Reviews of Berea Tourism / Berea Welcome Center
SAK
Enjoyed L&N Day at the old L&N Depot today! Great historic depot with a lot of informative history about the place. There was also a very nice selection of model trains and toys from different vendors behind the depot for L&N Day. Was nice to catch a CSX train race by while there. Thank you for having this day. Looking forward to L&N day next year in 2023!
Gerty Finney
Gave us a small tour of the train station. Very friendly and amazing with kids who ask to many questions. 😅 …
Elizabeth Anderson
The people at the train depot were extremely helpful, and very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area.
Michelle M Tucker
Welcome center in the heart of Berea has ample parking, museum, court yard, benches, tourist maps, city legend information, history details and several local artist galleries. Three unsettling hand sculptures are located in the courtyard of the Welcome center.
Susan Jones
Berea is Charming, beautiful, and very interesting! I can't wait to go back and explore more and check out some of the beautiful art from the local artisans.
Katlin Johnson
Wonderful and cute little community and cute stores! $$$

Awesome fun on second First Friday! Amazing music, food and crafts. Great family night out and eco-friendly! Always ALWAYS a good time. 5🌟when you let us enjoy longer than 10 pm! …
Michelle Quarry
Wow..the best advice from Miss Wendy. Everything she suggested we tried! Dinner bell restaurant was excellent. We really enjoyed her conversation and the lovely town of Berea! Shout out to Tim's woodshed next to welcome center 😊 …
Della Bates
Beautiful place to shop, look, walk and exercise the dog! Get an A plus for cleanness!
Duck Man
Beautiful lay out. Peaceful as close to the interstate as it is. Be cool if they were open 24/7 but they close fairly early and if travelers need a rest room. You have to leave there and go to one. They have some beautiful art work items in there that is just down right cool.
Ella Spence
Love coming here and looking through all of the local crafts .
Michelle Diesterhaft
I wish I knew her name. The knowledgeable nice lady at the visitor center was AMAZING!! And directed us right to where we thought we might like to go. She knew a ton about the artists, and the upcoming events. So HELPFUL!
Mary Pettiford
Great shop ! Love those coal art and quilts!
Cathleen Kahler
Awesome experience! A must go to place. Wonderful artesians who will custom make orders. I can't wait until my hand crafted rectangular Beachwood cutting board arrives. I am being sent pictures before it arrives! Amazing.
Damon Carden
Stopped by here 15 minutes before they closed and they took the time to show us around and talk about the town and college. Very nice older man. Stop in and check out a beautiful artist and craft person town in the Kentucky hills. The college and local houses are fantastic.
Laura Licht

Lots to see and explore. Very clean. Friendly staff. Not far off I-75.
Davida French
Local employees were pleasant but overall a very disappointing trip to Berea. It was on a Monday and lots of shops were closed. Arts and crafts that were available seemed out of date, not contemporary designs. For a tourist town it lacked energy. Bartender at Boone Tavern was awesome and very pleasant.
Debby M
An amazing place to visit. Wonderful Artisan crafts that you can't find any other place.
Clark Ford

Very informative and welcoming staff. They do a terrific job and usually have no less than one event going on every week all year long, but from spring through fall, they keep a pretty full calendar of events which appeal to all ages, especially on the weekends. Most of these events are held out front on the lawn which is large enough to seat many, but small enough to remain cozy. Tip: although there is usually some seating available for the events, there's never enough, so you may want to bring your own lawn chairs or blanket. I especially like that there's real bathrooms available during their events!
Ed Blanton
Interesting hand crafted items and friendly staff. Recommended neighboring places also.
David Meek
It wasn't open for some reason on a Saturday afternoon I figured it would be open so I guess it's not though nothing was open so that's why they only got three stars not five but I did get a train on the back of it so that was that was awesome
UD Pharmer
Quaint town, great educational concepts, craftsmanship, co-op college and more. So many arts and crafts to look at. Boone Tavern was so delicious. Love the multicultural feel of this town and area. Would highly recommend a day trip!!

Loved visiting Berea and looking at all the historical sights. And of course I enjoyed looking at all the crafts that the very talented artist have on display. I even had to purchase some. Lol. If anyone is thinking of visiting I urge you to do so. We have lived in Lexington for 30 years and our vacations were to Florida, South Carolina, Hawaii, and back home to California. When family came to visit they were asking about our local attractions and I had to admit I hadn't been to most of them. I always said we would visit one day but as I age I'm running out of days. So each year for the past 3 years we have done day trips to local attractions. It is amazing what we had been missing just down the road. With an artist and history professor in the house I'm ashamed we hadn't visited long before now.
