Reviews of Crossroads Trading
Casey
More expensive than most thrift stores, but the selection is spectacular and definitely vetted. You can sell clothes here instead of just donate which explains the cost. I didn't see any shirt or tank top under 16.50$ and a lot of items around 23$. Dressing rooms open with and 8 item limit. Busy, but the line moved fast. Had a lot of fun and wish I had more time (and money) to shop! Will definitely be back.

Sold some of my clothes here today. Glad I put my name on the waiting list through their app, because there is a line for people waiting to sell stuffs even in the weekday afternoon. The staffs are very friendly, they took some of my items, I had a nice sweater but they said they can’t take more sweaters since they already have too many in the store. You can choose between 30% cash out or 50% store credits.

Clothes reselling is decent here. Avg $6-$12 per item, cash. Twice as much in store credit, if you're into that. Make sure you're bringing in clothes appropriate for the season, and higher end clothing, so you can bring the best possible payout. Nice buyers, most of the time. Shout-out to Marci! Sign up to sell on the Crossroads app in both app stores and you can watch the line. Then you get a fifteen minute call out if you are still on your way when they call. But be on time, clothes clean, folded nicely, and anyone will be super nice here

Fantastic place to purchase gently reused high quality name brands. Crossroads also purchases good condition name brands for 30% value cash or 50% store credit. They are very picky about what they accept which leads to great items in the store. My treasured find: perfect condition Betsy Johnson shoes for $22!!
Torrance Atkinson
Loved the staff there. They were super helpful and amazing. Atmosphere was relaxing as well, whoever had control of the Playlist need a raise.

The costumer service is excellent! This review is both for the store and for their associate Lolita! I called ahead and asked them to hold an item for me (if it was still there). Lolita was super helpful! In addition to my item on hold I also got 3 other wonderful pieces that are generally high-end for like a 80 discount!!!! I love this store, I cannot believe I have been sleeping on it this long!
Skyler O'Connor
An awesome thrifty stop. Some of the items are a little pricey as it's a consignment store, but there were definitely some steals in there, too!

Came here once to sell some items I was not using. The employees seemed like they really wanted to rush me out of the store. I had brought several items and what stood out to me was how one of the items I had brought was a brand new, worn for only an hour or two months ago, sundress from nyexchange, and definitely in style. They ended up wanting to buy a cheesy hat that had a cat face and ears on it but rejected the dress saying it was too worn…lol. I’ve talked to others about this experience and they’ve said that they tend to find this store isn’t the best for people looking to sell. For the prices they give you it just isn’t worth it. Good on them for unionizing though.

I love this thrift store! Will be my new go to for clothes as well. I will agree with most reviewers on them being pricey but I think it makes sense considering a LOT of these clothes are name brand and popular and are discounted HIGHLY here (for most pieces). Some people need to think that this store also has to pay bills and they are in a very expensive area so they obviously have to make some money someway. I love the selection here and there's so much to find!
Elias Lee
Great selection of apparel, shoes bags and accessories. I always find something much needed for my wardrobe. Plus you can make some extra cash or store credit selling items of yours to them; which, is generally easy and quick.
Emma Frost
I find something incredible every time I stop by. dangerous for my bank account, incredible for my heart. I go here for gender affirming stuff
Tony Tate
Got a nice all cotton heavy sweater for 13 bucks. Someday I hope to use it as I live in a very hot climate
LeeAnn Jarrett
Amazing professional customer service and kindness. Thank you, especially, "Darby P." and "Emilia" for making me feel as if my situation was important to them. Now...on to the store it's self....fabulous selection (plan on spending at least half a day there☺️), wonderful customer service and reasonable prices. If you miss shopping there...you miss one of the best shopping experiences in all of Seattle!!!

I moved to Seattle in June. This place is right up the street from me. I'm not sure why I didn't go in sooner. This place is awesome. It's a bit pricier than your typical good will type thrift store cause I guess they're buying from the public rather than taking donates. But regardless, the type of clothes here are so much better than other thrift stores I've been to in the area. I'm really happy with the pieces they had. Plus all the employees were super friendly. I'm hoping that never have to buy new ever again thanks to Crossroads. I love shopping local and being able to try on a bunch of different brands all in one place.
Midhat Zafar Khan
Pretty expensive for used clothing, you'll find good finds once every 3 to 4 visits!
S G
The staff is always so nice and I find a nice mix of clothes I like there only down fall.... 40$ for a used coat jeans 30 , definitely a little steep for my liking. But they always have clothing pieces im interested in
Anonymity Moon
Great place to sell! I like so much more than platos. Fair pricing and great selection. They were fair in buying as well. The associates are all so friendly! Will definitely recommend!!!
Sofía Arboleda
Honestly it's the best thrift store I've been to so far in the area! Great selection, well-organised and friendly staff :) will definitely come back
Arthur Marker
Prices are quite high but you might find a good deal here and there. If you don’t have any luck here try the Lifelong Thrift Store across the road
Drew lleB
Best selection I've seen for a secondhand store. My gf found some basically brand new af1s still had the box!
They also give really good rates for buying most clothes that you'd otherwise drop at goodwill for nothing. Out of 3 boxes and one bag of shoes we only sold 1 box and bags worth of stuff but it was worth over 250 cash or 380 store credit🤑
Cathy K
Was my lucky day, came across local “Gringo Trading” jacket made in Ecuador when I walked in. Probably my favorite jacket ever. Prices are fair to expensive compared to goodwill or other similar stores but I think quality and selection justifies it. Definitely would come back during another trip to Seattle. Service is friendly
Christine Doan
Great selection in apparel & accessories. Wish they had more boots & sunglasses though. I did manage to find a floral summer top for half off! A lot of activewear. Friendly cashiers. One of them helped with directions since Googlemaps froze on me.
Winter Sterling
If you stop by every two months or so, it's a great thrift retailer. They do have a lot of different styles and trends to choose from.
But I personally wouldn't visit any more than that. I used to stop in weekly, only to find they pretty much had the exact same clothing stock for almost two months. If you want fresh variety, go to Buffalo Exchange in Ballard
Lizzie Gilmore
Went in and thought they had a lot of the more current trends. Fair prices on most clothes and even got to try on some. Almost everyone was wearing a mask, so that was great! Friendly faces when you walk in. Will be going again.
Hannah Colwell
I have sold clothing here as well as purchased used clothing here. As a buyer: I love the selection and can usually find some great pieces. Not as cheap as a traditional thrift store, but they have a more curated selection so it is reasonable and still cheap for the quality and selection they have available. As a seller: I can definitely get frustrated when I have new or brand name clothing that is passed on, especially when you feel like it is nicer than some of the stuff being sold in the store. However, anytime I have questions about why they passed on an item, they are usually pretty helpful and willing to answer my questions in detail. Overall, I've had pretty good experiences here!
Mya Grace
I always find something perfect that fits my style every time I go here. It takes a little bit of digging, but the prices are fair, especially since a lot of the items still have brand tags and don't have any flaws, even the vintage merch. I haven't seen any employees out on the floor when I'm there, but that's okay because the place is always tidy and they're at the front if you need them. No dressing rooms right now, but you can try on shoes. I even found a highly popular vintage Tripp skirt here for $16, which is a steal compared to Depop. New Docs for $46, too. Honestly, this place is perfect and I'd go here all the time if it weren't out of the way for me. Crossroads is what Buffalo Exchange wishes it could be. However, there also tends to be a lot of homeless along the street, so if you're walking here, beware. Otherwise it's worth the trip.
Mei Fu Lee
This place is definitely a lot more pricier than most thrift stores. But they do have some good deals on some clothes. They do have a wide variety of clothes and it wasn't too messy inside. The clothes were also in pretty good condition. It seemed like a lot of people were working, either at the register, fitting rooms, or cleaning up clothes. However, the men's section was relatively small compared to all the women's clothes. The fitting rooms were pretty small and dark. I would probably come back here to search for good deals, but don't expect it to be super super cheap.
Cynthia s Nelson
Love this store, I can find something always. I love to bring old clothes and then my shopping is super cheap with a trade-in.
Tyr
The staff are always helpful, quirky, and charming. As a bit of a weirdo, at least in how I dress, I can say Crossroads always has something for me that's a little bit different and generally for a good price. They aren't dumb, they price brands and high quality pieces appropriately, but they never are unreasonable prices just what the item is worth used. If a piece has a minor defect or stain it's typically discounted and sold as is, and if you find something that's damaged and full price they're typically willing to work with you to find a reasonable markdown. Overall, it's not a bin trawling kind of place, but not an overpriced vintage shop either Crossroads walks a middle ground of decently priced quality secondhand clothes.
I just got a full outfit suitable for a wedding (like I would have wedding clothes already, as if) there for a little over $60 and I feel like I got my monies worth!
Candace Gnyp
I come here often I love this store. Today a man named Sinti went out of his way to help me at the register. He was patient and very helpful while I was indecisive. Thank you for being a great thrift store and thenk you for having a great employee.
Heather A Adams
Don’t get but hurt when they don’t buy your clothes! Check their tips and suggestions before you go. Pretty good selection, besides the 30% of items from H&M and F21, but not super exciting prices.
Nicole Durango
Efficient, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I happily do business here with selling my clothes that I no longer use. And I love that they’ve given me the option to mail a check, since I live out of town. Also doing the extra step of donating clothes that aren’t purchased for you... you honestly can’t go wrong here.
Av
Kristina at the selling counter was very efficient, going through 3 large bags in 30mins. Very great trade to cash ratio! Sierra the cashier was courteous and also had a great smile! All the staff were great, the place is clean and organized. The security guard, well let's just say that if something went down would he actually do something? Overall great experience as always!
Danny G.
Solid spot to shop to get used gear at good prices. People were pretty friendly as well. Not that it affects my review of the store but the “living wage tax” they add on is kind of a turn off. While i appreciate the point behind it Just add it into the price of clothes rather than adding it in at the end. Already enough taxes worked in from the state and city I don’t want to have to guess what other penalty I’ll get the more I buy in form of a tax. Just my thoughts.
Maple Leung
Have been here both to buy and sell. Staff are friendly and nice. Great selection of clothes and well organized. Line up for check out can take a while. Prices are fair and reasonable and it's always a joy to visit! I think the best deals are on the jeans but I now have too many 🙈 …
Alan Catchpole
The staff is always very friendly. They have a good variety of men's and womans clothing along with boots and shoes. There prices are very good along with the quality of there merchandise.
Lil Olin
Huge selection of high end clothing at resonable prices. The staff is friendly, but not overbearing. My favorite thrift store to shop in! However be careful in your purchases because some things can be overpriced for how worn they are, for example $20+ for a pair of used shorts or pants that get holes after a few wears. The best deals are tags on clothing.
Brenda Frost
Always busy. Great selection of men's and women's in a variety of sizes. Large plus size selection. If selling, use the app to get on the wait list
Christopher Cioc
Not terrible, bit they don't give much for items. Turned in 2 pairs of barely used Steve Madden shoes in great condition, cost of over $100. They gave $52 with a cash price of $15.60 or $26 in credit which would get me maybe 2 items... So... Meh, not bad, not good.
Candace Ramirez
One of my favorite shops! A great curated thrift selection. They have a lot of trendy stuff, but also classic staples like leather bags, boots, and whatnot. More expensive than a Goodwill, but everything here is in excellent condition, so it's worth the extra few bucks.
Liza Anderson
One of the best secondhand stores I’ve ever been to. New with tags, old with (expected) holes...all good. I got an old Black Sabbath T-shirt for $12-this would’ve gone for $30+ in SF- a brand new Element maxi dress for $25, msrp $74.95. Nice staff and well organized.
Kelli Derum
This place is hit or miss. Sometimes you can find the most amazing stuff here. Other times, blah. Most stuff is reasonably priced. Long, long lines at checkout. A mix of different personalities (some friendly, others not so much) work here.
amaya flight
❤️ Crossroads whenever I need extra space for my closet that means it's time to go sell, trade or even consign my gently used clothes and preloved shoes and other items. I always choose store credit no matter what. It's like getting items for free. The staff are great and very helpful. It's gets busy at the check out but when that happens I usually just browse around by the hat department. I've been buying and selling my stuff here for years I've seen the renovations, change in store set even the buying/consignment is now much faster you just have to check in using the iPad show your items, and you can shop around while the buyer sort through your items.
Elk Paauw
Has a high clothing turnover rate, and there's always cool half off items, though you sometimes have to dig for them. Great hat and bag selection. My biggest complaint is that their shoes are consistently overpriced; it seems like shoe prices start at $25, even if they're worn out.
Anna M
I love this place. There's always a half-off rack, items are organized by style and then color, and prices are really decent. It's also a good place to spy mid-level designer handbags that are worn but still have some use left, for affordable prices.
New items are mixed in with the thrifted clothes, but they're marked as such. I don't care for their new lines or jewelry selection, but the clothes are great. Fitting rooms are pretty nice too, although they could use more hooks. The associates are friendly enough, some more than others.
I can't recommend it for buying unless you're selling really trendy clothes, and even then, don't expect a lot.
Holly Sarkosh
They are nice and streamline the selling process for efficiency. I was a little disappointed with an expensive NWT jacket I brought in that I didn’t get much back for, however, that’s something you have to be aware of and accept before you bring clothes in.
Stephanie Nam
This is my favorite secondhand store in Seattle! The u district location is also great. Everyone in the staff is always so kind to me.
For sellers: It isn't a great place to sell price wise, but if you want immediate cash there is nowhere else to go besides Buffalo exchange which is a mess. They give fair prices though for more fast fashion or accesible brands especially. I like to sell my less expensive pieces here. It is much better than thredup where you get 50¢ for a brand new cashmere sweater or 20¢ for madewell jeans. Otherwise, for selling more designer pieces consignment or online tends to be a better option though it takes much longer and is not guaranteed to sell. I have bought things like a brand new with tag Stone Cold Fox dress and DVF wool blazer for $50 and $40 respectively which means the seller only got 50% of that in credit or 33% cash which is little compared to what they could have gotten selling on poshmark. The higher priced consignment items here are hung up high or behind the counter which makes it hard to see them I honestly never shop from the pieces behind the counter, and I see the same items week in and out, so I'm not sure how well you would do consigning here. They do consign more designer pieces and offer 50% of the selling price.
This location is super busy even on days when you wouldn't expect it. They have an app which is amazing because you can put your name on the list from home and leave when it gets close so you get there right in time to sell. Otherwise you can spend hours waiting. The u district store I've never spent more than 10 minutes waiting.
They are pretty picky with what they take needing to be in good condition and on trend and in season. A designer brand simply isn't enough if it doesn't meet those requirements. They do take non branded things or non designer things if it is on trend and in good condition.
For buyers: this is a great place to shop! The buyers are great and buy some amazing pieces. Most things are on trend and in great condition. You'll find some good things if you look. I have found amazing things for prices I wouldn't be able to get anywhere else even secondhand like on poshmark or a consignment store. sometimes the prices are even better than the goodwill down the street. (that goodwill is expensive though.) Some things I've gotten from here are a leather collar wool peacoat from the Kooples for $65, Mother jeans for $22, silk equipment shirt for $24, AG shearling denim jacket from $42. The prices are not dirt cheap but the clothes are current, and in excellent to new condition for about a quarter of the price you can find at a place like Nordstrom rack. And I always find a ton more things than goodwill. I find more here than all the consignment stores I've been to as they tend to price super high and much more than Buffalo exchange which truly has almost nothing. it really is hit or miss though. I could go every day and find completely different things. after items have been there 30 days, they get marked down 50% which is when you can find even better deals although all the really amazing things tend to be snatched up before then.
They allow you to return for store credit within 7 days with a receipt which is nice as well.
They do have a range of sizes but tend to have more on the smaller end. It varies depending on what people bring in.
Kijia Wachowicz
I get a large majority of my nicer clothing from crossroads and good will both of these places on capital Hill have good shoes and second hand high quality goods. Always good things to find unless you're having an off day :) sometimes the prices are a bit high, and it's like come on.
Patrick Hyde
Really good selection of clothes for a thrift, I've found designer stuff here in great condition at very good prices. Some of the lower end stuff is over priced (including h&m tier clothing that is often marginally cheaper than buying new at the mall) but it's worth it to wade through for the good stuff.
L I L L Y. O U T S O N
Love that place! You really have to be strategic about what you bring in to sell and aware that they might not take everything or anything. Overall they are doing an amazing job at recycling my clothes♡♡
Very Oliver Raft
Great selection! Will definitely be back
Meghan O'Neill
There is a great selection and generally kind staff here. I have been here a few times over the last many years and it has unfortunately become more and more expensive. I suppose that is happening all o er Seattle, but Cap Hill used to be the best for thrift stores!
Justin
They pay 33% cash or 50% in store credit. On the spot, provided they have a demand for what you're selling. They don't hold your items hostage, and wait for the item to sell like other consignment shops do. Helpful people, seems hip, good location. On the corner of Broadway.
Johanna P
Had a good experience selling my gently used items here. I will consider them again in the future.
Brandon Giles
I am very happy to have this available to sell off clothes, but I wish the process was presented in a more welcoming way. A lot of info is thrown at you, (especially in covid land) and when a follow-up question came, the response seemed putout. I get that it's rough needing to explain the same long process over and over, but perhaps better signage could help ease some of that tension. Still 5 stars!
Jessica Diamonds
I'll come here to sell every once in a while, but I would NEVER shop here.
They gave me $6 for a pair of boots that are currently being sold for about $40. This is an absolute joke - they were originally $30 from Target, so I feel bad for whoever ends up buying them.
Steven Ray
Great place to shop and sell, but I really didn't care for one of the salesperson attitude. Besides that ok. I much prefer the Crossroads in the U- District. That's a wonderful shop. The sellers are always up -beat and willing to help you out.
Jason Babcock
Outta sight man ! I mean this place is totally rad and the staff rocks beyond words. Great selection, clean, organised and terrific cash bennies. The employees are more helpful and friendly than most of Macy's in downtown Seattle. Thanks guys and gals...a joy to visit your cap hill shoppers!
Flarbo Warbosims
Pretty great consignment shop. Although the items here have a premium price, everything's in good condition. I've been a satisfied customer for years. Also you can sell your clothes, obviously, but ive never used that service anyways.
Gwendolyn Wood
Good stuff here! Not particularly cheap. My main complaint is that they mix the XLs and XXLS in with the larges. I get that they don't have a lot of these sizes but it wouldn't be that much extra work to seperate them to be more friendly to shoppers of those sizes. It kind of stinks.
Hailey Harrison
Got lucky and got 2 pairs of jeans for $12 each on clearance. Love them
Claire Hughes
Lots of inventory, it can be a little pricey and is usually pretty busy but it’s worth stopping in
giada v
When I went there they had a lot of name brands and a great selection! The only poor thing is they are a bit pricey
Edit: I just went here today and found a lot of great things like a Patagonia sweater for on 24$!
Megan D
Staff is eclectic in their style choices but helpful in finding what you are hunting for. I always leave with at least one piece I know I will have in my wardrobe for a few years.
Narmina Osmanova
their staff has changed over the many years i've shopped/worked here and it's finally chill to come in and deal with nice employees. i sell here often and come away with good cash and occasionally a decent piece of clothing.
Brigida Olmsted
I've been here a few times, and they've always given me great customer service, and very fair prices for a consignment shop. They are always my first choice when I have items to take to a consignment shop.
Cynthia Lepore
While well known to have good finds, I saw at least 3 different garments with large stains and not discounted for them
Keejaa Wachowicz-Ramgotra (Keej)
They are quite helpful here and have a good system for trading clothes.. but yah they choose seasonal clothes so make sure you're ahead of the fashion curve or just the seasonal wear if you're looking to sell.
Ringo
Quality clothing curated for the neighborhood. Great for women, loads of options, but the men's section keeps on shrinking. Still the best option on Broadway!
Irish Mcbain
It was alright. Disappointed I did not have items they wanted.
Drew Elliott
First off they have Menwear,
Great stuff
Good prices
On tread but has great selection for basic.
Staff are young and act as such
Need help with Windows displays

Christina McPike-Sellers
My dream come true gently used Shoppers dream my favorite store walk past it discovered it shop and traded one can't wait to go back shop and trade again.
Alexandra Bower
A fantastic spot to find unique clothing items! I've been shopping @ Crossroads since 2004 and love the variety I find. Some visits are better than others, but overall the selection is great!
Dani Keahi
Loved the selection and prices at this thrift store! I was so pleasantly surprised coming from the NYC thrift stores that are often almost as expensive as new items!
Jerry Haack
It's a great place to get top of the line second-hand clothes and shoes. It's a place where you can take your kids school shopping and they won't complain. Awesome place
Kirk Bratvold
Good selection, fair prices.
Angela
I found a lot of items misplaced back on the racks, but that can be expected from a larger thrift store. Overall some pretty good finds if you can look through everything!
Azalea Miles
It can be a little hit or miss here but in general the clothing here is unique and in great condition.
C S
This place makes me never want to shop traditional retail again. Such high-quality and fashionable finds. Makes for a lovely afternoon
AV Goodsell
I've never found anything I've liked here yet. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. The interior could use more light and less clutter.
LehCarXRachel
I love this place!!! I love the idea of recycling clothes so I'm really happy this is near my house.
Saloni Nahar
Awesome store! Just wondering if you wash items after they’ve been returned?
Lily Paddie
I love that cross roads has upper end clothing but their prices are a little high. I've gotten the same shirt at the thrift shop a block from crossroads for $20 less.
Vijayasarathy Kannan
Reasonable price and quality. Selection is not that great. Selling dresses is very difficult, they don't accept that easily.
Kaleigh Laurino
Over priced but you can almost always find doc martens
Jacob Berghof
Like all thrift stores there isn't the greatest selection for large dudes. But the prices are pretty solid and there's a LOT of stuff.
perri rhoden
They do have great clothes. But selling takes hours. Don't believe them when they say there isn't a long wait.
Sara Bachman-Rhodes
Favorite second hand store. Sometimes staff is a little terse. Today all were super chill and helpful!
Elana Marie
cute stuff but wayyy overpriced... i would suggest you go to a goodwill or something if you want affordability
Alexis López
The bomb! Killer deals on jeans and other sundries. My wife loves to pick through the purse selections here too.
Caoilainn Barger
Great selection, well organized, it fits right in on capital hill, I loved shopping here. Would definitely recommend
Angela Fraser
Love the good finds at this place! Name brands at decent prices. It's the only place I buy from!
Nick Coffman
It's a little over priced for a second hand store, but it's trendy and has nicer things. Fun finds are always likely at crossroads.
mitchell steinbach
I spend some time and money here each week cus it make me happy
s blue
I've been buying and selling here for years. Absolutely love it! There really is something for everyone. ❤️
David Feig
staff seems very nice buy please download the app and sign up to sell waaay in advance if you show up with stuff to sell you might be waiting a long time as the people on the app will pop in and out as you wait an hour
Amy Spens
Awesome selection of brand name second-hand clothing, and clean dressing rooms to try it all on in!
Sarah LaCombe
I never regret coming here. Super nice staff and I can always find something worth buying.
Melanie Clark
I'm not stylish, so I shop here because it's filled with people who are. Occasionally, people think I'm stylish. The system works.
Malia Villani
crossroads trading always has nice and trendy clothes to wear and the people who work there are always super nice!
Principal Pax
It's used clothing store. They buy and sell. So, reasonable and ever changing selection, but no guarantees.
Sanchit Batra
Got an excellent 100% merino wool sweater for $18
Kevin Chung
Always a great selection of items, and good designer brands quite often!
Lian Liu
Great store! Always find something nice there! Great price too!

You can find some great items but be prepared to spend some time looking through a lot of stuff.
Tonya Freitag
I love the place and the staff r very kind and considerate
Duane Nelson
A great selection at a very reasonable price. The staff was very friendly as well.

Judgment free shopping accompanied with trendy friendly staff members. What more could you ask for?
Erica F.
Always some great finds here. Make sure to look at what's hanging on the walls.
Marcia Galan
Not sure if I'm cool enough to shop here, despite the fact i found what I wanted.
Shannan Leitner
Lots of great clothes & friendly staff.
Zane Lyons
Pricey, but a better selection than the thrift stores nearby.
