With advance planning, my pup spent a pleasant overnight stay here while I was attending an event in Asheville. A perfect solution to make my travel easy. I'm a helicopter mom about my pup and I always have to feel he is super safe and cared for. Pet Vet on Patton made me feel he was in safe, caring hands. We have boarded our old girl at Pet Vet on Patton several times and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is extremely friendly and clearly passionate about animals. They are thorough in ensuring that shots and tests are up to date so there isn’t a worry about the health of the animals. They are communicative throughout. The report cards at the end of the stay are fun, and it’s wonderful that the kennel assistants are able to tell us what our dog did while she was there and who she played with. It is clear that the staff is attentive and caring; we gladly trust our pup to Pet Vet on Patton.

I am so happy with my experience at this vet. Everyone was so attentive and kind. They got my cat in quickly during an emergency when I was out of town and had really calm and reassuring communication throughout. His follow up appointments were also great. They also were very considerate about money and being transparent about cost and working with me for what I could handle, which is often not the case. Would absolutely recommend.

I’ve been going to Pet Vet On Patton now pretty much ever since they’ve opened up. Since Dr. Osborne had retired my new veterinarian Dr. P. Was wonderful. I took Winston my big dog in for his physical she was very conscientious checked him over thoroughly and was very clear in explaining things to me. Winston was so afraid and I had a lot of patience with him. I’m very pleased I’m glad she will be our new veterinarian. Doctor Allgood is the surgeon there, she is an excellent excellent surgeon. We had to evacuate due to a hurricane hitting SW FL. The pet boarding staff was accommodating, friendly, understanding and comforting when I called from the road to see if they could help us board our cats. The staff is wonderful in understanding and caring for cats. It was heart warming watching excited dogs run in to the building to attend doggie day care. I had an emergency with my cat, who does NOT like car rides or the pain he was in, and Pet Vet was the only place that was able to schedule him in, despite not being a regular client. They were extremely helpful and patient with my neuroses and especially with my angry little cat. The tech who brought him out to me teasingly referred to him as "spicy", which is apt. Great place, great prices, very accommodating staff. I'm glad to know they're there.

I couldn’t of asked for a better experience! My 14 year old dog had blood in his urine over the weekend. My regular vet is closed on the weekends. I called this office and they were so kind and immediately worked me into their schedule even without us being a registered client. We were very nervous being away from our usual vet, but the staff at Pet Vet were friendly, helpful, and made us feel comfortable. I called on a Saturday morning concerned about my dog's cough, and was given an appointment for the same morning. Extra precautions are taken to prevent the spread of a potentially contagious illness (such as kennel cough). Two very friendly techs ( I wish I remembered their names) came out to the car for my dog's initial assessment, giving me lots of time to describe his symptoms and express my concerns. Then, Dr. Leah Osborne came out and crawled right into the back seat with Gus. She gave him lots of doggy hugs and kisses on the nose as if he were her own pet. Both my dog and I felt immediately at ease thanks Dr. Osborne's calm, gentle approach. The whole exchange from start to finish was unhurried, thorough, professional, and compassionate. I also appreciate the care received from Dr. Allgood at my dog's first appointment and subsequent surgery. I received regular calls during my dog's recovery, and felt like the staff genuinely remembered and cared for Gus. Holly was very sweet and reassuring. I'm so pleased to have found this team of professional and considerate animal lovers for my beloved pooch. Thanks Pet Vet!

Everyone there loves sadie and treats her good. ❤️ we had a bumpy Start when she was having issues with her neck alot of back and forth but Bryan fixed our lil fur baby and I'm forever greatful. Attendants were friendly and seemed to really care about the pets they were entrusted with. I would go there again if I was in Asheville. I didn't like leaving our fur balls overnight with strangers but the attendants made me feel comfortable that they would be looked after with care.

First,, I have to say Dr. Lea Osborne is really THE BEST vet I have ever meet!! I am extremely grateful for her!! She is definitely compassionate,, caring an very good at what she does!! Pet Vet an our community is very lucky to have her!! Anyways,, I have been bringing my 3 cats here since they were first born.. They're 13 months old now.. I've brought them here when one of the girls got pregnant an had kittens.. I've brought them here when they've gotten sick.. Also to be checked after they were spayed.. And just for flea treatment.. I have always been treated with respect and compassion!! Every business in the entire world has it's own few employees who aren't the most polite or who doesn't really do their job to the best of their ability but thankfully,, I myself haven't ever encountered any of them here!! Just like with all other GOOD veterinarians they do cost a bit but they've also worked with me a few different times before by charging me as low as possible in the areas that they were able to do so!! As with everything in life,, you get what you pay for!! At the lower costing places you don't get as much done or as good of products used!! They cut corners so that they are able to charge you less and I myself am glad to know I'm paying to get the best possible care for my pets!! People are quick to say "the price is ridiculous" but think about it,, it costs them to buy the products and equipment to use on your pets and also I doubt you wouldn't charge a dime for any of your own services performed or for your own time or for your own education used!! So why would you expect anybody else to!? Anyways,, Pet Vet On Patton has definitely proven themselves to me to be a great home vet for my VERY loved pets!! I once heard word that they were considering buying the building across the street so that they can have one building for just dogs an the other one for just cats!! I've gotta say I absolutely LOVE that idea!! My cats have never met a dog an the only time they have really heard them is when going to the vet which causes more anxiety on top of all the anxiety they already have from everything involved with having to go to the vet :/ So two separate building would be so incredibly perfect for the pets themselves an it would also mean more species specific care which is more comforting for the pets parents :) ... All in all,, a wonderful place!!!!

I recently took my dog Murphy to the Pet Vet for a much needed check up. Our vet tech Asia and Dr. Paluselli explained every part of the process, from recommended medication and shots to the tests they performed on him. I knew what was going on and WHY the whole time I was there. Their prices are VERY affordable, the staff is helpful and friendly, and I had a wonderful and stress-free experience. We had a wonderful first experience at the Pet Vet! We are new to the area and our dog gets really nervous in vet offices. Both Dr. Stay and their assistant (I wish I could remember their name!) were so understanding and knew just what to do! I also had the opportunity to speak to Dr. Stay about a wide-range of questions I had about caring by my dog and they patiently answered all my questions while giving such good care to my pup. I felt very comfortable and impressed with the level of care, and my pup was wagging her tail and feeling much more comfortable at the end. I thought I was adopting a 10 year old dog and we would just have him a few years. Well, 9 years later, I still have him. And the Pet Vet on Patton has continued to provide us with budget friendly options for us as Henry ages. They take plenty of time to hear our concerns. They've also provided free, over-the-phone advice that addressed his diarrhea (very helpful!). A few years ago, due to a freak accident at the dog park, Henry had a fracture in his jaw (he got his mouth stuck under another dog's collar). The Pet Vet on Patton recommended that we not do surgery but just take antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and wait it out. My dog healed up just fine! I also received follow up phone calls from the doctor to check in and see how he was doing. All in all, I think this is a great vet office. they have provided us with compassionate care and budget friendly options along the lifespan of my dog.

3 dogs and a cat with this practice. Had everything from “happy tail” to abscess glands, ripped toe nails..even had a tumor removed from our senior dogs’ mouth/lip and doc did a fantastic job removing it and doing the plastic surgery repair. I love their hours and availability/flexibility. Very responsive and caring staff I have experienced. I do think the exam fee is kinda steep personally, prob my only complaint thus far.

Super friendly staff, my Beetle bug had his first vet visit and left the happiest pup! There was an issue in billing where we were overcharged, but when it was brought to their attention they were apologetic and kind as soon as it was addressed. Pet Vet got our dog in same day without extra cost when she was having bloody stool - they listened with care & were very knowledgeable they had us in & out in about 35 mins with a treatment plan that didn’t break the bank & I’m happy to say after a rough 36 hours my baby is finally on the mend (thank goodness!) No one wants to visit the vet in such a dire circumstance & is often worried about cost but Pet Vet took care of our baby first & foremost & we will be coming back for future pet needs for our others now too!

My baby girl Gucci is 8yrs old, we've been coming here for give or take 4 or so years, ice never had any problems with them they are absolutely WONDERFUL! The prices are not too bad, they give the beat advice and treatment I could ever ask for my baby girl.. espicallt when she had a unexplainable reaction and was in so much pain and they gave her steroids and antibiotics and within 3 days I saw my girl come back to life!!! It's like they took away 4 years from her age she plays everyday now non stop it's adorable she's as hyper as ever and so loving and playful she always has been to the max! But whatever they did, they bring the puppy back into my girl! I can't get enough of watching it everyday! Thank you to the pet get for healing my precious muffin and continuing the ongoing care we do w irh you all!! You're a wonderful welcoming animal loving vet! Sage does not mind seeing the vet. It's the whole atmosphere of the staff and vet. When I talk to her doctor she knows everything about pass visit. Just like Sage is the only patient that she has. She explains everything. It's easy to understand what she is telling me and she really wants you to understand. I never feel rushed or feel like we're being rushed out the door. I feel comfortable that Sage is as important to her as too me.

I think Agnes enjoyed herself. The staff member I spoke with, Lindsay, was professional and nice. When I picked up Agnes, our Cairn Terrier, after her first time at doggie daycare, she seemed relaxed, happy, tired enough but also not bedraggled and exhausted. Funnily enough, a neighbor later told me of happening to drive by, looking up, and seeing Agnes outside playing in the daycare area! We will definitely bring Agnes there again. I take my dogter there for daycare, and both dogs for vet services. Pet Vet on Patton helps me maintain my babies' health and happiness, and for this I am infinitely grateful! There was a time while my dog was still a puppy (back in 2014/2015) and he got very ill. They helped me out by having a tech there late night that got him on an IV and held him in their care until the vet arrived the next morning. They helped me avoid much higher vet bills at the emergency clinics, and took excellent care. He's 7 years old now and their care has definitely facilitated that over the years.

Our little puppy was sick. Our regular (nearby neighborhood) vet was already closed on Saturday afternoon. We found on Google that Pet Vet on Patton was open on Saturday afternoon for emergency care, which our dog needed. The vet was very professional and discussed with us her diagnosis of our puppy’s condition and the tests that she thought were required based on her preliminary diagnosis. She discussed the nature of the tests (x-rays, ultrasound) and their cost before we gave her our consent and she proceeded. She subsequently gave us the results of the tests, she prescribed and provided certain medicines (antibiotics, probiotics), and scheduled a follow up visit and checkup a week later. Next to my child's pediatrician, I cannot think of a professional more important to me than my animal's vet. This weekend we were worried that my older dog was going to have to be put down. We called in the morning and were given a fast appointment time. The tech who met us at the car was loving and thoughtful. She even thought to remind us of her name as she carried our dog inside.(Thanks Michelle! That made a real difference to us!) She took time to answer even the smallest questions. We're new to town and needed a vet for our 4-year old Labrador Retriever. She had a growth between her toes. I was able to get an appointment without much delay, and I was impressed with their Covid procedures for check-in and consultation. Unfortunately, I missed the personal interaction that I normally have with a vet. We tried a non-invasive treatment plan to begin with, but when that didn't resolve the issue, I agreed to a surgical procedure. The procedure went smoothly, and was below estimated cost. She has healed without issue, and two weeks post-surgery finds her resuming normal activity.

The parking lot is difficult to get in and out of when they're busy especially with the COVID restrictions and all of the people and pets now in the parking lot. Employees were nice and treated my dog kindly. I gave 3 stars because of all of the up selling that they do there and the pricing is very high compared with other vets in the area. Also, on the very first visit to establish care we asked about our dog's nails and if they needed to be cut. We were told no,, they were fine. Less than 2 weeks later we are at the animal hospital with a nail broken before the quick.

We have a dog who is terrified of going to the vet, and while this was somewhat manageable when we could accompany him inside, now with new (entirely reasonable and well-orchestrated) COVID precautions the terror is twice as bad without one of his people there. The wonderful people here at Pet Vet worked extra hard to make him comfortable and always take very good care of him. They also are very responsive to questions and concerns and if they don't have an answer about something, will often call us a few days after our appointment to follow up. Dr. Paluselli is incredible. I took my cat in with what we thought was an eye injury. This was after spending money at the Emergency Vet and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her eye. Dr. Paluselli ran a few tests, and diagnosed my cat with a ruptured ear drum, which was causing damage to her eye. Her and her team were so kind and gentle to my scared/injured fur baby. First I'd like to say that the Dr. that helped diagnose my cat when he suddenly became ill was amazing. Probably my favorite veterinarian I've taken a pet to. She was super gentle and caring, and she took all the right steps in diagnosis and explained everything very clearly to me. I could tell she was managing her team really well, too, by the way the vet techs were helping me out under her guidelines. My kitty's condition was sadly incurable and the whole team was there to help give us a peaceful goodbye when it was time to put him down. I'm very grateful for the humanity and care they showed us <3 I did have two issues with the business as a whole, however, which I think it would be worth noting for anyone looking to bring their cats in. First, the whole place was incredibly noisy from all the dogs being boarded for daycare. I couldn't even hear myself think in there with all the dogs barking in the play yard. I could tell it stressed my cat out a lot whenever I had to take him in (and it stressed me out too). I would recommend this place for dogs but not for cats who aren't used to dogs barking incessantly. Second, I had asked for a copy of my cat's prescription for Revolution so I could order it from an online pharmacy and they denied it to me. I had to purchase through Pet Vet at their higher prices. I hope they change this policy--I just took my other kitty to a different vet and they handed me the prescription no questions asked and only then did I realize what Pet Vet did was not cool. My cat's prescription should be mine to do as I please with.

There are a number of things we love about Pet Vet on Patton. First there is the doggy day care and boarding. Our Golden Retriever, Storm, loves attending day care. He also loves his groomer Christina, so much so that when we pull into the parking lot he is so excited to see his friends. The vet techs are very well trained, informative, upbeat, and caring. Most importantly each vet is so competent, thoughtful and trustworthy. Recently, our new puppy, Koda Bear, choked or had a seizure and almost died. The Pet Vet's our go-to vet. We've been using them for years and every visit's always been pet-focused and informative. They've also adapted wonderfully to the pandemic, using no-contact car service. I have three pets and have had positive experiences there except for my last visit. I had to take my kitten back for his booster shot. When the tech came out, she told me that he was also scheduled for an exam. I said he’d just had an exam a couple weeks earlier. Her response was “well, it’s on the schedule”. I had to stress that I didn’t feel like I should have to pay for an exam, given that I just did. Her second response was that “they hadn’t seen him enough yet”. I mean, he’s a kitten and I’ve only had him for about six weeks so far. She then went back inside and didn’t come back out for about 20 minutes, then begrudgingly took him inside. Back out another 20 minutes later and charged me just over $20, but acted like she was doing me a favor. It was just an odd interaction that left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

We love the Pet Vet on Patton. Our rescue dog, Miles, has had some issues since we adopted him. We have utilized the Pet Vet for boarding, doggie daycare, and vet visits as well. Most recently, we had a behavior appointment with a fill in Doctor, Dr. Emery. He was very positive, pointed out our dog's good traits and gave us several options to try in working with our dog's behaviors and tendencies. He and the techs were very kind and reassuring. Also, Candy, the lady who runs day care sat in on our appointment and was very helpful and reassuring as well. We appreciate the insight and methods suggested by the Pet Vet staff. The behaviorist we'd been meeting with (outside of Pet Vet) suggested it was the end of the line and that we should give up on our dog. The Pet Vet made us realize that there is more that we can try and let us know that we were not alone. We got several print outs about dog behaviors, interactions with humans. Candy even showed us methods for working with our dog in letting him know when his behavior is unacceptable during this appointment. The staff is also amazing. Every time I go in, I am greeted warmly and always have a positive interaction with staff. I appreciate that they take the time to ask how I'm doing, how the dog is, and also to report anything they notice in his behaviors or interactions. I can't say enough good about the Pet Vet on Patton. The facility is beautiful and the staff is top notch, professional and very caring. Thank you for all you do!

I have felt good about the quality of service from all the team members for all of my animal friends and their different needs. I will continue to bring them in to be seen there for the foreseeable future. My only feedback would be that sometimes I have gotten slightly different or conflicting bits of information about one of my animals' care depending on who I talk to (vet vs. vet tech vs. receptionist). This has been easy to clear up by asking additional questions, but it would be helpful if there was a way they could streamline information and updated care plans. I'm still happy enough with the service and care that this has not deterred me from continuing to bring my animals there.

Pet Vet On Patton has cared for, now 2, of my dogs. We lost our sweet English Bulldog Winston at age 9, and they were SO compassionate, humane and helpful from beginning to end. They came to my home, and helped me. In the moment naturally it was so sad, but incredibly heart felt and sweet of them. We now have a feisty, sometimes grumpy little guy named Hogan Eugene....he sometimes to like to taste his friends, but he loves everyone and means well. I began to send him to doggy day care, because he had more energy than I knew what to do with. It was brought to my attention that he didn't necessarily LOVE being in day care, but we knew he needed it. Candy and her team of doggy day care staff, got together a plan to slowly try and integrate him so he wasn't so scared and was more comfortable. Her staff went above and beyond to work with him, and ensure he was safe, and felt safe. They are trained, and really know what they're doing. When I pick him up every day, he is WORN OUT! When we get home, its all he can do to walk into the house and get up on the couch to snooze! Their customer service is UNMATCHED, and I truly would recommend them 100 times over. The greatest part is when you drop them off for day care, they can do grooming, and when you pick them up their so soft and clean! They are SO friendly, kind, and beyond accommodating with anything I need. They keep track of their vaccines, and let you know when your pet is due...SUPER HELPFUL! Friends with high regard for this place recommended we give them a call, so I called on a Saturday, my dog was evaluated on Monday, and the surgery was set for the following week. My 8 year old cat had become very sick -not eating, in pain, and losing weight. I took her to Pet Vet and they did tests and made a tentative diagnosis. After getting further results, Dr. Sthay call to give me the bad news. Glory was very sick and could require very expensive and extensive procedures, which, in the end, might now help. Dr. Sthay was very kind and explained everything extensively, My husband and I talked it over and slept on it. We decided that since Glory was very frightened by leaving the house and being treated(she just doesn't like to leave the house) we chose euthanasa. We chose our time, we were lead to a comfortable private room to spend our last time with Glory. When we were ready, the final does was administered and Glory peacefully died in my arms. The whole procedure was handled very lovingly.

We brought our kitten here for routine vaccines and spay and our kitten had a really rough reaction to the incision. Dr. Allgood took great care of our kitty, but her assistant did not offer an e collar which caused a whole bunch of complications. It was when Maverick passed with heart failure due to old age that the relationship between The Pet Vet on Patton and I became even closer. This was my first experience with losing a pet and I had no idea what to do. They calmly and lovingly talked me through the process and greeted us with open arms on such a tough morning. As the grieving process played out, a special delivery as made...ceramic paw prints from Maverick so we could remember him forever. This is our second visit to Pet Vets on Patton. We operate a Schipperke breed preservation program and have used this clinic twice, after searching for a new vet in the area because the services of our last vet was sub-par for our standards and needs. This place did a great thing for me and my cat. I showed up first thing in the morning, they took my cat in so I could go to work. Within 1 hour they called me with their preliminary exam, made some reccomendations (specifically telling me what the possible steps were, and outlining which they recommended as being the most important). I took their advice and went with the first suggestion. The test showed what was likely going on with my cat, and they also mentioned another condition that was unrelated, but I should be aware of. After 3 days (the amount of time they suspected before I would start seeing results) they called to check on her progress. She was doing better, and they said we would keep watching her. A day or two later, my cat was back to her normal self. I felt taken care of, that the price of the services I received were more than fair, and that they really cared about my cats healthcare. I'm super thankful for your help. I hope I don't need to visit again, but if I do - I'll do it without hesitation.

I'm writing this review based on the experience yesterday I had with my cat. I noticed that my cat's eyelid was puffy and irritated. I called Pet Vet and they were able to get me in on the same afternoon, which was great. The staff was welcoming and friendly, but almost immediately I felt that this place was extremely dog-centric and not the right vet for my cat. The lobby was noisy with lots of dogs, loud talking, slamming doors, and general hustle. My cat was already stressed, so I felt even worse that it was so hectic. By comparison, our vet that we left in Oakland always felt very quiet and peaceful. All the rooms were full, so they put us in the "couch room" - basically a break room. I didn't have a problem with that per se, but since they left the door open, it remained noisy and their house cat kept wandering in. I love cats and think it's great they have a clinic cat, but my cat gets really upset by the presence of other cats. Despite the fact that fortunately my cat was still in his carrier and they did not notice each other, I thought it was strange that they would not consider that all their patients might not appreciate this. The dog barking from the boarding downstairs was constant and audible through the whole visit - again, stressful for a cat. The vet tech was very kind, but the doctor's bedside manner was just ok - she never sat down once, which gave off the vibe of being rushed. Their prices were very reasonable, but it seems like they might be accomplishing that with a large volume of clients and the speed that they put them through. One last slightly irritating thing was the man working on a table saw directly outside their door, so that when I exited with my cat, the sound of a table saw was what bid us farewell. Overall, I felt that I got reasonably good care, but they could and should take steps to make their atmosphere calmer, quieter and more welcoming to cats.

Pet Vet On Patton is a nice clinic. They are not overly busy. Front desk is professional and always staffed by at least two. Note that they also kennel pets, which can make it noisy but no more so than a typical animal shelter. I dealt with Dr. Chris Meyer for regular checkups and medical problems. Used to go to north asheville animal vet on merrimon. Great facility but it's more impersonal and super expensive. The vet on Patton is not like that at all, this place is great! Dr. King was absolutely wonderful with my kitty Noah who has diabetes mellitus. This is the only animal hospital in all of Asheville you need to go to. Read my other reviews. It's frightening. Only go here or you will regret it. A very pleasant staff who are extremely helpful and knowledgable, friendly and clean. Definitely has a sense of sophistication. They don't order unnecessary tests and give excellent medical advice. I was so pleased and left feeling secure and well received. Dr. King was amazing and her medical tech Amie as well. You don't feel pressured or rushed. They don't charge for test that are not necessary and give excellent medical advice. They treat you with utmost respect. I was very impressed and feel that I now have a great animal hospital to take my Noah to. A very happy camper. I highly recommend this animal hospital to everyone here in Asheville. Don't go anywhere else or you will regret it as I have in the past. Amen
