The staff is friendly, the place is neat and organized, however their plus size section is verrrrrrry small. I've tried giving plus size (on trend, never worn) clothing to this store multiple times, and they only take maybe 2 items out of 10. Which explains why they don't have many plus size options. And the options they do have are not very fashionable (old patterns, etc.) Although I love their sales, the most I can get here are shoes. 🤷🏾‍♀️

AHH i have to be dramatic and write a review. i had such a refreshing experience today! both times I walked in everyone was so nice, welcoming, conversational, etc. Both humans that helped me in and cashed me out (if that’s a term??) were so sweet! Like it wasn’t just a fine/neutral time; I literally am still thinking about it hours later :)

First time in Plato's. I found an unused Patricia Nash backpack (found recently on Patricia Nash website priced at $299.00. This backpack has beautiful details and is soft to the touch. I saw other beautiful items too.

Always had great experiences at this location! I typically sell, for myself and my female family members that can't be bothered to do it, and we have gotten great offers! If you aren't getting good offers here, please don't blame the staff. Most people think they can just dump their garbage clothes here, but you can't do that and expect $60+ Anyway, we have found really cute stuff here for great prices. My favorite pair of boots are from this location, only $12 for knee high lace up red leather boots that get me tons of compliments! I highly recommend this location.

Favorite place to shop, you can find the best pieces here. They have the latest styles and trends in clothing which is the best part.I love Plato's Closet because I can find popular brands that are usually pricey for much much less. It's also the first place I go to when I have clothes to give away beacuse they pay you for your clothes. The staff are great people and are always helpful they make it so easy to shop by having signs. It's always clean here and overall a great place to shop at.

I think my favorite thing about this Plato's Closet is that i know i'm always going to find something i love whether that be a new pair of Jordan's, a Jersey or an arm full of vintage shirts. Everything is priced so good its impossible to turn anything away. All of the staff here are incredible they're always super friendly and helpful. The Manager Elsie is unbelievably great to work with and the store she runs is nothing short of awesome, its constantly filled with new products that are perfect for me and the promotions she comes up with are fantastic. I cant even tell you how many times I've gone in just because of an Instagram post saying i have a chance to win 20% off. I highly recommend shopping here, I've never been disappointed and I'm sure you won't be either.

This place is amazing! There were a variety amount of items, organized well. I always had found some good name brand and trendy clothes! I love that they keep a rack full of the most trendiest pieces, it makes it easier for me to know what I’m looking for! The staff are really friendly and kind, and took great precautions regarding the pandemic. I highly recommend coming to check out this place!

I literally cannot say enough good things about this location or about Elsie and her staff. I came in the other day looking for a specific brand coat. They didn’t have it in the store but Elsie and a team mate went to their storage location SPECIFICALLY for me and pulled all the coats in that brand. I don’t know of any other place that would do that! Here’s the thing, no place is perfect... no person is perfect... BUT the staff here clearly works hard to bring you the best options at amazing prices. I always find something, even if I’m not really looking. I will only shop here and love that I can support small businesses in doing that.

This place is great! The staff are always so nice and they are always coming up with new ideas to make the shopping experience better! They can be a little picky on which clothes they choose to buy but that’s okay. They always have the best brands and for very reasonable prices! Great place to shop and only thing is that the music is loud but other than that it’s a amazing experience!

They have a variety of clothes here. They always have clothes for at least $5. I got one of my wedges for $10 here and a dress for $8. They're always updated and have trendy styles. The employees there are very welcoming and they aren't afraid to start up a conversation with you. Overall great store to get clothes for all kinds of occasions.

They have really good clothes for all types of styles, this is my favorite plato’s to shop at even though it’s a bit far from me. They all so have little sales and giveaways all the time so that’s also really great I recommend shopping here. Also if you’re really into shoes they always have you set.

I wanna start out by saying how amazing Elsie is she is dedicated hard-working and an awesome manager! Elsie and her employees are amazing to their customers! I love Going to the specific location because not only do I sell my clothes there but I get treated decent. I have read some of these nasty reviews and I totally disagree with some of the comments, elsie is not a nasty person whatsoever she’s actually amazing and cares about her customers! This chain thrift store, is what it is, a chain. While I typically do not shop at these stores, this location has great prices and the staff is very helpful. I have sold and shopped there. While the location could be more organized, it is understandable due the volume and traffic they get on a daily basis. While they do cater to the 14-25 age group, I have found many items I like (in the 26-35 age group). I like to go here especially for outerwear and sweaters. You can now also follow this location on social media for insights on upcoming sales and their "point" system.

The team here at Platos Roseville deserves a 10/10. They are super helpful and kind to me every time I've been there. They have always offered fair prices for clothes that I trade in. They also have THE BEST vintage clothing selection out of any other resale shop in the Twin Cities. My go to store for everything in my closet ❤❤❤

Plato’s closet is my all time favorite store and since I recently moved to this area and discovered this location, I’m obsessed! Maple grove used to be my favorite location but this definitely tops it. They have clothes that I actually like and all of them are up to date on styles! Also the staff is always very friendly. This is also the largest location I’ve gone to, and I’ve been to about 6 in Minnesota! I love their policy where they give you a point if you don’t get a plastic bag ❤️

Decent prices for the most part and you can find hold stuff. The real ploy though is what they pay people for their clothes, I brought it 3 while garbage bags and they offered like $14, and $10 of that was for a pair of brand new $90 Levi jeans. So I took it to Goodwill. If you're shopping though it is a good place

Plato’s is one of my favorite stores, especially the Roseville one. Their staff is so kind and willing to help you out with whatever you need. Clothes are always a great price, not to mention the amazing brands they have! It’s always super clean in the store, and workers are always there to help. I always find everything I’m looking for and more lol. Platos helps me find new items and must haves for my closet. I love thrifting because it helps recycle clothes and it makes the world a better place :-) I would definitely recommend Plato’s closet Roseville!

Great place to buy affordable and trendy clothes. The selection is pretty good and every time I visit, the store is always very neat. The staff there are ok. They are pretty picky when it comes to buying your clothes. If you want to succeed in selling, your clothes must be good quality and trendy.

It’s not easy running a small business during a pandemic but these guys are trying their best! You have the ability purchase over the phone and have it shipped to you, be sure to follow them on Instagram! I love that they are diving into the vintage market too. I followed them on Instagram and entered a giveaway and won free $15!! (Which was awesome) I went there a month after I was supposed to pick up my $15 and they still gave it to me no problem. They also have dollar days (happening now) where someone I know got $1091 of name brand clothes and shoes for only $91!!!! I’m in love with this place . Idc ❤️

Good selection. However,the pricing could use an adjustment. Especially when considering the amount they pay for men’s clothes to begin with. I mean no disrespect whatsoever, but it’s all females that work here. How do they, or are they supposed to know what guys really LIKE TO WEAR. Not from what they learn in some magazine about men’s fashion. Let’s face it, we live in Minnesota, not L.A. or New York. What we like and what we wear is much different from those places as well as many other areas across the country. And finally, if you’re going to rip us off to the point where you are literally embarrassed to tell the customer out loud what you are going to offer them for their clothes, then let the price you are reselling them for reflect that. Overall pretty good. I’ll prolly be back.

The old location was cramped and I never had much luck there. The new location is spacious and every time I go, I score some incredible deals!!! Just last week I got a down Columbia parka in excellent condition for $35!!! Love this Plato's, it's one of my favorite places to shop.

The real problem is the fast fashion industry in general. When people are upset that their "trendy clothes" aren't bought it's probably because we all value our things differently. It's part marketing and part psychology. Stores run sales at the end of the season ..stuffs cheap than. But most people have to follow the heard. This is a store you shop at when you like what you like and don't give into others worthless opinions. They buy weird stuff but it's all based on who's buying it's their business to find something they think will sell..it's all based on opinion. Not fact checked like ebay or a pawnshop. In fact sell you clothes on ebay if you think they are worth something.

I cant say ive ever had an outstanding experience at this store. I mostly sell when I go in, and most of the time the experience is average. When i do have problems theyre pretty bad..but first, I hate their "older styles" reason for not buying. How many of their customers actually think about how old the shirt is before buying it? And how many people actually know how to check the labels for dates? If its cute, and in good condition or still has tags on it.... who cares if its a 4yr old shirt? Even if its a nwt, solid color, v-neck, banana republic..if its from 2012 they dont want it. One time i brought clothes in & the girl didnt show me the bin of what they bought just said "3 items for $15". When i got home i noticed there were 5 things gone. 3 shirts, a $50 pair of Ruffhewn boots, and a $105 pair of jeans NWT. When i called them the same day they said they had the jeans but had to look for the boots, but insisted everything was paid for. Then why was i told an incorrect # of items when she paid me? Isnt it right infront of you on the computer?? They gave me 24hrs to BUY BACK the boots and jeans that i dont believe i ever received $ for anyway, especially since i only got $15 that visit. And apparently the boots and jeans counted for $12 of the $15 which means i only got $1 per shirt. Another time i had my boyfriend bring my clothes in for me. The store was dead and she said it would only be about a 15min wait. So he went and sat down in the store for 15mins. He said he didnt even see her go through it. He went up to the counter after 15mins to ask her when she'd get to it, and she said "we're you waiting in here?! Im sorry, i forgot." And grabbed a single item on the top of the bag and bought only that.

I always have the best of luck in this Platos. Whether its just a hat, wallet, earrings or clothes I always leave super satisfied. And I like the customer serice they are all so busy with the buying proccess but still have time to help shopping customers and keep it clean. Its never trashed like other retailers and is easy to navigate.

Platos has been reborn! They seem to have moved locations and oh boy is the new one better. The aisles aren't crammed full anymore and there are bright colors and so much natural light, it's fantastic!. The selection for clothes is awesome now, they have SO much. I found a pair of studded Miss me jeans for $35 dollars!! those are like $300 pants. Their stuff is sooo cheap. I bought my ENTIRE spring wardrobe there the other day for $150 and I'm talking a closet FULL of clothes, not just a few things. Oh and the staff , oh the staff :) They are soo nice. They aren't pushy and it doesn't feel like they just want my money. I actually had a conversation with the girl at the check out. :) They have a full time fitting room attendant now too so you don't have to wander around to find a staff member to let you in. (The new fitting rooms are also super nice now too, I dont feel like the light fixtures are going to fall on me.) There is also a nice waiting area for the fitting rooms they have some really comfy chairs now instead of the creepy stained couch at the old location ( that thing gave me the hibijeebees ) The only bad thing I have to say about the new Platos store is that they aren't close to my usual bus stop, so I did have to find a ride. That is why I put appeal at very good instead of Excellent. :P Maybe if you're interested we can start a Platos shuttle from Rosedale mall haha

Loved this place. The staff was amazing. The place is picked up and clean. The prices are awesome. Great place to take teenagers who are are going to outgrow or out-fashion their clothes in 6 months anyway. I even picked up a sweet flannel for $10.

The wife always seems to like this place overall compared to all the others plato closet. Always find myself stuck in the parking lot for hours. And she always seems to find something here. Other then that the staff seems to be abit nosey and always find them hovering around you or behind you while your trying to do some shopping.
