My husband loves his cigars so upon his first visit to the Big Easy we had to go see them roll their own. Fascinating process. The girl who waited on us was very helpful and knowledgeable. My husband and son loved these cigars. Nice aroma to me as the second hand smoker. Will be ordering from the website now that we're home.

Great value here. Excellent customer service, you can watch cigars being made, and you can light up if so inclined inside the store (aka, factory). Our box with packed with fresh tobacco leaves, which was a nice touch. They did kick us out at 6pm (posted closing time is 6:30pm), but when it's time to go, it's time to go. This is not the Bourbon Street store, which closes later.

I’ve visited the Cigar Factory before as a quick visual, yet I randomly decided to purchase one from here this visit. The gentleman whom assisted me was Phenomenal (if I get his name I will edit and add). He was the definition of an aficionado. Add courteous and engaged to that. The visit was late in the evening and so there were no cigar makers which wasn’t a big deal at all. I did learn that all of the cigars that they sell are their own brand and no others. The humidor was still diverse in its selections. I appreciate the seating areas and chess boards for those into it. Cigar Factory was very clean with reasonable pricing. They sell other products as as well. I purchased the Vieux Carre cigar, which I wasn’t a fan of. It had a strong spicy flavor to it. I’d absolutely try others still. Cigar Factory is worthy of another visit.

Cigars are made right there. You can watch. There is a little cigar museum and aging area as well. There are many types of cigars and many different flavors. Staff are great!

I didn't know what to expect, but if you want to see actual cigar handrollers rolling cigars this is the only place I've witnessed it as a cigar smoker. It was truly great to finally see it live. The store was so NOLA meets Latin American cigar culture. The shop reeked of cigar history. It reminded me of a bar in the interior of Latin America, where one spends the day drinking and smoking cigars. The humidor is small, due to these guys producing their limited selection of cigars. The staff was slightly pushy while bring helpful, but nothing just focusing on a few sticks won't cure. I quickly noticed that few of their sticks were not under $9; most averaged $13 and more-pretty pricey. I had been reminded by a Houston attorney who has taken to rolling his own cigars as a hobby, this was a must visit. I actually enjoyed watching the 3-4 rollers as they went about their craft. But, as far as the cigars, I can report much since I purchased the Tres Hermanos & Social Club. The Tres Hermanos was too mild for me, but the tobbacco wasn't harsh like so many imported cigars, it was like they were clean tobacco. Not for me, but I'm glad I tried a few. They have a 2nd shop of Burboun Street, but that like a foodstand, you only go there if you know what you want and could come in buy it and go-that spot real put on the hard sell, but again, its a business. So, while the more inexpensive smokes weren't for me, maybe I'll try the more costly smokes down the road. Also Cigar Factory ships anywhere.

By far my favorite thing to do in Nola (and I have been coming here for years). Get a cigar here and an Abita from 2 doors down (this is a cigar store, not a bar) and sit at one of the available tables and watch the people walk by. It’s epic. These cigars are fresh and reasonably priced.

Wowzers! In all the research I did on Google, in preparation for our trip to New Orleans, I never even thought of a Cigar Factory. I figured I would have a stogie or two on the cruise ship and overpay for the opportunity to enjoy one or two sticks. We were walking the quarter, and trying to get to Cafe Du Mond. Not surprisingly, the place was packed! So, we kept walking and walking and walking. As we crossed the street, I saw the sign for this shop and I HAD to drop in. We walk in and it was quite a sight to be seen. There were a few guys seated behind the counter, rolling cigars from scratch! I mean, where in the US (other than Florida of course) can you see this happening in person? I was just blown away. Before I even walked into their humidor, I just assumed an operation like this would have to be costly. But, that was not the case at all! I spoke with the Sales guy for a few minutes and he asked me a bunch of really good questions about what kind of sticks I like, what I don't like, etc. It was quite nice actually. He started to show me their sticks and the price was super low, in comparison to Cali prices. I bought a few Coronas for the cruise and decided to try it out before going big and buying a box of 10 or even 25. I picked up a Connecticut wrapper, as well as the Maduro. Once I was on the ship, as luck would have it, The Humidor Cigar lounge was on the same floor as my stateroom! So, I dropped in to discuss the stick with our extremely knowledgeable bartender, and we had a wonderful chat about how cool it was to have a fresh, hand rolled stick from NO! He knows his stuff, and he did the sound test, to listen for crackling. None! He did the smell test, as any cigar aficionado shall do, and he loved it. He then did the press test, and he noticed the stick was superbly fresh, well kept in proper humidity, and we lit the sucker up! Holy smokes (pun intended) was this a fun night! The cigar was absolutely incredible. Wonderful flavors early on, more intense flavors as the cigar burned and even more flavors as I got closer to the end of it. It was exceptional, and for less than $10, I have to rate this stick at the top of my all time list. My bartender, Vladen, was clearly into cigars and he was treating us very well on our trip. After we'd been on the ship for 4 days, I decided to gift him the Maduro, just to make sure the brand gets more people smoking it. On our return trip to NO, I HAD to drop in again. I spoke with James again and we had a wonderful chat about cigars, food, where locals dine, what to do on the next cruise if I want to store some sticks, etc. It was fantastic. I bought 8 Coronas, Connecticut wrapped. That's my preference. I also picked up a few Maduro sticks, since I didn't get to try the last one. And, of course, we had a chat about Cigarillos, which a few of the gals on the ship enjoyed. He turned us on to a pack of those suckers as well. 5 for $10! I got home from our trip yesterday, and I had the first small stick. Sweet, savory goodness and it burned so well. No dragging, no uneven burn, and it was such a wonderful treat while I grilled up a Snake River Farms ribeye. I love this place, and to all the folks working hard to produce some amazing cigars. Thank you! Thanks for all you do, and for providing such an amazing opportunity and wonderful experience.

Cool little place but they don't even let their customers use the bathroom which is a little difficult when you have just lit a cigar in the Cigar Factory but now have to figure a way to get into a neighboring restaurant to use a restroom!

Great cigar store. I took advantage for the sell they had in cigars. You couldn’t beat the prices there. Especially with each cigar hand rolled in house. Stopped in on vacation. Nice selection of cigars hand-rolled onsite. Sampled a Congac Dipped right there watching people walk past. So chill. Nice little stick for a short break from touristing. Looking forward to the rest of the purchase when I get home. Picked up a couple of nice looking vintage sticks and a few Conneticut and Maduro sticks for variety. Helpful staff. The masters wrapping these sticks were amazing to watch.

Great place and my absolute go to for cigars. The pantela vanilla sweet is amazing and the other lines are great too. If you want quality go here the staff is great, great prices and Shawna the owner is easy to talk to and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is amazing the music the smell of fresh leaf and aged cigars just complete everything and everything compliments each other. Im on my second box of 25 and will continue to be a customer even though I am not a fan of the city but will come here to have one and resupply my humidor.

I can buy a cigar anywhere, so opted for hand rolled. Got a lot of help and direction in the humidor. Answered any and all questions. Steered me in the right direction, without "selling me." Super chill place. You can go here and smoke cigars while sipping on drinks from nearby bars (you have to go and get the drinks yourself). The tenders were helpful and knowledgeable. If you like cigars, you should definitely go see this place. They hand roll all their cigars, and you can watch the rollers do it. They use broadleaf tobacco from Nicaragua. Someone is happy to show you the stock in the humidor if you would like. They also ship and they are pretty reasonably priced.

Ryan is the man. Extremely knowledgeable and down to earth. He knows about every single cigar in the shop and is a gentleman and a scholar in helping you select the right one. I bought and smoked my very first cigar ever from this shop. It was very good (i wish i could remember what it was but its been 4 years). The shop itself was amazing as well. My wife and were walking Decatur heading back to our hotel and the aroma of this place caught my attention. I had zero cigar experience before this, but i had to go in. One gentleman greeted us and took us on a tour of the shop and picked out "one of his favs" for me to try as my first cigar. This turned into a lifelong hobby and I will definitely make this a must stop place every time im in NOLA.

The cigars here are rolled on site right in front of you and then laid down to age. They are actually really really good cigars. The fact that they are hand rolled means you should by at least a half dozen because there will be some inconsistencies. Dont let that get you down, though. They really are fantastic cigars.

Unique concept, you walk in and see people rolling cigars. You can buy sample packs and gift packs. They only seel their made in house cigars. The first one was hard to light, but once it caught, it had a good burn.

Took 3 visits to New Orleans before we finally made it to the Cigar Factory. Glad we did! Stopped in and bought an assortment to try, returned the next day for gifts for friends. Fair price, good product, friendly service - what more can you ask for? I'm not an aficionado by any stretch but the maduro I sampled was certainly the best I've ever tried.

Found their Pensacola location, what a great atmosphere, and tried the Social Club Corona Grande Maduro. The cigar smoked perfectly, nice straight edge, and the flavors are a rich earthiness with some cocoa and coffee hints. This is a great cigar....I usually prefer a Toro size and usually do not by a box, but this was a great cigar and on my 2nd trip.... bought a box! Great Job Cigar Factory!!

My husband was there for a couple of hours last night. He really enjoyed himself, he was tired.from all of the walking we had done all day long. I sat with him for a while, and then left. As a woman, they did everything they could to make me comfortable on what is usually considered a man's domain . He came back to the hotel with a box of cigars, which is rare for him to like one particular cigar enough to want a box. He usually buys 5 or 6 of something, and puts them in his humidor. He.days he will be ordering more, s ok they have a new customer. Thanks for the good time, and treating us women with respect.

One of the few legitimate Cigar Factories anywhere in the US these days, there are a half dozen people expertly rolling cigars that you can watch as they work. Grabbed a few cigars (only a few since I don't have a humidor), and enjoyed them immensely. Very smooth, and I've paid more for cigars I liked less.

They sell and age their delicious cigars in the big humidor in the middle of the place. They make them just in front of the humidor; and have tables where you can smoke them and watch them roll them up front. The Latin music completes the atmosphere. If the people watching isn't enough entertainment, grab some cards or a board game from the shelf and have at it. PRO TIP: stop next door on your way in for a drink to go. You wouldn't want to get parched while you enjoy your stogie.

I was in New Orleans a week ago for an anniversary trip, and the Cigar Factory New Orleans was on my list of places I had to go to while in town. My wife and I stayed in a hotel in the french quarter and started walking down Decatur. We popped into Central Grocery to buy some olive salad for my father, and when we walked out I noticed Cigar Factory New Orleans, which surprised me because the Cigar Factory was further down Decatur. Apparently they opened a new location to spread their operation out to reach more people. When we walked in there was one cigar maker at work. We were immediately greeted by a lady who asked if we wanted to sit down and enjoy a cigar. My wife does not smoke, so I told her I was just interesting in buying a few cigars. She escorted me to their walk-in humidor and explained the different types of cigars they had to offer. I chose some of their double wrap cigars (because they resembled one of my favorites, CAO America), as well as one of their Connecticut shade cigars. I then explained to my wife, as we watched the cigar maker at work, how cigars were made. Once we got back home I got a chance to try the cigars. Now, I have been smoking cigars for about two years now. I am by no means an expert on cigars, but I have smoked many different types of cigars and usually keep a wide variety available in my humidor. I would gladly put the cigars I got from Cigar Factory New Orleans right at the same level as most top end cigars I have tried. Once my cigar collection dwindles down a little to where I get more room in my humidor I plan on buying a box of both the double wraps and the Connecticut's. Excellent cigars.

The best cigar experience on the planet. Nestled in historic french quarters I sat all day and enjoy fantastic hand rolled cigars. I even got to know a little about the people who rolled the cigars. They are all master cigar makers with 30 + years rolling. I was able to get a drink next door and settle in to watch people walk by and really relax. As I sat there I could not help but feel like I was no longer in New Orleans or even america, I was in Cuba. That sensation of being in another place is so addictive. This is a place of release more than just a cigar shop. Ask for the owner Al if you want to take a tour of the building and see how things are done, or if you just want a great conversation. Every-time is land in New Orleans this is my first and last stop.

Last night I came in and got one of their full bodied cigars (Numero Tres). It was very good! My wife asked me, "why doesn't it stink, like the other ones you smoke?" High praise indeed! Of course the reason is that I usually smoke lower end cigars and this one was really good. The cigar even held up to a couple of times of me letting it go out and relight it. I smoked it all the way down to the nub and it was good the whole way. It's fun to see the cigars being created and even more fun to smoke one of these beauties.

don't get carried away with the emotions and smells that arise from walking into the shop and watching the hand rollers. The cigars are all made there and have different names shapes and sizes as one would expect of this dedicated cigar factory. But the cigars are cheap: by that I mean that the tobaccos are not aged for any length of they taste more like cigarette tobacco, and to me have a very unappealing flavor. There are many brand name cigars that far and away exceed the quality of the handmade at the cigar factory. Within a few blocks of that area is La Habana Hemingway Smoke shop. Their house made Cigars Originate from Cuban seed growing in Nicaragua. They age there tobacco three to five years and although they don't roll them right on the premises they are all handmade. They range from 5 to $10, but are worth that price and equal to many at the 15 to $20 level. I will not try cigar factory again, They just have hype

If you like cigars, you must come here. They roll them onsite. The staff can be "over helpful" in the humidor; but what do u expect from a tourist town. The cigars are good. I prefer the Tres Hermanos. They are a maduro stonger cigar that ages nicely.

When I come to New Orleans I make it a point to stop at the Cigar Factory. They have their on in house cigars that you can watch them roll right in front of you. Remember to BYOB as they do not have a bar.

I'm not really a connoisseur and the manager chose me 10 cigars ranging from mild to medium strong and they put them in ascending order in the box. He used tobacco leaves to wedge the cigars in the box for transport. I appreciate them very much and my friends too. Maybe not "The Cigar" but they are good and it's a nice souvenir, the prices are right. You can smoke in the store and bring a bottle of rum or whatever, they don't sell alcohol on site. There are board games and newspaper magazines available. (Original) Bel endroit. J'ai acheté un échantillon de 10 cigares. Je ne suis pas vraiment connaisseur et le responsable m'a choisi 10 cigares allant du doux au moyen fort et els a mis dans l'ordre croissant dans la boite. Il a utilisé des feuilles de tabac pour caler les cigares dans la boite pour le transport. JE les apprécie beaucoup et mes amis aussi. Peut-être pas "The Cigar" mais ils sont bons et c'est un beau souvenir, les prix sont corrects. On peut fumer dans le magasin et y amener une bouteille de rhum ou autre, ils ne vendent pas d'alcool sur place. Il y a des jeux de société et des magazines-journaux à disposition.
