Today was the day. . the day I had to become responsible. After leaving my car dealership a couple months ago after an oil change and tire rotation I was told I needed new tires. *sigh*. It's something that everyone doesn't want to hear, however everyone knows it needs to happen sooner or later. My dad has been telling me about this shop and their great prices. I came in & was helped by Sean. He helped educate me on the different tires that they had to offer. We picked out a great one with a nice warranty and rebate (no mail in, online). It's nice to know that Discount Tire is located in a lot of busy city area. I spent most of my time getting educated about the tires than the actual tires getting put on. While I was waiting, I was given a ball cap & grabbed a cold bottle of water. I was in and out in 30 minutes. A couple pointers: - they offer military discount - they price match - you don't have to make an appointment - Sean said go to the Suffolk location and ask for him. He's transferring lol! Overall, great customer service!

This Discount Tire is located at the intersection of General Booth Blvd. and Dam Neck Rd. You can enter the business heading eastbound on Dam Neck Rd. or heading northbound along General Booth Blvd. The building and signs are highly visible from the road. My first visit here was on November 15, 2018. The reason for coming in was due to the TPMS light coming on for the car the evening before, meaning there was an issue with a tire somewhere. The place is pretty close to home so the travel there wasn't long at all. I went into the bay for their free air and tire pressure checks. After they did the check, sure enough, one of the tires was punctured. Since the tire was repairable, it was actually no cost to have it fixed there. One thing they told me afterwards is that one of my tires already had a tread depth of 4/32 and recommended replacing the tires soon. I guess my tires were getting tired already. I declined at the time as I hadn't had any other issues. In the end, this was a great first experience here, and would come back in the future to get new tires. After getting my car's oil change and tire rotation completed at my local dealership (free), they made a note as well about the tires should be looked at being replaced. I talked to them about it, but of course, the cost is much higher there and also brought up the issue that the tires are rated for 55,000 miles, yet I only had 25,000 miles on the car at the time. They offered to cover 30% of the cost to replace them, but the cost is still much higher than what I could get at Discount Tire. A week or so later, I was back at Discount Tire to start the process of looking at tires for my car, as well as my mom's car. I figured it would be best to get both done at the same time since both cars needed new tires. My initial visit for this was on April 13, 2019, but didn't commit yet as I was checking several places. Nicholas Sparrow was the one that I talked to then, who is also one of the store managers. About a week later, after searching for tires and checking different tire stores out, I went and ordered the tires for my car. After searching online beforehand, I found them cheaper by about $35 per tire. They will match tire prices, even online ones. The sales process as a whole was easy and no pressure. Two days after that, the tires were in and was time to have the tires put on the cars. Nicholas made the entire process very easy and hassle free. It was a great time to get them too between different rebates that ultimately added up to $120. Overall, this was an excellent experience for both incidents that brought me here. With the purchase of the tires, tire rotation and balances are included for the life of the tires, as well free air checks. Nicholas was great to work with and also had a great experience with the assistant manager Richard Weimer when the car was ready to be taken back. One thing I do want to note is that they do not do alignments at Discount Tire. In the end, if you are in the market for new tires, be sure to check out their website, check pricing elsewhere, and then come in with proof of the best price so they can match it when you get your tires here. You won't be disappointed.

Always on the lookout for a fair auto shop and after reading the reviews, I decided to give them a try. Without a doubt, I will be back next time I need maintenance. I went in for a slow leak on a tire and oil change on a Saturday and asked about a state inspection which I was told would have to wait until Monday. A short wait later and my tire leak was repaired, oil was changed and they were able to squeeze me in for the inspection. Fantastic customer service, facility and professionalism!

PAINLESS: I woke up this morning to a flat tire. After pumping it up, I took my truck in to Discount Tire at General Booth and Dam Neck rds.this morning for repairs.. They jumped right on it. The bays were clean and well equipped and the staff was thorough and courteous. The mechanic found a small nail in the tire. He removed the nail and repaired the tire. After repairing the tire he rebalanced it. He re installed the tire and torqued the the nuts down, he also checked the torque on the other three tires. Once this was done he checked the air in the rest of the tires. All of this took 20 minutes. I was impressed when he returned my keys and he said no charge.., I will recommend this establishment to everybody.. Thank you Discount Tires!!

If you want your wheels and tires done right, General Booth crew is the way to go in VB. Customer service at this location remains on point after having my tires replaced, and rotated a year later.. I went to 4 other stores prior to this and everyone told me I needed a new tire and it could not be patched, when I went into discount tire Edgar was so welcoming and wanted to see the tire and determine what the best option would be. The store was very busy and they took the car in right away, within half an hour it was done and they were able to patch the tire. I had a check tire light on my truck. They helped me out by inspecting the tires and pressure. They didn't try to push unnecessary stuff on me, but did educate. From the moment they answered the phone, I had a good feeling about this place! Made an appointment to have a tire plugged after catching a nail and was thrilled at how fast (and free) they took care of me. They checked my tread depth, but did NOT get pushy about buying new ones and pointed out that I still had some miles left before they would need to be replaced. I had taken my tire to another tire chain and was told the nail in my tire was too close to the tread and the tire was not repairable. That seemed suspect bc the nail was NOWHERE near the tread. Instead we brought the tire to this Discount Tire where they said they would take a look. Thankfully they FIXED the tire and added road hazard coverage to my new vehicle tires with 15k miles. They could have taken advantage of me and forced me into buying a tire. Instead they did the right thing and treated me fairly and honestly. Great service and integrity. Absolutely satisfied with the service here. Extremely professional, friendly and helpful both on the phone and the second I walked into the front door. Facility is very clean and comfortable. Firestone wanted to charge for patch and rotation with a time estimate of 1 hour. Discount Tire gladly did both free of charge in under 25 minutes. They also offer military discount. Strongly suggest, and will certainly be returning with all of my vehicles for future services.

One of the few places that had spare tires for my mom's truck. Held 2, got there after having a tire blow out on the way to discount tires. Sales guy (Richard) was nice and friendly, did have to wait a few min with some other guy typing away ignoring customers. Richard reviewed my situation, provided options, was not pushy in the least. Took him up on 2 new and 2 used. Said it'd take an hour to install, i left. An hour later they called and it was done. Tires feel great, pleasantly surprised they even put the spare back (its a truck, have to wind it up under the bed).. Very happy with my choice to come here. Would recommend.

So we're 400 miles away from home. Come out of our RV in the morning and I'm greeted by a flat tire. Screw punctured through it. Took it to discount tire (first time ever going to one of their locations). First off, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Asked if I had an appointment, to which I did not. They told me it'd be about an hour. So we left and ended up coming back in 30 minutes (other plans got cancelled) and it was already ready to go! They loaded it in the truck for me, and when I went to pay they told me they didn't charge for flat repair! Never have I gone to a tire shop with such a nice staff who are literally there to help you out the way they did. It's only a shame I don't have one closer to home, I'd go there every time!

Amazing Customer Service! I rolled in with a flat tire in my trunk and donut spare on my car. I asked them to please check/repair the tire and after checking it, tightening a loose valve stem, remounting it and storing my spare they sent me on my way at no charge! I have been to tons of shops with my truck for various things and never have I ever been more satisfied with a shop. I came in to get a screw removed from my tire, the door was held open for me and I was greeted by helpful and respectful techs. With polished forged wheels, I asked that the techs be very careful with them as they’re very soft. The tech pulled a blanket from his own vehicle to set them on the table with and avoided touching the outer barrels and spokes of the wheel the whole time. The screw removal was free and I was provided with updates the whole time. I’m so impressed with these techs and their work ethic and will be returning for all tire and wheel related needs. Highly recommend!

Two weeks after buying new tires I had a Pressure Sensor problem on my Highlander and return for assistance. Richard and his Manager jumped on it immediately and solved the problem in 10 minutes. Excellent customer service, pleasant and knowledgeable staff. When I was shopping for a new set of all terrain tires, I was set on a certain brand and the sales person said they could definitely get those tires in but then asked why I was set on those tires. I told him I had put a lot of time into combing through many tire reviews from multiple sources and these stood out as the better tire. He asked me if he could show me something similar but that was about $30 per tire less. I didn't feel any pressure in that exchange so I agreed to look. He gave me time to look at various reviews (which were positive) and after a few questions, I ended up going with the less expensive tire. I am very content with that purchase and I appreciated the fact that he offered to show me the other option but didn't push it on me. Later, I needed a re-balance on one of those tires and I called them up, got in the same day, and they balanced all 4 tires free of charge. I was there for about 30 min total. Very nice experiences.

Every discount offers the free tire inflation, this is the only store where I've never felt like an inconvenience for rolling up to that bay. Great experience at Discount Tire! I went there on Monday with a nail in one of my tires. Walmart in Virginia Beach had declined to repair it, and Discount Tire repaired it no charge saying that they hoped I would consider them for future business! I live in Canada, and offered to pay as I am not local to them but Victor said no. Flat was fixed for free within the hour and I was back on the road. Since my tires were down to 4-5/32 I decided to look at Discount Tire's web site and found that their prices were very competitive and decided to go back there and change my tires with them. Stopped in this morning for a nail in my tire. The people were very friendly and helpful. They repaired my tire right away for free! You don't find quality business like this much anymore. I will definitely be back to this store when I need anything tire related in the future.

I visited Discount Tire for the first time 18+ years ago for a flat tire that they fixed for FREE. I have been a loyal customer and have visited Discount Tire stores in CA, TX, GA, and now VA. One constant remains, their FANTASTIC customer service, which is second to none. As expected, this store did not disappoint either. Jose was amazing as he greeted me at the door and addressed my needs. They removed the nail, balanced and mounted my tire, reset the TPMS, and inspected/inflated all my tires for FREE! I was in an out of the store in minimal time. I will never buy tires again from anyone other than Discount Tire. Check them out!

He made it possible for me to be in and out in 45 minutes since I was short on time. Came in for a rotation, staff noticed that I had a leak plugged and saw that I had bought coverage for the tire so they replaced the tire with a new one. This morning on my way to work I hit one of our oh so lovely ever present potholes. Immediately I heard the dreaded sound of air escaping my tire and when I did check I foubd my rim was damaged. I did several local searches and a few phone calls and was not too happy with prices nor availability. Someone mentioned Discount Tire and sure enough it was a good choice. They held the replacement rim for me until I got there. The price was only beaten online by Amazon which I did not have the time to wait for. I actually ended up replacing 2 rims and buying 2 new tires as well. This was not an upsell but something I decided to do. The entire thing from the moment I sat down only took about 20 minutes. I was quite happy with the service, the price and the staff and will definitely be going there in the future.

As I observe all the bays and their technicians I couldn’t help but see how happy and engaged they were with each other which I know as a leader that Happy employees always produce quality work over all. They truly stand by their vision that revolves around “Integrity”. As I write this very review leaden is cleaning my other tires making them presentable. I’m truly blown away by their professional appearance and work habits. If you are looking for that old school care and family based feel this is the place. Even the coffe was outstanding. Service date 02/02/2023; took my vehicle in for installation of two new front tires that I had purchased online back on 01/31/23. When the order delivery date and my self-scheduled appointment that I scheduled online for 02/06/23 was not going to work out, the store called me a day later and informed me of this. After a non-stressful in-store discussion and non-stressful followup phone-call discussion, the matter was resolved, most entirely due to the extra mile that the store manager Edgar C. went for me to help me get back on the road again. I have been relying on and going to this Discount Tire location for many years, and just when I thought this was the best Discount Tire store in my local area at its best, it proves me wrong and goes beyond that even further. Excellent customer service, professionalism, good timing, great work ethics and attitudes of the technicians and staff are still at an all time high level there as well. So a shout out to store manager Edgar C., thank you for your excellent help and service, and a thank you to all the technicians and staff working there as well. As always, will be coming back for further tire related services and needs for my vehicle.
