Reviews of Belle of Louisville Riverboats
Hazel LePage
What a fun and affordable family adventure. We caught a river boat ride on the Mary M. Miller and it was a nice relaxing 1.5 hours. There are three levels on the boat. The first level is fully enclosed with tables and chairs, air conditioned, and has a bar and concessions. The second level is also fully enclosed with tables and chairs, air conditioned, and an open balcony that has seating all the way around. The third level is a fully open but covered area with tables and chairs. The gift shop is quaint and the area around the dock has great opportunities to explore additional activities in Louisville. When we went, parking was in Blue Wharf section and it was either $10 or $15.

The belle of Louisville is a marvelous place. Not only is it a good place to learn a little about the Ohio river and the rest of the history of the city, but the boat is beautiful and their gift shop has plenty of things in it that are priced fairly for memories and fun. Me and my wife went on the afternoon trip, however we wish that we chose the sunset trip. The afternoon trip was still very nice, the staff on the boat and in the gift shop were very patient, friendly and welcoming. The drinks weren't outrageously priced, nor was the food. The tickets were also financially friendly for people who aren't trying to go broke just to take a ride on the water. Top deck seats are definitely the way to go if you'd like to get the most views out of your get away, they have seats; However me and my wife walked the boat the entire time just to see everything on the boat, land, and river.

We had an excellent 1 hour tour. Just the right length. Boarding is 30 minutes before sailing so arrive early and get your seats. Any side is good but I prefer starboard (right hand facing forward). The top deck is outdoor (best views) with the rear 3/4 covered so no direct sun. Park in the wharf parking lot ($3 for 3 hours or $5 for 5 hours) as close to the ship as you can.

Had a fantastic Sunset Cruise on the Belle of Louisville on 6/11/22 with my group of 5! Boarding and check-in was very fast; we arrived about 45 minutes before castoff. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food on board is pretty reasonably priced; Got a 24 oz soft drink and small (but still pretty good-sized) popcorn for $7, and there are regular drink specials. This is a great trip to take with groups, since there's generally something to do but it also provides plenty of time to just hang out and visit. Highly recommend a trip if you're in town!
Karen Brickey
It was a unique experience. Relaxing. The meal was good. A nice ride down the Ohio river. The only thing I would change might would be someone going around offering drinks for sale instead of having to go to the bar to buy them.
Overall I would do it again if in the area.
Kathy Condon
My only regret was that I was not in Louisville when the boat was operating.
I kept thinking how fun it would be to have a day long retreat on it. Ballroom would be great...then plenty of deck space for break time.
It has so much charm and nostalgia abounds for history is documented on the walls.
Full bar and snack bar available as well. Check their website for regular schedule and special events.
Kiran Lenz
Such an amazing value and experience. Was extremely impressed with the size, openness, cleanliness, and availability of different seating depending on your preferences (inside vs. outside, tables vs. booths, front vs. back, covered vs. uncovered, etc.). Have a very good variety of concessions available as well.

Nice hour boat ride on the Mary M. Miller. This meshed very well with the tour we'd just had at Locust Grove. We went during Juneteenth weekend, and they provided narration to explain how the Ohio River played a role in the freedom of the enslaved.
I recommend you buy your tickets & parking in advance. Also, the address that they give you is for Joe's Crab Shack, but the boat isn't docked there. Go down the stairs (next to Joe's), turn left and walk down to the docked boats.
Michele Moseley
This was a nice change of pace for us as busy travelers on an event filled weekend. I was in town for business, and wanted to experience the riverboat cruise. There were two options, a one hour tour and two hour tour; however, not both were informative, as I expected them to be. The one I was on(the two hour tour) had live musicians entertaining the passengers, but the entertainers, only joked and sang. There was also food and beverages available for purchase while onboarding.

Wheelchair accessible only to second level. We carried our teenage son up to the 3rd level so we could all enjoy the beautiful summer weather of the sunset cruise.
Wheelchair elevator only for one person so it may be difficult for special needs children with sensory difficulty to ride the elevator without a parent.
The Belle crew tried to accommodate as well as they could.

My Husband and I really enjoyed the Roaring 20's Sunset Cruise. Let's just say the sunset on August 28,2021 was beautiful! The cruise was perfectly long and coming back down the Ohio River into the Louisville, KY night sky was beautiful. We loved our time on the Belle so much on October 9,2021 we brought our family with us back for another sunset cruise. Another great time was had by everyone. The staff on the Belle we kind and professional. The services of boarding photography, drinks and snacks were all very quick. Even when there was a line to get something. The restrooms we super clean but yikes....super small for sure.
Stephen Sullivan
the real-world appeal of this historic steamer and the company that maintains it and other boats is the history, the engineering/science information, and the ambiance. It's not what music plays on a particular night. Let me also mention the Calliope! It's like a keyboard or organ that used to BE the music each night!
Jonathan Meadows
If you're looking for something fun to do with the kids, or a romantic night out with your partner, you can't go wrong with a trip on the Belle of Louisville.
The themed cruises are always a blast but there's something really special about their night cruises.
Kevin Parrett
This boat is over 100 years old yet is still smooth. Even better than a cruise ship on the ocean. Just a fantastic thing to do while in Louisville. I recommend.
Sean Evans
Took my lady out for her birthday and what a great experience. Friendly staff and surprisingly affordable drinks and food. I highly recommend making reservations. Great outing for the entire family.
Curtis Allen
Pretend you are Tom Sawer and Huck Fin. Take a ride down the Ohio river .. we took the day cruise , but they offer dinner cruises.. grab a drink and relax as you watch the river flow by .. enjoyed the sites along the bank .. I Evan got to meet the captain..
Karen Saylor
We had a Superb time !!!! The catering from Bristol was wonderful!!! We had roast, green beans, hot browns , potatoes , salads and cheesecake . They had a 3 member micro band that was good . We all ate the buffet at dock , listened to music , then later others boarded for the cruise . We pulled away headed up river for about an hour and a half cruise . They had drink specials and concessions, which were very reasonable. They also took our picture , when we boarded , which you could also purchase . And that was also very reasonable (5.00) . All in all our date night was a hit , and we loved our time aboard the Belle . Hope to do it again soon .
Dave Harlan
The sunset cruise was nice. The website says, “there are few things as lovely as Louisville at sunset,” which is an oversell, but it’s still a good time and worth doing once.
Scanlon Rush
I always love visiting the riverboats! I've been on the Belle many times since I was a kid. These were taken from the Mary M Miller, another great paddlewheel you should visit!
Jennifer Schied
Enjoyable, relaxing thing to do in Louisville. One star off bc of the need to blare music too loud for passengers prior to departing. Music during the journey was fun and added to the experience.
Roger Quinn
The Belle of Louisville and our coordinator Diane made our wedding magical. The venue was one of a kind. The slow cruise up the river and back at sunset was a much enjoyed break from the dance party which was a absolute success. Diane guided us to most affordable and positively reviewed vendors and we were not disappointed. Our wedding was exactly as we wanted it and while we never want to get remarried, if we had to do it again I don't think we could do better. Thank you Belle of louisville and staff for making our wedding day so perfect. - Roger and Amy

My husband and I had a great time on our Belle of Louisville cruise last night! I hadn't been there in years, and had forgotten how much fun it is. There was plenty of seating for everyone on board, and it was so cool to watch the sunset on the river. We did not have a reserved table and did not eat dinner on the cruise, so I can't attest to the quality of the food. We were still able to enjoy listening to the band from our spot on the upper deck though. All in all, it was a very nice evening!
Terry Faulkner
Took our 19 month old granddaughter on her first river cruise. This was a special children's cruise. The staff and crew went above and beyond, as always.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our cruise.
Daniel Wingfield
I doubt I can say more than what others have said, but this was a great time and place to have dinner. I personally thought the food was basic fare, but it was still good eats and the banana pudding was delish! The river ride and sunset was simply awesome! I would definitely recommend doing this.
SullenVex
We chose The Belle of Louisville to get married. Captain Joe Kenny was great. Thanks to Diane for organizing it and the crew who were there to be our witnesses.
Allison Roll
First time going for my brother's graduation party and his going away party for joining the navy we had the sunset cruise and it was really nice
Rose Cervantes
Fun place to go with family or friends. Small cruise on a River boat . Staff very friendly, everything was tidy and clean. Due to the pandemic we still had to wear our mask . It was super Heroes week. Kids dressed different characters and on the second floor they played games. I bought pretzel bread with cheese, Chile dog, and 4 piece chicken strips. I am glad my daughter returned my chicken strips because they were over cooked. They had no problem replacing them. Thank you for that. Your hospitality means a lot to me . So I’d recommend this place as a great place for locals or while visiting on vacation like me . It’s been fun.
John F
Cool little evening ride on the river. Booze and food on board to get everyone dancing to the live music. Had a great experience
Phillip Brown
I thought I had ordered 7 tickets , but I didn't. So when we got there I meet the Captain, and told him the story. So he made my sister honorary guest. What a nice thing to do. He is a really good example of the good people in Louisville. They will talk about that all the way back to Wisconsin.
Jennifer Jones
Loved the Belle! I would 100% recommend if you are in town even for a few hours. Spots fill up fast so try to plan ahead. It’s definitely worth the amount.
John Kurton
Great place to watch the Thunder over louisville. Air show happened right in front of us and was stunning. The perfect place to watch the fireworks. Drinks were reasonably priced and the bbq provided was ok.
Allison Hakes
We had a great time! We rode the Mary Miller boat. There was a bar with concessions, plenty of seating, a sweet lady telling announcing all the history of places along the Ohio River. Over ride was an hour long.
Tommy Leopard
Dinner served was great and it was nice to walk around and see the history. Good music and great views!
Theresa Deem
it was great, have lived here all my life, my 1st time on the Bell
night time was very pretty on the river
Paul Bray
Wonderful bit of history and a great time. Took my SO there as a surprise date and we had a wonderful time.
Pros: excellent views, cool breezes, nice music (we took sunset cruise). When I ordered a double rum and coke I got like a quadruple so that was nice too!
Cons: not much direction from staff once you get on the boat. One member of staff handed us an envelope and when we asked what it was said "It's the extras you ordered" in a "why are you wasting my time" voice. Small stairways in aft section only allowing one direction of travel but large stairway on the other side.
Overall, highly recommend. Plan to go again myself!
Patricia Myers
Awesome experience! We took my mom and had so much fun! She was visiting the United States from Colombia and loved it! We will do the dinner again!
Catherine W
Very neat experience, best thing I ever spend $12 for two hours on the cruise. Very enjoyable ride.
Dennis Stoops
Our "Picnic Cruise" was aboard the Mary M. Miller paddle-wheeler. Very pleasant 2-hour cruise on a brisk sunny October afternoon. Enjoyable with the only deficit being a box lunch they was tasty but neither the sandwich or sides included served at a preferred warm temperature. A pleasant adventure if you have never experienced.
Andrea Morales
Thomas went above and beyond to show us everything! His passion for the history of her was amazing!! An experience i will never forget!! Thank you so much!!

Took my residents on this trip and we all had a blast!!! The lunch was delicious and they made it very memorable. Only complaint was nobody was allowed to use the restroom 🚻 until we boarded the boat.so keep that in mind if you have elderly or Littles with you and you get there early. Other than that, we all very much enjoyed this adventure!!!!
Mattchew B
Great venue for a wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this classic vessel.
Stephanie S.
We enjoyed our afternoon sightseeing cruise on Mary M. Miller. The tour guide who pointed out landmarks along the river was very funny and knowledgeable. The attendants in the bar/concession areas were quick and friendly. We spent a bit of time on each of the 3 decks on the boat and enjoyed them all, but the top deck had the best view. We added box lunches to our cruise tickets and didn't love the wraps, they were just kind of flavorless. But we enjoyed every other aspect of our riverboat cruise experience!
Patrick Shirley
I really did enjoy the boat ride. Its a great experience overall. Its wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air as you travel along the river. There's only one thing that keeps it from being 5 stars. The loudness of the music. I don't care for the music but its the LOUDNESS of it that really mars the experience. Its so loud you have to yell to be heard even when someone is right next to you. The band members thing they are funny and they aren't. The boat ride is the star; the music should just be a pleasant afterthought and not as obtrusive as it is.
Tiph S
Enjoyed the boat ride. Even saw an Eagle fly across the river which was very cool!
Nathan Petosky
Great dinner and date night. Music was tasteful, food was tasty, and the views were wonderful. Gave a great perspective of Louisville.
Trina Strobel
We had a great time! Beautiful reflections on the water.
Andrew Hart
Fireworks were beautiful over the river. Beautiful boat with rustic charm. The staff is very professional and helpful.
Beth Jones
A fabulous way to end our week in Louisville. Beautiful views!
Eva Rebozo
Wonderful ride. I wish that there was an express line for drinks for those that bought unlimited sodas. Making a long line every time was discouraging to get more beverages.
Aubriana Colwell
I traveled with my service dog and we had absolutely no issues with her. The staff were very respectful and accommodating. Even offered her water!
This was such a scenic trip! Very pretty and relaxing.
***If you have a service dog in training I definitely recommend this boat ride! Although my service dog is fully trained it’s a great way to desensitize and train your service dog around all kinds of sounds, textures, etc. We encountered really loud whistling, fireworks, loud music, LOTS of people, steep stairs, tight spaces, and ofc the boat ride itself.
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
Bernie Dippolito
We went on the Sunday pirate cruise with our kids and it was AMAZING. It's still just a river boat cruise, but it was clean, inviting, spacious, and an excellent show. You could both enjoy the show, get a stick, a snack, and enjoy the ride. I'd recommend to anyone visiting Louisville with kids.
Kyle Cyr
The sunset Cruise was amazing. Had a great time, good entertainment, and views.
Tim and Cassie McCormick
We just visited and walked and viewed. Would love to take a ride and eat!
Jeanne Ceroalo
Folks, this is a bucket list item. She is on the National Historic Register and is claimed to be "the Belle of Louisville is the oldest operating Mississippi River-style steamboat in America, with only one other vessel of similar age in the world!"
Excellent crew and Captain. Smooth cruise up the Ohio River and back to dock. Total cruise about an hour and a half. Crew very helpful and were pleasant.
Kate Snell
Such an amazing experience for the whole family, young and old. Definitely order the lunch, get a nice drink, visit all levels and tip the band.
Melissa Gaddie
We took the short cruise on the Mary Miller today & had a lovely time.
There are activity books for kids, free popcorn, and interesting historical commentary during the cruise.
Great family activity for a pretty spring day.
Rhonda Allen
We had a great time!!! It was a nice, smooth ride and an amazing way to watch the sunset
Rebecca Rader-Hampsten
We love Belle of Louisville especially out of town family and friends they just love the experience
Amanda Barnwell
Such a relaxing time weather was great food was delicious everyone was friendly the band was great
Brian Ball
Enjoyed an evening cruise with a full crowd.
Very inexpensive ... $35 each after taxes and nominal preservation fee.
Plentiful but discreet security made us feel comfortable.
Bobby Conti
What a great trip! We barely felt like we were on a boat (i.e., the ride was smooth)! The prices for snacks and souvenirs were pretty good. The tour itself was informative and lovely. If there was anything I didn't like about it, it was that the Ohio River was filthy. But, that's not something the Belle can control. Lol.
Mike Adkins
It was really fun. Will do again if I’m in the area
Melanie Rudolph
Took a sunset cruise on the Belle of Louisville tonight ! It was wonderful! Highly recommend ❤️
Robby Smith
Riverboat Dinner cruises are back and affordable! This Riverboat has some history and stories to tell with Government Officials, Celebrities and the alike for over 150 years! Welcome Center Host was greatly informative and welcoming. Rich knowledge of the local history and these marvelous vessels. Well worth the visit and time!!!
Linda Collins
Enjoyed the day on the river and could see the changing colors of the trees.
Mark Stratton
Took two people it's never been on and we had a great time the music was really good and we had a lot of fun. I would highly recommend somebody going on the Bell Louisville has never been on. It's just a historical thing to be on it's over 100 years old.
Barbara Mueller
My church group went on The Mary Miller on Thursday. We had a great time as always. There were a LOT of elderly folks aboard. They seem to cater to them. I loved it.
Phillip Jackson
We did the evening cruise. The staff are really great, we went down to the engine room and had a really good chat with one of the engineers down there. He really gave us detailed of not only how the engine worked but also the history of the boat.
Elvis Dizdar
Weather you want to go on a sight seeing cruise or sunset cruise the Belle of Louisville is perfect for a romantic evening.
Jan Peavley
What an awesome experience!! The boat itself is wonderful, the food was great, the scenery along the river beautiful, and the staff was OUTSTANDING!! They were so pleasant and helpful, it just sent the whole thing over the top!! THANK YOU!!
Sara Olivencia
We went on a cruise with my daughters Girl
Scout Troop and it was really nice. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They made sure we were happy with our seats and even helped the girls move chairs so the could all sit along the rail together.
The concession stand was nice with a decent variety of food. We tried the popcorn and chicken fingers. There was a lunch buffet that smelled good as well.
They gave the girls a scavenger hunt to do that was fun and educational.
The cruise lasted 2 1/2 hours and the kids were happy the whole time.
Olivia Wilson
We really enjoyed the sunset cruise. It was a great date night! Loved getting to do something different and not break the bank for a night out.
Stephanie Cohn
We took a dinner cruise on the Mary Miller which is right next to the Belle of Louisville but slightly smaller. There was plenty of parking, it cost $3. The dinner was decent; served buffet style with salad, roast beef, fried chicken, green beans, pasta salad, potatoes, rolls and cake for dessert. There were several beverages to choose from including lemonade, coffee, tea and water. There was also a well stocked bar, though that did cost extra. I enjoyed the paddle boat punch, a delicious rum punch served in a souvenir glass.
The decor in the main dining room was a bit dark and very dated (think late 80s) but it did have some nice touches in the beautiful ceilings and old iron railings. The best part of the cruise by far was the gorgeous view of the river. It was so peaceful and relaxing to sit outside on the deck and watch the river go by. Though there was some dancing in the main dining hall during the cruise if thats more your speed.
All in all, we had a great time. I think its definitely worth doing the whole dinner or lunch cruise at least once. If I were to do it again, I'd probably visit one of the more updated restaurants in downtown Louisville then purchase the sightseeing ticket which doesn't include dining.
Thomas Finch
My wife and I had our wedding celebration here. It was everything we wanted and more. I wanted to specifically thank Diane Eisenback, who worked very hard to make sure the day went smoothly, and helped keep my nerves as the big day approached!
Bobbi Gargac
Great family outing! We all enjoyed the trip. We took the Picnic option. City BBQ was delicious and convenient.
Shelby Ensign
Booked the Steamboat Supper for a bachelorette party.
The governor shut down and reduced restaurant capacity before we went, therefore, we got moved from the Belle of Louisville to the Mary M. Miller--we were contacted before our dinner.
There wasn't much instruction once you got on the boat. We were released by table for dinner.
The ride itself was pretty neat. The "buffet" wasn't worth the 50 dollars. We could not serve ourselves (perhaps Covid-19 measures) and the assortment of food was a bit odd. Two of my friends found clumps of dirt in their wedge salad. They "assorted" desserts was just A dessert. Unsure of what exactly it was? Blueberries in pudding with cinnamon bread in the middle and a lime candy on top?
After our quick dinner we headed to the third floor which is where we stayed for the duration of our ride.
Overall, I would do it again but perhaps try the sunset cruise or the brunch. We did go on a rainy day so that was a bummer.
Megan Ebeling
Beautiful original steam powered riverboat- the oldest running in the world. This is a gem of American history and a humbling reminder of the significance of the riverboats on the Ohio River. Recommend seeing and taking the 3 hour river cruise.
Sunshine Hughes
We took a sunset cruise and it was wonderful! Nice comfortable seat spacing, almost everyone wore a mask, and the boat was very clean. It made a special memory for our special day
Dan Mackenzie
The boat was beautiful plenty of room beautiful views.. but they made us stand in line risking our lives with covid-19 so that they could take pictures to sell to us....
Jason Jackson
We took the sunset Cruise and it was a great time very scenic nice 2-hour long cruise they had a music act playing too it's a lovely time overall
Kevin Popeck
We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary (post quarantine) on the Belle's Brunch Cruise. The food was wonderful, the crew was outstanding and we couldn't ask for better sailing weather. Thank you to everyone with the Belle of Louisville for helping to make our (late) Anniversary very special and memorable.
Robin S
The Mary Miller cruise was reasonably priced, good food on the lunch buffet cruise. We had a nice spring mix salad, pasta salad, green beans and small whole potatoes, fried chicken and roast beef in a gravy with a bread. Also a few cake choices. All very good. The paddle wheel punch from the bar was pretty good as well. The crew were very nice and attentive. The DJ, Rick Page, was a real gem. It's an older interior with some wear, but was clean. A very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.
Lisa LeSaux
I booked tickets for the Cruise with Santa for the second year. Children enjoyed themselves. Santa was very engaging with the children.

2019 Mary M. Miller Thanksgiving Lunch Cruise
It's been a long time since I've been in town for either Thanksgiving or Christmas and my husband suggested that we eat out and this nugget came very late into October so most restaurants or other local events were already booked when I came upon the Mary M. Miller Thanksgiving Lunch Cruise so I booked it for two on October 29th and never looked back. I had no idea what to expect since after living in Louisville for more than 20 years we had never taken the cruise so I am very glad we had the opportunity to experience both the cruise and a nice lunch for Thanksgiving. The day was cool but the cruise was completely booked. The interior is toasty warm with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available. Tables were assigned and we were asked to enter the buffet line on a per table basis which worked very well and there was plenty of food for all on board. The scenery was enjoyable and the usual Thanksgiving offerings were available. I am a vegetarian and I just didn't see any note about contacting them with your meal choices so I just went heavy on the salad and enjoyed the other sides minus any meat. Desserts were a disappointment since my pecan pie was pretty inedible but it is a catered meal and this disappointment was more than made up for by the utter exuberance exhibited by the staff. They gave up their Thanksgiving with their family to provide service and it was greatly appreciated. There was dancing if you were so inclined. If you want to leave the cooking and clean up to others for Thanksgiving this is a great choice for couples and families alike.
Lee Heffner
Oh this is so fun for anyone! The staff are so kind and the views are great! The fellow passengers all seemed to enjoy themselves too.
Joe Kress
The dinner cruise on the Belle of Louisville was very enjoyable. Unfortunately it was a very windy day and the boat was not permitted to sail, but still a very enjoyable evening. Dinner was good. Greatly enjoyed hearing the calliope play before the cruise as well as the tour of the steam engine area.
Cindy Johnson
The Belle of Louisville Riverboat is a very relaxing and smooth way to enjoy the riverfront views of Downtown Louisville and Southern Indiana. There is an upper outer walk around deck as well as a covered deck equipped with tables and chairs for sitting. The Belle also has a lower level with hardwood floor, eating tables and a stage that can be used for various entertainment purposes, like a DJ or Karoake.
The crew is friendly and offers self tours of the 2nd lower level where the boiler room and steam engines operate the boat. The Belle has a concession stand that serves assorted refreshments and beverages. The Belle of Louisville can also be rented for private parties and group events.
Jennifer Jones
Beautiful Belle! This was my first time on the Belle of Louisville and it was amazing. This boat is just wonderful. They play music with what I imagine to be steam and its a very nice way to see Louisville. The prices aren’t that bad and you walk away knowing you’ve experienced a part of history. Just lovely 😊 …
Susan Biasella-Hohs
We enjoyed our Thursday dinner/ cruise up the Ohio river- decent food on open buffet ( chicken, beef, small red potatoes, rice, salads, green beans, rather dry cake for dessert) accompanied by a nice Senior DJ who narrated the ride and played comfortable music suitable for dancing. The warm weather made it lovely to sit on the top deck watching the scenery on both shores.
Personally, I would choose just the boat ride and skip the dinner buffet. There are many better restaurants nearby on 4th Street.
Michele Mills
Nice night on the river at a reasonable price but service at the bars for food and drinks needs to be addressed as much of the the time is spent waiting in line to be served. Too much of the cruise time is missed because of this.
Delsy Gaslac
I went yesterday for the salsa event and I was a fun/fabulous experience. The dancing floor is on the 2nd floor and on the 3rd floor we could walk around, bring your drinks/food an enjoy the views while riding the boat. There are plenty of seats as well 😊 …
Ian Grossman
Took a Mothers Day Brunch Cruise. Boat was full but everything was well organized and things flowed easily. There isn't much to see unfortunately. Barges parked along the sides, lots of construction, there were no wow moments. The boat itself is beautiful and very clean. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. There is something calming about being in the water.
audrianna powell
The boat cruise was amazing we super enjoyed it the food tasted like someone’s grandmas country cooking which was Delicious!!! Green beans well seasoned and mashed potatoes were amazing chicken piccata was perfectly seasoned as well the music was fun 80s music loved that we were able to roam around freely check out the boat and enjoy experience!
Johnny Looseround
had an excellent tour of the Ohio river on this boat. The bar was fully stocked with all the local bourbons and the food was excellent. There was a live bluegrass band that played and it was a great time. There is a great walk through of the boat where the furnace is and the paddle gears so you can see how it all works.
just wish they would have let us smoke cigars on the back deck of the boat.
Casimir40K Solomon
Lovely boat ride along the river.
There are two steam boats one of which is a diesel powered boat with a decorative paddle and the other is the actual Belle of Louisville which is an actual paddle boat. The band who were playing really made the atmosphere and the river gave a lovely breeze. The food was not exactly cheap but the staff were very nice. If you want to sit outside but sit in the shade I would recommend getting there quickly as it fills up fast.
adam rogers
Had a great time at on the outer deck to enjoy the night. They had music and dancing inside during this trip. If your on the outside be aware there are spiders everywhere along the rail and above your head. Had great views of the sunset and got at night
Tim “Pickone” Berry
There could be more public facilities closer to the area where you can use the restroom and sit down in a shady spot . I look forward to riding on the Belle of Louisville.
david b phelps
Good food, fun cruise, romantic time. It was a party boat and although we don’t drink we managed just fine. It’s at night and we enjoyed watching the other boats riding along side the loud music 🎼 partying boat. …
Craig R. Mottram
Boat ride was nice, dinner items were very tasty but because of the buffet rotation of being called up by table if you're the last half of the rotation forget dessert. Even when the guests were asked to limit one per person they took 2 plus. Need to handle it a different way. Maybe serve dessert assortments to each table.
Ash Nicole
Let me just say Jessica who was running concession & souvenirs was AMAZING! Great 2 hour cruise very relaxing. Great souvenirs that are budget friendly.
CONS: Not really handicap accessible definitely not going in the bathroom with a wheelchair. Food wasn't great eat before or after. Drink station for top deck doesn't refill the cups that you pay for to have the unlimited drinks. So you do have to go to middle floor for refills.

My family and I had a great experience on the Belle of Louisville. We decided to go on a sunset cruise, and we are glad we did. The boat is beautiful, the scenery on the cruise was enjoyable, and the weather we had for the evening was perfect. My 3 year old daughter loved asking questions about the boat and river, and my 1 month old son enjoyed the gentle breeze on the boat deck. My wife and I enjoyed just sitting and enjoying the cruise. The coolest part is that our kids were free! We will definitely be back and will be bringing our friends with us.
Gary Bishop
Great attraction in Louisville! Awesome sight seeing from the Ohio river. Make sure you check for reservations, one of the runs was sold out, but we were able to get on another trip about an hour earlier.
Shaquana Springfield
My husband and I took a tour on the Belle of Louisville for date night. We had a beautiful time. Very peaceful and romantic will definitely return.
Corey M.
I must do on your visit yoir Louisville. The sightseeing tour was MC'd by Tom and was amazing. Just from a two hour riverboat ride I learned some much about Louisville, Jefferson, IN, and the Ohio River. The views were amazing also!
Denise Shircliff Jett
Volunteering on the Belle and Mary Miller. Many interesting excursions! Loved being out on the Belle after dark on the Bluegrass and Bourbon tour. For locals, take advantage of the Throwback Thursday sunset cruise.
Jack Daniels Herald
The Belle ov Louisville can be a great night out together, boat ride with dinner provided. Or it can be s tourist attraction to the world to show Louisville's river history. I enyed my trip, and Thank Captain Drew and the staff of both a highly awesome Thank You and looking forward to other encounters.
She Ash
I only viewed the boats from land. Did not board them. The boats were nice to look at. The steam pipe music could be heard for many blocks away. Looked like the late afternoon cruise passangers were boarding.
Katie Davidson
Wonderful boat and wonderful experience. Nothing will beat it. I was gratefully disappointed by the music on the 1st floor though.. I was ready to dance but it was not the right music. Change the music and I’ll be spending every weekend there!
Sarah Myer
Took the lunch cruise today on the Belle of Louisville. Had a blast. The buffet had a nice variety and the dj/tour guide had a great time with everyone. The dance floor cleared after lunch and we had a great time on a rainy Kentucky day! Highly recommend this historic adventure!
Larry Williams
Just turned 61 a few days ago my wife a booked a cruise aboard the Bell of Louisville it was warm but with a cooling breeze made for some special memories.
LaKiesha Marshall
We had a great time. One recommendation would be to play music via pandora etc. instead of the live country music. This would reach all people on board better and they will enjoy themselves more.
Jordan Baer
The sunset and moonlight cruise did not disappoint. Make sure you get there early to get a good seat. Start on the side closet to the city for a good city scape then move to the front for the Big 4 bridge and Louisville Water Tower.
jason oates
Ok buffet good was nothing special , but I would just go for the sightseeing tour instead and save some money instead , staff were very friendly , car parking is acceptable but it was 3dollars , tour takes 2hours
M Jay
My family and I were there visiting Louisville this past weekend. We took the boat tour and the tour itself was great! Unfortunately we had to settle for boxed dinner, I assume because of covid, but at least the brisket was delicious. It was just a bit pricey for boxed dinners, almost $200 for my family of 5.
Connie Stevens
My husband and I had a fantastic time. There was a theatrical show centered around Edgar Allan Poe. The actors and actress were awesome!
Ronda Stewart-Wilcox
I enjoyed the views from the top deck. We ate dinner on the cruise. The hamburgers were cold. The fries were colder and very salty.
Nick Sea & Suzie Sea (The Dead Seas - Artwork)
My wife Suzie and I went on the Mary M Miller 2 hour tour on 8/28/22. We had a nice time and the fall weather was perfect for a relaxing boat ride up the river.
Nick Sea gives it 5 Butterfingers up!
Raja R
Good for a one time trip! Worth it! It’s better for vegetarians to take the sightseeing cruise instead of dinner or lunch buffet as the options are very limited for Veg.
Brenda Luna
Great places to walk by, or sit by and watch the sunset. We went into the gift shop and got some 50 cent postcard and $8 keychains that were beautiful. The cashiers were very friendly. We asked about being able to ride the Belle of louisville and we informed about where to buy tickets and that do a trip down the river and back. Seems nice
Jeremy Clingerman
Roughly 2 hour tour. We did the lunch tour, the food was eh, but the ride was nice. You couldn't even tell we were on the water it was so smooth
Mr A
A great experience! We went for a 3-hour tour and did not get shipwrecked.
Sirena Matthews
My wedding was on June 9th 2018 on the Belle and it was magical. Diane Eisenback the wedding coordinator is amazing and professional. She knows her stuff, and she is always there for you. Captain Drew Cederholm performed the ceremony and did a wonderful job. The Belle and their staff go above and beyond for you. I would highly recommend them for a wedding venue. Everyone had a great time. On the wedding day I didn't have any stress or worries that things wouldn't go as planned. Stress free!!!! Love this company!!!! I had an Indiana Jones themed wedding and they helped it come to life!!!!
Steve Buttram
A very pleasant trip about six miles upstream and then six miles back. We we're lucky and had a beautiful 74 degrees with clear blue skies. There is an onboard bar available. About 2 hours all together. We're going back!
don dep
How can you go wrong taking an old fashioned riverboat down the Ohio River? My wife was on knee scooter so her mobility was limited, but the staff was helful.
Diane White
AbsoDERNlutely!!! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!!
The crew and atmospheres were exceptional!!!! Even the guest shop ladies were very nice to us. Can't wait to visit again!
Sharon Elliott-Fox
Fun family adventure on our sunset cruise (although it was more a nighttime cruise as the sun was setting by the te we boarded). Hospitable crew, nice environment.
Sue Enoch
Loved it. Great entertainment and scenery.
Regenne Robinson
Waited to late to get tickets, dinner sold out on both boats. Still had a great time sight seeing on the Mary M. Miller. 7pm cruise is the best. Sunset views are gorgeous!
Jared Riggs
It was a really good experience and we have gone a couple of times for the different decade events they have. It was really fun and definitely family friendly!
Simone M
We did the picnic lunch cruise and loved it! So relaxing. We will definitely come again
Dereck De J
We had a great time for the wife's birthday dinner celebration, friendly staff and got some photos that you couldn't get anywhere else just a great time and experience.
Brian Shelman
Overall my wife and I enjoyed our dinner cruise aboard the Mary M. Miller. The friends we were with and the lovely December weather were the highlights of the evening. The low lights were over cooked chicken and "canned tasting" pot roast along with the bar being out of call liquors listed on their menu (e.g. Tito's vodka). The views and atmosphere made up for the lackluster food.
Johnny Spencer
We loved the ride very relaxing and romantic getaway. If you get a chance to go here you will love it too
Emily Grant
It’s a nice time with music and a beautiful sunset. We added the champagne and picture to our tickets. The DJ played good music suitable for everyone.
Tara King
Love the belle of louisville! Has history, friendly staff. And a beautiful view. One of the oldest still true paddle wheel boats around! Has a beautiful calliope
tamage foster
Man, I was totally impressed with my time spent on this River Boat!!! The atmosphere was amazing and my family and friends had an awesome time while aboard!!! We will definitely be returning real soon for another trip down the Ohio River!!!
C J
If you have never been on a river boat and you enjoy history then this is for you. My middle schoolers enjoyed the ride. My husband learned more about his home city. I've been on several river boats in Cincinnati. This boat is similar. The gem is the historian. She is a master story teller. They also have a gift shop with a nice staff.
Jesse Gosman
A very enjoyable Sunday morning. We had the breakfast also and it was good. Would recommend Sunday brunch ride
c parker
We had a beautiful day for our boat ride. We opted for just the sight-seeing. They have a bar and snacks that are reasonably priced. Smooth ride, not crowded, very relaxing. We were out for 2 hours, but you don’t go too far. I wouldn’t be opposed to going again, but isn’t something I would choose to do again.
Nicholas Gelston
Had a fantastic time an a sunset cruise. Amazing views and a really cool old boat. Definately worth a visit.
Lee Bolinger
Very cool dinner. Staff was friendly, pretty clean boat. Buffet was definitely worth the money. I would recommend this for anyone.
Skye Moshier
Had a wonderful time. The late night sightseeing tour was very relaxing and the staff was very nice. Just wish the deck seating was more comfortable.
G S
Had the pleasure of attending my nephew's wedding on board the Belle of Louisville. A fantastic piece of floating history.
Lance Hirsch
Nice riverboat cruise on Mary Miller. Food was very good, especially the chicken. Good service, nice scenery.
Parentis Krueger
Very fun boat ride! The bluegrass music by Ida Claire was fantastic touch! Perfect for a family quick outing. Super eclectic and accommodating. Concessions were not over priced and perfect for a quick boat ride. Everyone was so nice, including the guests!
J Paris
Fun ride, get to see downtown from a unique point of view. Didn't try food or drink. Historical gem. DJ was too loud, should have nice music on deck and leave indoor area for loud current music.
hali Hargis
Sunset cruise was amazing being in the front of the boat had a great breeze in the summer time . Workers did a great job
Wendi Earley
We had a great time! There was a duet playing music downstairs and they were a lot of fun. This was more of a cruise so if you're looking for a historical tour or guided tour, this one isn't it. But a real pretty cruise!
Denise Goodale
We took 5yr old twin Grandsons and all of us had a great time. The boys were fascinated with the paddlewheel
Linda Miller
Sundays they have a Pancake Breakfast Cruse on the Bell. It's 2 hours of fun food a little history, and $6 Bloody Mary's. Champagne $3. Breakfast was really good.
Richard Moore
Belle Brunch on Sunday is GREAT!!! 15 of us went and enjoyed great food while cruising on the river. Perfect weather too.
Chris Noack
First time taking the river cruise with the family for mother's Day and was very happy with it once we got moving on the river. The boarding experience slowed things down a little bit and the lines for concessions and drinks seemed a bit long but otherwise a great experience!
Linda Rudd
Loved my first belle cruise. My granddaughters first boat ride too. Wish hot dogs were hot. Loved the Irish band/music. My granddaughter thought it was the best music she'd ever heard & danced her heart out! She's a most 8 & might try a Irish dance camp this summer lol. Her parents were so happy watching her have such a great time.
Hands On Kreation
We got to finally take a steamboat trip this week, and it was worth the wait. We jumped aboard the sister ship Mary M. Miller and it was such a fun cruise. Took an hour long sightseeing tour and will definitely be back. Hoping to hop on the Belle next time and try that one out too. Staff was ultra friendly and everything from the tour guide to the jazz music made this a positive, memorable experience.
Lynn Adams
Great excursion!!! Buffet is a great suggestion, but it's still an adventure if you're just along for the ride.
Casey Payne
The Halloween cruise is a yearly event for my wife and I...always a great time!!!!
Etiene Pinto
Super cute ride. We went on the historical cruise and made my husband go all way upstairs. It was great. It add so much to the visual, I mean, we had this whole conversation how weird to have 2 bridges so close on a night before during the 4th July and it all was explained during the cruise. You need to walk to the end and watch the "engine" working. It's fantastic.
Robert Jones
While on a corporate business trip we had a dinner cruise on this Beautiful paddle wheeler. Taking it out on the river was fun. The view of the river cityscape at night was Beautiful. There is bar and souvenir counter. It would make for a romantic night with that special someone. Would definitely go again and take my wife. If in Louisville, put this on your to do list.
Rob Kerr
All the crew were so awesome! (Especially the new dude in the boiler room!!) The scenery along the river is so beautiful! The BELLE is kept neat and clean - even the engines!!
GREAT hospitality!
James Boneck
We had a picnic lunch cruise on the Mary Miller Sunday afternoon. Very enjoyable. It's a fun experience exploring the boat and seeing part of Louisville including the East End bridge. I'm looking forward to gathering more friends and doing this again!
Cass Moore
We had a GREAT time for my husband's Birthday! I just wish we could have gotten the correct answers on whether or not we could have brought food, his cake etc. But, the staff was so nice they hooked us with some balloons for him. Great time!
Corey Twardoski
First time visiting Louisville and decided to go for a river walk... Not the nicest I've seen, but the people were nice and the city was lively.
Sage Rollins
Great time. Could've cut the trip down to an hour and would've been happier
James Younger
Always a pleasure to cruise on the belle or mary miller! The belle especially has some of the friendliest staff and crew around!
Linda Roe
I love having the Belle of Louisville on the Ohio River here in Louisville. Whether it is enjoying a trip up the river on the Belle or sitting on the river bank at Captain’s Quarters watching her turn around and head back downtown, it just does not matter where you are - a passenger onboard or just watching this lovely old paddle boat is always a special treat.
Henry Basta
Such a cool adventure! Beautiful trip. Highly recommend.
Mary Lavender
She is the oldest operating steamboat in the world. Where can you ride up and down the river on a paddle wheeler and see such beautiful scenery? The Belle now has air conditioning, and a buffet is served if you want to go the expense. My grandkids loved the experience. The weather even rained at first. So, we had this wonderful mist blowing in the wind for awhile. It does have stairs you must climb, so you must be physically able to do this. You got to see the engine room what makes the paddles turn Wonderful experience turned out a great day.
Shelby Arnold
The cruise was nice, however the dinner was terrible. The menu consisted of constructing your own hot brown but they ran out of bacon before even half of the people were served. The other items offered, roasted potatoes and green beans were seasonless. The bread were bagged rolls and desert was a choice between derby pie or lemon or raspberry bars. If we ever decide to take the cruise again it will be the dinner less option and just order something from the concession stand.
Joe Farley
Great childhood memories of this boat cruise with the Belle of Louisville. Whenever I have friends visiting from out of town, this is one of the treats to take them too. Nothing like being on a steamboat going down the Ohio river. No matter what time of day, the view is awesome. I prefer the sunset time range myself.
Brandi Skaggs Goff
It was a lot of fun and the boat was beautiful. The only bad part was the lady that was working security was very rude.
Shannon Thomas
Beautiful. The ride was amazing. Staff is awesome. Highly recommend
Lee Gill
Love boating on the Belle. Nice sunset cruises.
Keith Noble
Great evening. A little warm on top deck, did not want to be on buffet deck. About 20.00 a ticket. Cheaper if you bargain hunt.
Kathy Bird
Absolutely delightful ride down the river on a beautiful day.Crew on board was pleasant. The singing entertainment was age appropriate and pleasing to the ears. There first song was Bugle Boy of Company B.
Bob Moberley
Great Cruise, very clean vessel, but the DJS music was way too loud. You could not hear the person next to you unless they were hollering at the top of their lungs.
Jose Antonio Del Solar
Take the 2 hour cruise, 10 dollars, you will enjoy it.
Edna Buchan
Great time with friends! The drinks were delicious and the food tasty!
Susan Carter
Our extended family had a great time! It would have been enhanced by inexpensive handout of things to watch for.
Ralf Baylie
Fun experience. I would recommend.
Remi B
Great atmosphere inside and out. Loved the boojie brunch, highly recommend and will do it again!
Lea Druck-Moore
Great family fun
Beer around 7$ and hotdogs around 4$
beautiful night time cruise
Tetious
I really enjoyed the valentines love dinner cruise the experience was good the only downside was the food was just ok they ran out of some of the food and rolls the time we were called up to get food this isn't a buffet but still should have enough for everyone or limit the amount people take. The tables had two couples to a table which I would of expected a table for two I heard others say the same thing kind of killed the romantic part. You are 100% paying for experience it was fun just a little over priced for what we experienced.
Dale Lucas
We had a great time would recommend the sunset cruise to anyone! Will be back soon!
Martin Lutz
Food choices were good... View was great. Crew was very nice.
Becca in Denver
For $10, it's a nice way to change up your view of Louisville.
I would recommend this more for older teenagers and adults. It's a little bit like a moving restaurant and we all know restaurants are pretty boring for little ones. They do have a coloring/activity book and crayons as well as trivia. The trivia, though, is definitely geared toward locals and geeks, rather than the little ones. Again, probably fun and good selfie opportunities for your high schooler. Less memorable for the little ones.
Jessica Hazelwood
** I have to update my review. The actual boat was the ONLY part of this cruise that was enjoyable. The boat was super clean, in great working order and it was very well ran. Thank you to the owner for bringing it to my attention that the Eat Sip Paint was not affiliated with the Belle. I would love to take a different cruise because the boat was wonderful.**
We did the Eat Sip Paint cruise. The food was gross and our tacos were cold. The entire event was over crowded and extremely unorganized. I was so disappointed.
Lorraine Windenburg
Amazing time and great people. Really enjoyed it!
damian urton
If you go be sure to get a package deal, we always get the meal, wine package. Well worth your money
Elizabeth Calloway
This place is fun! The cruise we went on was a night cruise for my 6 year old sons birthday. We weren't expecting the cruise to last 2 hours. It was a bit long for such a long and impatient child, but had he been at home I think it would have been a beautiful and relaxing adult experience. They had a fun band and a full bar. We didn't experience much of the band and none of the bar, but the outside deck had chairs and we got to enjoy seeing the back side of everything we say many days of the week from the rivers side. That was awesome. We also seen some homeless living on the river making a fire to stay warm. It was interesting to see life on the river today.
We also had a funny but odd experience with a drone. My son loved that! We couldn't find where it came from but it just followed the boat around for a few min and then left. Those things aren't offered with the cruise, but it just goes to show you that anything can happen on a tour if you keep your eyes open! Very historic and pretty. Will definitely be back again. Probably for a date night dinner with just the two of us.
Sierra Holcomb
Wonderful time. Clean and friendly. Kid friendly too. Got some beautiful pictures and video of the docking. And the crew acting like a family.
Michael A
First time on the cruise. A bit of rain made it less than ideal, but we had fun. Lots of people, relaxed and fun. My wife and I will be back. And the crew was topnotch.
Nathan Young
The food was absolutely amazing! Lots of fun listening to both older and modern music while floating down the Ohio River.
Bossy VIRGO
I loved it omg it's been a while since I've been on the Belle I had a great time cant wait to do it again.
Taysha Virgil
Great experience, it was a rainy day but the staff made it a spectacular experience. Learned a lot about the different kinds of bridges in Louisville, definitely something you should just experience once .
John Decker
It was a very nice ride on the river paddle boat it's like going back in time and their lunch was pretty good
Michael Todd Harris
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I'm in a power wheelchair and they were very kind.
Jeffrey Schum
It's just really nice spending time on the river front, never know what you might see..
Cara Seay
Great history. It's the oldest operating steamboat in the world! Beautiful sights and lots to venture to see.
Susan Gerrity
Good gifts in shop. Boat ride was not very exciting and you really needed to be on the top deck to excape fumes from engine. Bathrooms were good. Lots of climbing up 3 floors but the best view is on top. Very boring if you are handicap as you cannot do the stairs. We were on new boat but would like to go on old boat and dine. Would be very nice. Very clean. Not real exciting for kids..
Loretta Kunovic
Great way to see Louisville from the heart of downtown waterfront park out to 6 mile island & back
Diana C
What a great and entertaining tour of the river. The boat itself was wonderful and had a lot to explore, do, and look at for the duration of the cruise. I definitely would love to go back and do the fireworks cruise. It's a nice relaxing way to end a day that may have been full of walking and bustling activities.
Chad Christiansen
Enjoyed very much. Absolutely wonderful hotdogs and 2 kinds of cheese
DaShanta Gray
Had a Great ride with our children. We will indeed be back to enjoy it again. The dj played good music and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Concession stand has little variety and kinda pricey. The bartender wasn't the best but overall we enjoyed this attraction.
Leanne Blair
Went on Princess and Pirate cruise, we had an amazing time. The crew had wonderful activities, crafts to keep the children occupied. The crew was friendly, patient and informative. The snack bar was reasonably priced and very good food. We had a great time and would do it again!
Robert Whiteside
Was actually the Mary M Miller and we had a blast. Food was not bad at all, and loved the history lessons as we traveled down the river.
Mary Plank
Beautiful vessel ❤️ so exciting to know we were cruising the river in a 106 year old steam paddle boat! The DJ was fantastic, the indoor seating area was air conditioned and had a great dance floor. The ladies bathroom was really cool. Concessions were comparable to a major ballpark price wise. Will definitely go again.
Shireen Albalooshi
Beautiful peaceful atmosphere water breeze and view complete meditation 🥰☺️☺️ …
Margaret “Kris Tellman” Tellman
We had a great time for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Everyone was so nice and very helpful. We will definitely be back!
Victor H. Miranda

Nice Sunday afternoon cruise! It was a very enjoyable experience.

Amazing paddle boat! ⛵ they sell food & drinks + live music 🎶. It's a 2 hr cruise. …
Kori Majeed
A relaxing, fun, educational 2-hour trip. Even when it's hot, the river boat is a cool, breezy ride.
David Helderle
Beautiful and historical ride up the Ohio river. Great for families.
Carlos
Friendly staff, the boxed lunch was better than expected. Smooth journey and we had great weather. Over all I would say it was a great value for an enjoyable 2 hour cruise.
ruby willoughby
It rained but still enjoyed the cruise .My first time on that cruise. Great time
Hope Corsette
Great experience! Perfect weather! A beautiful city to see from the river!
Asaad Manna
We thought the journey would be longer and covers more distance but it was not.
Tauna Smith
The ride to six mile island was smooth and exciting! The music was spectacular and there was so much to see!
Lee Fritz
Great ride. Great tour info. Just go for the sightseeing.
Curtis Mattingly
Very user friendly website & has all the information I need to make my booking plans.
Dennis Franson
Well maintained and safe boat. A great experience
Jon Patterson
Extremely disappointed that is wasn't a cruise on the actual belle, that's what I booked the cruise for . However it was a fun day ,the band was great
Tony
Wonderful experience.
Great beverage prices.
Will visit again.
Matt Kemp
I love this boat, such history and a great place to go for a night or day out. In excelent shape for its age.
Kendra Williams
My 8 year had never been on a boat he was nervous but he loved it no motion sickness he said it was very smooth
Sherry Lynn
It was a great and relaxing time, beautiful scenery and the weather was not to bad. I really enjoyed the price of the picture you can purchase at the end of the cruise. I was also very pleased the price did not break the bank. I would recommend going.
Ann Murphy
My mother wanted to visit her favorite boat and Kate was an exceptional walking history book. Thank you so much.
Angel Locke
The food was good but you only had a choice of beef brisket or chicken with the sides (mac and cheese & green beans). It took a long time to get our $3 free refill drinks, more so at the beginning of the cruise. I wasn't able to eat the dessert because of my food allergies. Perhaps there should be an extra choice and a choice for vegans with regards to their entrees.

THIS IS A BUCKET LIST TRIP FOLKS!!!!
Everything here went smoothly and seamlessly. We arrived barely on time due to traffic and amazingly were able to find a parking spot close by. Note:. I did NOT see any handicapped parking spots.
We had our tickets and began waiting to embark on the dock in line. Two women came by and scanned our tickets. As the line progressed and people boarded, there was another crew mate who took everyone's temperature. Masks are required inside the ship, but not outdoors on the upper deck, and if you forget your mask, they do have some there for you.
Cast off and dock very smooth, well done. Trip is up the Ohio River a short distance (about 45 minutes) and then come about and return to port.
Beautiful vessel, well kept. I enjoyed the woodwork.
Loud music, dancing, and also games on board for entertainment for all ages. We had a lot of children on board, so provided something to occupy them in case they might otherwise be bored and it looked like they were all having alit of fun. Some educational material too - trivial pursuit had questions about KY history.
Thank you Captain and crew for an enjoyable trip.
Cody Moore
This was a great experience. Weather was perfect, staff on the boat were kind and helpful. Definetly worth repeating.
Cori Renn
We loved being on the boat and coming to and from you had either shade or wind so even with the heat it was a nice trip. We learned some cool little tidbits on the historical tour. And for a great price! Would definitely do it again.
Loretta Keesee
What a nice lunch cruise. The food was very good and we had a great day.
Lucy Jackson
If you're just site-seeing the chairs are hard and it's breezy, bring layers. The food, so so, especially for the price.
Daniel Borders
Laid back type of river cruise. An hr and a half went by quick! Volunteers were helpful and staff was very friendly.
Stephen Bunch
Fantastic river cruise always a treat to go out on the belle!
Jacquelyn Workman
Had a gorgeous and serine cruise for St.pattricks Day food was delicious staff was awesome
Susan Wojtysiak
Even my boyfriend enjoyed it and he hates water. Food was good. U had a hard time hearing the person telling u some history.
Summer Hiser-Leslie
They had a wonderful cruise and buffet. The employees are friendly. The drinks were strong. The ride was smooth and I even got engaged on this boat! 100% recommended!
Mukul Parmanand
Nice place to hangout. You can enjoy the 🌇🌆. …
Cindy Michelle Garza
A beautiful and historic cruise on this steamboat is very much needed breath of fresh air. I recommend anyone able to try this once or as often as able. Both available boats for cruises are manned by professional courteous staff members that will treat you like family. Being a part of the beautiful an calming ride really does hit the spot for every family member of any age. Kudos to the belle and its staff for welcoming the public and keeping our rivers alive and well thru showing our community a new view then they usually get during the typical day to day.
Claudia Hall
Beautiful night down by the river and with the perfect date too!
Luz Ornelas
Nice ride around the river. Lasted 2 hours. Arrived 30 min before departure. Our meal consisted of fried chicken, Mac and cheese, a biscuit and mashed potatoes. Would recommend for the whole family.
Paul Barbieri
Love the boat and dinner crusie ! Thank you for a great time !❤️
Janet Edlin
Christmas cruise with Santa on the little belle the Mary A Miller
Tina Webster
The staff was so polite and helpful. Just beautiful and amazing evening
YRonnie Cox
Awesome experience especially the history. Just a really cool adventure!
Carney James Turner
If you half close your eyes it's like being back in the 1920s. Loved it
Bryon leger
Great family experience! Took a 2 hour cruise. Would be nice if it was a more educational option for the kids. Would like to hear and learn about the boat and past river life.
Geoffrey Bretches
We had a great time on the boat enjoying the upper deck and the river views. Clean boat. Good food. The tour trip up river and back was just the right length of time. The crew were very nice and helpful. I would go on this again if and when I visit Louisville again.
Brittney Freeze
Had a fun and relaxing time during our Picnic Lunch.
The provided catered bbq was warm and would've tasted better if hot. It included either chicken or pork with bbq sauce, a bun, baked beans, and a brownie cookie.
The bartenders and drinks were basic. Limited liquors, wine and a couple of beers on draft.
The music was fun and set a nice ambience.
The cruise itself was relaxing while looking onto the river houses along the way and onlookers on the bridge.
Overall, if you want something to escape the city and get a different perspective, I'd recommend this attraction.
Mic Anthony
The waterfront boats are as reliable a setting for a romantic evening as ever. To cruise comfortably along the Ohio aboard the Mary Miller was a delightful way to enjoy the Louisville skyline from as many unique perspectives - and the ship herself is beautifully maintained.
The staff and crew make all feel welcome and safe, the refreshments aboard are fairly priced and served with wonderful hospitality, and the cost-per-pass for the two-hour trek is nothing to break the bank.
If you've never been, it's certainly worth taking the chance.
Ari
Ive never gotten on the actual boat but everytime i go downtown i pass by it .
Susie Hammond
Great experience! Boxed lunch from City Bar-B-Que. 2 hour ride up rhe river and back. Jug band music. $28.00 with lunch. Less without lunch. Go outside on the deck or stay onside in air!!!
Janet Rose
The cruise was good. People are rude and block your view. The food isn't very good.
Chris Disbro
This was a very fun experience. They take you out for a couple of hours down the river while pointing out the sights and history of the area.
The people were very friendly, plenty of seating, reasonably priced alcoholic beverages and a very neat atmosphere.
They offer brunch & dinner buffets and give you a reserved table below deck where they have music and air conditioning.
We tried the brunch and were disappointed with the food quality, which is why I removed a star. It was like a hotel breakfast and I would not recommend it.
Ronnie Kegley
Good good time in the Belle Of Louisville and the Mary M. Miller . Extremely good price , $10.00 per person for an hour tour of the Ohio River . Other packages for tours and dinner are also available along with special occasions rentals , such as weddings . Highly recommend !!
Karen Brown
My husband took me on a nightime boat cruise for my birthday. It was very enjoyable. The ride was comfortable, it was quite warm outside but once the boat started moving and we had air blowing around it was much better. We sat at the front of the boat. The city skyline is beautiful and the color changing bridge is very unique also. Very worth the trip, time and money.
Lindsay Bowden
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the moonlight cruise. COVID guidelines were followed, music was awesome, staff was fantastic, reasonable drink/food prices. Take a blanket for those chilly nights, if you’ll be sitting outside, and don’t be afraid to ask someone around you to take your picture. Book in advance, relax and enjoy the ride.
Hardik Deshmukh
Beautiful ride to spend relaxing evening
Ken Witz
We were a little disappointed. It was quite cold on the third deck so we went inside only to watch people pigging out on the breakfast buffet. There is a bar with snacks and prices are good. Any effort to provide entertainment would be appreciated.
Debra Adams
Every part of this!
It was the beer cruise...and it was fun!
The staff is amazing--I adore the guys who work down below! Walk through and thank them, if you get a chance!
The boat is beautiful and clean and comfortable. The dj was very good and the route was beautiful!
Robert Saka
If you have time this is definitely a must-do excursion. It's a beautiful paddle boat and it is well maintained and it is very special and historical.
Slavador Dalhi
The boat itself is quite interesting with the history and all. There isn't much really to go and sight see but it's certainly nice and relaxing just being on a boat.
Sarah Harley
We did the BOO cruise on the ship. It was sooooo fun! Everyone was dressed up and they had tons of actuvities for the kiddos. Dancing, limbo, and trick or treating! We will make this trip a tradition and be back in the following years to come
Dana Yocum
I took my husband for Father's Day and we had a great time it was so peaceful
Jt S
Great had a fun time with the family staff and entertainment was great
Leah Giroux
This was such a great tour! I went with a small group and we all really enjoyed ourselves. We spent most of the tour out in the sun on the third deck. We opted out of the lunch buffet but ate nachos and popcorn from the concession which were reasonably priced.
Michele Kupfer
What a beautiful day. So wonderful to be able to walk along the river like that. The rides on Belle were not as expensive as I thought it would have been. Reservations were so easy, a lot of open availability, you can even eat on the boat as well. They have an easy to navigate website as well.
Sabrina Anjum
We drove from Lexington, we had originally planned to take the sunset cruise but my husband had to work all that was available was a history tour so we took that instead. It was hard to get nice pictures of the scenery with parents not control their kids.
Mindy Suarez
It was a lovely ride. It wasn't too long and wasn't too short.
Oppiee
Great way to spend a evening! This is a must do for anyone.
Raymond Robinson
Actually went on the Mary M Miller paddle boat, not the Belle of Louisville.
60 minute trip on the Ohio River was pleasant. Recommend outside, upper deck, front of the boat seating.
Edric Salone
The belle is a classic staple of Louisville but being that I'm not really into vintage items it was not for me. The party that I attended was nice, but the bar selection was very limited and the bartenders were extremely slow. The snack stand was limited and it seemed like all they had to offer was nachos or chicken tenders. It took forever for us to depart and the ride seemed short but was enjoyable. Not the best boat I've been on but it was safe.
Eric Royal
Loved the sunset cruise
Joe King
Great time can't wait to do it again

The perfect venue for Thunder Over Louisville. We were on the dining deck & lucky enough to get a table near the windows. This let us "set up camp" per say at a table for the entire vening. We got see the fly overs & the fireworks as well. Close to the bar, food & bathrooms. We could not hear the PA system from here, but an acceptable trade off to be out of the rain late in the show. The boat was beautiful with a great history. The staff was great, very friendly with a nice mix of professional mixed in. If you have any interest in a great spot for Thunder Over Louisville, check this out & show up early to board to get the best spot. Last, but NOT least, the food was great & plentiful. I like my food & had no trouble getting my fill.
Brian Curran
Had a excellent time celebrating our son and new daughter-in-laws wedding onboard the Mary M. Miller Riverboat. Our event coordinator, Diane Eisenback did an exceptional job guiding us through the process and helping to plan the entire epic event. Everyone had a great time celebrating, dancing, and cruising. Highly recommended!!!
Robert Notman
It's a great voyage and the dinner wasn't too bad.
Cal Redmond
A fun outing, with a chance to see the riverfront and step back into the past a little.
Sherry Gray
Four of us did the sightseeing lock cruise in October. The riverboat cruises are interesting and well run. Information about the cruise schedule is hard to find however. We finally had to call in order to get accurate information. Which I do not understand as they have a beautifully printed brochure that lists the various cruises. At any rate, we sure enjoyed the cruise once the nice person on the phone helped me figure it out. We did not need lunch so opted for the sightseeing portion of the cruise. The person giving us information about the lock system was excited and informative and we enjoyed learning about something totally new. When not on the pa system, she roamed the decks and answered questions. Her enthusiasm led us to explore Falls of the Ohio State Park. Parking for the riverboat cruise is easy and the cruise was one of our favorite adventures. Well actually everything we did in Louisville was a favorite because it's a wonderful, welcoming city.
Karla Kuhn
Love the Belle of Louisville and the Riverboat tours. If in Louisville it is a must. Just to sit and slowly cruise the Ohio river and enjoy all the sites. If available I always try to see what tours are available so I can join.
Aaron Hartman
The Crew were friendly and the boat was really clean. The food at the buffet was okay, but not what you might expect. You may want to sneak in your own desert, as theirs was mediocre at best. The pricing was also very reasonable. Overall, it was a great experience and in my opinion, the only way to truly enjoy Thunder of Louisville.
Cathy Williams
It was awesome and so much fun and exciting to go on.
Cindy Loo-hoo
The scenery going out was ok.
Honestly not spectacular, but the ride back was incredible!
Took the evening cruise so by the time we returned the bridges, and city were lit up. Beautiful!
Any cruise on the water is pretty awesome. ( my opinion ) but an evening slowly floating down the river is extremely relaxing.
The food was good. Staff was nice, helpful, and accommodating. The informative part was ok. ( not much to really tell about ) but they made up for the loss of history lesson by playing good music, and some fairly funny jokes...
And we even got to witness a marriage proposal!
All in all a fun evening.
Lauren Bloom
We rode on the Mary M. Miller
Very nice!! Husband booked dinner reservations for our 9yr anniversary, and it was fun. 9/23 was our date and the gentleman who was the speaker on the boat was so nice and funny!! He tells you bits of history around the are and chose good music.
We paid extra for a window seat and it was well worth it. The bridge and all lights up at night and we was lucky as fireworks went off downtown for the end of leukaemia walk and the fireworks where awesome especially from boat view.
The food was good, roasted chicken, pulled pork, salad, green beans w/carrots, baked potato coleslaw, pasta salad, and dessert. The dessert area was a little disappointing (cheap store bought cookies and not sure what the other thing was) but to be honest we was so full after our main meal we never got to dessert! There was also a bar, sodas, lemonade, etc.
All in all great fun and views. We loved it
Tammy Bailey
Very informative. We are planning to go on a Belle of Louisville cruise.
Keith “Mike” Sankey
Relaxing 2 hour cruise along the Ohio river and a decent buffet meal. I highly suggest making advance reservations and decide if you want to include a meal if offered as par of the itinerary.
Sandy Vitek
Inexpensive river tour. The ability to buy drinks on board was nice, and the staff and crew were all very friendly. Some of the history they provided during the tour was interesting.
Fran Clark
Nice cruise. Music was good.
Aaron McQueen
A fun ride with an engaged crew. Well cared for truly historic vessel. Beautiful weather helped, but we've been on the Belle many times over the years and it is always fun.
Food keeps this from 5 stars, it's standard touristy food.
Chas Shackleford
My first trip ever on the dinner cruise was for my birthday with my husband. We had the buffet and unlimited soda (which was great because it was hot as balls) interesting mix of music/entertainment on the boat. Will definitely go again! Staff even helped direct us to good parking in the area too!
robert “Tr3D” evans
Do you remember criss cross and how they missed the bus!
Well I missed the boat🤦🏿♂️..
Would have been a great experience but I eatch d it sail from the dock like, ohhhh noooooo.... …
lucia velasquez
Called the management to try and get a reimbursement due to missing a trip on the boat. Wasn't able to get one due too not having the time to contact the office until 4 days later. Really disappointed, it is what it is. But if this happens to you I'd advise emailing or calling the office withing 24-48 hours before you lose your time and money.
Penelope Cruz
You want to meet total strangers and have a great time? This is the place! They had great food and great drinks as well.
ray o'neal sr
Hey my name is Ray and want to thank The Belle of Louisville and Diane Eisenback for being fair and supportive of my event on 04/24/2021.
I'm beyond thankful for the last minute text, the content of constant udate . Im thankful for meeting Diane, I appreciate how she was staying on me and aiding me through my special event. Thankful for giving my fiancé and our family something to remember by and to smile for.
The people at the office were helpful and positive attitude. The cruise was smooth we didn't know that we were moving til we looked out the window.
Zeke aaron
Took my 6 year old daughter on the sight seeing cruise. It was a 2 hour cruise and after an hour she was over it. Needless to say, Louisville and the surrounding areas are quite dirty and not much to see.
Anand Govindasamy
Took the Mary M Miller Dinner Cruise on May-25, with my wife and 3 yr old toddler. The service, seating arrangement and the welcome were well managed. Food was Ok. Music was good. Tickets (I purchased them online) was $92 for 2 adults including tax. Parking was $3; enter by Joe's Crab Shack and drive left all the way until the end to park closest to the Belle. The cruise was booked full for the dinner; noticed few couples who came directly and could not get tickets; I would suggest to buy tickets ahead of time.
Sunshine Wagner
Very nice to just sit and relax fer a couple hours
Phyllis Keene
This was a nice boat trip with a buffet. Everyone should go sometime. Good time. There are 2 different ticket prices. There's a ticket less expensive where the buffet DOES NOT come with it. It's just the tour. I'm sure you can get/buy something to drink. The other comes with the buffet in a nice big air-conditioned dining room. Both are nice. This little trip should be on everyone's bucket list!
Rachael Koontz
We enjoyed our ride on the Belle of Louisville. The views were nice and the kids loved the music from the DJ. They have a snack bar with several choices for food and drinks. They also offer special cruises.
Rodney Lockridge
This was the best cruise at the best time. 4th of July with a full moon and fireworks. They couldn't have planned it any better. The light reflecting on the water was beautiful. I hope they invite me back, love to do it next full moon.
Sara Barnes
Took the grandkids & we all loved it! Got to hear the calliope, had an onboard scavenger hunt, etc. A beautiful way to spend time on the river & also learn about the Belle's history!
Sean Warren
As a Louisvillian I was worried that going on the Belle would be more of a tourist trap experience than anything else, but my wife and I had a great time on an evening dinner cruise. The food was mediocre but the service was great, the bar and concession amenities were solid, and the seating up top was perfect for viewing the river along the way. Next time I would do the cruise only without the food which is very affordable. Just short enough to not feel trapped...and it's an actual working steamboat! I always thought it had an electric motor and the paddle was for show.
Charlie Davey
I went in the Belle of Louisville today with my 9yr old granddaughter. Her daycare had their field trip there. It was amazing! Very relaxing, the crew was great. We both had a really good time.
Bruce Brents
Wonderful experience I've experienced
Nicholas Kansfield (Nick)
We were there the first part of June and it was spectacular on the Mary Miller! The crew, ticket office, food, scenery and the D.J. were phenomenal! It's a must do for anyone and we will go again! The dinner cruise is a must with the sunset!
Lindsay
Throwback Thursday is so much fun! Loved the 90’s night!
Today's Facts Tomorrow's Opinions
Great for sightseeing the Ohio river and an all around good tasting buffet with lots of selections. Don't be cheap, buy the inside seating with meal or you'll freeze out side in the open seating section!!!! The dj is super fun and tries to include everyone to get up and dance some after the buffet is served. We'll definitely be going again!!!!
Michael Saylor
Great night out, good food and pleasant atmosphere including the band-and we danced. You can dance if you want to or leave your friends behind!
Peggy Workman
Boarding the Belle to the lovely tunes played on the Calliope, our cruise began about 2:00 PM. Opting out of the buffet, allowed us to find wonderful seats outside, enjoying the breeze and the sights.
This afternoon cruise takes the boat through the NcAlpine Dam locks. Slow going, but an amazing feat, watching the water level fall and our return trip watching the boat raise up to the northern pool.
The snack bar serves hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, and hotdogs. There is also a full bar.
Fun, relaxing trip.
Ronald Miller
People are friendly. Dinner was too expensive for a box dinner. The Belle wasn't running on Friday night so we had to take the Mary Miller boat. It was not crowded which was nice.
Brandy Dix
We attended a craft beer tasting and this was amazing. Only 20 a piece and my husband and I attended 10 tickets each for us and it was plenty. Great service at the ticket office, staff on boat, and so beautiful. It had been years since I had been there and very clean. Cruise was amazing
ELLA THOMAS
Loved it had a ball nice cruise
Jake Crib
Beautiful old riverboat built in 1914.
It is fascinating.
I was not able to take the tour, but would love to go back and do a dinner cruise or tour.
Shawn Schultz
I love the history of the boat. The atmosphere.
Jeremy Marlow (Marlow)
Went on the pirate scallywag boat tour got to see actual sword fights drink pirate punch eat food and see all the sites up and down the River in the evening had a beautiful time with the wife and enjoyed it highly recommend they also have a pirate kids tour but this one was for adults only
Daniel Harris
This is a great attraction that all out of town visitors should experience.
Alonzo Chapman
Riverboat cruise had really good food, strong drinks and fun for the whole family!
Lisa Crouch
Loved the boat ride. Dining area, dance floor, gift shop, snacks and drinks rest rooms. You can go down to the boiler room. Wish it had been a scenic tour. Music blasts your ears off at the beginning but is turned down for the ride. The very worst thing is trying to figure out parking , making loops over and over again . You can see it but can't figure out how to get there. It needs signs. The parking garage is on the other side of the road. You have to get to the other side. Its a 2 Hour ride. Ride at the bow if you get a chance just because of the air and I just enjoyed the view.
Jany Lopez
was nice ride only thing is lane was long for food.
CJ Marlette
Staff was great. Was a perfect evenikn on the Mary Miller.
Unique Sell (UniqueSellution)
It was one of the oldest boats made that i heard about but it still was fun ride. I never rode a boat before as well! So it was a fun first time experience
Wish they had more than just hot dogs. But prolly cause of budget cuts
Kristen Gimbel
Probably because of Covid, but there were 4 people behind the bar and it took 15 mins to get a mimosa on the Mary M Miller. We did find out later that they really only had one bar tender, that the other had called in. What they didn't do well was manage the perception of the passengers. You don't need 4 people behind the bar on a brunch cruise when only one is actually slinging drinks. Slinging sounds a bit more timely than what actually happened.
I will be back because we've been before with outstanding service, and I understand the staff challenges they are facing right now. Just hoping this will help management better plan for perception. Not like there was a sign saying three of these four people can't help you with adult drinks.
Frances Sanchez
It's a Wonderful Beautiful scenery..
John Ireland
We went on the Mary Miller on a Thursday in September. It is the smaller boat and the only option that day. The cruise was good and well narrated. The dinner buffet was average. Overall a good experience.
CAROL STEVENS
Was on both the Mary Miller and the Belle of Louisville for a dinner and a lunch cruise. Everything was excellent including the food. However, the caterer provided several desserts, but all were some sort of cake. I do not eat cake so it would have been nice to have some kind of pie or cheesecake in addition to cakes.
Amanda Merk
I've always lived in southern Indiana, but I had never done a Belle of Louisville cruise until recently. It was a really great experience. So relaxed and beautiful. Will definitely go again.
Donald Blandford
It’s a great time for family. Young or old!
Tamara Stigall
My sisters and our parents took the sightseeing cruise on July 28th 12-2. We loved the cruise but more than anything the people that worked there. The guys that helped us with our parents (81yrs old and 84) treated us like royalty. They made the day for us. I wish i had gotten their names, anyway, thank you all for such a wonderful day!
Eric Varga
The boats were closed but it was a great experience to just see them. Would come back and take a tour for sure.
Dee Bye
Had a wonderful time,so beautiful. Best experience for a family cruise.

OK...
We did a private trip. Not open to the public...so comments likely not so useful. Good food..beef very good, strong beans not good at all; salad good; apple pie good.
Calliope actually irritating. Difference in time our group was ready to board vs their ok to board caused us to wait 20 minutes in our bus. Oh well.
Edward Cardello
Nice relaxing ride on the Ohio River. Good family event. We just took the sight seeing tour but they have a dinner your too with a buffet. Didn't try the buffet but it looked and smelled delicious.
Christy L
Dinner cruise...save yourselves the money and just do the sight seeing cruise, the food wasn't anything spectacular. The pot roast was decent, the chicken was so dry and just not good. If you're not a soda drinker, don't bother with the $3 unlimited Coke, they have tea, coffee and lemonade with the meal, it doesn't deem to be clearly noted in the description. Outside is nice, but be prepared for spiders....lots of spiders. They keep the other bugs at bay is the only good thing about them. The city view and sunset were nice, but other than that, again nothing exciting. The staff was nice, the walkway to the "office" is scary as hell. It was a funish experience, but I don't know if it was worth the money.
Maureen Schwab
The river cruise was fine. Buffet varies... beef great, chicken wad horrible. Paid for buffet and was charged for water. No free water refills. Bartender extremely poor. Took over 20 minutes to stand in line and get 2 canned beers and 3 waters.
Kimberly Daugintis
Very enjoyable cruise and great food and drinks. Love the history.
Eric Estes
My family went on the 1 hour history cruise. It was fun, informative, and relaxing.
Allan Bishop
Just OK! The Riverboat ride is not that scenic and were ( group of 40) served box lunches. BBQ was great, Chicken was hard, dry, and almost inedible!
Joseph Day
The Riverboat cruises are awesome! Great food and a great ride. The Belle of Louisville is over 100 years old and she is worth the ride if you get the chance or want to go, I highly recommend it.
Z IsMe
It was AMAZING!!! My first time on a boat and PARTYING NONETHELESS!!!! They gave very clear directions, they were very patient, and kept everything smooth. Would def go back🙌🏿🤸🏿♀️ …
Melinda Langley
It was a lot of fun! All of the employees were nice.
John Heck
Amazing tour on a grand ol' ship. Must do if in Louisville.
Cathy Keibler
First I have to acknowledge that some aspects of what contributed to a less-than-stellar evening were out of control of the management. The evening turned out to be very blustery, therefore the boat could not actually cruise. We were comped tickets for a sightseeing cruise at another time. Seating once aboard was first come, first served at folding banquet tables, most of them 6 top. There were not enough tables for everyone so chairs were set up in an area originally meant to be the dance floor. This area rapidly filled up. There was a DJ playing a good mix of music unbearably loudly. As for the actual beer tasting: 6 local breweries each brought one beer to pour out into 3.5 oz plastic cups. Each participant was given 6 tickets good for one sample each. The tables were set up adjacent to the now-crowded dance floor area, so we were essentially channeled past the tables to grab a sample, no chance to talk to the brewery representative. We ended up giving away most of our tickets and leaving early. If you are looking for decent craft beer tasting this event is not it. On a warmer, less windy evening it might have made for a good dance party. Unfortunately for us it was simply an overcrowded, loud, slightly divey bar on the river.
A Polo
Was hoping they would provide a little narration on what we were looking at.
chris johnson
Very cool history and has been kept up very well. Great riverboat highly recommend taking a cruise down the Ohio River in this awesome piece of history.
Travis Horton
Fantastic historical boat. Took my son over before a evening Cruse departed to listen to the authentic steam calliope. I have been on several excursions, as I grew up in Louisville, but my wife and kids never have. Will have to work that in some how.
Rick Croley
Boat ride was nice but all outside chairs were dirty and covered in spider webs. Speaker could be louder or add more speakers. Popcorn should be included with unlimited drinks or offer free refills.
John Mervine
We did the dinner cruise. The buffet was not bad, certainly plenty available. We expected a more interesting description of history along the way. It was more of a dj party with the mc spinning anything from 50s tunes to hip hop. And making lame jokes. The bluegrass music would have been appropriate quiet in the background so the disjoint tunes were just annoying. We sat on top and enjoyed the ride. Weather was great. I am sure kids would be bored.
Lawana Weaver
It was a nice and relaxing tour for individuals, couples and groups of people.
Scott Wolff
A beautiful day spent with friends, this is a great event to enjoy the river. The lunch buffet was average but the ride was fabulous. I will definitely get my family down here to enjoy this.
Scott Wilhoit
Very pleasant summer evening excursion on the Ohio River. A bit crowded as we went on Fathers Day Weekend, but still very enjoyable. Great way to see Louisville's beautiful riverfront.
Shae Laskee
Company party for Mrs. Very nice cruise. I missed the turn around cause I had to use the restroom. Ramp to & from boat, a bit rocky. Going back to car was hard due to uphill (I walk with a cane).
rayanna longsine
We've done the Belle of Louisville a few times. A unique way to see the city and sights of the Ohio River. It was nice to be able to spend a couple of hours out in the sun on the water and out of all of the big city crowds. Prices are reasonable.
Jason Hill
Food was edible but room temp, the boat was interesting as a piece of history but the ride only provided views of Louisville's industrial district
Anna Balduff
A treat for our anniversary! The buffet was very nice. We enjoyed just going upstairs after dinner and taking in the view and relaxing. The price was affordable. Would recommend it!
Rachel Napoleon
Very relaxing ride along the river. I stayed at the bow of the boat on the third level. Coming back into port at night was amazing!!! Seeing the city lit up....my pictures don't do it any justice. There was a gent that told us the history of the river as we sailed down and I learned a few interesting things that would be so hard to phathum if they hadn't been marked and pointed out to us. For example a great flood....at one point the river swelled well beyond it's mile width to 24 miles....just to think of that devastation it's humbling. Anyway, lots of info and beautiful scenery. Oh and you have the option of enjoying a dinner as well if you choose!
Amy Harris
Such a nice evening cruise.
Bill Dennis
My wife and I and a friend from Texas recently took a tour on the Bell Of Louisville We arrived early and found a place in the shade as it was a very warm and sunny day. About 5 minutes after we arrived the ship started playing caliopy music. The sound was extreamly loud, off key, and ear splitting. After about 30 long minutes thankfully it stopped and we srarted boarding. We found seats on the second level with a great view of the Ohio river .Refreshments were available on the first deck and were resonably priced. The ship had a tour guide who was both funny and informative and we learned a lot of history along the way. We spent one hour going down river turned around and went up river and arrived at the dock an hour later. The tour on the Belle Of Louisville was very good. But don"t come early so you can avoid the loud music.
