Very rarely do I give five (5) star reviews but Christine rocks! Very knowledgeable and accurate with her facts. Had several historical books in her bag to share with the group.
Laura Henry
I loved my walking tour of the Garden District. My guide, Dannal, was so knowledgeable and her passion for her hometown city was apparent.
I learned a lot on this tour, and I enjoyed the pace of it immensely. I never felt like we were at any one location too long or that the narratives were too long, but I also never felt rushed. We saw a variety of homes throughout the tour, which made it interesting from the first step to the last.
Overall, I highly recommend Two Chicks Walking Tours! I wish I had more time to go on their French Quarter Tour before I leave New Orleans!

Betsy led our group through the Garden District and it was absolutely wonderful. She clearly has a deep understanding of New Orleans history and knows how to present it in a fascinating manner. She wove the details of architecture and stories of the people who built and lived in the houses together so well. The meeting point at PJ’s was a bonus to get beignets & coffee before we started walking. Will definitely choose another tour with Betsy if possible on my next visit!

Another 5-star review of the Two Chicks Garden District walking tour? Absolutely! Christine's knowledge and passion make this neighborhood stroll into a story telling delight, with a plethora of past and current day details that imbue you with the rich experience of this neighborhood. The small group size is perfect for people like me who end up peppering the guide with questions, which Christine is only too happy to answer. Thinking about taking this tour? Do it!! Be sure to wear comfy walking shoes and keep an eye on your path as you walk - the sidewalks can be gnarly! Thank you, Christine, for a marvelous tour!

We had a fantastic tour with Karen through the Garden District. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area, the architecture, current, and past residents, and all the other odd things our group asked. Two Chicks Walking Tours is a great way to see this beautiful part of NOLA.
Amanda Beam
Karen was a very knowledgeable and fun tour guide! Our group of 7 really enjoyed the tour through the Garden District. She was informative about the area and very entertaining. Highly recommend!
Amber Wiza
This was such a fun and enlightening way to start my trip to New Orleans! Deanna, the guide, was knowledgeable and hilarious. She shared so much information about New Orleans as a whole, above and beyond the sights that we saw on the walking tour of the Garden District. Highly recommend!
Lauren Brayton
My cousin and I enjoyed learning about the historic & modern day details of the garden district with Karen guiding our tour. She knew a lot about the different eras of architecture, plants in the area, as well as good eating options in the area! She even told us about a local gas light lamp maker we could check out in the French quarter (see photo)
Would recommend this group for tours for sure!

Our family of 5 (teens 17-23) thoroughly enjoyed this 2 hour tour. Exploring New Orleans’ Garden District’s rich history was fun and interesting! DeAnna’s personal stories made the experience even more memorable.
Rachael Newkirk
The tour provided an eclectic mix of topics shared (social, socioeconomic, geological, historical, architectural etc.), and was very thorough. Break spot was nice and size of group was perfect. The rain made it even more special. We'll done, lots of great NOLO information and seemed like it hit all the highlights.
Magdalena Stankowska
Karen was a great tour guide of the French Quarter! From the start she was kind enough to reach out with the specific meeting location and then shared interesting stories about local history and culture. She also provided all sorts of local recommendations which was really helpful to hear from someone who has lived in New Orleans their entire life.
Michael Tuggle
Highly recommend Two Chicks Walking Tours when you are visiting New Orleans. We took both the Garden District tour with Karen and the French Quarter tour with Rhiannon and both were outstanding! Super knowledgeable, friendly, open to any and all questions. One of our favorite parts of our visit!
Shaun Poland
We had a group of 8 that went on the Garden District walking tour led by DeAnna. DeAnna was one of our best tour guides during our trip to New Orleans. She had an amazing personality, was upbeat, and knew so much of the history of the area. We had someone in our group who moved a bit slower and she did a great job adjusting to his speed. Thank you for a wonderful tour!
Christy Moore
We booked this tour last minute and couldn’t have been happier with it! Our tour guide, Kyran, was informative and personable. You could tell she really loves NOLA and sharing its rich history with others.
Rebecca H.
Took the Garden District Tour with Dannel. She was amazing, very informative and personable. She shared with us the history and architecture that can be seen in the Garden District. We considered just walking around on our own but we are very glad to have chosen this tour and actually learned about the homes and their past owners. Streets are easy to walk just be careful around the live Oak trees that have pushed up the sidewalks.

I have never enjoyed a tour so much in my life as I did the Garden District one I had with Betsy- what a professional! She made me laugh and taught me so much. It's amazing when you meet someone who is truly doing the job they were meant for- she was such a storyteller and was able to provide information on any random topic I threw at her. I loved the tour so much that I signed up for her French Quarter one the next day, which hadn't even originally been my plan but I just wanted to learn more about NOLA through Betsy's lens :) Would 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city! Thank you so much, Betsy.

I took the Garden District tour with Two Chicks. The group size was perfect. Our guide, Dannal, was super knowledgeable and excited to share her love for the city with us. I enjoyed that she blended fun pop culture trivia with thorough information about the history of the district.

TAKE THIS TOUR - I'm a local, and I LOVED the Garden District Tour given by DeAnna! I've gone on many New Orleans walking tours over the years - always encouraging my guests to check out the city by foot - and this was one of my favorites so far. Her deep knowledge and love for the city is evident in every story she tells. I was entertained and informed and enjoyed every minute of it. I told my friend while we were on the tour, I could have listened to and followed DeAnna around the city all day. She's a real gem, and the city is lucky to have her as an advocate.
David Levine
Fantastic walking tours thanks to our guide Loki. We did the cemetery tour and enjoyed it so much that we joined him again the next day for the Garden District tour. He is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and very personable. My wife and I had a great time both days and we highly recommend Two Chicks and Loki in particular.
Shelby Quinn
We visited New Orleans for the first time and wanted to make sure we hit all the popular spots. Karen certainly showed us all that and more with the Garden District and French Quarter tours. We learned so much and saw so many things. Being native to the area, Karen had many stories and lots of recommendations. Highly recommend when your visiting NOLA!
Stacy Corbett
I decided spur of the moment I wanted to go on a walking tour of the garden district. So I looked at some tour providers and selected Two Chicks. Went to the meet up location and turned out that I was getting a private tour due to a group cancelation. Yay me. Karen was my guide and she was great. I learned so much about how the district came to be and key houses that still stand. So much better than just wandering around without context.
Lisa Van Buskirk
DeAnna gave one of the most enjoyable, informative tours I have been on, and I go on a lot of tours. She had so much first hand knowledge about the Garden District, having been from there. I learned so much, I certainly take another tour from her. I really liked the smaller size group.
Logan James
My wife and I had reservations for the Garden District Grandeur (the historical overview of the architecture and history of the Garden District and a tour of Lafayette Cemetery #1). We had Ren as our tour guide and it was absolutely wonderful! We could tell that Ren truly loved the history behind the district and he offered some really great stories along with his personal insights of the area. Could not recommend Two Chicks and Ren enough; they're A-Class!
Shay Coolican
Betsy was awesome! She was very knowledgeable, had super interesting anecdotes, and is hilarious. The 2 hr Garden District tour wasn’t too much walking (≈3,000 steps) and we took a break in the middle. It was hot, but we stayed in the shade for the most part. Definitely book this tour if you want to learn more about NOLA and it’s vast history!
Megan Bushar
Loretta was an awesome tour guide. We watched several surly and bored tour guides come through our tour of St Louis Cemetery 1, and felt so lucky to have the kind, effusive, and knowledgeable Loretta on our side!
I usually hate guided tours and did this for some friends, but the cemetery, which is only accessible through a tour, combined with the excellent Loretta, made an incredibly cold morning worth it.
Based on what we saw around us, we would completely recommend 2 chicks walking tours over most other companies!
And St Louis Cemetery...wow. So much history around you...
Suzanne Johnson
Great walking tour in the Garden District with Deana--she was an awesome guide and we learned a lot about the houses in the area and the city.
John Grant
Had a great tour with Loretta in May 2018! She was an excellent tour guide and gave fantastic insight on St. Louis #1 Cemetery and the history of New Orleans. Highly recommended! Tip: Wear sunscreen and book the earliest tour if you require shade, it gets hot. Thanks Loretta!
Rex Craigo
Thoroughly enjoyed my tour of the St. Louis #1 Cemetery with Loretta yesterday. I was so fortunate to have the tour totally to myself so I got all of her attention and information to myself. Loretta was SO very knowledgeable of the cemetery and it was so awesome to have the cemetery totally to ourselves at the 9am tour. It was an hour well spent and highly recommended.
Rosalie Schraut
We decided to do a tour at 7 pm the night before and booked it via the website. It was fast and easy. Karen, our tour guide, texted us in the am to confirm location and again when she arrived. (Which no tour guide had ever done before and in the last year, I took 8 different tours in London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam.)
We went early and had a great breakfast at District Donuts, our mtg point. We started off at 10 am, stopped at historically significant houses, those owned by Anne Rice, some owned by stars, and went to Lafayette Cemetary. Karen was so incredibly knowledgeable, pointing out historical detail, architectural nuances, and pop culture references. She was funny, sincere, and answered all our questions. Our tour was a little over 2 hours, and we stopped about half way through for a water and restroom break. Afterwards, she recommended restaurants on Magazine St, where we had a great lunch.
We even ingratiate ourselves and had a drink with her the next night! We loved Karen and cannot recommend this tour enough!
David Voelz
We had a great time on the tour. Pace was perfect. Brisk enough to see plenty of sites, but we never never felt rushed. Lots of great info and history!
chad cooley
Karen was absolutely amazing! We did two tours with her in one day and both were absolutely awesome. She gives a ton of information on her tours and is absolutely hilarious. I highly recommend her as your guide.
samantha ingraham
Karen was amazing!!! Being from California, this was the best tour ever. Definitely get it done by Karen, she made it more alive and fun! Highly recommend
The Valkers
Had a blast doing the Brothel Tour and Garden Tour with Karen! She was extremely knowledgeable on both and made sure everyone had a great time. Would definitely recommend getting a tour with Karen.
Graham Stanford-Hudspeth
Went on a cemetery tour. Tour guide was great. Lots of personality and bad jokes (which I loved). Very knowledgeable. Cemetery was interesting on its own but the guide made all the difference. Would go again.
Michelina Matarrese
Went with a 50th birthday group, because where else would you take someone marking half a century! Our guide, Stacey, was fantastic - very knowledgeable about the cemetery history, the amazing features of above ground burial, local archdiocese politics, what distinguishes New Orleans culture from the rest of "America" throughout history, fact v.s. fiction about New Orleans cemeteries and some of their famous inhabitants. We learned a LOT with some corny death jokes thrown in for awesome nerd factor. The Storyville part of the tour was also fascinating, and included a sensitive discussion of racist sex industry practices and the eventual displacement of the residents of Storyville. In letting her full personality and opinions shine, Stacey made the tour more memorable and it was definitely a highlight of this adventure.
Jessika Rieck
A great, informative tour of the Garden District. Karen was funny and engaging, and had a lot of neat facts for the area.
Meghan B
Betsy led an interesting, historic, and fun walking tour of the Garden District. It was a top highlight of our trip.
Cindy Bentley
Had a very great, informative. Interesting. Wonderful walking tour with Karen through the garden district in New Orleans. We got drenched with rain and she made it not a problem. Grabbed us some cover and pad ponchos and just made sure we were comfortable. All in all, I would totally recommend this walking tour with Karen or with the two chicks to anyone that wants to do this in New Orleans
Chris Nazelrod
The Garden District tour with Betsy was a hoot! Highly recommend for a cool and cloudy day.
Emilie Hautemont
Great experience! Karen was a wonderful tour guide and answered all our questions thoughtfully. Perfect blend of history and more contemporary info.
Daniel Blum
Such a great experience all the way around. Small group, knowledgeable and entertaining giude, and just a top notch tour. Highly recommend.
Rose Weinberger
What a great experience! Dannal (rhymes with flannel) was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot AND had a great time.
Marcie Stassi
I was meeting a young college friend in New Orleans and was looking for something unique and I GOT IT!! Ask for Loretta! She'll tell you things you never knew before even if you know the 'quarter'! Best Valentine's Day ever!! Ask for Loretta and you'll be touring the city with a friend!
Bible Family
Karen was amazing! Great small tour size. Wonderful experience!
Amy DiChristina
Thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Betsy! She was friendly and fabulous. She was considerate of the heat making sure to keep us in the shade as much as possible and stopping halfway through for a bathroom and AC break. She was very knowledgeable about the Garden District and shared many wonderful stories with us. Will definitely book with them again the next time I'm in town!
Mira Wizig
Betsy was our guide and she was very animated and was a wealth of information on the Garden District and the history of each place that she highlighted on our walking tour. She also answered participants' questions and tailored the tour to our interests.
Spencer Dowling
My wife and I took the French Quarter Cynic's Ghost Tour and the Garden District and Cemetery Tour. Both of these were extremely interesting and entertaining. The smaller group sizes were also very nice and helped ensure everyone's questions were addressed.
Loki was our guide for both tours. He was very personable and animated, and his anecdotes from his personal and family history in New Orleans added a lot to the experience. He also provided excellent recommendations for the rest of our stay, which helped us find some of the best meals and evening activities during our stay.
We also had the chance to meet Loretta and see a little bit of her tour, which seemed like it would a lot of fun, too.
We would highly recommend Two Chicks for anyone visiting the city!
Jennifer Coons
We attended a French Quarter walking tour with Christie on a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We met Christie near Cafe Du Monde to start the tour. We began with a brief history of how the quarter came to be and Christie was amazingly knowledgeable about how the town was founded/created. We then set off on our in-depth tour where Christie talked to us all about the area, the nuns, visited a local bar for a sit-down and history of the Pirate Lafitte, and ended at Pirates Alley. We truly appreciated the small size of our tour as it made us feel like we could interact with Christie and ask questions without feeling like we were rushed. Out of the many things we did during our visit we will highly recommend this tour to our friends and family.
Jennifer Bennett
My husband and I did a tour of St Louis Cemetery no 1, this was our last stop in New Orleans before we left. Loretta was our tour guide and she was great! She is a very friendly lady and knew her stuff. You can tell she loves what she does and we had so much fun listening to her..she kept us entertained and we learned a lot! We received email and text message reminders the day before the tour and also the day of the tour with all the information we needed. Where and when to meet, bring water to drink etc...I definitely recommend them and would use them again!
Jerrel and Shelby Ngo
My husband and I took a tour of the Garden District with Christine over the July 4th weekend. Christine was very knowledgeable and the tour was both informative and fun. She went into detail about the history of the homes, the architecture, the families that lived in the homes, and much more. I definitely recommend Two Chicks Walking Tours to anyone visiting New Orleans!
Lisa Finkelstein
We had an amazing time on the Garden District Tour with the brilliant and hilarious Betsy as our guide. I live here and learned so much about the neighborhood I hadn’t known. I highly recommend this experience!!! Thanks, Betsy!!!
Steven Sciple
My wife and I drove over to New Orleans to photograph some areas. Decided on the Two Chicks tour of St. Louis Cemetery #1. Loretta was our tour guide and did an amazing job. Very knowledgeable about the cemetery and the city. Very entertaining and good story telling. One of the better tours we have taken. Would consider them for another tour.
Eddie Arnold
We took two tours while in New Orleans and couldn’t have been happier. Mike was our tour guide through St Louis Cemetery #1 and did not disappoint, super informative and obviously knows his stuff. A great 1 hr tour.
We then took a tour of the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery with Loki a Man who’s family had been in New Orleans for I believe 8 generations. The man was great, super interesting and fun, an actual historical tour.
We would and will recommend 2 Chicks to everyone
McKenzie Hebert
Had an absolutely amazing tour of the garden district with Karen! It was everything I hoped for and more!!
Marilyn Hamer
Great tour of the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery #1 with our tour guide Ren. He had the perfect mix of history, humor and celebrities to make it a perfect 2 hour experience!
Alison Fedoris Leslie
We absolutely loved our walking tour! We did a tour with Christie in the Garden District. It was like walking with a friend - we learned about the history, funny stories from her other tours, and were able to see such a beautiful area of New Orleans. As first time visitors, we wanted to learn about the history of New Orleans as well as the fun facts. Christie said that Two Chicks keeps tours small (14 people and under) compared to other companies. This led to a very intimate and special tour. We cannot recommend them highly enough!
Nino R
I did a solo trip to NOLA, and I booked this tour and got far more than I expected. Christie was very fun and informative. This was a great way to learn the history of New Orleans and meet some great people. I definitely recommend.
Brandt Callahan
Christine was an amazing tour guide. She spoke of architectural detail and history of the homes and neighborhood with great knowledge. I highly recommend.
Antonia Dheere
Betsy is amazing, we did the garden route tour! Book with these women, worth the cost and nice to support local women
Melinda Baas
Great tour guide. Our first booking was rained out and they were great about rescheduling and keeping in touch. Very knowledgeable about the area. We did the Garden District tour. Have been to NOLA before but knew nothing of this area so it was interesting. A little history and a little who's who. They show you a great bookstore, just wish i had time to go back.
Brianna Atkinson
Karen was a fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide. She had tons of factual and antidotal stories to share that really made the tour so enjoyable. We took the ladies of the night tour, and it was incredible. Karen gave us multiple book recommendations and followed up with us post tour to see if we had any questions the next day. I'd definitely book another tour with two chicks!
Kelly Constantino
We visited New Orleans for the first time with our 3 children this past summer. We had such an amazing time the whole weekend! We did 3 tours and the Garden District walking tour was by far the best out of all of them! We actually ended up being the only ones on it which was a huge plus because it was private and our tour guide Loki was AMAZING!!! He has lived in New Orleans his whole life and his family going back 3+generations which made it so incredible to just listen to him and all that New Orleans has! If you book this tour ask for Loki, you won’t be disappointed one little bit!
Lindsay Jones
Loretta was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable about the history of the cemetery and NOLA. I love how she made sure we saw all the highlights of the cemetery but was also so respectful of other tours and guides. I wish I could have her take me around all weekend! Highly recommend Two Chicks Walking Tours over and above any other tour company, especially in the cemeteries!
Catherine McBride
We had such a great time on the Dead Sexy tour with Loretta. We went on a few different tours during our stay, but Loretta was by far the best guide. She was very knowledgeable and you could tell how much she loves her job. We passed several other tours in the cemetery, and they looked bored with their guides. Loretta kept it fun and entertaining from start to finish. I will definitely recommend her to anyone traveling to New Orleans.
april L
booked a tour with Loretta and she was great! It was the saturday of Pride, and I was the only tourist for the 11 spot. I was very thankful that she didn't cancel! Having a 1-1 guide of St. Louis Cemetery #1 was amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the cemetery, and of new Orleans. I loved the follow up email with recommendations. I appreciate that they keep their tour groups low, at 12. More than that feels too big. The next time i go back to the Big Easy, I will for sure book another tour with them.
PLEASE STAY HYDRATED AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER DURING THE SPRING AND SUMMER.
Kaeleigh Herstad
We went on the Storyville tour with Karen, and it was a highlight of our trip to New Orleans! Karen is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We had some special circumstances that she readily adapted our tour to accommodate. We learned and saw so much and left wanting to know even more, and I immediately ordered two of the books she had recommended for follow-up reading.
We will definitely be going on their other tours on our next trip!
Lou Maricle
My wife and I did the walking tour of the Garden District and Cemetery today. Our tour guide was Stacey who was very knowledgeable about the area and had tons of information about of the homes, culture, and NOLA in general. We particularly liked that she let us know that some stories you hear may be of questionable authenticity.
Her enthusiasm and love of New Orleans was evident during the entire tour as she talked about interesting points of interest along the way. As an added plus Stacey was very helpful with suggestions of good places to eat and things to do in New Orleans beyond the realm of the tour. Based on our experience I would recommend Two Chicks Walking Tours to everyone.

My husband and I took the Dead Sexy Tour with Loretta (our guide). The tour and the stories were great but what made our tour a memorable experience was Miss Loretta. She caught our attention and was never a dull moment. She catered to our needs as a group while also keeping us on schedule. The tour itself was very interesting and we all had many questions that were answered to our satisfaction. I will recommend this tour to all my friends and family. Thank you for a great time!
Dennis Moreno
Excellent experience. Our tour guide George "Loki" Williams is a direct descendant of the original New Orleans Cajun settlers. He was an great storyteller sharing not only history, but his own family's traditions and stories. He dispelled many myths and replaced them with far more interesting historic facts and knowledge. I've been to the Garden District many times and never realized until now all the things I was looking at. I highly recommend booking a tour with Two Chicks and asking for Loki.
Ruth Crane
Went on the Garden District/Lafayette Cemetery tour with Loki over Memorial Day weekend and it was fabulous! One of the guests is a New Orleans resident and she loved it as well due to all the unusual tidbits of info that we got. Loved the tour and will take another when I'm back in town, which can't be soon enough for me!
Kaitlin Quigley
We had the most amazing time on the garden district tour! Loki was our guide, and he was incredible. I have been on a few tours like this before in New Orleans, but none were as informative or entertaining as this one. I highly recommend Loki and this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans, whether it’s your first time or your fifth.
Aimee Butler
I loved this tour! It was equally informative and fun. I am a native (north) Louisianian that knew very little about my state's most cherished city - a bit embarrassing on my part. My roommate and I decided on a whim to take a tour of Nola's Garden District to scratch the sacred grounds surface and learn some things.
Our guide, Loki, is knowledgeable and incredibly enthusiastic about his city. I could see a genuine love of New Orleans in his presentation. He has a sincere pride in calling the city his home. He answered all of our questions throughly and I was impressed with his knowledge. He treated each person on his tour like a visiting friend and also followed up with us a few days later with a curated reading list of New Orleans history. The tour went above my expectations! I highly recommend this tour.
Britain McGee
My grandmother and I went through Two Chicks Walking Tours to tour St. Louis no. 1 cemetery, and our tour guide was Val. Everything about it was great. We began by meeting at an adorable coffee shop and while we were waiting for our coffees she gave us a brief history of New Orleans. During our tour she was very intelligible and informative, but also allowed for us to take time taking pictures and looking at what caught our eye. Overall, super great and I'd highly recommend going through Two Chicks.
Katarina Blakeslee
My family and I recently took a walking tour of the Garden District with Christine. We had high hopes going in to the tour that we would have a wonderful and educational time and even with our high expectations, we were still blown away. Christine took us through the Garden District in such a way that we were able to learn about the history of the city and also how this history affects modern New Orleans. We learned so much backstory about the architecture and the aesthetics of the Garden District as well. Even though we already love New Orleans, Christine gave us a newfound appreciation and interest in this amazing city.
Kelly Samson
This was an outstanding experience for us! My daughter and I used Two Chicks Walking Tours to tour the cemetery. We got Loretta as our tour guide - she was AMAZING! Such a character - she brought so much color to our tour! She gave us lots of history, was down to Earth, and so funny. We enjoyed her and our tour tremendously. I would DEFINITELY use her again! Five stars is not even adequate!!!!! Absolutely do recommend!
Kevan Meinershagen
My wife and I took the Skeptic's Ghost Tour and it was amazing! It was refreshing to get the ghost stories the other tours go over AND a historical and fact-based take on the story. Our guide Loki was excellent; a never-ending font of local, colorful history. I would recommend the tour and Loki to anyone looking for a different take on ghost stories!
Armen Avetyan
My wife and I were visiting New Orleans for the first time celebrating our wedding anniversary. Nothing says romance like a cemetery tour, so we went with the Garden District/Cemetery tour through Two Chicks Walking Tours. Our tour guide was Loki, not one of the two chicks as you can imagine, and he was absolutely amazing. The level of historical and cultural depth he went into, was not only educational, but also very entertaining. I know you have to earn your way of becoming a true New Orlean, but Loki truly made us feel like natives during those 2 hours! Thank you for helping us make memories for life Loki, we truly had an incredible time!
Samantha Maloney
Met Loretta at a coffee shop with my husband about 15 minutes before the tour of St. Louis Cemetery #1. She connected with us via text which was very helpful. We chatted for a bit before the tour and she was immediately so
personable and knowledgeable. She made a point to let us know she knew all the shaded areas of the cemetery and kept her word during the tour! We learned so much fun and interesting information during the tour, it was fantastic. We had never been to New Orleans or on any tours and didn’t know what to expect, but we would now recommend this tour and Loretta to any and everyone!
nathan moore
This was definitely the highlight of our trip! We had Loki as our tour guide and we happened to be the only two people on the tour so we had him all to ourselves. He did an awesome job of fitting the tour to our personal interests and sharing his personal experiences and vast knowledge of the Garden District with us. This was an incredible experience and I would highly recommend it! My only regret was that we did this on our last day - I would have loved to have the time to take another tour from him!

We were a group of family and friends who visited NOLA for 5 days. One day we took a morning cemetery tour with Loretta as our guide. What a great tour! Loretta was very informative, humourous and knowledgeable about not just the cemetery but also with people and NOLA. She answered every question we had. If you give her your email she'll even send you her personal favorite of things to do, where to eat and what to see while in NOLA. Who does that? Loretta does!! Loretta sets the bar on what a tour guide should be and know to be a guide!!!! 5 stars and highly recommended!

I work for a ghost and history tour company in Gettysburg so I'll be honest in saying that I have much higher expectations than the average guest. I look at how guides present themselves, how they interact with guests, their knowledge and respect for history, and the tour content and quality. I can honestly say that this was a top notch tour from the guide, the history presented and the location. The guide, Loretta, was very knowledgeable and you could tell she knew her history and had a passion for what she does. This tour is well worth the money because of the location. St. Louis Cemetery #1 is not free to everyone you must be with a licensed guide to go in the cemetery. Also St. Louis Cemetery #1 is the oldest in New Orleans and resting place of voodoo queen Marie Laveau. The tour is very intriguing, full of great history and the group sizes are kept small so it's a nice intimate tour where everyone can see and hear. If you are visiting NOLA this tour should be on your list and ask for Miss Loretta as your guide she's great. :-)
Christopher Stover
Had a wonderful time on the Garden District and Cemetery tour today. Our tour guide Loki, was informative, fascinating, and entertaining. He has a rich and colorful personal history to share and highlight many of the scenes we visited. He reccomended a great restaurant (Gris Gris) for lunch. Had the best gumbo! We highly recommend this tour for a great NOLA experience!
Margo Wininger
Our family recently took the beautiful Gracious Gardens tour with Karen as our guide. She was amazing. She patiently took all the questions and comments from my curious 10 year old. She went above and beyond to make sure that we all enjoyed not only the tour, but our entire NOLA visit. When several very large groups passed us by, I was so happy that we had a small, personalized tour. Highly recommend.
Jeff H
Loretta was our guide and she was awesome! She made the tour very interesting, entertaining and very worthwhile. She was very knowledgeable on the history of the particular graveyard we were in and very knowledgeable on the area history as well.
I can't vouche for the other guides from Two Chicks, but if you can request Loretta, you won't go wrong.
Mia Voss
We went on the Grand Garden District Tour and it was just lovely! The perfect amount of information & stops. Moira, our Guide, was chock full o knowledge and also willing to answer questions & offer even more information during the strolling portion of the tour. The homes in the Garden District are definitely worth a look see! We also toured the Lafayette Cemetery which was a sight to behold.
The 2 Chicks Walking Tours are definitely worth it!
Matthew Modist
This tour cannot come recommended highly enough! From the very start of the tour, Loki, our guide was absolutely awesome! A generations deep New Orleans native with a passion and deep love for his home, he was so well informed and excited to share the rich history of this amazing neighborhood. In addition to pointing out so many unique details and curiosities, the fact that the guide was so deeply engrained in the local culture made the perspective from which he gave the tour so engaging. You’ll learn history, folklore, and see a section of the city so often unexplored by those on a “tourist’s” vacation. We cannot say enough good about how much we enjoyed ourselves! Thanks again Loki!

I took two tours with this group this past week, and both were great. As a first-time New Orleans visitor, I especially appreciated the small size of the tour groups and the extensive background information that both tour guides offered. Kudos to Loki (Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery #1) and Loretta (Saint Louis Cemetery #1)!
Esther Baranov
A lovely Garden District walking tour with Loki! As a group of 10 we had a personal tour with Loki in the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery. We called Two Chicks Walking Tours the day before and they were extremely accommodating with our large group! Loki was an outstanding tour guide - extremely knowledgeable about history, architecture, and folklore and always making sure to find us some shade! Would definitely book with Two Chicks Walking Tours again.

Myself, my boyfriend, and his best friend went on two of the Two Chicks walking tours, the Skeptic's Ghost Tour and the Grand Garden District Tour, over the weekend. The tours were great fun and our guide, Loki, did an excellent job of blending folklore with actual history! Will definitely recommend this company to any of our friends and family visiting New Orleans in the future.

My wife and I had Loretta as our guide for a tour of St. Louis Cemetery 1. She is such a wonderful person, thoughtful of her guests, and a fantastic guide! She had a wealth of information about New Orleans, the cemetery, and so much more! I highly recommend Two Chicks for this tour, and hopefully Loretta will be your walking buddy.
Joyce LaFontain
Our tour of the Garden District with Christine was a trip highlight! It was so simple to schedule our tour - even with a large group of 16 people! Christine provided just the right amount of information and context; we had some architects in our group, and she was able to quickly tailor the program to their interests on the fly. Look no further for the perfect NOLA tour guide!

Highly recommend Two Chicks for their variety of tours. We took 3 tours with them
over a four day trip ; the Garden District/ Lafayette cemetery tour, their French Quarter Stroll with a local, and the Dead Sexy Tours.
All incredibly different, yet the knowledge of each guide was just incredible, and each guides personality unique and entertaining.
Small groups also added to the enjoyment of these tours, allowing for an intimate experience, with plenty of time to get answers for my many questions!
Highly recommend two Chicks and can’t wait to return to take their other tours the next time!

Oh a recent trip to New Orleans we came across some sightseeing brochures. We were very interested in visiting the cemeteries so we looked into a tour and came across the info on the Two Chicks Walking Tour. Among many tours offered for different sights, we came across the tour for the cemetery. We registered for a tour that was offered the very next morning, we met our guide, Loretta-Maria Adkins at the company and we walked with the rest of our tour group over to the cemetery. She was very thorough and explained the basic rules and history of the cemetery. I was very happy to see that the groups are not large which allows everyone to be able to see and hear the guide. Loretta was very knowledgeable and answered each person's questions. She allowed plenty of time for the group to take pictures and read the headstones, and she shared stories of some of the more colorful people buried there. I would definitely recommend a tour of the cemetery led by Loretta-Maria Adkins.
Natasha K
Took my boyfriend in the Dead Sexy Tour w/ Loretta & it was AWESOME! She has such great energy & knows her stuff. We learned a lot about NOLA history. While I didn't go on any other tours this has to be the best of both worlds: a tour of the oldest cemetery that requires a guide to get into AND a tour of the French Quarter: Storyville, where the ladies of the night worked. Loretta had great knowledge, was super fun. We both loved her!
Wally Segieda
The St. Louis Cemetery is the wealth of information! What a great tour! Loretta was our guide and she was personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Two Chicks for all your New Orleans touring adventures.
Mark Cain
My wife and I took the New Orleans walking tour of St. Louis Cemetery #1 with Loki today. It was pretty incredible to be with someone who had so many relatives buried there! His knowledge of the real history, the local folklore and the differences between was awesome. The explanation of the voodoo religion, the role that the Christian Church has had and continues to play there and of course, the story of the pyramid was so interesting. His love for his native city and respect for the dead (and disrespect where it was deserved) was just great. You know how it is to hang out with someone who knows everyone and knows everywhere to go? Well, that was this afternoon with Loki.
He even sent us all his preferred New Orleans History reading list later in the day. This is our third tour with "Two Chicks" tours and they continue to impress with how much we learn and how much fun we have. I don't know how they find such great people.

St. Louis Cemetery walking tour
We did not know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Our tour guide "Loki" lead us on a tour that was educational, entertaining, and unexpected. I would highly recommend Two Chicks!

Loretta was amazing. Super passionate, very entertaining. My wife and I were in town for our Anniversary and are so glad we booked the walking tour. Very well organized and learned a lot of interesting facts about the cemetery history and Storyville. Definitely recommend, ask for Loretta.
Michael Mustin
Loretta was our guide and did a tremendous job. She wanted the best for our group so much so she actually went a little over our time to make sure we understood all of the information. It was like walking around with a local celebrity too. People we passed would shout in praise of Loretta. A truly great experience and definitely one of the highlights of New Orleans.
thibhome
Loved this tour! Christie was a fantastic guide. She was very informative about the history of New Orleans and made the experience enjoyable even in the 100 degree heat. 2 hours went by very quickly! We will surely book another tour with them!
Mary Moran
I had a very informative and fun French Quarter Stroll with my awesome tour guide Loretta! She shared many interesting facts about the history of New Orleans, and gave me some good tips on sites to see and things to do on my next visit. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Loretta and Two Chicks Walking Tours!
Mari Davila
We booked the Cemetery Tour during our stay in New Orleans. 45 minutes prior to our tour, we received a text from our guide Loretta confirming our meeting location, time, and tips on how to find her and her "pink hair". When we arrived she immediately greeted us by name and explained what to expect. The tour was absolutely amazing! She was animated, hysterical, and thoroughly informative. Our tour was originally for the 1 hour and then she had a secondary tour that followed ours. We immediately signed up for the extension without even thinking about it. We knew we wanted to continue on. We were so glad we did! Loretta followed up with us after the tour and offered some names and information about the things she spoke about including books, names, and places to visit. We would highly recommend this tour company!!! Thank you Loretta!!!
Flo
Great tour of the garden district and cemetery. Our tour guide Loki was awesome and very “tied in to the city”. Loki was very knowledgeable as he has deep roots to the city. Would definitely recommend to anyone who visits New Orleans.
Maria Gomes
Our guide Loretta was amazing. She provided many historical facts and great stories about New Orleans and its people. I was also pleased with additional information she sent, upon my request, after the tour. Will do this tour again for sure.
Erin Fox
We took the Gracious Garden tour with Moira and the Dead Sexy tour with Val. Both were incredible! The ladies knew so much about NOLA history, and were a heck of a lot of fun to spend time with. When we come back to NOLA, we'll plan on more tours with Two Chicks. I really appreciated the accommodation of the company with scheduling issues too. Sometimes it's hard to know if you're getting a good tour, and after two with this company, I don't think you can go wrong!
Adam Biggs
Took the Gracious Garden District tour with Loki. What can I say... Amazing! From Loki's own personal history as an 8th generation New Orleanean, to his knowledge of Lafayette and surrounds I was thoroughly impressed! Not too heavy on the walking side for those who may have concerns, just have to watch those ankles as sidewalks aren't very flat! Would recommend this to anyone wanting to see more of New Orleans or simply to learn some history you're not necessarily going to get elsewhere!
Stephanie Sorgi
We booked the Cemetery tour with Loretta & it was terrific & the highlight of our weekend visit! Loretta was knowledgeable, entertaining & very personable. We got a pre-tour text with what to expect & a follow-up email with highlights of what we saw & recommendations for restaurants & tips. Will definitely book another tour with Two Chicks & hope to have Loretta as our guide again!

Great walking tour of the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery #1 !
Loki was our guide and was engaging, knowledgeable, and entertaining! I highly recommend him, and I recommend the tour. It so much enhances your experience while visiting the Garden District! We took the streetcar from the Central Business District. Couldn’t be easier.
Caitlin Jo Ramsey
Tour of the French Quarter with Karen was great! The length of the tour was just right to get some exercise after lunch and learn about the historical landmarks, the history of the city, it's layout and architecture. We also saw some great Halloween decorations on private homes! Definitely recommend this in the Fall when the weather is nice.
Simmie Border
Amazing tour. Small, personal, chock full of history. We did the St. Louis Cemetery #1 tour and our guide, Dannal, was fantastic! The meeting point was really easy to find - right by a local coffee shop Backatown Coffee Parlour. This was great because we could grab coffee and a bite, and use the restroom before (and after) the tour. It’s clear that Dannal and the Two Chicks organization care about what they do, and love this city. Absolutely recommend!
Kelsey Roark
Our group was very impressed with the knowledge and honesty from our guide Christine. The topic of discussion was open, and up for conversation. I love the fact books were brought along to point out facts and act as a visual. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a New Orleans history tour.

Though I've been to the city many times, I had never been in the famous St. Louis Cemetery #1, so I was very excited to check it out. I didn't realize that the archdiocese had recently extended the hours, so I was able to schedule a 3PM tour which isn't available with most other tour companies. With the hour being new and it being a weekday, I was the only attendee. Mike did a great job, I learned so many interesting facts that I'd never heard and a ton of detail I never knew about the common stories we've all heard a little about. I know you must have a licensed tour guide to enter the cemetery, but I think it's also the best way to visit anyway...the place holds a lot more meaning when you get the stories that go along with them. It was a lot of fun not having a crowd, too -- I got to ask all the questions I wanted, and we were able to visit all the key points before they closed the gates. I will definitely be taking another Two Chicks tour next time I'm down.
Erik Bosse
I had a wonderful time on the St. Louis Cemetery #1 tour. Our guide, Loki, provided an entertaining and informative commentary of the historic cemetery. The depth of his knowledge of local lore is impressive and he was quick to provide intriguing and insightful answers to any questions thrown his way.
Frankie Tan
We had a large group of about 20 rowdy businessmen on our ghost tour of the French Quarter and Miss Loretta handled us so well, keeping everyone entertained and together throughout. Her sense of humor and detailed knowledge kept us all engaged, and even included a bar stop when we needed refreshments. She had the perfect balance of storyteller and historian, and happily answered all our questions. I’d love to tour with her again next time we’re in town!
Mad Mak
We took the French Quarter walking tour with Carmel. It was fabulous and I highly recommend it. The stories and history of the city were very interesting and made our trip more fun. We later stopped at a couple different restaurants/stores that were recommended along tour and all were great. The tour size was perfect and allowed for everyone to ask questions and interact as we walked from one location to the next.
Michelle Pincus
We took the Brothels, Bordellos, and Ladies of the Night. I loved it because it was a unique topic but so central to the history of New Orleans. We had Christine as our guide and she was fantastic. This company is the best because they don't overbook. They always have just a few people and it's so much easier to ask questions and get to know the guide. Definitely go with Two Chicks!
Ashley Spellman
This was such an awesome tour. We actually passed it by accident the day before at the St. Louis Cemetery #1. We decided to return the next day. I can't remember our guides name but she was tall and had long brown curly hair and she was AWESOME. She is local and knows so much about the area so not only do you get an awesome tour and to learn EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW about the way New Orleans buried their dead, but you get a history and learn so much culture on New Orleans. Will be doing again in July when my best friend comes.
Maddie
This tour was fantastic. Our guide, Loretta, was extremely knowledgeable and made for such a fun tour. She kept in touch with me the morning of, made sure my group knew where to meet. I would highly recommend her. She answered all of our questions and was all around wonderful! Some other tours were happening while we were there, and just from over hearing a few guides from different companies, I could tell we lucked out. Two chicks is definitely a great company to use!
Arlene Jacobs
I used two chicks walking tours for two different tours. First the St. Louis cemetery with Karen and then the garden district and Lafayette cemetery with Loki. They were both fabulous tour guides! Very friendly and informative, not boring! Loki brings an extra special touch to the garden district as well since he’s a fifth generation local! Highly recommend them! Loki took this pic of me in the garden district! I got some great pics there as well! Follow my Instagram @arlenejacobsphoto to see more! I shot on film, so once the first lm gets developed, I will post photos! 😊
Magdalene Guerra
Carmel was an amazing tour guide! She had lots of historical facts and interesting stories about New Orleans, we learned a ton and had an absolute blast along the way.
Our group did the French quarter stroll, which includes popular restaurants and several historical locations and points of interest.
Carmel was very accommodating about bathroom breaks and water stops. If you come to the city definitely book a tour!!
Justin Young
We took the "Dead Sexy" tour which was made amazing by our perfect guide Loretta. It was an informative tour made all the more intriguing by her playful personality and deep knowledge of New Orleans history. We look forward to returning!
Kaivon mortazavi
We really enjoyed our walking tour of the garden district. Ren did a great job of describing the various architectural features/styles and history behind the various homes of interest as well as the overall history of the area. He made the tour fun. The included add on tour of the Lafayette cemetery was also very interesting. Overall it was very informative, fun, and educational. Highly recommend Two Chics Walking Tours of the Garden District and tour guide Jonathan “Ren” Scott.
Nathan Smith
While you can try to do a self tour, or walk around with the cheaper groups with 25 people in them, you simply will not experience New Orleans until you've tried these tours. We were lucky enough to have Loki for a number of tours whose knowledge of and passion for New Orleans was something to behold. The smallest details like what a gravel driveway means in the Garden District to why Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop is so very poorly named. Do as many of their tours as you have time for.
Tim Parke-Reimer
We went on two tours: French quarter and the St Louis cemetery #1. Both were very informative and entertaining. The group was small compared with other tours we passed. The French quarter tour was a good introduction to the city and have us lots of good ideas of things to see and do on our own.
tonja patrick
Great walking tour with our guide Loki. Lots of history and cultural information about New Orleans and the Garden District. Loki was a funny and engaging guide. At the end of the tour, he shared recommendations in the area. Looking forward to the further reading on the area he shared as well.
Whitney Kenny
Loki did an amazing tour! He was funny, energetic, and seemed to genuinely care about the city's history. So much interesting information. He encouraged questions. We did a ghost tour with another company and it had nothing on this! Well worth the money! If I ever get the chance to come back I will ONLY tour with this company, and hopefully we will get Loki again!!!
Krissi Morris
Highly recommended! We have done 3 tours this year with Two Chicks Walking Tours and they’ve all been great. Carmel, Gray and Miss Loretta have been our tour guides and all three were amazing! We love the small group size too.
Mary Swain
My boyfriend and I made a quick stop in New Orleans for one night and decided to do this the morning that we were heading out of town. We did a 9:00am tour of the St. Louis no. 1 Cemetery (definitely recommend an early morning tour if you're going in the summer). This tour was like nothing I'd ever seen before, it was so cool! Robert was our guide and he was great!! He knew tons about the history of New Orleans and about the Cemetery. We learned a lot about New Orleans and about prominent people and families buried here. I hope to be able to visit New Orleans again soon and do another one of these tours!
Katy Robertson
Christine was a fantastic tour guide through St. Louis Cemetery 1. She was very informative, creative and happy to answer any questions about the cemetery or the city. As we walked by other tour guides in the cemetery who sounded like total goofballs, Christine was much more respectful of the cemetery as a place where you should respect and remember the deceased. When I make it back to New Orleans in the future, I will definitely look up Two Chicks for another tour! : )
Sarah Hammitt Colasurdo
I have a hundred good things to say about Two Chicks Walking Tours! It was seriously the highlight of our trip. It was my responsibility to organize a tour in the French Quarter for 10 ladies attending a bachelorette party in New Orleans and I was hoping that it could be just our group and perhaps customized. To my luck, Christine at Two Chicks was incredibly helpful at organizing and carrying out our tour.
We wanted a slightly edgy, sexy brothels theme for the tour with a few stops at choice historic bars around the Quarter and Christine totally delivered. From start to finish Christine was fun, spunky, and chock full of information and stories that were definitely not in your standard guide book! She really knows her stuff. She answered all of our ridiculous questions with poise and a little cheekiness and we had a ball the whole time. She was very sweet in handling requests for taking tons of pictures of the group along the way. She also accommodated our schedule so perfectly so that we got in a few cocktails along the way and dropped us at our dinner location right on time for our reservation.
We have awesome memories of this tour and I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a unique tour experience!
Angela O.
I absolutely loved our tour of the Garden District! Our guide, Loki, provided the perfect amount of historical details, folk lore stories, and personal experiences. I would definitely book through Two Chicks Walking Tours again.
Edward Fox
As part of our first trip to New Orleans, my wife and I took two tours with Two Chicks Walking. We took the Gracious Garden tour with Moira and the Dead Sexy tour with Val. Both were well worth the investment and Two Chicks Walking earned our appreciation by working with us on scheduling and allowing us to reschedule when a conflict arose with one of our tours. Moira and Val were knowledgeable, welcoming, funny, and incredible ambassadors for the company and the city of New Orleans. These were two of our five tours taken while in New Orleans and we would absolutely recommend this company, and either Moira or Val, for whatever tours you're interested in.
Joy A
Lovely tour by Miss Loretta! We (boyfriend and fam in toe) were lucky enough to be the only ones that evening so Loretta gave us a private tour treatment! Her knowledge about NOLA ‘s ladies of the night was superb and we learned a lot on top of having great fun- this lady is seriously talented in storytelling! I’d recommend this tour to anyone who wants something different from your usual ghost tour in New Orleans!
Ryan Brohman
Wife and I took the Garden District walking tour with the guide Loki. It was excellent from start to finish. Loki was friendly and had a tremendous amount of knowledge on local history. He also had some great recommendations for dining that we took him up on. I'm not sure if we just lucked out or if it's typical, but our group had only 8 people in it which was perfect. We came across many other tours that were 20+.
Anji Peacock
Miss Loretta was our guide through St. Louis #1 this morning and in a word, WOW! Not only does she know her stuff, but she adds little interesting tidbits that you won’t get from another company. The best part about it was our group was super small so it was like walking through with our very own guide to New Orleans! I highly recommend ‘Two Chicks Walking Tours’ for any of your tour needs, and if you book, do yourself a favor and ask for Loretta!
Yevgeny Yontov
We took the Garden District Tour which included the Lafayette Cemetery. Wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend it if you're visiting New Orleans. Moira, our guide, was very knowledgeable, and she made the whole thing very fun.
Carol Imber
Karen took us all around Bourbon Street and other associated areas giving us very colorful history. She stayed later than the tour required time and recommended several books on NOLA history. We enjoyed our visit and tour so much.
Jean O
Two Chicks Tours were the best guides that I used in New Orleans. The Guides are well informed on the history of New Orleans and share it with their tourists in an entertaining and amiable fashion. Stacey and Karen were generous with their knowledge and great in their manner and presentation. I give them 5 stars!
J J T
Awesome tour. We luckily had an early tour and had Loki to ourselves for the St Louis cemetery tour...as a native, he knows all the good stories & then some!!! He was amazing!! I highly reccomend this tour company & especially recommend Loki.
Mattelyn Tharpe (Mattie)
I cannot say enough great things about this tour! We did the Garden District tour with Loki and he was spectacular. His presentation and information of the neighborhood and cemetery was spectacular. I would take the same tour again because it seems like he knows too much to do the same tour twice.
Katharine Young
We had a blast on Christine’s french quarter tour! She was incredibly knowledgable, kind, adaptable, and professional. She showed us some real New Orleans magic. I would take any of these tours and recommend them to everyone I know! Truly a wonderful experience, there couldn’t be a better way to see New Orleans. It’s an afternoon I will always treasure. Thank you again!
Carl M. Gilbertsen
Solid, fact based tour that is still incredibly entertaining.
One of the problems that I have with tours in New Orleans is that I feel like a lot of these ghost and vampire tours are just kind of incidental to the real history that happened in the city, so what I wanted to do was find a tour that had a little more "social science" and the "Brothels, Bordellos and Ladies of the Night" tour fit the bill.
This tour definitely had that, focusing on the women in New Orleans who were trying to make a living, in the oldest profession, and their material realities, while not skimping on a good story. I feel like Loretta has the right approach which is that "reality is entertaining enough", at least that's how I took it. Great tour, highly recommended.
Mackenzie Harper
We toured the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery with Loki as our guide and we had a lovely time! Unfortunately it rained for the majority of our tour, but Loki did an incredible job of keeping us entertained and informed despite the unfavorable conditions. We would definitely recommend touring with Two Chicks!
Jenny Zahara
The Brothels, Bordellos, and Ladies of the Night tour with two chicks was the highlight of my wonderful 3 days in New Orleans. Loretta was fabulous. Great story teller, very knowledgeable about the city and answered any question anyone asked. I would come back to New Orleans just to take another tour with her.
Cathy Wise
It was a fun easy walking pace tour. Christy was very good, has a good speaking voice, lots of interesting facts & history about the garden district homes. I loved the tour! Christy was great!!
Caitilin “Cait” Rowe
Loki was an incredibly fun, knowledgeable, and animated tour guide. We were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour and so Loki went out of his way to cater the tour to our personal tastes. His impressions of 90 year old creole grandmothers had us on the brink of tears from utter enjoyment. I will be recommending him to everyone I know and requesting him for future tours. By far the best walking tour I have ever participated in.
Meghan Dinkle
I took the St Louis #1 cemetery tour, and it was well worth every penny. The tour was informative and entertaining! Even though I’ve been to the cemetery before, Two Girls taught me things I didn’t know. Highly recommended!
Kimberly Durkin
Ren was our guide, as we toured the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery. He was very informative during the walking tour and had a great personality. We learned about the history of the houses, the architecture and he incorporated his knowledge of the civil war to give a great perspective on the history of New Orleans. We also spent a good amount of time at the Cemetery and learned quite a bit. I would definitely recommend this company if you are in town. Wear good walking shoes and bring water!
Chad Mills
On 8/1/2019 my wife and I went on the Dead Sexy walking tour. It was a great experience and so informative! Val is the greatest! She is so fun and tells the history in a way that shows she's just as excited to tell it as we were to hear it. I did do other tours while visiting, and this was by far the best! We cannot wait to come back and schedule more tours.
Hayley Horbal
We just did a cemetery tour with Jamie from Tow Chicks. We enjoyed her stories and felt that she was very personable. There were several other tours going on at the same time with 15-25 people, we were happy with our small group instead( 6people). We would highly recommend this company.
Mayank Kedia
Took two tours with them. Dead Sexy (with Loretta) and the Garden district tour (with Loki). Cannot recommend them enough. Both Loretta and Loki are amazing story tellers and the two walks were the highlight of my trip to New Orleans (and this was during Mardi Gras !!). They always have a small cozy group. Do not miss it.
Emilee Myers
We absolutely loved Carmel as our guide. She is a wonderful story teller and kept us in rapt attention the entire tour. I came away with some pretty stories to relay about some historical figures. We will do this again. Highly recommend. Bring an umbrella for shade, sunscreen, and shades. It's hot!
lauren kocher
Loki was an excellent tour guide. He was passionate, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable of New Orleans history. Our whole tour group thoroughly enjoyed this experience with him. 5 Stars all the way!!!
Andrew Van Der Laan
We had an excellent tour of the French Quarter with Loki - he was the perfect guide to engage our middle and elementary school kids. He enthralled them with tales of pirates, vampires, fires, and all the history they could want. And all the adults on our tour learned something too!
Definitely recommend this company and Loki in particular - he is New Orleans personified.
Hailey Taylor
Took the morning tour today with Loki. He took care to make sure to find shady spots for us to stand, considering it was hovering around the mid 90s. He was incredibly knowledgeable and told stories in an animated and fun way. You can tell he loves his city through his enthusiasm for the subject matter. Would recommend this tour for sure!
Amanda Haig
We did the St. Louis Cemetery #1 tour with Loretta and she was absolutely awesome! Very knowledgeable about the cemetery and New Orleans in general. Our group would definitely do it again!
Molly
Christine was excellent! She told us neat stories, explained architecture, foliage, and even where to find the best free air conditioning in the French Quarter! She was thoughtful to find shade and seating on the route too - 10/10 recommend!
rina takeda
We booked the Cemetery tour with Loki and he was great! We were lucky to have him as our own personal tour guide and even though it was hot as heck, we had a great time that the hour tour went by so quick. Wished we stayed an extra day to book the other tours. Can’t recommend him enough :)
Zi Tian Zhang
I had the cemetery tour with Loki. He was great, incredibly knowledgeable as his family has been in New Orleans for almost as long as New Orleans has existed. I don’t think I could’ve had a better experience. Would definitely recommend!
Joe Andre
Loretta is an amazing story teller who led our group on a walking tour for over two hours in the French Quarter. She brought the past to life, telling the history and famous figures who built New Orleans, Jackson Square, into what it is today; one of the most colorful and culturally rich places in the United States!
River
The Two Chicks Walking tour of the Garden District was an excellent way to start off our trip to NOLA. Loki made the experience so memorable because of his intimate knowledge of New Orleans’ history, traditions, and culture. You can walk around yourself, but you’ll miss so much. Take the tour!
Keegan McMahon
Our favorite part of our trip! Our tour-guide, Ashton was knowledgeable, extensive, and entertaining. This is a great way to learn about the history of New Orleans as well as have some fun! Very highly recommend!
Virginia Campbell
Last week I had the pleasure of taking a fun and facinating tour of the Garden District with Two Chicks Walking Tours. I'm local, and I've avoided taking my out of town guests on group tours because they seem like cattle calls, but I heard good things about Two Chicks gave it a whirl.
With the small group size, it felt as though we were on a private tour. Our guide, Christine, was knowledgable and very entertaining, and I was excited to learn new history about my much loved city. It was personal and affordable, and I will be sure to take another of their offerings when friends visit next.
K D
I took the French Quater and Garden District tours. Both tours were great, as was our tour guide. Highly recommended. Swiss Chick
Sabrina Chan
This is a great way to see New Orleans. First off, you are supporting jobs for locals. Second, they have great stories and insights. Third, you get a better feel for the architecture compared to just driving by. This is my 3rd time in New Orleans, i plan on coming back and i will still do the walking tour. Every tour guide brings something new, and by going to these tours you are helping the local economy
Katina Snider
Loretta was the best!!!! Knowledge, sense of humor and experience!!!! Trifecta!! Sexy Cemetery tour was amazing. And to top it off when I asked for reference information she said, no worry.. I will send out an email with everything!!! Love it and highly recommend it!
michael klein
What a great tour! Loki was the perfect NOLA guide - quirky and knowledgeable. Great donuts at the starting location. Loki also gave a great lunch recommendation for gumbo at Gris Gris. Even the folks at our hotel singled him out as the guide to have.
Razor Switch
Went on the Ladies of the Night tour and liked it so much that we came back the next day for the Garden District tour! The small tour sizes made for a very personal and informative experience - Christine was full of recommendations about where to go and what to eat, and was great about answering all our questions.
Courtney Bullock
Choosing the right tour when my friends come to town is very important to me. I chose 2 Chicks because I see Christine all around town so I know she's very up-to-date with what's going on in this city. I wanted a tour from someone who not only knows about the history and nuances of our city but can let us know what's happening around town (if I don't know myself). My sister and 22 year old niece came and we did the brothels /bordellos tour and it was fascinating. We all learned a lot and now I want to learn even more. Another time a group of people came to town and we privately booked a cocktail tour. She customized the tour and we went to places I didn't know existed. Each place seemed like a private showcase of special information created just for us. It seems personal and perfect. So I believe in each of the 5 stars I'm giving this rating.
Erika Dugan
My husband and I did a last minute tour with Loretta at the St. Louis #1 cemetery (apparently you can’t walk around without a tour guide anymore). We didn’t wait longer than ten minutes from walking in through the gates till walking on the tour. Loretta was so down to earth, knowledgeable, and funny! What an amazing experience!
Terri Poore
New Orleans plus this private walking tour might be more fun than anyone should have--but you should go for it anyway. Christine is so fun and personable! We did the tour toward the beginning of our vacation, and it set the tone for a great trip!
Rachael Pannepacker
Loki's tour through the Garden District & Lafayette Cemetery #1 was excellent. Lots of great stories & information about the neighborhood. It was great fun & far more interesting & informative than I was expecting. 10 out of 10, would do it again.
Jennifer Reppond
This was the best way to see NOLA in a different way. Whether it's your first time or 20th, you've not experienced New Orleans until you've taken a walking tour. Our guide was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and brought the fun! This is the tour group to book with!!
Patricio Provitina
A true New Orleans native touring agency. Our tour experience was excellent, the guide was knowledgeable of the Garden districts history, after all he grew up and knew the prior and current owners of all the houses. The tour was informational, entertaining and just a good old time! I highly recommend this company for any tours you do in this great city! Lesse le bon tomps rule!!!
Kent Haring
Garden District and cemetery tour taken 6/13/17. Our guide, Ashton I think, was GREAT! She was super informative. I would highly recommend this tour and guide! And would use Two Chicks for another tour! Great job!!!

My mom and I took the Dead Sexy tour with Miss Loretta. She was an incredible guide, very fun and knowledgeable! We had a great experience and highly recommend doing the Dead Sexy, or any tour, with Miss Loretta!
Rob Evans
We did the St Louis cemetery tour. Spoiler alert it’s not two chicks giving the tour but a guy. He showed up late and he could not get the check in system working so we started the tour late (although he did make up the late start time). He was unprofessional at times with members of the tour and other tour guides.
It was nice that they had a focus on small group sizes.

My mother and I had the pleasure of starting off our weekend trip to Nola with a tour of the French Quarter with the lovely Loretta! Best way to start a trip and can’t say enough about how informative and interesting Loretta was as our tour guide. I’ve been on other Nola tours with other agencies and this one takes the KING’s cake! Going on a 2nd tour with her tonight!
David Abrams
Awesome tour! Loki kept my family (11-77) entertained and informed. Thanks!
Jessica Gum
Loki was simply the best tour guide I’ve ever had in my life. His knowledge is vast and his ability to tell a story made the tour one I will never forget. He was born and raised in New Orleans and his love of the city shows.
Christopher Matthew
I had a Garden District tour last week with Loki who was GREAT! He's a local and had lots of behind-the-scenes info on the neighborhood. Educational, entertaining, insightful, fun. Was well worth every penny. Highly recommended.
Sarah Snodgrass
We did the Dead Sexy tour. Val was amazing, so genuine and extremely knowledgeable. She felt like a good friend by the end of the tour. It was a unique experience, and felt like she customized it to our group. A must do for your trip!
Melanie Allen
Great tour of the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery with Tour Guide Grey. She's an expert in architecture and her knowledge of the area shines through. We had a great time on this 2 hour tour and learned a lot about this neighborhood.
Ana Paula Bastian
Our tour guide, Loretta, was so knowledgeable and friendly! I had a great time learning more about the history of New Orleans, louis no. 1 cemetery, and Storyville- highly recommend!!
Mark Balsan
We did the Garden district tour with Loki. Loki is an amazing tour guide. He is a wealth of knowledge due to his family’s roots in the city. He makes sure you walk away with a great history of the city and plenty of laughs along the way.
anita becker
The cemetery tour was fantastic and our tour guide Loretta Adkins was awesome. She was super knowledgable and had a great sense of humor. I highly recommend taking this tour with Loretta, you won't be disappointed.
J P C
Loretta was outstanding. Extremely informative and kept it very interesting the whole time. Knew the details of the cemetery inside and out and the tour time flew by; wish we had more time with her. Highly recommended and you won’t be disappointed.
Krystle Krantz
This walking tour is absolutely lovely and most enjoyable! We did the Garden District tour and had Ren as our tour guide, he was absolutely brilliant! He knew so much about each individual location but also knew so much history about the city itself! I cannot suggest this tour enough and it is such a fun and interesting way to get to know NoLa.
Susan McDaniel
My wife and I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the Garden District today. Our guide Loki brought history to life! We learned more than we thought we could in two hours. We highly recommend using the Two Chicks Walking Tours!
Maximiliano Grass
Loki was an amazing tour guide! Not only was he incredibly knowledgable but also very entertaining. He made sure to tailor the time spent in different sights/topics to our interests, performed hilarious representations of the characters he described, and made sure to keep it relatable by sharing his experience as a local as well. While listening to him narrate his many stories, I couldn't help but think "he's the kind of guy who would make sure any dinner party has interesting conversation!" . All that to say we very much enjoyed ourselves, learnt a ton about the history and architecture of the Garden District, and would definitely take other tours where he's the guide.
Elaine Frank
We were extremely pleased with our Garden District tour with Loki. It amazed my husband and I as to how much knowledge he had and how entertaining he was. Will definitely look him up again when we are back in NOLA! GREAT EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND! Thanks
Geoff Zapata
I'm not a guided tour guy, but was talked into it by my friend. I'm so glad I went, Loki was a great guide and a guy I'd love to have a beer with just to hear more of his stories! It times in as a 2 hour tour, but it feels like 30 minutes, you'll wish it were longer.
Adam Black
Happened upon one of the the 2 chicks on a day they happened to be closed, but she was more than happy to accommodate setting our tour up for the next day. Our guide, Loki, meet us 10 minutes early and supplied us with a wonderful afternoon that was entertaining and informative for the adults and mixed age children we had in our group. Would love o
To go back and have him do a different section of town next time!
Andree Bauer
Not a big fan of guided tours whatsoever! Kind of think they are generally a ripoff full of entertaining misinformation and tourist rhetoric. THEN I was talked into taking a walking tour through the Quarter with Two Chicks. OK! So I was wrong, again! Maybe this tour is just a one of a kind operation but what a great adventure. Our guide, Christine IS the French Quarter! A wealth of information that is verifiable, entertaining and a very fun approach to exploring facts about NO that were quite memorable. Her knowledge and life experiences in NO were such an asset to our soiree. My advice: Take her tour! Well worth the expense and time. Might take another tour with her tomorrow but for now; a cocktail!
Sheryl Woodhouse Keese
What a great way to know New Orleans - by getting to know Christine. She oozes New Orleans through and through and will be your best friend giving you the insider scoop on the city. You'll learn so much without even realizing it...such a fun creative personal not-at-all standard tour. Highly recommend. If you take a tour, take Christine's!
Walter Free
ive been on 5 tours since i’ve been in new orleans, loki hands down has been my favorite tour guide. is was apparent from his stories that he knows & loves new orleans. he had personal stories to go along with all the stories he told which made for a perfect tour guide. i would highly recommend two chicks walking tour, and if you have the option, take a tour with loki! walking for two hours in the heat sounds like it could be hell, but the time flew by! i could have walked and listened to loki talk for a few more hours for sure.
Nakeila Polk
I recently took the Two Chicks' Vixen of Vaudeville tour and it was amazing! Ashton, our guide and professional burlesque dancer, was engaging, knowledgeable and professional. You felt a part of the story.
I recommend taking a Two Chicks tour to visitors and locals. Its an experience you won't get on other tours.
Jess Doolan
Karen was a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide. We had a great time touring the garden district and learning all sorts of new factoids. We will definitely have to do another 2 chicks tour on our next visit!
Ryan Hodgins
We did the brothel tour and it did not disappoint. Val was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of New Orleans. She also gave us the ultimate local lowdown on places to eat and stuff to do, highly recommend.
Drew Fisher
Excellent tour! Our tour guide Richard had great knowledge of the city and turned the facts into stories that were interesting, exciting, and funny. I can't say I'm a big fan of tours -- I try to stay away from overly touristy places and activities -- but this was awesome! Thank you Two Chicks and thank you Richard!
Kaela Kelly
Jamie was a great tour guide. The cemetery was incredibly busy, but she made the most of it and easily maneuvered us through the crowds. Very informative and fun!

Kimberly Polito
We had a tour today with Karen, and it was everything all the reviews said it would be! She was extremely informative, and moved along at a pace where we could really stop and take in the sights. She happily answered all our questions, and made sure we got to see the Anne Rice related locations I was interested in!

Amy Morell
We took the Garden District and Layfette Cemetery #1 tour with Karen on 1/23. It was a group of 7, and she told us that Two Chicks Walking keep their tours smaller for both the guests and the guides. We greatly appreciated that as there were the regular sounds of the city that would have made it difficult to hear everything she had to say if the group had been larger.
We got to see a few Hollywood stars' homes, learned about the gates that surround the homes, and how they were ordered or manufactured, heard about some of the current events that are making history, such as the removal of the statues from around town, and learned about burial practices in the Big Easy, along with some etymology about phrases that we use today.
We only had time for one tour this trip, but will be using Two Chicks Walking when we come back for their other tours.
Wear good walking shoes for this tour, and bring some water. The sidewalks are a little uneven in spots, and while the pace is pretty leisurely, and she stopped at a coffee shop about midway through the tour, I got a little cottonmouth-y before the stop.
Brandi Mcclung
Our tour was awesome!! Lauretta was super fun and very knowledgeable! Wanda Sexton and I had a blast and got a ton of awesome photos. Thank you Two Chicks for a memorable experience!
Maria Guarnieri

“Loki” was our guide. We almost bailed because it was pouring down rain, but I’m glad we stuck it out. Plus, as it goes down here, the sun was shining when we got done.
Anyway, really good info on the history of the city, cool stories at the houses and in the cemetary. Really upbeat and entertaining. We had a great time.
Stacia Macchia

My daughter and I were greeted at the New Orleans airports (starting with details on the origin of MSY airport code) … and were off-and-running care of Christine Miller for her Stone Cold tour. Within minutes we were at the Old Metairie Cemetery to see famous stone art. Christine covered interesting local history while highlighting extra special gravestones, including the “Angel of Grief.”
From the Metairie Cemetery, we headed to the City Park for a picnic lunch of delicious local fare – Central Grocery muffuletta, Zapp's chips, and Barq's root beer. Little did we know we were only a few steps from the Sculpture Garden – the second half of our Stone Cold tour.
After telling us about the major donors, Sydney and Walda Besthoff (of K&B fame), Christine led us through the Sculpture Garden. Her pace was fast enough to keep things moving, yet she gave historical background on many pieces. The highlight was in front of Pablo Casal’s Obelisk (by French artist, Arman) when Christine had Casal playing violin on her iPhone… totally cool way to experience art. She asked what we felt other pieces were conveying – which not only put us in the moment, but also put us at ease.
The tour was about 2.5-hours in total. Hard to believe we covered so much ground and had lunch. When she dropped us off, I felt like “what a great way to kick-start our time in New Orleans.”
Vincent Valentino
We took the Garden District and Layfeyette Cemetery No. 1 with Steve. The tour was excellent, professional, and very detailed. We all had a blast and it left us wanting more, would recommend to anyone heading to the area!
George J Constance, Jr
A definite New Orleans experience. These gals know their history and where to go fun a good time in NOLA. That includes places locals eat and party. They also do themed tours like the Storyville tour. And it's pretty darn cheap too.
Marianne Ohanlon

Last Sept. l0 we were totally enchanted with Lorkie's tour. After listening to Lorkie you could become an expert on New Orleans fascinating history.Lorkie, who one day may very well become a famous writer, was wonderful and generous with his time and information in his effort to present the very best tour. No trip to this spectacular city is complete without taking Lorkie;s tour. Lorkie and the other fine people of New Orleans made this a great place for our dogs and us to escape the wraith of the eye of Irma back home.
