This sunset tour was well worth the money! Crew was friendly and the sunset was amazing. Great information about Tampa area history. Family friendly and low key so if you want a drinking tour this isn't for you.

Tampa Bay Fun Boat was very awesome experience. The Captain was very knowledgeable, he gave us history of tampa bay and the Davis Island. It was very easy to book the tickets online and it's very affordable. Kids are welcome too. It's an 1hr boat ride. We didn't see any Dolphins though:( Only thing which was very stressful was parking. The suggested garage was closed due to some event. We had a very hard time finding another garage closer to River Walk:-(

Boat location is nearby the convention center and other restaurants. On the ride, I was able to see some dolphins, take plenty of pictures, and learn about the city and beautiful houses. The hour length felt just right. I would recommend this trip to any one of my friends. Bring your own beer, a jacket, and enjoy the views! Thank you guys for an awesome time.

We enjoyed the sunset boat trip. Only thing we thought was little on-and-off was the process of taking the top off. We were right by the edge so maybe different seats since it was not chaotic. We captured great pictures throughout the boat ride, especially towards the end of the tour.

I hate to even leave this review because this is the best kept secret in Tampa! What a great time to see the fireworks! We were so fortunate to find this gem before it sold out. Our Captain was knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, professional and a great driver. I will do this again next year.

Such a fun experience! The tour guide was friendly and knew so much about Tampa. I took the sunset tour and I’m glad I did because everything looked so much prettier at night. For $18, it’s not a bad deal! Didn’t get to see dolphins but saw other wildlife. Perfect for families and couples. You can also bring your own beverages on the boat.

My friends took my girlfriend & I on this sunset boat ride this past Saturday and we had a great time. The captain & his assistant were spectacular. They were very polite and helpful. They played great tunes and the boat ride was smooth. The sunset view & pictures were also amazing. They also gave us a wonderful history lesson about the Tampa Bay Area that I previously did not know, and I’ve lived here for my whole life. I will definitely be coming back and telling friends.

Pleasantly surprised! Looking for a fun little adventure to finalize our trip to Tampa for the weekend we chose Tampa Bay Fun Boat. The cost was low so our expectations were also. However we were all surprised at how great the experience was. The captain and his deckhand obviously know the history of the town well. They are very informative, took time for us to see a few dolphins in the bay and made the trip well worth every penny and then some! We really enjoyed our trip around the bay and the knowledge gained. 5 stars is the max but I’d give them a 10 if I could. Highly recommend!

Tampa Bay Fun Boat is a nice affordable boat tour that is kid friendly and fun for the whole family. My kids and wife had their first boat experience with Captain D. He is extremely kind and very welcoming. We went through the Seddon Channel and Hillsborough Bay. The Captain shares history of the area, as a real estate junkie, I loved the information he shared. We were lucky too, we saw DOLPHINS! Dolphin sightings are not guaranteed though. Enjoyed the experience, a very relaxing chill day.

It was a great experience, our guide was very knowledgeable on the surrounding area we saw. Our young children enjoyed the boat ride, and our tour guide even turned the boat to try and help the little ones see the dolphins. Kids liked that, and as a parent I appreciate the help with that. We have already talked about doing the tour again the next time we visit Tampa.

Tampa Bay is a nice city but not fun or a pretty city. It is more of a business district but if you go 20 Miles out to Clearwater and St. Petersburg then there is the beach and better nightlife

Went on a day tour with some family from out of town including 3 kiddos and they all had a blast! Booking was easy and very affordable! The captain was extremely knowledgeable, very kind and funny! Smooth ride, good views, good music, and good vibes all around! Will have to go on the sunset cruise next time!

I surprised my husband with a sunset boat ride on his birthday. We had an amazing time! Our captain was great! We listened to music and watched the sun set! Our captain also showed us some celebrity houses and shared some history of Tampa! It was overall a fantastic time. I highly recommend.

We chartered a private tour for a team event. Everything went perfectly! The boat was on time, there was plenty of room, there are large coolers you can use, and the captain was very knowledgeable & friendly. We were able to get a group photo at the perfect time at sunset. Everyone had a great time and wants to do this again next year.

The Captain was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the houses and taught us alot of cool facts about dolphins! It was super enjoyable! You can bring food and drinks on board as well. I recommend being there 30-40min in advance and take time to find parking:)

Go for the sunset boat ride! Super fun and you get to see the city at night right after the sun sets. A good price too for what you're getting. Not a super big boat so it wasn't too crowded. A very chill atmosphere and you get to request whatever song the captain plays. Sunset boat rides are one of my favorite things to do so this was a great way to end of my trip in Florida. Sunsets during the summer are the best, super rich in colors with mixtures of pink and red tones. What's a better way to see the sunset than sailing across the water.

We took the sunset tour with Capt. Darryl And Kevin. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable. They offered blankets for those who needed it and bottle of water for free. We drive The Fun Boat and we love it! The sunset cruises are the best kept secret. Dolphins are typical and they have bottled water and a cover to get out of the heat. The views are beautiful! Did you know you can charter the whole boat (35 passenger max)? Bring drinks, food, cocktails, etc. Great for sightseeing, spending time with friends, and learning more about Tampa Bay!

Lots of boat tours out there, this one has to be the best, and likely one of the longest, as he takes you down Hillsborough bay, and back up the river (not just an out-and-back) Will likely take this one again if in area next time!

Great experience! We’ve done this sunset cruise twice with various visitors and would do it again! They also include a short journey up the Hillsborough River. Narration through out the journey with lots of interesting facts both past and present. You can bring you own beverages and snacks and it’s approximately 1hr, so it makes for a quick and easy way to see the bay and the river. Highly recommend! PS bring a jacket, it can get cool and windy depending on the day.

The Tampa Bay Fun Boat experience was excellent! I booked a group tour for some of my students at the University of Tampa. Booking was easy and they even agreed to pick us up from the UT docks for convenience. Darryl was very knowledgeable and provided the students with a history of the area and some other fun facts. I absolutely loved it, it was inexpensive and my little toddler rode free because she’s 2! Really enjoyed this boat ride so much. The captain and first mate both knew so much information about the area as were happy to share it with us. The ride goes on for an hour but feels much shorter as it is so interesting. They also play music when they aren’t talking, which I thought was really cool. We were able to take cocktails onto the boat as well! I highly recommend doing this boat ride. It was really reasonably priced too!!

Fun way to spend a little time. Boat left on time and was clean and spacious. Guide was knowledgeable of area. Gave little history and fun fact information while pointing out some of the houses of the rich and famous. You can bring drinks or snacks. This is a fun thing to do for anyone, Date night, first date, family activity, out of town guests or just to do something different that doesn’t cost a lot of money or take up a lot of time. This isn’t mandatory but you should do it for those who may not know, when doing activities like this it is customary to tip the crew. Let me repeat this, Tip the crew.

My husband daughter and I loved it. We seen million dollar homes, dolphins and just overall loved being on the water. They even had soft music playing. Next time we are going to do the sun set tour! My only gripe about the tour was there should be an age limit the first 5 min we had a child next to us who was crying and screaming and that made it difficult to hear at 1st.

I just recently did this sunset boat tour for the second time, and I loved it! It’s casual, fun, and BYOB. The crew tells you fun facts about Tampa and it feels super great out on the bay. I would absolutely recommend for a great sunset view and for having some wine or beers with friends any night of the week!

Really enjoyed my experience with Tampa Bay Boat fun. It was my first time in Tampa. We arrived 2 min after the scheduled departure time but luckily some thunder clouds were rolling through so the trip was slightly delayed. Until the clouds passed, the captain slowed for us to grab a drink at a nearby bar to bring into the boat. We set sail and had a wonderful your from the captain of Henderson bay and the luxurious housing. Cherry on top was the captain taking song requests. Would definitely recommend!

I went on the Fun Boat for my birthday and I'm glad I did. I had such a blast! Each guest is allowed to bring alcohol on the boat with them and the captain plays fun, upbeat music during the time that he isn't showing you around. I loved seeing all of the celebrity houses and learning about Tampa Bay. It's also very reasonably priced. My boyfriend and I had an awesome time.

I've lived in Tampa for a few years now, and when we had some friends in town we were looking for an affordable way to get them in the water, and especially in the downtown and Hillsborough River area. We made the correct decision in purchasing tickets on the Tampa Bay Fun Boat. Learning the history of downtown Tampa, all the while enjoying some BYOB and great music was just the perfect mix for a great time. The captain and crew were friendly, fun and knowledgeable and even though I live here, I'll be back on for more rides whenever we have friends visiting.

This was a spur of the moment venture. We walked around Tampa Riverwalk the night before and saw the advertisement for a dolphin tour and decided to stop by and check it out the following day. This is an hour long tour. The Captain and the deck hand were super friendly and knowledgeable. They explained what we were looking at and seeing as we approached each of interest. They provided bottle water kept in a cooler which was really nice. Very open about music choice, the boat was not overcrowded and comfortable as everyone was free to walk around. Very exceptional service for the price -- I will be going again and will tell friends and family.

Great boat great times and great prices! I am not a big fan of going out on boats but I was talked into taking this trip with Captain Darryl and I'm so glad I did. You can tell this captain and crew know what they're doing. This was just a regular sightseeing boat trip along Tampa Bay not the dolphin sightseeing tour but we saw Dolphins anyway about 5 minutes into our trip. They followed us for a good while. I've seen them from the bridge of course while driving but there's nothing like seeing them right next to you. There was a whole pod of them right there. Everybody was offered complimentary drinks and snacks and if you want to bring your own 'refreshments' that is permitted as well. You can probably put about 20-30 people on that boat no problem. I'm told they do corporate events and sunset cruises as well. Highly recommended!

I am not one to leave reviews, but there was no way I am going to pass this up! A group of 30 of us celebrated my birthday this past weekend with Tampa fun boat, and it was an unbelievable experience. Captain Darrel and the deck hand Rafael were nothing but great, and attentive to every single one of us. They let you have a good time while they took care of everything. I can’t say one bad thing 10/10 recommended, we will back for sure!

When I called the Tampa Bay Fun Boat Company, I was greeted by Shannon who was super nice in helping me arrange to get 21 senior ladies on the taxi. She was more than accommodating in answering all my questions to ensure it was handicap accessible and very safe for the ladies. Once we reached the dock, the Captain and his deckhand were very helpful in assisting all the ladies on the boat. They both were very knowledgeable about the history of Tampa, Davis Island, the University if Tampa, etc. They made the trip very interesting. In addition, the weather cooperated with us as well that day and made our experience on the water taxi fantastic . I highly recommend theTampa Fun Boat water taxi. Thank you Captain Daryl and Chris!

Good experience, and you'll leave knowing more about Tampa Bay. The tour guide (Captain) was very knowledgeable about the houses in the bay, the McDill Airforce Base (which you cannot get near) and the history of the bay area in general. We were also lucky enough to have 3 dolphins show up and stay with the boat for most of the ride. Worth the money!!

My experience was truly amazing . This was my first time ever getting on a boat and being able to see the sunset . The captain was amazing and very knowledgeable about the Tampa area . I had a glimpse of a dolphin which was just a breathtaking experience . Sidenote. I arrived late to the boat since I am on spring break and Daryll waited for me until I got there . I was not familiar with the area and his wife gave me over the phone directions on how to get there . I thank you so much for a great experience .

Took the boat tour 10 days ago. Had a GREAT time mostly because of Captain Darrel. He is very personable and makes all feel welcome and happy to be on his ship. Even with his relaxed and friendly demeanour, at no time did I feel that he did not have my safety as the utmost of his priorities. At one point I lost my hat due to the wind and unhesitatingly he wheeled that boat around to retrieve my errant chapeau. He did not have to do that and yet he did. Darrel also moved the boat about for us to catch a better glimpse of dolphins at play. Once again, he did not have to do that, yet, he does his best to ensure his guests have a memorable time. BTW...I saw more and better views of dolphins with Darrel than I did when I paid MUCH more at the Tampa Aquarium ( and saw none.) Darrel also has a terrific recipe for a rum punch that he willingly shares. I unfortunately, forgot the recipe, so, I suppose I have no choice but to go back for another tour. Ohhh it is good!!! Rum Punch aside, this is a highly recommended tour. I wrote the same recommendation on Trip Advisor.

We chartered Tampa Bay Fun Boat for my husband's birthday. We had 31 guests and provided food and drinks...TBFB provided great music, fun facts about the area. We have a great sunset, perfect weather and the Christmas trees and lights this time of year are a bonus! Great tour for a Holiday party or Chrustmas party. We chartered for 2 hours but extended another hour. All of our friends and family of all ahes had a blast..already booking for next year!

We were in Tampa for a corporate meeting and we’re looking for a last minute boat trip for a group of 7. Found Tampa Bay Fun Boat and saw it had a bunch of good reviews and the price was definitely right. We showed up early to rock and we’re greeted by the captain and got a good spot on the front of the boat. It was BYOB so we came equipped with cooler. It was a great tour — pointed out some of the luxury homes right on the water and they were really engaging with guests. Everyone on the team was really happy with the experience — highly recommend as a good value option!
