I can’t stop recommending Snake River vet to people. I don’t normally leave reviews but these guys deserve all the stars!! Seriously they are fantastic. They’re up front about everything an help you find help in your budget for stuff they can’t do at their clinic. And my boys LOVE coming to see them probably because the staff ALWAYS remembers them an us. If I’ve got an appointment for one dog and not the other they’ll even check in with me to see how the others doing. My older dog use to hate vet visit he’d get anxious and start licking everything and panting. But when we he starts to see we’re close his tail starts thumping and he gets SO excited. Who better to trust then my for legged old man for his choice in care. My mom brings her dog who is a bit sensitive to people and the staff is always so happy to see her an so sweet and she LOVES them! My sister switched to Snake River for her cats as well and was so happy to make the switch for a vet she feels genuinely cares for their clients and the pets! And now our grandparents puppy is even making the trip from Caldwell for his care because they’re just that good! We always feel cared for and leave feeling like we’re getting the best care for our babies. It’s nonstop recommendations from our family to pet owners because they really are the best we’ve found in the area.

So appreciative for all the Snake River Vet staff and the care they provide! Our pets are family and I want to get them the best. We have taken two dogs and a cat for several years to Snake River. I love getting reminders for when my dog needs vaccine updates. We are able to get prescription cat food on auto ship so I don't have to worry about running out. When we have had concerns, I can call for guidance from staff. Thank you for the helpful and compassionate care over the years!

I’ve tried a lot of the vet clinics in the area and Snake River is the best by FAR. The facility is always clean and tidy. The staff are so professional and compassionate. They also accept care credit and pet insurance which can literally be a life saver! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ewing and Dr. Matsuura specifically, they are the best of the best. I wouldn’t have the same peace of mind if I took my pets anywhere else ❤️

My all time favorite veterinary business I've ever been to. They are so kind to my dogs, my dogs love going for visits! They can answer any questions I have regarding allergies, diet, medication, arthritis, you name it, they always have an answer that I can understand. Love this place and highly recommend them.

We love Snake River Veterinary Center! Whether it is helping us get a super tiny newborn lamb perked up, taking care of our cow with retained placenta, or giving our Yorkie and Border Collies their annual checkups and shots, they give all of our animals so much love and great care (and remember them all). We’ve been coming to Snake River for almost 7 years and have always been impressed with their knowledge and level of care provided.

Absolutely awesome. I had to do a drop off for my mini schnauzer she had chest grass in her feet. Vet took care of her right away and when they brought her out to me she was happy and wigged all over me. I'm very happy with this vet and will definitely continue using her. They really care about the animals they care for.

I took my 8mo old foster dog. She didn't really need a pre-op before she got fixed. I took her because I was asked to. In my opinion, it was a waste of $55. However, the staff were very nice, professional, and treated her with care. The fixed fee is going to be extremely expensive to what my vet charges. Needless to say, it's not affordable what so ever. There's a lot of need for dogs being fixed. Help the very known problem instead of making it harder on responsible owners.

I was visiting from out of town and my pet had an issue. They were able to get me in the following day and it was crazy busy but they did their job amazingly. I was impressed with the way they worked as a team and they were friendly and answered all my questions thoroughly.

I’ve used this vet multiple times. The staff always answers the phone and is friendly. The Dr appears nice also. Last encounter my dog had surgery and I missed the call, called back but never received a phone call or talked to about after care instructions, to address my concerns, or tell me when I can get my dog. I called and they told me he was doing good,!but nothing further. I had to reach out to find out I could pick him u . Their pricing seems fair enough when calling but they get you when you show up by working on your fears and love of your pet. I.E. the price for surgery was $160, but on the paperwork you sign when dropping them off they have another $108 option to do bloodwork to make sure it’s safe for your dog to have surgery. Along with another $60 option for IV care. Resuscitation options etc. depending on how much one cares about success of procedure, you could easily double the cost, if not more. When asking the tech about these things the really didn’t have much info to help educate on a better decision. I was told I simply had to pick an option. I understand value, and am willing to pay for it. But like most people I’d like to save where I can, and if these extra fees were not absolutely necessary for the success of visit I’d rather not pay them. The tactic is understandable, but questionable also. I work in sales and people tend to make decisions on feelings not logic, and the setup here absolutely takes advantage of that. If you are one that uses logic to decide, well you don’t get that liberty bc not enough info can be ascertained to achieve this.

Took my Dog Char-Ming to get a check up as she wasn't feeling well. The veterinary clinic did a blood test and an ultrasound on her and found she had a very serious infection and needed an operation ( with out it she would have died). They were very friendly and helpful and said we could sign up for a card that would pay the entire bill and we didn't have to pay anything at the time. I was so happy they could take care of her I signed up for the card and she is kind of sluggish due to drugs but she is now home safe and she's on her way to being her little self.. I definitely recommend you take your pet there. They go above and beyond to take care of your pet.

I can’t begin to tell you how amazing these guys are from the staff in front all the way to the vets! They care so deeply about the animals! I was having a hard time with my dog emotionally and the vet sat with me and just listened to me, which I can’t thank her enough! They have gone great thanks to try and help my animals and I wouldn’t trust anyone else! The building itself is so cute with a wrap around porch! The have grass in front as well for your animals! I would say there prices are more than fair as well. It’s also convenient to get to because it’s right on the road. They let us come directly in when our old girl went down and we had to allow her to go. They gave her pain meds so that while she was waiting for the vet, she could be comfortable. In the end it was her time and they were wonderful with her and for us. The amount to let her go and have her cremated was barely $100. Good deal! Great and caring staff!

My horse got goofy in the trailer and split his face open out of town. Once in town I called them and they immediately let me bring him in. They scrubbed it and stitched him up. They kept me calm as well. The vet that took care of him was the best vet I have had the privilege of meeting . He answered my questions without making me feel bad for asking. The office staff stayed late for me, so I could get to the bank. These are the nicest group of people. I would trust them with all of my animals needs. The bill was below what I expected especially for emergency care.

Simply put. we LOVE Snake River Vet, and all the caring folks that work there. My dog Zoey got into a tussle with a badger early one Saturday morning in July. I took her straight there. Dr. Matsuura and the staff spent over 3 hours in surgery with her. It was touch and go. Zoey was kept for a couple days in "intensive care " under close watch until we were able to take her home. After taking her home, we were in constant contact with Dr. Matsuura, Dr. Ewing, and everyone at the clinic. They were always kind, caring and attentive to her needs. They also showed great patience with our concerns and questions along her healing journey. She is all better, now. A few scars and some nerve pain that is controlled with medication. Snake River Vet has been, and will continue to be the first choice for our family's veterinary care.

Since I've adopted my fur baby at age 8 weeks I have entrusted her care with the staff at Snake River Vet Center. I would not trust her health care with anyone else. When she was spayed, they took great care of her and kept me updated. I even take her there to trim her nails. I am blown away at the kindness from everyone at SRCV! We have been in a couple times for little checks here and there but last week we had to put our loving dog to sleep and it was extremely difficult, the whole staff was very sweet and one of the gals gave me the most loving hug right when I needed it the most. And we just had to take our puppy in and Dr Matsuura went above and beyond helping our sweet pup. The staff gave us a card with our late dogs paw print and it means so much that they thought of us in our hard time. I could not recommend this office more. Everyone is so helpful and just great to work with! Thank you so much!

Thank you for saving my dog! They got us right in even though we are from out of town. Dr. Varialle was very helpful and patient with our out who needed to “pass the buck”. They were open and available even on a holiday. We appreciate it! They are a bit pricy compared to our vet at home which is why they only get 4 stars, otherwise I am satisfied with the care we received

I called trying to get some information on a sick Jersey calve I'm trying to save from a respiratory issue. I was able to speak with Dr Alicia about my situation and if she thought there was anything I could do to help this calve. She was super nice and caring and I was not expecting to be able to speak to a vet over the phone about what was going on. I spent 6 years in a small animal practice and getting a doctor on the phone to a none client was pretty impossible. Y'all won my business for this whenever vet care is needed. Thanks for taking the time to offer some free advice to help me save a calve.

I called them in a crisis my dog was actively dying worsening after seeing another vet on Sunday when we explained our crisis we had a 1030 appt, but by 0900 it was clear she wouldn’t last long, I explained how I only wanted her to have dignity and peace, they allowed us to come early she struggled and took her last breath once we got there but she did receive assist in the final seconds. The receptionist was so compassionate and kind, the vet recognized my beloved companion was close and acted to get medication and the vet tech apologized with heart felt kindness. I’m devestated I’ve lost my best friend but thankful for the kindness we received.

I brought my popping in on Wednesday morning. They said there was no doubt it was Parvo. The diagnosis was either hospital care or a take-home care kit. I elected for the take-home kit they were very nice and helped us completely. Explained everything I needed to know to do it myself. Within two days my puppy was completely cured. Because they are the vet of choice by many, it only makes sense they may have to at times turn people away which is logical and shows good judgment. I had to go somewhere else once and was sad but can't understand how someone could blame a vets office because they were absolutely too busy to see their animal.
