I stopped in here to get some cigars for my soon to be husband (of course I know nothing about anything) the man who helped me was very helpful and pointed me in the right direction. He explained the difference between all the ones we picked, and packed them in a nice little box. Atmosphere is so great people are nice and friendly and want to have conversation. I didn’t hang around too long but I can definitely say that I will be back!!

Variety of cigars not usually seen in the brick and mortar shops. I found a Perdomo that I’ve been searching for a while there. Reasonable prices. I took off one star because I wasn’t acknowledged when I walked in or offered assistance. Thankfully I didn’t need any but if someone did, they would’ve been left hanging because everyone was watching TV

I propped my leg up, lit a Padron cigar and just chilled. I'd been going here for the better part of 15 years. It used to be run by J. J is semi retired and has turned it over to another guy. He goes by the name Big Al. Real cool mellow and polite guy. The clientele seemed to have changed from middle age to Sr whiteman to bkackmen of all ages. Still a very nice place in my opinion. The interior has been slightly upgraded and you can still find everything you need, in terms of cigars. I talked to 2 of the owners and they seem to have a lot of plans in the works to improve what us already very great. Stop in regardless of race, mingle, and enjoy. Good fellas here. I don’t come here that often but that’s only because it’s an hour drive. I love coming here, J always has some wisdom to drop on me. He’s a character. Coffee is pretty good too. I rarely smoke cigars but I don’t mind dropping money here just for the experience.

I really like this place. J is a great owner with a hospitality minded approach. This is not some cliche place to have a stick. It's a straight up cigar spot. J believes in getting to know his customers and wants his customers to know each other. Of all the cigar venues I've visited, there is no place in which they know your name other than J's. I just relocated to Atlanta from Kansas a couple of months ago and have been searching for a new Cigar lounge and I have found it. A cigar shop is only as good as the proprietor that runs it and this one is run fantastic! J, made me feel very welcomed as did the regulars that were in there. I truly felt I was back in Kansas amongst midwest values. Thanks J and all of the regulars for treating me with such kindness. This will be my second home here in Atlanta.

J's is the perfect neighborhood cigar shop. I've only been once, but it was a great experience. Everyone was super friendly and I immediately felt welcomed. J had some complimentary fruit and snacks that my friend and I munched on while we watched the end of NBA finals game. If that doesn't convey the vibe, I'm not sure what else will. I would definitely recommend a trip if you live nearby.

I use to go to a cigar shop 3mi from my house. When I came across J's Cigar I started driving past my old shop, 20 additional minutes just to get to J's. Warm and cozy, comfortable, relaxing and mellow atmosphere. Jay loves his customers and they live him to. Bigger isn't always better.

Every small business is defined by its proprietor and in this case, J's Cigars is very nice cigar shop run by "J" a warm, cordial and charming man. Everyone is greeted personally and warmly by J. The lounge is comfy and cozy with many regulars chilling out in a plush chair or couch in front of one of several tv's puffing on their favorite stick. The humidor is adequately stocked with popular brands and inexpensive bundles. There are many cigar accessories available as well as coffee, tea and soft drinks for purchase.

Popped in here randomly while we were waiting for a restaurant to open a few miles away. My girlfriend enjoys cigars and I surprised her with a stop here for coffee and a cigar. Great selection of cigars, and a cosy, comfortable space. J is a wonderful host, very welcoming and friendly. If we lived in Atlanta, this would be a regular hangout for us. We'll be back!

The most inviting, kind man runs this place. I visited as by myself this evening and was blown away by the welcoming and hospitable owner. As a female sometimes cigar shops are awful, this was the exact opposite. I have never felt safer or more respected. This place is a gem. Great selection and environment!

I just moved into town, in an apartment complex just down the street. I've been looking for somewhere cool I could go hang out outside the house (I work from home, and sometimes you just need to get out), and I was actually searching for coffee shops when this place came up. I'd seen it in a little run-down strip mall, with bars on the windows, and didn't hold high hopes - until I saw the other reviews. This. Place. Is. AWESOME! Jay, the owner, really is a great guy. I don't actually know much about cigars, so he showed me around the humidor, and was happy to chat when I wanted to but not overly pushy and obnoxious like some hosts can be if you show any interest in talking at all. It's funny, I only know three Persian men, but all three of them are great storytellers and great listeners. The decor is eclectic but elegant; the filtration system could use an upgrade, but the selection in the humidor is excellent, and I'm sure if I asked, Jay could probably find just about any cigar I was looking for, given the right amount of time and patience. There are plenty of comfy chairs, a couple of flat screens, drinks (but no alcohol license), and free wi-fi. What more could a guy ask for, right? How about instant friends? Turns out there are quite a few regulars, very friendly guys who will leave you alone if you want to just sit in the corner with your laptop or let you in on the conversation if you look like you want to talk. Apparently it gets loud if some of the boys show up, but I get the feeling it'd be more playfully rowdy than obnoxious. I'll be a regular here I'm sure, even if the house the wife and I are looking to buy ends up being crosstown. It'll be worth the drive.

J's Cigars is like your favorite t-shirt, when you are there you can't get any more comfortable than you already are. He usually has coffee available and the crowd is usually siting watching a game or a news channel and talking amongst themselves. There are also several small cafe type tables with chairs to sit at and play chess or backgammon. I have been coming here for 8 years and have know J for closer to 15. He is very welcoming and hospitable and enjoys getting to know everyone who comes in. The store has a great selection and fair prices, including the "Walking J special". And he stocks my favorite, Oliva "O".

A true humidor and jay is a true gentleman. He knows his smokes, has a large selection and a nice lobby. If you want a glass door that says members only, a female cashier that advises you to buy a Connecticut and higher prices to pay for that, go somewhere else. If you want leather couches, a braves game, good lighting and a quiet smoke at the end of the day, come here!

very warm and friendly, but VERY MUCH a dude space. I think they would have been cool with me hanging out there despite the fact that I was the only femme person there, but I felt way too awkward to be there alone. Also this is not a coffeeshop: they just have a regular drip coffee machine there, so I wouldn't recommend it for a coffee nerd like me.
