FTLO Iceland was my first trip with FTLO. Megan, our amazing trip leader, made everything seamless. Megan not only kept us on schedule, informed about our itinerary and made sure we had all important information, but she is truly a wonderful person and a joy to travel with. My trip to Iceland was more magical than I could have imagined. From exploring ice caves, hiking glaciers, playing in waterfalls and enjoying the thermal pools, Iceland offered a new adventure every day! As my first solo trip, I also couldn't have asked for a better group of new friends to travel Iceland with. I can't wait to travel with FTLO again!

I just got back from my first FTLO Travel trip and it was incredible. I booked my trip 2 years ago in 2020 and finally got to go after Covid! Let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing!! My group had the BEST, MOST AMAZING tour guide EVER, Sara!! FTLO planned an incredible adventure for the travelers. But more than that, Sara made the experience so special, unique, and memorable. She tailored our itinerary to ensure we got the most out of each day and coordinated additional activities for us. For example, she introduced us to a local family in Fez that welcomed us into their home, played traditional Moroccan music for us, and taught us how to make pastillas. Sara also knew a family of nomads that welcomed us into their home and taught us so much about the Berber culture. Sara even managed to book a last minute photographer for a couple that got engaged on our trip!!! Sara went above and beyond her role as a tour leader and FTLO is truly lucky to have one of the best tour guides in Morocco with their company. During our trip, we rode camels in the Sahara desert, learned how to make chicken tagine, saw where Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed, witnessed the making of Moroccan pottery, leather goods, and rugs, and enjoyed a hot air balloon ride over Marrakech. (Honestly, we did so much more but those are just the highlights!) If you're ever looking for a remarkable adventure, sign up for FTLO's trip to Morocco and fingers crossed you have Sara as your guide. You will NOT regret it!

My second trip with FTLO but not my last! I just returned from an incredible week in Morocco. This long-awaited trip was booked in 2020 and through the pandemic survived numerous reschedules. As I had expected from my previous South Africa trip, the itinerary for this trip was so unique, intentional and created for a one-of-a-kind experience. But the best aspect of this trip, was our leader Sara. She was so kind, and genuine in her intent to give us the best trip possible. It was obvious that she has established herself as a capable and well-known tour guide within the Morocco market and everywhere we went, she was greeted with praise and appreciation. She is exceptional, goes above and beyond for her travelers and is by far, the best guide I've ever had. Thank you Sara and FTLO, can't wait to travel together again soon!

I'm not normally a review person, but this was no normal trip. My first trip with FTLO was this past February, and now I understand why they have so many rave reviews. I can't shut up about my whole experience! I booked their South Africa trip for my first "solo" trip ever and first international jaunt since 2018. I had very specific dates available for vacation, so I was weighing the South Africa trip vs a back-to-back Belize & Havana trip. (Loved that FTLO had options!) Zero regrets for choosing South Africa! For checking such a popular location off the bucket list, FTLO curates a really balanced trip. Part nature, part city. Part uncomfortable, part familiar. Equal parts awesome. Our trip consisted of 8 people, 11 days, 4 lodgings, 4 game drives, 1 fantastic trip leader, hundreds of photos taken, and countless memories made. FTLO's group size was ideal, and we all got along so well right from the beginning. The itinerary was super well-balanced between structured and flexible activities. Having the travel logistics planned for me was a welcome change from how I usually travel. I worried about what to pack and how to get myself to Johannesburg, then trusted FTLO to take it from there. The experiences were the perfect blend of touristy & off the beaten path. Seeing the animals in the wild was surreal! Street vendors were polite, and our local hosts felt like family. Jose, our trip leader, was PHENOMENAL! He's a native of Cape Town, and I know that his experience, humor, and outlook are why our trip wasn't just great but one-of-a-kind. And have you seen FTLO's website?! I can't stop dreaming about the "for the love of" lists marketing each trip! I was very comfortable having enough information from the website alone about what the trip experience would be like before deciding to make the investment and sign up for one. Then of course we got more information for our particular trip so we were well-prepared before departure. With so many different durations and locations, there's bound to be an FTLO trip for any young professional looking to travel. I can't wait to book my next one!

Amazing trip and experience. I went on the Greek Islands trip last week and had a blast. Our awesome tour leader Makayla made the experience extremely fun and inclusive for everyone. The restaurants, hotels and bars were all top notch, well curated and not the tourist traps that you find in such places. The day trip on the catamaran was amazing. The hike along the Santorini ridge was awesome - something I would have never thought to do if I had traveled on my own. One thing that I would have liked included was a little bit of history on each of the islands we visited. For example, Milos is the island where the Venus de Milo was found. Would have been nice to have a 2 hour walking tour or museum tour of each of the islands historical highlights. My first group travel experience and I'm so glad I chose FTLO. The small group ensures that you become friends with the people there as opposed to those huge groups with 40-50 people. Beats traveling by yourself every time, especially if you don't feel like putting in the effort into meeting new people every 2-3 days as you travel from one place to another.

I just returned from my first FTLO Travel trip to Barcelona and the South of France and it was by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Jordana was an amazing trip leader. Not only is she kind, compassionate and knowledgeable, but she has an unremarkable zest for life and passion for what she does. Everything she suggested, we did and my group and I were so happy with all the experiences. The Croatia trip was my first FTLO trip and it definitely won't be my last one! Henry was the best tour guide ever and taught us so much about his country in such a relaxed and fun way. We explored historic places, had delicious food and wine (so much wine!), enjoyed beaches and waterfalls, and overall had tons of laughs and made friends/memories I'll treasure for a lifetime. There were lots of planned activities, but also plenty of free time to sightsee as a group or on your own which was nice. I can't wait to go back here again someday! I highly recommend FTLO and specifically this Croatia trip, you won't regret it!

This is your sign to BOOK THE TRIP. I went on an incredible adventure through Puglia and the Amalfi thanks to FTLO. It's hard to put into words what this experience was like but I'll try anyways. A friend recommend FTLO to me because Italy was the number one destination on my list and I am so glad I signed up for the Puglia and Amalfi Coast trip. From the beginning, FTLO had great communication and answered all my questions. Before the trip began, we were invited to join the trip group where could see the itinerary, the other travelers, and any other important information. The itinerary for the trip was thoughtful and extensive; FTLO plans activities that you would not think to do on your own or plan for yourself; you'll be spending your days going from the beach to an Italian cooking class to late night gelato. Boating on the Amalfi Coast and an authentic Caprese lunch? You got it! Each morning, you'll board a private bus that will whisk you away to your next destination where you'll get to explore a UNESCO site or maybe the setting of the latest James Bond movie, a city carved out of stone. FTLO went above and beyond to curate the perfect itininerary in the most amazing locations that made me feel like I ws living in a modern day Italian fairytale. You get to do and see so much in eight days, and that wasn't even the best part. FTLO brought together such an amazing group of people for this adventure; we all clicked instantly and felt as though we had known each other for years, not days. Our trip leader Hatim was the perfect person to lead us on this adventure; he ordered all our meals, made sure we were always caffinated and took care of everything for us all week. He helped us navigate each day and activity with such ease, and ensured we were having the best Italian holiday. He even had suggestions ready to go for our free time in Rome! We were lucky to have him. I am so feel incredibly lucky to have been able to experience Italy with my new FTLO family. It was a life changing experience and I am still talking about it three weeks later! Hit SUBMIT & when you go to the Trevi fountain make a wish that you come back to Italy.

The Ireland/Scotland trip was an incredible experience. Our group went in April 2023 and the weather was pretty suitable for all our activities. Each day we had 1-2 major activities and group meals together but there was an ideal balance of available free time to explore on your own. Far surpassing my expectations was the group dynamic. Our trip leader Maddy set the enthusiastic tone each day and our group responded with matching excitement and eager. We all got along very well and often planned group activities together for our free time. The trip agenda also flowed smoothly and never felt too exhausting or demanding. Maddy’s attention to detail and exceptional communication helped keep us organized and ready for each new day. I would rate this travel experience higher than 5 stars if I could. I look forward to my next trip with FTLO!

Amazingly wonderful is how I would describe my FTLO trip to South Africa! It was the best trip of my life so far! Our leader, Machiel, was great! He kept things fun but also informative. This was my first FTLO trip and my largest anxiety was the group cohesion. My anxiety was quickly relieved on night one! I had the BEST time with all the ladies on my trip (and Machiel :) Our trip started is Cape Town and ended in Johannesberg and it was perfect! Each day was even better than the last day and ending our trip on safari with all of the animals was extraordinary. I would definitely do another trip with FTLO and with Machiel! My only small complaint would be the communication leading up to the trip. I would have liked earlier confirmation of flights and earlier access to the packing list, itinerary, etc.

Just got back from my first FTLO trip to Colombia (NYE) and can’t recommend traveling with FTLO enough! The itinerary was thoughtfully planned out- truly got to experience the local culture while also having an amazing time with a great group of people! Our tour guide Will was such an important factor in making the trip what it was and you can tell he puts so much of himself into making sure everyone has a great time. If you’re looking to book a trip but hesitant about going solo.. FTLO is 10000% the way to go.

Just got back from my first trip with FTLO to Iceland and cannot say enough great things about it. The experience was better than I could've imagined and one I will never forget. Much of this was due to my amazing trip leader, Maddy. She is a phenomenal leader and guide! So sweet, kind and full of enthusiasm, she always looked out for us and each day was incredibly organized. There was great communication from her the entire trip and she was a wealth of knowledge about Iceland. She truly cared and did whatever she could to ensure we all had the best trip possible. Everything went so smoothly, so perfectly in fact that the group called it the "Maddy magic". Even when there were very minor hiccups or slight deviations from the plan, she always had a backup plan in place. I highly recommend FTLO for their once in a lifetime trips and if you have Maddy as your group leader, you will be in the best hands!

I just wrapped the South Africa trip, and FTLO delivered a once in a lifetime experience. The itinerary was well paced and everything planned perfectly. The private safari game drives were the highlight of the trip and we were able to see the big 5 two whole times. Our trip leader Machiel was so knowledgeable as a seasoned South Africa guide. He was beyond professional and always working to help us have the best experience. He even helped us make reservations in our free time and no request was too much. Anyone who gets to travel with him is very lucky! I wholeheartedly recommend this trip to anyone considering traveling to South Africa!

I just got back from Portugal and I can't say enough good things about the trip! The activities were amazing and our guide Fahim was incredible! The itinerary FTLO put together was well organized, had a great mix of activities (food tour, castles, city walks, cooking class, catamaran excursion, to name a few!) and had free time built in so we could explore where we wanted. Fahim told us countless facts, history, and personal stories about Portugal. He gave us ample recommendations for restaurants and activities for our free days and pre/post trip. I would highly recommend FTLO and the Portugal trip!!

I just got back from Morocco and it was incredible! This was my first FTLO travel trip and it did not disappoint. Struggling to coordinate trips with friends and having more vacation days than I knew what to do with I took the plunge. We did so many amazing things on this trip from exploring Fez and the tannery’s to sand boarding in the Sahara. Special shout-out to our trip leader Nabil! He was so kind and helpful and even organized meals with local families. When I made a comment about wanting to see the community ovens, the next day he made sure it was included on the tour of Fez. Nabil was also quick to help the group when an airline lost a bag or we were struggling to carry all our stuff through the city. When we had free time he was always quick to respond with amazing recommendations. I am very grateful for the amazing group and experiences. This won’t be my last FTLO trip!

FTLO Travel is an excellent tour group to book with for young professionals. It was a much better value than another tour group I used. Accommodations are top notch, schedule keeps you busy but isn’t completely overwhelming (you can always opt out) and my tour guide Laura in Costa Rica was awesome. She was very kind, made herself available to us and made our dinner reservations every night even when she wasn’t required to. She also had good extra excursions to suggest for our free time and made sure we were as prepared as possible! Thank you again Laura :) I had so much fun, made new friends and the memories will last forever! I will be booking my trip to Bali with FTLO.

The FTLO Colombia trip was absolutely the experience of a lifetime! I'm so glad I chose to travel with FTLO as opposed to visiting Colombia alone. The trip was planned well and had the perfect balance of planned activates and free time to explore on our own. Transportation to the various tours and activities was seamless and all of the locals (from tour guides to salsa instructors) were amazing! The trip included all of the top activities and sites that I would have wanted to see in Cartagena and Medellin which left me to enjoy the free days to walk around the cities and enjoy soaking up the Colombian culture. This was my first FTLO trip and I was so impressed with our trip leader, Will, who truly went above and beyond for us every single day. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities to do during our free time and made sure we were able to see everything we wanted to during the trip. I really appreciated his knowledge of the cities, connections to other locals, and ability to make us feel safe at all times. I could tell Will's top priority was to make sure we were all staying safe and having fun! I would absolutely recommend traveling with FTLO, especially with Will!

I just got back from the FTLO Jordan trip, and I had an amazing time. We had a great first dinner in Amman, adventured to the Dead Sea, went canyoning, and wandered Petra and the desert. I felt like I learned so much about the culture in Jordan, and feel so lucky that I could visit there! All the hotels we stayed at were gorgeous, clean, and unique. Our guide was incredible! He was energetic and very knowledgeable about the history of Jordan. All the other travelers were kind and a pleasure to be around. Just went on my first FTLO trip to Almafi Coast / Puglia. I honestly was skeptical going in because I have never done a group trip at this cost level before. But now reflecting on the trip, I am blown away by the experience and the value for my money I received. I loved my experience of going outside my comfort zone and experiencing bucket list things like riding a camel in the desert and visiting the vibrant Blue City - Chefchaouen. The real highlight of my trip though was our leader Sara. She was absolutely incredible and the trip wouldn’t be the same without her. Her knowledge of Morocco generally as well as her connections to people in every place we went created unique opportunities that went beyond the standard trip experience. Took my first trip with FTLO to Morocco and let me just say that Sara is the best freaking trip leader anyone could ask for. She was fantastic and made the whole trip so memorable. She was so caring, friendly and such a genuine good person. The full trip was so organized and communication was top notch. I am definitely looking forward to doing future trips with FTLO. It would be awesome if Sara was doing international trips so she can be my trip leader again. The Sahara desert was amazing and we made so many awesome spots during our transportation from one city to the other. Sara introduced us to the nomad and even showed us how they live their life. She had so much good things to say about FTLO that it makes it more reassuring to book future trips. I really like how Sara is always trying to help the locals, and she is so well-known by all the locals. She even know a person on the road during a random stop on the road. She even took us to a women run business that employees so many woman and provide them with a source of income. Definitely check out Morocco and make sure Sara is your trip leader.

I just got back from the FTLO Jordan trip, and it was the most amazing trip of my life! This was my second FTLO trip, and I cannot recommend this trip enough. Every activity showed us another unique part of Jordan, from canyoning to floating in the dead sea to hiking in Petra. Our trip leader Mahmoud was absolutely fantastic. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about Jordan and wanting to showcase his amazing country with us. I fell in love with Jordan and cannot wait to return in the coming years to continue exploring!

This was my first time doing group travel, which, truthfully, I wasn't sure how I would like it. I'm used to, or typically prefer, solo travel, hostels, and the beat to my own drum. Took a chance because I was in dire need of a vacay, didn't want to plan, and thought it might be cool to meet new people. Now, these trips certainly aren't the cheapest, and you could probably plan cheaper on your own, but that's not the point! Like also, on a side note, how did FTLO pair me with the best and most well-suited awesome roomie?! I'm still sitting here baffled by what I filled out in this roommate survey for this roommate pairing business ha. And truly, everything and the whole experience in Colombia, through FTLO, was made worthwhile with expectations that were far exceeded in a very large part due to our gem of a trip leader, tour guide, and new friend in Will. We're so grateful to Will for sharing his world with us with an expertly curated itinerary, sharp attention to detail, crazy good fun energy, and the motivation to keep our group as one solid unit. I mean, seriously, get that man a raise, stat! He deserves the world for all the energy and work he puts in! I'm seriously impressed with all that I've come out with following this Colombian adventure. Great (and silly) memories to last a lifetime, beautiful pictures in scenic spaces, unique local activities like a trek through a lush green mountainous coffee farm, floating in a bubbly muddy volcano, and a cool boat excursion through the bluest blue waters (but not without your diaper floaty 🤣), oh and excellent well selected restaurants and recommendations, but not to mention some seriously enjoyable company. My only regret is that the trip wasn't longer, as I was sad to depart from the new friends just made. I will even admit to my earlier attempts to stray a couple of times, but the experience really is better together, so I appreciate the subtle concerted efforts made by Will to keep reeling me back in moments when I got lost in my own head. The human connection is a powerful thing, and I think that's really what group travel is really about - the bonds you make with new people and the travel journey you experience together. Thank you for making me feel seen, Will. But also thank you for masterminding, and for FTLO, a trip of a lifetime never to be forgotten. I'm looking forward to another! Cheers!

I just got back from my trip to South Africa with FTLO. Our trip leader Jose was one of a kind. He definitely took our trip to the next level with his knowledge and passion for his country. I just returned home from my FLTO Costa Rica trip. There is not a single bad thing I could say about the trip and the organization. Just got back from Morocco with FTLO Travel and it was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had. Our wonderful group had eight packed days of sights, activities, and culture through different cities and exquisite landscapes. The trip was particularly special thanks to our local leader, Nabil, who planned special stops and meals and tea with local families to make sure we received a truly authentic experience. Bonus points for taking us to a rug cooperative that supports local women artisans. So thankful for the experience and can’t wait for my next trip!

It has been a couple of days now since the end of my 3rd FTLO trip, Morocco. Looking back, I believe that this is the best trip that I have been on yet! The entire trip from start to finish was incredible. As a group we got to see and do some incredible things! I don't want to spoil all of the details for future travelers, but some of my personal highlights was watching the sunrise/sunset in the Sahara Desert, learning how to make Chicken Tagine, and wandering the medinas of Fes and Marrakesh. The list of experiences, sights, foods that I enjoyed, could go on and on forever. The group that I was with was fantastic as well. I met some amazing people on this trip, who I believe will become lifelong friends and possibly future travel partners. What made the trip the best of the three that I have been on, though, was the trip leader, Sara. Sara was absolutely incredible. I could say that she went above and beyond to make our trip as enjoyable as possible, but that would be an understatement. Sara exceeded my wildest expectations. She is arguably the most kind, caring human that I have ever met. As our trip leader she worked tirelessly day after day to ensure we had everything we needed and that the trip ran as smoothly as possible. She helped us navigate the ancient maze of streets in each of the cities. She translated anything that we needed so that we could gain the best understanding of the country as possible. She went way beyond her job as a tour guide to make sure we were safe, secure, and comfortable. She was our savior on multiple occasions when we couldn't figure something out. She made me and I expect all of the other travelers as well, like we were at home in this foreign land. Sara is the epitome of passion and dedication to her work. I am forever grateful for her. If you are a young professional looking to take a trip, FTLO is the company for you. I had a great time on FTLO Travel's Morocco trip! I've never used a tour group before (I prefer traveling with friends or solo travel), but saw the good reviews and decided to give it a try. It was a fantastic experience! The places we visited and the activities we did were well organized and perfectly curated. We stayed at some fantastic accommodations, including our own personal riad for a couple nights. Most of all, our tour guide Sara was fantastic! She managed to coordinate everything and went above and beyond in helping people in our group whenever issues arose (lost luggage from the airlines, flight changes due to travel cancellations, etc.). I just came back from an FTLO tour of Morocco and it was the trip of a lifetime. This was my first experience with group travel and because of our amazing guide, Sara, my expectations were just blown out of the water. We went on a camel ride through the Sahara, took a sunrise hot air balloon ride, drove through the Atlas Mountains and visited the Todra Gorge and so much more. Sara is incredibly knowledgeable of her country's history and culture and it is clear she is deeply passionate about providing others with the opportunity to learn and experience it. She is also very fun, genuine and sweet. She was always happy to help with any issue that may have arisen along the way. It was very clear, she works very hard to offer a unique experience that is positive for the members of the tour group and even added in many extras to the itinerary. Go to Morocco. While the down time was minimal, this travel experience was very unique and incredibly rich.

FTLO Jordan was my second trip and it was just as good as the first. It's really amazing how much you see and experience on FTLO trips without feeling like a tourist in a big group. They keep the groups small so you really get to know everyone, I have made close friends through these trips. The only thing I would caution for the Jordan trip is it is very fast paced, up very early every morning and nonstop all day.... except for some down time on the car rides. That being said I wouldn't change anything! I personally like that and it's how you are able to do so much on one trip. Also Mahmoud was our tour leader and was the best! He made the trip run smoothly, told us the history, answered all our questions, and was just a really fun tour leader. Absolutely loved this trip!

Just got back from the Almalfi Coast & Puglia trip, and it was out of this world! From the unique lunch spots, the incredible boating day, top-notch hotels, and a few surprises, it was everything I expected and more. Two highlights: 1. Lecce is a beautiful place to start a trip - arrive early to do a biking tour, a cooking class, or just admire the architecture and street musicians! 2. The boating day around Capris was out of this world. The cliffs, the swimming, the limoncello... I want to go back! Our guide, Hatim, was awesome! He brought a lot of energy and excitement to every day - I appreciated how he consistently checked in to see how I was doing, always offering electrolytes! Every day and every hour, he went the extra mile to make sure we had an awesome trip.

The FTLO trip to Colombia is not a budget vacation but it’s worth every dollar spent for a curated travel experience without the hassles and headaches of planning and coordinating with a group that may have different needs, since those are handled by the company. You’re getting top excursions booked and managed by the company in advance, accommodations in trendy boutique hotels (many in our group were content to just chill on the rooftop pools during free time), transportation between destinations, and approximately 80% of meals covered. This is a unique opportunity to experience Cartagena and Medellín through the eyes of a local (our amazing trip leader, Will!) and everything was well executed by the FTLO team, with constant check-ins on our comfort and receptive to feedback on our likes and dislikes. I especially appreciate that a couple of the activities were in support of the local community and sustainable practices. Our trip leader also gave plenty of dining, shopping, and exploration ideas to do during our free time. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide or crew to travel with. We may have been lucky but our group connected, laughed and partied together from the start and became like family over the 9 days in Colombia. I can’t wait to get back together with this group and book future trips with FTLO.

I just got back from the Croatia trip with Hrvoje (Henry). Wow, what a beautiful country! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The accommodations were incredible, so nice! The included travel was easy and didn't have us carrying our bags around too much. The planned activities were awesome because we got so much variety. Henry took an incredible trip and made it even better. He shared the history of the country and his own stories to give us a more complete appreciation for everything we saw and did. I just got back from my second FTLO trip and it was more than I could have hoped for. Greece is incredible and FTLO made sure that we saw the best of it. The legendary Makayla was our trip leader. She is so fun and personable, and went out of her way to give recommendations for free time and make sure everyone had what they needed. I am normally a huge planner for all my trips, so this was nice for me to take a break and know that I could trust in FTLO to come up with the perfect itinerary. The activities were so fun and there was a good amount of free time to use however you wanted. I’m a huge foodie and love eating the local cuisine when I travel, so the group dinners were a highlight for me. We got to try so many local, delicious dishes (so much yummy cheese ♥️) and there was plenty to go around. I’ve previously gone on the Lapland trip, which was probably the most unique trip I’ve ever been on. Can’t wait for my next trip with FTLO, hopefully sooner rather than later!

I thought nothing could beat my FTLO Lapland trip in 2019, but the FTLO Costa Rica was even better! The hotel was right on the beach with amazing pools and areas to lounge around. Our guide Laura made the trip run seamlessly - she communicated any concerns we had in Spanish to the locals, set up extra excursions, and promoted a welcoming atmosphere. I’m not sure how other group trips are, but everyone got along so well and ate every meal and did every excursion together and made the trip just the best. From surfing, to zip-lining, to the catamaran ride, to drinks, and eating, everything was an amazing adventure. I was so sad to leave but I have the best memories from my best trip yet.

Absolutely fabulous! I went on my first trip with FTLOT to Tuscany and Rome and it was better than I ever could’ve imagined. My favorite part was that FTLOT thought of unique, off the beaten path activities. My favorite thing we did was to go truffle hunting with a local Tuscan family. Then they cooked for us using the truffles we found and we got to spend time at their stunning countryside villa/farm. It was so relaxing to have the whole week planned for you and not have to worry about transfers or what was coming next. They also provided ample free time so we could fit in whatever activities were important to each individual. Monica was our tour guide and she was so fun! It was like she was part of our group all while keeping us on track and organized. She gave us recommendations for anything we needed. I can’t wait to go on another FTLOT trip… now to pick which one bc they all look wonderful!

Just returned from FTLO trip to Morocco and I'm still reeling. From wandering the winding alleys of the medinas & souks to seeking the perfect photo in Chefchaoun this trip had it all. I have just completed my 5th FTLO. This time it was to Jordan. FTLO has always put together a great itinerary for their trips in my opinion and the Jordan trip was no different. From seeing historic sites, canyoning, taking in one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, floating in the Dead Sea, and of course a camel ride, the Jordan trip offered it all. My trip was made even better by having Mahmoud as our guide. Mahmoud taught us all so much about his country and it’s history. He always had a smile on his face and his enthusiasm was contagious. She made sure we hit the best spots in town with VIP service the whole way. I travelled with FTLO in November 2022 to South Africa and it was an unbelievable experience. The safari aspect of our trip was out-of-this-world; being feet away from wild animals (including leopards and lions) in Krueger was something I will never forget. The two different reserves that were booked were both phenomenal, each with their own personality. After being on safari, most things would pale in comparison except for beautiful Cape Town. Exploring the city and its gorgeous coast in addition to the winelands was incredible. What truly set our trip apart from any other travel experience was our trip leader Machiel. He was extremely knowledgeable about South African history and culture, he was able to manage group dynamics well, he has connections in the tourism industry and was able to coordinate additional activities if people wanted them (ex: shark diving), and he handled any hiccups we had with reservations with ease because of the relationships he's built with the people at the locations we visited. Above all else, his love and pride for his country was so authentic and apparent that it was impossible to not get the sense that he loved his job as a guide. This was a 10/10 experience that I'd recommend to anyone and everyone!

This was such an adventurous trip which is exactly what I was looking for and it did not disappoint. We just got back from Costa Rica, and I have the worst vacation withdrawal ever. Everything about the trip was great - the people, the trip leader Laura, the activities, the food, and the planning. The FTLO team also did a great job of working through some unexpected planning issues that came up last minute ahead of the trip. Overall, there is a good balance of organized time devoted to activities like ziplining and surfing and downtime to hang out and chill. The vibe in Tamarindo is very laid back - perfect to slow down and actually feel like you're on vacation. I may have gotten lucky with my trip. The best part for me was how well our group got along with each other. I think we all genuinely liked each other and plan to stay in touch.

I just returned from Vietnam (Feb 18-26th) - my first Asian country and first FTLO trip, but definitely not my last after this amazing experience!!! Our tour leader, Phong, was AMAZING! As a local, he gave us a truly unique experience because he had all of the inside knowledge, including accessing areas only available to locals in Hanoi and where the best-kept secret food spots could be found. The FTLO trip to South Africa was one of the best trips I have ever taken. Our trip leader Machiel was super helpful and always catered our daily itineraries to what our group was most excited to see and do. We got to hike up Lion's Head, see the penguin colony at Boulder Beach, and see so many animals on multiple safari drives. It was truly a magical experience and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to travel especially to Africa. It was great balance of city life and Cape Town mixed with the feeling of adult camp and outdoor adventures.

I went to Havana, Cuba and LOVED IT! Ivan was our tour guide and he was amazing - he was so fun and you could tell he loved his job, he made it fun for us. Cuba is an amazing country, I can't wait to go back. The group was great - I was worried about who else would be on the trip, but all of them were so easy to get along with and I enjoyed spending time with them (I was actually the only one who this was their first FTLO trip!! everyone else had been before!). All the activities were well planned and thought out, it was a great mix of everything! I definitely recommend getting in a day early, it is a short trip and you are going to wish you had more time. If you are thinking about booking Havana with FTLO - DO IT!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat. The hotel we stayed at was amazing and the staff so helpful and friendly - they were honestly the best part. I learned so much about Cuba and the people there. I was surprised by how friendly and open everyone was to Americans, they were happy we were there. In summary - GO TO HAVANA!!!

I just got back from my first trip with FTLO to Iceland, and it certainly won’t be my last! I’m a fairly seasoned traveler, and I’ve personally always found that when choosing a travel destination, I have to decide if I want something more immersive and experiential, but with a ton of planning and coordination, or something more relaxing and chill, but not super stimulating/interesting/new. FTLO gives the best of both worlds - I came back from Iceland feeling like I truly experienced the country’s landscape and culture, but without needing to do any of the constant mental math of figuring out travel routes, places to eat, the nearest bathroom, etc etc - the little things you want to give your brain a break from when you’re on vacation. We were even given recs for the blocks of free time, so if you wanted to go fully on autopilot and trust someone else with all of the details, you’d be in very good hands (but if you want a little more freedom/control - you have that option too). Sean, our trip leader, was the best - in addition to executing the trip details flawlessly, he was also an excellent community builder, road trip DJ, trip photographer (all the pics I’m attaching were taken by his expert eye), and probably a million other roles I’m forgetting but were so crucial to how great this trip was. 10/10, am already eyeing the other FTLO locations to figure out my next trip!!

I am an avid solo traveller and a very comfortable one at it. For my summer vacations of 2022, I thought maybe I should give change a chance. Maybe go with a group and see where things go? I was actively looking out for possible options and this is when I stumble upon FTLO. Their website experience - emphasis on UX, UI and nuance really got my attention. On a closer look, I found their itineraries to leave plenty of 'free' time subtly encouraging me - made me think I could do my own thing too if I don't get along with the group. The next few weeks I spent in contemplation, FTLO gets everything right, right from their proposal/product offering to their email content, expectation setting, sales strategy - nothing too aggressive or flamboyant. But, I couldn't get myself over the hump of travelling in a group, with complete strangers nevertheless. I still cannot put a finger on what it was that finally convinced me, maybe an amalgamation of the above things backed by my own will to push myself. Anyways, I took the leap and the date was set - I was going to Croatia in August! Croatia is a spectacular country with so much to offer, the oceanic blue waters, amazing rose', red tiled roofs and the Venetian palaces with dry stone walls can work its charm on anyone even the thick hearted. But there is a difference between a good holiday and a great one. For me, the former is mostly about how much I end up liking the destination itself - its sights, culture, its wine, ease of travelling within! But in the great ones, it's the time I personally had that swings the odds. An almost melancholy feeling that reminds me that this time that's gone by was probably amongst the best I've had and will never be recreated just the same way ever again. This is where FTLO, our tour guide Henry (Hrvoje - pronounced in 3 syllables) and the people come in. With FTLO, your holiday isn't just about the destination, the sights you cover, the line-items you check off your lists. Your guide, your travel crew are at the centre of your experience. The wine tasted sweeter, the heat felt more bearable and long gelato queues didn't feel too long because we were together, laughing with both hands on our bellies having a riot even during those mundane tasks. The answer to the question of why I had a great time is not really tangible but I can safely say, even if I find myself back in Croatia sometime later in my life - in its blue waters with the perfect sights for sore eyes. I will most likely end up complaining about the heat and the long queues which would seem hotter and longer than ever because I won't have the crew with me. Shoutout to -> Henry/ Hr'vo'ye: Someone who goes over and beyond, understands when you want to take a break but more importantly is a great DJ who gets the vibe! -> My travel crew and all their quirks -> FTLO for making all of this happen To the readers, if you've stuck around for this long - and if you found yourself in the same boat as me, my 2 cents : Do yourself the favour and give change a chance, Like someone on this trip pointed out to me- you miss a 100% of the chances you don't take!

My two friends and I loved our trip to Costa Rica over New Years eve. We connected with wonderful people and created new friendships, took part in unique experiences and fun activities, and didn't have to worry about planning any of it! Our host, Laura, was amazing and looked after all of our groups needs and made sure we were able to enjoy each day. The company handled the logistical challenges very well, making sure to go above and beyond in dealing with cancellations out of their control. I recently got back from a trip with FTLO for South Africa with guide Machiel. It was more than I could ever have hoped for in an international remote destination. I knew I didn’t want to plan and I couldn’t make the schedule work with friends so decided to go with a guided itinerary. I had reservations about the group and spending so much time with strangers but ultimately I met incredible people who all shared a passion for adventure. The activities were all curated and I found every single one highly enjoyable. All the while, I saw amazing animals on safaris, learned surfing, viewed amazing wine country and felt like I experience the best that South Africa could offer. It was overall an incredible trip. I just got back from the Jordan trip and it was UNREAL. Such an unbelievable trip. I whole heartedly recommend using FTLO and specifically the Jordan trip. It was so well planned and every activity was incredible, especially the canyoning and desert jeep tour. I just got home after an AMAZING trip to Greece curated by FTLO. I don’t “do” group travel so felt nervous about booking but as soon as I met my group and the incomparable Makayla, I quickly realized I had nothing to be worried about! From floating in the Dead Sea, to canyoning in the Wadi Mujib, to viewing the Treasury in person, this itinerary is packed with so many activities that there is never a dull moment. Seriously, our trip leader Mahmoud really knocked it out of the park on this one for FTLO. His passion for tourism and his love for his country really shines throughout the entire trip. We learned so much about the culture and history of Jordan that each meal was filled with deep conversations among the group. Do I write reviews? No, but I have to thank FTLO and Phong for an amazing first trip to Vietnam. I was skeptical about group travel and especially to SEA, but the FTLO staff and Phong, our trip leader, did an amazing job. From planning logistics of hotels, activities, and travel to free days with plenty options to explore, this trip was above my expectations and would highly recommend. Be open-minded when visiting Vietnam, and be down to eat and celebrate with the locals.

The Barcelona and South of France tour was AMAZING! Jordana, the tour guide, really made the tour as special as it was. I truly do not think my trip would be the same without her! I just returned from Colombia and had the time of my life. FTLO put together an amazing itinerary. There were so many things that I simply wouldn't have done if I had travelled alone. One highlight for me was the mud bath. Being covered in mud from head to toe was hilarious. If you want to get a good bang for your buck definitely sign up for a FTLO trip. The hotels, meals and other included activities blew me away. I also appreciated that some Colombian treats were included as well. Things that I normally wouldn't even stop to buy from a street vendor turned out to be delicious! I Also want to give the biggest shout out to our trip leader Will. He poured his heart and soul into making sure our trip was unbelievable. He is one of the most genuine people I have ever met as well. He took time to get to know everyone on the trip and created an atmosphere where we all became family. I went on two FTLO travel trips back to back in Sept 2021 and it was the best two weeks of my life. This was my first time traveling outside of the US and I felt completely comfortable and safe the entire time. The Greek islands trip is so worth the money-literally a dream vacation. I cannot say enough good things about my trip leader, Virginia. She is a Greek native and very knowledgeable about Greek history and recommendations for bars/restaurants/activities for your free time. She was available before, during, and after the trip to answer questions and was so organized ensuring the whole trip ran smoothly. I absolutely loved the itinerary- Milos, Santorini, and Paros were stunning. If you like relaxing at the beach, swimming/snorkeling, boat days, trying new food/wine, nights out with new friends, golden sunsets, and unreal views this trip is for you. The Tuscany & Rome trip was equally as amazing. It has a really great balance of scheduled activities and free time so there’s a lot of opportunities to wander on your own/with people from your group and see what you are interested in. Nicole, the trip leader, is incredible! She's been living in Italy for almost 10 years (and also leads the Almafi Coast trip) so she has all the insider knowledge of the best sites and restaurants that are actually worth going to. Definitely bring your walking shoes, I did 15-20k steps per day. Highlights: Learning to cook a 4-course Italian meal, truffle hunting in Tuscany followed by lunch with a view enjoying the fresh truffles, all the family-style meals with the group enjoying cappuccinos, cacio e pepe, tiramisù, carbonara, wine & gelato. If you’re looking to learn about the history of Rome, check historical sites off the bucket list (Trevi fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon, St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican), saunter the streets of Italy getting lost in the beautiful architecture & have endless pasta and gelato you will love this trip. I will definitely be booking another trip with FTLO travel in the future and recommend them to anyone who wants to see the world without the stress of planning/booking. They took care of everything; coordinating transportation, ferry tickets, dinner reservations, guided-tour bookings, hotel stays and boat rides. Also, they were on top of all of the COVID requirements, communicating everything we needed to prepare for the trip. It’s extremely helpful traveling with a trip leader that can speak the local language. The vibe of the trips felt very authentic and not touristy. These trips exceeded my expectations for sure and I made so many unforgettable memories. If you’re on the fence about it, this is your sign to do it!

About a year ago I had planned a whole trip through out Colombia. I usually do the major planning for trips my good friends and I take and they are usually fantastically packed and paired with both culture and extracurricular activities. I have to say I could’ve never in a million years provided and prepared such a stellar trip. Will, our guide, was not only incredibly knowledgeable about each place we went to, but he cared enough to really try and bring us the best his home country had to offer. He was more than just a guide; he became a friend to our entire group and truly believed that for us to have the most heart felt trip possible, we had to unite as a single unit. I’ve been on 3 ftlo trips now and this Jordan trip that I just got back from might be my favorite. There are so many activities planned that there is rarely a dull moment. If you have any trepidations with traveling to that part of the world you shouldn’t Jordan is a very open minded and friendly country. I was the only guy on my trip and all the women felt the same way. Our trip leader was AMAZING. Mahmoud really has a deep love for his country and you can tell he loves sharing that with other people. He did the typical stuff, got us to where we needed to go. But he’s also super knowledgeable about the history. He’s also very funny and personable. I honestly hope I can make it back to Jordan one day.

Being my first FTLO trip I wasn’t sure what to expect fully. I decided to join the South of France & Barcelona trip since I had never been to either area. I like traveling with a group as a female going solo to meet new friends and not have to think about the itinerary when traveling to somewhere new. Overall it was a good experience, I was able to see a lot with great company. The FTLO team is very lovely, positive and welcoming. Our trip leader, Sean, was wonderful, confident, smart and organized. I was a bit disappointed to learn he was not from the region. Regardless, he did a wonderful job leading the group and showing us around the countries. I was very pleased with the group of people attending the trip, it was a small intimate group. We were able to bond deeply and have tons of fun together. I was most looking forward to the cooking class in Nice and I was not disappointed. It was fun, hands on and delicious. Plus the catamaran in Barcelona was a major highlight of the trip! Our group made it out to a night of karaoke, probably one of our best group nights. I enjoyed having free time to relax and explore on our own. However, the activities left more to be desired.

Just got back from my first trip with FTLO in Mexico City! It was an incredible experience! I had previously only traveled with a younger age range and massive group size, but now I absolutely love the young professionals vibe of the older age group and the small group size that FTLO brings. The trip was expertly organized and executed, and the highlight for me was the incredible husky sledding experience - it was simply magical. But what really made this trip stand out was our amazing trip leader, Monica. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time, and her enthusiasm and positivity were infectious. Monica's knowledge and passion for Lapland was evident throughout the trip - she took us to the best spots to see the Northern Lights, and even taught us some of the local history and traditions. She made sure everyone felt included and connected, and I left the trip with some truly wonderful new friends. The itinerary was really well thought out so we could have a mixture of all Cartagena and Medellin had to offer. We got so much done in the 9 days that it felt like I was there for 2 months! My group was amazing and we bonded in such a short time ❤️ I unfortunately was sick for one of my days on my trip and Will was there in a second with pedialyte and medications in hand!. If I could make any suggestions it would be that maybe a few more free days could be added because the shopping in Colombia is fantastic 😀. FTLO Iceland was EPIC! Our tour guide, Maddy, was absolutely phenomenal. She provided daily updates on the itinerary and useful recommendations on what to wear. The entire trip was worry-free thanks to Maddy. :) Maddy was also incredibly knowledgeable about Iceland and its hidden gems. For example, she took us to a "secret waterfall" near Seljalandsfoss and I got some pretty incredible photos. By the end of the trip, we were convinced Maddy had superpowers because we had GREAT weather the entire time and saw EVERYTHING on the itinerary! When we visited Diamond Beach, we were told that there hadn't been any glacial ice washed up on the beach for the last 5 weeks. However, the #MaddyMagic must have been working because we managed to see Diamond Beach covered with glacial ice! The #MaddyMagic continued because we were able to see the Northern Lights not once, but TWICE on the trip. From a food tour in Reykjavik, to exploring ice caves, to relaxing in Sky Lagoon, this trip had it all! This was my second FTLO trip and I can't wait to book my next one. If you're looking for a mix of relaxation, adventure, & delicious treats, FTLO Iceland is the way to go!

I just returned from Jordan and had an amazing time! Jordan is such a beautiful country and there was so much to see! From the beautiful colorful city of Amman, to the Dead Sea, to canyons, deserts, and of course Petra! I honestly enjoyed so many aspects of the trip and it was one of the best tours I've been on. Mahmoud was our tour guide and he did a great job showing us around and providing history of the country. He had a wonderful energy about him and was fun and informative the whole trip. The only thing I would warn is that everyone should go into the trip being flexible with time. I learned punctuality may not be top notch in Jordan, and someone saying something will take 15 min may actually end up taking much longer. That said, if you go into it prepared for that you will have an AMAZING time. I loved my trip and would love to come back to Jordan in the future.

Just came back from Morocco this week and we had an amazing adventure. Rashid, our tour leader went above and beyond to help some of us struggling with luggage and flight issues among other things. He kept surprising us with the day to day activities and made sure we all had a great time and enjoyed ourselves while keeping us safe. The accomodations at different Riads were also fabulous but the service was even better. Got super spoiled everywhere we went and we even got our genie in a bottle, Amin from the staff at the Riad in Marrakesh. That's what we were calling him because he literally was everywhere and saving us at every turn 😅 Our drivers were rockstars, even when getting stopped for inspection multiple times, we never had issues and driving through the narrow roads near the medina in Marrakesh believe me, deserves some sort of trophy 👏 We even had a chance to interact with a nomad family and learn a lot about what being a nomad entails and also took a wonderful cooking class and made our own chicken tangine 🍛 It is evident that the company and staff are very professional and care about the well-being of everyone involved. I just finished the Greek Islands trip (August 2022), and while there are many highlights, I think the biggest highlight was our Greek tour guide: Melpo! Melpo is a fun, funny, kind, cool, knowledgeable, helpful, and overall lovely lady from Crete. She taught us Greek words and Greek culture. She made the trip as wonderful as it was. Every person in the group absolutely loved her. And, we couldn’t imagine the trip without her. Melpo gets 10 stars!!!! In addition to Melpo, some of our other highlights were a boat day in Milos (dreamy!), a sunset boat ride in Santorini, and a visit to a palatial farm in Paros with the most beautiful view (stunning!). The only criticism I would give is that the hotels were not our favorite. But, we were all good sports about it and made the best of everything. Traveling internationally with a group of strangers was a positive learning experience, and I’m glad I did it! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to travel solo but with a group of people to explore and do things with.

I found FTLO when I was looking to book a solo trip to South Africa. Now that I have completed the trip, I can't express how happy I booked this trip with FTLO. The amount of detail into the curation of the entire trip is what made this trip so special and being it was hosted by a person who was so passionate about his country just made the trip even better than I could have hoped. I recently returned from FTLO's Greece trip, which was spectacular! This trip was my fourth FTLO trip (previous trips were South Africa, Scandinavia, and Colombia). It was also my tenth group trip. While the other tour operators were good, they do not remotely compare to the curated itineraries, superb lodging, restaurant choices, crew of like-minded Millennials/Gen Z peers, and top-class trip leaders that FTLO offers. My latest trip to Greece, where we visited Milos, Santorini, and Paros, proves just how great FLTO is compared to other group-trip operators. Every day of the trip was planned perfectly. Most days of the trip consisted of private catamaran tours, reservations at beach clubs with beautiful white sand beaches, happy hours with superb sunsets overlooking the Aegean Sea, dinners at authentic and delicious Greek tavernas, and post-dinner drinks at local seaside bars. As much as I pride myself on being an avid researcher and planner, there is no way I could have even come close to replicating this trip on my own. Even if I could, I could not replicate a core part of going on an FLTO trip: the group. Every FTLO trip I have gone on, the crew has been superb, and I have been amazed at the end of each trip the speed at which I was able to make close and lasting friendships with people in the group. Having done an extensive amount of world travel alone and with travel tour companies that cater to all age groups, the crew on each of my four FTLO trips has been top-notch and a critical element that made each trip special and memorable. But a great itinerary and great group only works have one critical and essential element: a great trip leader. For this trip and my previous trip to Colombia, I was fortunate enough to have Makayla as my trip leader. On both trips, she did a superb job coordinating all our tours and bookings and propelling the group forward with her positive energy. Mark Twain famously said that the two most important days in your life are the day you are born, and the day you find out why. Unlike other group leaders I have in the past, who viewed their role as a trip as merely a job, I genuinely feel that Makayla considers her role as her true calling on this earth. In both trips that I had with her, she went to incredible lengths to ensure that I, and everyone in my group, was having a fantastic and life-changing vacation! For anyone looking to rekindle their passion for travel after months of lockdown, I highly recommend FTLO and their Greek Islands trip!

FTLO South Africa was my first experience with an organized travel group and it exceeded my expectations! I loved the smaller size of the group and how balanced the itinerary was between Kruger and Capetown. The safari was absolutely amazing and I also loved seeing the winelands outside of Capetown. Our trip leader Jose was amazing too! He showed us so many great spots in Capetown during his walking tour and recommended many more for our free day. Trip number 5 is in the books and let me tell you, there’s a reason (or a million reasons😉) why I keep booking trips with FTLO. While the goodbyes may never get any easier, the unforgettable memories and lifelong friends you find along the way are something I wouldn’t trade for the world. Croatia is an absolutely breathtaking country and we got to experience all of its glory in an incredible itinerary put together by FTLO. From boat days, to wine tasting, cliff jumping and kayaking, each day was packed with fun, sun and TONS of laughs with some of the best people I now have the pleasure to call family. I can’t possibly end this review without giving the biggest shoutout to Hrvoje (aka Henry; aka Dad). When I say he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure our trip was amazing, I mean it. Not only did he do what was expected of him as a trip leader, but he helped coordinate the return of lost luggage, sent info for scheduling transport for all of us going our separate ways (buses, ferries, airplanes, oh my!) AND even waited for a ferry carrying a wallet that was lost and returned from a whole other island plus SO much more. He is the true definition of a leader. By the end of the trip we all felt like his kids and him our dad because he took such good care of us (even though some of us may be a little bit older than him🤪). If I could, I would do another trip with Henry in a heartbeat! Thank you FTLO and Hvala Hrvoje for another trip of a lifetime. You’re truly making my travel and life dreams come true one country at a time. ————————— My fourth trip with FTLO Travel is now in the books and all I can say is every time I think it can’t get any better, I’m quickly proven wrong. I returned from my FTLO Greece trip a little less than a week ago and now that I’m back to reality, I’ve had a chance to reflect on just how incredible this trip was. Of course, Greece is absolutely breathtaking but I have to take a moment to brag on my trip mates who made this trip one for the books. Every single person was so uplifting, positive and inclusive and made each day better than the last. We truly became a family by the end of the trip and I am blessed to have met each and every one of them. I also can’t end without reiterating just how breathtakingly beautiful the Greek Islands are and the food was so good, I’m still craving it. The boat and beach days were definitely some of my favorites but I have to say the organic farm may be at the top of the list for me. Not going to go into too much detail but it was definitely a great addition to the trip. Now, saving the best for last, our trip leader, Isaiah. She truly went above and beyond her duties as a trip leader with her willingness to help every step of the way and sharing her culture and knowledge with Greece being her home country. She was more than just a trip leader but someone I would now call a friend. She was so open and honest and even there for me when I was having my own personal struggles. I cannot say enough about her and hope to have her lead some of my future trips.

We had 9 solo travelers and 6 people traveling together. Next time I think it would be more fun to bring a friend! I didn't realize so many people don't travel solo on FTLO trips.

I had an amazing time on my first FTLO trip to South Africa and cannot recommend it, and our tour guide Machiel, enough! As an avid solo traveler, I was skeptical about the benefits of group travel but was pleasantly surprised by the top notch accommodations, organization, and thoughtfulness of this trip. Machiel especially made the journey so special for all of us. Not only was his love for his country infectious, but his high energy, positivity, and enthusiasm were essential for getting us through rainy days and cold winds. In particular, he imbued the trip with plenty of history and culture of this diverse country and I came away much more knowledgeable, which was fortunate given that the FTLO itinerary is immensely fun but didn’t emphasize historical sites or the apartheid. Luckily, Machiel provided that insight and I recommend this trip primarily because of him. While Machiel certainly ensured that we had a smooth trip, and a particularly fun time given his rapport with other drivers, tour guides, and people of the tourism industry that we met, the FTLO itinerary for this trip is near spot-on with fantastic game drives, safari experiences, hikes, and downtime in a city. I was really impressed with the high-quality of everything from our transportation to the meals that were included and our accommodations which were often private at the start of the trip (the entire resort was just for FTLO). Every person we encountered from our safari drivers to airport transfer drivers were well-chosen and made our trip that much more memorable. The only point of feedback I have for FTLO is to ensure that important travel information is adequately conveyed as the platform they use, an app which “locked” me out of accessing our day-to-day itinerary and other important information, glitched often. There is also such a plethora of content that it’s hard to know what to prioritize and when re: passport/visa/COVID test/packing/etc. I encourage FTLO to either use a different platform or also use emails to inform participants of important deadlines and requirements for the trip. All that being said, I still highly recommend this trip! I had a blast and especially believe that a trip with Machiel is worth the cost. :)

Could not recommend this company enough. Just got back from their Morocco trip and everything was run so unbelievably smoothly, largely because of our amazing trip leader Sara! She went above and beyond in every way, and her local expertise allowed us to have such a unique, local experience that you could never have gotten by traveling solo. We were welcomed into a traditional Moroccan home one night to make dinner and dance, we stopped by to visit a nomad family near Fez that Sara happened to know and they made us tea! Sara was the sweetest and most accommodating, fun trip leader and this experience would not have been the same without her. Morocco is stunning and so diverse. The highlight had to be glamping in the Sahara Desert one night after riding on camels into the desert. If you’re looking for an awesome adventure, book with FTLO Travel!

Sean Rumage was our trip leader and he was outstanding in making the experience as positive and fun as possible. Just got back from my FTLO trip in Costa Rica and not only do I have amazing things to say about the trip, but I want to bring up my trip leader Mandy Holland who made it extra special. She is one beautiful soul! Was always with open arms making everyone feel special and included, hung out with us throughout the trip from morning until night and helped accommodate everyone’s activity needs, transportation, included dinners and more. She’s phenomenal! When I book my next FTLO trip I am going to ask if she can be the trip leader for that specific trip. These FTLO trips are such a great way to see the world and connect with people. I had such a wonderful time in Costa Rica. I just got home from the FTLO Morocco trip - this was my first time with FTLO and I couldn't recommend it enough! Our guide, Sara, was truly my favorite part about the trip. She made us feel safe, welcome, and pushed our boundaries with excursions in addition to what was on the itinerary! She put so much love into this trip - we supported local Moroccan businesses through artisan shops instead of supporting mass manufactured tourist shops throughout the country. We were able to see the production & hand-craft at every step and shop directly. She is passionate about supporting these artisans as well as anyone who helped us along in our path from the bellhops to waitstaff, guides, and Mona - a nomadic woman who served us tea in her home! We all learned so much about Moroccan history, culture & architecture while being fully immersed through cooking classes, a hot air balloon ride and even a camel ride through the Sahara! The trip was packed with activities, but I'm happy we pushed to be able to do all of these wonderful things while visiting Morocco. I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in broadening their travel horizons, especially if they get to have Sara as their guide! I truly miss her and wish she could be my guide wherever I go! She set the bar high for future group travel!

Went on my first FTLO trip to Greece, and it was so worth it!! Iraklis T. was our local tour guide, and he did an amazing job! He was able to navigate the unpredictable schedule of the ferries, beat the crowds for the cable car in Santorini, and provided great entertainment and restaurant recommendations in each island! He was nice and friendly, and just created an overall fun environment! Thank you Iraklis!! This was my first FTLO trip. I went solo, didn't know anyone else going on the trip, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming. FTLO's customer service was great! Any questions I had, were answered in a timely manner. I just completed my 4th trip with FTLO to Lapland and it was great! I felt that it had a good mix of planned activities and free time which I always appreciate. The excursions were awesome: dog sledding, snowmobiling, floating sauna, floating in an ice river, etc. We even got to see the Northern Lights! I can't say enough great things about the trip leader, Blanca. She was patient, welcoming, fun and accommodating - basically everything you want in a trip leader. My first FTLO trip was with Morocco and I don’t know if it can be topped! Sara was an INCREDIBLE tour guide. She truly went above and beyond to provide us with unique experiences that you would not be able to get on your own. She arranged an additional activity on one of our free nights to cook dinner with a local Moroccan family in Fes, took us to see how the nomads live in the Atlas Mountains (we got to go inside one of their tents!), and introduced us to local artisans, most of which were women co-ops. If we wanted to do something not on the itinerary, she gave us recommendations and arranged everything down to the transportation. We all were so sad to leave her and our new friends at the end as we bonded in a way that I haven’t experienced with group travel before. I’ve solo traveled for three months, done yacht week, and another group trip before to Costa Rica so I was excited to try FTLO for the first time as it felt like a higher end company compared to my last group trip and geared towards more experienced travelers. The cost of this trip (flights plus the FTLO fee plus the cost of taxis to get to and from the airport) was more expensive than doing yacht week (flight to athens plus my yacht week fee which included more meals). I don’t want to compare companies but I don’t think a 5 day trip to Belize should be comparable to something like yacht week in Europe. I think the hotels, the tubing activity, the catamaran (the highlight of the trip) were all great. The NYE dinner we had was super rushed and stressful. And because our guide was brand new, knowing which bars would be the most fun for NYE was a bit confusing but we figured it out. Also if you’re expecting to see conservation and environmentally friendly things in Belize, you’re in for a sad time. Lots of the activities are based on feeding wildlife (so they’re no longer really wild) and the coral reef we snorkeled at looked dead which was super heartbreaking but seeing the fish, turtles, and eagle rays was really cool. I also want to note that there were some issues with others on this trip. I completely understand that you never know who else will come on these trips but there were people that did not engage at all with the group which made for an awkward dynamic along with 2 out of the 3 male guests on the trip being so creepy that many of us actively avoided them. The women and one guy were fine. Obviously many women come on these types of trips to feel safer while traveling so it was disappointing to deal with that. Outside of that though, everyone else was welcoming and friendly and FTLO did a great job pairing me and my awesome roomie up. Our trip leader did not join us and instead his trainee, Erin, took over. Erin was great and very welcoming but since she’d never done an FTLO trip before there were definitely some weird moments that were not her fault. She should receive all sorts of thanks from FTLO for handling, it seemed really daunting. Overall, I’d try FTLO again but probably only for a European trip. I’d also hope FTLO brings back zoom calls and opens up the WhatsApp chat earlier with everyone. A lot of people planned to stay extra days and then scrambled to cancel rooms or make travel updates so they could travel with others from the group/split the cost of a hotel room together. Our chat only opened a week before the trip so many people had booked things earlier on.

I just returned from the Morocco trip. This was my second FTLO adventure and I did not think it was possible to beat my Scandinavia last year but, Morocco did not disappoint !!! Simply put, it was incredible. Extremely vibrant and our food/activities were to die for. The itinerary was well planned but there was a lot of drive time bc so definitely bring a good book. This was actually my second time with trip leader Seth. I’m pretty sure he’s been leading trips since FTLO started and you can tell because he really is the best. Seth makes sure you have the best time and I felt very safe in morocco. Each Day you get a text with the next days agenda, fun facts, and suggestions. He goes above and beyond and I recommend taking one of his trip if you like good pictures and fun times ☺️ Overall, I can’t say anything but amazing things about my vacation. The people I met were like minded and FTLO is the best way to solo travel in my opinion!! Can’t wait to pick my next location!

I was fortunate enough to be a part of FTLO Morocco this last week and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Our guide, Sara, went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was incredible. I truly felt like she was a genie, doing anything she could to make our trip even better! The itinerary set up by FTLO was a perfect mix with fun activities and cultural experiences. In addition to the itinerary, Sara gave us so many options to enjoy Morocco and see things that tourists wouldn’t ever experience. Sara is from Morocco and, because of that, really knows the country, the people, and the culture. I feel that Sara gave me a trip that I couldn’t ever plan myself. Everyday she exceeded my expectations. I wish she could be my travel guide everywhere. The hotels/Riads were amazing. The food was delicious. My group was amazing. Again, Sara was incredible. I have come away from this trip with so many amazing memories and friends, including Sara. I can’t wait for my next FTLO trip.

I went on my first FTLO trip to Lapland and I couldn't recommend it enough. Our trip leader, Monica, was absolutely wonderful! She made sure all the excursions like dog sledding and snowmobiling went off without a hitch, hung out with us in the saunas and hot pools and gazed at the Northern Lights with us, and made sure we always had enough warm clothes, sufficient food (particularly if you had a dietary constraint), and were having a great time. Puglia and Amalfi Coast was my first FTLO trip and I already booked my next one. An incredible diverse amount of activities are packed into this trip - all while being in this absolutely gorgeous region. From a cooking class, hiking, beach time, wandering old towns, chatting with locals over (many) espressos, to boating, museums and fantastic dinners – this trip really has it all. A big shoutout to our amazing trip leader Hatim, who went above and beyond making the existing schedule run extremely smooth, plus he suggested a ton of off the beaten track stops in between, made event reservations, booked (extra) boat tours, dinners, you name it for the days/hours of free time. All in all, I can highly recommend this trip and traveling with FTLO in general!

Just returned from my first FTLO trip to Iceland and had such an incredible experience with a great group of people! The itinerary had a perflect blend of activities which made it such a unique and memorable trip. From a food tour to waterfalls to hiking on a glacier to dancing at a disco bar until 3am and getting to see the northern lights afterwards. Also I can't say enough about our trip leader Megan and her positive energy. I recently returned from the Croatia trip, and it was fabulous! The itinerary is thoughtful, and has a great balance of planned activities and free time. The planned activities really include something for everyone: boat day for the beach bums, kayaking for those looking for some physical activity, walking tour of the old town for those looking for cultural insight, authentic Croatian dinner with a local couple for the foodies - l could keep going but you get my point! Our fearless leader for the week was Hrvoje (Henry), he was absolutely AMAZING. Originally from Split, Hrvoje was able to provide the group insider knowledge on places to go, what to see, eat, etc. Further, he provided historical background on the country and the different cities visited. Hrvoje did an excellent job on making everyone feel included, and our group became basically an instant family. I cannot say enough great things about Henry, FTLO is very lucky to have him as a guide! Everyone on the trip had a positive attitude and was ready to explore and see new things. I truly feel that we were a group of strangers who became forever friends! LOVED my time in Croatia, I would highly recommend this trip. Do yourself a favor, stop over-thinking and book the FTLO Croatia trip.

I just went on the trip of a lifetime with FTLO to South Africa. We explored Cape Town, went hiking, had a lovely wine tasting, hung out with penguins, and went on an incredible Safari where we saw all of the Big Five! FTLO is so organized, I felt fully prepared before I left home. The hotels and accommodations were great quality, and the itinerary balanced with awesome planned days, and free time to do as we wished (like shark cage diving!). Our tour guide, Machiel, is a knowledgable South African who guided us how he would guide his friends - he taught us about what we were interested in, gave us great tips for exploring, and did it all with a warm smile! This trip is an adventure, I highly encourage anyone whose thinking about it to sign up now!

FTLO Lapland was my first trip with FTLO. Megan, our wonderful trip leader, she was awesome!!! I loved the detailed daily itineraries; we knew what we were doing and what to wear!!! Layers, layers, layers!!! She anticipated problems before they occurred and tweaked the schedule when we got a little bit of snow. This is my 8th group travel experience, so I do have a lot to compare. The hotels and restaurants were top-notch (I personally would have booked these for myself). My question is if FTLO actually has a lot of solo travelers as they advertise because it also seems the goal is to meet more people (which is awesome) and rebook new trips. In such a small group, this makes it difficult to get to know everyone. Overall, this trip was unique, which is why I chose it, and I'd have Megan lead ALL MY TRIPS if I could.

I’ve traveled with several group travel companies and while they have all been incredibly different, the itinerary for the adventure I joined in South Africa, was so smooth and made me feel like I went home with a full experience and understanding of the culture. Nothing felt rushed. The itinerary was 10/10 and my only wish is that the safari had been longer! Our tour manager Jose was phenomenal and that person really can make or break the experience. He was so engaged with our group and had such a fun and positive attitude. He was there for any question we had and the best part is that he is truly passionate about making awesome travel experiences for his guests and he clearly takes pride in the culture he shared with us. I would hope that Jose leads any of the other future tours. Knowledge aside, he’s fun, he cares, and he wasn’t just a tour guide, he was another member that completed our group!

Just got back from my first — but definitely not my last — FTLO trip to Jordan. This was the trip of a lifetime and exceeded every one of my expectations, all thanks to a perfectly curated itinerary and our incredible guide, Mahmoud. There were so many highlights and once-in-a-lifetime, bucket list experiences on this trip it is hard to choose. The stunning Petra, canyoning, sharing meals with locals, camel riding and staying in Martian domes in the desert were unforgettable. FTLO’s planned itinerary and selection of accommodations, restaurants, and experiences is unique and unmatched, and was carried out to perfection by Mahmoud. Mahmoud was kind, attentive, extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the country and its history, and just plain fun! He took care of all of the details and made the trip so special. I can’t say enough great things about his leadership on the trip, he was fantastic and set the bar high for future guides. He gets 10 stars from me! I encourage everyone to take the road less traveled and check out Jordan with Mahmoud and FTLO. All around a wonderful trip, can’t wait for my next FTLO adventure!

I was a first-time traveler with FTLO and the trip exceeded my expectations! I am a planner, so I was worried about not having planned the trip myself, however, I was pleasantly surprised! Traveling to Havana, Cuba, requires a lot of preparation, and I was fully prepared which put me at ease when I arrived. Once there, our tour guide - Ivan - was INCREDIBLE. It was amazing to have a local with us each day. He was with us from morning until night, and really gave us an opportunity to get to know the city and country and feel like locals! I just finished The Lapland’s trip and I’m still in awe of how incredible this experience was. Three countries, countless first time and probably once in a life time experiences, and carefully curated meals that added to each day’s experience. FTLO did a great job of balancing daily activities and unique experiences like dog sledding and snowmobiling with relaxing spas and saunas. While each day’s adventure left my jaw dropped, one of the best parts of this trip was meeting SO MANY new friends! Since he is from South Africa, he was able to share so much about his country with us throughout the trip. His love for South Africa is evident and truly elevated the trip experience. I just returned from my 4th trip with FTLO and I highly recommend anyone considering taking a trip to go! Every single trip I've been on, the trips have carefully curated with a the perfect mix of touristy activities, local experiences and once in a lifetime activities. Saying this, the trips also have a great structure with a handful of planned activities daily and downtime (for relaxing or exploring on your own). I find that during the downtime, my groups have stuck together to continue to explore/eat around the cities we were in, but there is absolutely no pressure to do so. Specifically chatting about my most recent trip to the Basque Country, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a smaller town/less touristy trip. While the cities visited are often destinations for Europeans, mostly Spaniards, the cities themselves did not feel like tourist traps which meant we had the opportunity to experience the Basque culture more. Some of the highlights of this trip were the day of surfing and exploring in Biarritz, spontaneous dance parties with my FTLO crew, spending a day in the Rioja region at a couple of wineries, and learning how to play the local sport of Pelota. Our tour guide, Jordana went above and beyond to make our trip the best it could be - recommending some of her favorite restaurants/bars and even making reservations for the entire group to eat dinner together on non-included nights (no pressure to attend whatsoever). Basque Country is absolutely gorgeous and I'm grateful I had the opportunity to experience it in this way with FTLO.

I went to Croatia in early September 2022 and it turned out to be one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. The meals, activities, and overall itinerary were thoughtfully planned out and gave the perfect balance of activity and leisure. Our group guide, Hrvoje, was as good as they come and made us feel so welcome in his home country. His daily updates on the itinerary and tips on how to pack/plan for each day were incredibly helpful and took all of the work out of the experience. Though Croatia was stunning in so many ways, one of my favorite parts of the trip was the amazing friendships I made. I walked away with what I know will be lifelong friends and travel buddies. For anyone considering a trip with FTLO Travel, it’s worth every penny. Don’t hesitate and go for it!

Recently got back from my first trip to the Basque region, I enjoyed it and met some nice people. I don't usually write reviews but, as it's a significant expense, I am doing so :) To be fair, I am reviewing vs. what they advertise on their website: i) solo travellers your age; yes, this definitely helped with the group dynamics. There was a similar mindset when it came to exploring but also a maturity to let people be independent when they wanted. This applied to our guide Jordana too who was friendly, down to earth and helpful even outside of the 'planned' agenda items ii) curated adventure; yes, I thought the trip was really well put together in terms of the range of activities. In particular, I loved the combination of (light) phyiscal activity (surfing, mini-hike and pelota) with all the food/wine. The latter was very good (especially seafood) and varied in terms of establishment too i.e. michelin star, local eatery, cider house etc. iii) no planning required; yes, one of the main attractions for me on such a trip. Also, suggestions for 'downtime' activities on the website as well as sent the day before on the watsapp group was a nice touch iv) sustainable, 'slow travel'; not really, 3 hotels in 6 days basically (excl. travel days) / an afternoon to explore Biarritz etc. is not slow travel. I would have preferred less check outs or transport but I did enjoy the balance between agenda items and free time in general Given the above as well as the cost, the trip largely met my expectations (rather than exceeding them). I would consider going again on another trip with FTLO. I found the Basque region itself very impressive and I would definitely like to return to explore it further :)

I just came back from my first FTLO trip (Vietnam) and it was absolutely incredible!! Everything was so perfectly curated at each place throughout the trip. All of the hotels were very nice and extremely accommodating. Our trip leader Phong was 10/10 amazing and an absolute gem of a person. He elevated the trip on so many levels with his local knowledge and quickly accommodating anything that we needed throughout the journey. He brought such a fun and positive energy to the group and was easily one of the highlights of the trip. I had an AMAZING time and I am already looking into booking another trip with them next year. Our trip leader, Sean, was fantastic. I recently finished the FTLO Lapland trip and it was amazing! Our tour guide Monica was great, from the very first moment she met us she wanted to make sure we all had a great time, had lots of suggestions for food and activities during our free time, was very friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. The trip itself included so many unique experiences, such as crossing the artic circle, Santa's Village, ice floating, dog sledding, snowmobiling, multiple sauna/hot top visits, and to top it off multiple sightings of the northern lights. There was also free time to relax or pack in some more activities, like snow shoeing and a visit to see reindeer. All the included meals were delicious and the hotels where in great locations and nice. I would definitely recommend FTLO and the Lapland trip.

Portugal Trip. 2nd time with FTLO. I will be back for more trips! The trip leader Fahim was really great. He lead the group well and was kind, funny, approachable and all around just a good guy. The trip itself was also great. Good itinerary, hotels, activities and lots of time to explore on your own also. If you haven't been to Portugal before its definitely worth visiting! If you're new to FTLO in general, I'd recommend this as a good starter trip. It's all city locations, no in country flights, minimal drive times, wifi/cell data is plentiful, and ample free time built to explore solo if you'd like.

FTLO is an amazing travel company! One of their best features is their guides, especially the trips with local guides. I recently went on the Croatia trip and Hrvoje (aka Henry) was the best! Of course he was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the country and eager to share his culture with us, but a lot of times he just felt like one of the group. We had tons of fun just hanging out and laughing. I also loved that he made it feel like he was experiencing things for the first time with us even though it was his eight group of the year. He also knew where to find the best food! Some of the other amazing FTLO local guides I've met are Mahmoud in Jordan and Stu in South Africa. The Croatia, Jordan, and South Africa itineraries are unique and tons of fun with a great balance of exploring, adventure, and relaxing.

I just came back from my 2nd FTLO trip - Morocco, and it was a terrifically organized and put together trip. To break it down: The Great: - Sara (our Tour Guide): Pretty much nearly everything that made amazing was because of Sara and how much hard work and effort so put into it. You can tell she really loves her job, showing her country, and the experience of her travelers. Every venue and vendor knew her and respected her and out of respect made sure to give us a superior experience. a. The Lodging: Each location was a perfect blend of luxury destinations w/ plenty of amenities and service, unique cultural experiences, and simply the perfect location. b. The Things We Did: We did a combination of the must-dos (e.g., Camel riding in the Sahara and city tours), but a lot of local secrets that you probably wouldn't get on your own, or even with a local tour guide - specialty ceramic co-ops, local family visit, cooking class, and etc. - altogether all very exciting and fun. c. The Food - We had a tremendous range of exciting local culinary experiences, and got to taste the wide range of cultures across Morocco. The Good: I do appreciate that FTLO is very well digitized and having everything on Mighty Networks and Whatsapp makes communicating and coordinating easy. Everything is very detailed and laid out. The Reality: Please appreciate that everyone vacations differently. Personally, I am about soaking in experiences and active social engagement (be it with fellow travelers or locals met along the way) - Ted Lasso did say "be curious". However, one important thing to appreciate is to give space for your co-travelers to vacation differently. Some examples of different types of vacation personalities you can meet are: - The Instagramer - major priority in making it look good for the gram. - The Sniper - laser focused on making one (or two) travel objectives (destination, activity, or etc.) - The universally loved nice person out to have a good time - Unique individual with non-traditional career and lifestyle - The high energy chatty one - The glass half empty - The couple (they are actually my favorite, though at first they are sometimes less engaged with the group). - Escapist - goes on vacation to escape their everyday life just for a bit - The one along the for ride I would say each person got to know at least 2 or 3 others pretty well, and is social with 85% of the group. Given that it is a travel group of 12 or so, its impossible to really get to know everyone or be best friends with everyone. Everything was however always civil and its just a fact of group travel.

I just (sadly) arrived home from my first FTLO trip. I visited Cartagena and Medellin, Colombia with the expert leadership of guide, Will. The whole trip was absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend FTLO to any travelers! My friend and I booked the tour together but ended up spending most of our time getting to know the other people in our group, who we loved meeting and exploring with! The tour activities were perfectly curated--the only downside is you will be tired because the itinerary is action-packed! I'm fairly certain we saw everything there is to see, and the ease of having a guide who arranges your meals, travel between activities, and provides local and historical knowledge is priceless. The volcano mud "bath" was my absolute favorite activity and a fun bonding experience! Although I have no reference point, Will was the BEST tour guide!!! He provided tons of information for places to visit or eat during our "free time." He was friendly, welcoming, organized, kind and so helpful! I will note that FTLO does not give a ton of information beforehand, but trust the process! The hotels and restaurants were all very nice and safe!

Mexico City itself was incredible - fantastic atmosphere, shopping, food, culture, and people. 3. As a first time FTLO go-er and also as someone who travels a ton but is not huge on tours in general, FTLO was the GLUE that made this trip as awesome as it was. You can certainly travel to Vietnam more cheaply on your own but having someone else curate a trip for you and worry about all logistics, so that all you have to do is show up on time and have fun- priceless. I was one of 12 lovely humans on the most recent FTLO Morocco trip, and the whole experience from Day 1 to Day 9 was magical. Reviewing for trip to Colombia - this really was the trip of a lifetime. I've done a few other organized travel, but FTLO was definitely the elite! The nicest accommodations and most amazing itinerary. The tours and day trips we did were unique and "hard to reach" if we had planned on our own. Highlights for the tours include the drum lesson in Cartagena, coffee farm near Medellin, communa13 tour, day trip to Guatape and hike. Of course the boat day was incredible too. As a trip leader, Will was always one step ahead of the game. We knew exactly what was going on each day and communication was super clear. Most importantly, he had our safety as his number one priority.

I just got back from my third trip with FTLO- this one was to Vietnam and the trip did not disappoint. Throughout the trip, I was consistently impressed with the thoughtful and unique activities, accommodations, group dynamic, and meals. My favorite memories were the Vespa food trip through Hanoi and the cruise through Ha Long Bay. This trip would not have been possible without our amazing leader, Phong. He made sure that my vegetarian needs were met at every meal, went out of his way to provide activity/dining recommendations and arrangements during our free time, and created a welcoming atmosphere the entire trip while taking care of all the finer details. I was originally on the fence about giving this a whirl so I dipped my toe in the FTLO pool by going on one of the shorter, weekender trips to Belize. I like to solo travel but having never been to Belize or Central America before wasn't sure what to expect, but FTLO removed the guesswork and planning and made it so simple! The pre-trip resources were invaluable but once we touched down, the real fun began. The accommodations in both Belize City and Caye Caulker were top notch and hotel/resort staff were so friendly. All the activities included were thoughtfully curated and were diverse enough to suit any interests - whether craving adventure, historical and cultural relevance or just wanting to chill in the water and sun. There's a little something for everyone! All this wouldn't have been half as amazing though without our fantastic trip leader Erin! ❤️ She made sure everything was on schedule and running smoothly, and really made everyone feel included and welcome from the moment we sat down to our welcome dinner. Her local knowledge and connections made it all super special! Would highly recommend!

Vietnam for New Year's Eve 22'-23' was my second FTLO trip and second NYE trip! I had been impressed the first go-round in Costa Rica and thought I'd give it another go to see if a longer trip was worth the money, and boy was it ever. We had a great group first off, which is always nice since you never know what you're going to get with that aspect of group travel. As an introverted person, the social aspect of group travel is really what will keep me coming back for more with FTLO. Their handling of the logistics is second to none and the accommodations, restaurants, activities, and overall schedule of events is highly curated, and it shows. The trip's pacing was fantastic, with enough time for solo or small-group exploration/relaxation throughout. I'm sure my groupmates would agree though, that our trip leader, Phong, was really what made the trip so memorable and fun. With a considerable background in professional tourism and a passion for showing others the beauty and truth of his home country, Phong was always patient, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. The local guides that FTLO employs for its trips really make the experience. This won't be my last trip to Vietnam or my last trip with FTLO!

I just got back from my 2nd FTLO trip, this time to South Africa — and it was hands down one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. From starting out in Cape Town (so much good wine!) to shark cage diving to penguins to surfing to ending with safari (top life experience. Truly. Nothing will ever top seeing the Big 5 in one day) to making truly lifelong friendships, this trip was truly one for the books. Our entire tour was absolutely incredible, and that was in big part thanks to our tour guide Machiel. He has so much love for his cuntry and was so fun, relaxed, and friendly — he truly made the trip! If you have been wondering whether you should take an FTLO trip, YES. You should. Specifically this one. (And when you're at Shindzela, ask for Ruben. 😂)

Most of the activities were planned out (major plus) and the group was wonderful (new friends!). I would 100% recommend traveling with FTLO if you're looking to try something new (especially if you're a sole traveler) and want to experience locations you may not feel comfortable traveling alone! Trip 2: I greatly enjoyed my second FTLO trip to Tuscany and Rome led by Isaiah. She facilitated the trip well and provided activities and food recommendations for the free time. My favorite part was San Gimignano with the cooking class on a farm with amazing views as well as the world's best gelato. The trip is a combination of historical city and picturesque country. I am already looking into my third FTLO trip. Trip 1: I just returned from the trip to Scandinavia led by Monica. It was a great experience, particularly as my first time outside of North America and the Caribbean. Monica was extremely friendly and responsive to the needs of the group and its individuals. She tailored the experience to each of our personalities. I enjoyed some action-packed days (biking, boating, and Tivoli) and some calmer ones. I met new, friendly, young professionals along the way. I highly recommend this trip to someone going abroad without friends or family for the first time (and beyond).

I just got back from my first FTLO trip to Costa Rica and I had an awesome time! I had never done any type of group travel before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but after the first day I knew we had a great group. A major reason why our group got along so well and what made the trip so enjoyable was our trip leader Mandy. Mandy is everything you would want in a trip leader. Her fun and spunky attitude kept the good vibes flowing throughout the trip and she had great recommendations for various restaurants/bars and other things to do in the area. It’s a lot of work to schedule all of the activities, restaurant reservations, etc. and it was so nice to just be able to show up and enjoy whatever we had planned. Mandy and the FTLO crew did a great job finding a balance between structured activities and allowing for free time so people could choose to spend some of their trip how they wish. Our group is already talking about what our next FTLO trip will be and we will specifically be requesting Mandy to be our international sherpa to guide us along the way!

We took the NYE (2023) trip to Vietnam with FTLO, Hanoi to Hoi An. Our Guide (Phong) was fantastic his knowledge of his country and eagerness to share it with travelers was infectious. Our group was eager to learn about the country and its history and asked many questions, to which Phong was willing to spend time and share his knowledge with us. The hotels we stayed in were perfectly located in the cities we traveled, giving us a good balance for being in the action of the city and having a place for reprieve. A highlight of the trip was a night scooter trip/ happy hour experience around Hanoi, a majority of travel is done via motorbike in Vietnam, this gave us a behind the handlebar view of the city at night affording many unique photo opportunities and to meet, ride and speak to our local drivers for the night. I couldn't recommend the trip more to anyone that wants to experience Northern and Central Vietnam. Not only was the trip terrific but our guide, Phong made it memorable for everyone "Sticky Rice!". Won't be forgetting the trip and the people we met on the trip any time soon. Thanks FTLO, Phong and my group.

This trip (Colombia) beat all my expectations. It was the perfect amount of activities, dinners with the group and some time at your leisure. All of the itinerary felt incredibly thought through, so logistically it ran so smoothly. FTLO used local guides each time which made the trip feel expertly informative. I did my first FTLO trip doing the Mexico City Food Tour and I will say it was wonderful. Nicolas Garcia (our guide) demonstrated a passion and education regarding food and not only providing a guide trip as a guide, but became a part of our group of friends. A shout out to Tonalli for leading the first food tour on the first night and I learned so much about cantinas and tried a new taco for the first time. And the Mezcal tasting with Chef Wenceslao was very educational. The cooking class with Lorena was amazing and her personality just shone! I look forward to using some of the recipes that she gave us at home. The visit to the Xochimilco was awesome to see some of the history of food. Doing this trip was a step out of my comfort zone, but it was so worth it. The whole process from beginning to end was amazing.

I went to Costa Rica with FTLO. It was incredible. Prior to this trip, I had never traveled out of the US. I was hesitant to do so by myself (even though I travel by myself in the states all the time) because I wanted to make sure I was safe, had good experiences, had help if I needed it, and had people to spend time with. FTLO provided all of that and way more. I seriously could not have asked for a better time. I enjoyed all the people in my group; It felt like I was hanging out with casual friends. The food recommendations were incredible. The activities were everything I wanted to do (ranging from outdoors/active things, foodie experiences, and cultural experiences, plus more!). There was ample free time for me to do what felt good for me and there was no pressure to participate in anything. Just having everything planned for me and taken care of took away a ton of anxiety which made it possible for me to truly enjoy everything. I will definitely book again!

I took my third trip with FTLO Travel in mid-February to Lapland, and like my last two, it was incredible. With the Lapland trip you get to explore three different countries (Finland, Norway, and Sweden) and do a TON of really amazing activities (dog-sledding, snowmobiling, snow-shoeing) -- it truly is a winter wonderland. We were even lucky enough to watch the northern lights from a hot tub -- two nights in a row! All of the accommodations were nice and the food was so good! Makayla was an awesome guide, she knew all the best places to go for our outside meals, and helped us set up (and negotiated a discount/getting us certificates to say we crossed the arctic circle) an activity for our day off. The bus broke down at one point, but because of Makayla's quick thinking and good attitude, it ended up being one of the best memories from the trip! If you're thinking about going to Lapland, do it. And make sure to add on the sauna boat cruise...it's unbelievable.

I went to Vietnam with FTLO in March 2023 and it was the best trip I’ve ever taken. The itinerary was a nice mix of cultural and outdoors activities (walking tours, a cooking class, hiking, kayaking to a private beach, vespa food crawl, etc.). Everything was optional but almost everyone participated in all the activities. None of the outdoors activities were too strenuous (in fact, seeing monkeys and kayaking in Ha Long Bay were a few of my favorite activities despite my usual preference for cities…Ha Long Bay was just so beautiful and the private beach was quite special!). Our tour guide, Nam Phong, was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Vietnam and always provided great recommendations for dining/ activities/shopping. He also organized additional meals/outings during free time, so you never had to be alone unless you wanted to. I trusted his advice about what was worth doing. He was also very helpful in making sure that people with dietary restrictions, like me, were taken care of. I had no idea what to expect because I had never met anyone who did an FTLO trip before, but everyone was nice, friendly, intellectually curious, and mature. The people were from all over the US (except for one Canadian and one expat). In a group of 14, there was only one other first-time FTLO-er which is a significant endorsement for the company. I only wish I had discovered FTLO sooner because I will be aging out in a few years and there are multiple trips I want to do.

Went on the inaugural Iceland trip with Sean as the trip leader. Overall, it was a great time with a good balance and pace to all the items on the itinerary. Sean was very knowledgeable and professional as trip leader but also took the time to interact and get to know people on a personal level; good times were had. The activities and events on the itinerary were all planned out well and they really provided a good sense and feel of Iceland in a relatively short period of time. Overall, the trip was a great way to be introduced to Iceland and it exceeded my expectations.

Just got home from the Feb 18-26 Vietnam trip. The trip exceeded all of my expectations - largely because of our group leader Phong! He made sure the tour operated like clockwork and all of our activities went according to plan and on time. Every single one of us agreed that when we book our next Ftlo trip, we’d try to book whichever one Mandy is working. She was quick to respond to any issues, accommodating of everyone, she took pictures of us (which i love, especially for solo travel you need a photographer!), was thorough and kept us updated through our group chat, i could go on and on but I’ll wrap it up. VIETNAM-- I was worried that my second FTLO trip would not capture the same magic I had with my first one (sophomore season slump worries); but the Vietnam trip definitely only raised the bar on my expectations on group travel and FTLO trips! The group was fantastic, Jordana (trip leader) was so nice and sweet and accommodating, and Vietnam was just beautiful. Even when things didn't quite go according to plan, Jordana was always on it to fix it and our group would laugh our way through the moments (rainy bike rides and all) ... as long as we kept being fed. My only wish was to know more of the possibility of rain and colder weather for this timing of the trip as I did not pack accordingly. MOROCCO-- My first FTLO trip was incredible! As someone who is used to solo travel and doing all the planning and research on her own, it was so nice to sit back and just enjoy the trip, experiences, and make new friends. It's good to note, as I knew what I was getting into, is that the Morocco trip is very go, go, go, with not a lot of downtime (except on a bus), but on the flip-side, it was fantastic to get to do most of the country in a week and I feel like I got to do so much in such a short time frame. This trip would have been what it was without our amazing guide, Sara. She is the reason why I felt able to sit back and just get to enjoy the trip rather than stress about details. She was available, communicative, had great recommendations, thoughtful, and really made sure that everyone was having a good time and had what they needed. This may have been my first FTLO trip, but it certainly won't be my last :)

Had an amazing time on their Nice/Barcelona trip. The guides they enlist (including our trip leader, Seth) were all exceptionally well-versed in where to go, what to do, and how best to navigate the several cities we experienced during the week-long adventure. I don't get a lot of time to travel, so I reviewed about 15 companies like this before choosing this one. The biggest plus for me was not having to think about the itinerary at all (where to go/what to do/what time/etc. was all perfectly curated and we just had to show up.) The logistics can make or break a great trip, and the FTLO team did an awesome job of planning this excursion. Every daytrip/meal/fun event was better than the last. Some highlights included: lunch at a hidden beach in San Tropez served to us right at our beach chairs, learning how to make seafood paella at a private cooking class in Barcelona, experiencing a French version of a 90s-music-infused dive bar while in Nice, a wine tasting at a mountaintop vineyard followed by more wine at the vineyard owner's wine bar in Nice, dinner at a restaurant built atop a once public diving board (water on all sides, like something from a James Bond movie), the 18-dish tapas tour in Barcelona (incredible), and drinking champagne on a private catamaran trip. Just as enjoyable were the very different, yet very awesome individuals who also took the trip and who all made the experience truly memorable. Definitely recommend this particular trip (can't speak to the others) and would certainly consider another trip with FTLO.

This was my second FTLO trip and I loved it even more than the first. I went to Vietnam with Jordana, who was an absolutely fantastic guide, full of energy and enthusiasm and knowledge. She went out of her way to make the trip special for us (helping us get beer top souvenirs from the train market in Hanoi for example) and was extremely kind and caring about all of us. I felt very taken care of but she also had a terrific sense of fun that led to our group bonding at Ninh binh karaoke and playing games on the boat on ha long bay. I just got back from FTLO’s February Costa Rica trip, and the whole experience was incredible. I had planned to travel with a friend, but she had to cancel at the last minute so this was truly as “solo travel” experience for me. While I have traveled in the states alone for work and vacation this was my first time traveling internationally on my own. I immediately connected with my group upon arrival to Guanacaste Airport and while FTLO arranged a shuttle for us, we decided to get an earlier transport to our hotel. This was a great decision, because we had time to explore the pools and were able to get drinks at the swim up bar before meeting the rest of our group and our guide Laura for dinner. Laura was an awesome guide, making sure we knew exactly what to expect every day and also helped us make arrangements for optional outings as well. The best part of the trip for me was zip lining and hot springs at Rincon de la Vieja, but I also loved trying all the fabulous food in town, surfing for the first time, and having beach access right from the resort. Tamarindo is one of the best beach towns I have ever been to, and I cannot wait to go back. I also can’t wait to take more trips with my new FTLO fam! I would encourage anyone who has been itching to travel to try FTLO. You won’t be disappointed!

Makayla went above and beyond in making sure every one of us had an unforgettable experience. Two of the girls on our trips were celebrating their birthdays while we were in Greece and Makayla orchestrated multiple birthday surprises for them! I travelled with FTLO to Lapland and it was the trip of a lifetime. A truly unique, well-planned itinerary going through beautiful parts of northern Finland, Sweden, and Norway. The trip was incredibly well organized, thanks in large part to our amazing trip leader Jordana! For each meal there was a plan in place, making the need for extensive individual planning unnecessary. Not only that but all of the spots picked for meals and activities were outstanding. Doing Lapland on our own without a group would likely be quite difficult given the wide arrange of activities and the need to coordinate with travel groups, FTLO takes care of all of it. Our group size was 16 and I felt it was very tight-knit. Everyone was extremely kind and I felt that the tour leader helped curate a really friendly environment among all the travelers. It is definitely worth reiterating how fantastic Jordana was. She genuinely cared about everyone and did everything she could to make sure we had an amazing time. She absolutely helped make it an unforgettable experience.

Highlights of the trip were… Catamaran ride around the island of Milos, sunset cruise in Santorini, and the amazing food and delicious sweets. I just got back from South Africa and have only good things to say about the tour, country, and the tour guide. Machiel was a wonderful guide, full of in-depth knowledge about his country. He made sure we had a good mix of activity and downtime. The accommodations were great and each one had their own unique touches. I loved the safari portion and Capetown equally. Overall, the trip was really good value for the money. While the entire trip was great, the communication from FTLO prior to the trip was a bit disappointing. I wish there had been greater attention to email responses pre-trip.

I just wrapped up my time on FTLO's Colombia trip and all I can say was that it was amazing! This was my first time in Colombia and my first time on the South American continent. As someone who knows only a very small amount of Spanish, it was nice to have a local guide and a great group of people around me. Will, the trip leader, was a great guide and knew so many of the locals, not only in his hometown of Cartagena, but in our second location of Medellin as well. His connections and friendly personality made it possible for us to travel like locals. He taught me a lout about Colombia (both the good and the bad). Such an interesting perspective! The activities themselves were incredible. I had so much fun hanging out in the Caribbean water, relaxing in a mud pit, eating at a Michelin Star restaurant, exploring the colorful town of Guatape, and so much more. This is my second trip with FTLO and only two days after the end of the trip, I am already trying to decide which of their trips to go on next! If you are a young professional looking to travel this is the company for you!

I got back earlier this week from an FTLO trip to Costa Rica. This was my first time booking anything without friends, so I was a bit nervous for the process. FTLO was great at answering any questions before I booked the trip and then once I was there it was an amazing experience! Everything was so well thought out, from the pairing of roommates, the activities, and the timing of it all. We went zip lining, swam in hot springs, had a surf lesson, and even an impromptu salsa lesson which our trip leader Crista put together for us. I had an amazing experience on my Morocco trip with my FTLO. This company planned out a great itinerary that allowed us to tour many different cities and participate in a variety of excursions. The highlights from the trip were definitely the camel ride and sand boarding through the Sahara desert and the traditional Moroccan cooking class. From the minute I landed in Morocco, my trip leader Sara took great care of me. I lost my luggage and Sara took control of the situation so I can enjoy my time in Morocco. Sara even gave me clothes and toiletries and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. Sara provided the group with great recommendations for free time, bars and restaurants and even scheduled our hammam appointments and COVID tests. I can’t express how amazing and thoughtful of a trip leader Sara is. I can’t wait to travel again with FTLO. I love the small group size, well planned out itinerary, and the ease of travel with this company. I’m already looking into book my next trip!

If you're on the fence about trying an FTLO trip, definitely give it a shot. I just returned from the Morocco trip and had a great time. I booked the trip as a spur of the moment decision a few weeks prior to departure. I'd never done a group tour or travelled with FTLO before, but it turned out to be a worthwhile experience. The trip covers a lot of the highlights of Morocco in a short time, which entails a lot of driving, but the drives are usually broken up with stops along the way for sightseeing, meals, etc. Some of the roads can be a little rough, especially in the mountains, so brings your meds if you're prone to motion sickness. That being said, our drivers throughout the trip were great which helps quite a bit. The itinerary is a mix of scheduled activities but also incorporates enough free time along the way to explore destinations on your own as well. My favorite parts of the trip included watching sunrise in the Sahara, having dinner with a local family in Fes, and exploring the craziness of the medina in Marrakech. All of our accommodations (a number of beautiful riads as well as glamping tents in the Sahara) were very comfortable and right on the expectations for the price point of the trip. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hesitant about going on a trip with a bunch of strangers, but I was pleasantly surprised to meet a lovely group of people who I'd be glad to travel with again in the future. Most importantly, our trip leader, Youssef, was phenomenal. He was truly passionate about showing us his country, and he went above and beyond on multiple occasions to make sure all of us had a fun experience in Morocco. He's undoubtedly one the best tours guides I've ever had, and I'd recommend him without reservation. Long story short, if you're looking for a group trip targeted towards young professionals, definitely take a look at FTLO.

I did two trips with ftlo back to back amalfi coast and south of France/Barcelona. Both trips were slightly different but I had a great time with both of them. Nicole was an amazing guide in Italy. She’s very knowledgeable, and would even come out with us at night. Which was helpful because she knew the language and could help us out. Karrel on the south of France trip was also very helpful and is really fun to be around. (Her laugh is crazy infectious). Both leaders did an amazing job at making sure we got to where we needed to go with very low stress. (The low stress travel is the main reason I booked this). I will say the south of France trip has a TON of free time. Which can be good or bad depending on the type of person you are. Would have liked to have more planned group stuff. Ftlo did an amazing job with both trips, there was slight drama near the end on the amalfi trip with a couple of the girls in the group but that didn’t take anything away from the trip or our group overall. I was very lucky that both groups I was in got along so well. I’m definitely already planning my next trip with them. Just have to decide between Tuscany and Croatia!

I recently returned from an FTLO tour to Morocco and it was a blast! This review is for the Ireland & Scotland FTLO trip. It all started with our tour guide Hatim - he was so good that I am making plans to hangout with him which is rare. He is an awesome tour guide but above all a genuine, amazing human being. He made the trip fun and always knew the right spots to recommend. Ireland is so awesome and has amazing character, specially the Irish Pubs - miss those perfect pours of Guinness already. Scotland is so beautiful that you can’t take your eyes off. I just returned from the FTLO Morocco trip and had an incredible time! This is my third trip with FTLO and each one has been amazing. The Morocco trip is really well curated and gives you a great taste of many different Moroccan cities and experiences in one week. Some of the highlights included taking pictures in the Blue City of Chefchaouen, walking tours in Fes, Tangier and Marrakech, taking a camel ride and watching the sun rise in the Sahara, learning how to cook tagine and getting a hammam. We had the opportunity to eat amazing traditional Moroccan food and also stay in beautiful riads in the heart of some of cities’ medinas. The trip would not have been nearly as great without our fantastic trip leader, Sara. Sara is very knowledgeable about Morocco and the cities we visited, so she was able to find really authentic and less touristy experiences for us to participate in. She took care of all the little details, even helping us organize activities we wanted to do during our free time. She was incredibly thoughtful and always looked for ways to make our experience really special. Sara is not only a great guide but also a wonderful person, and her passion for her work is evident in everything she does. Thank you Sara!!

I have traveled with another company in the past that was phenomenal, so I was a little hesitant to try a new company for my upcoming trip to Croatia. However, I could not have been more satisfied with my experience! First of all, before arrival, the information was clear, concise, and all uploaded on an app that was easy to navigate. I had a clear idea of what to pack and what we would be doing. Then, from the moment I arrived, it was as if everything was figured out for me. I did not have to worry or even think about any logistics. The activities were thrilling, the people wonderful, the food incredible, and the accommodations were 5 star. I especially appreciated our tour guide, Hrvoje's expertise. Being Croatian himself and being able to speak the language, he helped us with absolutely whatever we needed (reservations, recommendations, troubleshooting, etc). When I had an idea for a day trip to Montenegro on our free day, he seamlessly made phone calls and made it happen. But overall, the trip was so incredibly special because of the friendships made with Hrvoje and the other trip members. I would highly recommend this company again, and I look forward to future trips with them! <3

I just got back from the Amalfi Coast & Puglia trip and it was incredible! This was my second FTLO trip, and both of my trips were top notch. Every aspect of this trip was curated, from the boutique hotels (including one in an ancient cave!) to the cooking class with a local chef and the private yacht to Capri. Our trip leader, Nicole, was fantastic. She made it her priority to give us the best experience possible, and she dealt with any hiccups quickly and effectively. I cannot recommend FTLO enough. Wow. Just wow. I went out on a limb and booked a trip with FTLO to Barcelona and the South of France. It was my first group travel trip and my first trip to Europe. IT. WAS. INCREDIBLE. I'm actually concerned that I may never have a better week travelling than I just experienced. Our guide Jordana was absolutely phenomenal. As a Barcelona resident, she knew all the right experiences, dinners, bars, and people to make our stay there incredible. And although I chose the trip mostly for Barcelona (I've always wanted to see the Sagrada Familia) Southern France blew me away! Whether it was drinking champagne on the way to gamble at the Monte Carlo casino in Monaco, sailing off the coast of Spain, or just hanging out on the beach with the group, everything was fantastic. All of the activities included with the trip were so unique and would have been challenging to figure out on my own. We went on multiple epic boat trips, a gorgeous organic farm tour, and a great winery. The food was so delicious and the entire experience was flawlessly planned. Our trip leader Hercules was incredible. I can’t say enough good things about this man. He was patient with us, kind, knowledgeable and we could never have had the wonderful experience we had if not for him. He knew how to navigate stressful situations even in places he had never been before. He made us feel like family and I miss him already. One example (of many) where he saved the day was in Milos when they canceled our fast boat to Santorini that day. He pivoted like a pro and got us onto a ferry so our group didn’t get stuck. Having him as a leader was genuinely one of the best parts of our trip and I am a better person and world traveler for having met him.

I enjoyed being throughly immersed in the beauty, culture, and history of Portugal, and was very impressed with FTLO’s itinerary and the balance of activities and free time. My fiancé and I recently went on the Greece trip, and I highly recommend booking if you're considering it. The length is just right, the flow and balance of activities and free time is thoughtful and well-done, the activities themselves are highly curated to ensure everything you do is fun and worth your time, and the people I met were delightful and easy to travel with (note, everyone was a solo traveler except for us two, which created a good dynamic for meeting new people). Melpo, our local guide was very sweet, knowledgeable, fun, organized, and helpful. She taught us some Greek and gave recommendations for our free time. The group size was also just right (in my opinion) as it allowed us to rent out entire activities (e.g., catamaran, wooden ship, transportation) without sharing with strangers. Overall, it's a fun trip!

The scheduled activities were fantastic and everything was very organized and we never met any delays or issues with island hopping. The group of people on this trip were also incredible. Highlight of the trip: our group leader, Melpo! She was so charming, fun, and always with a great attitude. It truly enhanced the experience to have someone there who not only speaks the local language but could give us insight into the culture and traditions of the country as well. The only negative comment I would have about this trip is the accommodations in Milos and Paros were not what I would expect of a trip of this nature, however the accommodations in Santorini were very nice. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this trip and I would recommend it to others.

I've been to Europe a number of times, but it was amazing to have this week where all the best spots were already planned out. The activities were amazing, and Jordana was just incredible. I recently returned from my first FTLO Trip to Croatia, which was also my first ever trip to Europe and can't recommend the company and experience enough. The itinerary was a great mix of excursions, site seeing and relaxing, and I was able to actually sit back and relax without having to worry about planning anything or setting up travel arrangements and the like. As someone who is not well traveled, this was essential to me being able to visit Europe for the first time with any degree of confidence. It was also a great group of people - FTLO is very good about ensuring that the Millenial-age professionals get along and have a great time. Also special shout out to our group leader, Hrvoje, who went above and beyond assisting the three folks in our group who lost their luggage by working behind the scenes with the airline/hotels to get their luggage returned, and for me, who managed to lose my wallet during the course of the trip. He went with me to the police station to translate and get a police report squared away, and waited at the ferry station to pick it up when it was found and returned. The trip would definitely not gone 1/5 as smoothly had he not worked so hard to make it so, and he put together a great itinerary as well. Thanks Hrvoje! 10/10 for FTLO, would definitely do another trip with them and strong recommend for them as a company!

This tour group was the perfect choice for my first trip to Europe. I knew I wanted to travel solo but not feel totally alone. I knew I wanted to do it on my own, but also not sink a ton of hours into planning. FTLO Travel was exactly what I needed and didn’t know existed. UPDATE: I just got back from Morocco, my second FTLO trip, and it was so great! The activities and guide we’re amazing! Sarah, our trip leader, went out of her way multiple times to make it the best trip ever. We rode camels through the Sahara, took a hot air balloon over Marrakech at sunrise, visited a GOT film location. Note that the Morocco trip does require a lot of bus and less free time, however that was totally worth it in exchange for amazing experiences and quality time with my travel mates. Loved Morocco, loved our guide, and loved the experiences! A MUST BOOK TRIP! I’ll be booking a third soon! Original: I had the most amazing trip through Italy with FTLO and will be booking another destination very soon! My group leader, Nicole, was beyond helpful, and above all became a great friend. Took my second FTLO trip to Belize. Akeem was an incredible leader! He definitely elevated a good trip to a great trip. He listened to the group and was able to set up such an amazing beach day for all of us throughout Caye Caulker. All of the pre planned activities were fantastic and did not disappoint - the tour of the ruins, tubing through the caves, snorkeling and the catamaran - and the local guides were fun, knowledgeable, and awesome.

Just back from the FTLO Lapland trip and it was truly spectacular! Literally could not have done it without our amazing trip leader Jordana!! Jordana made the transition in between trip activities seamless and with her it felt like we were traveling as a family. There wasn’t a moment we didn’t spend laughing and smiling with her during our trip! She always went out of her way to make sure everyone was prepared for all activities, gave us a heads up on what we should wear for each city, was super accommodating and even checked in to make sure everyone was feeling well on the trip. In fact, Jordana was so caring, genuine and kind that we all requested for her to be the tour guide on our next FTLO trip! :) The Lapland itinerary was very well thought out in that it pushes you out of your comfort zone to try new things and still gave you plenty of opportunities to learn more about the Scandinavian culture. I just returned from an amazing time in Colombia! First time doing group travel and it couldn’t have been a better experience. FTLO really nailed the whole experience which brought a perfect mix of culture, nature, and relaxation all together. The itinerary was full of amazing opportunities to see and experience Colombia. There was never a dull moment, and we also had a perfect amount of time for some self-exploration in both cities. We were even provided recommendations from sites to see or restaurants to try in the area on our downtime. Everyone on the trip was amazing and crazy how in a short week you become good friends! Last but certainly not least, our tour guide Will was amazing! A very down to earth individual who was very accommodating and certainly showed us a good time! I had arrived late due to delays and Will was very responsive to ensure I arrived safely. He answered any questions I had and loved that he was local to Cartagena – made the experience even more personable to know I was being guided by someone who calls Cartagena his home! Overall, a great experience and would definitely do it all over again!

My trip to Lapland was a last minute, fortuitous pivot! My husband ended up cancelling our trip to Asia, and I was NOT willing to give back my PTO. With FTLOT on my radar as I follow them on IG, I saw the Lapland dates worked for me but was waitlisted. Enter: destiny. Not only did I get in, I had the trip of a lifetime! Every day was an adventure and a bucket list dream! Hotels, food and experiences are all important to me when I travel - and don’t you worry, FTLOT has you covered! Had a great Costa Rica trip with FTLO! Hotel was beautiful and right on the beach, group was small but fun and the activities (ziplining, hot springs, surf lessons, brewery tasting) were a great time but there was also plenty of relaxation time. The food for all the provided meals was excellent and we were pointed to some great options for meals that weren't included. The trip guide, Danny, was so much fun and really made the trip amazing! He was very on the ball getting things arranged and was a great storyteller of Costa Rican history and provided the local perspective and most importantly was a blast to hang out with and always knew how to find fun things to do in the unscheduled time that made for some of the most memorable parts of the trip!

I went to Costa Rica with FTLO and the trip was amazing! The accommodations were beautiful and right on the beach, truly the best location. All of the included activities were so fun, but still had plenty of free time to hang out or explore on our own. Our tour manager Danny made the trip though, he was so knowledgeable and fun. I waited too long to book a transfer to another part of Costa Rica after the end of the FTLO trip and he made a couple calls and got me a transfer scheduled in a few minutes. He kept in touch with us after too in case we needed anything after we left the group while we were still in Costa Rica which was super helpful and nice.

I joined FTLO’s Croatia trip (August 2021) and it was the best group travel experience I’ve ever had! We couldn’t have asked for a better crew leader. Seth is very kind, was very responsive to all of our questions and attentive to all of our needs. The trip was the right balance of scheduled activities and free time. Island hopping from Hvar was the best. The rafting and kayaking excursions were particularly an amazing experience! The hotel was in an excellent location in Dubrovnik and right on the beach. I also had the best group of solo travelers that joined the tour. Everyone got along very well and we all had a blast on our vacation! I will definitely be booking another FTLO trip in the future. It is the perfect option for solo travelers who want to let someone else plan their vacation and meet other likeminded people!

Just came back from my FTLO Greece trip and mentally, I'm still sipping wine on a catamaran in those clear turquoise waters. It's amazing how much thought and care they put into each trip. Our trip leader, Makayla, was the absolute BEST! She was always just a text or call away and so funny, patient, kind, knowledgeable, and just such a blast! Our group was always treated and welcomed so warmly everywhere we went which just goes to show how amazing FTLO is to the community itself. The activities, accommodations, and meals were beyond amazing as well. Family lunches and dinners were my favorite! IF you're not a foodie, 100% FTLO will convert you into one. I honestly had the best time in Jordan with FTLO Travel. The trip was so well planned out and we stayed in such nice places. The guides (the Mahmouds and Makayla) were super knowledgeable and you could tell they really wanted us to have a good time. I was fortunate to go on the first FTLO Jordan trip. My top goal was to see Petra — one of the Wonders of The World. I am amazed to say that our day canyoning at Wadi Mujib and floating in the Dead Sea at sunset may be equally spectacular as Petra. I recently went on the Colombia trip and it was absolutely amazing in every way! I've done a lot of solo travel over the past few months and this trip was the perfect way to meet new people along the way. And our group was incredible, making the trip that much better! In a short 8 days we made friendships that will surely last a lifetime. The trip itself was perfectly planned. We spent 4 says in Cartagena and 4 days in Medellin. The two hotels we stayed at were both amazing boutique locations, each with a rooftop pool and a great restaurant to go along. Every day we had a new exciting activity planned for us, from a full day lounging on a boat in the beautiful blue/green waters of the Caribbean, to touring the culture rich Comuna 13 in Medellin. We even got to take a dip in the soothing mud of a mini volcano! What brought every thing together to make the trip truly unforgettable was our amazing trip leader, Will Dau. Will was so organized and professional yet a ton of fun at the same time. He was always making sure the trip was going smoothly and also fit in perfectly to our little Colombia family. I can confidently say that there is no way this trip would have been nearly as awesome without Will!

I've taken four FTLO trips over the years and they always strike the right balance of planned activities and free time. I also appreciate how the activities are truly unique to each city or region--not standard bus tours. For instance, in Basque Country, we took pelota lessons, learned how to cook a traditional Basque feast, went on wine tours in Rioja, and dined at three Michelin star restaurants. Also worth noting that the travelers tend to skew more professional and mature for those concerned about "the vibe."
