I love Palmer vet clinic, the staff and doctors there always take excellent care of me and my dogs, they always make me feel like my dogs care is a priority, and I know Angela has gone above and beyond to get us taken care of on short notice when I’m worried about an issue. My dogs are a huge part of my life and I never have had such positive experiences with any other vet clinic. I really appreciate having them on our team. Dr. Vanpelt and Dr. Campbell both are excellent vet’s who take the time to listen, observe, run tests when needed, and provide thorough follow up explanations, I have never found another clinic that has the whole package like they do, we won’t go anywhere else unless it’s an emergency and we have to. We appreciate you all!

I love this vet clinic! We’ve taken all our pets here since we moved to Palmer in 2005. In 2006 we had an elderly dog pass away while he was staying the night there for observation (not their fault at all, he was very old) and they made it very easy for my family to process. We still have the paw print they gave us for free and his tuft of fur. I was 5 then, I’m 22 now and have my own dogs and cats. My German Sheppard is afraid of other dogs and is very excitable, they always make me and my pets feel welcome despite the challenges. I love this place❤️ Thanks for being a really great clinic!

I’ve had medical issues pop up for all three of my dogs in the past year…teeth cleaning for one, mass removal for another, and arthritis for the third. The vets and their techs have treated all three of my dogs with kindness and care! I firmly believe in staying attuned to my dogs reaction when I bring them in, they’ve been happy and engaging with everyone they’ve seen. They especially like Dr. Goss. :) There are two reasons why I’m giving four stars instead of five. One: as wonderful as the vets and techs are I don’t get the same feeling from the front desk staff. They’ve been lax in terms of delivering messages to/from the vets and techs, taking time for personal conversations amongst themselves rather than helping patients in the waiting room. My second reason is that as good as they have been with regular, routine appointments, I’ve not received the same care and responsiveness when it comes to critical care and emergencies. I called today explaining that one of my dogs is in pain and exhibiting signs of lameness and was told by the front desk that the soonest I could get an appointment was the middle of next week, with no suggestions on an alternative route. Bottom line: they’ve been great as long as it isn’t an emergency. Make sure you have a list of emergency vets to use other than this one.

The Plamer Vet clinic is all around amazing. I used to have sled dogs, and would take my team there to get their shots. To make things easier for me, I would do a mass bring in. The staff did quick work to ensure my dogs were properly taken care of. Now I just bring my two dogs and kitten there. Even though I no longer have a kennel, they still treat me with a lot of respect and treat my animals well.

I really like Dr Goss. He is great with my large dogs. He listened to me when I explained the issues my dogs were having and came up with a straightforward treatment plan. I am very picky about vets, and I will continue to drive from Anchorage to see Dr Goss. It seems hardly any vets in Anchorage are taking new clients, and the ones that are are booked out for a month. Palmer vet was able to get me in quickly and address both of my dogs issues.

Palmer vet clinic is absolutely amazing. Back in November I found out my cat had pyometra, we had taken her to the vet ER in Anchorage and were quoted $4000 for the surgery, which was not within our budget at the time, Palmer vet clinic got us in the very next morning and was able to do the surgery that day costing us less the half of what we were quoted at the ER. Because of the wonderful visit and coordination with my cats health, I also wanted to get my dog in here. I had been taking him to VCA in Anchorage and non of my concerns were addressed very well, just medication sent home to use each time. (I had brought him there for 3 visits in total each with specific concerns and non of my questions were answered and there was not a specific diagnosis just medicine sent home in hopes it would work.) I decided to have my dog seen for a second opinion after visiting VCA, Dr. Campbell and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing, they were able to take a sample from the boil on his ear which was our most recent concern (which VCA stated they were unable to do because of him having anxiety and stating he needed to be sedated) as well as to have his skin evaluated since he is always scratching and pulling out fur. Dr. Campbell received the results from the sample and we found out that it is a benign tumor and should go away on it’s own in a few weeks, she also gave us medication to take home for a double ear infection! (VCA told me it was only one ear) as well as finding out that my dogs itching and losing fur was possibly from allergies and not anxiety as I was told before. We decided to get an allergy shot for him to help with itching and were recommended hypoallergenic food since that could be what he is having a reaction too. All of my questions and concerns were answered in detail. My animals as well as myself were way more comfortable at this clinic then any other we have been to before. Overall this place is absolutely amazing and I will continue to drive from Anchorage to Palmer to have my animals seen here. Thank you so much Palmer Vet Clinic!!

We had our first and sadly last visit with our 12 yr old Blue Heeler Jake last Thursday Oct. 15 2020. Due to Covid we weren't able to go to our old vet as they were only doing "curbside" (we didn't feel comfortable leaving our aging dog with a handler, as she was very and scared of vets). So after asking friends we were directed to the Palmer Vet Clinic. Our dog was very sick and we sadly had to put her down. But the vet/techs/ and even the receptionist were so so very kind and understanding, you never appreciate that kindness until you need it most. I will always have the highest respect for this facility and I am thankful they helped my husband and I during the most difficult choice of our life. Thank you for the dignity you offered our puppers and the gracious way you treat Pet parents and animals alike.

We LOVE the staff here. They are so professional, catering and smart. They provide excellent care and clearly explain everything in addition to taking adequate time for questions. We had the unfortunate task of having to put our beloved dog to sleep. We loved her dearly and it is an awful decision to have to make. That is where Palmer Vet Clinic comes in to make an otherwise horrendous decision to make and turn it into a very special and meaningful time with family and the dear pet that we had to say goodbye to. PVC took this very seriously and showed some amazing care in giving us time in the special room to say our goodbyes and she was even given a final special treat. This vet clinic is a step above all the rest in their care and the atmosphere is not one of hurry up so we can get to the next patient. They are very understanding and if that's not enough, their prices beat all the others in town! The dog that we do have left will be going to Palmer Vet Clinic from now on so that he can get the best possible care. Thank you all for making that experience yesterday memorable and special.

You can tell a good business by how full the waiting room is, Palmer Veterinary Clinic is no exception. I came in with no appointment and was helped very quickly with a minimum wait. The staff was fantastic showing care and concern with my little dog as they did with the other pets that were there. Dr Williams, was a true professional with a good attitude.After the evaluation, he sat down and explained my dogs condition in laymen's terms so I could understand exactly the issues my pup had. The previous vet I had taken my dog to in Anchorage, explained very little and presented me with a huge bill. Here it was just the opposite. Dr Williams gave me better information and incite on exactly what was going on, the options I had along with a much better prognosis which was not as grim as once thought with my visit to an Anchorage Vet. Seldom do you find a business that really seems to care, are professional and does not inflate the price. Palmer Veterinary Clinic will now be the only place I will take my pets. We had a great experience at PVC with our pup. My children loved it! My middle child is very curious and loves learning, so she asked if she could watch the surgery. They said no, but that they would try to take pictures for her. When we came to take our girl home, they had printed out a sheet of paper with three labeled pictures of her getting spayed! She loved it! We also loved seeing the friendly office cats, Boss, and Catrick Swayze.

I highly reccomend this clinic. Dr. Campbell is highly knowledgable and it is clear that she has a deep love for animals. In veterinary medicine, it's the people that make things difficult, not the animals. When I look at some of the reviews, it's clear that people don't think before they sit down to write a review of someones business and their subsequent livlihood. This clinic and staff is particularly good with the needs of aging dogs and genuinely seem to want the best for each pet. The clinic has new and updated equipment and are continually making efforts to update and maintain an excellent standard of care for this long-standing iconic Palmer clinic.

My dog broke a foot running besides a 4 wheeler( dont ever let a dog do this btw, they cut over in a flash) . Two diff vets treated him before here. We left first after they tripled the cost to 1100 just to put a splint on. No surgery, nothing, just 2 x rays and office visit were 400. We left with his broken foot dangling and $400 gone. Next one was good and set the splint, but wanted 250 PER SPLINT CHANGE, every 5 days. Yikes right? Couldnt afford it, so we tried to do it ourselves as long as we could, but after 6 weeks he needed to be cleaned and checked. Enter Palmer Vet clinic. This place was so nice to us. They not only didnt scream at me, ( vet no. 2) but were actually kind...humane to us, such a plesant surprise after almost traumatic experience from the others. Their prices are so reasonable even a lower income person can afford it here. A splint change is under 30 and they discount return treatment to 32...( total apx 60 vs 250 at vet #2). The way they wrapped his foot was so soft yet firm, totally the opposite of the other vet, who didnt use any cast packing, but just gauze and was too tight yet not soft enough so open sores resulted. So then antibiotics had to happen. Makes him feel sick, like he needed that on top of everything else. The other vet placed the splint on the side letting his foot flex with every step. Here it was under the foot keeping it immobile always. And he was not in pain after bc he was treated with gentle touch unlike other vet which totally rebroke foot when they changed the splint by rough handling. He was in so much pain for days after. Palmer vet said to cage him for just 2 weeks to let the microtears heal. The other said take him on a short nature walk! Different vets can take such different approaches resulting in a world of difference in healing. Everything at Palmer Vet is totally opposite of vet 2 : they use newer ( best) veterinary techniques available vs outdated techniques. (Who doesnt use cast packing under a cast? -Old vets). These ppl are kind,, knowledgable and affordable -a winning combination. Im just so grateful, words cant even express. There needs to be 6 stars for rare places like this...off the scales awsome IMHO.

When my dog got attacked by a much larger dog, I called ahead and they were able to fit me in as a walk-in emergency. They took good care of my dog by cleaning wounds, inserting drains, and giving him sufficient pain medication and antibiotics.
