I stopped by this location today because I heard a weird noise underneath my car. When I checked underneath there there was a branch stuck underneath my vehicle and I couldn't even reach it to get it out. I saw Eli in the bay area taking care of a car and I asked if he could help me by maybe putting the car up on the rack so that I could reach the branch before it punctured something underneath my car. He came right out to the parking lot and laid down on the ground and reached under there and pulled that Branch out from underneath my car. It took 30 seconds. It was so nice of him to take the time out to put my mind at ease there were so many customers waiting in line and it's the end of the day. I truly appreciate his wonderful work ethic and his assistance.

Always pleasant when you go in. I went in without an appointment. My battery had died and I needed to get it replaced. AAA came and jumped me. I drove it over there and they had it back to me in about an hour and a half. I love this Dobbs!

Ran over some debris in road this morning causing a flat tire. I put the donut spare tire on, then took the flat tire to Dobbs. I dropped it off for them to replace. Even though the Hampton Dobbs was very busy, they called me within two hours letting me know my new tire was ready. I drove to a nearby empty parking lot and replaced the spare donut tire with the new tire. After installing the new tire the TPMS warning light went away on my dashboard, which was perfect. Thanks Dobbs!

The front desk guy not the manager but the muscle man working today Sept 27 is so nice! I feel bad don’t remember the name. But he always very pleasant & provided me a $10 coupon but the manage over there not friendly & he know me as a customer did not greet me or offer any discount. So yes workers are great but not so much the manager. But I would still go there because service is good regardless the manager.

I went to dobbs yesterday at around 5pm not to much time before they closed. The fellow working the counter was GREAT!!! I appreciate him squeezing me in and fixing my tire. The way the employees communicate with each other was wonderful as well. I thought they was reasonable and their attitudes and customer service was wonderful. I am very grateful, I’m just trying to get back and forth to work to pay my bills, and I’m so happy 😁 they were there to help!!!!

I was greeted with a nearly flat tire this morning on my way to work. I called and spoke with Jerome, the store manager, who was very polite and helpful over the phone. I was a walk-in, but they got to me as soon as they could- found a nail in my tire, patched it, and back out the door in around 90 minutes. And, covered by my warranty! Jerome and his staff were great- clean store and wifi!

Our south city Dobbs was fantastic in getting me out of a bind. Had a flat tire on a Friday evening and knew it needed patching. Brought it up in hopes of getting it done that night and they were able to squeeze me in to their busy schedule. Not only that, they have all of their prices for most services listed on a ticker in the lobby which was reassuring to know exactly what I would owe when picking up my car. Very thankful for the staff on that Friday who could get me back on the road before the weekend! Would recommend 10/10 times

I can honestly say that I had one of the best customer service experiences at Dobbs on Hampton. Tim was the person who helped me pick a new set of tires, get a manufacturer discounted price, and taught me some of the basics of tire maintenance and long-term wear. He was extremely thorough in covering warranty policies with me. Tim was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that a very expensive day at Dobbs was a little less expensive and a lot less stressful. It was an overall good experience and I would highly recommend asking to speak with Tim when you get there.

They do good work whenever I get I my oil changed here. Always done in a reasonable amount of time, even on busy Saturdays. The employee today knocked off an extra $5 on top of my coupon for being a loyal customer. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is that employees could do better about proper mask-wearing, and enforcing that onto customers. Saw people in the lobby with no mask at all and not a word was said to them.

Walked in without an appointment about 1:30 on a Wednesday. Needed oil change, tire rotation etc. and was informed it would be done by 4. I arrived at 4:30 and unfortunately it was not completed. Totally understandable and I was not upset at all, but Tim was so apologetic, professional, and made sure it was done within 10 minutes. Not only that, he comped my entire visit. I was not expecting that at all whatsoever and was blown away. 100/10 recommend. Thank you again and will most definitely be returning.

I'm not normally one to leave reviews but when I say this dobbs is hands down the best that I have ever been to in the state of Missouri that is not an exaggeration-- I've worked with multiple people, including Tim and Kevin; not only are they patient and attentive, they they took care of me when I literally pulled up with so many flat tires with tears in my eyes and they about to close! I could give so many examples and go on and on... but I will leave this review minimal by saying if you have any tire issues you have to go to this location they are incredible. I even took the owner aside and said your staff is incredible and he was even lovely and polite and gracious. 5 stars!! I would give 15 stars if I could.

Just had a great experience at this Dobbs. We needed 8 new tires, full brake service, and a couple of other small things all at once on our carS. Called ahead and had amazing customer service from Tim who was so helpful and friendly. He patiently walked us through all of the the options, helped us get the best deals and because we were getting so much done, he even threw in a little extra. When other trouble items were found on our old car that we chose not to do, he helped walk us through which ones were “must-dos” for the near future and which were less critical. It’s never fun spending this much on cars, but it’s a little less stressful when the service is this good.

This has been one of the best customer services I’ve ever had! At first I didn’t get that vibe, but as soon as Tim took over my case it was absolutely amazing. Even though at the end my tire was not going to be covered by the warranty, Tim made sure I completely understood why it wouldn’t which made total sense and gave me the best deal I could’ve ask for. I had the most amazing experience here this evening. I had a flat tire (almost undriveable) and I called in advance to see if they could fit me in (it was about an hour until they closed). Tim at the front desk could not have been more accommodating. He was fast, friendly and even with a packed lobby and a full day he still fit me in and got my tire looked at. Unfortunately my tire was long gone but he gave me the greatest service, got me taken care of in under an hour and provided an unbeatable price! Truly the best service I’ve ever had an an auto center. I usually only go to Telle Tire, but Dobbs in Hampton Village is definitely my new go-to tire place, I will never go anywhere else!

I happen to have some flat tire issues as I was getting home from a long day of work. I called Dobbs since my current tires were purchased through them. Tim was able to walk me through some possible solutions over the phone and offered to fix my tires same day even if I could come in 30 minutes before they closed. I wound up purchasing 4 new tires as my current tires were worn out/flat. He was able to find the right tire for and all my city driving! If you need a good place to go and your located in South City, I highly recommend Tim and his team at Dobbs on Hampton. I got a nail in my tire so I drove to Dobbs. I understand I was a walkin, but they did their best to help me out. They tried to patch it, and when that didn’t work, I came back for a tire from them. Tim and Kevin (from Chippewa location) helped me with the whole experience . They were great Kevin set me up with some good deals for the two tires I needed. Over the phone , He helped me locate the tire number so I could figure out which tire would work best for the car. When I arrived the next day , Tim was über helpful at explaining what was wrong and commended me for coming in to switch them out . Tim also helped w/ understanding the inside of the tire and why the plug wasn’t working . His quick recommendations on other services and rapid installation of the wipers was on point . I have been using Dobbs for 14 years. One of the things that keeps me coming back is their professionalism and their consistency. I have never had an issue with the quality of work they have done on the 4 vehicles I have brought to them. It's hard to find a good mechanic that can work on newer cars. My experience with Dobbs can be summed up this way. The technical expertise of bringing your car to the dealership without paying the dealership price.

I bought the new tire from them and they placed and I was done after an hour or so. Then I asked if they were keeping the tire just because I wanted to keep it for the future. The tire had a nail puncture. And I told them that I went to a place that said they couldn’t fix it and that’s why I had to get a new tire. They went back to check it and they said they can fix/patch the tire. I didn’t ask to patch it and replace it because I already paid for it, it was done and felt bad for the labor. They offered to do that which speaks so highly of them. They are really looking out for you. So they were able to refund me and go back fix the tire and change the tire again. They have amazing customer service and will only get my tires from them.

Needed to get a flat repaired quickly and the Toyota dealer was unable to fit me in. Called ahead to Dobbs and spoke with Tom in service. He said to bring it over and they’d get it done that afternoon. They took the wheel with the flat to see if it could be repaired and told me they’d call me so I didn’t have to wait. Got some errands done in the meantime and heard back quickly that they were able to patch the tire and I could come back to get it changed. Took my 4 year old with me. She was very interested in how they were going to put the wheel back on. Tim and Jerome (store manager) went out of their way to spend time showing her how the lift worked and even let her (very safely, even gave her safety glasses) push the button. It was a a really special experience that she told people about the rest of the day. We then waited in the comfy waiting room, watched football until the work was done. The service team not only patched the tire and put the wheel back on, they also put the hubcap back on and the spare back where it belonged. Tom up front gave me a very helpful assessment of my tire life letting me know I didn’t need a new set for likely 6 months given the current tread. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience made our day and only cost $30. I highly recommend going to Dobbs on Chippewa and Hampton!

The location I go to is Chippewa at Hampton. Feel they are honest and prices average. The best is they stand by their work & quickly want to make it right. The one young man working counter needs to put his cell phone away & not be texting when customers come in for service - he just kept texting, not looking up until I finally asked if he could help me. Otherwise, very pleased. I just expect honesty. And the actual mechanics seem knowledgeable & pleasant. Had gone to Dobbs at another location & that place not so great. Would have an appointment for an oil change days ahead- yet when I get there would have hour & ½ wait till they got my car in. They would say they were working on it - but I could clearly see thru glass NO ONE was near my veh? Had 3 pm appt. Got out at 5:30 & only because I fussed. But, really like the service & folks at Hampton Village location!!!

Tim was so helpful! It was my first visit and he was thorough in his suggestions of what kind of oil I should get. He also said he would check my tires and get me a quote so we could try and plan ahead accordingly. My appt was at 9 and he got me out by 945. He told me everything looked good, on top of the oil change, they rotated my tires and suggested I had about another 10k miles on them. When it came time to ring me up, he said I got the first time visit discount and I walked out of there having not paid a dime. I was in utter shock and disbelief! I am so grateful for their hospitality! I will be singing Dobb’s praises for a very long time and they have got themselves a lifelong customer!

I called Dobbs because my car randomly wouldn’t start. I live behind the building and Tim, one of the employees, walked over in the rain to jump start my car so that I could get it onto their lot. They were able to change my battery in a timely manner, so I waited in the waiting room until my car was ready and I could drive home to get my debit card. I can not say enough good things about this Dobbs location! Jerome and all the guys working were awesome! We are from Springfield, MO. My son took our car up to St. Louis to take care of some things at SLU before attending grad school in the fall. He hit a pot hole and blew out two tires. We had two sets in the garage, so instead of paying for new tires I loaded up a set and drove to St. Louis to have them put them on. Come to find out, I grabbed the wrong set of tires! Needless to say, we felt a little embarrassed. The guys at the shop were nothing but nice. Ended up leaving the car at Dobbs, drove back to Springfield and drove the correct set back to St. Louis the next day. I cannot recommend this location enough! Dobbs did a phenomenal job with my vehicle, and I cannot recommend them more. I came in to get two tires replaced and found out that I had a crack in one of my rims. Quotes, for work are explained and fair at this Dobbs location. Best Dobbs location in the whole Saint Louis area.I had another Dobbs location in South County rip me Said I needed a realignment when I did not. The quote I got from this Dobbs location said NOTHING about needing a realignment because the car needed no such alignment. You have to be able to trust your car mechanics.Good car mechanics are worth their weight in gold in my opinion.An the men bggand women who work here at this Dobbs location are the best .Why else would I drive 50 minutes away.

Excellent customer service and communication from my tires replacement with Tim at Dobbs! We had two tires that blew out and also needed rims replaced because the tire damage was that bad. Tim was awesome with helping me track down some reasonably priced rims and tires. He was super understanding and easy Ayo talk to, and almost made having t2 tires being blown out because of not having enough air not such a bad experience. Tim got me the best deal on a new tire, and made the experience as painless as possible, guaranteeing my return business! I had just bought new tires at the beginning of the year from Chippewa Dobbs and walked out to find a flat yesterday. I have had some small and meticulous car issues in the last two years, and most have resulted in bad or troublesome experiences with various auto companies/customer service. Tim assessed my car and even took the time to not only answer my questions but explain and provide the reasoning behind the possible issues. Due to his upstanding customer service I ended up fixing a few extra things that I probably wouldnt have out of distrust from previous experiences. I would give Tim and Mike six stars if I could! Excellent customer service and quick turnaround time. I had a flat and I came in right before closing yesterday, it was too late in the day to have it looked at. Tim gave me many options on how he could work around my busy schedule including shuttle service. Unfortunately, I was unable to make those options work. Dropped my car off the night before and recieved a call within an hour of them opening the day. Kevin and the other staff there are amazing. Always friendly and always looking out for their customers. I had to get my car back quickly this last time when something urgent came up and they had my vehicle done super quick. On May 1st I was headed back home from getting my car washed in preparation for our 39th Anniversary. On Chippewa near the donut drive-in I hit a large pothole in the curblane I hit it before I realized it was not a patch. Fortunately I was a few blocks from the Chippewa store. I was greeted by the trainee (Sorry I did not remember his name). He was polite asked me what he could do for me. I told him about the pothole and thought I had split the sidewall seal. He said he would check out the damage and tire type and size. Tim the trainer's mentor helped him find the type of tire for my Avalon. They were courteous and professional. I picked up the car with a new tire and at that time there were 3 other customers who had hit potholes that day. Dobb's was busy. My car was covered with pollen nothing Tim or the trainee could prevent. They offered to pay for a refund if I got the car washed. Nice touch. A good way to keep customers

Ryan at the Chippewa Dobbs in St Louis was amazing! We hit a piece of metal driving down the highway and in a matter of minutes our car tire detector indicated the tire was going flat. We pulled into a nearby service station and told it would be hours before they could get to us. We called Dobbs and fortunately for us, Ryan answered the phone. After a long day at work I was exhausted, and I had to stop in a gas station because my dash showed that one of my SUV tire was low in air pressure. So I stopped near the air pressure machine. While checking my tires air pressure, I noticed that one of them had a nail and I could hear the air pressure flowing off from the tire. I checked the time and it was around 6:25pm and saw that all tires businesses were closed (They close at 6:00pm). It was totally unfortunately because that meant that I would have a flat tire in the next few minutes. Asking God for a miracle, and, in an effort of avoiding having a flat tire, I started driving at the Hampton Ave looking for a tire business that could help me. At the corner of Hampton and Chippewa, it was a DOBBS Tire Auto Center; it had the lights on so I approached it with my fingers crossed. It was opened because they were helping another customer. When I approached the front desk the manager told me that it was closed; that they had closed at 6:00pm. It was shocking to see that I lost the last train... However, the store manager Kevin saw my frustration and asked what was the problem, so I explained him that my tire had an air leakage and more likely I would have ended with a flat tire. So I left dragging my feet and full of sadness. Outside, when I was trying to start my SUV, Kevin approached me and said that he needed the keys because they were going to fix my tire! I said "what?!" Kevin repeated that he needed the keys to fix my vehicle! Wow!!! those were the kindness words that I've ever heard in decades... Kevin and his partner Eli had chosen to work even longer to help me out with my situation.... Kevin and Eli gave me one of the greatest gifts that I've ever had, a priceless act of kindness! Now, after having finished dinner at my home, I'd like to say to both of you Kevin and Eli THANKS for being great! You guys love helping others while doing your job! I adore both of you... The discount chain I purchased my tires at did not have locations anywhere near St. Louis, so I wandered into Dobbs. Kevin went above and beyond to help with my original tire road hazard warranty and find me a close match to my current tires at a reasonable price! Had me going again the morning after Christmas. I had been working for months to get my low tire pressure light off. Long story. Got the sensor installed but was told my car was too old for them to program. Their machines couldn’t connect to my elder vehicle. I didn’t know where to turn. Called Dobb’s and Tim Plopper answered. He was friendly and invited me to bring it in right then. A little taken back by the rapid reply I decided to take him up on it. He came out to my car (I didn’t have to pull it in), and used his machine and fixed my car! No more light on! I took my vehicle in for repair and had, on my own, correctly identified the issue (except for the side of the vehicle it was coming from) and gave a detailed description of the symptoms. The store manager called with diagnoses that were not what I had initially suspected was the problem - I asked how they related to the symptoms described (since it wasn't clear to me how the new diagnoses would be causing the symptoms). He was unclear about it. I decided to trust the assessment and pay for repairs since I'm not a mechanic. Unfortunately it didn't resolve the problem I came to them to repair. I dealt with other store employees after I brought my vehicle back - the manager's involvement behind the scenes is unknown to me. I will say that everyone was polite, responsive, and demonstrated great integrity in resolving the issue - I really appreciate how they handled the situation. I hope they perceived the same from me. In the end, they repaired the actual problem at no additional cost; however, I spent $650 more than the actual repair I came in for was going to cost. I am not 100% convinced the initial repairs I paid for were required (if they were, I may well be coming out ahead here - there is just no way to be certain). I am grateful they made the proper diagnosis and repair at no cost (3 stars).

So we've all been to those auto shops where you go in for something simple like an oil change or a new tire, but then they end up telling you that you have hundreds or even thousands of dollars' worth of other problems that must be fixed today. Well, this Dobbs is not like that at all. When I needed a new tire they actually started by asking me what my budget was instead of trying to oversell. No aggressive, slimy sales guys working off commission. Not only did they work within my budget, put they were very professional and quick as well. I came in as a walk-in on a very busy Saturday, and they told me it would be 2 hours because there were several other walk-ins ahead of me, but then they were done in 1.5. I'm used to auto shops saying 2 hours and being 3-4. I had a great experience.

My favorite place to buy tires. The tires come with a great service plan and guarantee. Free rotations and I can get a flat fixed for free, too, along with other free services. I came in here in a vulnerable situation, being from out of town, and the manager who discussed the estimates with me was honest, knowledgeable, and most importantly, forthcoming. But watch out for the kid who works the counter because he has a habit of assuming he knows things which he often has no way of knowing. I got lucky that none of these caused problems for me. For example, I called first to ask if they took phone payments and he said yes. But later the manager said they don't, which could have caused a catastrophe if I had had them do some work. The counter guy also told me that replacing my shocks and struts would eliminate a knocking sound from my front end, but the manager later said it was actually the far less costly sway bar pins making the noise. The problem I came in for turned out to be faulty installation of my exhaust, which did not include a couple of needed sensors. As noted before, the manager guy was very honest and forthcoming in advising me that I could have the sensors put in via a less costly aftermarket type of repair done elsewhere, whereas this place only does factory/OEM repair work and would need to replace the whole exhaust to factory specs. So they treated me very well despite my vulnerable situation and gave solid advice freely, without needing to be grilled.

Usually, the service is great... it was a little late in the day (after 5 pm) when I stopped by to have my car checked; I was in an accident where someone hit me on the back side, so I wanted to make sure the wheels, etc. were ok. Went on a Saturday morning for an oil change and it took about two hours. I didn't mind all that much because I was able to eat breakfast right across the street at McDonald's. Plus there's alot of stores in Hampton Village and of course Target is on the other side. If you don't want to cross a street there is a Walgreens in the adjacent lot that can helps kill some time Althought was a little longer than I would have liked; the staff were super friendly and brought up some future concerns but were not at all pushy in their delivery. All in all it wasn't a bad experience and I plan to return for my maintenance needs.
