Love this place! Got a flat about 7 years ago and my tow truck driver recommended them. I've been going ever since. Prices are cheap and service is very quick. My trips for replacement tires usually takes 15 minutes. If you're in need of good used tires, come here. I recommend them highly.

I have had so many problems with my tires in the past, filling up my tires with air was as normal an occurrence as getting gas for a good part of the past 8 years I've had this car. I have replaced tires 10 or more times and the problem persists. Anyway, needless to say I have been to many places for tires. I just discovered this place, and I will say this is the best service I have had anywhere. The quality is better, the price is better, and the job is done quicker. They do the job right in front of you and they do it right. All these other places take the car in back, do a horrible job and then charge you a ton. Then you have to come back in a month because they screwed something up. Anyway, it's good to finally go to a place where things are done right.

This place saved me $400+. I had two nails in my tire and originally went to Mr. Tire in Fairfax, VA. They said since one of the nails was sideways they can't fill it or patch it because it will bubble. Anyways they said it would be best if I get two new tires and alignment. So I said hmmm let me see if I get a gently used tire since my other 3 were barely worn. I came here since they said they had my same brand for $60 or $70 and ended up they fixing my original tire! Both nails were removed and they fixed the tire from the inside and out. I told them I appreciate their honesty and with helping me save money. Highly recommended with good business values.

Really great customer service. I came in thinking I needed a new tire, because I had been to two flat fix spots before and I was still getting a flat tire from a slow leak. The staff suggested we take a look at the rims instead, which turned out to be the problem. They cleaned my rims, and saved me $80. Hugo is really nice and easy to talk to.

Rafael is amazing. Last year, I went to his shop to get a tire patched. The service was so quick and prices so reasonable that I have always gone back when I need tires or tire service of any kind. Rafael is incredibly kind and helpful as well. For example, last week, when I got two new tires installed on my minivan, I casually mentioned that I'd received huge repair estimates (on brakes and suspension) at a local auto repair shop. Upon hearing this, Rafael took it upon himself to help me find the parts I needed and coordinated with a different shop nearby to get the work done at a fraction of the cost. He is truly one of a kind. Bring him your business--you will be glad you did!

I had to get on the road to travel to GA and he got me out the way so quick and he was very pleasant. After I read all the positive reviews (pretty much all are positive), I went to Automotive Express Used Tires. Raphael received me warmly and offered me options, suggesting to put new tires on the front, while changing the used front tires to the back (they can still last long on the back). There was some extra waiting time because I was there early and they needed to have a meeting at the beginning of the day. The work was done professionally and efficiently, so I was satisfied. I'll definitely go back if I need tires again, but hopefully not any time soon!

Recently did a patch for me. Quick, friendly, straightforward, and reasonable pricing. Service quality was good. I’ll go here again next time I need something tire related. It was a nice day so I stayed outside and they worked on the vehicle out front. I can’t say if there is a waiting room if you need to wait inside. I suspect there is.

Had a bubble on my tire and had to get it fixed in a hurry due to the likelihood of a blowout. I googled Used tires and found this place and had to check it out due to the countless high ratings from previous customers. I am so glad I found this place. I was in and out in 30 minutes, and the staff was pleasant and friendly. It was a little difficult to know where to go to check out the tire selection, but one of the employees approached me and guided me on the process and let me know i only needed my front 2 tires replaced, even though I was planning to get all 4 done. I appreciated the honesty and the price I got on 2 NEW tires was incredible!! I will definitely return anytime I am in need of tires!!

Tried out Automotive Express after reading all of the great reviews on Google. The shop is very simple, but Rafael and his crew were great. After determining that I only needed one tire, Rafael took me to the back and showed me what he had available, and my almost new tire was installed in just a few minutes. But there were two things that really impressed me: 1) As I was literally in my car and driving away, Rafael flagged me down to let me know that I had a third brake light out. Had one of his crew run into the shop and replaced my light free of charge. 2) I went online to check what the tire I chose retails for. To my surprise I saved nearly $120 on just one tire! Three hardworking guys that just do tires, with prices for everything posted on the wall. They let you look at the tires and give you a price (a great price for me). No waiting room, you just stand around and watch them do the work. I was in and out within 15 minutes, and got two used tires (lightly used) put on for $100. Great workmanship and cheap tires. I came in at the end of the business day looking for a good deal on a new tire after one of my front tires took some damage to the sidewall. Rafael looked up the manufacturer's tire, then helped me find two cheaper options for better (higher tread) tires. Although they were cheaper and better, if I got them I would have to replace both of the front tires to keep them uniform. Rafael encouraged me to get the higher-tread tire since he thought the mfr's tire tread was too low. I decided to go with his recommendation and ordered the cheaper of the two options. I got two better new tires for $190 vs. one mfr's tire for $120. Rafael had the tires for me by mid-day the next day, but surprised me with higher-tread tires than what I had ordered, the Falken Sincera SN211. He was able to get them for me for the same price, $190, since he would be getting my other good front tire out of the deal (He didn't tell me beforehand he was counting on being able to keep that one--I had expected to keep it as a spare. He should have mentioned it beforehand, but with the better tire tread it worked out to a fair deal, so I agreed, and was glad to get the higher tread.) While mounting the new tires, his crew discovered the wheel with the damaged front tire also had a bent rim. Instead of trying to sell me a new rim, he offered to switch the bent front rim with a rear rim, since the bend wouldn't cause trouble back there. The crew took off the rear one from the same side only to discover it was bent too--apparently one of the potholes I hit did not agree with my car at all! The crew took off the other rear wheel to see if its rim was undamaged. It was, fortunately, so that rim was put up front and both of the bent rims were put in the back. Rafael mentioned beforehand that the extra labor for switching the rims would cost about $20 extra, but when we sat down to settle up, he decided to stick with his original quote of $190, even though it turned out to be even more extra labor than he expected with the musical chairs of tires and rims. Rafael is eager to give you a good deal and make you a happy customer. He's more interested in building a good reputation and good relationships with customers than in making a quick buck--a great businessman to work with. I hope he fixes the broken windows above his shop--he's running an efficient, competent, and honest operation, and those don't do justice to the quality of he and his crew's work. Hoping his shop goes far!

I found Automotive Express and tried them because of the reviews because I was uneasy about buying used tires. When she showed up, Rafael met her at the car. Noticing we have two small children, he offered for her to stay in the car while he changed the tire. Wy wife was ecstatic! Do not let the old building deter you. This is a quality vendor. Rafael (the owner) is courteous and professional and his team works quickly and effectively. After they replaced a blown tire for me, I noticed continuing problems with the front axle. Rafael helped me to figure out what the problem was and followed the progress of the repairs I had done by another shop, even though it had nothing to do with the tire. This is now the only place I will go for tire service.

Love this place. Sad we're moving away and I'll have to find another trustworthy mechanic. After a service at Sears last year to tune up and adjust/replace some worn parts costing me $650, I wasn't very happy with the overpriced results. I brought my car into Automotive Express for an oil change about a month ago and Manny told me my drive belt needed replacing (which I knew, my car was whistling on startup), and a list of other fixes. I feared I would have to spend another $600 on my car. When I brought it in, not only did he honestly tell me what did and didn't need to be fixed, but I only wound up spending $136. They work in tandem with their tire/autobody shop across the street and the guys there are helpful too. They charge next to nothing for labor and are straight up about what you need to do. Very friendly staff, honest and no B.S. I have never felt that they are trying to rip me off in any way and my car is running like a dream. Bonus, if you have a dog. Shirlington dog park is at the end of the street. So if you're going in for a quick tune up or oil change, you can bring your dog and kill the hour at the dog park. There is also a new brewery just down the block and Shirlington village is a short walk.

This is the best tire service store in the entire Northern Virginia area. Service is swift and professionally done. Both new and used tires are available at very reasonable prices. If you've been wondering where all of the hustle and efficiently at the movie theater concession stands has gone, I can finally answer that question for you. It is all concentrated here at a tire shop near Shirlington. Give these folks a try - you'll be favorably impressed!

Best thing that happened to me in a while. A flat tire. That's right, a flat tire on a Subaru. Why is this the best thing? Well after changing my tire to the donut spare I was seeking out place to get me a tire or 4 to tide me over until I traded my car in. I came across this outfit and they are near me, so i called them up. Rafael said come on over and he would take great care of me. He certainly did. Once we decided on a course of action, I ended up with great used tires and mounted and everything. Rafael says he likes to help folks out and he certainly does. While his crew took care of the tires the subject of other maintenance and car issues naturally came up. Not only was he able to hook me up with safe nice used tires, with a couple of phone calls he set up a solution for my catalytic converter on the current car and some body work on my wifes car. Will be getting that all set soon. So, in short, it is wonderful and refreshing to have an outfit like Automotive Express, who are honest, look after their customers, and solve problems. It has been a long time since I have found a place that won't leave you feeling hosed. These guys are top notch. Since this original review, I have been back here several times for various tire issues, and other things with my car and van that needed solving. Being treated well and taken care of is getting rarer and rarer these days. Being greeted as a valued client is wonderful, especially, since each time I get shafted at the dealership for my van. Rafael and his many contacts in the automotive community of 4 mile run have taken car of all manner of issues. I am never gouged and always treated fairly and honestly. You may not have a gorgeous waiting room with wifi, but what you get is down to earth garage that handles all your issues one way or another.

JOSE is the best. I brought in on a piece of paper, the size tires I needed and gave it to Jose. He immediately said he had the size and took me back to the tire racks so I could pick the out the tires myself. I was a little picky and wanted the two tires to match, i.e. same tire company, and Jose looked thru them all, took them off the racks so I could see for myself and let me pick them out myself. I was in and out in 15-20 minutes. I told Raphael the only reason I came was because of all these great rating and he said if I gave him a great rating too, he would knock off $10.00 from the total price. HOW NICE. So here you go Raphael. GREAT service from you and Jose. Really appreciate not being riped off because I am a woman. I will be back. HIGHLY recommend getting your used tires here. I paid $55.00 per tire, half price as what I would pay in a store. They even balanced the tires too.

$10 + 5 minute minor tire repair! But they did try to push a used tire on me for $55, even putting it on my car..perhaps misunderstanding my English. They didn't speak a lot of English like the guy on the phone...so I guess he's their Phone Guy. Be ready to explain things 3 times and kinda monitor what's going on/being put on your car. Still, I'd return.

I am back to the store a month later, because the two used tyres I bought here are leaking (someone stopped and told me ,while driving, I have flat tyres)They said the problem is because of old rims and that I need to buy them for $45 each. I then asked if they could clean them instead, and the guy said it willl be $25 each....last price! I was a little upset because if the old rims could be a problem, I felt they should have told me when they sold me tyres a month ago, instead of having to come back with flat tyres. Guess what? I found Automotive Express online and decided to give them a call for a price quote on a used tire. I spoke with Rafael who gave me an out the door quote of $50. When I showed up, the used tire he found was actullly a bit more than what he quoted, however because he quoted me the $50 over the phone, that was all I paid. I researched and called several other used tire businesses to get price quotes and Automotive Express was the most helpful and had the best price. Rafael made me feel at home. The used tire looked brand new and in fantastic condition. He took care of changing the tire, rotating the other tires, and balaning them all in about 10minutes. Although I live in Woodbridge I will be making the trip to Arlington when I decide to get new tires! Very impressed with the quality of service, work ethic and level professionalism!

Don't judge from the looks on the outside! Went there to get a screw removed from my tire and get a patch in place. They removed the screw and realized the screw was short enough where a patch was unnecessary. The put the tire back on the rim, filled it up with air, and didn't charge me anything. They could have easily not told me about the screw not puncturing the tire and put a patch on anywat but they didn't, wonderful place!
