A truly beautiful experience on a nice day such as the one I had on my trip. The kayaking was great, not too strenuous and even the young in the group were able to handle it. Our guide Henry did an amazing job and kept everyone safe and on track. Being able to explore the fort was a wonderful experience and there was plenty of time. From the history, to the architecture, to the construction I couldn't get enough. I think this was about the perfect duration for the average tourist, but I'll be back for more! This was my first experience with ocean kayaks and I'm in love! Unbelievable value for what I paid in my opinion. Booking was a breeze online and confirmed instantly. They have sunscreen available if you forget yours. I'm always hungry and brought snacks, but I should have brought a sandwich. A small dry bag is provided and you could easily fit a lunch, your phone, wallet, and light weight rain jacket in. Don't forget to tip your guides!

The view was beautiful driving to the preparation area. The guide was fabulous. He was former military. He gave a great safety talk before the trip and made every effort to learn the names of rowers. We were lucky enough to see some wild life including 2 seals. While rowing is nice exercise, I wasn’t exhausted after this venture & feel the novice label was appropriate. Some in our group did have difficulty steering the kayak on the way back. I would recommend staying in the same formation if using a tandem kayak as you are fitted for the pedal action. The tour of the fort was a bit long but a welcomed break to stand up, stretch legs and learn a little local history. Once again, our guide pointed out safety issues-so appreciated. Definitely- take water!! sun screen-sun screen-sun screen! Water shoes are the best options. The winds were very calm on the day of our exertion, not sure I would have loved huge waves. I would easily use this company again & feel the bay offered more interesting sights than some other options

Our sea kayaking trip with Portland Paddle was an absolute pleasure. Our guide Alonzo was very experienced and great to paddle with. My partner has never kayaked before and was super nervous being in the water (let alone the sea), so having a helpful and charismatic guide like Alonzo definitely eased any concerns for the new paddlers in the group. He assisted a tour through Fort Gorges and was very knowledgeable in his facts and information. This trip was easily the highlight of our vacation and I'll certainly recommend Portland Paddle to anyone I know traveling to the area.

We did the sunset kayak option when we visited. The weather was perfect and the two guides were both friendly as well as were educational about the area/waters. We were lucky enough to see the seals and one even followed us for a short while. I didn't expect the experience to be as long as it was, which was both good so we could get our money worth but also meant we were tired by the end of it. Overall, if the weather is warm enough and you have the opportunity - the sunset kayak is definitely worth it.

Great time paddling out to the fort and exploring it! Felt like we had enough time to see most of the fort and the paddling wasn't too strenuous. My first time in a tandem ocean kayak and it is much stabler than my calm water single.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time at Portland Paddle! The guides were very informative and provided proper gear so we felt super safe (life jacket, wet bag, bilge pump, etc.)! The scenery is beautiful, you can even kayak (within allowable perimeters) to a small island and rest there if you feel you need a little break! Overall, 10/10, would recommend!

We did the sunset tour on a fairly calm evening. Our guide, Tall, was incredibly friendly and made all of the instructions very easy. She put even the more nervous folks in our group at ease. Even more impressive, she remembered everyone's names and went out of her way to learn a little about them. The pace was slow and relaxed with a short out and back along the coastline. The tandem kayaks were easy to steer and the guides helped make sure they were adjusted properly before taking off. Whether you are a first time kayaker or a seasoned pro, I think there is something for everyone to enjoy going on one of these tours. The only bathroom option near the park is a porta potty so I would caution folks to take care of business before arriving if that's not your cup of tea.

Loved our half day kayak tour! Suzanne and Whitney were amazing showing us around and everyone in our group enjoyed it. They kept us safe when crossing busy water travel areas and showed us local sights. We especially liked the chocolate chip cookies that Suzanne made as a snack on the island :) We went on an amazing day too! Would 100% recommend booking to others!

Lovely staff and fantastic experience! We had booked a kayak rental and when we arrived the offered us a few open spots on a tour that was about to leave. Of course we took it and we are so glad we did! Zack the guide and owner was very kind and knowledgeable. It was a windy day and he made the paddle easier to work with the wind. Also did a great job making us feel safe with all the boat traffic.

We rented a Kayak from Portland Paddle for three day two overnight paddle. My girlfriend and I are setting out on a three to four month paddle north and want to bring her son out for a couple of nights at the start. The boats was a rental but reasonably maintained and good for the short jaunt to Little Chebeague Island. There customer service was great and the owner Zack very helpful when we discovered a few items left behind, helping us by playing mail delivery service. We are very thankful for this help and will have a better trip because of it. If you have never paddled and want to take a tour, check these guys out. The briefings I heard while setting up my boat where on point and all the clients seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good spot for a rental too as they are is a sweet location to launch from in east Portland.

The Casco Bay Traverse trip was exceptional and gave us a good feel for what kayak/camping on the Maine islands is like. It was our first multi-day trip and second year of kayaking . The guides were extremely professional, adjusted routes based on the groups interest, skill level, weather and safety. They were very personable, fun and cooked yummy dinners for us! The french press coffee with breakfast was great too! We couldn’t have assembled a better group or guides. Thank you Portland Paddle!

We did a half day paddle on 9/3, led by Suzanne. I can't speak highly enough of the experience! I don't typically kayak with a guided tour, I usually just rent and go out on my own but in Casco Bay I would recommend the guided tour. It's a pretty busy waterway and I felt in good hands with Suzanne leading us. It's challenging without being too hard, if you are a beginner, I think you'd be fine if you have a decent fitness level. The paddle itself was great. Saw great wildlife, close up views of Fort Gorges, incredible cliffs and a great break on a mini island on the way back. Definitely add this to you agenda if you are going to Portland (and ask for Suzanne's tour, she was awesome!!!)

Awesome kayak tour around and to Fort Gorgeous. Guides are super knowledgeable about kayaking and the requisite safety to use them. Also know a lot of neat little facts about the fort itself. Great way to spend a half-day in Portland if you don't mind (or even enjoy!) putting in a little effort to kayak around. 100% recommended!

We had a great time with Sam cruising out to Fort Gorges. The paddle was pretty relaxing and we had ample time to tour the fort with Sam as well as to explore on our own. We paddled around the fort to see the backside and had time to paddle up to the B&M plant and trestle bridge before returning to shore. We unfortunately didn't spot any seals or porpoise but did see cormorant and osprey.

As a Portland tour guide myself, I ecstatically recommend Portland Paddle as a real must do in town! They offer a ton of different trip options and the experience of going out on the water with them is super special and not to be missed. My group did the Fort Gorges tour, which was a great intro into kayaking and the bay. Our tour guide Kyle immediately set a friendly and calming tone, explaining everything the group needed to feel comfortable and ready. Once out on the water, we felt safe and well-guided the whole time. Kyle's tour of the fort itself was thorough and an excellent blend of being guided around and being allowed to explore on our own. It was all around an incredibly cool, beautiful, and super special time. They've got their system down so well, no previous experience necessary! I am going to be recommending this company and this experience to all the visitors that I interact with on my own tours!

Our guide, Logan, told us everything we needed to know to get the most out of our kayaking experience and our tour around Fort Gorges. The experience was at a comfortable but engaging pace so our entire party of six had fun the entire time. If learning to sea kayak and exploring an abandoned fort were separate activities, they both would’ve been highlights of our vacation. The fact that both were rolled into a single experience solidifies the fact that Portland Paddle is going to become a staple of our annual trip to Maine.

Had a great time yesterday, paddled on a tandem kayak in the harbor to the fort. Alonzo was a great guide, very knowledgeable and kept the team smiling the whole way. He knew a lot about the harbor, kayaking, and random facts about Portland and the fort. You can tell he loves what he does and it shows. Equipment was well maintained and staff was very welcoming. Definitely will try this again!

We had some waves the day we went and our guide was careful to make sure we could handle them before paddling out to the island. Once we got to the island we had a fun tour and time to explore. It's a beautiful place. On the way back we saw Arctic Terns diving and catching fish right next to our kayak. Our guide was very clear on how to 'ferry' across back to the mainland and I felt very safe even though the waves came over the front of our kayak a couple times. :) I would highly recommend this tour when visiting Portland.

We did the Sunset Sea Kayak Tour ($45pp for 2 hours - which I thought was a great price since renting kayaks would have been the same price!) It was a beautiful experience and our guide, Joel, was super nice and knowledgeable about the area. Along with the sunset views, he shared with us facts about the birds we saw along the way and facts about structures in the area. As more of a beginner, I never felt unsafe or scared of tipping over in the tandem kayak. It was very peaceful in the water, thankfully wind/waves were minimal. But I would definitely recommend!

It is great and pleasant experience with almost no prior experience kayaking. We were tensed initially as we are doing in sea water. But our guide Janet is very helpful with good instructions and make sure all of us are doing well despite busy traffic with power boats. We had a beautiful and gorgeous SUNSET experience. We had a great experience with Portland Paddle. Reserved online, which was quick and simple. Showed up at our rental time and the staff clearly explained the paddle zone for our experience level (no roll recovery experience, but not novice either), and got us fitted up for life jackets, kayak foot position and into the water professionally and quickly. They graciously started the clock once we were in the water and return was quick and easy. Definitely renting with them again in the future.

Our first visit to Portland. Really glad we stumbled acroytbw sunset paddle with Portland Paddles. Was an outstanding experience. Very relaxed and low key. Simple process to book. Great instruction. There was a range of kayak experience within the group but everyone seemed to have a good time and feel comfortable in the water. Great views and so relaxing to be out on the water at that time of day.

This was my first time Kayaking and the staff assured me I'd be fine. I just rented and went on my own as the tours were all booked as I booked at the last minute. It was a calm sunny day, very light wind. Water was calm and peaceful. Staff was friendly and helpful and offered to work with the time of my reservation in case I arrived late or ahead of time. They provide a dry bag for you just have a water tight sleeve for your phone that you can attach to yourself somehow. Take a action cam if you have one. I took my GoPro Hero 7 Black and got some good footage.

An excellent experience all around! We chose the kayak and yoga trip to Fort Gorges in Casco Bay. Our guides were knowledgeable and fun and expertly helped us navigate a very busy day on the water! Amazing tour by the harbor, struggled a lot with the rudder at the beginning but guide Garrison helped me out!!! Final kayaking in the sunset was to die for. Guide also took us to a hidden spot by the abandoned bridge, def worth the detour as well.

My son and I booked a private full day guided paddle, but I hurt my back a couple days before and could not participate. Portland Paddle refunded my fees in full and still did a private tour for my son! All the staff were great and my son's guide Joe was excellent. He had a great day on the water and learned a lot. Portland is a beautiful place to kayak and Portland Paddle are good people.

We had an amazing time on our 4-hour island tour with Suzanne while visiting Portland for the first time. She was very thorough and made sure we had everything we would need and more prior to leaving. She was very educated about the water as well as Portlands islands and we felt very safe having her as our guide. We basically had a private tour and she was great company! My husband, 14-year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our Sunset tour with Portland Paddle. Our guides, Brian and Janet, were excellent teachers, providing sound and relaxed instruction on how to best manage a sea kayak safely on the water. Our small group paddled from East End Beach out to a small island inhabited by Cormorants (sea ducks), and some of our group spotted seals in the water. The sunset on return was spectacular, and a special treat after paddling out and back about 90 minutes. I'm a destination type of person, so my only critique is that I wish we paddled to a place where we could get out, stretch our legs, explore and then paddle back, but I imagine that will happen next time when we sign up for the Fort Gorges tour. Thanks Portland Paddle!

Awesome experience. The Fort Gorges tour is great if it's your first time Sea Kayaking (or indeed your first time Kayaking at all). Our instructor, Brian, made sure we all knew what we were doing and also gave us a guided tour of the island. There was also an extra half hour for some independent exploration too. Bring a headlamp if you don't want to use your phone's flashlight since Fort Gorges is pretty dark.

I literally ran past and learned about Portland Paddle. I was later able to look them up and learn more about what they offer. It was easy to book an hour in a kayak and the price was reasonable. I had a great experience and a great time exploring around on the water. Even though the water temperature was supposed to have been 62 degrees, it felt great and refreshing during a heat wave!

This place is amazing! Eric was super helpful and very low-key. We're intermediate paddlers and have spent a good number of hours on lakes and rivers in the Midwest in our own boats, so we thought we'd give the ocean a try. Easy rental process, waivers were easy to fill out, and the cost was less than I anticipated for this type of rental. All the gear was provided and in good shape - paddle, PFDs, and even dry bags. There's a fairly large area that you can explore, we did the majority of their recommended zone in the two hours we had. No whales or seals, sadly, but I think that was just our luck. If you like to paddle this was a really cool and low-key way to get on the water and enjoy the bay, 10/10 definitely recommend!

I wanted to do a little kayaking my first day in Portland and Portland Paddle was perfect! I was able to walk there from my hotel (about a 1 mile away) and was greeted by Kyla and Nathan. It's run like a well-oiled machine and within minutes, I was ready to take off in my kayak! I highly recommend if you're in the area!

We highly recommend Portland Paddle! While on a long kayak-road trip across the country (we live in on the coast of Washington state!), we chose to take a rolling class with PP and had such a great time! Our instructor was Suzanne, who has over 40 years of paddling experience - she was an absolute hoot, broke down the roll skills into easy-to-digest parts, and by the end of our session, all three of us students had completed an unassisted roll in our sea kayaks (this was huge! We’d been struggling with this skill for a while!). The cost vs value of the class was great, we had a great time, and walked away feeling accomplished and ready to practice our newly-learned skills back home.

Originally had a 4PM reservation, they called at 2:30 saying the wind conditions were going to be a bit rough. Easily rescheduled to 8AM the following morning. The guy who helped me was very nice and gave a quick, but thorough, run down of safety and places to kayak (scaled for me as a beginner). Great pricing, about $35 for two hours. I'd recommend going during the week or early on the weekend for easy parking. 10/10 recommed.

This was one of our first times kayaking and Adam and Natalie were very patient, kind, and super helpful to us, giving us great tips so we would feel comfortable out on the waters. We rented a single and a tandem for an hour close to sunset and we were given splash jackets and a dry bag to use. Smooth and quick process, would definitely come back again next time we’re in Maine!

Staff were efficient and friendly, the kayaks were in great shape, and we had a blast. We did the rental rather than the tour, and we enjoyed scooting around the Casco Bay shoreline, including to a small island 200 yards or so from shore. Go earlier for smoother waters and more (free!) parking options, check out their website for information, and be sure to reserve in advance to get out on the water with as little wait as possible.

Fabulous time. We're flatwater kayakers and had never been on the ocean before. My partner had never been in a kayak longer than 10 feet. She was nervous about capsizing. Paddling in the Bay was amazing, with some swells and a few choppy waves. Our guide Joe was really informative and kept us all safe and happy. (No one capsized.) Couldn't have had a better time, and we'll be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our sunset tour at Portland paddle this past week. We went from East End Beach around Fort Gorges and then over to Fort Scammel. Then we returned via Fort Gorges. It was so so fun. We had ocean kayaks with cockpits that seal with protective skirts that keep you dry. It was a beautiful sunset and a wonderful adventure as our first outdoor activity post Covid lockdown. Our tour guide Dane was perfect! While teaching us additional kayaking & paddling tips during our time on the water and encouraging social distancing and masks! We felt very safe.

My boyfriend and I decided to book the Fort Gorge's kayak tour. We had Ashley as our guide and she was absolutely amazing. From the introduction to paddling, to explaining the kayak path, and timing of the day it was the perfect trip. We were able to keep the day moving and even had extra time to go check out the baby seals on a rock before the time was up.

We were spontaneous drop-ins and took the Sunset Tour. Not booking in advance was no problem and the tourgide explained everything you need to know at a beginner-level. He also knew a lot about the area and it's wildlife. We explored different places in the bay and had a great sunset. Totally worth it.

I talked with Zack before coming to Portland recently, about renting a sea kayak for a week while staying with family at Maine Yacht Center. He made it very easy to reserve the kayak for week and keep it at the boat, returning when I was finished. It was a great time kayaking the bay area there every day. Others from Portland Paddle also were very friendly and helpful as I interacted with them several times during the week. Sea kayaking was fun and safe (for me anyway...), never having moved beyond a basic recreational kayak. I also noted that they have more than one location.

This was my first time SUP after wanting to try it for years. We were on vacation and decided why not try it out in the icy cold waters of Maine rather than the warmth on NC waters! A quick storm rolled through and once it was gone, I reserved our spots. We made our way to Portland Paddle and once we got suited up and walked down to the water, more rain came in. We were given the option to wait for the rain to pass, but my husband figured we would be falling off and getting wet anyway, so what’s a little rain?! The water was a little wild! The guy that helped us was awesome and gave great tips for us beginners. They were so kind, chill, helpful. We had a great time and can’t wait to do it again. Thanks for the great experience!

Most important thing I wish I’d known, you get pretty wet even with the skirt they give you so plan accordingly with quick dry clothing and you’ll be more comfortable. We would do this tour again!

I had very little experience and my goal was to learn the basics (the correct way) and get comfortable enough to keep developing the skills on my own. The groups were small (5) and we had a lot of fun both days and covered a lot of different things—weather, boating channels, communication, safety, etc. Portland Paddle is a real friendly bunch, go down to the eastern prom and check them out.

I recently participated in a Casco Bay tour for folks associated with the Maine Island Trail Association and lead by Portland Paddle. It was a wonderful experience despite cloudy skies and cool weather. We were two guides and 13 participants. Both guides were professional, very safety conscious, friendly, and knowledgable about the course we took among the islands in Casco Bay. Furthermore, they went out of their way to make sure each participant could safely launch their kayak, and get it back to their car at the end of the day. The trip was definitely worth traveling over two hours one way to be there for the tour.

What a treat the fort is to explore, and explore we did for we had plenty of time to go to the areas that we wanted and to spend as much time as we wanted in each. I took a self-rescue sea kayaking clinic, and I went on an island camping trip with Portland Paddle. The self-rescue clinic involves you tipping your own kayak upside-down with you inside it - a bit scary! But Joe helped us all feel as comfortable and safe as possible the whole time. He was careful to make sure we were all warm enough (Maine's ocean is COLD) the whole time. The whole experience was fun and very education, and a great value. The camping trip I went on was one of the best experiences of my life. Our guide made pad thai for dinner ... so good. The trip was easy enough for anyone with some fitness. We saw so much wildlife. What an adventure.

With wind advisories the day my husband and I planned to go (was our only scheduled free day in town), we were worried we wouldn't be able to go out but luckily our appt was late enough in the afternoon and nothing was cancelled. We got there about 30 minutes early, and were able to go ahead and start since they had plenty of equipment. They made the map very clear and getting in the water was quick and easy. We had a blast! We signed our grandchildren (13.5 and almost 11) for a 2-hour SUP lesson and tour. The older child had a fair amount of experience while the younger had never been on a SUP and was a bit apprehensive. We greatly enjoyed the Fort Gorges tour. The equipment was very good. Our tour guide was very helpful, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, safety-oriented and a little bit quirky (which we definitely enjoyed). We did learn a fair amount about the history of the fort while touring the fort. There were great views of Portland and Casco Bay. The seas did get a little rough on the way back from the fort with15 knot head winds but it was physically managable to paddle through. The energy level was comparable to hiking a moderately steep slope. Overall we would highly recommend this tour.

Our original reservation was rescheduled due to high winds. They called us to let us know before arriving which was awesome. We got 2 solo single kayaks. The day we kayaked, they asked about experience and showed us the boundaries. It was definitely a new experience for me as I am use to lakes and rivers kayaking back home. For a large group (12 girls), we were given care and attention and were taught the ropes in order for a really fun and unique activity on the weekend. Our guide, Melanie, was thorough in explaining how to use the rudders on the sea kayaks and was attentive to the whole group while we were out on the water. My wife and I went on a half-day trip with Portland Paddle in August 2019. The trip definitely exceeded our expectations! We originally wanted to solo paddle, but learned that in the waters outside of Portland, it's necessary to have a guide if you want to paddle off shore. So glad we went with Portland Paddle! We ended up being on the water for over 3 hours and paddle by several islands, including a stop at Gorges Fort, which was a neat addition the low tide allowed us. Our guide was fantastic (I believe it's the woman who owns the company)-We felt safe the entire paddle and she knew a lot about the wildlife, waters, and the Fort, keeping our trip very interesting. My wife and I learned how to tandem kayak with a rudder, which was a hilarious experience indeed. Great price for the experience as well. Snacks included! Would definitely use them again when we return to Portland!

Located at East end beach which is walkable from Old Port. We booked 3 hour private tour and found out rain was forecast. Company reasonable about changing date. When we arrived the following day it was extremely windy, and we were again asked if we wished to postpone. Having had some experience paddling, we decided to give it a try and were so glad we did. Joe, our guide was extraordinary. Knowledgeable about paddling and about the water and traffic in the harbor. Showed us some local wildlife and found least windy spots in harbor so we could enjoy our day paddling. Good listener and chose a paddle for me to minimize shoulder stress as I had explained about an old injury. Would not hesitate to recommend him or this outfitter. Had a wonderful time on Portland's waterfront, while avoiding boat traffic on weekend. We enjoyed their sea kayaks (Wilderness Systems , tsunami)which tracked fairly well and also had rudder assist to help fight strong current. Fun day in Portland with excellent outfitter and guide.

Me and my husband went on a guided, three day paddle and it was one of the best parts of our Maine trip. Our guide Sam did a great job of explaining route options for us to choose from, pointing out wildlife, explaining interesting parts of the history of the area, and making sure we were safe and comfortable. Rented a kayak for first time to support Peaks to Portland swimmer. Portland Paddle took reservation, staged kayak, switched out tandem for single at last minute when partner did not show. All was fast, efficient and professional. At the end of the race they intercepted everyone, checked me off list and that was it. A friend who owns a kayak said he is leaving his at home next year because Portland Paddle's prices are so reasonable and they have the logistics down so well. Highly recommend for all rentals.

Went out on a cool misty evening for a sunset kayak paddle. Our two guides were outstanding and did a great job making sure everyone was prepared for the weather before we set off. Once out in the kayaks we had the water mostly to ourselves except for the ferries coming and going but we were well clear of them. The mist made for a surreal and unique experience even without getting to see the sunset. We hope to make it back in the future for one of the Fort Gorges tours.

We scheduled a private kayak tour with Portland Paddle before our cruise and were so glad we did. This place is a total gem...a fantastic way to actually experience Portland and the beauty of Maine away from the tourist traps that you usually get during a cruise. Our guide Erin was super informative and nice. We are both experienced kayakers and we STILL learned new tricks from her. Plus a visit to Fort Gorges and the beautiful bay was fantastic. PP also fully bundled us up with wet suits which was very much appreciated. We thought we would be warm dressed in jeans and rain pants...ha! Maybe in warmer weather. Overall, it was one of the highlights of our trip and I would highly recommend them. Cruisers...you will have to walk to get to them, no cabs in the park, but it is ONLY A MILE from the cruise ship. On a flat path. Through a scenic park. You'll walk further to get to those souvenir shops in town. Call them in advance (48 hr cancellation policy which is very reasonable) and JUST DO IT.

The staff was kind, thorough, and altogether fantastic. The prices were fair, the equipment was in quality condition, and they clean for COVID, if that's important to you. The only reason it doesn't get five stars ftom me is because I was hoping to be able to go exploring, that's not really possible due to the boundaries the company sets. I conpletely understand why they set the boundaries that they did, but you can only kayak around in a large open body of water, which left me only mildly disappointed. Pro tip: get a tandem kayak with a close friend; it's great for having conversations, as you have a captive audience for 1-2 hours

My family of six (children ages 6-12, plus two adults) took a three day, guided sea kayaking trip with Portland Paddle in July. Joe, our guide, was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and helpful the entire time, planning a challenging route from Portland, to Fort Gorges, to a campsite on Little Chebeague for the first day, a trip around Long Island the second day, and an exciting paddle and bunker tour to Peaks Island the third day. We saw wildlife and learned lots about the history of the area while we paddled through beautiful scenery on a variety of ocean conditions. Our guide made campfires at our campsite each night and even provided s'more ingredients, which was thoughtful and unexpected. It was the adventure of a lifetime and we all cannot wait to do it again.

Chris was very helpful in accommodating my 8-year old son and me in a tandem Necky rental. As an experienced kayaker, I felt more comfortable with my son in the boat with me rather than in his own kayak. Although the weather wasn't ideal, we endured a stiff NW wind and made it safely to Cow Island for my son's first overnight kayak trip. We'll definitely be back next year with my partner, son and 6-year old daughter (in another rented tandem with me) to enjoy an overnight adventure in Casco Bay with the entire family. I've seen a lot of kayak outfitters at work, and this is definitely a group I'd refer an inexperienced kayaker to enjoy a guided experience, or for an experienced boater to take a refresher course on safety, rolling or an open water re-entry.
