This might look like a hole in the wall but it's the best place I've found to buy pull offs (like new tires) they've got a huge selection of tires all sizes and you can get a set of 4 tires mounted and balanced for under 250.00 dollars I got my set for 206.00 dollars you just can't beat that and there service is very fast my set was installed in 15min so I wasn't there long

Best place to buy like new tires.. I got a complete set of 4 like new 17 in Michelin tires for my Dodge Journey. Mounted and balanced for $200 total out of pocket. I didn't even have to get out of the car. I have traveled from Mississippi to Birmingham Alabama to Dales Tires over the past 5 sets of tires in the past 8 years to get my tires. They are always courteous, kind, and helpful. I would definitely recommend Dales Tires to all my friends and family,

They are reasonable and I have talked to other customers who have been coming there for years. I have been coming here for the last 2 years. The only thing is you may have to wait but they will get to you. But their prices are low so sometimes it's better just to get a new tire instead of patching. Depends on where you drive.

Great place to go for anyone looking for quality used tires at reasonable prices. The 2 front tires I received looked brand new and had 85% tread left...service was fast and although they looked super busy, I waited no longer than 20 minutes. I pulled right up to a tech, who immediately asked what he could do, I hopped out, he went to look for the tires in the size I needed and came back a few minutes later and asked if I liked them. Fantastic service! Will return for another set for the rear soon.

Been going here for years. First timers probably need to go with an experienced customer the first time. It's not like any other tire store. They don't answer the phone so you have to go and roll the dice. They usually have a tire or tires that will work. For the price (usually $50 or less) per tire, it's totally worth it.

This place is the place you need to go for tires or tire repair. We had a flat and looked up the closest tire place. We found Dale's online and decided to give a try. Yes, it does look like a place you wouldn't want to stop but don't judge it before you have tried it out. We literally pulled in and asked if they could fix our tire or get a new one if needed. The guy pulled off my tire and was able to patch it right up. It took about 5 mins. Very affordable as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing tires or a tire repair. Remember don't judge the place until you have gave them a try. Very friendly, fast and great service.

We have been buying tires from Dale's for years. The tires are always excellent. The staff is courteous and friendly and usually gets you out in under an hour. This was my first time going there on a Saturday. They were very busy. I purchased two tires mounted and balanced $104 out the door for my 2012 Pilot. You can't beat Dale's!

Was hard to get them to sell them though. 1st day I was too late and the person there said to come back tomorrow (Saturday) got there at noon and really busy so I asked what time they closed and he said 3. Came back at 2 and the same guy said they're closed. Finally got tires on Tuesday and it went smoothly. Overall good deals but be patient if you have to work around a schedule

I love Dales Tires. Yes they are often times busy and there is sometimes a wait to talk to someone in person, but it is only because they have a reputation as the best used tire place in town. Take it like a visit to the Cheesecake Factory, you know there will be a wait but it will be worth it. Just plan ahead of time and expect there to be a wait for service if you try to do it on your lunch break or after work. If it is difficult to get them on the phone, keep trying it is only because they stay busy. Most of the workers are Latino with limited English proficiency, but they are good hard working people who understand enough English to take care of you. When I took my mother's Jeep to get a replacement for her full size spare tire, I was expecting to pay 25 to 35 bucks but the guy said I only needed a plug and he took it off to fix and only charged me 5 bucks. If the guy you get barely understands you he will immediately get one of his guys to translate, even if they are busy doing something else. There are a few places in town with cheaper tires of the same quality, but you are taking a risk because they are in what are considered dangerous parts of town. As a cisgendered heterosexual male, if I had a wife or young kids with cars, I would not want them going to get used tires at any of the places with equal quality but lower prices, I would only want them to go to Dales. If Dales checks up on its Google reviews and are reading this, I would like to suggest putting all of your different tire prices online and maybe having a person who speaks English and Spanish whose only job is to answer the phones and work the counter. There are cheaper places, there are quicker places, there is sometimes a wait to get someone on the phone or in person, but considering these minor drawbacks are because they have a reputation as the best place in Birmingham for use tires, I give them a full 5 stars. Fast, Cheap, Good Quality! Quotes from Walmart Auto and a major tire chain ranged from 500$ to nearly 800$ (for their cheapest options). Tires at Dale's were 150$, total out the door! Not retreds or worn salvage either. These tires look new and are 60k mile tires. From when I pulled in to when I left, less than an hour.

I believe this place was handed down to the son of the original owner. So in a sense it's a family business. He seems to be a good honest businessman with good staff and even better pricing. However they never ever answer the phone due to already having enough business and they are busy. Just literally to busy to answer their phone. I believe the phone is there for emergency purposes only!!!! My phone was set to redial consistently and after 4 days Of calling for 2 weeks I finally just drove down there and spoke face to face. Don't even bother wasting the time to call just grab cash and drive there he does accept debit card and quite possibly credit cards there is a card slide device for payment. Although cash could possibly be the better source of payment. If this business would at least answer their phone one day a week or one hour a day or even had an answering machine to leave message/call back I would have given a nearly unheard of 5th star. Overall good place to do business and he does warrant certain items himself.

Dales is kind of like one of those hidden gems. For used and take off tires, they are the place to go in Birmingham. I've never had a problem with them and have recommended them to several people. Occasionally, the wait can be a little long so I would suggest getting there early if you are in a rush.

I was reccomended by a co-worker ( hall of fame) and he had been told me to go by there. I was very skeptical after the bad review someone made. I went anyway, I will agree with one comment, they are a little disorganized on how they handle the next customer you have to basically pull one of them to the side. You pick your own tire after rejecting 3 that had plugs in them. I was very satisfied. A pair of Goodyear tires for $200 you cant beat that especially for a trailblazer. I would refer more of my friends.

My only issue with is when it comes to your customers who's been waiting for 20-30 minutes wait, those who comes in afterwards got served first. People came in after me today were served before those who was there way before they open. Prices are very reasonable so I don't mind waiting.....for my turn.

Cannot beat these prices!!! Paid $150 for some BF Goodriich Potenzas - 195/70R15 for my Corrolla Paid $200 for some Goodyear Integrity - 225/65R16 for wife's Sienna Fast service but kinda crazy and disorganized with few people who speak English. Only con was that a worker tried to sell me some Futura's and not all 4 were the right size so be careful with your tire selection. You may have to wait a while to get a set of 4 exactly matching tires or you could also get a pair of one brand for the front and another brand for the back if you don't want to wait very long. People I talked to who have used them before said you can return them and they will replace a tire if there is any problem. Always check each tire for plugs before you buy them.
