This store is a great place to shop. The prices are great and good quality items because it is located in a nice area and near Grandville Public Schools so you get a lot of kids donating items.

Lotsa low priced stuff to look thru! I found some cute clothes, lotsa pockets and a cute painted bottle for a great price! Friendly staff too!

Very reasonable price and loved how the clothes and everything else is separated from each other

The place is great in general. It’s the people that is the problem. I am blown away by peoples disrespect towards others, and the merchandise that are in the bins. Some of it being coffee pots, records etc. tearing things up is just ridiculous! These ‘people’ need to settle down, respect others and their personal space. There’s enough time and items for everyone!!

First and foremost, this is not the cleanest or safest place. Gloves are a must. I've been here many times when I used to resell items as a side hustle. Be aware, lots of resellers are always here. Some resellers get crazy and are literally prepared to fight you over a stupid pair of shoes. I understand the whole game but that's just so unnecessary. Besides that, what was extremely irritating to me, was those who come in a lot, have people on the inside hiding really good items in the bins and letting them know before the bins come out where they hide it, so they can position themselves where the bin is going. It's very obvious and blatant. They will deny this over and over and won't do anything about it because they're all in on it. They need to hire upstanding people. Not cool as a company, Goodwill.

Not for the weak. Come with gloves, a mask, lots of patience and strong shoulders.

There's a lot of digging through the bins. And a lot of scavengers. I was told to move more than once, people would come push my cart away and step in front of me. Then we got evacuated for a fire in the back. Once back in they took a whole row of bins to fill them back up. I saw people over there looking at the bins so I went over. I made a mistake and picked up a dress and got told that I wasn't supposed to touch anything until they had the whole row back in. Some really rude shoppers and staff. Probably won't ever go back

Good mostly nice people that work there and shop there

I love going to the Goodwill Outlet!! So many awesome things to find!! It's different every time I go there!! Great prices too!!
Renee Farber
So many bins to go through. I was there for 9 hours. Spent $110 and my car was full. All items over 1.5 lbs were $2 total. I purchased sewing material, arts & crafts, shoes and boots, wall hangings, clothes, toys, purses, hand bags, table decor, wall art, etc. So much to choose from. This store had 10X the amount compared to Muskegon outlet. Can't send photos.. it's still in my car and it's late.

Fantastic place to pick up many different items. This is the last stop for these items before they are scraped. So most everything is sold by the pound !
Hannah McNeill
Does anybody actually read these??? I hope so. I want to compliment an employee but I dont know his name. He is always wearing a cat mask and has curly hair. I go to 'the bins' a lot and he is super friendly and nice and funny every time I am there. Hope he gets some recognition for being a quality employee and making my thrifting days fun!

I've been here several times now and been to GW outlets in Ohio, Indiana, California, and Florida. This one is extremely hit or miss. I have found good items, but there's not really shoe and handbag bins like at other locations. Also I will say out of every one I've been to the "regulars" at this one are literally THE WORST. They line up and take all the Carts with literally like a water bottle in it for hours so getting a cart here is terrible. There's a lot of obnoxious behavior by the regulars that I haven't seen allowed at other stores.. Also I've been here since the pandemic & there are no arrow guidelines or rules for people per bin or social distancing whatsoever, especially compared to the other locations I've been to.

Been going here for years now you never know what you will find...I find a lot of toys with lots of life left in them, clothes, shoes ,furniture... I suggest not giving up to soon when you start looking. It's a very different kind if shopping digging through bins

Love this place and the staff. HOWEVER, there is one younger, tall male worker who is just beyond rude. I heard him yell, full on yell, at mutiple people today who just didn't understand you have to wait when a new bin comes out. All while I was already explaining it to them. Not everyone is seasoned at this, some people are new, calm down. I've seen him snap a lot on other trips too. He makes me not come out anymore, but the rest of the staff is lovely and helpful so I keep coming back. It would be an easy 5 stars if it weren't for him.

Friendly and helpful when you ask questions or when asking for help.

I cant say enough good things about this place, but to start, the employees that I encounter are always professional and courteous. They make the experience of deal hunting all the better when they kindly point out things that are bought separately. I have been properly greeted and treated well by all. I recently moved from Omaha Nebraska, to Grand Rapids only bringing what could fit in my car, My empty home is now near full thanks to the Goodwill center. My best deal so far was my Kitchen table that I purchased for 8 dollars. Avoiding costly furniture stores has really positively impacted my life. Thank you for the wonderful service that you provide our community.

This place functions as expected. It’s a little grimey but what else can yo expect. I appreciate their late hours and dedicated employees. There are two different rooms. Get ready to move some clothes around.
BRING GLOVES AND A MASK.

It's a great place to find things you need for dirt cheap! I was there for 8 hours today and had a blast with my s/o I spent $30 and got an old navy coat lots of frozen toys. An LOL backpack, a MK purse, muk-luk boots that looked practically brand new! Just make sure you bring your mask and some gloves and a bottle of hand sanitizer! They'll rotate out the bins they use every so often which makes it super exciting! Almost like a game! Had a blast!
Katherine Henry
Friendly staff & fair pricing! Much better than the GWO's in Florida!

In regards to the reviews about the store, the workers, and customers the environment of the store it what makes the shopping so enjoyable in the first place. I had a blast racing against other people to find the items and if you are quick enough you can find some real steals. I’ve found many on brands such as H&M, Adidas, and Vans.
Terri Guthrie
Definitely not for everyone. Must wear rubber gloves to dig thru large bins. But kinda like a treasure hunt! We've gotten some amazing deals. Stuff is sold by the pound!
Matthew
Fantastic e-commerce place, can't say enough on how well they treated me. i have worked in online sales as well and was blown away by their customer service. 10/10 would buy from them again.

This was the first Goodwill outlet I've visited, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Large selection of clothing in bins, just had to dig around to find some good name Brand stuff. Old Navy, American Eagle, Express, and several others. Housewares were not very good condition, so don't expect much in that area. Workers were friendly....worth the trip.
Debi
Can drop off items that other people can use. Plus Goodwill has a Jobs Training Program which is funded from your donations. Excellent program! Great workers help you unload your stuff. Thank you for helping our community 💙 …

I love shopping here, always finding big (and small bargains). I've done so for more than 20 years and the staff continues to modify setting to facilitate shoppers who are an interesting mix of folks. I've moved many miles north, but still take every opportunity to return to my favorite store!
Esther Heethuis
The Goodwill Outlet was an amazing experience! There were several bins of clothes to dig through and I was able to find plenty of finds. The customer service was excellent; very pleasant. You have to be prepared to dig through bins of thrift clothes!!

Employees were quite rude but I get it.

I bought a book off of eBay, and noticed that it was shipping from the Goodwill outlet in Grandville. It's very close to home, so I thought I would go there to pick it up. I went there and picked up the phone as directed and an employee picked up. I told him that I wanted to pick up a book recently bought online, and he told me that eBay orders sometimes take hours to come through. I asked him if he could at least check if it came through since I was standing here. He laughed and said sure. Looked up the book, found it in their inventory. Only one copy there. He said that the order hadn't gone through yet, so he didn't have an invoice and couldn't release the book. I asked him if I could show him my PayPal and eBay payment confirmations, and he laughed again and said "no it doesn't work like that." Um really? It's a $4 book. Not a book of much monetary value. And they couldn't hand it over with proof of purchase? Whatever. Have fun paying to ship it to me.
Edit: A woman from the outlet did call me and apologize. She said that the person who I spoke with was not well versed on e-commerce, and there were other ways that he could have looked it up if he had known how. She thanked me for contacting, and said that this experience opened their eyes to some cross training that needed to be done. She refunded me the cost of my book. Very sweet lady who went above and beyond. I'm changing my review from 1 to 4 stars.

The new 'price per pound' is a great time saver when you're waiting to check out, but the results are very negative if you pick out anything heavy, such as a suitcase. Some heavy items are more costly than new. I picked out a dirty ice cooler I thought I could repair, but the charge per pound was outlandish.....thus, it was thrown out at the end of the day.
Regardless, put on some gloves and have fun digging for your treasure.

This is the coolest and scariest Goodwill. Most merchandise is priced by the pound. You drive your cart on to a scale and they give you a total. There's a system to how new items are brought out to the sales floor, in giant wheeling bins. If you enjoy Goodwill this place might be for you. Some of the customers wear medical masks and long sleeved rubber dish gloves. It's hardcore thrifting. Do it, for the thrill of the thrift.
Travis R
I lost my keys and Brett the manager when above and beyond to help me find them... and It was a miracle a worker from the back came quickly to the front with my keys found them in a bin!! I just thanked the Lord and Brett...Hope I got his name correct! Thanks Brett!!!

This is an interesting place to shop. You never know what you might find. Goodwill Outlets are not the same as Goodwill Stores. When items don't sell at the Goodwill Stores they get shipped to the Outlet centers. This is where the unsold items are put onto carts and usually sold by the pound. This is the last place these unwanted items go before being recycled. Don't expect a nice clean storefront. You'll have to dig through large bins to find good things. It's a great place if you're into bargain hunting.
Ty
Although I did witness some verbal altercations between customers here, I have found decent things for very low prices, so it evens out. If you go, be prepared as it can be a bit overwhelming at times.
Jessica Medemar (Jessie)
Great place if you like to rummage through things that didn't sell at the goodwill retail shops.
The Real JonBar
Good finds sometimes, not for everyone. Exercise good judgement and have a great time. If you are a germaphobe, avoid this place.

I’ve been here twice . The first time I found a lot of good items digging . The second time found tons of good items. Employees was nice and helpful.
Stephine George
I love it here, I go when I can and I get the very things I need and want in the bargains and they charge you according by the weight like if your stuff is mostly electronic
You will pay cause it's heavey on the scales so just bag your stuff and weigh it and pay less don't weigh your things in the shopping cart on the scale you will pay more it happened to me and all I had in the cart was videos clothes and 2 hand bags and I leave it in the cart and I roll it on the scale and I paid 100 + so you just whatch those people at the front they'll two times you just for used things, and also if your going with stuff let them know what you have I came in with my coat over me and dispute me telling the people in the front that I had this upon my first in tree they still charge me 2.00 dollars for my coat I had brought from home so you becarefule it's a good place to shop overall keep your stuff with you and don't leave them unattended and that's it come shop have fun walk with food becuase there chips is 1.00 dollar and pop 1.50 dollars and there popcorn is 50 cents so yes go shop there you won't go wrong .:::::::;))))))))

A place to buy for a fraction to resale on line, I bought items like $4 dls, sold it on line for $50. Most of the time is about hunting for the treasure.

I was wondering, I heard they charge by the pound. What exactly is the fee for digging thru stuff??
Helen Steensma
Deduction of only 1/2 lb. for cart weight is WAY wrong...carts weigh more than that! You're cheating us!!!

I accidentally found this outlet store. This store is full of everything that didn't sell in their local retail stores. You pay by weight for most items. I got a cart full for under $20. Next time I'm bringing a pair of gloves with me.
