give me an update on my sickest dog and to ask for permission for ancillary treatment before providing it. They were very patient and kind to my dogs and my dogsitter, who was understandably exhausted and worried. Within hours, my dogs were all responding to the treatment and were happy kids when I finally got home. I trust Tender Touch tremendously.

We adopted a little terrier mix from the shelter and brought him here. He had kennel cough and stinky breath. Little did we know that he had a super rotted tooth only hanging by a thread! Well, the lady vet here was able to pull the tooth at no charge! What an angel! We appreciate it and that saved us a very expensive operation, thank you thank you! I honestly cannot say enough about this animal hospital. I love it here! Everyone that works here is kind, caring and compassionate, and the veterinarians are the best I have ever been to. When my dog was a tiny puppy I called frustrated because she would not sleep through the night (embarrassingly funny now...). The vet called me back and spent a good 20 minutes or so on the phone with me, discussing different strategies. That same puppy and her brother have been back several times for things other than their annual exams (ate an entire pork chop, developed bladder stones the size of peanut butter m&ms, ate something questionable at the park, limping, dental cleanings, etc...). The space is clean and very inviting. All procedures and the charges for them are explained in advance, and they will tell you if something can wait. They always call the day after we've been there to make sure everything is ok, even if they just had routine vaccinations. Drs. Steele and Graf are both amazing. I would and do recommend this animal hospital to anyone - this is the only place I'll take my furbabies to!

I just moved to Denver and took my dog to Tender Touch based on online reviews, and I am so happy that I did! I was happy with my visit from the moment I walked in the door; the entire facility is clean and modern, and the staff were all super friendly. Dr. Somerville was excellent, she did a great job making Thor feel comfortable and explaining everything to me clearly. She didn't seem at all in a hurry to get us out the door like some of our previous vets have. I thought it was really cool that I could pay for the visit without even leaving the exam room (read: no standing at the receptionist counter trying to write a check and hold the 80lb dog's leash at the same time), and that they called the next day to check on Thor. They also give each owner access to a 'pet portal' online, where you can see your pets records, make appointments, and search pet health issues. Very cool vet, I'm really happy with them!

I love this vet. I am open to seeing three vets they have there and have been visiting them for 8 years. They were extremely helpful during the passing of my 17 yo pup 3 years ago. And I never had a better experience feeling like they fought for her life and also cared for my well being as well as the cost of the care. My partner and I now take our 3 cats and two dogs there. Our dogs are so well cared for. That my partner and I laugh when they have to go with the staff alone in the back for blood work or procedures. Because typically they are timid and by our side. But nope they have total trust in them. THIS is what’s important. I read through some of the poor reviews of this place and was reminded how much customer service goes into a vet clinic and I just feel so bad for these vets. Our pets love this place and that’s all I could ask for. They are happy and healthy. These appointments aren’t about me. I try to provide as much detail and big picture aspects to the staff so that they can help understand my pets and exam correctly. Therefore it’s a perfect relationship. I would recommend tender touch to everyone I meet. Fantastic service!

I recently lost a pet and TTAH sent a lovely condolence letter. Highly recommend the hospital and the doctors. Very cat friendly hospital and very down to earth staff Update: another year has passed and I am still a happy TTAH client, and believe that they have handled the COVID outbreak very responsibly, with safety of pets, clients and staff as a primary concern Initial review: I have been a client of TTAH for almost ten years. Dr. Barr is really just a great person, a great veterinarian, and very down to earth and easy to talk to. The other doctors are wonderful as well, but I have really developed a relationship with Dr. Barr in particular. I trust her, the technicians, and the clinic as a whole with the health and wellness of my two dogs and will never go anywhere else unless I move out of the area. The staff are honest, kind, welcoming people and it truly shows how much they care about all their clients and their clients' pets. I have referred multiple people as clients over the years, and they have all been pleased with the clinic.
