Friendly place with well-stocked humidors. Great place to watch sporting events on HUGE screen. Great staff too. On most recent visit the place was FULL of very friendly patrons all getting along well.

This is a great spot to grab a smoke. Inside the main store are plenty of comfortable leather chairs to relax and strike up conversations with the locals. Their BYOB policy is excellent allowing you to bring your favorite beverage for consumption. The large party room is well ventilated seats a ton of people. It's great on a nice spring or fall evening to watch a game or play cards. Of course there is sidewalk seating to get the full outdoors experience. Not to be remiss, the cigar options are some of the best in STL and a visit here won't break the bank. One of the best of St. Louis.

A true traditional cigar shop this place is truly the cheers of cigar bars filled with locals and a welcome visitors even though they closed at 10 and I was with a party of six from around the country they entertained us till 11:30 now that's a cigar bar and if you have that special bottle of Blanton's that you want the friends to try you can bring it in like a traditional cigar spot they do not have a drinking bar

This is a great cigar bar that suits anywhere from novice to the experienced cigar aficionado. They have a very nice selection and are reasonably priced. They have two main lounges, the main lounge through the entrance that is the much classier of the two, to sit and chat and a second lounge, that is much larger and has an oversized garage feel but has ample seating and a large projection screen for sports and other big events. They offer a few beverage choices from vending machines but outside food and drink are welcomed and there is plenty to chose from in the area.

Great cigar selection and the staff is excellent. The entire store is a smoking lounge with a BYOA policy. I love that idea and the locals were very friendly - mixed crowd for sure. Only negative is that the smoke was so thick you could cut the air with a knife...walked out of there and I smelled like a fresh lit cigar for the rest of the night...they could install a few smoke filters to cut the smoke a little and it would make a world of difference. Overall, great place and highly recommended.

Very nice old school cigar store. Very interesting store layout....You can smoke in the air conditioned area in very comfortable seats or in the "garage" section. Good selection of cigars in their humidor. 4 out of 5 stars. If they served alcoholic beverages it would certainly be 5 of 5. Love the location.

This place is amazing. Very cozy and comfortable in the front with a huge lounge in the back with a huge projection screen. Very nice staff that makes you feel at home. A fantastic place to have a cigar and conversate with other cigar smokers all while watching a game or event on TV. You can also BYOB and have a cocktail.

Absolutely lovely little shop in St. Louis’s most photogenic historic neighborhood. (More on that in a minute.) Selection is excellent, probably the shop’s main draw. They have your standards: Oliva, My Father, LFD; there’s some slightly more advanced stuff: Tatuaje, Illusione, lots of Drew Estate (Liga Privada and others); and then there’s the really boutique stuff that you won’t find at standard-issue cigar shops: La Barba, El Güegüense, Sobremesa, Curivari (a hidden gem, very Cubanesque—certain sticks are dead ringers for Cuban RyJ, for instance). This last category is what sets Gran Crü apart. Prices, by the way, are very fair—this is Missouri, after all! A far cry from my hometown of NYC, that’s for sure. If the weather is decent, grab a cigar and just walk around while you smoke; you’ll see what I mean by “most photogenic neighborhood”. Menard St. is particularly pretty on virtually every block, as are 11th, 12th, and 13th Sts., particularly heading south from Ann or Shenandoah Aves. (These are just some favorites of mine, not an exhaustive list.) They have seating at the shop too of course, but if you like lovely old buildings or historic, leafy urban neighborhoods in general, you’ll wanna check it out if you haven’t before. As if all that weren’t enough, the folks who run the shop are solid guys who will treat you well but will NOT condescend to you or treat you like a dummy; that, in my book, is worth a lot. And it’s a nice place to smoke, too, with a couple of different areas—assuming you choose that over some Soulard house-gawking. Either way, you can’t go far wrong.

Grand Cru cigars the great place to go enjoy the company of the folks hanging out there as well as awesome cigars. It is one of the most friendly cigar lounges I've ever been. The humidor had a good selection.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Willing to help if desired and willing to get out of your way if you don't need help. Specialize in small boutique brands. Not going to find Cohibas, Macanudos, Romeos, etc. I would recommend Leaf by Oscar though. There is a fairly large room that can be reserved for groups or parties. And smoking is allowed. That's not the case at every cigar shop. Really good experience overall. I have been once. Will go back again.

Jimmy and his staff are great. Top notch selection of the finest boutique cigars. Best part is that there is not a hint of mold anywhere, unlike a lot of other shops trying to pass mold off as plume/blume. Don't let other shops trick you into believing their lies.

I love when I can give an excellent rating without question. Gran Cru is by far the coolest Cigar Lounge with the best crew of customers and staff you will find in the area. The selection of cigars is more than ample. During football season, the back warehouse seating with two projection screens is phenomenal. The best part of this lounge is you are not only allowed, but encouraged to bring your own alcoholic refreshments. The true cigar affecinato can buy their own locked humidor box and get a discount off of all boxes. You gotta visit Gran Cru. I hope to see you all there. I will be enjoying any selection of the My Father line with my brother. Enjoy and take care.

I don't smoke a lot of cigars, but when I do I always head over to Grand Cru. These guys are super down to earth and will always give a good recommendation without making you feel like a noob. The selection is always changing and they have you taken care of at just about any price point. Just an FYI, these are more boutique brand cigars which I haven't smoked a bad one yet, but you won't find the big mass produced names here which I'm okay with. Smoke one there in the big leather chairs or just stop by and take them with you. byob.

I moved out of St. Louis 12 months ago, and being able to live in Soulard and go to Gran Cru is by far the thing I miss most about St. Louis. The Cru is phenomenal! A true Soulard gem! I have been going there since it opened. The staff is great. The selection is wonderfully unique and the ambiance is relaxing and fun. However, the absolute best part of this store is the community. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming of everyone! Both my mom and girlfriend even loved this place!
