This is the most professionally run tire shop in the city. Heck, it's one of the best run businesses in the city. I came in on a Friday afternoon, 5 minutes to close, to pick up my trailer and there was a fault unrelated to the tire replacement that took a few hours to diagnose. To make a long story short, Tanner and Emmanuel, along with the help of Tanners Father, the owner of KJC cabinetry and Walter from Ram motors all showed up after hours on a Friday night to help me with my problem. Balloon Fiesta was the next day and I didn't think I was going to be able to participate but these guys worked tirelessly until they got me back on the road. I've lived all over the country and grew up in Albuquerque and you just don't see this kind of customer service and genuine human concern for another's plight. I will be taking my current any future vehicles to this shop for good. This is an incredible well run business with people who actually care. Thanks you guys! You made Fiesta possible and I am eternally grateful! And special thanks to Tanner for being such a respectable man and taking me all over town, after hours, to find a battery replacement for my trailer.

We are on a long road trip. While in Santa Fe, NM we got a nail in a tire. The Discount Tire in Santa Fe determined the 7 month old tire was not repairable. (Nail on the shoulder of the tire tread.) The Santa Fe store did not have a replacement tire in stock and would not be able to get one by our departure the next day. They contacted the Discount Tire nearest our trip through Albuquerque on our way to Las Vegas. The Albuquerque did have the tire we needed. The Santa Fe store put on our temporary spare and gave us all the info we needed to get the replacement tire at the Albuquerque store. We arrived at 8 am and Tanner and his crew (young woman technician) got us back on the road in 20 minutes. They gave us a break on the replacement tire cost since it had only a small amount of wear. The only thing that could have made this any better was that the Santa Fe store failed to tell me that the spare tire does not have a pressure sensor. I had to do a Google search to learn that the dashboard warning about tire pressure is normal when driving on a temporary spare. I'm grateful to Discount Tire stores for making sure our travel was delayed as little possible. We also had quick service from the Discount Tire in Austin, TX for a tire rotation earlier in the trip. I'll keep using this company as they seem to hire people who really care for customers.

In years past, we would've given this location 5 stars. But, that hasn't been our experience this year. Yes, the front service staff are courteous and professional. But, the team that does the actual tire work made multiple errors on our last tire job - across several visits (installed defective tires, put tires on backwards, didn't inflate tires equally). I realize they are likely short-staffed. But, not having adequate safety checks and tech staff training in place to prevent these risks to customers is inexcusable. The experience has left us hypersensitive to what's happening with our vehicle and potential risks to our safety on the highways. Also, they didn't fully honor the veteran discount and only took a few bucks (less than $10) off a PREMIUM tire purchase (over $1000). They wouldn't work with us in any other way and the veteran discount offer is clearly not a reliable 5% off offer. Between the sloppy installations, the manager's 'throw us a bare bone' veteran discount, the multiple visits to rectify all the problems/hours and hours of time wasted, we will think twice about this location for our next tire job. Really bummed that this is another business location that seems to be falling down.

I love this place! I went to pretty much every hole in the wall and big name tire store in town this week. Not a single person was as helpful and polite as Tanner was. Got me taken care of fast! I would recommend this store over any other in the city hands down. And I’m pretty picky.

Free air checks! Great service. I was happy to go there for this. But don't go there if you have a dually truck. They don't have a dually air chuck in the entire facility! The gentleman helping me asked if I had an adaptor. As a matter of fact I did! I keep a dually air chuck with me that snaps on to my air compressor hose. I offered it to them but the gentleman helping me said he'd have to cut his air hose in order to use my air chuck. It's got a standard air hose snap-on connector so I'm not sure what he meant by having to cut the air hose.

These guys are incredible! They helped us out quickly and were super professional absolutely amazing that this kind of service still exists. They pulled off a tire fixed a flat in it for free recommended that we change two front tires soon. You bet I’ll be back when I need to buy tires and get them from these guys. Top notch!

Have bought new rims as well as several sets of tires from discount. They are pretty efficient and are pretty on point with your appointment time. I drop vehicles off at the appointment time, they call me when they are done. Pretty simple process. Also went in and made an appointment to rotate and balance a aet of tires i had bought from them and when i went to pick up the vehicle they said it was free of charge! Appreciate that! I also have a dually pick up and they were able to accommodate tires for that as well. Thanks Discount.

Went in with a screw in my tire waited 45 to even be acknowledged then was told its fine pulled the screw out over inflated all of my tires and was told good to go! Got 2 blocks away and tire went flat! Put my spare on and went to tje location paseo where it was found that screw did go all all the way threw and needed a new tire!

I have been going to Discount Tire for years, this past experience was lacking the usual service. I went in on Saturday at 8am with a flat, first off I didn’t have an appointment, so that is on me. I had the certificate for my tire so the price and the kid ringing me up was good. They didn’t have a new tire in stock so had to get it from Menaul store. Kid estimated it would be done by 3 It was just a flat I had a spare so cool Waited until 3 no call or text. So I called them waited on hold for10 mins before they answered, then only to get out on hold again, it’s Saturday before holiday I get it it was busy. I was on hold another 15 mins before I hung up, never came back to say hey I didn’t forget you we’ just busy. Flash to 430 when I call again and the dude says they haven’t even started my tire. So I say I will be there on Monday morning, he says sure first thing we’ll have it for you. Go in Monday at 830 To get the tire. It still wasn’t done I had to wait about another 30 mins. And then the manager in charge says “ it’s done. Are we going to be putting in on for you?” In a tone like “really? You want us to put it on?” I said no I would like it before thanksgiving. This store was by far the worst for service I have experienced, since I stopped going to Big-O 20 years ago So my advice is if you go to Paseo with a flat repair, better have an appointment in an emergency or you will be left waiting

Was in and out in a short time and the tires I purchased are awesome! While I was there, I was able to listen to other customer conversations and I was super happy with how every single assosiate there is professional and extreamly helpful. This store is a bit out of my way but I will definitely be coming back for regular balancing and rotating. Keep up the great work!

I wrecked a tire on my F150 2 hrs into a 600 mile road trip. Stopped in at this Discount Tire and my day got better. Clean waiting area with WiFi. The tires on the truck were about 80% gone so I replaced the set. Jon at the service counter was great to deal with. They had the Michelin tires I’d been looking at and I was out of there in an hour and 15 minutes. Being an old mechanic I watched the service techs and was impressed with how they did their work efficiently and correctly - they even cleaned the mating surface between the wheel and hub, balanced my spare and put it back under the bed.

I stopped in just before 5:30 this evening to get an air check on all tires. I drove up and waited less than 10 minutes before a tech waved me down. The gentleman proceeded to check all 4 tires and let me know I have a screw in my right rear tire. He told me to go on in and they could probably fit me in right away which was just what they did! I waited maybe 15 minutes and my car was ready! I was very impressed considering all lanes were busy with cars. Thank you guys for the excellent service!

Here’s the issue, 440.00 online tire prices end up at 664.00 out the door. I’m sure there are several lines of tiny print I’m missing as to additional costs, but it really doesn’t feel good.

Best place to buy tires! all the time - anytime. These folks are absolutely the best at standing behind their tires and taking care of you if they get damaged by a road hazard. I bought a full set a tires here about a year ago and one of them was ruined by a roofing screw. They replaced it at no charge. I had to buy one other tire for the opposing wheel (on the same axle) but that’s it. I’v been coming here for 20 years and they always take excellent care of me!

Was difficult to get scheduled in. I asked to keep a new tire that I had just bought 2 months before replacing all 4 tires with discount tire. They said yes but my tire was not in my trunk. Upon asking I was told that the person who replaced my tires was out for the rest of the day. I tired calling when they said this employee would be back in but the lines were busy. Tried again on another day. Still no answer. Pretty sure I'm not going to get that tire back.

Great and very pleasant staff. Helpful with any question(s) you might have. Just be ready to wait a bit, usually about 45 minutes, which is understandable due to the nature of their work. Scheduling an appointment is also very helpful.

Have been to this location twice and it is my new favorite location for friendly, reliable tire service. Today I had an issue with my reservation (probably my fault), but Hollis did a great job of solving the problem for me (and Alex the technician did a good job on the tire repair and rotation). Highly recommended, both times we have been here I have left feeling happy. PS, the COVID precautions were being followed very carefully, to the point they allowed some drivers to pull the car in and out rather than have an employee enter the car.

I've used American/Discount Tire for years in California. After moving back to the Albuquerque area last year, I developed an issue with one of my tires I bought from a Chevy dealership. Took it in and even though I didn't buy this set of tires from them they found an issue with one and fixed it for free. Just like in California the employees are top notch at this location also. Next set of tires I get will be from this location and I won't make the mistake of buying tires from a dealership again.

I recently got new rear tires for my van. I made an appointment to minimize wait time. The process went smoothly. my questions were a answered and I got sound advise, not sales pressure. Everyone very nice, good covid procedures, whole process completed in less than an hour. Mando was particularly helpful. He went far beyond the extra mile to help solve a particular problem regarding spare tire compartment access. There is a high bar for quality customer service here and I highly recommend them.

We had our 2017 Subaru Outback serviced during a cross country trip and discovered we had a nail in one of our tires, in the wall making it impossible to patch. These are fairly new tires, tread at 8/32 so the thought of having to buy 4 new tires was not pleasant. On the advice of a local service coordinator, I contacted Discount Tires and spoke with Tony. Had a blowout at night. Got there at open the next day. We were greeted and served promptly when they opened. They predicted 45 minutes to replace two tires and finished in 30. Price was fair. I get most of my tire work done at Discount Tire and this location had the fastest, best service I have ever had at one.

I don't think they are always the least expensive but their costumer service is tough to beat. They want my business and I appreciate the sincerity. No complaints here! Discount Tire is a really great place to get tires first their prices are really very good and very competitive with other tire companies. Also the car I brought in to have tires put on I don't intend to have it for very long but I needed 2 new tires. I was very impressed when I was not pressured into buying 4 new tires for the car when the back tires were in good shape and only the front tires needed to be replaced.

The staff here are professional and courteous. They provide good deals on their tires and the best after-purchase/warranty care in the industry. I recommend you make an appointment a day or so in advance to avoid a possible long waiting period. Free coffee and bottled water for customers; clean restrooms and comfortable waiting-area seating with plenty of interesting magazines to browse. Walk to Walgreens across the street, or check out the nearby Jason Deli or Domino pizza if you get hungry or bored.

Every single time I have come to this location I have received the best customer service ever. I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to cars but each employee carefully takes the time to explore what I need based on my driving style. I have never felt pushed or forced into anything and I always leave feeling like I received the best option available to me. I called in the morning to see if I could stop by to get my tires changed after work. These guys actually stayed after closing time to make sure I got my car back that night. I was blown away. I'm going to be moving in the next month but I will for sure stick with the Discount Tire family. Thanks you guys!

Out of state guy highly impressed. Bringing back a trailer from LasCruces to North Dakota I blew a tire in Albuquerque. Mike and his crew where amazing. Pretty fast at their job. They try to get as much information on your vehicle as possible. Even when they are busy they try to compensate for their customers. The only reason for 4 stars is the lack of knowledge for some services that are available/advertised. Had some problems with employees arguing about that......until a manager corrected them. The customer service is pretty good and the wait times are varied by the service provided. Also, those who are looking for pricing on tires....they can compare prices and give a cheaper value. Above and beyond service here came in with a punctured tire needed a new one. they gave me such a great deal. The salesman worked with me on finding me what suited my very tiny budget. Outstanding service! I was heading out on a road trip and in need of some tires. I've used discount before but the salesman at this location went way above and beyond to search for exactly what I needed and even got them at a discount since they were being phased out. I know a lot of the salesman tricks but this was genuine care for a customer and I really appreciate the time and effort he put in to make sure I got exactly what I needed. Service You Can Count On! I've never provided a business review online, and rarely even say anything about a company's service unless the taste in my mouth is so bad I have to spit it out. However, I'm compelled to publicly thank Discount Tire on Paseo Del Norte. Purchased a set of mid-range tires there last year, at a very reasonable price, and have been quite satisfied with the performance - today I am even more impressed! A couple of weeks ago I walked out of the mall only to find my passenger rear tire flat, so I picked up a fix-a-flat, injected into the tire, and went about my way. Had thoughts about having the flat fixed, especially after getting on the highway and noticing a significant vibration, but don't drive much and chose to just drive with the fix-a-flat since it as holding air. Then this morning, after the burst of cold air and snow here in Albuquerque, I noticed my tire was again nearly flat. Called Discount Tire, they quickly made me an appointment, and 30 minutes after arriving at their location I drove away with the flat repaired and my tires balanced - and was not charged a dime! Thank you for the outstanding service, I'll certainly share my experience with anyone I know in the market for tires, and you can be sure I'll never buy tires anywhere but Discount Tire! Mark L. Love this location!!!! I never have any issues, except it was a good idea to set an appointment pre-covid. Today I had some lugnuts that were totally stuck and Big O couldn't remove them to check my brakes. Discount Tires had absolutely no problem taking the lugnuts off and replacing them!! They saved me so much more money because I would run the risk of breaking studs if Big O kept messing with it. Thank you so much guys!!!!!! 💯

Visited the Discount Tire on Paseo Del Norte this morning. I had an Arizonian II tire with approximately 30k miles that went soft yesterday. Service was prompt, and as usual flat tires need to be replaced ( not reparable or safe). Arizonian tires are advertised to be good for 66 thousand miles. All of mine will be replaced well before expected life span through replacement.

I was in this morning to get two Pirelli Cinturato P7s replaced. From the point of arrival with curbside check-in, I was pleased with the COVID adaptations that have been implemented! Now that they have altered their scheduling system to keep capacity lower, the overall wait time feels like it’s been cut in half! And if you’re comfortable with it, you can pull your own car into the service bay and stay inside while they get their work done. I definitely preferred being able to just stay in my car and drink my coffee vs. having to be in an uncomfortable waiting room. I’ll definitely be willing to go out of my way to come back to this specific location in the future. 10/10 recommend!! 🙌🏻

In March I went in for another free rotation for tires I had bought less than three years earlier. The service technician said the tires were needing replaced and since they were still under warranty I got 4 new tires for a small fraction of the cost of new full price. I went in yesterday with one of the tires loosing air. They found a screw in the tire and made the repair and balanced the tire. He said even though the tires don’t have a lot of mileage on them they needed rotated due to the front ones wearing more than the rear. So They rotated the tires as well. Got me out of there in about 30 minutes with the always exceptional service Discount Tire provides. Thanks Joshua and Discount Tire.

My go to tire place. The service and staff are the best. Girls tire got a stew in it and was going flat so I told her to rush over to Discount tire. She didn't have the money for a new one and the screw was on the top side so the tire had to be replaced. Discount put the spare on for her for no charge. This place is the best tire shop ever. I went to get my tires rotated and balanced well found out I had 2 tires that were compromised. Well I simply didn't have the money to buy 2 new tires. They just gave them to me. Couldn't believe it. They were more concerned for my safety than the money. Well I did go back and give TJ a 100 dollar gift card when I was back on my feet. And bought the other 2 matching tires. And he still didn't charge me for the other 2 tires. So thank you TJ. I'm a customer for life now.

Upgrading to 3 for tire insurance program but they still have issues with things like sending people off with aired up bad tires vs putting on spare and other programs from past experience im not fond of. Don't do the financing deals they push if you dont have to. They always seem to have some deal going on to help save money on a tire set. They make it sound like its a real easy way to finance with their bank program and save some money if you pay in 6 months (I get it, some people make the minimum payment mistake and the bank/DT profits, thats fine) but it was really a credit card they had you signed up for and there was no easy way to pay online without giving all your bank account info. I was told in store that I could pay online with a credit card and even use the rebate gift cards (nope that seems wrong, at least on the synchrony site, I'm calling tomorrow during open hours). I would have rather just paid on site with my current credit card and not have a laundry list of tasks to do to cancel this unwanted one. I'm still waiting for the 'rebates' that were said to take a few business days (on 10 now) and now have to pay the card off so I can cancel the thing. It was explained as something that was over when you paid it off. I'm sure there are all sorts of hidden fees that will come with the card after a year of ownership and am hoping that paying it off before the 6 month timeline doesn't have some other consequence. Very shady guys, I hope the employee perks for pushing the program is worth it. Doubt I will return to the company which is unfortunate as I've always liked the service but I don't trust them anymore and know there are plenty of other businesses to work with.

Always friendly and prompt service. This location seems to be on the busier side whenever I come but it's usually 1-2 hour wait. They have bathrooms and magazines to help pass the time.
