Fantastic trip from start to finish! Rye was an excellent pilot and guide. He was so informative about what we saw from both the air and land. We were able to see plenty of bears and even had one pass our group about 15 feet away. The trip was worth every penny. Helly, who works at Regal air, helped prep the plane and came with our group. She was a wealth of knowledge to. Highly recommend Regal Air and couldn’t have asked for a better tour!

Wonderful! We booked a bear viewing tour in Lake Clark early in the season. We had another couple on the tour with us. Nick was our pilot and he was awesome! We saw grizzlies from a safe distance eating clams by the beach. Highly recommend this tour!

Probably the best thing we did on our recent, first time trip to Alaska was book a flight around Denali. The plane was well maintained. The pilot was experienced and gave us a great tour. Felt safe the entire flight and saw things that you just wouldn't ever see from the ground. Highly, highly recommend.

What a top notch outfit! Our February real estate viewing trip could not have been better. Although the weather didn't cooperate with our flight plans for Feb 24th, we were able to get out the following day. I appreciated their top priority being safety for their passengers. With a variety of quality planes to fit most needs, outstanding service and excellent and timely communication, you won't find any better air service out of Lake Hood. They are my preferred carrier of choice to get me into my new remote Alaska property!

My wife and I had an amazing trip on one of the first coastal brown bear viewing flights to Lake Clark of the summer. The flight from ANC to Lake Clark was scenic and smooth. The crew worked hard to find a suitable location with bears nearby. We landed on the beach and took a short walk on the flats to see two coastal brown bears. After another short flight, we had a nice, cold lunch with bald eagles soaring above. The flight back to ANC was also smooth and enjoyable. Next time I want to sightsee Alaska from above, I'll return to Regal Air. Note: The photos will never do justice for the beauty of the scene. Although my iPhone and binoculars did well, you may want your DSLR.

Brett is a very good pilot. He got us there safely and changed altitude to smooth out the flight. He quickly found 3 Brown Bears and as we watched 5 more bears showed up. We relocated and had a real good lunch. It was a lunch meat sandwich, chips, potato salad, and a candy bar. Might not have been a gourmet meal but it was perfect for our setting. Our flight back was uneventful but he again did a good job keeping the flight smooth by changing his altitude. It is obvious he loves what he does and takes it very serious. He was professional but had the ability to laugh and joke when appropriate. My wife's only complaint is he wouldn't let her pet a bear. LOL. I would highly recommend Regal Air Bear watching tour and ask for Brett to be your pilot and you would not be disappointed.

There was a mix up with scheduling (on their part) so we had to make a decision between another excursion we had booked or this excursion. Ultimately we decided that seeing Denali up close was more important to us than the other excursion but it was too late to cancel and get a refund so we ended up losing money. Other than the mix up, the trip was great. Tony, our pilot, was super nice and knowledgeable of the area. The views were phenomenal! Along the way I had asked Tony if he had ever heard of the Dr. Seuss Tower which, of course, he has and offered to make a detour so I can see it. Adding the extra “stop” into our plan changed his whole itinerary around but he didn’t even think twice about it. I wanted to give them 4 stars for the booking mess but the fact that he went out of his way to make sure I saw something on my list made up for it. Human kindness will always mean more to me than human mistakes.

I was supposed to take the Denali tour but the people at Regal Air contacted me the day of and told me that on that day cloud cover was too low and I wouldn't be able to see anything. With as much money as I spent on the tickets I really appreciated the this. They gave me another option (Prince William Sound) or I could have choosen another day. I decided to take the Prince William Sound flight and it was worth every penny.

Absolutely outstanding!! From Tony rearranging our flight date due to poor weather to the pickup at our hotel to the amazing flight to Denali this was one of the best trips my wife and I have ever taken. Our pilot, Ry (sorry for the spelling), was phenomenal. I can't speak highly enough about these folks! Tremendous.

We took the Denali trip with Nic Peters. Fantastic adventure. If I was going to be in town longer I would absolutely take another flight, probably to go see bears. We flew around Denali and landed in a nearby lake. Sit in the front seat if it's an option!

Awesome!! One of the best things to do in Alaska. Our flight home was delayed several hours. We called up and was booked over the phone. 3 hours of the most beautiful Alaskan Mountains and Glaciers ever. Right up close and personal. The crew was "over the top" accommodating to our needs and actually let us pick where we wanted to go. Kind, friendly, informative in answering all our questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND REGAL AIR

My family and I used this service for a bear viewing tour and for transportation on a fishing trip. The pilots double as sightseeing guides and did an incredible job. I would recommend this company for anyone looking for some type of sightseeing excursion based out of Anchorage!

By far the best experience I had in Anchorage on a limited schedule. Kip was our pilot and he was super nice, as well as safe. It was my first flight in a small plane, much less a float plane. When he wasn't satisfied with conditions, Kip actually aborted and returned to drop fuel to reduce weight. Once intl the air, it was incredible. Be sure to take a flight that lands in a glacial lake. Awesome experience.

Regal air is based in Anchorage and does various helicopter tours. We opted for the bear tour and were not disappointed. Fantastic scenery overflying the glacier, an abundance of bears including two mums with cubs and beluga whales. There was even a stop on the beach to enjoy lunch. Thank you Bob for a great day.

Had a fantastic time with a package tour from Regal Air including R/T transportation, guided fishing at Yentna river lodge for an entire day ~4 hours in the morning, included lunch, ~4 hours in the afternoon before returning back to Lake Hood in Anchorage. Complete beginners to fishing but we were able to catch quite a few King Salmons by floating downstream from the river slowly with the fishing lines hanging out the side of the boat. Once we got the fish hooked on, it was still a bit of a learning curve to get the fish to come up to the side of the boat without losing it. We broke quite a few hooks and lines that got tangled and didn’t have much success in the morning. But in the afternoon, our luck turned around dramatically catching a fish every 20-30 minutes for hours. Our guide also took us up the stream to try our hand at rainbow trout fishing which wasn’t too difficult when we were up at a spot full of fish. Didn’t stay overnight but seemed to have decent facilities to spend some a couple days without issue.

Flew with Regal Air recently with my wife to be dropped off at Lake Creek Lodge. The whole experience was seamless and they let you sit up front if you want. Had an excellent time and would highly recommend. One of the best flights I have ever been on.

We took a day trip excursion to Brooks Falls. Although it was cloudy and we couldn't see much along the way, we saw many bears at the falls. Our pilot, Steve was great; the flights to and from Anchorage were smooth. The box lunches provided included a sandwich, fruit, ganola bar, chips, and water which was substantial. The only downside was waiting 1.5hrs to get on the falls platform to see the bears since there was a waitlist and delaying our time for lunch. We didn't get to eat until 4:30pm (not the company's fault). I highly suggest eating a large breakfast and bringing snacks along the way. Also bring a mask, they mandate it while inside the lodge.

We flew out with Regal to moose hunt and the flight was pushed back due to weather for multiple hours. Tony kept us updated through out the process of flight conditions and the staff made sure we were comfortable. The weather lifted and Rye flew us back in to our camp and we couldn’t be more happy with him. He answered all our questions and gave us some breathtaking views. Highly recommend Regal Air.

Oh boy that was fun, we just went on a tour, there was a group of 12 of us (2 planes) our pilots went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We flew next to glaciers and mountains. The pilots were very knowledgeable and friendly. 100% 5 star performance. Nick Peters was my pilot and he told us stories of his flying adventures which was very interesting. Definitely recommended

Could not recommend a business more than Regal Air. From the first communication with Tony weeks ago and through the last moment when he ran out to shake my hand before we headed home, Tony was the epitome of a warm, kind, cool guy. Over the course of two days, Regal Air and our wonderful guide/pilot, Kip, took my wife and I out to Prince William Sound and Blackstone Glacier for our elopement and then the next day out to Lake Clark for their bear tour. Kip and Tony just killed it the whole time. I can't fit into words how great our experience was and I would say you are making a wise choice, if you stop reading reviews and just book your tour with Regal right now.

This is an incredible company with top notch pilots. We went on the bear tour down to Lake Clark. Our pilot was Nick Peters who was extremely professional, funny, courteous, and made everyone feel comfortable. His stories are the best and he is an amazing pilot. This is a top notch company and I would highly recommend them for their bear tours.

Staff was professional and friendly. We booked the Denali flight tour. I'm still in awe from the breathtaking views. Did an early season bear viewing tour in Lake Clark and it was wonderful! Nick and Ryan were fantastic pilots and guides. Saw about 8 Grizzlies and 6 Bald Eagles. Money well spent. Don't hesitate to book your next dream Alaskan tour with this company. If we ever come back again, we will do their Katmai Tour.

Brooks Falls to walk amongst 1000 lb brown bears. AWESOME! Pilot Eric was great tour guide on the flight. They went WAY out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. You can't go wrong with these guys. Looking forward to our next trip.

I was trying to schedule a tour with them but the days I was going to be in the area and they days they had available just didn't line up. Erin was very helpful and tried her best to accommodate us but when it became clear that we wouldn't be able to book with them, she recommended other places with high praise. This is how you get return business! If I'm in the area again, I will be sure and use Regal Air next time.

Words can't express the magical experience this tour was. Our guide Nick Martin was incredibly knowledgeable, and pointed out points of interest the entire flight. Once we reached out destination, we experienced Brown Bears in their natural habitat. Completely safe, and out of harms way. I couldn't believe how close we were. This is a privately owned business, and incredibly affordable. Thanks guys!

This was my MOST memorable experience from our Alaska trip. Our pilot, Bruce, was so incredibly knowledgeable and personable. The flight was SO smooth and comfortable. He even extended our flight time by a little bit so we could fly over the Iditarod racers and land near a checkpoint. Regal Air is a must if you’re looking for an amazing flight through Denali

What a day! The perfect ending to a great trip to Alaska...Did the flight out to Lake Clark for bear watching. Not sure what else anyone could ask for, the entire staff could not have been more accommodating. Our pilot, Joel...was polite, personable, and professional and not only performed his pilot duties exceptionally well, but was a great host for the entire day. Saw PLENTY of bear and had a slamming good bag lunch provided on the beach, as well as two memorable and smooth beach landings and take offs! Without a doubt one of the highlights of a great trip.

Our pilot was Deon and he flew us to Brooks Falls at Katmai. First of all, it was over the most spectacular scenery on earth both going and coming back. This is not hyperbole; I have flown many rimes in small aircraft and it was a pleasure to fly with one of the most competent and extremely "aware" pilot with the many that I have flown with. My wife and I are in our eighties and this was to be a sort of "last hurrah" to witness the bears and salmon at Brooks Falls and the experience did not disappoint. Thank you, Regal Air, you provided a great and wonderful memory.

We took two planes back from the Winterlake Lodge and both pilots, Billy and Scotti, were very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and helped us spot wildlife along the flight. They were both great pilots and when we landed, it was so smooth that we didn't even realize we had landed.

Book it now! Stop reading other reviews. Bob the pilot took us on a bear journey that was seriously the most incredible thing I have ever done. The flight in was amazing. We got lucky and flew on a very clear day. My only complaint is that we are getting ready to go on a cruise and I think it will pale in comparison to our day with Bob.

Regal Air offered an awesome flight seeing experience. We did the Triumvarant Glacier and Mt. Spurr Volcano tour. Myla at the desk was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the routes. The winds were pretty gusty and the water was choppy at the sea port, but our pilot, Joel, handled it like a pro. The scenery and views of the mountains and the glacier are absolutely spectacular! The only negative is out of Regal's control, and that was all of the mosquitoes at Buluga Lake. Definitely recommend Joel, Myla, and Regal.

Trailside Discovery

We are Trailside Discovery Camp; Alaska's largest Environmental Education children's camp. We had last minute travel trouble, when one of our new day camps were not able to explore Fire Island. Regal Air was sympathetic to our situation and was extremely proactive with a solution. Even with such short notice (two days) Regal Air was able to accommodate EVERY student! Regal Air went even farther and gave us a group rate to fit our budget. We have found that Regal Air is both extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and from now on our first choice for all air travel. They posted in Craigslist that they have 3 free 55 gl drums. They were on point it was busy but took care of me right away. Thete office was set up nice and lots of room and it was clean and tidy as customers waited for there trip. Very professional. Peace
