Reviews of Falls Road Animal Hospital

Last minute ER visit. Don't hesitate! They took really good care of my baby. You are in good hands. Other then the wait time everything went pretty good. You have to wait in car at parking lot. Bring a snack. Bunbun had a bad nail break. They clipped it put her on pain meds and antibiotics! Healing time sucks but she back to normal. Nail Slowly trying to grow back. 😊

I frantically arrived at Falls Road at 1 am on a Saturday with a sick pup after she started showing severe GI distress. I was a worried mama with lots of questions. They immediately took my Luna in and started trying to figure out what was wrong with her. They called me to provide updates as I waited in the parking lot. Luna ended up being admitted for 2 nights but I felt like she received top notch care from Drs. Jones and Hayward. When I picked her up they provided me with very specific directions and answered the thousands of questions that I had. Although it was expensive it was much less than expected for 48 hours of care, lots of tests, and several weeks of medications. If I ever have an emergency again I will definitely be returning to Falls Road.

Great service! They came out with the gurney for my dog got him in right away when he ingested something he shouldn't have, and I was in a very comfortable room. They gave me updates. The only downside was the cost. 700 bucks later. 300 of which was just for one week's worth of medicine!

I had a very positive experience with Falls Road Animal Hospital. They worked my sick kitty in right away, and called me with updates every hour. This is an emergency clinic, so it is pricey. It was not a regular vet appointment. However, we received very good care. The vets, front desk staff, and techs were very helpful, knowledgeable and considerate. Nothing sucks worse than an emergency with your pet, but this place did a great job.

We had to bring our pup Hondo to Falls Rd Animal Hospital because he had to have emergency surgery at another hospital close to our home and we needed after hour care and everyone was always very nice each time I called, and I called alot!! The doctors were also great keeping us updated. They took great care of our pup!! Thank you so much💙🐾

This is one of the best- if not THE best- animal hospitals I've been to. Even while they're suffering from a staffing shortage, they're still offering wait list check-ins where they call you once your appt is coming up in a couple of hours. We came in an Uber and since we had nowhere to go after they took our cat Rascal back, they let us sit in an empty office becausethe lobby was closed. They were extremely professional. We were there for an emergency visit for our cat, Rascal. They kept us informed about every little thing that was going on, which pleased me. They kept us up-to-date on when they were going to charge something and how much it would cost us to seek our approval. They gave us a choice too. They strongly recommended we keep him overnight so they could administer treatment. The staff was super nice and amazing. Even though our dear Rascal didn't make it through the night before being put to sleep, they gave us a long talk about why they were recommending that. He had cancer or heart failure and would not be okay. These guys are on the top of their game. They kept Rascal in an incubator to try to bring his temperature back up and let us say goodbye and pet him through a little hole before we left. I knew he was going to die but I felt good knowing he was receiving the best care possible. We even got a call on his status just 3 hours after we left, which was at 5am. I really wanted to know the outcome of the tests and they kept us informed overnight. I highly recommend Falls Road Animal Hospital to anyone who has an urgent medical issue with their pet. There's just no better. They are at the top of their game. I miss my 8 year old baby and I'm sorry we didn't have more time with him, but they had him taken away fast to be cremated so his remains could be brought back to us. Keep up the good work, guys.

As an 24/7 ER vet first and foremost, I understand that emergencies must be prioritized. In the past 2 years, 2 of my senior pets were in & out for emergency care @ Falls Road, extending their lives until it became unrealistic to keep going. My only complaint is that it takes a lot for them to admit an animal, even if it’s dying. We waited about 40 minutes with my cat in the parking lot until he gasped his last breath and then they rushed him inside. Unsure what to make of that experience.

My experience with Falls Road Hospital has been a Great experience under stressful circumstances. My puppy had broken her leg and the Doctor and Dorothy had been very supportive and caring of Jackie. I really appreciate all the help I received during that time. Because of the care of my emergency care I decided to make this hospital Jackie primary hospital. The front office has been great as well. Thank you so much Falls Road Hospital for all your support and care.

Caring and thorough staff - called multiple times during the appointment to update me on status and explain pricing for tests and treatment. Expected to spend *way more* than I did (thousands, not hundreds), and was warned that the initial treatment plan may not be enough. Luckily, the injection they gave and the medications I took home worked perfectly. Saved my blocked cat’s life, and he’s been doing well ever since!

Our dog received wonderful care here. At 11pm on a Monday when our dog was projectile vomiting and no emergency dog hospital had room to admit her, Falls Foad was able to make an 11pm appointment for us and admitted her. It wasn't cheap but it wouldn't have been cheap anywhere. I'll definitely call them again before waiting 4 or 5 hours at a Pet ER.

My rabbit had an emergency, and Falls Road saved her. The bill was over $1000. This was during curbside, so I asked if this was the total. I made sure I asked because the invoice didn't say "final" anywhere. The receptionist said yes. I paid and happily took my rabbit, recommending Falls Road to everyone. TWO YEARS LATER I receive an overdue balance letter of $12 because the bill I paid was not the final bill. Meanwhile, my rabbit has already passed (at 9 years old from old age). I am just shocked that someone took the time to snail-mail me a deliquent payment letter 2 years after the fact for $12 for a $1000+ bill. I have to give them 3 stars because they did save my girl's life when she had GI stasis.

The best veterinarians office ever! They saved my fur baby after she was misdiagnosed from another clinic. And my grand puppy was rushed there recently in critical condition. She is now home happy and healthy. Thank you Falls Road Animal Hospital

I like the virtual line. The wait was 14 hour. Starting at 9 am. 845 pm they called to ask me to arrive by 1030 pm. There is no signage for next steps once you arrive, call them. They are not taking walk ins currently.
As a whole, I strongly dislike how pet insurance and payments are managed. The system should be equivalent to people insurance. It's a lot of money out of pocket.
The exam is 140$ and add $$$$$ for treatment. Smh.
Overall, when service was provided, it did not take long for the doctor to call. Wanted to give 3⭐️'s because of payment methods (which needs to change).

I read enough negative reviews about Falls Road Animal Hospital that I’d expected the worst, and was absolutely pleasantly surprised! I needed my dog to be seen on a Sunday, and was so glad they were open. Called and was put on the waitlist, they called me back about 30mins later to inform me of the expected appointment time. I showed up at the time they quoted. The front staff were all very friendly and quickly took my info to check us in. Took my boy back within 5 minutes. I received a call from the doctor about 15 mins later informing me of her findings and what actions she was taking. They brought my boy back out, got me his prescriptions, rang me up(completely affordable), and we were done.
I definitely would recommend Falls Road Animal Hospital to anyone needing medical attention for their furry loved one! I am so thankful for their help when it was needed most.

My daughter took her bearded dragon here for a check up. They were polite and kind, clear in their treatment plan and the costs associated. I would definitely recommend these good folks!

When I went to Falls Road animal Hospital, it was very clean orderly. It didn’t take much time to be saying the staff was very nice. The doctor explained everything where I could understand it and I will continue to bring my cat midnight there. Thank you.

I had my rabbit neutered here recently. The love and care that they gave my furgrand was awesome! Then the support I received for his aftercare put me at ease. Due to my furgrand not taking meds for me, they allowed me to keep him there to ensure all needed medications were administered correctly. He is back home and doing well.
Thank all of you for being so amazing at what you do🤗

FRAH's professional, friendly, and caring staff has been wonderful with all of our pets and family. Large and small, exotic and non-exotic. Without a doubt I would continue to make the 45-60 min drive, knowing that our family pet(s) are getting the absolute best care possible. THANK YOU!

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Wait was a bit long, but that's to be expected in this new normal. Very pricey, but has financial assistance which I thought was very convenient and was right on time. My fur baby was really sick, but t days after treatment he was back to himself.

With the exception of requiring useless face diapers to be worn, the care and follow up to my recent panicked emergency visit at 12:30AM for my cat was handled very well. Even if the end result had not been positive, Falls Rd handled everything from my initial distressed telephone call to my arrival and taking the pet carrier instantly to ICU, to allowing me to wait in an exam room, to explaining events in simple terms to the happy reunion after my cat spent the night under the vet's care and observation indicate both professionalism and compassion by the whole team on duty that night and the team into the following afternoon.

First and foremost, the curbside service doing this pandemic was perfect. The tech and vet were excellent with the handling of my dog. I was always worried about an astronomical bill from Falls Road for what I had heard from other pet owners but the service I received was well worth it and the bill was MUCH lower than I expected. I was even given an X-Ray estimate before the service was provide. Kudos to Falls Road Animal Hospital!

when my cat needed the service of a veterinarian Falls Road was the right place to bring him for treatment. His problem was treated, and the visit returned him me in good health. I found the staff and vets very friendly and knowledgeable. I love the way they interact with the animals. If I could have given 10 stars as a rating, I would have given them a10!

Falls Road takes beyond extraordinary care of my beloved Puccini cat. So comforting to know that in an emergency I can drive there 24 x 7 x 365 and find a full service hospital with big team spirit. Very appreciated !

They are very knowledgeable and nice here. I had issues with other places before coming here and my dog needed treatment to recover from the issues he got from the other places. They took care of him very well and updated me often. They also take their time talking everything over and going over your concerns. They are never in a rush. I can trust their opinions and advice. I have dealt with Dr. Yi, Dr. McKnight, Dr. Jones, and Dr. Fallon. All of them have been great. Its been an expensive experience but when you look at everything that has been done and look at the cost of each thing individually its pretty close to the average price anywhere else but you get knowledge along with great treatment here. I have been very satisfied. Hopefully we will have everything taken care of soon.

My lab cut his paw pad in the early evening after his regular vet had closed for the day. After a few hours of unsuccessful attempts to stop the bleeding on my own I called several other emergency vets local to me to try and get him seen. Falls Road was the only place who took his active bleeding seriously and had me bring him in right away. Dr. Hayward was very informative and kind to answer all of my questions. She stitched up my guy, and I was able to bring him home with clear instructions on how to keep him comfortable and the area clean. Wait time for the procedure was normal, especially when this is an emergency after hours hospital where people are bringing their critical pets in for care. Thank you Dr. Hayward and staff for taking care of my boy!

They saved my cat's life, so for that, I am extremely grateful!
She had eaten a bunch of foam floor mat, and couldn't eat, vomit, or make bowel movements for several days... So naturally, we needed to make an emergency visit to the pet er.
They xrayed her, and determined she needed immediate surgery to remove the obstruction. So we proceeded, and everything went fine. She was back to her normal self within a week.
However, the process was not as smooth and convenient as I feel it should have been. I realize things are tricky because of covid, and they seemed very busy, but still... After calling and checking in, we waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to come out (after our scheduled time.)
We had to bring her back and forth a couple times to follow up, and each time the staff wasn't clear whether we should wait in the car, or if she would be staying several hours and should go home... So we had to call back, and wait in hold, then wait for the receptionist to call us back. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying.
The worst part was they told us they sent her home in a cone so she couldn't mess with her stiches, but they forgot and we had to come back for it. They also said she would be able to eat with it on, but that was not the case due to her lack of strength for not eating for over a week. Maybe that isn't their fault, but it made an already annoying process worse.
Finally, it was very expensive. I guess that's how pet surgery goes, but seemed very steep for a simple surgery and one night stay.
Anyway, grateful they saved my cats life. So thanks!
Samuel Miller
The wait was extremely long since my dog was not in urgent immediate distress. We had to wait over 2 hours before first being seen and then another hour before leaving. Total time they're was a little over 3hrs. The doctor was helpful and knowledgeable. The visit was expensive, over 300$ for blood work, about 200$ for meds, and about 200$ to be seen, so yes a 700$ 3hr visit. But, ultimately it was good, professional care in the middle of the night, just a notable wait and rather expensive.

Had to take my tort in for an emergency visit. There was a slight wait list, and the receptionist said that it could take until the next day to get him seen, but they called me back a little more than an hour later and were able to see him. The vet and vet techs were all very nice and took care of my boy and taught me how to give him his meds so I could take him home same day. They even had suggestions for good products to help prevent a repeat of the issue.

I had a Great Dane who developed bloat. The level of compassion and caring I received was breathtaking. The staff without hesitation went that extra mile to make sure I was okay because I was extremely upset. My next animal is a Anatolian Shepherd named Jugga. He weighs over 150 lb. He is a livestock guardian. He's extremely protective and aggressive. He had to be sedated to have his claws clipped. Due to his aggressiveness the facility called in a extra staff member just to help control him for his procedure. They stayed in constant contact with me throughout the process. I could not ask for a more dedicated, caring with a high level of professionalism staff to care for my beloved pet. Thank you falls road for everything.

It is difficult to rate a vet when the only interaction was an emergency. They did address the emergency quickly, and when our dog was having a seizure. Unfortunately they could not save him and we had to have him put down. We did have him cremated through the vet and the provided a very nice package, including a plaster imprint of our dog's paw.
KZ H
Unfortunate but better safe than sorry emergency visit. The pleasant receptionist expressed concern, as did the Veterinarian and staffers.
No mini vacation ahead...but my granddogger is well and my daughter is relieved and can breathe.

it was pretty good and I came here because of my rabbit wasn't feeling to well but she unfortunately didn't make it but the staff was sweet and friendly and understanding about everything which was great!
Benjamin Zampino
Was here a few weeks ago the place was very clean and the staff was amazing. However we did have to wait a very long time. I'm not sure if it was a busy day or low staffed but overall it was a great place.
Angela Burrus-Henry
They did a good job assisting my granddaughters bearded dragon. We were given information we didn't know before. The vet took her time and was patient and thorough helping us. Be prepared though, the wait is long. We were given a 10 hour appointment window. This was the third vet we tried....overwhelming

I had a Guinea pig two years ago and when I typed in animal hospitals near me this place popped up and I took a chance and it was an absolute great experience. They took care of my Fatman and was very professional and super nice. So great that 3 years later I take my cat for his first vet visit and they loved my little SnoBall. All in all I love this place and will continue to use this facility and recommend to others. :)

This hospital was amazing whole vet staff. I brought Maeve in with some severe dehydration/ GI issues, and a limp and they were so beyond helpful. I want to thank they whole vet tech ICU staff for being so kind with my calls asking for updates Maeve is my first dog so I worry a lot. I want to thank Dr. Hayward, Dr. Yi and Dr. Jones plus I know she had a few more I am missing I want to thank them too. I was new to Baltimore when I got the recommendation for this hospital from a new friend in the area and it was the best recommendation. Overall thank you Falls road staff for helping Maeve and we will see you at the next vet check up.
Cameron “RockStar” Springfield
Extremely sympathetic and helpful staff. They do everything they can 2 ensure the best care 4 ur pet.

We had to take our cat to the ER. She had something blocking food passing and the short version is that FRAH saved her life. The entire staff, and I mean everyone, were extremely kind and considerate.
What we noticed is that they are slammed. If they had double the staff, they would still be understaffed. There is a constant influx of pets in critical condition.
FRAH is not our normal Vet, but it's nice to know there is a place with extremely capable and kind staff that is open 24 hours, should something happen to our pets when our usual vet is closed.
Jessica Trujillo
We took our 12 year old dog here after he had been throwing up all day, even water. We managed to get an appointment after hours (our vet couldn't see us for 2+ weeks!!) around 10:30pm. I was just thankful we could get him infront of a vet. We recieved constant communication from the vet and we were told we needed to keep him there got a few nights since he was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. The next day we were informed that our sweet boy was actually diabetic and was in a diabetic emergency (which was also causing the pancreatitis). We were provided with options to medicate, but his changes of pulling through were extremely low so we are the difficult decision to put him down. The vet and additional staff were so empathic, informing and patient with us. We were able to spend as much time with him prior to in a seperate room. I am very thankful for the vetanarians and supportive staff that worked with our dog and my family. They were nothing but kind to us and our dog. I could tell they truly cared about us and the fur babies they take care of all hours of the day.
Pamela Jeter
I can't say enough about the hospital, Dr. Zier and the staff. Everyone was so nice and I felt that Captain Lil Cat was in good hands. After extensive testing, he was sent home feeling much better. The cost was very reasonable. Thank you so much, Falls Road Animal Hospital!
Kelly Wallace
I've been taking my pets here for decades. I've tried other vets lately since I moved out of the area but Falls Road has been the best so I came back. The staff is friendly, helpful, and empathetic. The vets always listen and help you to choose the best plan for your furry loved one. Even though they're an emergency vet and take walk-ins, in my personal experience, they don't charge much more (and sometimes not as much!) As a regular make-your-appointment-weeks-in-advance vet. I can't recommend them enough.
Greg Kogut
We had an emergency situation where my dog swallowed something he shouldn't have. Our normal vet was closed since it was ~10pm, but they saw us and got the object out my dog without surgery. Very grateful for the vets here

Overall this is a reliable and trustworthy place to take a pet, especially in an emergency.
It is hard to find a place to bring a rabbit in the Baltimore area for a late night emergency. FR took in my Ozzy late Sunday night - even though there was not an exotic vet in the facility at the time, they stabilized him and helped manage his pain. They scheduled his surgery for Tuesday, and so far have been very up front about the cost and what to expect. Someone I spoke to Sunday said no news is generally good news, which would later be reassuring.
On Tuesday, his surgeon Dr. Herko, kept me up to date on how Ozzy was doing. I felt he cared very much for Oz, and fought hard to keep him alive. It is very hard to lose a beloved pet, but I feel that FR made sure he was not alone when he passed and that they did everything they could. They were patient with me when I was sobbing on the phone too, and didn't make me feel pressured to make difficult decisions right away.
I would dock a half star for my trouble getting in touch with anyone before Ozzy's surgery. I was very anxious and called multiple times before getting through, just to get an update as I thought his surgery was earlier in the day. I spent a lot of time freaking out because I couldn't get information about his surgery, but I also understand how busy emergency vets are - it would just be helpful that one could reliably get a hold of someone to talk to for brief updates.

My dog ingested a hand warmer (iron is extremely toxic to dogs!) and they took amazing care of him. We didn’t wait long to get him in and though the trip itself took a while, they did everything in their power to help him and make him better. They kept me updated the entire visit (owners have to wait in their cars) and were extremely kind and helped explain everything that they did. They worked with my case number that I had with Poison Control before I arrived which helped them understand the timing on everything and truly nail what they needed to do at that point in time. My dog who is extremely fearful and could get aggressive if he feels insecure, came out wagging his tail and licking the gentleman who brought him out to me. Needless to say, if we ever have another emergency I will 100% be taking him back there. Do call ahead before you go to make sure they aren’t at capacity (as you would for any Pet ER). My dog is already feeling SO much better and is acting back like his normal self!!
Rebecca Swarthout
I really wanted to give 5 stars - the receptionist and tech were friendly, efficent and knowledgeable. Dr. Frey had a great treatment plan and ultimately her treatment was successful and my rabbit was doing "binkies" by Sunday morning. It was semi-expensive, but running a vet clinic and keeping good vets on staff isn't cheap. No other vet clinics in a 30 mile radius staffed a confident exotic animal vet or had availability on a Friday evening besides Falls Rd. The reason for 4 stars is due to the discharge of my pet and the condition of the facility itself. The discharge tech read a full page of discharge instructions verbatim from the page and she didn't sound coherent. It took at least 20 minutes for her to read that and run my credit card. She also couldn't articulate the dosage for the meds. This clinic needs to invest in a major facility renovation. Vet clinics can get grimy and cruddy.. and this one is. I hope they can invest in their facility and continue to keep great vets on staff to support the community with exotic animal emergencies.

Mariah was great ..I mean she was literally running to assist people and their furbabies. She was knowledgeable and had a soothing tone.
I still don't know what's wrong with my pup as the fees are a bit much, so limited service was provided. He's stable at home relaxing. He was given IVs and pain meds.
Overall my experience was nice.
W. Lee
Most other Vets did not have the patience to explain my dog's condition to me but Dr. Jones was very knowledgable and helped me understand my dog's situation very well. I called some friends and recommended this place to them. Thank you Dr. Jones.
Bryan Allen
I have used them to board my dog on two separate occasions and both time my dog came back sick. It may not be anything they are doing just not sure. There prices seem a bit high also.

We almost lost our Sun Conure, who is 12 years old, when our Schnauzer/Bichon pulled her right wing from her tiny little body. After calling 5 Vets from Chadwell, Fallston Vet and Belair emergency Vet I called Falls Road Emergency and being so upset trying to keep my Conure from bleeding out and being cut off I called back hysterically crying and they told me if we could get her there within 45 minutes the doctor would be able to see her. From White Marsh to Falls Road at rush hour I was holding her tight to keep her from bleeding out as I drove and arrived at Falls Road Animal Hospital by 3:30 and Dr. Herke reported after his exam that he would be able to stitch her back together as the tear was so clean. My baby Sunny survived and is home on medication until her 7 day follow up and stitches removed in 14 days. First time there and ever so grateful for their keeping my Sunny Alive 😘🙏❤️

I spoke to someone on the phone about a tick I couldn't get off of my dog. I was asked how far away I was from the vet and was told to come in right away since I lived close. When I arrived at the the vet I was then told there was a 4 hour wait. The person on the phone simply said "well whoever spoke to you should have told you that." However, they were able to get my dog in pretty quickly after this and the doctor was very pleasant. I just wish whomever I spoke to on the phone was a little more helpful/understanding when I arrived. This is the 2nd time I've been here. Overall I'm satisfied with my service, minus the issue I just mentioned. I would come here again if needed.
Randall Carlson
Despite having to rush our dog to the emergency room, we had to wait in the parking lot due to Covid restrictions. The vet and staff were very good. They were upfront and honest. Very compassionate. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone with an animal emergency. I thank them for all they did for us!

I own a rabbit, so my options are slim to none when an emergency happens. I ended up on an hour drive down to this ER not knowing if they would even take my rabbit. All emergency vets had 8-12 hour wait lists, including this one. The emergency vet I would have taken him to first essentially refused to evaluate him, saying if he’s breathing fine, not bleeding out, and doesn’t have a fever, he is considered stable- despite the fact that he couldn’t urinate. I’m beyond grateful that Dr Frey said no that IS an emergency and he’s going to be seen next. She was knowledgeable about rabbits and I felt confident when he was inside in her care. Still waiting on some results but we’ve since followed up with his regular vet who is an absolute expert in rabbit treatment and said that he agrees with most of her report- getting his approval is a huge compliment. Pricing is a bit expensive here- $250 for the X-ray versus $70 at home. But care was excellent and I would recommend this place, and would return if needed.

Falls Rd Animal Hospital does provide professional care if your animal is ill. They performed all the necessary test to diagnose my dog. My poor baby didn’t make it but I do feel everything that could have been done was done for her. The only cons were they are more expensive than other practices and they don’t call you back when requested. Every call I made to them results in waiting on hold approximately 15-30 minutes. They could do better with their communication.

They were very supportive when my wife and I brought in her dwarf bunny because she didn't seem well. Onyx was a good little girl..

We took our dog here after she passed away since our normal vet was not open at the time. The staff were very friendly, respectful, and helpful.

Super happy with my experience here! My little Dumpling (kitten) has not been feeling well. She had an array of symptoms that included coughing and labored breathing.
We brought her to Falls Road Animal Hospital around 10 PM on a Sunday night. Intake was quick and staff was super friendly and accommodating. I was able to forward email attachment vet records to them so the doctor could look at her records.
She had a scary misdiagnosis right before she went to Falls Road and the vet was able to weigh in on that and say she agreed that it was a misdiagnosis. She also said my Dumpy’s symptoms looked like feline asthma and got her set up with ah initial course of treatment. She even ran an ultrasound over her to look for fluids.
The bill was SO reasonable. I was getting my pocketbook ready for the emergency vet bill and was really pleasantly surprised with the bill.
They were out of one of the medications my cat needed so they wrote me a script. Today I called over 6 pharmacies trying to find the medicine and finally called Falls Road back for some assistance and recommendations. THEY found me a pharmacy, gave them my number, and the pharmacy reached out to me to get her script filled. Seriously blown away with them going the extra mile!
Thank you so much for making my Dumpling feel better and great business practice!

We needed to take Sandy, a cat we rescued in our neighborhood here. When I saw how many people visit the hospital, I knew they must do great work. We needed her to be seen and evaluated to be sure that she didn't pose a medical threat to our resident cat of course. Most importantly, we wanted to be sure she was healthy and address her needs. The cars rolled in and out of the parking lot often. Precautions were carefully taken by the staff to ensure everyone's safety. It appears they have a good system. Communication is top notch. From their app, text messages, emails and calls. I imagine that depending on the pet's condition and needs...it could be a long wait. We didn't mind because when we left with all of the knowledge they were able to find out about Sandy, we were left with an overwhelming feeling of kindness, expertise and professionalism. They kept us very posted and up to date. We will bring both our cats here from now on. Sandy now has a loving forever home so thank you to the staff for helping us with this transition as we bring another pet into our home. My 17-year old daughter whose life-long dream it is to become a veterinarian, is now even more inspired. You guys rock!

Friendly staff who did a great job. Our pet is alive today due to the hospital's late night hours and work.

This is the best animal hospital that I know. I was at work in another state and my dog was sick and I was able to call them and tell them the problem and they were waiting for my dog. I had someone else take her in but they kept me informed the whole way. She was diagnosed and treated and she is doing so much better. I really want to say “Thank you” from my family to the Falls Road staff. You all are great!

Our usual vet did not have any appointments so we needed to find an emergency vet for our Yorkie and we ended up at Falls Road Animal Hospital. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and the COVID protocol they had in place worked smoothly. The doctor took the time to explain our options, answer our questions, and was able to diagnose and treat our dog in less than 2 hours. This will now be our permanent vet.

Everyone at Falls Road Animal Hospital does such an amazing job! When I brought my dog there in the middle of the night for an emergency visit everyone took great care of us! They are kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. Highly Recommended! UPDATE: I brought in my 11 year old rabbit recently for respiratory distress. The staff is very knowledgeable about caring for rabbits and took excellent care of Henry. He spent 3 days in the ICU and is doing much better. So glad I have a reliable emergency vet for my rabbits!

I have a new puppy and I'm a first time dog owner. Pooch had diarrhea and starting throwing up. She was seen quickly. I was super nervous and likely babbling and the receptionist was super sweet and understanding even when I started crying!! The doctor was great and detailed with treatment and next steps. Ruthie was excited when they came to pick her up and just as excited when they brought her back to me. A wonderful experience for the both of us and a very manageable price.

Dr lee My favorite, Saved my cat life, did an excellent surgery, and the daily bandage changes by the rest of the staff greatly appreciated. Price high but result ate excellent. Thank you to the receptionists Michelle, Amanda,Liz,Christine, Sarah..etc, techs and the Varies Young Doctors involved.

I been taking my dog here for about two years now and I'm happy with the service and the care she receives overall.
Olga Grishchenko
Went there on 2 occasions when my cat was attacked and wounds got infected. Once on Friday night even. And they did a surgery at midnight. Staff is very nice and sweet, caring about pets. Doctors called to explain everything (it happened during COVID, so only curbside pick up). I was very happy with everything. Services are a bit expensive, but it is worth it and I like that they are always available, because ad the owner I get so much stress when nobody could do appointment right now, but then Falls Road hospital is always ready to look at the pet. Recommend.

I had a sick 9 week puppy on Sunday morning and they were the only people in Baltimore or Pennsylvania that would see him. Everyone else just said they were understaffed and not taking any patients and “good luck”. They were tired and understaffed too but did a great job and were super with him. I am so grateful to them.
Nikki Neibloom
I brought my puppy in when he injured his leg and started limping. I arrived Sunday morning at 9:50 AM and they took him in pretty quickly at 10:20 AM. I got a call shortly after from the doctor with her initial diagnosis and asked if we should go ahead and do an X-ray. The entire time the staff was friendly and responsive. The whole experience lasted just over an hour and we left with medications for our little guy.
The only downside is that the prices are pretty high for the exam and other services. The quality and speed are worth it, but definitely not somewhere to go on a budget.
Thank you Dr Bloom!

The staff was absolutely amazing and kind. My young kitten had multiple seizures, needless to say we were extremely scared and anxious for answers and everyone was so reassuring and answered all my questions. I'm forever grateful for Falls Road Animal Hospital! They made a very difficult, frightening moment so much better.

My cat had a gastrointestinal emergency late Sunday afternoon. I called around to find an emergency vet to determine wait/response time for when he'd be seen. The receptionist was kind, patient and professional while explaining the difference between "wait times" and actually seeing the patient. Note: they take the patient in to be assessed immediately and the owner may have to wait (this was in my case). Upon arriving a representative came out in less than 5 minutes obtained some additional details and took him in. Dr. Forte oversaw his care-- she was professional, kind and patient. At no point in time did she make me feel rushed. She allowed me to semi-ramble regarding potential options for care (e.g. price points, purpose of the testing, potential results, etc.) and the suspected reasoning for the visit. The day after the visit Dr. Forte (not another staff member) took the time to call and check in on him (and allow me to semi-ramble again).. I'm aware of the high ratings Falls Road Animal Hospital receives and I can understand why. If getting to the hospital wasn't a hike I would strongly consider switching vets.

I have brought many pets here. Before covid and during. The only thing is even with an appointment you could be waiting like 30 min, but being an emergency clinic i feel that pretty normal. Ive brought bearded dragons, tortoise, and my bird to this vet hospital and every time its always been a good experience. They have knowledgeable staff and doctors. Everyone is always friendly and polite. Always ready to answer my questions and concerns. I drive from PA all the way to towson Maryland to see them. Much better than Feathers tails and scales (the worst exotic vet ever) and would recommend falls to anyone with a pet
Melanie Brown
Great experience everytime! My cat needed 2500 dollars worth of surgeries that i couldn't afford. They told me about another vet that could do it cheaper which was great because my cat needed these surgeries. They also allowed my cat to stay there that night until i picked her up the next morning to take her to the other vet!
Pam Blackwell
Brought my dog here after he sustained a pretty bad eye injury. I called 2 other ER vets first that were closer to my home, but they were experiencing 8 hour delays! I call Falls Road and they said it would be about 3 hours. Once I got there, I called and they took my information. A tech came out to get my dog about an hour later. We were there a total of 2 1/2 hours! They were efficient and explained everything thoroughly. In addition, it cost much less than I anticipated! They will be my first choice if I ever need emergency vet services in the future.

Our 9 week old puppy had an emergency - we were treated with kindness, great care and communication. Prices were e planned and ended up costing less than quoted. Excellent hospital! Thank you for saving our puppy!!

Until I met Dr. Jones and Mrs. Kera, I didn’t trust the people in the veterinarian business. So PLEASE, believe me when I say “This place is AWESOME!!!”. My 9yr old female pit-bull, Diamond was in DIRE condition when I took her to Falls Road Animal Hospital Monday morning. In my opinion, this facility is for Animal Lovers, ONLY. So, if you don’t regard your pet as FAMILY?! You might want to go elsewhere (Which I WOULD NOT recommend) because you are gonna pay a couple of dollars for their services. IT IS WORTH IT!!! WELL worth EVERY, SINGLE PENNY. They WILL do their BEST to save your Beloved. Diamond had a nosebleed that lasted well over 4 days. She had NO platelets and she was bruising easily. Dr. Jones, Mrs. Kera, Mrs. Hyde and others really dug in and cared for Diamond, diligently and nursed her back to health. It took IVs, a Blood Transfusion, medications, a few tests and staying a few days in the facility. It’s Wednesday and she’s home now, doing MUCH, MUCH better. “No”. It WASN’T cheap but it was WAAAAAY, WAAAAAY, WAAAAAY WELL WORTH IT. When you’ve had a pet that’s been there with you thru some difficult times?! That’s FAMILY. And like any and all family, when they get sick?!- They deserve The Best. The ABSOLUTE Best. That’s what F.R.A.H. IS. The BEST. I’ve ALWAYS kept a dog. I’ve been dealing with veterinarians, since I was 10. I’m 52, now and I’m telling y’all “F.R.A.H. is The #1 Animal Hospital in the Baltimore City/County area by a Huge Margin... They are The ONLY veterinarians that I actually RESPECT and TRUST.🗣👏🏽👍🏽🖤💯
PS: Allow me to DOUBLE DOWN: Even if Diamond would NOT have gotten better- My opinion would STILL be what it is- NO OTHER ANIMAL HOSPITAL IN BALTIMORE CITY/COUNTY CAN EVEN COME IN CLOSE 2nd TO F.R.A.H... Flat Out!!!🗣👏🏽👍🏽🖤💯

Brought my pup here for an emergency. They completed all sorts of tests with no definitive diagnosis, but who’s to say any pet hospital would have provided a concrete diagnosis. They were professional and treated my pup well. I wish you could wait with your pup between being seen instead of waiting in the car (I know this a Covid thing, but it’s hard on both the pup and the owner). Overall, though, good service.
Denise Jordan
I called 2 pet ER’s before I called them. They were very short and impatient. I also called my brother in between to see we’re he just took his kitty not knowing it was Falls Road. I knew the minute she answered the phone this was going to be the place I was going to try and take my pup!!!! I own my business and expect the way I treat clients to get treated. I got that vibe immediately. Even though they had an extensive waitlist they were super efficient respectful compassionate and concerned. I will from now on be the place I go!!!! I also received a follow up call like 10 mins later from a vet tech that moved me up 2nd in cue. They were honest and considerate. The price was super fair. Thank you for that, no wonder they are an accredited operation. 10+++++++

My rabbit had suddenly stopped eating/drinking and was lethargic. I knew rabbits could go downhill really quickly since they try so hard to hide their illnesses. The staff and Dr. McKnight took very quick action and took the time to explain what was going on and my options. I never felt pressured into any decision, nor did I feel that any of their recommendations were unnecessary or overly pricey. Even though the office was clearly busy, the staff were prompt and responsive, and clearly cared very much about their patients. My rabbit has been home for a week now, and is almost back to his normal, bouncy self. I would recommend Falls Road highly, and will always take my animals back should an emergency arise.

Everyone is so caring and pleasant to be around. We got our rat fixed here and he had a great stay! Thank you guys for treating him like you're own!
Katie Dyson
I had to come here for an emergency a couple days ago, I have 3 rats and they're considered an exotic pet so it's already hard enough just trying to find an exotic vet. I was their because my rats had an upper respiratory infection which rats are prone to. We were in and out. I would definitely go back because I feel that they really cared about my rats. The vet even came back out to the car and said how much she enjoyed them because she had rats at home and she doesn't get to work with them as much as other pets. Right now because of covid you can't go in, but that's pretty much everywhere right now. There might be special circumstances where you can go in.
La Familia!
Kind, professional and supportive staff! Customer service was amazing from the initial call to the end. Our FurBaby didn't overcome his illness. We highly recommend this hospital. Despite our broken hearts, they get a 5 star rating.
Rachel Rose
I love this animal hospital! The front desk staff and nurses and doctors are all very caring, knowledgeable, and patient with all of the questions you may ask as a concerned pet owner! I felt like my chinchilla was in great hands when I had to take her to the after hours emergency care they offer (this is also a huge plus to having a vet from this hospital, my chinchilla’s primary care has limited hours like many vets, so the 24 hour service and care is so important and amazing), and they made sure to be extremely transparent with pricing and outpatient care. Thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Kat Hurlbut
The staff and doctors were very kind and understanding of our emergency situation. They told us that our Sphynx was a good kitty which warmed my heart. The pricing was good considering she had to stay overnight and the wait wasn’t even as long as they anticipated. And they took her in right away. We love our cats, they’re our babies. And Falls Road took good care of her. :) thank you.

Had to go here for really unexpected emergency visits for a cat, twice outside of normal business hours in the same day (but with different staff, early morning and weekend late night). Hospitalized and back again the next day for end-of-life care.
The good:
Given how busy they are, an impressive 10/10 for how quickly they responded to a true emergency situation. We had to wait some, but our pet got immediate care and attention. Follow-ups to let us know immediate status were swift, so they prioritized life-saving and informing owners, then we could wait comfortable that our pet was getting care needed while they caught up with others.
The doctors on call were unexpectedly really compassionate and caring, and we didn't feel rushed when getting information and planning medical steps. Dr. Frey(sp?), the friday late night doctor and the male vet tech that night both distinguished themselves, despite being ridiculously busy at midnight. Dr. Jones the next day and the vet techs for our end-of-life were likewise informative, professional, and we felt really comfortable with the care and information they provided.
Prices were also reasonable, especially for the care required. We took our pet home between emergency visits and didnt have to pay double for two check-ins on the same day.
The bad:
Honestly, the phone staff was hit or miss. We had to call a lot (given 'Rona protocols + nature of the case), and every time it mattered and was an emergency, they were so helpful and on top of it. But a number of times calling for status updates we felt like an imposition or return calls for updates were promised by times and ended up not coming through. It felt like hit or miss as to whether the staff answering phones would act like it was a burden to update us on the status of our dying pet or would be over the top helpful, compassionate, and kind.
The swings of that made for a bit of a disjointed experience, but I would say overall that I highly recommend this animal hospital for their professionalism, care, and service. This was an awful weekend, and I can second guess many things. But I can't second guess the care our pet received when she needed it. Thank you, Falls road, especially Dr. Frey, Dr
Jones, and the Friday late night male vet tech whose name I sadly can't remember but who made a world of difference for us.

I first went to Falls Road Animal Hospital as an ER patient when one of my ferrets was injured. I was impressed with the empathy of the office staff as well as the the professionalism of the medical staff. Besides the emergency fee ($86 up front for after hours visits), I did not feel I was overcharged, though I did wish their payment options were more diverse (cash, MasterCard, Visa only, all fees to be paid at time of visit).
My second visit was when another ferret of mine passed away suddenly. The staff was very empathetic and caring, and did not charge us for an examination of the body or a lab sample they took to determine cause of death; my boyfriend was with her when she passed and they were kind enough to allow him to hold onto the remains until I was able to see her, explaining the only other option would be to freeze her and I would probably not want to view the body in that state. They also helped me make arrangements for the remains, which I was very grateful for.
I recently went back for a yearly checkup and vaccines for my remaining two ferrets and I was not disappointed with the service I received. Both the vet techs and the veterinarians were extremely professional and very personable and knowledgeable. I also received a follow-up call a week later to check if all was okay, which I very much appreciated.
Overall, I would recommend this vet without hesitation. The staff is caring and professional all around, and you can tell they truly care about the animals they treat. They also have dedicated exotic pet specialists, which is very important to me as a ferret caretaker; the exotic pet fees are lower than other places I've used too. This is a wonderful practice!!

Our guinea pigs received excellent care! The Vet Techs and Vets are so helpful and friendly. They show a lot of compassion to their patients! I highly recommend this practice to any pet owners.

Despite the extremely expensive pricing points for their services, they actually have amazing service and very friendly staff. I run a rescue(Happy Tails rescue and rehabilitation) and they have care for every pet brought to them without issue and with efficiency. As stated, they are expensive but you pay for the services that you get.

Went there because it was after hours at my regular vet and I had an emergency. My dog was seen to immediately when I arrived and communication was frequent and clear while they checked him out. They took my concerns carefully, reassured me, and sent me home with the right medications to help my dog. Much cheaper and more responsive than the emergency vet's office.
Karen Meadow
Our cat was having what we thought might be an emergency problem and our Vet was not able to see him, so we contacted Falls Road Animal Hospital since it is a 24/7 hospital. They were able to take us very quickly.
Barbara Williamson
Good process for pet visit during corvid.
Staff very professional.
Very understanding, very patient.

My husband and I love this place. The staff is friendly. My dogs are comfortable with them. They’re thorough. I had an emergency visit/walk-in just a few days ago and due to COVID19 they were doing ‘curb side’ care. They were well equipped to handle business that way with PPE etc and it worked well. I did have a long wait time (3 hours) but I did speak with veterinarian on the phone during and after he was seen. Thanks everyone there for your help, all your hard work and dedication!

On April 12th I called because my cat Keyser was having difficulty breathing so they told me to bring him for an emergency visit. I brought him in and the vet evaluated him and told me that his lung had completely collapsed and there was nothing they could do. I was shocked. She asked if I wanted to put him down. I said no I want to take him home. She advised against that and said he could suffer another breathing episode and it would be painful for us both. She told me to call and discuss it with my husband and let them know my decision. It was tough but I agreed to let him go. Because of covid I was in the car. They let me come in and hold him and say my goodbye. The vet told me I could get him cremated. I decided not to. I cried in the car and went home. The hospital offers a paw print. I said ok great. A couple of days later I get a call saying l could pick up the paw print. I picked it up and I went home. I opened the box to find a nice plaster paw print with Keyser's name engraved at the bottom of it. There were also two pamphlets in the bag about coping with the loss of a companion animal and understanding grief. This was a great personal touch that I was expecting. I would definitely recommend Falls road animal hospital to anyone that needs medical attention for their pet(family).

We are so grateful to the entire team at the Falls Road Animal Hospital!! We have taken our dog Chief their for two major surgeries and each time everyone was so helpful and professional. They explained the entire process to us, took great care to ensure they had done all the tests and had everything in place to ensure success. They kept us posted throughout and most importantly took great care of Chief!! I highly recommend the Falls Road Animal Hospital and appreciate how great they have treated our pets.

Dr. Hall was very compassionate with me and towards my dog. I had to euthanize my old dog but they let me be with her and hold her while she was put down they empathize with me and did all they could for her and me. They are a great vet/ hospital and i will definately use them again
CalicoCatahoula
Our puppy got bitten or stung and had an allergic reaction, they were able to take us right away. We were asked what we would like and after she received her treatment they were willing to keep her for observation for a bit. Her face was significantly better and we are so thankful they could see her right away and she is doing well now! We are so thankful to them and I would recommend them to anyone!
DubzHouseMusic
Fantastic animal hospital! The entire staff was super friendly. They were very gentle with my German Shepherd who is very dog and people reactive. Kelsey at the front desk was really sweet and Dr. Fore was super nice and very knowledgeable. We had to come in as an emergency so we were expecting a crazy bill. $226 for UTI treatment! That includes the emergency fee, urinalysis (we brought a sample ourselves) and her prescriptions. Highly recommend!

My daughter brought her pet rabbit here for a checkup and a couple of issues. She had a wonderful experience. Everyone she spoke to was friendly. The vet, Dr. Emily, was gentle with the rabbit and patient with my daughter, answering all her questions (this is our first rabbit). My daughter made an appointment and was in and out fairly quickly.
Malinda Williams
I brought my cat in this morning for an emergency visit. After sitting in the car for 2 hours the doctor called still not clear about exactly what the issue was with my cat. She told me someone would be out with him and his medicine. 20 minutes later I called and stayed on hold for 15 minutes to ask when someone would bring him. They apologized for the delay and said someone would bring him right out. 30 minutes later I called again and the rep said no one told them he was ready to leave. When they brought him out the person reviewed his records and asked if I could wait a few more minutes. When she came back she said the doctor didn’t give him is shot. She did it in the back of my car. I had a question about the medication because the instructions were for a large dog or a small dog. The tech said the instructions are the same fir the car. I had to ask a second time because there were two different doses and she didn’t seem confident in her answer. I’ve been here a few time but the service today was an experience that makes me not want to return for a normal visit or emergency.

This was the only place available to bring my guinea pig Diamond for emergency services! I drove from Alexandria to Baltimore and from the drop off to the pickup she was in EXCELLENT care! I would recommend this place to every animal...especially exotics!
Ashlee Benge
Our pup had an emergency surgery here after complications due to a spay surgery performed at a different clinic. Due to the severity, the surgery resulted in a week long stay with Falls Road while our pup healed. Dr. Barker and Dr. Herko were amazing during the entire process. We really appreciated the updates and how transparent they were about what was going on with our pup. All of the vet techs we met were also great. We would absolutely recommend this clinic for any emergency.
Brian Scher
Had to take our dog there because she ate some yarn. The staff there was very receptive and friendly. I was in awe when one of the techs sent me pictures of my dog after I had called to check up on her. To me, thats above and beyond customer care and caring for our pets.
Joe Geiger
I don't know how this animal hospital only has 3.5 stars. I have had wonderful experiences every time I have been there! I recently took in my cat for an emergency because the previous vet we had taken him too did not screen him properly. Turns out he has had an ulcer that hasn't been treated properly. The vet Gabriella Forte was extremely helpful and took the time to get to the root cause. We left feeling more confident in his recovery and with the proper resources to continue his treatment. I also recommend this hospital for reptiles!

Organizationally, don't expect to get in and out....our African Grey Chloe was at death's door when we took her to FRAH. The treatment and care she received . .from Dr. YI was exceptional. She saved Chloe's life. She stayed in close contact during Chloe's hospitalization, and was very thorough and patient explaining our options. At no time did she press us for needless testing or imaging....just what she felt absolutely necessary for my pet's wellbeing..
Although she's not quite out of the woods Chloe is doing much better...thanks to Dr.Yi

They saved my Moo Moo's life. Most people know that cats have urinary issues. He started with not being able to go potty. Although my Moo is not the friendliest, to other people. They were so awesome with him. With an over night stay and the right med's and a change of diet. Moo is back to his mean self. Thank you for all your help!!

Had to take a rabbit who had severe stasis, Sylvie. Of course it was at 11pm on a weekend. Dr. Hayward was very knowledgeable and accommodating. They even allowed her brother Loki to be boarded near Sylvie to help her recover.
Samuel O'Farrell
We had an emergency with one of our bunnies Epona (we accidentally cut her during grooming) and Falls Rd was the only hospital in the area that could operate, both Lutherville Animal Hospital and Hunt Valley Animal Hospital didn’t have any doctors that could even look at her.
Falls rd was super helpful and was able to see her right away. Great service, timely, and cost effective! Would definitely recommend for any rabbit owners in the local area.
Also shout out to Lauren, she did both intake and brought Epona back out (almost 12 hours apart) and she was super informative and friendly!

Taking your pet to an emergency room comes with much fear and anxiety. The staff was very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. With the Covid 19 pandemic going on I expected a bit of parking lot confusion. To my surprise the process was easy and overall great. They took great care of my puppy and I am very pleased.
Kevin Ferentz Performances
Truly outstanding care by every vet who has treated our cockerpoo Lucy. The staff is kind and caring. Only place to bring your sick pup!
Sabra Dorsey-Jackson
I was very patient when my dog had an emergency, but seeing Xander look back at me when they took him inside really touched my heart! But I knew he was in very good care.
Everything was curbside, and waiting in my car seeing other furry ones being taken inside touched my heart not just for the animals but the owners too!!
Awesome job Falls Road, just awesome of the communication while we as their parents waited patiently of the unknown results.👍🏽🙏🏽❤💯💖😊🐕
THANK YOU ESSENTIAL WORKERS FOR DOING WHAT NEEDS AND HAS TO BE DONE!!! THANK YOU!!!
Aaron Allen
We had an urgent issue come up and had to get our dog in right away, we were able to "walk in" and get him in with no appointment right away. I appreciated that weren't pushed to have unnecessary testing done and the staff was very pleasant and understanding. Very happy with our experience and will using this office going forward.

We were in town for the weekend and needed prompt care for our puppy that possibly ingested his larger sisters incontinence medication. We quickly found Falls Road Hospital and took our little guy there and they attended to him quickly. After a short stay to monitor him, he was released back to us that same afternoon. Very good service and professional staff.

We brought our pup Spyro to the Falls Rd Animal Hospital almost a month ago. He got sick and this is the first place My partner and I found. I’m so glad we did! They took such good care of our boy. They did whatever they could to make sure we could not only afford what was going on but that we felt comfortable and hopeful about the process.
One thing I will say is that it does take time to be seen because they are an emergency animal hospital but I can promise IT IS WORTH IT! It make take some time waiting but they do a great job and all the doctors we encountered such as Dr.McKnight and Dr. Erin Yi were phenomenal. Thank you Falls Rd! We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to our fur babies. 💛 What would we do without awesome veterinarians?
-Kirsten and Kathryn.

I took my pet for the first time for vaccines as my regular vet office is temporarily closed. They were able to get me in as an emergency and the wait was much less than expected. The staff was very friendly and reliable.
Michelle Kemp
we had a scare with our 3 month old goldendoodle last night!! As we’ve been told, puppies eat everything and she did! The entire team at Falls Rd Animal Hospital was incredible! They were so patient and kind to us as they cared for baby Winnie. It was a busy night for them but they moved quickly!! they are Saints.

Very long wait and short staffed. Took a week for my father's dog to be able to be seen. Spend 3 hours there when there was no wait on a Sunday morning (7:50 AM- 11:05 AM) but he did get the treatment that he needed.
Charlotte Sneath
This is not the closest hospital to where I live, and when my dog had a very infected hotspot I called over a dozen places in the city. All told me that they had no available appointments for weeks and that he didn’t qualify as an emergency. Falls Road invited me to come over right away and despite a full parking lot, were able to see and treat my dog so that we were out of there within an hour. They were super friendly and accommodating.
Eryca Ecker
My dog had a medical emergency and the staff/Dr. was more than helpful. The services needed were completed in a timely manner, and not as expensive as I thought it would be. Highly recommend this practice for emergencies or regular appointments.
TAB Jones
I was taking my cat in for a spay/neuter appointment and coming into the clinic, customers are instructed to call when we arrived and the young lady that was in the office came out in a matter of seconds, answered all of my concerns, gave me instructions and what to expect afterwards and was very kind and concise.

I have been going to Falls Road Animal Hospital for many years. Dr. Haywood has taken care of my cats and dogs. She is wonderful. The Hospital is clean and neat. The staff is fantastic. You can call whenever you need help. When my pet had an operation they were very kind when I called. When my 22 year old cat had to be put to sleep cried my eyes out. They were so kind to me. They sent a card and called to see how I was doing. I would never go anywhere else. I love my pets and the care they get at Falls Road Animal Hospital. They are #1 in my book.

I had to bring my almost 13 year old Maltese for an emergency surgery July 8th. The staff were very pleasant, knowledgeable, and caring. They answered every question we had and were very detailed. All of this while operating only through curbside service. I was impressed. They were really just all around great. However, on the date my dog was picked up from surgery they forgot to send her home with her medication. No problem. They’re open 24 hours, so I called them. It was getting close to the time my dog had to take the next dose according to the paperwork she was sent home with and she was getting fussy from the pain, but I was patient and understanding. It was just a mistake. I can go back and pick it up. I called and happily waited on hold, as my call was not an emergency. I told the woman who answered what happened and was a little taken aback by her response. She stated that the pharmacist was not in and that I would have to wait until the next day to pick up the prescription. I felt that her prescription should have already been filled and sitting around somewhere. But I also understand mistakes happen and the request must have gotten lost. Ok, So I tell her my dog is in pain, I was hoping that she would be able to tell me what I could do in the mean time (I.e. get topical analgesic from the pet store or something). She proceeded to tell me that they currently had 7 emergencies and 3 were euthanasia. I felt this was highly inappropriate, as I am also a customer, who just paid a large amount of money for a service which included medication to be sent home with the patient. I didn’t comment on her statement. I understand we are all dealing with hard times at the moment, but that could have been left unsaid. Like I said, I’m a very understanding person so much so that I understand what a euthanasia emergency looks like as I had to euthanize my 10 year old lab mix in February 2020 due to cancer rapidly spreading in his liver and lungs. Maybe that is why her comment has stayed with me all week. I told her that I would be there the next day to pick up the medicine and we hung up. Later that evening a doctor called and profusely apologized for the missing medication. I was surprised. I didn’t think I’d get a call until the next day. The doctor had the prescription filled within 20 mins! I thanked the doctor and had my husband pick up the meds. They were ready and waiting for him. The next day I got a call from the hospital again and another lady profusely apologized too and said the prescription was ready. I’m not sure if she was the same lady from the prior evening, but she was so apologetic. I thanked her and told her it had been filled the night before and expressed my appreciation for her call. She was even able to clear up some dosing instruction confusion for me. Overall, I had a great experience with the hospital. I’d like to thank everyone who assisted my dog and my family. This was a very trying week, but I’m thankful for the staff of Falls Road Animal Hospital for their service and commitment to my pet and the community.

Phenomenal facility, staff, and spirit!! We're over an hour away, but since they make spay/neuter procedures as accommodating and fees as reasonable as possible for foster families and rescues, we've taken many of our foster animals there.
Dr. Hayward, Chloe, and the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful. There's no question how much they love and care for every single animal they come in contact with. Yes, it's a large facility with 12 vets and many staff, but you'll feel as if you're in a small town vet's office. That's how tightly knit and close they are with each other and with each patient.

My cat was attacked by a dog and suffered severe injuries. Unfortunately, he stopped breathing on the way to the animal hospital. The staff offered me options while showing an extraordinary amount of compassion toward a nearly hysterical pet owner. Despite the loss of my pet, I could not miss what a phenomenal staff they have and their incredible performance in helping me through a most traumatic experience.
Their swift response, honesty, and compassion were greatly appreciated, and strongly remembered.
Their services in many other areas are no less commendable. They offer a wealth of information and services for new pet owners and lifelong pet lovers, alike. They provide excellent care and products for daily health and emergency services; as well as grooming facilities and spay/neuter.
I highly recommend them and all the services they offer for pets of many kinds. I know I will be returning soon under much happier circumstances as my remaining cat grows closer to her delivery of a new litter soon. :)
And a special thank you once again to the staff from the evening of 6/26/13. Thank you almost does not seem like enough.

It can be difficult to find a veterinarian with experience treating reptiles, especially turtles. Falls Road has been great with my slider, they have treated him for several conditions and were are able to consult with exotic specialists when necessary. This is a large and very busy practice and it can be difficult to get a timely appointment; you can just show up as a walk-in emergency but you might have to wait a while.
Shelia Dixon
Always tops in vets. Curbside service they run it like a clock. They charge 116.00 dollars for emergencies. It does cover the vet bill you do pay extra for everything else. Can be quite costly so if you can make an appointment do so. They do have Herp Dr and see exotic animals. Only reason I go there, so I have to pay the high prices. But really for my other more softer members of my family I still seek help from Erdman Ave. Clinic. Very good Dr and family friendly prices. So Exotic Falls Rd. Others Erdman Ave.

We all see the segment on Channel 11 news with Dr. Hammond most of the time, but I had never been to Falls Road Animal Hospital until the other night. I recently rescued an 18mo old Miniature Pinscher from a high kill shelter in Tennessee and the other night, I woke up to his displaying signs of choking, retching, coughing and I decided to take him into the pet ER at Falls Road. They were absolutely amazing with me and my dog. From start to finish, they were compassionate, professional and took very good care of us. Thank you so much.
Madison Miller
Great, attentive, caring, and professional staff! They are very passionate. Took great care of my dog! Diagnosed and treated him, and also gave us instructions on how to help heal him at home! I recommend!

Thank you for seeing my Meya (sheppard/pit) - your location is convenient & the staff and veterinarians are top notch (friendly and knowledgeable) you truly put my mind at ease because my Meya (sheppard/pit) is family & and I know without a shadow of a doubt that whenever I need care for her (Meya)Falls Road Animal Hospital on Falls Road in Baltimore Maryland is the place that I will go :-)

They are reasonably prompt and efficient, prices are fair. My cat was in for surgery and had to stay overnight. It would have been nice if they had the dog and cat kennels separated.
Edited to bump this to 4 stars: they have been great the last few times I've been there, and have had a string of really good vet techs doing triage. Would still like separate dog/cat boarding for surgery, but recognize that's really tough to set up.

I just got back from having to put my dog down here. He was 15 years old and we took him to Fall Road multiple times in his old age. They were always professional, clear and understanding when giving us options. They never pushed us to spend money we didn't have and always helped us make the right decisions for our family. Tonight, the doctor had tears in her eyes with us as he passed even though she had never met us nor our dog.

We took my sister's cat, side affects of medicine from a prior vet's diagnosis. The Dr. stayed in contact with my sister.on every phase of the exam. With not being able to go in to the office it was such a comfort. I will make this veterinary my pet's care giver. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. JONES.
Autumn Gombeda
This was my first time going here and I was very impressed! Everyone was super helpful and professional! My cat Cleo can be very aggressive when going to the vet’s, and I appreciate how they handled her knowing her behavior. I will definitely be coming back here, thank you!

Updated from three stars to four stars August 2020: Dr. McKnight was incredibly kind, swift to respond, and addressed our needs during an emergency visit. I was very grateful for her assistance and understanding with Max. Thank you, Falls Road Care Team.
May 2020:I have brought both my hedgehog and my dog to Falls Road Animal Hospital for their care since October 2019. The only reason I like bringing my pets here is because of the professionalism of Dr. Herko. He is kind, straightforward, Practical, and sensitive to the needs of the patient and their owners.
Whether you come to Falls Road Animal hospital during an emergency or for a regular scheduled check up, expect to spend a long time there waiting. I have had appointments during quarantine times and several before then, the wait times here are in excess—more than any other vet I’ve frequented, and that includes the SPCA clinic.
The staff are all very friendly, and even today when there was a scheduling mix up caused by a staff member’s error, the receptionist remained upbeat. The issue I have is that rather than asking questions to determine what happened, she made an accusation. Details: Yesterday, I scheduled an appointment online for my dog Kenley for a skin irritation. I was told they wouldn’t have an opening until 6/6/2020 but I could be added to the waitlist in case of cancellation. A few hours later I received a call that there was an opening for 5/15 at 3pm. On the morning of 5/15 I submitted a check in form with my personal information. Today at 2:40pm I pulled up to a marked parking spot and called to let them know we arrived. The receptionist said, “I see you have an appointment scheduled for June 6th at 2:30, but you called and canceled your appointment this morning at 9:30.” I said that wasn’t me, there must be some kind of mistake. She didn’t even consider the alternative possibility that someone canceled the wrong appointment by mistake. She put me on hold and returned a few minutes later saying that they could still see him but I would be paying emergency prices. I reemphasized that that was not me and there was some scheduling error by staff, and I was placed on hold again. (If I had cancelled, why would I be even be there??) They were able to accommodate him which I was grateful for, but quite honestly, that was the expectation I had as a regular customer of FRAH. Instead of feeling relieved that my pet was being treated, I couldn’t help but feel frustrated. Instead of telling me that I had called and canceled, she could have asked if I called earlier that day. We both could have gotten to the bottom of the situation together. Please coach your staff to be inquisitive and not dismissive. Please encourage them to support your customers. Pet care situations can be emotional; this was a rash, nothing serious (but still concerning!!), and it immediately felt stressful after dealing with staff.

I take all of my pets (3 cats and 1 dog) to Falls Rd. Animal Hospital. I first came in 2 years ago due to an emergency with one of my cats. Because of their professionalism and great treatment of my pets, I continue to go back. They are always up front with options for the various treatments my pets have received, are always considerate of cost, and the necessity of certain treatments vs. how effective they might actually be in treating the symptoms at hand. One of my cats had to come in for a week long treatment for a potentially life threatening condition. While he was there, I received calls from the attending vet (Dr. Anthony) every day and when I came to visit him, was always impressed by how much the staff cared about him. They even when out of their way to close off a room for him as he started to recover and was taken off the IV so he wouldn't be stuck in the normal treatment crate all the time, but still needed to be monitored. I was very impressed by this experience.
Additionally, I had the unfortunate experience of having to put down a foster dog at their facility. It was an incredibly difficult situation and experience, but the staff was so compassionate and understanding. They even sent me a hand signed sympathy card from all of the staff members after his passing. I recently had an appointment for one of my own pets and one of the staff members remembered my foster and the situation. It was so touching to know that they cared enough to remember me and my foster.
They also get bonus points for getting me in quickly for scheduled visits or emergencies. I have always been amazed at their ability to get everything coordinated so well, even when the staff has a lot going on at the front desk and you can tell their back room staff are very busy.
One point I would like to make about the environment in the waiting area - while I know Dr. Hammond does a lot of work around the world to help animals and has met a number of celebrities, I go to this office for the treatment of my pets and they receive treatment from the excellent staff there. I would love to see more pictures of the vets, techs, and front desk staff that I am entrusting my animals' care to. Recognition of their work is important to ensure they know they are appreciated for the work they do and the compassion they show. They should be recognized as much as Dr. Hammond.

We have only had good experiences at Falls Road. The first time I took my pup there was to have emergency surgery that our former vet did an awful job on. The surgeon at Falls Road was patient, kind, knowledgeable and kept me in the loop the entire time. When I picked my dog up from surgery she was in good spirits and the sutchers/staples looked SO much better! I have been taking my pup here every since for regular check-ups and anything else she needs. The entire staff is friedly and very good at what they do.

I brought my puppy poodle into the hospital and found out he had parvo. The expense for his care was pretty expensive but it was all worth every penny ! They had to hospitalize him for a week and He’s doing great and back to his usual self. I was so sad and hurt because I thought we wouldn’t survive but thanks to these guys, my pal has a promised future . Thank you all so very much !

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable during our visits, however filing insurance claims for my pet was NOT an easy task with Falls Road Animal Hospital. They are extremely non-responsive and after many emails, follow up emails, phone calls, it took weeks to get a simple claim form filled out and submitted. I've been to 2 other animal hospitals and never had this issue.

Falls Road is an excellent full service animal hospital. The staff is knowledgable, caring, and attentive. Each time I visit, they are thorough in their medical assessments and keep me well informed about the health of my pets. The vets and techs are very proactive with preventative health pet care. I have been a client of Falls Road Animal Hospital off and on for over 12+ years for several cherished pets. Over the years, I have used their medical services, grooming services, kenneling, and doggie daycare -- all with great success. Falls Road provides quality care that I can consistently rely upon. Due to the excellent service they provide, it's truly no surprise that they have been awarded as Baltimore's Best Animal Hospital and are also nationally recognized for their veterinary care. I trust them with my pets. I highly recommend this animal hospital.
Quintin McDonald
I bring all of my reptiles here, as there aren't many reptile vets in Baltimore the wait time can get long but they have a system to notify you when it's your turn.
Maria Esquilin Ramos
I had my cat Luna they were extremely good and considered every single thing for my cat to be comfortable during his surgery and recovery very nice 5 out of 5 do recommend.

Peace of mind!
Doctor Hammond and his staff have always been wonderful to deal with. I have taken my fur kids there since 1995 and have always felt very well served.
Even though I don't necessarily live close, I have always taken my fur kids here for the best care and reasonable prices. I have taken my own personal animals as well as all of my fosters here for treatment. It's nice in an emergency to know that your fur kid will see the same doctors that they normally see.
Doctor Hammond has been fabulous, always making sure that I am receiving the service needed. He is a huge advocat for animals.
Doctor Sand is great to deal with and work with on ongoing care.
Doctor Allen is also great to deal with as he helped me through a very difficult decision.
The office staff is always knowledgeable, friendly and available.
The staff in the pet store are equally as friendly and helpful.
My two JRT's love everyone there and enjoy saying hello especially to Karina.
Unless I move out of the area, I can't imagine taking my animals anywhere else for care.

I had an emergency. I called them and they immediately told me to rush my Guinea pig to them. I was met outside by Vet techs who rushed over to me and grabbed my Animal and immediately took him into a Vet. Great Staff, Extremely Polite, And this Animal Clinic took my Guinea pig Grayson when no one else would do to Covid19 And the fact many had no appointments for 14 to 30 Days. Highly Recommend them !!!

One of the best emergency animal hospitals in this area.
Some of these reviews don't line up, so let me talk about how this works:
You do NOT need to come up with the money before the vets take in your animal. They don't even charge until the very end of the visit. As for all the people saying that they are slow- this is a HOSPITAL. There are animals whose lives are on the line, and of course they're going to prioritize an animal who is bleeding out over your dog who has a broken paw. Just like a human hospital.
If your animal is having breathing issues, they will IMMEDIATELY take them into an oxygen room and alert a vet so they will be seen asap.
I've seen so many angry people coming in and yelling at the staff because they've been waiting for hours to be seen (again, just like what would happen in any other hospital) and the staff handle it very well. They are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. The vets are very sweet and communicate well. I have been there for exotic and non exotic, and they really do have the best. But I do have to say that if you have a bird, you are in the best possible hands.
If your pet is in dire conditions, they will treat them immediately. If your pet has an ear infection and you come in without an appointment, then you could be stuck waiting for an hour or two. Just remember that before you review, that this is an emergency hospital.

Let's be real everyone writing bad reviews about the wait.... The wait at ANY hospital is long... Human hospital emergency room and animal emergency room. With that said, after the typical wait I am thankful for the friendly staff working on Christmas to make sure my Jerry's health will be restored. Checking him on arrival to make sure it's okay for us to wait. They allowed me to ask all my questions and concerns and gave real feedback. No unnecessary treatment. Not force to spend hundreds of dollars. Offered a choice in his care. Many thanks to all the staff at falls Rd animal hospital!! Jerry is on the mend and eating normally now.

I took my sick Guinea Pig to the Falls Road Animal Hospital and they did very well making sure that the pets and the owners were safe by following good procedures due to COVID-19. They answered all of my questions and took good care of my pet and she was better after only one day of treatment.

Falls Road Animal Hospital is a great choice if you are a local resident and your furry friend is in need of assistance. I would have gave them Five stars but the wait for the vet to see our dog was a little bit long. Besides that the staff was very nice and friendly & the medicine had my dog back to 100% In a week!
Tony Glasser
This is a full service Pet Hospital. The Doctors and staff are wonderful and caring. Our vet, Dr. Hayward, came highly recommended by other vets I spoke to. She is a excellent surgeon and very compassionate to her patients and their owners. I think the place gets a bad rap because some people may be turned off by Dr Hammond's TV appearances, but he is a very caring individual and good doc. I am especially happy that they are a 24 hour full service place. There is vet on premise 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. Gives one extra comfort when your leaving your pet overnight.

Falls Road Hospital is AWESOME! They took care of my Baby Skah! I was so worried about him. Even though it put us in a little of a jam with the vet fees, he has gotten the proper care that he needs. FYI please get pet insurance because the cost of going to the vet is like an expensive car note and maybe a couple of bills🤣 …

I was visiting Baltimore when my puppy started feeling very sick. I was absolutely terrified being out of town with a sick puppy. The staff here is so friendly and attentive. I am so grateful they helped out my little baby. I suffered a very traumatic loss this year, have a lot of anxiety around losing the ones I love, and am so grateful for all the help and care I was shown here! A special thank you to Dr. Frey for giving me such detailed after care notes and following up with me on the phone, it really helped ease my anxiety. Thank you so much!

My dog Gizmo was not feeling well when I came home from work, my vet office was closed so I took Gizmo to Falls Road Animal Hospital for a sick visit and the took care of him in a timely manner. The Vet and staff was very professional and pleasant. I will definitely bring Gizmo back for future care .

I did have to wait a little while but there was a medical emergency that came in prior to me. The vet and the technician were really friendly and had great rapport with my dog (who is often very skittish with new people). The vet took time to explain the medication and was concern with pin pointing exactly what he needed. Overall it was a good experience and I'm happy we decided to try this establishment.

If you have been away from Falls Road Animal Hospital for a few years, I urge you to give them another try. They have truly stepped up their game!
My husband and I have lost two elderly cats in the last two years. We were blown away by the care they received at Falls Road. We were even more blown away by the extraordinary kindness and compassion we received when it was time to say goodbye to our animals. We have recently adopted a new kitten and never even thought of taking him anywhere else.
Dr. Allen is, without question, the best around. He is hands on and loving with our animals and more than willing to answer any questions we have during our appointments. Additionally, he and all of the doctors are available by phone and respond incredibly quickly to messages left for them.
The front desk staff is where I have seen the real difference in the last few years. I have done the leg work. I have shopped around. This staff is amazing. They know my animals by name, care about how they are doing and make me feel like family every time I walk in the door.
Thank you FRAH for everything!!

Dr. Paynter is a lifesaver, literally. Both of my dogs love him, and it's obvious that the staff loves them. They never hesitate to go with them, which hasn't always happened at other places. I have complete confidence in the care that they receive, and I wouldn't trade our OMVC family for anything. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!! Thank you for taking care of my two piece nuggets.
Rebecca Schuman
All of my pets have been treated and saved here. This was not our first choice for a vet when we first got pets but quickly became the only place we take our animals now. Dr barker is terrific with our chocolate lab puppy and super sweet when dealing with puppy parents who are just worried and have a million questions. Dr miller was professional and compassionate when it came time to let our dog move on. And all 3 of my cats love coming and seeing the staff. Whether it's routine or an emergency this is our go to vet now.
M Lucienne
Though I loved the accuracy of the clinical diagnosis I received when I took my pet there, I was a bit under-whelmed by the office visits.
Of the 4 visits I had, I was only able to actually speak with a vet 50% of the time. Technicians did the other two. Now I know that some people will be okay with this, I'm not.
I feel that the least a patient should receive during an office visit, is a direct conversation with the vet, no matter how brief it is, if they are really busy. That's reassuring. Why else are they there?
So, I took away 2 stars for the lack of vet interaction because I'm old school and like interpersonal interactions.

My daughter has been bringing her "babies" to FRAH for many, many years now ... back in the days when Dr. Kim Hammond saw patients. She rescued a puppy that ended up having parvo virus. FRAH worked tirelessly and after about a week, "Jeep" was well enough to go home. Every time Jeep came in for an appointment, even if he was scheduled to see another vet, Dr. Hammond always stopped in to see Jeep because he thought he was a fighter and loved Jeep's personality. I started bringing my pets to FRAH several years ago. The doctors and staff have always been professional and compassionate with my older cats. I recently adopted two rescue kittens and brought them to FRAH for a check-up and some meds. A picture of one kitten - Baby Shark (for the shark fin on her nose) - is attached. They will go back in a couple weeks for their next set of shots. I always know that FRAH will provide the best care. While prices might seem high, they offer senior citizen discounts and that certainly helps. I highly recommend FRAH.

I don't understand why this animal hospital only has 3.5 stars because on April 4th 2020, I took my dog (Pepper) for a walk and when we came in the house she played and wrestled with me as she normally does. About an hour later she decided to take her daily mid-morning nap Around 11:30 I awaken her and she was unresponsive. Her eyes were rolling in the back of her head. When I picked her up, her whole body went limp. Her neck was limp, her limbs were limp. I immediately drove to Falls Road Animal Hospital. The attendants hurriedly came out and took her to be worked on. Shortly thereafter, the doctor walked uo to me and told me what I could expect to be done and how much that would cost. I told them I disnt habe that kind of money so they told me about two websites that I could go to for financial assistance with the bill. I chose one of those websites to use to pay for the bill.My dog stayed overnight and the facility was excellent. They were very good with responding to me when I called. They were calling me with updates. They were very good with explaining the bill to me. They were also very instrumental in assisting me with helping to get the bill paid. I highly recommend Falls Road Animal Hospital.
Shout out to Kelsey!!!! She was working that Saturday.

Late on a Friday afternoon, my son's bearded dragon took a fall to the ground and was unable to move his back legs. After calling around, I could not find a place nearby to see him, but each place I called suggested Falls Road Animal Hospital. When I called them, the person who answered the phone was kind and helpful. She let me know I could bring him right in for an emergency visit. We were not allowed in the building due to Covid-19. But, they continued to be kind and helpful by phone when we got there to check in. The tech that came to get him seemed to really care. During our time waiting, the doctor called twice to let us know what her findings were and what she wanted to do. Watching other animals come and go from the building, the techs always seemed caring and calm.

I have been going to the same groomer for 4 years, all my wonderful Pomeranian's life. But I moved and the groomer was now too far. I asked everyone about places in the Towson area and no one had any recommendations of groomers they loved. Finally someone told me that For Pet's Sake on Falls Road had a new groomer and she was wonderful. I called and spoke to the receptionist for a while, she was kind and very patient. I had a few questions she could not answer, so she actually got the groomer on the phone. The new groomer's name is Kristol and she was so sweet and accommodating and knowlegdeable that I had no choice but to complete the appointment and take my baby in to meet her. The morning of the appointment, she came right up to him, greeted him and gave him a bunch of love and asked me all the important questions and listened to everything that was important to me. She got him in and out quickly and she did an absolutely wonderful job and when I picked him up he was not stressed or anxious at all. I am so relieved to have a groomer in the area and it's not a surprise that Kristol was voted Baltimore's Best Groomer. She has a client for life with my Bear.

My lab had heat stroke while visiting with my family back in April. Falls animal hospital was closest and we didn't hesitate bringing him there. They kept us up to date when asked to with atleast a call a day if not 2 or 3. We worked with Dr. Barker and she was straight forward the whole time he was in their care. Everyone there knew he was and seemed to take very good care of him. We got a follow up call checking on him even after his release . They are great with visiting basically giving you carte Blanche for visiting hours . Just be a little patient during their busy hours. Vet was not cheap but from what I have heard , we were not charged any thing out of line compared to other hospitals . It's great they are a 24 7 facility since it truly allows you flexibility in time of an emergency. Thank you for being a local asset for the community for pet lovers.
Lauren Snyder
They've taken excellent care of my rats, and the staff is really nice. Every time I've been there, everyone is working very hard to accommodate every patient and family.
The walk-in wait times can sometimes be long, but I can't complain. Being able to walk in and get care when needed has been vital, and the staff assesses the degree of emergency immediately. The downside is that I've sometimes had to be a walk-in because I couldn't get an appointment for over a week. So while I didn't have a true emergency, I couldn't wait that long for an appointment, and then had to pay the emergency fee.
However, I am happy with the quality and availability of care, and will continue to go there.

I'm a very satisfied, long-distance user... My mother's dog, age 12, ate a bone at Thanksgiving that he munched down happily, but two days later he was severely constipated. (Yes, I know, don't feed turkey bones to your dog!) My mother is unable to drive, and I live in NYC, so our dog walker took my mom's beagle-mix to his first visit to this veterinary practice. I called in advance to describe the dog's symptoms to the front desk, so when dog and walker arrived, they took them immediately, and called me to start the admitting and payment process. I asked the costs in advance, and that's exactly what they charged.... $90 for the exam, $200 for 2 X-rays to check for blockage, and about $30 for two oral medications. Processing the records took more time than expected, but not a big deal given it was a Sunday, and they took my mom's pup immediately. Very happy ending all around. I noticed that reviews are super positive or totally negative. I was very pleased, so that's my 2 cents.

I brought in a 7 month old ferret due to a bowel obstruction. It was an emergency vet situation, and the staff was respectful, courteous, and extremely good at putting my mind at ease. They were up front with all potential costs, and communicated throughout the entire process. These guys brought him back to full recovery without doing any unnecessary work. Overall it was a great experience!

Found a severely underweight kitty who desperately needed medical attention. Falls Road Animal Hospital saw her within two hours. They took great care of her, and helped stabilize her very quickly.
When I came to pick her up a short time later, it was like night and day. She went from lethargic and barely able to move, to a sweet, vocal, and active kitty. Both my new cat and I owe them for their rapid, and quality response to an animal in need.
Rachel Schapiro
They have helped me in emergency situations and have been great. They also took great care of my rat when she continuously had dental problems. I just felt the care was inconsistent, very hit or miss. I also knew I had to set aside a couple of hours to he there, even when I had an appointment, because I would wait for a while to be seen.
Ruth Lazar
Thanks to the outstanding staff at Falls Road Animal Hospital and the tremendous efforts of Dr. Jones (and Dr. Yi) they saved my dogs life!!! My Annabelle was going into Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) was vomiting, couldn't even keep water down, was lethargic and unbalanced.
They kept her from Thursday noon to Sunday evening--I got back a brand new dog! Thank you THANK YOU to Dr. Jones for not only taking excellent care of her, taking the necessary steps to correct a deadly situation but also for taking her time out from what has to be a crazy, busy schedule to answer my multiple phone calls with questions and updates.
I believe that I am switching to Falls Road as my new vet--my dog's case is just too complicated for my regular vet. BEST WISHES FALLS ROAD ANIMAL HOSPITAL and please keep up the excellent work!!!!!

My experience with Falls Road Animal Hospital was great for me and for Paxton! His doctor, Dr. Wendell is the best. She is so patient with him and he lets her do whatever she needs to do to him. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Scheduling an appointment is always easy and convenient. As long as they are around, I will never take Paxton to any other animal hospital. The fees for everything are very reasonable also. I recommend Falls Road Animal Hospital very highly!!!

My dog tore her CCL I could not find an appointment anywhere for months falls road got me in immediately.not to mention my dog Marley is very stubborn and would not go inside the vet for her pre-op dr. Fallon and staff came to the parking lot to assess her I have never had a vet accommodate her like that I am changing them to my primary vet immediately they even are helping me with her weight loss goals. I HIGHLY recommend Falls Road Animal hospital

The most quick and efficient yet quality veterinary visit I have ever had. They helped my dog so much and we did not have to experience crazy long wait times.

It was one of the worst days of my life, having to bring my sweet angel to the hospital and finding out that she has terminal liver failure. However, the staff here were the kindest and most supportive people I could have imagined going through this tough time. I am so grateful to them. They took us back immediately. Dr. Barker was so honest and understanding when explaining my options. Jenna, the technician was also extremely helpful and caring. It is clear these people truly love and care for animals.

I took my fur baby to an er clinic in belair, due to excessive vomiting n diarrhea they left her in a kennel for 6 hrs, needless to say I took her to falls road and she was seen and taken care of. Thank u to the staff and vet at falls road. You are the greatest. Cannot say enough. I should have known better, for now on i will completely recommend. Falls road.

Had to make an unexpected visit here with our pet. This is not our normal veterinarian but we got great and thoughtful service from the entire staff. The visit was very expensive (so 4 instead of 5 stars) but it was an emergency visit so, although it was pricey, we got the care we needed and it was worth the money.

Falls Road Animal Hospital is such a great place. I value their knowledge, experience, and skill when I turn my kitty Pantaloon over to them for shots, dental cleanings, etc. They care for her so well! During this Covid reality they've worked out ways where you can receive the same great care while steering clear of social situations that might be problematic. That's not easy to do--but they've done it.

I had to take one of my Golden Doodles in the middle of the night because she was acting a little unusual, don't remember the exact issue. It has been a couple of months, but she was fine. The vet on duty was super, and very caring. This is a wonderful and loving place, thank you to everyone at Falls Road animal Hospital. Sincerely Howard S Deares

Our dog decided to eat a massive amount of ribbons sometime around New Years so we had to take her in New Year's Eve to have surgery. After going to a local vet in the day we transferred her to Falls Road because they have 24 hour care. We didn't have to wait too long to be seen, but once we did only talked with the vet for about 3 minutes total. It was decided (even by the other vet) that surgery was necessary, so we left her there and got her back two mornings later.
So, pros and cons... PROS: Wonderful staff, Good quality care, 24 hour monitoring, Great communication and follow-up, Final cost was very close to low estimate... CONS: Expensive, Time with vet lacking, Won't give full estimate on phone (even though they use an a pre-prescribed estimate with high and low ends when giving you estimate in person.)
Overall I recommend them highly for the care they give, but I don't think that the care would have been worse at the first location and it would have been less expensive. Just be prepared to really examine your bill and don't be scared to ask if something is necessary and WHY it is. I'm not saying to not get your pet quality care or the services they need, but I just like to know what is happening and why.

Had to take my 2 male bunnies here and one unfortunately was so sick he had to be euthanized. Steve was our tech and he was wonderful. So respectful and helpful and made me feel comfortable. I'd say this place definitely had it together and seemed up to date with everything going on with covid.

I really want to give a big thanks for helping my dog Betty White. Its been about 2 weeks and she is back to her normal self! The team at the hospital did an amazing job ensuring she was good and that I had the tools to take care of her at home. I couldn't think you any more!
Regards,
Darien

Falls Road Animal Hospital staff were great. I took my 16 week Spaniel for an emergency. We didn't have an appointment and we were in an out. My Bailey loved the staff. Eveyone was friendly and knowledgeable.

Great experience here. I chose Falls Road to have my dog neutered because my vet does not provide surgery. Falls Road treated us great from clearly outlining fees to providing a organized process. The follow up after the procedure was exceptional as was their handling of an incredibly busy waiting room the next day for pickup...I'm still not sure how they functioned so well with so many animals and people in there at once. No high pressure just well presented options for other services and aftercare. I would also like to add, I read all the reviews before going...I'm unsure the circumstances of some of the negative ones, what I am sure of is I didn't experience any of it. Awesome job Falls Road, if further needs arise we'll be back!

Falls Road Animal Hospital, and Dr. Barker in particular, are INCREDIBLE. My 12lb pup was attacked by a much larger and stronger dog and had multiple very deep puncture wounds as a result. Dr. Barker took her into emergency surgery and patched her up good as new. Our pup recovered quickly and today has no signs of having been attacked. They were so helpful with us, making sure we had all the information we needed at all times. Dr. Barker was so patient in answering all of our questions and regularly checked in on our pup by phone. After our experience with their emergency surgery we've since switched vets so that Falls Road Animal Hospital is now our regular vet - you can feel assured knowing your pet will be given the best care there.

I wanted to give a low score for the cost but I had to realize where I brought my cat was the Emergency Room. I can say the staff was very friendly and the Dr. explain every test and didn't hesitate to listen to my questions and explain the answers where I can could understand. She even called the next day to check on my baby. Thank You to Everyone at Falls Road :)

I have a mixed breed rescue, 5 year old Chanel is afraid of everyone. The staff was kind and patient despite her fear and aggression. I was fearful her experience would set her back again, especially being around strangers and being alone. She did great, and the staff was excellent. Chanel is doing well and a work in process. We all love our pets. I truly appreciated how the office set Covid protocols keeping owners, pets and staff safe. Thank you !

Falls Road Animal Hospital has been our family Vet and pooch-pampering choice for over 25 years. All of our pets have received top notch care and pampering at Falls Road Animal Hospital. If you are looking for a Vet that's committed to healing and providing a space for your pet to enjoy being a pet, give them a try, You won't be disappointed.

They put the care of our pet first! There was a five hour wait which concerned us because our 21 yr old cat, Peapo, became ill one week ago and each day suffered a steady nose dive decline, until today when he could no longer stand. The day before discharge drained from his eyes that dried and hardened so quickly that I was afraid that removing it may rupture his eyes, so I left it. Emaciated and barely breathing that night I slept on the couch with him. At first I craddeling him in a fleece blanket and then laying him on a shearling skin which he seemed to enjoy, pressing his paws and burrying the side of his face into the fur. He wept during the night making the saddest sounds I ever heard from a feline and his suffering needed to end. When the vet assistant looked at him she said that she would take him right in and within 30 minutes from arrival we said our last goodbyes and thanked him for his life with us. The process was explained in detail and they offered all the time we needed. The helped make Peapo's last hours to be as loving and caring as all of his life has been. Thank you FRAH!

I went to another vet and for a year they couldn't find out what's wrong with my dog after spending thousands of dollars. Went to Falls Road's ER, and Dr. Jones found out what's wrong with my dog right away. Thank you.
Kat Potts
Birds are very tricky and once you realize they are sick they are super sick. I was terrified my bird, a Jenday Conure, got seriously ill with some sort of bacterial infection and aspiration pneumonia. They kept him for 3 days and he quickly recovered and is back to his screaming, biting, flying self! I am so grateful for the care they provided. He usually doesn’t like anyone other than my boyfriend and I, and the tech that brought him out had actually made friends with him! I was very impressed and relieved.
Theodore Eucare
I really loved the care that FRAH gave to my cat Charlie. The staff kept me in the loop of the condition, treatment, and post-care of my cat. Very professional. I highly recommend FRAH.
Paige McCrumb
Friendly & knowledgeable. It was my pups first time at the vet for his vaccines and they were very informative and thorough. They knew exactly how to keep the puppy calm and complete checkup tasks quick!

My 13 yr old dachshund has been having bleeding with urination that lasts about a week and this occurs two times a year for a few years. He also developed a lump in his groin and a fat behind. I told his previous vet about this and they did nothing, but antibiotics, bloodwork, and urine tests every year when it happened. This last time he had clots and wasn't feeling well. I took him to Falls Rd and they did an examination which showed he had a perineal hernia. They got us an urgent ultrasound which revealed many more things. He went to surgery in a few days. I was updated about his care consistently. The day of the E.R. visit to the time of discharge. The surgeons called me prior to surgery to let me know what they found on exam, more hernias, and they also called me after the surgery for an extensive update. I trusted them with my baby's life and they did an awesome job. He is feeling so much better. He's a little warrior. I will continue my routine care with Falls Rd from this point on. All of the staff were friendly. I appreciate the docs and techs for taking care of him around the clock.

Falls Road Animal Hospital is the only 24 hour emergency hospital in the area that sees exotics at all hours. When your pet is in trouble you want to get them to the hospital as soon as possible and the other 24 hour emergency hospital by my house turned my pet ferret away. I then drove to Falls Road and they saved my ferret's life!
That made a huge impression on me! I have since started seeking my regular vet care for my pets at Falls Road Animal Hospital. I can come in for my regular pet check-ups, get my pets' vaccines, and get the scripts filled all the same day! Falls Road also is open for regular appointments 7 days a week!
If you haven't given Falls Road Animal Hospital a chance for your basic veterinary care, please do! They are the best in the area for emergencies but they are also the best for basic things as well.
The staff and doctors are great, and for a busy practice I feel that my pets get the attention they deserve!

Falls road animal hospital is by far the best animal hospital in the Baltimore Maryland area... I recently had to take my animal there because she was acting strange and the extremely Knowledged and experienced veterinarians diagnosed her in less than two days with a kidney problem, they then removed one of her kidneys and 5 days later she is back home doing amazing and looking just as happy as she was before. Falls road animal hospital saved my dogs life!
John Moser
This is pretty much the best vet in Maryland. Prices are relatively-low, yet the service is top-notch. The staff is great to work with, the doctors and veterinary technicians are knowledgeable, and service is generally-prompt—excepting that they are an emergency vet and *will* focus on people's injured and dying pets first, a policy with which one cannot find fault.
Arianna Valle
I had to wait a little longer than I would have liked b/c an emergency (injured pup) was brought in. Not the hospitals fault, but should be noted that is a possibility with a hospital / vet combo. I bring my cat here - they are fairly priced, friendly, and clearly adore animals. I recommend them to everyone!
Saul Nachshen
I love you Falls Road Animal Hospital! I don't live in the area but my little furry guy needed immediate help. I can't thank you enough for making sure he came back to me healthy. Everyone at your office understood how panicked and scared I was. During his time there I was not only kept up to date but encouraged to call any time I needed to put my mind at ease. Thank you thank you thank you. I can't recommend y'all enough.
Parvinder Kaur
Dr. Yi was amazing! Honestly, the entire staff including all of the vet techs were very helpful and willing to answer all of my questions. I was able to call in and receive updates very easily, and everyone was just overall super friendly and knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend. I'm considering switching my vet to them!
Dan L.
I had a super experience at Falls Road Animal Hospital. My dog was great from the time I picked him up. The staff that I had the pleasure of dealing with were courteous and friendly. A smile goes a long way and that's what they wore at all times. I would recommend this Animal Hospital without hesitation!
Jacquelyn Schoenbrodt
Dr Reger is Awesome! She genuinely loves her patients. We rescued a 14 year old Schnauzer that came with some health issues. After an emergency visit to Falls Road Animal Hospital, Dr Reger (and many other amazing Falls Road staff) helped us get our Schnauzer back to a healthy and stable little guy. She took the time to answer all of our questions and listen to everyone of our first time dog owner concerns. While we hope to not have to go in for another visit anytime soon, we truly believe that our newest family member will receive the best possible care at Falls Road. We are so grateful to have found this wonderful Animal Hospital!
Vala Schwartz
Not only is the quality of care superb, but the high level of compassionate care makes Fall's Road Animal Hospital the best possible 💙 place for all fur babies. Everyone from the Vets to the Reception staff are just plain awesome. …

I called Falls Road Animal Hospital on a Sunday night with concern about my dog's eye. Turns out she had a corneal ulcer. They were AMAZING to deal with, everyone from the person that took my call to the doctors to the techs, all the way down the line. Falls Rd is not the closest Animal Hospital to me but it was certainly worth the extra minutes to get there. I could not have asked for better service!! Thank you Falls Road!

We started with two Sugar Gliders. One passed away, and the other fell into a lethal state of depression. So, we found her a colony; and a big old heavyweight Glider snuggled right up to her; saving her life. Then, he got into a fight with two males, and lost. Enter Falls Road Animal Hospital. They stitched his wounds; saved him, and now he continues to protect his little girl. I want to single out the staff. These brave folks have been facing down Covid, and winter, and stressed out critters plus their owners. They are committed to their mission, and we all owe them a debt of gratitude. I also want to show some appreciation to Dr. Fortè (hope I'm spelling that right). Maybe she didn't know that she was saving the life of a brave little life-saver named Dabeli.

The vets and vet techs were all very sweet. My kitty, Gus, was seen right away. The vets were very gentle with him even though he was scared. He had come in for digestive issues (I thought he may have eaten one of my hair ties and that he had a blockage in his intestines) but the vet said that he was most likely sensitive to the food we were giving him. I got medicine and special food for him right away and they gave him an IV of fluids just in case he was getting dehydrated.
They really care about their animal patients and it's a relief to know that I can bring him back there any time of day or night if he had an emergency.

We had our dog at another vet that was okay, but couldn't do sonogram. Called FRAH and talked to Dr Barker who said she could do a flash sonogram free, we would just have to pay office visit. Each step they explained our options. They were very compassionate. Our dog was filled with fluids, we got medicine that helped him to get rid of the excess fluid. Within 2 days he felt much better.
Susan Direya
We had a sick guinea pig named Reese. She's feeling so much better now thanks to the wonderful doctor and staff at Falls road animal hospital. Thank you all so much for making our baby well.
Michael Wayman
I've never been to a vet that was more caring about the patients that they see. My puppy broke her back leg one day. I called and took my dog in and she was seen by Dr. Silver. She explained everything to me and took very good care of my dog throughout the whole process. She even called us to check up and answer any questions I had. My puppy is healing well with very little complications and her pain was managed very well. The office staff is reponsive and quickly to help in any way they can. I would highly recommend Falls Road and Dr. Silver. My pups will be seen at this location for all their needs going forward.
Pamala Dishmon
Falls Road Animal Hospital really took care of my pet bird (Dove).. The staff was very attentive and kept me updated on Charlie(my pet Dove) status.
Sending my appreciation to all of the staff especially the doctor on duty.
For the promptness of paying attention to the care of my bird; he has survived to see more years to come.
Thank you all

The entire staff is very courteous, friendly, caring and accommodating in every aspect of their responsibilities. The doctors are kind and gentle with the animals. They show compassion and explain every detail everything. I had to put my dog to sleep due to lymphoma and they made that experience as bearable as possible. I love this place.
Dannene Drummond
I saw the commercial for their low cost neutering. My local vet wanted over $300 to neuter our cat. So I called and easily made an appointment at Falls Road Animal. It was an easy drop off and pick up and I am at least $250 richer because of it. Had no problems and the cat was fine. They didn't try to get me to buy anything extra and I even got a free month of VET insurance (though we never had to use it). If you are looking for low cost neutering, this is a great deal!
Karen Loidl
They really cared about my dog . They saved my dogs life. I have been back twice after that. And I recommend them to everyone.❤️ I also lost a dog and they helped us through that tough time. They even gave us beautiful memorable items of him to . Great place 🥰 …
Jennifer Palmer
I have been taking my animals to Falls Road for decades. They get outstanding care, particularly from their regular vet, Dr. Keisha Hayward. 24/7 availability is key. My only concern is the front desk staff, while very nice and well-meaning, tend to be disorganized and administrative tasks take a long time. As long as my animals do well, however, I can take the extra time.
Tanya Miller
Very nice Vet Hospital for my 12 yr old Fur Daughter Queeny The 🐈⬛ …

The worst decision a pet owner has to make was one I recently made, when to end the life of a buddy, that has been loyal and awesome throughout the years. Our recent decision came on the heels of a cancer diagnosis. Dr Anthony took time from her schedule to explain everything, come back in and reexplain so we could be fully informed. Once having made that decision she guided us through and gave us her full attention, the staff and all that had to follow was taken care of prior to the procedure. Our grief while great at the loss of our beloved dog was made a little more easy by the kindness and compassion shown by everyone we came in contact with that day.
Kevin Webb
Falls Road Animal Hospital is about 25 miles from our home, so we don't use them on a regular basis, but they are the most economical I found on neuters and spays. We had our three cats neutered there and we go there for after-hour/emergency care as well. We find them to be very thorough and caring for our pets.
Laura Pimentel
Very good experience using the Pet ER. My 9 year old Labrador was experiencing pain, lethargy, and difficulty walking. We were immediately greeted on arrival, triaged efficiently, and seen quickly. The vet was very pleasant and professional. She diagnosed my dog with lumbar spine arthritis and disc disease. Chemistries and renal function were checked prior to initiating treatment with carprofen. The discharge instructions were clear and repeated by the tech. A written copy was provided. The price point was reasonable for an emergency visit. I would use this service again.
Marissa Lewis
I had an unfortunate and scary insident with my baby ferret yesterday, this was the only exotic hospital open at 6pm so we rushed up there. While yes I was there from 6:30pm to 9pm I did not care, I was greatful they took her back as soon as I showed up and put her on oxygen until the exotic vet arrived. I've never owned a ferret so I was terrified of her outcome but at 9pm the vet came and assured me her vitals were just fine, she was as fiesty as normal and to monitor her for the next few days since I couldn't afford X-rays. I can't thank the vet staff enough for being so kind to me during this time even though I was complete mess.
Dallas Davenport
Everything went exactly as the vet technician described over the phone. All the staff we spoke with were well informed about the procedure for our puppy and were kind and caring knowing we were somewhat worried about our pet. The information about pricing was up front and matched exactly when it was time to pay. Very happy with the whole experience and we will be using FRAH in the future. Thanks!!
Phuong H. Hoang
Very nice and competent staff. Prices are comparable and often less than other vets I've tried. They have a vet who can also do guinea pigs. Sometimes wait can be long because they also take animals on emergency basis, which is a good thing. But on our last visit there was almost no wait. Would definitely recommend.
Victoria Wynn
MY Yorkie and cat are cared for at Falls Road Animal Hospital. My pets love their vet doctor (Dr. Silver). Not only does she provide excellent care, she tries to find economical ways to lower costs, but still provide adequate care. My pets are part of my family, but as a senior, you can only do so much financially....so take your pets to Falls Road Animal Hospital; you will be very satisfied!
Kinkela Harkins
Very knowledgeable vets that are willing to work with you! They helped out my little dachshund when I took her in as an emergency case and, with their help, she got better very quickly. I would definitely recommend going to this vet. The wait times are long for emergency cases because they have emergencies and scheduled appointments but it is worth it and they do get you in as quickly as they can.
Lisa Christensen
Falls road animal hospital has been and is the greatest place for me and my pets. They are always so kind and loving to all of the animals. And they truly make all efforts to keep everyone happy. The beat thing I ever did for my babies is find this hospital.
Alisha Vecchioni
I recently took in four cats for spay/neuter surgery. Everyone at Falls Road Animal Hospital were extremely helpful and friendly. They set me up with a reasonable price and I am very grateful. I would definitely recommend!
Kim Adams
The Dr and staff were so courteous and took great care of my Louis.
Donna LaLomia
Year old ShihTzu with a blockage. First two ER’s where I called told me 1. 6 to 8 hour wait. 2. only said it’ll be hours and hours. Only Falls Road said bring her we’ll get her seen in under an hour. Anyone who knows dogs knows a blockage can go south in 8 hours. Thank you Falls Road for having compassion. It is where I will be going in the future. Highly professional

Be ready to pay over $500!
Sadly they had to take my baby away here but....
The employees all seemed tired but used to the scenario. There was certain things that should have been described better because it wasnt very understandable from a non vet point of view.
To be a good hospital, there should be payment plans just like humans get payment plans! Our animals are just as important as us and should be able to have a choice at more life the same as we do. I cant rate a hospital without more monetary options as good because it doesnt make animal care accessible to owners. I feel like this place was super over priced but it was nice to have night emergency service.. probably would only come back in emergency....even then i doubt it.
Bethany Fulton
All of the staff is incredibly kind. My dog Maggie loves going to doggie daycare there. They also have excellent and quick emergency vet care. We've been going there since September 2013, and plan on sticking with the facility.
Christopher Beauchamp
Started taking my dog to Falls Road when I lived in the city because of convenience. But when I moved to Harford County I was disappointed with the vets in the area. I still go there for our dogs and feel like their entire staff is incredible knowledgable. Luckily haven't had to use the Pet ER there, but I know where I would take my dog if something terrible happened. Highly recommended!
L Sherman
Clean, organized. They GAVE us a pet carrier to take our cat home in. They told us that we didn't have to bring it back - but we did (for the next person needing one).
Tonya Luster
Recently not great. They have separation between front desk and phone callers and the pharmacy and no one communicates. Conflicting information, problems finding my account, and feels like they are taking all opportunities to upcharge and tack on emergency fees.
Devon Keatts
I was greeted and assisted immediately upon coming in for my cat's appointment. The technician and the vet were both very caring toward my pet and answered all my questions. I am very happy that we chose Falls Road Animal Hospital for our pets!
Courtney
Last month, my dog Nile was hospitalized for a total of 2 weeks after a dog attacked him. He required multiple drains, reconstructive skin surgery and sutures. Dr. Herko was the lead doctor on his case. The staff and doctor took very good care of him and remained patient with me (a very concerned pet parent). Today, he is fully healed. Thank you Falls Road Animal Hospital.
Nick Karsos
The kindness, compassion, and prompt service that was on display today was remarkable. I am highly appreciative of everything they did. From immediate action in the care of my dog to explaining the situation and helping resolve any future issues. It’s never fun having to go to any doctor. The staff here made it barable and comforting. If only I could give more stars.
Chuck Curlett
I have taken my dogs and cats, to Falls Road Animal Hospital for over thirty years. They have wonderful personal. They are warm and friendly and most importantly very professional. They have dealt with minor needs to life threatening issues for our pets. They kept us informed as care was needed and their actions taken were sucessful. My 7 year old Golden Retriever whines with excitement as we approach the building and when I open the car door, jumps out of the car, and sprints to get into the building's front door . Need I say more? FRAH is the best.
Tiffany Mondillo
Thank you.... I can't thank Dr Herko and his team enough for helping my bunny on Thanksgiving Day. I appreciate your time, attention and caring for my little guy. I hadn't been to see you before but had you in my phone as I had heard you were the best for emergencies.... Bonnie is doing AMAZING and as soon as we got home on Thanksgiving evening - he was happy and EATING!! The next morning - back to his happy hoppy self - demanding his nanner slice! Best wishes to you ALL.... Thank you.
Katherine Davis
I took my cat to see Dr Anthony today and she and her tech Julie were really great to us. They treated my cat with compassion and me with kindness and respect...and they were on-time to boot. Next time we need to go to Falls Rd I will request Dr Anthony again. Really pleased--thanks y'all.
Karen Rolfes
I had never been to FRAH before. Our dog had been sick for about a month and visits to our local vet didn’t seem to solve the issues. Everyone from the front desk(Ellie I believe) to our tech Dylan and Dr. Kaeding were very compassionate and thorough and professional. Our dog was diagnosed with Pancreatitis within a fair amount of time in a busy hospital. Cancer of the spleen was also a great possibly. My family decided to euthanize our beloved Boh after 24 hours of treatment......instead of pursuing expensive, non-guarantee, alternatives. This was on July 4th, a holiday. We were treated with compassion and understanding that will always be greatly appreciated.
ANITA B.
I'm thrilled to have a 24 hour vet available for emergencies and I take my dog there for everything. The wait is sometimes long but I like the way they treat my dog and I believe they are experts in their field. They spay and neuter for the lowest price in town (I called 5 different vets).

Okay,
Since this has happened more than once over an extended period of time. Have to give kudos to Mr. Malachi of Falls Road Animal Hospital.
In the past I noticed his exceptional professional acumen and affinity to understand how to communicate information with succinctness. That is applauded.
I hope Falls Road recognizes the members of their staff with this type of ability as it affords you the opportunity to manage the chaos you often have with so many calls and visits.
These incidents where I called started where my confidence and trust was eroding in Falls Road.
Call was going south until Malachi took the phone. I told my self then (at least last a year ago) I was going to write something... I didn't...well...it's clear. He's consistent.
And appreciated.
Our little one isn't better yet...we've spent $x,xxx so far in just 1 week but you know what? It makes a @#$&% of a difference when you have GOOD PEOPLE communicating with you.
Good job Sir!
Morbjørn
They need to up their game if they are going to charge so much. My rat passed away in their care. I asked for him to be cremated and I had to call to ask for them. They claim they left a message but I never got any call or any message. They are very disorganized. Most of the staff are very friendly. They just need more structure in the clinic. Its obvious noone fully understands whats going on. The photos in the waiting room also make me feel uncomfortable. They have the owner of the establishment in every. single. photo. I guess Im so used to Everharts.
Kim Neally
My pets had gastrointestinal issues and had to be rushed to the ER. Falls Road was able to take them right away. They were given the best care. I'm so thankful that this ER is close to home.
Tonie Brown
Very pleased with the care of my animal and the treatment we received when using Falls Road Animal Hospital. The warm treatment of my dog was appreciated along with the genuine concern for his problem. And the cost was not one to break my pocket. Thanks
Blue Oblivion
I had never been here before, but had to come due to my cat needing care on a Saturday, and had a great experience. I was really nervous because they had to take my cat from the car and I couldn't go in with him due to COVID but everyone was very warm and the vet on duty called me to explain everything while she was examining my cat. Thanks so much!
Susan Moriarty
Good place to take a sick animal. Excellent customer service. Compassionate and knowledgable docs and staff. I've tried several bets with my older boxer/bulldog mix and this is the keeper.
Eric Friedman
On New Year's Day, and we had an Emergency situation w/ our family dog. F.R.A.H. was the Only Vet. Clinic in the area willing to assist us. The Staff was Polite, Professional & Instantly Attentive to the issues at hand.
We felt Immediately relieved as we realized our beloved companion was in the very Best of hands.
It's refreshing to know that they, (like good neighbors,) are there & can be depended upon 24/7, to provide Top Quality Service when situations arise.
Thank you all very much.
Sincerely,
Eric

I like Falls Road Animal Hospital. The staff is really friendly, and all the doctors I've seen really care about my cat. I feel good that the same place I go for regular care is open 24 hours. If I have an emergency, they already know about my cat.
River Hansen
This place is incredible for its service and billing practices. I have rats, but I'd go to them for any animal; I previously owned a dog and I wish I'd had such an excellent place at that time to take him to.
Personable and caring staff, very clear instructions for take-home care, and the gold standard of ethical billing practices -- all costs are clearly itemized and explained in a consultation, and there are never any surprise costs post-procedure that were not explained as a possibility beforehand (with the ability to speak up and say "I can't afford that" before it happens). After one procedure, I even had nearly $100 reimbursed to me because the procedure ended up being lower than their minimum estimate!
Some extra points for sending me a card when my rat passed away. The card was hand-written and signed by the main small animal vet and technicians and staff I'd met.
EDIT: they DO tend to overschedule during their rush hour (late afternoon/early evening), mainly because they also act as a hospital, so emergency care will take precedence over appointments. I was unlucky enough to go there once during this time, and other patients told me it was a reoccurring issue. Avoid these times or be willing to wait an hour or more for your appointment! I'm still giving 5 stars because I don't think this is the most important thing to know for deciding a vet, just important to know when scheduling.

I have been coming here since 2012 and have always had great experiences w Veterinarians and the rest of the staff. I also have a guinea pig that I have brought In more than once and she is always handled professionally and has always made full recovery.

Mine is just one person's viewpoint but I''ve never had a negative experience withFalls Road Animal Hospital and I've particularly liked Dr. David Miller's commonsense and practical approach in working with my elderly cat. The cat is a bit anxious when he's boarding and has adapted well to the techs in he boarding dept. I appreciate that we get a Sr. Citizen discount since the cat and I both qualify.

I had to bring my dog into Fall Road Animal Hospital while on vacation and our experience was beyond excellent. We were treated like patients that had been going there for years! I would recommend anyone taking any their animals here. The staff is exceptional, friendly, and so very helpful! 5 stars in my book!

Dr. Barker is excellent and a real humanitarian!
She clearly has great patience and understanding and shows good will to the customer. She is going to become my Veterinarian of choice for my animals!

I have a seven year old Yorkie. She gets her routine care here. She has excellent health and has never had any emergencies. I took her in for what turned out to be an ear infection and the staff was professional and friendly. I have also used the groomer and boarding.

I took my 8 yr old Eclectus parrot there almost two weeks ago. He has had a feather plucking problem for a while and we've seen other vets where we lived before. New to Baltimore I read Falls Road had avian vets on staff. Dr. Anthony was great as were the technicians (sorry, I do not remember their names). We go back on Monday for a follow up but so far Dr. Anthony's diagnosis and treatment is helping. Everyone was courteous and the cost was less than what I had anticipated. Care for exotic birds is not an inexpensive undertaking. I have my fingers crossed that Dr. Anthony is able to continue helping Timmy with his problems. I would recommend this vet. hospital to anyone.

My dog is fine from his nuttering but the wait times are really bad. Pre op took at least 2 hrs. Also picking him up from there took an hour. 1 hour to put a leash on him and walk outside
Edit: Just a 20 to 30 min update on why its takeing so long would improve may rateing

Had an absolute wonderful experience with our bearded dragon's first visit. The staff and vet made us feel very comfortable. We plan on boarding them there as well. Great place!

The service was great all with the exception of when I applied for the Credit Care. The girl (short brown skin) came back to tell me "you were declined, I need to let the doctor know", very loud and rude I might add. Other than that the service was great.

The care at Falls Road was exceptional! Dr. Kelly Zier and the staff on the day and evening that I had to put my belived 19 year old cat to sleep took care of both me and Kitty in the most thoughtful, and medically competent way. I truly appreciate them for the care they gave during this incredibly hard time.

I had a wonderful first impression, the doctors were nice and careful with my bearded dragon and patched his broken arm
They also kept me completely updated on his progress and they answered my every question clearly, and made me feel like they wanted to answer them. So I give them five stars because they gave me excellent service
