First time visit & had the best experience!! Didn’t feel rushed & Dr. Schneider was genuinely concerned about our Stevie. Her & her assistant took wonderful care of her. Dr. Schneider even sat down on the floor with Stevie, since she was more comfortable there. Couldn’t ask for better care! Will be bringing my other pets in when needed. Thank you again!

One of the best vet experiences we’ve ever had! The doctors and staff go out of their way to make sure every pet and owner feels comfortable and safe - taking extra time at the beginning of the visit to welcome your pets with ample treats and love before getting started with anything that could be scary to them. Dr. Schneider was very kind and thorough with her exam and explanations. Compassionate care and fair prices. I truly can’t say enough good things about this clinic! Highly recommend!

No Place Like Home... left during COVID-19 due to long scheduling times. Should have waited. Don't get me wrong other vet was great, skilled, kind, caring but EXPENSIVE. During uncertain times it's good to back with Open Door. They are also great, skilled and very, very caring but understand I'm not made of money. Gave me affordable options for treatment for my wounded cat.Good folks. And yep, the cat is on the mend without my wallet being raided.

I LOVE THIS VET!!!!!! Dr Bayler is the freaking best, as is all the staff I have ever interacted with here. I've been bringing my 3 dachshunds here for a year and am glad I made the switch. All the vets here have been amazing, but my boys had a bunch of teeth removed and were struggling, but Dr Bayler checked in on them frequently, even on the weekend, to make sure they were okay. The prices here are hard to beat, but the service is so amazing that I won't take my little ones anywhere else. Thank you, Open Door!!

I took my Senior dog there for a basic checkup and consultation for caring for and elderly pet. Everyone was soo friendly and Dr. Burns helped ease our mind about this transition of our sweet girls life. VERY. Reasonable. Other places I’ve paid over $300 for the same service. They were very gentle and kind with our baby girl and she left the office smiling and wagging. Glad we finally found a great place for our fur babies

Amazing patient vet! My cat is skittish around strangers, they were so patient with her. When they came in the room they sat on the floor with her and tried to gain her trust while doing the exam and feeding her treats! They made it as least stressful for her as possible. Love this vet! Prices are very reasonable too!

First time visit. Great experience! The vet tech and the vet were both awesome. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants great care for their pet and don't need to spend arm and a leg doing it. I will definitely be going back there.

Wonderful doctors and personel.....they get down onto the floor and sit and examine our pets! Our dogs love them....even when they take blood. Would like to see lower prices, but that is my only negative. Most of the $700 we pay is for 6 months of outrageous medicine costs from drug companies Merck (bravecto, heartworm) and ceca (flea and tick).

Amazing! Above and beyond and absolutely making a difference with furry babies everywhere in our area! Dr. Paritte and her staff are so understanding and thoughtful with everything they do. Brittney K is who we had the pleasure of working with, she was so kind to put together information on non-profits in the area to help with the cost and options for the care of our 15 year old baby. And I must say, the pricing for ALL the services they provide, not just what we were doing, but everything else as well, are MORE than reasonable. I would feel very good about returning if ever needed in the future. Thank you to Dr. Paritte and entire staff for everything you did for OC and everything you will continue to do in our community!!

Kind, caring, professional staff with fair and affordable pricing. The veterinarian and the technician were incredibly patient with my little poodle. They performed his examination in a gentle and noninvasive manor, with lots of treats and scratches. My dog is receiving the best medical care and I don't have to worry about over-paying. This office is FANTASTIC! The most positive experience I have ever had with a vet. My normally very rambunctious kitty woke up one morning acting lethargic & refused to eat, which naturally caused me concern. Open Door worked me into the schedule same day to have her seen. I was impressed with their Covid procedures & how quickly they got my kitty in & out. Very affordable & there were no surprise costs. Dr. Simmons was awesome & didn’t run any expensive unnecessary tests, & helped me decide on the best treatment options. They even sent me pics of my cat hiding in the office cabinets! Every staff member I interacted with was a superstar & I appreciate the calls to check up on my cat a couple of days later. Individualized care you won’t get at other offices. Keep up the great work!

They saved our kitten Lady. We took her to a mobile clinic to be spayed and they messed up her stitches. The wound came open as was badly infected. My daughter was panicking. The vets and staff really go above and beyond. They are very prompt about returning phone calls and answering any questions you may have. They interact with the animals prior to doing anything and try to comfort them. I've been troubleshooting some stomach issues with my cat and they have been extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

Best vet visit ever!.. we moved from closer to SC and my daughter's vets were never personable. Dr Schneider was so sweet.. first time I've ever seen a vet sit on the floor and examine an animal on their level. Answered my hundred new puppy mom questions. Vet tech and ladies at the front desk were super friendly to me and my puppy!

They love your pet! They sit in the floor and interact with your pet so your pet feels safe and has less anxiety.. a huge difference for my loved dog!! They also really listen to what you say and answer your questions until you run out of questions!! My dog doesn't shiver when he goes to the vet visit anymore !

We love open door vet for all of our fur babies. I don't like dropping off any of my fur babies, but open door vet makes me feel comfortable in doing so. Although we have only been with them for a year (since covid began), we have (unfortunately-due to sick visits) had several (all) visits that were handled very well, and safe for all involved! They certainly are booming and stay busy from open to after close and in-between. As hard as this staff works, I wish I could gift them with double the staff and space so they aren't sounding like they are in such an exhausted hurry when I have called in the past towards the end of day (Certainly, I didn't help the cause by also calling 15 min before close). They are incredibly friendly, helpful, wonderful people doing wonderful work helping pet owners out by offering great pet care at an affordable price. And for that I am very much grateful!! 🐾🐾

I took my dog to see them . She is a senior dog and has developed some issues. I was really impressed with how they were handling the covid situation and I was also extremely impressed with the care that they gave my dog . I was given antibiotics for my little dog and told what was wrong with her. I was expecting an extremely large bill and was pleasantly surprised when I received the invoice. This is a really good veterinarian office with good people to care for your dogs and they are the most reasonably priced in this area. I have a total of five dogs and I will be taking all of them there when and if needed.

Everyone here is awesome! They are great with all of the animals and truly love our best friends and their jobs. I felt very comfortable gong the 1st time...(of course this was before covid-19) But the nurses were great and are smiling and loving their jobs. These people are amazing. My little dog Tanner swallowed a foreign object last week that became lodged in his intestines. He was in severe pain and needed emergency surgery asap. My own vet wouldn't even answer their phone so I just google searched local vets and this one popped up. I called and they immediately worked him in, mind you he wasn't even a patient there. They saved his life. He has had some complications due to age and infection and they have kept him and have been very communicative with me the entire time. Their price is also reasonable, especially compared to what I would have paid at Medvet. If you are thinking about trying a new veterinary office I highly recommend Open Door!

🖤🐾Please go here, I highly recommend🐾🖤 We had an emergency with our dog and even though they were fully booked they made room. We than had an issue come up and got there maybe 40-60 minutes late. (Not even having a chance to call or anything to say we was gonna be late.(Please don’t ever do this to a vet office, we had no other choice!)) I felt so bad but when we walked in that door we were still greeted with smiling friendly faces. We were still seen very quickly. The prices are exceptional, the staff is splendid, and the place is so clean and quaint. I will recommend this to everyone and anyone I can. I would love to make this my regular vet. ❤️ ...On a more serious note... ....We ended up having to put our four-legged family member down.....This is of course the hardest part of loving a pet, and I’m so blessed that this place was recommended to us. I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else. I sadly have forgotten the vets name during this but she was wonderful. She talked us through all of the options available and gave us plenty of time and privacy to grief even tho, as I said, they were completely booked. Now, when I say this vet cared. I mean it with all my heart. I have seen my friends dog get put down (NOT BY THESE PEOPLE!) and the vet mainly talked about how much everything that they did cost. How the iv cost this and meds cost this a huge list, while my friend was visibly distraught sobbing while hugging her passing dog, after getting the news he wasn’t gonna be able to be saved. Here, there was nothing but compassion and kind words to help and she even seemed to get upset herself as she talked and even thanked us for making the right choice.

I recently took my cat here for a dental cleaning and she ended up having to have her four remaining teeth removed. They vet staff were so kind a caring and treated my cat like a queen. Open Door was also the only place I could have afforded to have dental work like this done. Forever grateful!

When I took my cat about a year ago, they were super friendly and the cost was great. However the pills they prescribed for him made him have some sort of reaction so we had to stop. But I think my main concern at the moment is that we may have to bring him in for a different issue, but after reading the negative reviews, I've noticed a pattern; they always say "We don't have an account under your name" and all the usual contact us, sorry, blah blah blah. So I'm like umm, so anyone who leaves an honest negative review is magically not in your system? That's convenient for multiple "liars". So kinda worried to even go back now if they don't take responsibility...

First time I went I was absolutely over joyed to discover the issues that my sweet baby has, however I spent over an hour and a half waiting in my car for any kind of help, even with them knowing my girl is super anxiety prone/car sick (I mentioned this to them countless amounts of times.) The second time I went, I waited almost 2 hours for a shot that they didn't even end up administering. I had to take it home & do it myself (which would've been fine if they would've let me keep my super frantic girl home but they insisted she had to come). Just expect to wait for freaking ever if you go through them.

I'll take my pets here as long as they are open! These young ladies made me and my dogs right at home. Not crazy fancy, but that's not important to me, the docs and techs act as if they are caring for their own pets...this means a lot to me! My dog had surgery and I felt the price was completely fair and the care is unmatched. Don't pay to much for a fancy office and padding pockets unless you want to. I definitely recommend Open Door to any pet owner.

I only gave Open Door a 5 star rating because an 11 star rating wasn't an option. Open Door is a practice that is fueled by compassion for their patients. I'm a Cat person and all 4 of my cats are purebred and have papers... And all of those papers say "RESCUED" and they are purebred CATS of some sort (although I have one that might have a bit of dog in him... Not sure). Open Door takes care of the pets of people like me that probably couldn't afford Veterinary care for ALL of the occasions when they need it... But thanks to Open Door pets can get the care they need and I can still afford to feed the family. No animal should suffer because we can't afford to get them medical treatment and Open Door accepts vouchers from the Humane Society and probably other Organizations as well to help your pet and your wallet. I could write for days about how great Open Door is but my best endorsement is this: The second time I took my cat there, they remembered my cats name, but not mine. I knew at that moment that we had found our Vet.

We have a full house (3 cats & 2 dogs) whether someone isn't feeling well or we are just there for vaccinations the front desk staff, techs, and doctors are all very friendly and truly care about our babies. Dr Bayer is wonderful with her animal clients and their people. She is a calming presence and gave my canine companions a thorough annual exam. From the annual exams, prescribed med, and dental procedures, the bill was stunningly reasonable. Had been with another Vet practice and struggled to pay for the most basic care since the visit inevitably ended up costing more with "needed" add ons and I was made to feel that I didn't care enough when I requested less expensive alternatives. Dr Bayer's staff is friendly and welcoming. This practice reminds me of the good old days when I had small town Vet care for my companions and wasn't pushed to have high tech diagnostic services for treatment. Highly recommend.

We were able to catch one of the local community cats around the house. We took the cat there for a wellness check and to get vaccines. The staff there treated the community cat, were able to safely handle a feral cat and they were very understanding. Great place.

They have very reasonable rates will help you stay within your budget for your pets medical, surgical and dental needs. Just by choosing them as your veterinarian you are helping pets in need because they donate a portion of their revenue to our Stay Together Fund. That fund decreases the chance of pets not receiving care, being surrendered to an animal shelter or euthanized when families experience unexpected veterinary medical costs and can’t afford care. All funds are used at Open Door Veterinary Care Clinic. So with all that said - I highly recommend them and love what they are doing in & for the community!!!! ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️

I needed a rabis shot for my cat, as I am moving and it's required. They had a special room for cats, so the barking dogs don't stress them out. They didn't want me to be with my cat when the shot happened but I insisted... They let me go in with her. It's a very clean place and for $15, I got her the shot she needed.

My boyfriend and I brought our puppy here for his first vet visit and the vets and vet techs were some of the kindest, most caring people we have ever met! They treated our dog like he was their own and held him and gave him treats while he was getting his shots. I’m so grateful for them! The sweet vet techs gave us meds for his monthly heartworm treatment, one for flea and tick prevention, and then his rabies vaccination tag and gave him treats when we were leaving. When I was waiting at the front desk for my boyfriend to come back in from getting his wallet, the lady at the front asked me to hand the medication and tag back to her and she would keep it until I could post payment - she said I could have it all back when I paid for it. I guess that’s normal? When my boyfriend came back to the desk he asked if the vet was still available because he’d forgotten to ask her a question about our puppy’s skin irritation. We were told that the vet was obviously busy and with another patient, but we could google it.... okay. It was just strange, everyone else was so so so incredibly nice.
