We got off to a bit of a rough start with some scheduling issues, but once out on the water we had a fantastic time. Jerry was professional, friendly and easy to talk to. The trip was a very relaxing and much needed escape from everyday chaos and stress.

Jerry is a fantastic host and captain. He is fun and he is insightful. We had a great cruise tour with him and learned so much about each others cultural background and values and how those values unites us here in this country. He is full of historical information about the locations on both sides of the Potomac river which allows his guests learning new stuff while having the most fun of their time. We would definitely do these cruises again and again with him and his crew. We had the time of our lives on this cruise. Thanks Jerry.

We loved this speed boat tour of the Potomac River with Jerry! Jerry is very invested in ensuring the ride is fun and he makes sure to go past iconic DC spots (as well as less well-known areas on the river). We also felt safe and comfortable. Highly recommended for both locals and tourists!

Captain Jerry is super nice, professional, and a fabulous guide. We had so much fun seeing DC from a different perspective on the Cortina. The boat is comfortable and small enough to fit into areas that the large tourist boats can't go. This personalized experience was so much better than siting on a big crowded boat.The boat is both kid and dog friendly. Jerry provides PFDs for adults and kids (although we brought our own for our daughter). If you want to bring a dog (I think it is <50 lbs), make sure to buy a PFD for your pup from the store before you go. We will definitely do another tour soon and try the sailboat as well. Highly recommended!

GREAT EXPERIENCE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The Potomac was beautiful this time of year! It could get a bit breezy, but I was prepared and it was very comfortable with the right amount of layers. I got some amazing photos. Jerry was very friendly and professional. The boat felt safe and had life jackets as expected. The whole experience was just so much fun. I highly recommend booking with Jerry. I can't wait to do this again!

One of the most enjoyable afternoons I have spent on the water. I took three of my children and not only did they have the time of their lives but they learned so much. Jerry was patient and attentive to the children and brought drinks for them, he even gave them his coat to wear when one got splashed He answered all their silly questions. I have been on the big charter cruises plenty of times but nothing compares to the unique tailored experience of having your own private captain and boat!

Reflections DC is truly a gem that I would recommend to any other couple looking for a date night or adventurer looking to get their kick on the water. I first came across Reflections DC through a simple Google search of 'sunset cruises in DC' as I wanted to plan a cute date night with my fiance on the water. When I found it, I was drawn more toward the personalized experience Jerry and his company emphasized, unlike a few of the other DC river cruise companies that offer similar experiences, but only treat you as a number. I booked our reservation and we were scheduled for a ride on the Cortina, Jerry's 17 foot skiff I believe, (sorry Jerry, I'm still learning the terminogy)! While we were a few minutes late, Jerry was completely accommodating and allowed for us to take our time to get settled. He is also really friendly, kind, personable, and knows boating and the water really well. Any grizzled seaman would be honored to ride with him! We putted off and headed toward Old Town Alexandria where we got to see the old US Naval Research Laboratory, the torpedo factory, other points of interest, as well as many other boats on the water. Jerry offers a few selections of spirits and bottled water that is perfect for the ride too. Next we headed up toward DC and the sunset was gorgeous! It was a cloudless evening. Jerry was an awesome guide on the river and there were even spots in DC I hadn't known about until now. My fiance and I were able to bring sushi on board and have a sunset picnic. DC was always meant to be seen coming up the Potomac rather than across it by car, which is what the planners of the city believed when creating it back in the 1700s, so it's definitely worth seeing that different approach. After the sun went down, Jerry brought us back to Gravelly Point and we got to hear a jet from DCA take off right above us. Really just all around cool experience! Thank you Jerry! Hope to book you again sometime!

If you're looking to have a great time on DC waters this is definitely the place for you. Although I was nervous (due to this being my first boating experience), Jerry made sure we were all prepared and safe throughout the tour. The boat is comfortable and has enough room for a small group of friends or family. We went sightseeing for a bit and even stopped by Georgetown to grab a bite which was enjoyable! There was even a bluetooth speaker so we could play some music during our mini trip! Jerry definitely kept us entertained and was an amazing host. I would recommend this service to anyone who's looking to have a good time for a great price in the DMV area! You won't regret it.

Jerry loves what he does and it shows! He is very responsive via email, and kept in touch with me prior to our scheduled day due to bad weather predictions, and promptly rescheduled our tour for a better day. He is extremely personable and knowledgable about the area and my husband and I truly enjoyed our time on his boat. We took amazing pics because Jerry makes sure to catch all the views and overall, we had a lovely time. I highly recommend.

My wife and I had a great time on our boat tour with Jerry. It was fascinating to experience the DMV from the water. It's hard to place everything while driving the tangled web of highways that surround the river, but from the peaceful river, it starts to make a little more sense. Jerry is knowledgeable of the area and was a great guide. There are many points of interest and photo opportunities. Having the whole boat and experience to ourselves, rather than being crammed into seats with a bunch of strangers, added immense value to this experience. The Cortina is big enough that you feel stable and safe but small enough to really enjoy the experience of being on the water. We could see the cherry trees just starting to blossom all along the river bank, which was beautiful. I can only imagine how beautiful it will look one they are in full bloom! I enthusiastically recommend this experience.

Sure the National Mall is amazing, but if you're looking for a fun and different way to experience our nation's capital I highly recommend a boat tour with Reflections DC, an enjoyable way to see the sights from a unique perspective while avoiding crowds and traffic.. and think of all the awesome selfies you'll take! The boat is a comfortable size whether you're on your own or with a group and the panoramic views make for an extra special date excursion, too! Captain Jerry is an excellent host and takes every precaution to assure a fun, safe journey. I felt completely at ease and even lost track of time during my mini-trip soaking up all the beautiful views.. and WOW there's nothing like sunset on the water.. such a great way to see DC and relax! We honestly had a great time on our river boat tour with Reflections DC. I won a raffle months ago for a free boat cruise and Jerry was happy for us to finally redeem the prize. Jerry was very professional and really used his boating knowledge to keep us and other boaters safe while navigating the waterways. We enjoyed the little history lessons along the way and loved seeing the city from the river. We really cant express how much we enjoyed the river cruise and 100% suggest booking with Reflections DC.

Unfortunately we were unable to go on our boat trip because of the weather- twice! Captain Jerry was a pleasure to communicate with and was flexible as well. I find his business to be ethical and committed to safety. For business owners it can be difficult to make choices about when to cancel services, and I think anyone who does maintain their safety policies and take it seriously deserves five stars for that alone. Though I can't speak to the actual on the water experience our interactions were wonderful and I can recommend based on that. Thanks Jerry, we will try again next year!

The sunset cruise was a great experience and it was really cool to see the monuments at night from the water. The boat was easy to find and Jerry was communicative and flexible as we had some weather concerns leading up to the ride. Would recommend to locals and tourists!

I scheduled a boat tour for my birthday. Jerry helped me with the booking and sent me information on what to expect for the day along with my invoice. Jerry is great at communicating with his guests; he messaged me about the weather (storms were in the forecast) the day before and gave me the choice to reschedule if the storms rolled in during our time slot. We were able to get on the water that morning since the weather was beautiful. Also, since we both arrived early to the marina, Jerry allowed us to begin our tour a little earlier than scheduled. He gave us info about the sights in DC and even stopped for a photo. We even got to see the planes flight into Reagan National. If you want, you can bring food on the boat to snack on during your two hour tour; there were also complimentary drinks provided by Jerry. In summary, it was a wonderful experience on a beautiful day. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Jerry. In fact, we’re considering taking a tour on his sail boat soon.
