I very highly recommend Critter Control of Greater Boston. These guys are the experts on taking care of any and all rodent or pest issues in your home. We found an issue in our attic with flying squirrels who had entered in our attic and decided to make residency rent free there. We called CCGB and the following day Howard showed up and within 30 minutes identified the specific type of animal in our attic, climbed up on the roof to see where they were coming in from, presented us with a game plan on how to forever rid our home of all rodents and pests, and gave us a very reasonable quote with a 2 year warranty of service. A day or so later Howard and his team showed up on time to plug up and seal every possible place any critter could enter and set down traps in the attic. He returned a few days later and boom all the creatures were caught. He even stopped by again a few days later to recheck more traps to ensure everything was gone which ended up being the case. Howard also cleaned up some dirty insulation. He went above and beyond to fix our issue. Wow!! What a great company CCGB is and a big thank you to Howard for taking care of business. From our first phone call to an inspection by Adam, we found Critter Control to be a professional, courteous organization. Adam showed up at the arranged time and performed a thorough inspection of our home. We had critters in over our bedroom ceiling last winter and Adam was able to discern that it was squirrels. He informed us that squirrels usually are seasonal and leave once warm weather comes. We now know what we are dealing with and can take the appropriate steps to fix the problem. For too long I have wanted to share my experience w CCGB. We had a visitor in our attic. CCGB came and resolved the issue. Then the roof leaked. CCGB returned and, when not seeing anything, recommended we call a roofer. We did, and they thought the roof was fine. It rained again, and Dan himself came immediately. He had his team fix the leak within an hour - though we're still not certain that it was caused by CCGB. My only complaint is that CCGB doesn't do plumbing, carpentry, electrical or painting. I'd never look anywhere again. Best, most responsive company I've ever worked with! And they couldn't be nicer. Thank you.

I called Critter Control to get rid of bats in our house. The person on the phone (I think her name is Christine) was very friendly and professional. She scheduled a technician to come out in a week or so. The technician found where the bats were located (attic) and explained the treatment and provided us a quote on site. He came back in a couple of weeks and sealed the entry ways so that the bats can only go out and not come back in. They also provide a two-year warranty which gives us a peace of mind. The price was very reasonable and there was no hidden/added fees. The service was great! I would definitely recommend Critter Control!

Adam was amazing in evicting the raccoon that had taken up residence in my ceiling. She took a bit to actually get her out. He was kind and reassuring in updating me on the steps of her removal, came everyday to check the traps and roof, and even let me know about other problems not raccoon induced, that he saw up there. I hope to never have to deal with another raccoon again, but if I have to, I will definitely be calling again.

We had bat activity; now we are bat-proofed. That's the whole story. Success! Oh, and they were also willing to help clean out some attic insulation where the bats had nested, even though that had nothing to do specifically with the bat-proofing. And when I got a bat-house to hang in the tree outside, they were happy to help with that. We wish to be friends with the bat kingdom! Just, you know, not in our attic.

We used Critter Control to deal with a family of squirrels who had chewed their way into the attic of our home from several spots behind rotten gutters. Jay, their wildlife specialist, quickly identified the issue and their repair technician Corey set up traps and placed sturdy wire mesh netting at various spots along our (very steep) roofline, all without causing any disruption or damage to our home or landscaping. 2 + months on, and we have our attic back! No rodents—and no toxic chemicals used either. Highly recommend!

We recently installed solar panels and very quickly had a squirrel problem - they love to nest under the panels and can chew on the wiring. The solar install folks pointed us in the direction of Critter Control and it has been a great experience. They responded quickly with a free onsite evaluation. Colby was very nice, professional, and clearly an expert He provided several options with zero pressure (no haggling over timing or specials if I decide on the spot), answered my questions, and told me to take my time. We event chatted about our infants (he is a few months ahead of us!). We invested in guards around the entire array and shored up two roof joint areas where squirrels and raccoons might get in. We plan to be here for 30yrs and so this was a no brainer. The installer was great and very confident that the repairs and equipment would last longer than the house and to call if we have any problems for them to take care of it. Dave conducted a through squirrel assessment of my house and then provided a comprehensive plan to get rid of the squirrels and prevent future problems at the cost of $3,200. The house is over 4,736 sqft. and every corner on the house needed to be reinforced. Dave trapped the squirrels caught (3) three stayed in communication informing of the next steps. Dave informed me Howard and Adam would come seal the points of entry, reinforce outside gable corners / ends, install flashing over wooden or missing fascia and install fan vent guards/no pest vents and two year warranty. I am very please with the Critter Staff they did awesome fantastic job. I can't say enough about how pleased I was working with this company. I would differently used them again. I'm not suggesting anyone else do this, but they came out and made an estimate for us three times; on the first two, we just weren't sure how to proceed...it turned out there were more problems under the deck than just animals. Once we dealt with all that, Critter Control made the third estimate and sent great workers to install the fencing and eviction door. The structure of our fireplace made it difficult to get at the squirrel but Adam did a great job of evicting the creature. The cap on our chimney was lacking the mesh needed to keep animals out and Howard from Critter Control installed a new cap to remedy this. We recently bought our first house and the excitement of the new place was suddenly cut short when we realized that a group of squirrel had set camp in our roof. Not only we could hear them scratching and chewing, but they started to mess up with our insulation and wiring. Fortunately Adam from Critter Control was there to save the day. He came in to assess the situation and devised a plan right away. He was very patient to answer all sort of questions we had about the process, the billing, and the timeline. He sprung into action right away and caught 5 squirrels on our roof. He did that over a period of a few weeks during which he would come often to assess the situation with the traps and keep us in the loop as needed. He even showed up on a Sunday afternoon when a small emergency developed. At some point he even helped us get some video footage of the inside of our roof (there is no accessible attic & it's very hard to peek inside) to make sure that there was no squirrel left behind. All in all, Adam was over the top both professionally and in terms of the human connection he established with us throughout the process. Thanks to him we are officially squirrel-free and we won't hesitate to contact Critter Control again shall a similar situation develop in the future!

I like squirrels, but not in my house. Critter Control of Boston saw to it that my feelings about squirrels remain in check. They service the Newton area where I live, arriving on time, and was very professional. They came by my house on a Friday. I informed them that I heard noises in my attic and behind a bedroom wall, and that on several occasions I saw a squirrel on the roof. I asked that they squirrel proof my house, at which point they walked me around the house pointing out possible entry points where squirrels could enter. They came back on Monday and sealed all possible squirrel entry points with aesthetically pleasing material. They also put traps on the roof. One squirrel was caught, which was later released away from the house. I still like squirrels, and they’re no longer in my house, thanks to Critter Control of Boston. I highly recommend them. One other thing, they provide a 2-year warranty. You can’t beat it.

He also installed preventative measures so I don't need to worry about them coming back. However they also provide a warranty in case they do. The communication throughout the process was great. That same day, Dave set several traps and within the first week he caught three possums. In the second week he caught two skunks and removed them permanently off my property. The agent that came here was Dave from Critic Control. Critic control was called to help remedy. There was a raccoon stuck in the crawl space. Dave had set up traps on my roof for 5 days, and then took the traps and clean up. Dave fixed my air ducts on both ends of my house and everything was very clean afterwards. They were very professional. They showed up right away to trap squirrels then sealed up all the openings to the crawl space just under the roof on my 3 decker. Work included installing aluminum cladding over deteriorating wood fascia board along the roof line. Very pleased with how it came out. No money paid until they were done.

Once we agreed to move forward he was honest about scheduling but then called me when they had a random opening and got the work done sooner for the quoted price. The issue was a huge jagged hole gnawed by squirrels over how long, I dunno? It’s 40 ft off the ground. No way my husband or I could fix this . What to do with the squirrels? I called critter control n in a week the job was assessed n plans were made to trap n remove the squirrels. Michael was/ is the quintessential professional. He’s kind, funny n excellent at trapping squirrels. I can’t recommend this company more. Had called multiple places but never received a call back. Found Critter Control and left message and the office manager got back to me in less than an hour. Mike came out to the house and gave me a better estimate than what was given. We had 3 areas ( 2 houses- my Dad's and my own)where birds were getting into and he removed all the nesting and put up barriers in about an hour! He was extremely nice and professional. He explained everything.I can't believe it took me so long to find this company! I would highly recommend him! It's not cheap but well worth the money to keep birds from damaging our houses.

We used Critter Control too and would recommend. Last spring we were hearing noises from the attic and guessed it might be squirrels or birds. They came for an estimate and backup plan in case the preliminary measures were not effective. They secured all loose spots in the roof and installed one way trapdoors to allow the critters out but prevent them from coming back in. A few weeks later they removed the trap doors and patched the holes. Sure enough we never heard from them again and we didn't have to resort to the backup plan. They were professional and other than the first estimate they came by themselves and did the work without us at the house. Very happy with the interactions and the outcome.

They got them all out and removed them from the property, while keeping the hostile 50 pound male at bay. This summer, we have a groundhog problem. They do not overpromise, and are very professional. Of course I wanted these things out of my walls, but wow. So I was going to use them, but also called for a second quote, from Critter Control. For less than half the other company, they would do the job. I cancelled the other company and hired CC. The woman on the phone patiently answered questions I had, which is always a good sign for a company, and they really earned their keep. Two weeks, SIX raccoons, and a patch job later, we're sealed up and hopefully won't have this issue again. They were friendly and helpful and pretty reasonably priced, considering how many times they had to check the traps in those 2 weeks. Highly recommended.

I called this company last week and they were easy to schedule with. The field manager came out and did a thorough inspection of our roof, all around the exterior of the house, as well as indoors, including the attic. I'd heard a noise above our porch last week, and it sounded like it could be squirrels or chipmunks in under the porch roof. Having heard horror stories about pest problems gone beyond the early stages, I wanted to get ahead of it. Could not have been happier. They set traps where they think there may be an entry point, then monitor them, and continue t trap till there's no catch, then they seal up the entry point. Very professional and friendly, and they seem to totally know their business.

They will also figure out what else is wrong and give you a price for that- also not a hard sell (so when you get sticker shock on the whole house repair you can just think not rush). Critter Control came out on Monday because we had had a bat in the house the previous Thursday, (we were able to get him outside). Ben was friendly and knowledgeable and told us that we had more than one bat living in the dormers. We're signed up to have them do a complete bat expulsion, but Ben told us that in the meantime, if we saw another one at any hour, to call and they'd come out to capture it and test it for rabies. Wouldn't you know, Tuesday night, another got through the a./c vent around 12:30 am. We called, and in about 25 minutes, another nice guy was at our door. Within ten minutes he'd captured it and taken it away, and we were informed that it tested negative for rabies the next afternoon. The main job isn't finished yet but given the excellent service we've received so far, I'm very optimistic.
