I strongly recommend this shop. The owners are fantastic and have created a beautiful atmosphere. When you walk in, you immediately feel the lax, classy environment and the walk-in humidor seems to have an endless selection. Inside the humidor feels spiffy and lush. This is easily the best cigar shop I’ve ever visited and I felt like I was family when I learned about their selection.

I didn't sit down and smoke, but I went in to see what they had before heading over to Tower Grove Park. I have been to every cigar bar in St Louis and surrounding areas and The Hill Cigar Co has one of the widest selections in St Louis. I was like a kid in a candy store. The Attendent was helpful and very knowledgeable about the inventory.

I haven't been to every cigar shop in Saint Louis yet but this one is on my list when I need something, the location is convenient for me, parking hasn't been a problem, the lounge is well appointed and I plan to take an evening to smoke a cigar there soon. I'm still fairly new into the cigar world and this shop was my first step into the plunge. Not only do they have a fantastic selection, but the staff is very knowledgeable, easy going, and incredibly helpful. They've been very patient with me getting the terms right and helping me choose what I might like. If you're a seasoned cigar smoker around the area, this is your place to go to. If you're new or looking to get into cigars, this is your place to go to. I've been back a few times already and I got a humidor just so I could come back and fill said humidor. If I was closer I'd be here more often. Can't recommend this place enough.

He has an amazing selection of cigars, a friendly staff that knows their stuff and hosts lots of different events for his customers. My wife and I were visiting St. Louis for the solar eclipse and got to the shop about 20 min. before they closed. The woman working the store was kind enough to let us hang out and smoke on the shop's front porch after she closed, and believe me, we needed some rest after running around the city all day. This is an AWESOME shop with ample seating and a great selection of cigars. Their prices are amazingly good, too. Stop by!

The environment was comfortable, and relaxing. As a novice cigar smoker, too often shops feel intimidating and pretentious for the non-regular. The opposite was true of this place. Came to town and was told to meet up with a friend at this location to catch up and watch the NFL playoff games. I walked in and was greeted by a lady that eventually would be a person I saw several times that night, as she kept ensuring I was fine and if I needed anything and held a conversation with me about where I live currently. The people in the back room all seemed to be very polite, friendly, and one lady who was in the back smoking her cigar even purchased 2 XL Imo’s pizzas for everyone. Lots of laughter and lots of “try some of this bottle I brought, it’s smooth and you’ll like it” or “hey such in such, let him try some of that”. If I lived in St. Louis again this place would be a regular spot for me as the networking and endless conversations about “best city to visit, when you go to this city try this food, and etc” are all gems.

The Hill is, to me, the benchmark by which all other cigar lounges are to be judged. They have a fantastic and diverse selection, ridiculously friendly and knowledgeable staff, a comfortable and inviting lounge, warm and welcoming clientele, and even free iced tea for those using the lounge. As a first time pipe smoker, I had some difficulty finding a place I felt comfortable purchasing a pipe at. Most advertised tobacco stores are just glorified headshops, but not this one. The second I walked into the store, I was welcomed by the rich aroma's of four lit cigars. An older man behind the front counter warmly greeted me and very patiently explained the ins and outs of smoking a tobacco pipe and the different flavors of tobacco I could purchase. After making my purchase he then educated me on the technical aspect of loading a pipe, some of the problems that could arise, and how to go about dealing with them. We finished with an enlightening discussion touching on the history of pipes, and the culture surrounding them. Overall I was extremely impressed with the shop. This man knew his stuff, and he knew how to present you with information in a very friendly and professional matter. The Hill Cigar Co. deserves nothing less than an excellent review all the way around. Definitely a must-see if you are in the St. Louis area.

Friendly and helpful staff, really cool place! The back room has lazy boys and tv's, I don't know what else but I think you need a membership. The front has a cool spot to chill and light up. I went in to get some for my groomsmen. I've had a few cigars but not to an extent I'd need a cigar establishment. There was a businessman from another company promoting his cigars so I got a good deal. They threw in some cedar sticks, matches and some cutters. I learned allot in a short time. If I didn't live 30 minutes away, they sold specialty liquors and had horderves. I'd be in the back annoying everyone about video games, every day.
