The staff was Very friendly and very clean facilities. My usual veterinarian was booked and Greater Atlanta Veterinary Medical Center save the day. They accommodated me with the emergency services that were fast and efficient. The veterinarian was very informative letting me know everything that was going on with my fur baby, Kenzo. Even when I was there it seemed like they had several repeat clients. When I was in the waiting room I also noticed that if anyone has dogs or cats with special dietary needs they have a lot of great quality food available for purchase. I would definitely highly recommend Greater Atlanta Veterinarian Medical Center to help you with any of your veterinary needs. Thank you so much for saving the day!!

As a pet parent & advocate, I’d say one of the best decisions I’ve made was to switch my pup’s care to this practice. With their care & expertise, my dog is recovering from a complicated diabetes diagnosis in ways I didn’t think were possible. In the past, I felt like a neurotic pet parent but the team here never makes me feel over protective and always answers my questions. We may just be one patient group in their large, happy client population, but they make us feel like their only patient group when we are there. My only regret is not knowing about this veterinary medical practice sooner! Thank you all so much!!

Everyone from the front desk, tech crew, Dr.Jory & Dr.Diana are top notch. Communication is key with details and answering owners questions promptly via phone, text and in person during office visits (not waiting multiple days or 10 hours for a call back on something pressing regarding their health that day that came up). My senior dogs have complicated issues which require pivoting. Sometimes weekly/monthly changes in their health which require extra help here and there on med dosages or quick examinations. I also LOVE that days I have to drop them off for testing, they don't keep them all day unless absolutely necessary. I appreciate their patience with my "Golden Girls" Zoey and Gracie! They are my children and their good days are my good days.

This review is WAY overdue. Beginning of August I brought the love of my life here (LONG STORY) and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made for her. Dr. Olson literally saved her life. She has so much compassion and I can’t thank her enough for all that she has done and continues to do. I have now started transitioning all of my fur babies to her and put all trust in her hands. Kiska also used to hate going to the Vet and knew every time we pulled up. Now, the staff there are so nice and inviting, that I don’t hate to fight her to go in for every visit. I feel so fortunate to have found this practice 18 years ago and would never think of going anywhere else even though I could go to a practice much closer to home. I have recommend many people to them over the years. Dr Diana and Dr Jory are tops in their field. Many of the techs have been with the practice for years and are great. Veterinary care is of the highest quality with state of the art equipment.

I have only two vets that I trust. Dr. Katie Day is one of them. Her along with the vet techs saw my girl immediately and addressed all her problems. They went above and beyond. She was having an upset stomach so in addition to addressing that, they also gave probiotics to help with her gut health. The staff explained things to me thoroughly and even multiple times in different ways when I wasn’t understanding or was overly worried. They also went ahead and proactively explained what and when her next few vax/physical would need to be scheduled. I could not have a higher opinion of this clinic!

I have seen both Doctor's with my pets over the last 3 years. This place is great! Both Dr. Jory and Dr. Diana are extremely competent and very good at what they do. My most recent experience was with Dr. Jory. He was extremely thorough and patient. He made sure that i understood exactly what was going on with my dog. Cost is always clear before procedures and there have never been any hidden charges. The staff is very complementary to the clinic - thorough and friendly. Overall my experience at this clinic has been very satisfying and beneficial which is why i make an hour drive to this clinic.

I moved to Marietta in 2018. I was fortunate enough to move close to this wonderful facility. Having worked in the veterinary field for over a decade myself, I know what to look for. This facility has it all. I feel confident when I take my pets to Greater Atlanta Veterinary Medical Group. They are modern and provide the most up to date products. Services are affordable and the staff are always friendly and seem happy to be at work. As an HR professional, this speaks volumes to the way the hospital is run behind the scenes. I would like to give special thanks to Dr. Pate. She gives my puppies all the love! The picture attached is Dr. Pate with my puppies. She keeps me informed while they are in her care and I know she will always make the most informed recommendation for the health of my pets. My dog loves this vet and the people here treat her so well. My first time visiting they completed a surgery that I know saved my cats life after she had an intestinal block. They also did surgery on my cats ear when they discovered a cyst that our previous Dr didn't see. They listen to pet parents and are attentive to detail. Both times she had surgery, she's healed beautifully. I don't even see a mark. I trust them with both of my babies.

Dr. Diana and literally every single person I’ve dealt with at Greater Atlanta Veterinary Clinic have been 150% OUTSTANDING! The level of care and compassion at this office is above and beyond any expectations. Stacy has been the vet tech who’s helped most often during the numerous visits made with my cat as we’ve worked to figure out how to help his severe allergy issues (skin and digestive). She is the sweetest, most loving soul with my frail little guy and I so appreciate her tenderness with him. And Dr. Diana has been indescribably compassionate, caring, patient and understanding as she’s helped move us along the path of determining how best to treat and manage my sweet little one’s condition. I couldn’t recommend this group more highly. They definitely tear everyone - both four-legged and two-legged - like their own family.

They take great care of your pets. But they don't tell you how much things are and do tests you didn't ask for. So at check out you have this huge bill. I went recently for 3 vaccinations to be able to board my dog. They would have been probably around $100. They take my dog and do a fecal test for parasites and a heartworm test, I didn't ask for. At check out it was $266. I will be going elsewhere.

The entire team at GAVMG are absolutely wonderful. I have experienced Dr. Olsen’s and her teams care and love for my dogs for over 15 years. I have always valued and appreciated Dr. Olsen’s knowledge and expertise. My very active first dog ended up with torn knee ligaments a few years apart and she did both extensive surgeries and my dog did amazing and was able to run and play all the way up to the end. The entire team at GAVMG were also there for me when he passed at 10 from a tumor of his spleen and they were heartbroken at his loss as well. Now they continue to provide the same love and care for my second dog. We just had his 5 year annual checkup and again I can’t say enough about their love and care for any animal that steps through their doors. Excellent, caring, and knowledgeable in every way. I know cost is also important as well to many and I have always felt their prices to be reasonable. To me you couldn’t ask for a better team to take care of your furry family member.

Dr. Day was fantastic. She took extra time to ask questions about Una's medical history and response to medications, and ordered a medication for her. She also referred us to a specialist. All of the vet techs were friendly and helpful. We didn't spend time in person with anyone because it is currently curbside care, but I felt very good about the treatment and care given to Una.

GAVM has taken great care of our fur baby the last couple of years. We switched from another vet when she was sick and the previous vet couldn’t diagnose her and so wouldn’t treat her. GAVM wasn’t able to find the ailment either but at least tested her thoroughly and treated her symptoms so that within a few days, she was feeling better! Now we take her there for her shots and her grooming. They send reminders, and are great about getting her scheduled quickly. They make it super easy by letting us drop her off and pick her up rather than making us wait. We highly recommend GAVM!

I love every doctor, tech, and our groomer is incredible. All prices are extremely reasonable and I have no doubt that when I drop my dog off they're going to take great care of him. We started bringing our golden there since his first check up and he's extremely healthy. Every time we have a concern they take perfect care of us. Everyone is very helpful. The tech staff members are very skilled and friendly and are genuinely concerned about my cat. Drs. Jory and Diana Olsen are very knowledgeable, always up to date on the latest care and are dedicated to providing the best care. Front office Karen, Nathan and Penny are always helpful . Greater Atlanta Veterinary Medical Group is a great Vet. My dog was very sick and had taken him to 2 other Vets which could not help him. They were able to fit him and figure out what was wrong. We took our 5 year old boxer here to establish care after moving to the area. I called like 3 other places and struggled to find an appointment but with GAVMG I filled out a form online and they quickly confirmed the saturday appointment i wanted. The whole staff was unbelievable, took their time with us, and Oliver was totally comfortable the entire time. The cost for his annual was pretty standard. I brought my dog in for a blood test and I needed the results first thing in the morning. I explained the situation to Nathan who explained to the doctor my situation. He followed thru the next morning getting me results 5 minutes after they opened. Nathan was extremely timely, accommodating and very nice about the entire situation. This is just an example of the care and compliance this clinic shows to the animals and their owners. The quality of treatment they give to my animals is exemplary and I truly value this clinic.

I have used Greater Atlanta for 2 decades bc they continue to to offer the best care for my all our pets. I run a rescue called Forgotten Paws and they have seen so many of our dogs I have lost count. I found them 25 years ago bc I needed an amazing vet to save a puppy’s life when all over vets told me to put her down. Dr Diana Olsen saved Ellie and she lives 15 healthy years. Since then Dr Diana Olsen and Dr Jory Olsen have saved the lives of so many of our tough cases and continue to help us with our senior sanctuary dogs as they grow elderly and develop health issues. It also says something about them when over half their staff as been working at this clinic for as long as I have been coming. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC and I send everyone I know to them.

Everyone was very friendly and responsive. They gladly came out to my car to get my cats, pay for the services, and brought them back out when done. The vet called me to go over any concerns I had with either cat, and addressed a couple of small questions/issues. Aside from listening to the cats complain during the trip over, within 20-25 minutes both cats were vaccinated, checked over, tags and paperwork provided, brought back out to my car and I was on my way.

I haven't met Dr Jory Olsen in person yet but I LOVE him. He's helping me with a feral kitten I rescued Nov 2019. Dr does not seem to be an alarmist, esp helpful when there is something going on. My visit today wasn't the best (meaning I never have to go back) but it was still good and encouraging. I wish he had an office closer to me but will make any needed trip to see Dr Jory Olsen without a 2nd thought.

Our cavapoo Joey was diagnosed with a heart murmur in November 2019. By end of July 2021, it had progressed to congenital heart failure before we ever recognized symptoms. Over the ensuing five months GAVMG has been with us every step of the way as we went from 2 medications to 3, and then to 5 -- 3 of them 2 or 3 times a day. As we struggled to get the meds into our med-resistant baby, Dr. Diana had us drop him off for several hours' observation not once, but twice, charging us very little for her time. And then there was a separate session with a GAVMG vet tech, who gathered info on Joey's condition and demonstrated for me how to get him to take & swallow the meds -- at no charge for anything but the additional medication we purchased. When we almost had Joey euthanized 2 days before Christmas, Dr. Diana talked with each of us (hubs and me) by phone SEVERAL times as we searched ourselves to determine the right thing to do. Joey made it through the holidays with us, but during that two-week period we had to give up on getting that much medication into him that many times a day: He was not having it. And he was spending most of most days in his "safe places" in our house (under our bed, primarily). Just before New Year's, we scheduled a "quality-of-life evaluation" appointment for 1/4, but since Joey had quit eating his dinners over that holiday weekend and we realized how much he was suffering, we called late morning on 1/3 to ask that we move it up a day. GAVMG was fully booked, but the practice accommodated us -- and the entire staff was aMAZingly compassionate and professional throughout the process. This is a group that cares for your pet, seeks to understand your situation, and is available to guide you whenever you ask. I could not recommend them enough.

I really have to write this review hoping to help other dog parents out there. This place is great! I do not have enough words to explain how great these people are. Our dog was seen by dr Olsen, he was extremely patient and answered all our questions. He did not push any unnecessary procedures just to make money ( like other reviews stated). One night my dog didn’t feel well so I sent them an email before they were open with all the details, the first hour they opened they called me and asked for more details and the front desk people talked to the doctor and they helped me without a charge and they were really really helpful . It feels so good to be able to rely on a place like that when you are so worried about your pet. I was very stressed and worried but they did everything to help me and no charge at all. So they do care about your pet and not only about money, like other people said . They really gained my trust! My dog is almost 9 years old and, unfortunately, we ve seen lots of vets but this one is by far the best place to treat your baby . Wonderful doctor and wonderful wonderful staff!!

I have been taking my dog to Dr. Banner for two years. She helped me with some very difficult behavioral problems and decisions with Felix. She has also been treating my 14 year old cat. I have had wonderful experiences with her each time I visit. She has never pushed procedures or care on either pet that weren't needed and agreed with me that at my cat's age, it's better to go a very minimal route with her in terms of vet visits and unnecessary immunizations when she is an indoor cat and doing so well. There are times when we have a little bit of a wait in their waiting room, but when they are with us and our pets, they never rush and make sure every question and concern has been addressed. It's not unusual at all for Dr. Banner to spend 1/2 the appointment sitting on the floor petting my dog and talking to him. I have no problem waiting to see her because I know she will never rush me or any of her patients. This week, Dr. Banner and her staff exceeded all my expectations. I found two beautiful lab puppies that had been abandoned. They looked as if they had been on their own for quite awhile. They had no tags and I didn't want to just drop them at the shelter without discussing their situation with someone I trusted. I dropped in with no notice or appointment and explained what had happened to Dr. Banner's staff. They came out to my car to look for microchips and found none. One of the dogs refused to walk and a staff member carried her inside. Dr. Banner offered to look them over at no cost and spent 30 minutes checking them out, giving them food and water and discussing options with me. She gave me two leashes and the name and number of the local Lab Rescue and told me that the nearest shelter wouldn't euthanize them if I left my name. Two of her staff members offered to adopt them if they weren't found homes in the shelter and they all treated those dogs with so much love and were so kind to me and my boys. Dr. Banner and her staff clearly love animals - they are unlike any veterinarian I have ever been to. There is no one else I'd rather care for my pets. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We will be lifetime clients.

If I hadn’t brought him in to Dr Olsen, Harry wouldn’t be here. She saved his life. He still has a ways to go, but he wouldn’t be here without her.

Dr. Jory Olsen gave me several quality years with my boy, Wally. I do not believe any other vet could have offered that. First he solved a breathing problem that 4 other vets said was just age related. It wasn't. He fixed it. He also helped slow the progress of dementia. His compassion at the end was also unforgettable. When a situation is more complicated than your average vet can handle or the answers you get dont sit right, get a second opinion from Dr. Olsen. He may have a different approach. UPDATE: Dr. Jory Olsen is now treating my second schnauzer who has Cushings disease and some neurologic issues related to IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) and prior back surgery. I am still just as happy with the care he is receiving. My little guy is a tough case who is really sensitive to medication, and can't tolerate a lot of the normal meds. Dr. Olsen has worked with us to find treatments that work for him. I have always felt that the whole team cares about my furry family members. The vets do, but also the techs who take notes on their condition, the techs who bring them to and from the car, and even the team members who call for updates or who answer my questions when I call. The care is great, but it is the caring that makes the biggest difference.

In 15 minutes they had an answer, in a few hours he was in surgery, and now he's home and well. They are caring, experienced and friendly. They saved my boy.

Honestly, I don't recommend this place AT ALL. They're beyond lucky that they interacted with my partner and not me through the process of getting our 7 month old kitten spayed... Because I would have lost my mind on them. We had a veterans certificate to get our baby spayed and were thrilled that this would be a "free" operation due to prior military service. First off, they will try to charge you for any little thing they can write in. They REFUSED to release her without a cone (they wanted $25) which was my first red flag. I've never had a vet demand that before, ever. I've worked with shelters and had cats spayed in the past too. But alright. We figured it wouldn't hurt to buy our own (they're $11 elsewhere) and bring it in. Then, they administered pain medication BEFORE putting her under anesthesia...which they didn't tell us about (another $12) until pick up. Then after the surgery we got a call from "Becky" saying they recommended a 3 day pain med shot which I initially refused saying we've never had a need in the past. Becky said she couldn't release our cat without it...you know AFTER the surgery has already been done. Eventually after some very rude remarks Becky pays for the shot herself which was very nice of her. (19$) Other than that one instance, the staff was incredibly rude and unfriendly the ENTIRE time, talking down on us for asking questions about what else they were charging us for when this was supposed to be a free operation...aftercare questions etc When my partner picked up our cat, she was forced to wait with very rude staff for an excessive amount of time... Then our baby was discharged, she paid and left. When she got home I was given a paper saying our kitten had scored a 5/10 on her "health check up"...with NO EXPLANATION! If my cat is at 50% health... DO YOU NOT THINK I WOULD NEED TO KNOW WHY?! Nothing. No explanation in the slightest. As far as the procedure goes, I DO NOT recommend them either. Our baby is still going into heat which I read is due to tissue being left behind during a spay... And she hasn't stopped shaking since the procedure...despite being kept plenty warm enough. Everywhere I read says it could be part of the cervix sticking or a reaction to pain medication. The poor thing is going back to a better vet in the morning.

There are not enough words to thank the staff at GAVMG. I came in with my 13 year old dog Gauge in October of 2015, because he had gone from perfectly fine, to very sick. I was upset, distraught, and needed help understanding what was happening to my friend. They ran a lot of diagnostics, some which had been sent away and all the while Gauge was on antibiotics and steroids in the hopes that he had a very curable condition. Unfortunately, a week after treatment, Gauge fell ill again, and worst this time. I brought him in just in time for him to have a seizure. The doctor told me that it was time to say goodbye. So in hysterics I said my goodbyes and held my dog's beautiful face as he left this plane. The staff at GAVMG could not have possibly been kinder, more supportive, and gentler with me as I went through this terrible time as they were. Not only did they send me a very heartfelt card with all of their condolences, but months later I received a gift from the University of Georgia that a monetary gift had been made in Gauge's honor. I cannot possibly thank this hospital enough for all that they have done for me and all that they did for Gauge during his last days. A Google review doesn't seem to cut it, but I hope that if someone is reading this wondering if this is the place to bring their very sick friend to, then my answer is a resounding "yes." They will do everything for your pet, and they will do it with love. Thank you again to the staff and doctors for all you do.
