I would have given this place 5 stars but unfortunately..... no. Mike is kind of rude. First, he quoted a higher price for inspecting what was wrong with the car (125 instead of 65). Second, he made me believe that there would be temporary fix in case we didn't have time for the permanent fix (we were leaving town in next couple of days). Third, we had to park our vehicle in their lot after the fix since we couldn't pick up the vehicle the same evening due to snowstorm, but then Mike called me next day at 9 am stating "Our agreement was that the vehicle will be picked up at 7 am and you didn't. So now, you need to pick up ASAP". I was surprised by this command (not a request), since It had snowed and iced the day before and we did not want to drive in the morning as the streets were covered with snow and ice. My wife had to arrange for a drop off and drive the vehicle back in snow and ice with our little kids with a risk of getting in the wreck. Mike told me that they needed space for their customers, which they had plenty of space on the side of their business and there was a common parking lot for all the nearby businesses. I spent a lot of money, and he couldn't even help me in this unique situation. This speaks volumes about the customer service. Any mechanic can fix the vehicle but it's the customer service, honesty, and appreciation that makes the business stand out from others. I would prefer to go somewhere else next time.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quick turn around and an honest assessment of problems that would not pass inspection. Our usual mechanic could not even see the car for a week, and this was less than 48 hours completed. We are revising our views of who will fix our cars in the coming years.

Took my car in on Wednesday 12/8, about an hour and half before they close, and talk to Dillon and told him everything I needed done on my car. He told it would be no problem but they couldn't look at on Wednesday, which was absolutely fine since I knew I was coming in close to them closing. He then politely explained if I brought it in before 9am on Thursday I could get it looked at. So I showed up around 830 on Thursday 12/9 and talked to Matt and told him about my previous talk with Dillon and he said no problem and I was out the door after that. Around 930am i got a call from Don and he told what need to be done and was very helpful in explaining things i didn't understand. 11am I got a call saying my car was ready. Overall I had nothing but a positive experience here. Everyone from Dillon to Matt and to Don they were all very exceptional at their jobs.

I’ve been taking my family’s cars here for over a year and have been met with kind and efficient service every time. Yesterday, I worked with Matt and he was extremely helpful. He helped my mom get the tires she needed for her car and found coupons for the other work her car needed done. Nathan was also extremely helpful and gave me an estimate on tires for my car so I know how much I’ll have to pay in the future. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the service we have received and will definitely recommend to other people who need their tires done.

I was referred to Dobbs by Goodyear to assess a warranty claim as the tires began to flake/peel on the tread. I worked closely with Matt in Sunset Hills and was grateful for his attention to detail and prompt response time. I was able to have new tires installed within 2 days of my tires arriving at the store. The entire process took 3 hours, which was incredible.

I had come prepared to sit and do my office work for a couple of hours while I waited for my car inspections. It was 45 minutes and my two inspections, plus blade replacement, were complete. I had a bad experience at this location. The Workers were treating me different because of my skin color they we’re trying give me wrong information on my infinity saying my VDC light from traction was coming from my motor When they Rotated my tieres they told me I couldn’t leave with out them replacing my nubs on my car so I paid for brand new nubs parts for my car so they replace them then rotate my wheels in did wheel liming I paid for front in back wheel liming the guy that I gave my key said they was working on a part in they didn’t want to brake so I couldn’t get back wheel liming it so he gave me 20 dollars back but when he went to the manger he tried to act like he didn’t say that he said my car was good so I leave in I get like 15 minutes down highway i here scrapping sounds then I take it to them the next day cause they were closed in them guys gave it to me raw saying I had to pay 125 for in inspection in if I didn’t pay I can leave there shop the guy that was fixing on my car didn’t even wanna speak with me so I go down to Midas in the manager calls them in let them know that the parts they fixed were strip in said some of they guys do it sometimes what they started lying saying I wanted to fight them then hung up wen I started talking said F*** you kid in you can call in ask the manger At Midas On Sunset hills Watson rd so they didn’t even test drive my car only reason I went to them is because Midas on sunset hills machine is down right now but them guys are good they get everything done

I’ve have used this location twice since moving back to the area. I have nothing but good things to say. I scheduled a waiting appointment and was out in under an hour for both. One for the inspection/emission needed to get state plates; and then for an oil change and tire rotation. Always friendly in office area. And I have no complaints about the interior of my car after work has been completed. Update 2/2022…Another oil change and recently a set of new tires. Always a pleasure to work with, accommodating and professional.

Excellent, friendly service. We discovered a nail in my daughter’s tire after hours on a Thursday, and left an appointment request. I specified that I would be available after 2 on Friday and that I would not be able to answer phone calls until that time. By 0645 the next morning,Matt had emailed saying that he had reserved a 3 pm appointment for us. We arrived about 250 and check in was friendly and efficient. We checked out in about 30 minutes with no issues or attempts at upsales . My teenage daughter says that she would even be comfortable going on her own. We will definitely return.

I'm a huge fan of the Dobb's in Sunset Hills. How much of a fan? I actually take a day off from work to bring my car in for service. I used to work across the street from this location and after I found a new job I went to the location closer to me and really felt uneasy. They didn't do anything wrong. It's just that these guys are fun and still tell it like it is. They tell me what I need done and sometimes I can afford it and sometimes I tell them to hit me up next time. There is never any threat that my car is gonna stop running or anything. It's always, "okay, that's cool. Next time. " As a matter of fact that's what happened today... the guy came back and said, "we've had this conversation before, are you ready to get this done". I agreed it was time and while I was told it was gonna take another hour, it took about 40 minutes. I trust them and will continue to go to them. Also. I should note that they ALL wore masks the entire time I was there, their waiting room was clean and some chairs were removed to support socially distancing. They even had someone come in and spray the room while we were there. I wish the girl that wiped off the chairs had worn a mask... all she did was hold her sweatshirt sleeve up to her face... but they were in and out of there quickly so... Anyway. . I'm definitely a fan of this Dobbs and highly recommend it!

I had an 8 am appt for an oil change and arrived a few minutes early. I was greeted by Matt and he took care of the check-in right away, very friendly and professional. Fresh hot coffee was available along with friendly conversation in between customers. Before I knew it, my car was ready and I was on my way. Very enjoyable experience. The whole experience was wonderful, as it always has been for me at Dobbs. I went in because my tire pressure light was on. They’ve always checked and filled the tires for free, and they did this time too. However, they found a bubble on one of the tires. Because they’ve always been honest with me and have never pressured me to buy anything, I trust them when they say a new tire is necessary. Though they were extremely busy (Matt was talking on two phones when I came in), they installed a new tire and aligned it in an hour and a half. I’m happy.

I went to Dobbs in SUNSET HILLS this morning and had tires checked due to warning sign for low air in tire. GREETED by manager Matt who is always enthusiastic, helpful and fast. He informed me it might take a few minutes so I could wait. In 15 minutes, a screw was removed ... tire pressure checked on all tires and I was sent on my way with a minimal charge. FAST, EFFICIENT & FRIENDLY... I will return in the future for all my car tire needs!

I have been using Dobbs in Sunset Hills as a car service provider for years. The staff continue to surprise me w their accommodations. I would like to thank Nathan for staying open late when I was stuck in a traffic jam that closed the road for 40 minutes making me arrive after 8pm. He could have just had me use the drop box and left on time. It was so reassuring to be able to drop the car off in person and give a report of the service needed. Was passing through St. Louis, Missouri from Georgia. Had major wear on outside of front right tire with noticeable vibration in front end. Steve (Tech) found a bubble on inside wall of front right tire no doubt averting a future major catastrophe while driving. Don (Manager) and Nathan (Service Manger) recommended replacing all tires since tread was showing major wear at just 36,800 miles on my 2019 Dodge Dually 3500 Turbo Diesel. I've been going here for years and I trust them more than the dealership. They shuttle service is very fast and convenient, and the service reps are friendly and helpful. I went to the Honda dealership for an oil change and they told me my battery needs to be replaced and the strike plate need to be replaced for $579. Battery was 2 years old. I went to Dobbs and they said the battery was fine and covered under their 5 year warranty just in case, and they hammered out the strike plate and reinstalled it for $70. They also pulled out my air filter and it was filthy - can't believe the dealership missed another thing to charge me on! Saved over $400 with them on just this experience alone.

Seem to be fair pricing. ...lots of specials for tires and oil changes. I was in a real bind when I got a flat tire in the rain and discovered that my spare was barely functional. Dobbs was able to get my car in and get a new tire put on even though they were just about to close for the night. They gave me a great price, and were helpful and upfront throughout the process. Dobbs Tire and Auto SAVED MY LIFE!!!! My son and I were in town for a soccer tournament. At 3:30 on Saturday afternoon of Labor day weekend (nothing is going to be open again until Tuesday!) I looked up auto repair on google maps and Dobbs was the only shop even open. With only a few hours left in the work day I was sure I was doomed to be stuck in St Louis until Tuesday afternoon at the earliest. Matt said they’d take a look at and I explained my tale of woe. He directed me to a nearby restaurant to eat. The restaurant was great and I hadn’t even finished eating when Matt called and said he hoped it was ok but he had approved a delivery driver to go get the exhaust part we needed and that their tech had agreed to stay late if necessary to get it done! They got the repair done in record time for a very affordable price. Weekend SAVED!!! Thank you Dobbs!!!!

Had a very good experience and was out of there in a timely manner. Staff was friendly and patient and the waiting room was clean and had 30-40 magazines laid out and a tv on the wall with the remote on the counter, which was a nice touch because I wanted to read my ebook so I could mute the tv. The mechanic did a great job too as far as I could tell.

Usually going to a mechanic shop as a female alone can be scary but not here. They told me from jump they weren't able to fix my tire. So they sold me the exact tire that was stock on my vehicle, then not only did they tell me my other tire was going bad, they actually SHOWED me where the damage was to it. Of course they tried to up sale but that's only what they're supposed to do, but it wasn't pushy or overbearing they asked and explained, once, why they felt I needed something else I said no that was the end of it. I appreciate these gentlemen at this Dobbs and I will be back.

On a return trip to the Chicago area from Branson, MO in our new diesel motor home, our Ford Fiesta tow car had a.tire failure just south of St. Louis late on a hot Friday afternoon. The State Trooper that stopped while we were changing the tire showed us the tire stores in the area on her phone. We called two of them and a Ford dealer, but none of them could get both a new tire and wheel until Monday, so we were stranded. We searched the Web and called Dobbs Tire since it was nearby. What a difference in attitude! Instead of excuses about the weekend and the rare type of wheel, etc., Nathan Brown at Dobbs Tire Center immediately declared that he would try his best to get us back on the road the next day. His team found a perfect original wheel at a salvage yard and sent a man to pick it up along with the new tire early Saturday morning. He even recommended a great restaurant for dinner Friday night! The car was finished before 11:00 am Saturday, and we were back on the road. Every person we talked to at Dobbs Tire Center was courteous and friendly, especially Nathan. They are truly customer service specialists!

Dobbs of Sunset Hills went above and beyond to help with a brake problem. I have an older specialty work van requiring Dobbs to research, find and install parts to correct the problem. I trust this Dobbs location. They are honest with service reccomendations and resonable pricing. Cannot beat lifetime warranty on many parts they offer.(Brake pads/Axle...) Did not give 5 starts for one reason, Shop Misc Fee/Environmental Fee is between $28.00 to $29.95, This is steep in my opinion.Hope they reduce this charge. Would reccomend Dobbs to friends or family.
