I went to tire town to fix a loose battery terminal. They had previously saved me with a flat tire. Today, they fit me in quickly and were nice on the phone. I went in and they helped me immediately and I was done in 10 minutes for free. They are so nice and great to their customers. Would recommend for all car troubles!

It’s a pretty long story, but these guys took very very good care of me with a new set of tires in an inopportune time for me and my son on a trip to Ohio. In and out in 15 minutes. I was in town to work the Penn State football game with my sprinter van. I noticed a leak at the valve stem when I got to my truck. I called tire town and they said swing on by. I was 5 miles away and praying I could make it before the tire lost all the air. I made it and had it repaired and on the road within 15 minutes. Affordable quick and polite. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

I've come here for an inspection and oil change, two different times. The guys are super nice and I never feel uncomfortable or like I'm going to be taken advantage of. The mechanics do great work and I'll choose them over the local Volkswagen dealership every time!!!

I tried all of the tire shops back home (NY) and they weren’t interested in breaking a stubborn bead on a lawn wagon tire. Frustrated, we threw it in the car to try to get it fixed during a weeklong vacation back home. Why put up with slow leaks and slime repairs when you can have it all done right, and fast at tire town for a reasonable price? We had such a positive experience at tire town, we plan to bring the lawn tractor wheel and remaining wagon wheel for tire town to fix on our next trip back home. 🤠

Great, fast, friendly service. We were on our way to a mini vacation when our car kept hydroplaning in the rain. Decided to stop off in Stage College to see if we could get tires fast somewhere. They got us right in and we were on our way again in less than an hour. We enjoyed a complimentary drink while we waited, they gave our son and little foam tire toy, and they even took us through the garage to get our car since it was raining outside. Highly recommend this place!

Blew two tires on I-80 driving across the country and got a tow to tire town. The guys there were ready by the time the car got there. In and out in about 30-45 minutes and back on the road. Such great service, stopped on the way back across the country to have them specifically put the other two on!....tires were priced nice as well 👍

Had a bad experience somewhere and needed a replacement tire.i came here to get that replacement and got good service .I like to get road force balance just to be safe and to iron out and possible vibrations.they showed me each tires numbers and if needed be put more work in to get the best ride quality .some places don't do so even if they say they will.i will be returning here from now on.very happy with the experience .

Getting your car checked anywhere, especially as a woman, can be such a stressful experience - but not here! Went to get my state inspection and emissions test done here with a friend and everything went smoothly. We both dropped off our cars, and in less than an hour we both got it back with no problems. Zero. Problems. Just paid the basic fees and we were out. No more "the cap is broken". No more "you need to replace your windshield wipers to pass." You'd think this is how every car place would work but really, it's not. Too many times my friends and I have been charged for random parts that were "broken" when we know for a fact they weren't when we dropped off the car - but what can you do? You need to pass the inspection so you pay. I don't need to to worry about that here. The staff is friendly, and you get exactly what you expect. I'll be back here every year for my annual inspections - and I'll tell my stressed out friends to come here too!

Eric Dillon will help you in every way he can to not only get your car or vehicle going smoothly but also do his best in keeping your cost as low as he possibly can! I experienced all these things and some on my first and only visit to this store. And based on my experience I will definitely return when the need arises, for sure!

Blew 2 tires on a cross country trip. In the middle of a state I'm unfamiliar with. Had to be towed off I80 in Pennsylvania, and actually found this tire shop (thanks to the tow truck driver) had the tires that we needed (low profile, Cooper tires). From the time we, and the car, were dropped off, it took less than an hour and we were back on the road. Fantastic customer service from everyone in the tire shop! I heard them speaking with their customers and interacting on a first name basis. And prices were very comparable to what we would find in Colorado.

Seems like a pretty terrific shop to me! I've only been here twice, and have only gotten a State inspection, but these guys seem skilled and more trustworthy than most. They quoted me a good price and were much more open and honest about their practices than another place in town, and they even squeezed me in an extremely busy day to check out my car after I didn't pass inspection and made the necessary repairs. I find a lot of mechanics to be dishonest but they only told me one issue with my car and they were definitely right. Will be back next time I need work!

The folks at tire town are great. They do way more than just tires. We have an older vehicle that we need to get 2 more years out of and the kids were rough on it this winter. The driver’s door wasn’t closing properly and one of the plastic undercarriage pieces was dragging. Tiretown fixed us up, inspected vehicle, changed brakes and oil, and did it all at a very reasonable cost. Thanks Tiretown!

Tire Town is awesome. They have amazing service and are the best all around garage for service, tires, inspections etc. in State College. They are friendly on the phone and in person. They are great at scheduling, always finish on time and are great at getting you in and out quickly and efficiently. I can't recommend them enough. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my car service needs so long as they're able do it! Their prices are also great! I changed my tires here, changed my oil here, and did my yearly inspection. I also fixed a puncture here once. They're honestly the best. Don't even think about going anywhere else. Avoid places like Monro at all cost!

I had a fantastic experience with the Tire Town crew. I came into the shop without an appointment after just having to jump-start my car, and the guys were able to inspect the car, replace the battery, and pump up the air in my tires (without me asking) within a time span of fifteen minutes. All of the employees were very friendly and professional as well, along with following the appropriate COVID guidelines. I will definitely be returning for all of my car-related needs in the future. We were traveling to Michigan for a family wedding. Our Ford Expedition hit a 3ft piece of a steel rod and it punctured our front left tire. The closest place on the way was Tire Town. The price was very competitive and these guys were great- had us back on the road in 45 minutes! Would have loved to visit State College for other reasons besides needing new tires, so we recommend them!

Pleased that Eric and the Tire Town tecnicians asked to assess a low tire with a screw in it I expected to replace recommended a repair. They safety inspected all four tires and had me out in less than an hour for less than $40 with a simple permanent repair. Not many shops you can rely on to sell you just what you need not what they can push. When I need to replace the tires on my truck I'll return to Tire Town.

I had a tire emergency of sorts on a day that I had to leave to drive a few hundred miles. I needed to get on the road quickly. Tire town got me up and running in about an hour. I told them I was concerned about two of the tires (one definitely needed to be replaced). Had they told me to replace both, I would have not hesitated. They were honest and told me that one of the two was fine. The price was also significantly lower than the dealership for a perfectly fine tire.

Great customer service! Discovered a gigantic nail protruding from my tire while visiting my PSU student. Her friend recommended Tire Town, so I gave them a call. No appointment necessary for a nail-in-the-tire situation. (Always check first, just in case Wile E. Coyote dumped a case of acme tacks on the road and there are other drivers in your predicament!). Done in less than an hour! One regret: I should have brought a sandwich to enjoy while sitting in their outdoor tailgate chairs on this lovely day!

I have nothing but good things to say about Tire Town. I’m a college student, a woman, kind of petite, and pretty obviously know next to nothing about cars, so I’m always worried that auto mechanics will try to take advantage of my ignorance. But the guys at Tire Town always take time to explain to me exactly what was wrong with my car and what they did to fix it, and never talk down at me for not knowing about auto repair. About a year ago, I lost traction during a snowy morning and slammed against a curb, denting the rim of my front driver-side wheel and causing a leak in my tire. It was dented pretty badly, and I was dreading having to spend hundreds of dollars to replace it, but one of the guys at Tire Town told me that they managed to bend it back into place and I haven’t had any problems with my wheel or tire since. They certainly could’ve told me it was absolutely busted and that I needed a new wheel, and I would’ve believed them, but they didn’t. Today my car battery died and I was freaking out about not being able to get an appointment with TT quickly, because I need my car to get to work and was planning to drive down to my parents’ house for Christmas in three days. Tire Town is usually pretty busy, so I was preparing myself for only being able to get an appointment after Christmas. But they told me that if I could get it jumped, I could drop it off and they’d get it back to me as soon as possible. When I got it to them, they got my car in their garage almost immediately and got me in and out with a new battery in half an hour. I was surprised and extremely grateful at their urgency and efficiency. I always recommend Tire Town to any of my friends in State College who need car maintenance. I'm glad to have found an auto repair shop that I feel comfortable at!

Went here for a car inspection and oil change. The staff were friendly and helpful, not at all pushy, service was prompt, and there are many shops and things within walking distance for while you wait. Was given a very easy to understand readout of services rendered and what the car still needed. They affixed a small sticker on the windshield stating at what mileage to return for my next oil change (which I appreciate as someone who loses track of those sorts of things). I will definitely return to Tire Town for future inspections and oil changes.

I visited Tire Town around 1:15pm as a walk-in appointment and asked them to assess (and hopefully repair) my tire suffering from a slow leak. I was out the door by 2pm with an air tight tire! Further still, they fixed my problem for the amazingly affordable price of $42! I am thoroughly impressed with my experience here. The staff were friendly and courteous with every customer they interacted with, both on the phone and in person. I strongly recommend Tire Town to *anyone* in need of tire services. I tell you what, I was in from out of town. About 3 hours out. With a very specific car, that required a very specific Tire. This place was the only place in or around me that can facilitate my one special tire that I needed, to get me in and get me back on the road within a half an hour. To give you a little bit of a background, I have worked in, and own mechanic shops my entire life. My career, what I do is to work with mechanic shops all across the country. And I tell you what, the shop here even though I was only there one time, facilitated everything I needed, with my specific Tire, in my time frame, to get me back on the road and back down to Baltimore with in no time. These guys are the real deal, I'm very particular about where I take my car. But if for whatever reason I am back in this area, and I need anything, this is the place I'm taking it too. Thank you all so much for getting me in, and getting me out with an amazing time frame.

I usually don't complain about things and I was just going to let this pass, but then thought I should mention it here so that other customers might have a better future experience. I've purchased tires in the past from JR at Tire Town and brought vehicles in for work and have always had great customer service, until today. I called to schedule service for my vehicle and spoke with JR. During the conversation he was kind of rude and condescending, cutting me off while we were talking. The drop-off experience wasn't real pleasant either--curt and short, like I was a bother--customer service FAIL. So when you call or visit the shop, maybe ask to speak with someone else--the rest of the staff that I worked with was friendly and courteous. I was satisfied with the PA inspection work.

This is the best auto repair shop I've ever visited. The service is excellent. The customer service representatives are friendly. The prices are lower than comparable estimates at dealer service departments. You can even walk in and they'll start diagnosing the car immediately, whereas at dealers an appointment is usually necessary.

Went in today with the donut on my car and asked about used tires. The gentleman assisting me advised that I’d need 4 if I replaced it as to not cause alignment issues. He suggested I fix the tire instead. In and out in 15 minutes and the repair job was only 25 bucks! I appreciated not being coerced into buying something I didn’t need. Great service.

I have been going to Tire Town for the past few years now. Their service is absolutely stellar and, in all the times I've had any tire issues, I don't think I had to wait more than an hour! This is because they have two teams, one that solely works on tire issues and another that handles all the other scheduled services (oil changes, etc). Large parking lot, easy to get to, free coffee & good tunes - this place feels more like an 'old neighborhood' auto shop where you would know everyone by name. More important than all of this is I trust them with both the work and the prices. There isn't another place I would go for tire related issues, whether it's a patch job or a new set of sneakers.

Quality Work and Honest People. I started to take my cars to Tire Town for inspections, tires, and mechanical work several years ago and have been very pleased. Another inspection shop I use to go to always seemed to find something wrong that would cost a few hundred dollars to fix and pass inspection. Tire Town does honest work. They follow inspection guidelines to the letter I am sure, but their mechanics don't lie or break things just to get more work. I have had them do repair work and I have purchased tires from them, and have had no problems. They do quality work for a fair price. I highly recommend them.

I didn't care much for the way I was treated. Sure, I got solid winter tires at a fair price; however, they were condescending and tried to steer me away (pun happily unintended) from purchasing a specific tire that Consumer Reports had recommended for spring/summer/fall. I took my money elsewhere and won't be returning. I'm in the minority though so take my review with a grain of salt.

I had a slow leak in one of my tires so after a little bit of internet research decided on Tire Town. I stopped by without an appointment at 7:45 Am and was out by 8:15. Their service was fast and friendly and their prices were fair- FIVE STARS! *FYI I overheard one of the service dudes say that they basically can be busy at any given time because of the high volumes of walk ins they get, but the most likely time to hit them up without a wait was between 9am-11am.

5 is the max rating but I would give this place a 10 if I could. Ernie Crock is about the most accommodating tire professional in North America. We were headed across the commonwealth to Ohio for a wedding when we got a flat the evening before the wedding that couldn’t be plugged. We decided to get a hotel room and called Tire Town at 7:30 on Saturday morning. Ernie assured us he would have us on the road in under an hour. We dropped the car off at 8 and it was done before 8:30 and for a modest price. We were on the road to our wedding by 9 with time to spare. Unfortunately it’s unlikely I’ll get a chance to give him my business again - but you definitely should.

Always had a great experience here. They fixed an electrical problem after another local shop failed, and at half the price. Took my van here when it broke down and they realized that they wouldn't be able to do the job but pointed me to someone who could. Didn't charge me a cent. Most recently had a brake line fixed and it was done by mid-afternoon under quote. Always call before they do any work, and they are polite and happy to explain the problem.

2 of my tires had been leaking for a few months. I couldn't figure out why. The tread was good. I went to tire town and they figured out that the rims were corroded. They ground them down and so far everything is good. And much cheaper than new tires. 1 hour tops. Depending on what time you go. I got there before lunch. No appointment. Just roll in.

I needed to get my snow tires changed out on a Saturday on short notice. I called and they said if I could get there by 12:30, they could do it. I got there at 12:20, dropped it off quickly. They called me back at 1:10 and said it was ready. Even got one tire patched at no extra cost. Great experience overall and I will be back in the fall to get the snow tires put back on.
